1- How many works do you have on AO3?

2- What's your total AO3 word count?

3- What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

LOL, I had just automatically rearranged my stats graph to rank fics by kudos instead of hits. It's:

Season of Courtship (inevitably), a Darcy/Elizabeth canon-compliant engagement interquel I wrote as a teenager;

But Thou Didst Not Leave His Soul In Hell (always a pleasant surprise), a short AU in which Luke convinces Anakin/Vader to flee the Empire with him;

per ardua ad astra, a Rogue One+ANH Jyn/Cassian AU in which Jyn, Cassian, and Bodhi escape Scarif only to get trapped on the Death Star and forced to pass themselves off as Imperials;

we get dark, only to shine, a longggg yet unfinished AU of The Borgias in which Cesare and Lucrezia begin their affair during S1 instead of S3 (CW for canon sibling incest, murder, etc).

Contradictions and Varieties (baffling), a short Darcy/Elizabeth AU I wrote for a fest in which it takes them slightly longer to get together.

4- Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try, especially with fics I'm actively updating, but I'm always behind on it. I mostly just get distracted and forget.

5- What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Oh, interesting question! I don't write a lot of angsty endings, but there are a few options, and I think it probably would have to be the gift of men, a short (~1k) Fourth Age fic in which Eldarion goes along with a politically convenient marriage to one of Faramir and Éowyn's daughters, and falls in love with her, only for her to die of old age while Aragorn and Faramir are still alive and Eldarion remains young.

Honorable mentions: Set On This Path (Luke and Leia are brought up in the Empire + fusion with the story of the bloodbending brothers in B1 of Legend of Korra, complete with murder-suicide) and the last day (a chirpy epistolary fic that takes an abrupt turn after the genocidal attack that begins the Guild Wars games).

6- What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Um, just considering the ones that have endings, to be fair, and ... hmm, that's harder. A lot of happy endings! Probably the ones that are happiest for me, personally, are First Impressions (m!Elizabeth/f!Darcy re-telling of P&P) and whatever we deny or embrace (f!Cassian/Jyn).

7- Do you write crossovers?

Not often, but sometimes! Like now.

8- Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Yes! I've gotten hate more than once wrt Season of Courtship in various versions (even before it become so overwhelmingly the popular favorite of my fics). The rest has been on other fics and mostly on ff.net.

TBH the subtler stuff bothers me more than outright hate (corrections based on adaptations or fanon or expanded universe material I already said I wasn't using, concern that I might switch permanently to a new format I'm trying out, etc).

9- Do you write smut?

Very rarely. I respect people who can write good smut (hi incognita!), but I'm definitely a fade to black sort unless the ship is already so out there that I'm long past feeling self-conscious about it.

10- Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes. It's happened a couple of times, but the main one was someone who stole a few Austen fics from various people and tried to piece them together into something they could sell on Amazon. One of the fics was The Rich Are Always Respectable (not what I would choose to plagiarize if I were going to, but ... okay).

11- Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, several times. I think it's cool!

12- Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I wrote a short fic with my friend @tulinlina many years ago :)

13- What's your all-time favorite ship?

Darcy/Elizabeth. Truly this ship is the terror of the seas!

14- What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

Oh, man. This probably requires more self-knowledge than I really have. Um ... I hate saying it, but we get dark, only to shine is likely this. I had so many plans for where it was going to go, but I'm just in a very different fannish place these days.

15- What are your writing strengths?

It feels weird to say, but I think I write solid dialogue (it's certainly my favorite thing to write!) and fairly clean prose in general.

16- What are your writing weaknesses?

Description is my truest nemesis—I tend to place scenes in just empty or vaguely described space. Fight scenes and that sort of thing are really difficult (for related reasons). Finishing things—my stuff nearly always grows out of control and it screws up pacing and so on.

17- What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

A little goes a long way, IMO. I did a bit of it in my fic about Leia and Cassian and Alderaanian, in tongues and quiet sighs, so I can't judge it too hard, but it's very much something to handle with care (especially with conlangs—Tolkien fic can be pretty grating this way).

18- What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Tolkien! My first attempt at a fic was a Faramir-goes-to-Rivendell-instead-of-Boromir AU that never got very far.

Well, my first serious attempt at fanfic, that is—I wrote original stuff for years before that, and I guess technically I tried to write Trixie Belden fanfic when I was about 10 ... and the original stuff spun off from a piece that was basically a Secret of Mana fanfic I wrote even before the Trixie Belden stuff. But in terms of something written within a fandom community, the Faramir fic.

19- What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

Hmm. I'm not sure, actually. I mostly just write stuff if I feel like it. Oh—it's cheating, but I've barely written Korra/Kuvira even though I adore the ship. I'd like to write a proper Korvira fic someday.

20- What's your favorite fic you've written?

This changes pretty often, though there are always a few that come up when I'm asked. At this moment in time, probably The Jedi and the Sith Lord, the third (sort of) of my f!Luke Skywalker fics, and the one where the story finally swerves off the canon tracks and becomes its own thing. Maybe (probably?) not my best work, but the Lucyverse is my baby and I think TJATSL is my best work in it.

EXPERIENCE / HOW LONG ( MONTHS / YEARS? ) : god i'm pretty sure since 2012 i've been RPing - from text RP via cell phones, to DeviantArt, to Forums, to Tumblr/Discord; I've been in the game for a minute.

BEST EXPERIENCE : ohhhhh man, there's so many. and although some feelings have swayed throughout the years, I definitely think the connections I've made through the RP scene are the best part of it. I've genuinely made long time friends through this hobby - people who i talk to on the daily about their lives, people who i've gone to visit personally and hang out with. at the end of the day, the connections made are the biggest and best thing i can get from a hobby. to build a community with great people around me.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : to list a few specific ones (none are directly targeted, but I felt are relevant to me)

Deal Breaker: any weird hatred/blatant misogyny for fem/feminine ocs in the RPC. it's 2024 and i STILL be seeing people hate women or fem ocs so openly? why does this keep happening??? actually, scratch that - just general OC scrutiny drives me wild. most of y'all do know your favorite canon character is a OC who had higher production value, right? so why think most canons are better than ocs when we're all on the same playing field, ya know??

Pet Peeve: style over substance - i appreciate most aesthetics *motions to own blog* but i also have eyes that i need to read or see. I feel like i miss out on a lot of good blogs because i can't read their formatting on their blog or carrd and it's inaccessible :(

Small Pet Peeve: "I just go with the flow" - when I hear this, I usually see most plotting convos go dead in a matter of messages. lbr everybody, we all have dynamics or specific characters that catch our eyes or that we like. I'm so open about shipping and dynamics like, let's throw out something specific and see where that goes. THEN we can "go with the flow" but we can't flow without direction.

MUSE PREFERENCES FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT : Yes.

PLOTS OR MEMES : plotting for me personally - only because I work a full time job outside of tumblr, and i typically won't have time to always write up a reply to a meme or a thread. I adore plotting and world building with my partners especially via discord, so I'd highly prefer that so then it's easier (and motivates me!) to reply to our threads in the process.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : I unfortunately can't do short replies for the life of me - like some people can do one liners so well, but I need to set the scene & actions. So, usually medium to longer replies.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : i try to reply to threads over the weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sundays) cause that's usually the times I have availability. On weekdays, I'd do memes or headcanons to keep activity up. My muse can be fickle, and although i love to write, I also love to write quality content for my partners so it will take me time.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : each of my muses have a little aspect of me in them (which is unavoidable if i have the passion to write them) but none of them are me 100%. GOD, I hope none them are like me or I'm like them. some of these people are a fuckin mess.

Make me believe (or straight up admit) that they're only interacting with me because they (the mun) find my muse/the trope-plot sexually appealing. I'm a roleplay blog, not an onlyfans account.

Having someone who I followed and roleplayed with steal a plot and starter of mine almost word for word to use for their own ship and act like nothing happened.

♦ What was a mildly annoying thing that has happened to you rp wise?

When I was active in discord roleplay servers (back in the days of Overwatch), two of those servers fell apart because of infighting between two people that turned into infighting between like 10 people because the first two people tried to force everyone else to pick sides. I left.

Only that one time someone stole our plot, at least that I know of...

♚ How many people don't like you?

In general? probably a healthy amount. In the RPC? I have no idea.

⚜ How many people do you not like?

Never thought to count them, I also can't think of any off the top of my head. I don't really bother disliking people, just disagree and move on or work to coexist with minimal to no interaction.

Sunday anon hasn't come back in a while so, I'll say yes 😂 thank god

☄ Have you ever been in the middle of drama?

Overwatch fandom aside, apparently my muses (Sabé and Luke specifically) are sluts and I only reblog smut.

I want to say yes. I consider myself someone who can tell a friend 'hey, you should take the L on this one' when a situation is getting out of hand and getting nowhere.

☼ How long do you stay mad?

Not that long. I'm a momentary anger person, sooner than later I just start finding the situation ridiculous and amusing.

☀ What's your rp pet peeve?

Formatting where the reply is just a huge block of text, especially when it's small text. I don't even have any eyesight issues (no need for glasses, nothing) and that shit is impossible to read.

If they were real I would marry them: even aside from all my posts and my memes for Osamu, I genuinely feel like he’d just be an amazing husband. He understands insecurities about feeling inadequate or not enough *cough* atsumu u bITCH, he works hard, literally opened a restaurant, and I just… like he’d be such a good husband, give him tO ME-

They’re like a blorbo to me: assuming I know what blorbo means (which I probably don’t LMAO), there’s just constantly a song or scenario where he’s the star, and it does bring me plenty of motivation and excitement to introduce him to said scenarios and make it reality

They’re deeper than they seem: going back to the first part, I feel like the insecurity piece is just. So real. Yes, he was liked among his peers, people said he was better than Atsumu at VB, but nothing hurts worse than being told you’re not good at something, than by your own twin, who’s been by you since day one. All that comparison, yet still not approved by his brother. And I feel like that really stuck with him, and now that his brother is this successful player? Come on. That must sting

I like them enough to project my own issues onto them: lmao pls see above HA- also if you’ve read any of my osamu angst, or even some of my fluff? Those very much stem from a place of MY insecurities, or from a place where Osamu’s love and playfulness is something I so desire to have, but fear I may never get the chance to.

I want to carry them in a handbag like a tiny dog: uhm he’s the literal cutest and I’d take him everywhere. If he were real and he were my man, I’m flaunting you EVERYWHERE dawg

I’m mentally ill about them: again, assuming this means what I think it means, I’m an absolute wreck over him. He plagues my dreams and heroes my nightmares. I can conjure any scenario and stick him in it, hence why he’s my most frequented character. If there’s an idea I like and I can’t think of anyone else, I known darn well Osamu is a perfect fit, and more often than not, I HAVE to find someone else bc otherwise, everything I write would be for samu, I’m just. Like stop plaguing me sir, I’m already in love with a fictional character what more can I give-

They work better as a dynamic: even in the manga and the anime, him and atsumu were together. They were the OTHER freak duo, that twin telepathy is real yo. I also feel like he just doesn’t like to do things alone; he loves having support, be it from his teammates, his mom, tsumu, anyone who’s on his sideline (let’s not forget that scene where him and Atsumu practically beg for kita to keep his approval for them oh my GOD I CANNOT SOMEONE BURN ME ALIVE-)

rp experience / how long. UH... If my math is correct, I've been writing for about... 12 years give or take. On many different platforms, Tumblr wise, about 6 years give or take.

best experience. Easy! Hands down all the stuff I've been able to write on my P.eter P.arker, T.enth D.octor and this blog. Like, I got such a soft spot for Pete that it's not even funny and the whole M.arvel RPC was the first big-time thing I wrote in, so it's been pretty fun! I'm still in the fandom, just not as active as I'd like lmao!

rp pet peeves / dealbreakers. Tbh, I don’t really have too many pet peeves. The ones I have are mostly just small-time stuff, like over-formatting to the point where I can't read shit, or leaning SUPER HEAVY into purple prose to the point where I can’t understand what’s going on, it happened to me once and I literally had to crack open a dictionary so... Dealbreakers-wise, it’s gotta be rule violations and anyone who’s generally a terrible person!

fluff, angst, or smut. YES, YES, YES! — Lmao, joking aside, I do very much enjoy writing all three of these. Though I don't often write smut on Tumblr lol. I just like the opportunities to really dive into the inner machinations of, in this case, Gohan's mind and, y'know, dig around the parts that either aren't explored for whatever reason (not too much time on the spotlight for it, the author wasn't feeling it, etc...)

plots or memes. UH... Trick question, I'm a fan of both! Though, truth be told, I tend to lean a bit more towards plotting since it helps me and my partner get an idea of what kind of relationship our muses might have, as well as a general direction on where to take things. But I LOVE memes, especially cause I can just jump around the timeline and write p much whatever the muse is feeling... I'm just slow at answering things lol.

long or short replies. Define long. Cause I've tried to do like, one-sentence things and I end up doing a short paragraph lmao. So I guess the answer is long.

best time to write. Trick question! I don't really have the best time to write, since I'm in college, I write when I got the time. It ranges from anywhere between "as soon as I get home." to "Oh boy! 1am, time to write!"

are you like your muse. uh... Maybe?! Like, he's 10 times more determined than me, not to mention smarter lmao but, I think we do share the whole "low image of ourselves" bit because he's constantly second-guessing himself about his ability to be the hero and so on. I'm regularly doing the same with my writing and so on. We do like learning things, so that's another stuff we got in common!

○ rp pet peeves / deal breakers: no real dealbreakers (outside of the obvious racism, transphobia, homophobia etc), but some pet peeves. Constantly posting starter calls and opens but never actually responding to the people who reply is the biggest one. Icons that are useless because you can't see any detail on them. Demanding people change their formatting style to match yours just for the Aesthetic (obviously not where it's an accessibility issue). But nothing that's really a big deal.

○ fluff, angst, or smut: Yes. I love me some good Angst, fluff is always fun. I'm always open to shipping but I'm more selective about who I'll write smut with.

○ plots or memes: I enjoy both but memes are usually the fastest way to get a response from me. Plotting usually just results in a lot of unhinged yelling, which is fun, but rarely turns into actual writing.

○ best time to write: Evening or night time, but it depends on my shifts for the week. Sometimes I'll knock a few things out early morning.

○ are you like your muse(s): No. Sometimes I wish I was more like her, sometimes I'm glad that I'm not. It would be a lie to say that there's nothing about myself that's made its way into Char's character, but we're very different people.

howdy pardners 🤠🤠 in order to procrastinate more writing here’s my list of all the fics i posted this year (sorted predominantly by ship and mostly in order of posting) - ft a lot of dabihawks and a surprising amount of todobaku lmao. oh and my personal faves are **starred

dabihawks (x)

a lesson in romantics (x) - 66k across 4 fics - the collection of standalone memory loss fics! canon divergent and centered around either dabi or hawks losing their memories thanks to the wonderful commission :) some solid angst and getting back together content, always happy endings!!

haven’t had enough (x) - 5.7k - silly little quirkless au where dabi goes to claire’s to get his ears pierced. multiple times. bc hawks is hot

last of the real ones (x) - 2.6k - less silly, just as little, set in canon-divergence bc i couldn’t get the idea out of my head of dabi getting red wings tattooed on him before ever meeting hawks

**dancing after death (x) - 25k - one of my faves from this year, a canon divergent sort of getting together story involving nightmares, some bad burns, and a bit of dancing

if you fall (hold my hand) (x) - 7.4k - canon divergence (bc apparently i’m a slut for that) and some hurt/comfort, ft a bit of makeout-level spice

no shame (x) - 16k - ah, and here we really dive into the ‘crack treated too seriously’ category, where the league sells feet/hand/misc kink pics to fund their activities and dabi has some photography skills and a wing kink (or maybe just a hawks kink)

broken parts (x) - 23.9k - i stole my own idea for a vigilante!hawks from my tiktok, then twisted it into a severely angsty (with a happy ending) hurt/comfort fic intended to break my own heart and piece it back together. it worked

freeing icarus (x) - 1.8k - the first fic without a happy ending i think i ever wrote, because the canon dabihawks fight actually broke me. some dabi introspection

**to the stars that burn (x) - 3.9k - the second fic without a happy ending, based more around childhood friends dabihawks working at the commission together. bittersweet but without much sweet

**king of disaster (x) - 119k+ - i poured my entire soul into this series, a fantasy au where dabi accidentally binds himself to hawks (an absolute stranger) and shenanigans ensue - this has also evolved to include todobaku, shinkami, and kirideku

enemy of my enemy (x) - 2.6k - a quirkswap space pirate au that truly tested my ability to write action scenes, part of the random prompt collection i did during october 2020

without a fight (x) - 2.2k - a rival band au ft singer!hawks and a grumpy dabi, another of the random october prompts

todobaku (x)

like i’m bakugou (x) - 2.1k - it was supposed to be a MEME based on a TIKTOK but i made it kinda serious....and here we are. todobaku on a froyo date
