Daggerheart Character Build thoughts!

I am actually out at work and haven't checked the version that's since come out, but I did participate in the character build beta, and the NDA is officially lifted, so here's my thoughts from that! It's definitely limited since I just made a L1 character and didn't go through gameplay, though I surmise about some aspects of gameplay.

Overall, it clearly seems to be made by people who love a lot of things about D&D 5e but wanted both more flexibility and more simplicity, which is difficult. I think they succeed.

To that end, it takes away some of the crunchier aspects (precise positioning, exact amounts of gold) and I think for some people that will be a problem, and that's valid, but ultimately this game wants to both allow for interesting mechanics in and out of combat while also not being terribly math/map/resource management heavy. It is a hard line to walk; most systems either go hard crunch or go entirely gooey.

The dice mechanic (2d12, Hope and Fear system) is fantastic; look it up but I think it handles mixed successes more gracefully and interestingly than a lot of games.

The playtest was not super clear on armor and evasion choices (or indeed what evasion means; it seems to be sort of initiative but sort of dex save, or maybe more like the Pathfinder/old school D&D varying ACs by scenario?). It was much, MUCH clearer than D&D on weapon choices (part of why I play casters? Weapon rules in D&D are annoying and poorly explained and many people rightfully ignore them) so I'm hoping this becomes clear when there's a full guide rather than just the character creation info.

The character creation questions by class were fantastic and in general, and this is a theme, this feels like it guides people towards collaboration. FWIW I feel like D&D has that information, but the way it's presented is very much as flavor text rather than a thing you should be doing. Daggerheart makes this a much more core part of creation. The Experience mechanic is particularly clear: you better be working with your GM and really thinking about background, rather than slapping it on as a mechanic.

The other side of character creation questions is that it really encourages engagement with the class, which is something I've talked about. I think either subversion for the sake of subversion, or picking a class for the mechanics and aesthetic but not the fundamental concept, will be much harder to justify in Daggerheart, and I think that's a good thing because when people do that, their characters tend to be weaker.

The downtime is designed for you to write hurt/comfort fanfic about and this is a compliment. There are a number of mechanics that reward RP, particularly one of the healing mechanics under the Splendor track. I feel like a weakness of D&D is that when you try to reward RP it's really nebulous because there's not actually a ton of space to put that - you can give inspiration, but, for example, the empathy domain Matt homebrewed actually feels kind of off because it's based on such fuzzy concepts amid mechanics that are usually more rigid. Daggerheart comes off as much cleaner yet still RP-focused, and I'm excited to see it in action.

A judgement of Candela and I suppose Daggerheart might be that it's designed for actual play. I've mentioned before that I know people who are super into the crunch and combat and numbers of TTRPGs and are less story-oriented, and again, that's valid, but actual play is just storytelling using a ttrpg and so yes, a game that encourages RP while also having mechanics to support that and influence it is an extremely good goal. I am not an actual player, but I do like D&D games with a good plot and not just Go Kill Monsters, and I want to play this. (I also have some real salty thoughts about how if you modify an existing game for AP purposes that's staggering genius apparently, but if you make your own game how dare you but that's another post).

And now, the classes/subclasses. I am going to sort of use D&D language to describe them because that's a point of reference most people reading this will understand, but they are not one-to-one. A couple notes: everyone can use weapons and armor. HP is not totally clear to me but it seems to be threshold based - everyone has the same HP to start but people have different thresholds and armor, so the tank classes have the same amount of HP but are much harder to actually do damage to.

All classes are built on a combination of a subclass and two domains. There are 9 classes and 9 domains. This technically means that if you wanted to fuck around and homebrew you could make up to 36 classes (27 additional) by just grabbing two domains that weren't otherwise combined, which is fun to consider for the potential. Anyway I cover the classes and briefly describe domains within them. You can take any domain card within your domain, regardless of subclass.

There are six stats. Presence, Instinct, Knowledge, and Strength map roughly to Charisma, Wisdom, Intelligence, and Strength. Dex is split into Agility and Finesse; Agility covers gross motor skills (jumping, most ranged weapons, "maneuvering") and Finesse finer ones (lockpicking and tinkering, though also it does cover hiding). The really big wins are first, no CON score, so you don't need to sink stat points into something that grants no skills but keeps you alive. The second one is that the "hybrid" classes spellcast from their physical stat. This is fucking fantastic. The thing about ranger or paladin or the spellcasting subclasses of rogue and fighter in D&D is that if you don't roll pretty well you're locked into the core stats and CON and nothing else. (This also doesn't have rolling for stats: you assign +2 to one stat, presumably your main, and then distribute two +1s, two 0s, and one -1.)

Your HP, Evasion, and Thresholds are set by class, and there's a core ability; the rest is all from the cards you take for subclass and domain.

Leveling up is very much based on taking more domain cards (abilities) but has a certain degree of flexibility. It's by chunks: in leveling up anywhere levels 2-4, you can, for example, increase your proficiency by +1 once, so if you wanted to do that at level 2 but your fellow player wanted to wait until level 4 and take something else at level 2 instead, they could. It allows for more min-maxing, but also everyone has the same level up rules and differs only in the abilities on the cards, which is very cool.

Bard: Grace (enchantment spells) and Codex (learned spellcaster stuff; the spells available are definitely arcane in vibes) based, Presence is your main stat. The two subclasses map roughly to lore-style stuff and eloquence. Core class ability is sort of like inspiration but not entirely. It's a bard; I like bards a lot, and this is very similar vibes-wise to your D&D bards. If you like D&D bards you will like this.

Druid: Sage (nature spells) and Arcana (raw magical power spellcaster stuff), Instinct is your spellcasting/main stat. The two subclasses are elemental but frankly cooler than circle of the moon, and a more healing/tranquility of nature focused one. I really think Marisha probably gave feedback on this one, because the elemental version is really strong. You do get beastform; it is quite similar to a D&D druid under a different system, as the bard, but the beastform options are, frankly, better and easier to understand.

Guardian: Valor (melee tank/damager) and Blade (damage). Strength based for the most part (Valor mechanics assume strength) though you could go for like, +2 Agility +1 Strength to start. This is barbarian but like. 20 times better. It is, fundamentally, a tank class, and it is very good at it, with one even more tank-focused subclass and one that is more about retaliatory damage. You do have a damage-halving ability once per day, but really guardian's questions are incredible. I think Travis and Ashley likely gave feedback. Also rage doesn't render you incapable of concentration as that doesn't seem to be a thing, so multiclassing seems way more possible (you are, I think, only allowed to do one multiclass, and not until you reach level 5 minimum, which I am in favor of). Yes, you can be a Bardian.

Ranger: This is what I built! It is based on Sage and Bone (movement around the field/dodging stuff) and it is Agility-based, including for spellcasting, which is a MASSIVE help (as is, again, the fact that CON isn't a thing.) The subclasses are basically being really good at navigation, or animal companion. Most importantly to me you can be a ranger with a longsword and you are not penalized; Bone works with either ranged weapons or melee.

Rogue: Midnight (stealth/disguise/assassination spells and skills) and Grace-based. Yes, rogue is by default a spellcaster, which does help a LOT with the vibes for me. One subclass is basically about having lots of connections (as a spy or criminal might) and the other is about magical slinking about. Hiding/sneak attack are also streamlined. I will admit I'm still more interested in…almost everything else, but I think it evened out a lot of rogue weaknesses.

Seraph: Splendor (healing/divine magic) and Valor. This is your Paladin equivalent. It is strength-based for casting, again making hybrid classes way less stressful. Questions for this area also incredible; you do have something not unlike a lay on hands pool as well. Your subclasses are being able to fly and do extra damage; or being able to make your melee weapon do ranged attacks and also some extra healing stuff, the latter of which is my favorite. Yasha vibes from this, honestly. Single downside is this is the only class where they recommend you dump Knowledge. I will not, and I never will. Now that I don't have to make sure CON is high? I am for REAL never giving myself less than a +1 Knowledge in this game.

Sorcerer: Arcana (raw nature of magic/elemental vibes) and Midnight based. Yes, sorcerers and rogues now share a vibe, for your convenient….less enthused feelings. Instinct-based, which intrigues me, and the core features are in fact really good. The two subclasses are either one that focuses on metamagic abilities, or one that is elemental based. I would play this for a long-running game, though it's not my favorite, and I can't say that for D&D sorcerer (except divine soul).

Warrior: Blade and Bone, and the recommended build is Agility but you could do a strength build. Fighter! One subclass is about doing damage and one is about the hope/fear mechanics core to the game that I have NOT talked much about. I will admit, the hybrid martials and Guardian are more interesting to me but you do have good battle knowledge.

Wizard: Codex and Splendor. Wizards can heal in this system; farewell, I will be doing nothing else (jk). Knowledge-based, and you can either go hardcore expertise in knowledge, or be a battle wizard.

Other scattered thoughts: healing is not as big a deal here; there is no pure cleric class! There is also no monk, warlock, or artificer. There is not a way to do monk as a weaponless class really though you might be able to flavor the glowing rings as a monk weapon and play a warrior. Wizard, meanwhile, with the right experiences and high finesse, would allow for some artificer flavor. Cleric and Warlock are the two tough ones and I will admit those are tricky; I feel like you'd have to multiclass (which you cannot do until level 5) between perhaps seraph and a caster class and you're still going to come off very paladin.

Rarely ever does aftercare after doing the deed, he says that he doesn't see the reason why but in reality it's because he's not 100% sure on how to do it. He does care for you, although he doesn't really say it, but this whole thing is confusing for him. When he does do it, he doesn't like the appraisal.

B - Body Part

Your ass. He'll praise your ass all day because he likes it, whether its small or big. He's a booty type of man.

C - Cum

Hyuga doesn't really care where it goes. I won't say this lazy fucker (he is hot tho) won't wear a condom, because he most likely will. Just like Jessie, he doesn't think he'll make a great father because of how he was raised and how he is as a person.

D - Dirty Secret

This may seem a little creepy but he likes watching you shower, perhaps its how you look when the water covers your body or because he just wants to grab a fist full of your damp hair to fuck your throat. Who knows.

E - Experience

Contrary to belief, he is not that experienced. I mean he is Hyuga so you'd expect him to be at least somewhat experienced but he isn't. He is not a virgin, just a lazy fucker.

F - Favorite Position

Cowgirl and reverse cowgirl, this plays into him liking your ass and being a lazy fucker. He doesn't put too much effort into it, and when he does, it's a bit surprising. The most work you'll get out of him is rubbing your clit or giving you head.

G - Goofy

Surprisingly quiet and somewhat serious. When he isn't serious, he's cracking a joke or two about the other Daruma Ikka members. Or the Daruma Babes. They aren't rude jokes, just funny stories that happened that day.

H - Hair

FREE BIRD! He is NOT the clean shaven type of person. It's BUSH CENTRAL down there. As for you, he doesn't care. Be a free bird or don't.

I - Intimacy

He isn't 100% romantic during it. But when he can be, you better expect him to not be lazy. He'll have you flipped and fried like a pancake. You'll also be probably fucked out of your mind.

J - Jack Off

Why jack off when you have your significant other? That is all I'm going to say here.

K - Kinks

Choking, marking and hair pulling. He loves the feeling of wrapping his hand around your throat as it makes him feel more in control. Marking is his better way of showing you that he loves you and cares for you, granted you'll probably have a shit ton of scratches and bite marks.. Hair pulling.. doesn't even need to be explained. Absolutely no to knife play, he is not the most trustworthy when it comes to blades. He will also say no to bodily fluids play (piss, shit type of fluids) but he will spit on you, which is strange.

O - Oral

More of the receiving type and less of the giving type. He'll kiss your thighs and what not but it'll be rare as fuck when he decides to give you head. (I feel like he would and I am feral for this man.)

P - Pace

When he isn't lazy as shit, it's fast and rough. He likes seeing you as a mess, cock drunk for him, when he isn't tired or way too high because it makes him really happy. Compared to when he is, it's based purely on your pace.

Q - Quickies

Let's be so fuckin' for real... high as a kite he can go for a million years. Not so high? 10 - 20 minutes max.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck no. He won't use toys on you but he'll allow you to have them to pleasure yourself for when he isn't around. Even though he doesn't care much for masturbating, himself, he does want to make sure that you have the bliss you want.

U - Unfair

Unfair in the streets, unfair in the sheets! This man will not give you the 100% satisfaction of knowing whether or not you are making him happy in bed or not. He's an asshole. If you try to do the same, best believe he's hitting all the good spots for reactions.

Majority of his time is spent getting high, fighting, and hanging out in his area. When it isn't, he will be home, sleeping or fucking you. That's just to say that he does try to make time for you, he's just fucking shitty at it.

Hey, do you have any advice/tips for writing?

I have this Toh fanfic idea that I've been meaning to write for a while... but every time I try to write it, I end up just staring at the screen instead-

Sure bud! I'm by no means an expert! Just an enthusiast who loves storytelling! :) But I'm happy to help any fellow creative with whatever knowledge I can share!

So, from this ask I am gathering that you are feeling overwhelmed by your own story, yeah?

Well... Here's some things I do to get out of feeling overwhelmed and just kinda:

First thing first - there is no such thing as a block. You are just not working in the area of creativity you need right now. Areas can be: Writing, researching, watching an analysis of a story you like, consume a work that is in the same genre you are trying to write (cartoon, movie, book, etc).

But you're asking about writing itself. So here we go:

The show time trick. Get a ritual of some sort. Wear something every time you write, like a hat or a scarf, a bathrobe. OR just get tea/coffee/whatever. This will Pavlov your brain into triggering a OH IT'S TIME TO BE CREATIVE mode! .

Warm up. Write something else. A poem, a prompt (there's a ton on pinterest to pick from). This will get you into the groove of things. Remember that it's not supposed to be serious, it's just something to get you to write. One exercise I know of is called "random stream", which is where you just write down the first word that pops into your head in a non-stop stream. It doesn't even have to be sensible, just words. Like this: I think I know what this cookie monster can and will not do hi mom grandma basketball fishing rodding down a stream dodging every single flying leaf that a tree throws at me oh no a branch aa help here comes the cavalry and the ships are sailing in to the harbour and this is a good day actually. This will help you get your "vocals" and flows going. And if you in the midst of it feel like "oh! wait! :D" and like your writing-muse just woke up, get off the exercise and start working! :) .

Analyse your work. First - read it all aloud to yourself. You will hear where it sounds off. And then, what you need to do to be able to continue, is to fix that bit first. Second - When you are reading your own text, and you feel like you are skimming past or through a passage of text, that's most likely an indication that something needs work. Cut away or rephrase it better. Things doesn't have to be long to be good, it just needs to do what it needs to do. If it doesn't serve the story or scene, remove it. Now, that's for if you HAVE work to go through. If you haven't written anything yet, write down somewhere what you WANT to write. Analyse your key points. That's much easier than doing the big magus opus right away. T H I S I S O L D A S H E L L N O W : [L I N K] But I made this back in 2019 for anyone who felt stuck writing their (original) story, and needed an interview kind of ballplank to get your thoughts down. I know you're doing a fanfic but maybe it can help? Not all of these questions will be helpful to you but maybe some will. .

Write the fun thing first. You know what it is you REALLY want to write here, right? There's a scene in your head you want to work towards. Yeah? Well... It's a fanfiction. You don't really, not always anyway, need context. You can just get right into it and the context will probably present itself as you write and people read. People aren't dumb, they'll get it lol! If I start a fanfic with this: Hunter waited in the forest not far from Hexside as they had planned. Willow tapped him on the shoulder and he spun around, ready to fight, but lowered his guard when he saw her - and smiled. "Hi." You kinda already figured out, by text alone, that they must have previously decided to meet there and are on friendly terms. Blanks are easily filled in. So feel free to just, like, go for it!

Okay okay I was not at all expecting the new lesson to drop so soon. I was in the middle of writing that nsfw Barbatos prompt when I got the alert yesterday and was like what?!

They're really going hard with the lore and stuff, huh?? I don't have time to write a ton about it, but there's so much to process I have to write a short thing, so here I am.

Spoilers below!

Okay, Barbatos is Nightbringer. Right? I mean it's not like we haven't had a TON of proof, but I did think it would be interesting if it all turned out to be a misdirection. But at this point... I'm like... it's not, though, right?

I am feeling a tiny bit apprehensive about it. Because listen, it could turn out to be super cool but they could also totally screw it up.

I was just getting such villain vibes from Nightbringer and that just doesn't jibe with my understanding of Barbatos's character. So either Nightbringer is less villain-y than he seems, Nightbringer is Barb from another timeline/a different version of him, or my understanding of his character is off. Or all of the above, even!

Still we got some new stuff about him - the Celestial Realm calling him the father of all demons, huh? That's certainly interesting. And we know Barb has been around since before the Devildom really existed... also there's the whole "goes by many names" situation. I just don't see how they could have it be anybody else. Unless it's an entirely new character that we haven't met yet and that Barbatos is somehow tied to...

But anyway...

I LOVED the new lore about the Little Ds!!! I was so happy that they get to have a more important role without it changing them as being little castle cleaning helpers. See, that was well done, imo. They didn't change anything, they just gave us more info. Little Ds born from a tree, sorta fairies but call themselves demons, and we still don't really get how it works? Perfect. Also note how Barbatos is the one who knows all this lore...

Also, without spoilers, I loved the hard lesson lol.

Anyway, Little Ds are great, Little D No 2 is especially my fave, and I am so interested to see how this part of the story goes.

I was gonna stop there, but really quick I HAVE to talk about Mammon and Asmo oh my god...

Their fight in the library!!!

I mean of course it's bad when the boys fight and obviously Mammon is not in his right mind, but the way Asmo just goes for it, like he is ready to throw down.

And all the other brothers are staying surprisingly calm and trying to stop them!!

I just really love how Asmo seems like the kind of character who wouldn't jump in to fight immediately, but in reality he absolutely is. It reminded me of the way he went after those rumor spreading demons in the Princess event (which is funny since he was doing it to protect Mammon in that event).

And then Lucifer's just like ugh what now lol. I can't deny that using a little bit of his magic to knock Mammon out entirely was pretty cool.

Anyway, I'm worried about Mammon, but I'm sure this is all going to be resolved somehow. I found it very interesting how when we go into his mind with Little D No 2 at the very end, we're in the Celestial Realm. Wonder what that's about? Hmm.

I got these books as a gift (the first two -especial editions-) and I was instantly hooked. I have to say, I’m not much of a fan of Science fiction, let alone sci-fi romance. 

But this Paleolithic twist (which is MY THING) lured me all the way in. Ruby Dixon’s books are so entertaining and a delight to read. 

Stayed tune because I am uploading Rahoosh soon (I have TONS of drawings of Liz and Rahoosh, but I’ve been holding out on you guys). I’ve been posting constantly on my Instagram stories (several previews of the blue guys). I’ve yet to upload all the images I’ve done.

I do want to draw all of the guysssss (and the girls too! first time ever because most sci-fi MCs are so annoying. Dixon knows how to write girls).

Last song: I'm going to cheat and go for a whole album. I've been really enjoying Where's My Utopia? by Yard Act recently: deceptively clever stream-of-consciousness lyrics that walk the line between wry irony and passionate sincerity, all set to post-punk beats that you can dance to. (Shout-out to HELLMODE by Jeff Rosenstock and Sorry for the Late Reply by Sløtface too – both brilliant albums as well)

And while I'm breaking the rules, I might as well mention my wrestling playlist that I've been working on! It's a really eclectic mix of songs that remind me of various different things in wrestling – feuds, characters, general vibes etc. It's not finished yet (I'd like to organise it thematically and write some annotations to explain my thinking behind the choices), but maybe you'll find something on there you like!

Favourite colour: it's a tie between blue and purple (especially lilac). Also currently enjoying the yellow-green of the new leaves that are appearing at this time of year!

Currently watching: wrestling, surprise surprise. I'm just about keeping up with AEW and completely failing to keep up with NJPW. Other than that, I've not really been in a big TV/film mood recently. Although I did see Dune Part 2 the other week, which I thought was fantastic. My partner and I have also become slightly addicted to watching Gab Smolders play Nancy Drew games on YouTube.

Spicy/savoury/sweet/(sour)/(salty)/[umami]: since @sycamoretrees set a precedent of adding options, I'm going to go with another write-in candidate: my beloved umami. I am a Marmite fiend and will eat just about anything if it has soy sauce/miso/strong cheese etc in it. I enjoy pretty much all of the above tastes though, especially when combined in interesting ways. If I had to choose between the original options, I probably lean towards savoury; I have extremely strong opinions on crisps.

Relationship status: I've been with my partner for almost 11 years now :) (While I'm here, go check out her fantastic art and tabletop RPG writing at @mortphilippa! Obviously I'm biased, but she's super talented!)

Wrestling (of course): as well as my usual AEW & NJPW, I've watched some CMLL recently, which has been fun. I also recently reached new levels of nerd by emulating King of Colosseum 2, a Japanese wrestling game from 2004, on PC. It's good! Holds up well!

Tabletop role-playing games – an ever-present obsession for me. I've just wrapped up a 4+ year D&D campaign that I was GMing, which is an odd feeling, but I'm so proud of the story we told together. I'm also currently GMing/writing stuff for Cy_Borg, Liminal Horror and Brindlewood Bay, among others! There are tons more I want to run though – too many games, not enough time! (I am always up for conversations about TTRPGs by the way – I could talk forever about them! Hit me up if you wanna chat!)

Puzzle games: more of a recent obsession. I continue to do the Wordle every day, but I've recently been enjoying Connections (sorting words into categories), Heardle Decades (identifying songs from the intros), and Squeezy (a weird game about fitting letters into other words). I'm also going through a bit of a point-and-click adventure phase. Really enjoying Unavowed by Dave Gilbert currently. I'm not usually an urban fantasy fan, so it's a testament to how good the writing is that I'm loving it as much as I am.

Spring flowers: spring has well and truly sprung here in the UK, and I am loving all of the flowers that are popping up everywhere! There's nothing that brings me joy quite like going for a walk and doing some plant-spotting (I'm trying to get better at identifying plants this year! I'm mostly reliant on Google Lens and a bit of inherited knowledge from my Grandma currently)

so my newest fic is.... a post apocalypse mer au!

ehehe!!! :3c i mentioned it in some of the author notes of claw at the stars and im soooo excited to actually finish chapter 1 of it!!! its only like. 30% done so far bc im playing video games non-stop on my writing break but im chugging along xD

the basic summary is that after a meteor strikes the earth (again), humanity has had to rapidly evolve to survive the harsh conditions of rising sea levels and much harsher temperatures. (id elaborate more on some science and biology stuff ive been brainstorming too but that's SPOILERS </3) more under the cut!

long story short, theres evolved people and creatures evolved from people on land and merfolk evolved from people in the sea! plus theres new languages thanks to evolving and changing vocal chords! (reallyyyy i just wanna get wacky with humanoid designs xD can you tell i like doing that yet???)

as for the fic, here's a quick summary of the very basic plot :3

a few decades after this meteor hits, the daycare attendant wakes up from an emergency shutdown in the ruins of the pizzaplex. with no telling of how many years its been, they have to pick up the pieces of where they left off and navigate this new world. with the help of y/n (dats YOU!!!), a mer who ended up on land, they slowly get their bearings and try to settle in to their new life, scrounging for parts to repair themselves in the overgrown remains of cities.

y/n has never even thought about going on land, but of course, the one time they do they have to drag around a robot that doesn't even understand what they're saying. sun and moon, meanwhile, latch onto you like a lost puppy as they try their best to learn the new language and figure out what you keep signaling to them.

(why were you on land? can't say! since, well, it would be spoilers...)

theres gonna be tons and tons of fluff and mystery and adventure and romance and LOREEEEE! all the tropes im obsessed with! and of course vanessa is here too because i love herrrr :3

anyways, i cant share toooo much besides the basic summary since i love being vague and mysterious hehehe but! im nearly done with the first chapter :3 it will likely be out sometime in january, IF not january 1st! im super motivated :3c

First I tried to draw this morning but failed so thanks for the ask i got inspired to draw a lil something!

(And then they got lost. They do have weird shenanigans with eldritch stuff. So they will be fine. Actually their friendship is quite funny i love it)

3. What first drew you to this character?

Hm well for Caryll they seems like quite a very important character we know nothing about! In lore I mean. Runes are so op I'm glad they exist 🙏 everyone used them and it seems quite important! Caryll didn't make/translate all the runes but the first one to do so while a students at Byrgenwerth! It's so impressive so it made me wonder who they were... and we don't know what happened to them too ;-;

As for Dores I guess I got interest thanks to the fans actually giving a damn and drawing Dores ! Also ""her"" link with Willem, gatekeeper and probably Gehrman by extension made me think and wonder about their missions in the pthumerians labyrinth. Plus idk Dores seems to have quite a wild personality! that's very cool. And the set descriptions and the 2 hunters is very interesting

13. If you could draw effortlessly and as much as you wanted, what scene (s) would you draw for this character?

Caryll : Hm... lots go things lol. Caryll do have a huge role in my Bloodborne stories and is very present so I have lots of ideas XD but would be difficult to draw... hm maybe caryll with tons of hunters around them and explaining smt. Or Caryll staring at water (sea/lake), or caryll fate... or idk smt with lot of runes to draw something esoteric when they ear great ones! Caryll & friends too. But I would also like to illustrated Caryll getting very scared and encountering a sick man who's at the early stage of beasthood. At Byrgenwerth. During prom night. Yeah can't wait to write that XD

Dores : hmm either Dores' childhood (with almost everyone treating her as a weirdo creepy kid 💀 and featuring Gehrman) or well badass fighting against pthumerians. That also make me think I need to draw Dores being task to watch the kids (Rom & Laurence when they were younger) by Willem while he's out and she panicked and ask if they wanna see organs in jars or smt. Or maybe draw her withe the twins. Yeah I haven't decided yet if the Madaras twins are her kids or long lost brothers I am hesitating because there's the 2 guys with the graveguard set too. OR ALSO (sorry last one) Dores doing artisanal liquor and almost accidentally killing people. (I mean Laurence is the only one who almost died but he was fine after few days. Her other attempts where better)

20. Do you feel affectionate towards this character?

Caryll is my lil guy (gender neutral) 🥺 I love them so so much they remind me of one of my friend too. I really like Caryll I am so mean for all the tragic scenarios I imagined toward the end of their life 😔 but I swear the 3 decades before that are very wholesome if we forgot some lil details. But yeah must protect and deserve the world. So yeah.

Hm idk if it's "affection" but yeah I do like my versions of Dores yeah! I really like to develop her backstory and personality and I can empathise with lot of things she went through that weren't easy.

49. What’s your favorite personality trait in this character?

Well it's purely headcanons but I like their soft sides? I think.

So Caryll kindness and everything would be ok attitude.

As for Dores her more harsh and scary traits are very cool but with her very close friends she can show a way more carrying side <3 she still a bit of a brute XD but I like this too. Everyone is always surprised of it at first.

That TCU post…that is truly one of, if not the greatest thing I’ve ever seen come out of this fandom. I tried my own hand a while back at writing “the dsmp but taken seriously”; gave it a name and a playlist but didn’t really write much before I went back to my other projects. If you ever have the motivation to do more with that outline I’d be honored to be a co-writer or help out in any way, or if you want you could just use my title as a name for the series: A Ballad of Broken Dreams.

funnily enough, I’ve had a drafted outline for this heccin thing running around in my head since the Butcher Army arc. Right around when SAD-ist dropped her animatic, I simultaneously realized ‘oh wow, I Adore this concept’ and ‘oh wow, I Highly doubt the CCs are gonna manage to do this the way I’d want to see it’ and lo and behold: I was correct. So painfully correct. (There were also People Involved whom I had Really Bad Feelings About from very early on that, sure enough, turned out to be exactly what i thought they were, rip) So the Emduo prequels, Icarus heccin Dying, and the end of Axe of Peace have been around for Ages.

I’d honestly love to do more with this concept, (i am designing movie posters as we speak) but due to Chronic Illness Pog I’m in a rather unstable financial situation? And don’t have a ton of free time for art. Any big projects are gonna take a While, or id need to find a way to use it or something adjacent to fund, y’know, Rent. That being said, I’m definitely writing the emduo prequels, both as movie scripts and as novels, as those are the films focused on, yknow, My Bois. I also think it’d be hilarious to release the novels and then the scripts and watch people Loose Their Minds over the ‘inaccurate adaptation >>:(‘

I’d absolutely love to work with other people in the fandom on this stuff, though I’ve never been the best at directly co-writing (my writing method and style is painfully specific (ie needlessly poetic) and I’m very autistic: I don’t like it when people touch that Specific Thing) but literally anything else? Im open ears. I love collabs.

and finally, I adore your name for the series, (excellent word choice there /srs, it fits perfectly with the symbolism of the whole story) and I think it works really Really well for the actual DSMP, but if I’m entirely honest… I’m not sure it fits the TCU? Like genuinely I’m so grateful for the suggestion, I love when people offer ideas and bounce things around like that. But one of the main things I tried to do with this concept was work out how the story could actually end Well. A deep-seated belief in the good-but-fallen nature of man, the importance of hope, and the inevitability of redemption kinda comes part and parcel with the whole Being-A-Christian Thing (if it doesn’t, you’re missing the Whole Point Of The Bible) and while the actual DSMP may have ended in broken dreams… this doesn’t. That was my first thought when writing that outline: This Is Going To End Well. Not for wish-fulfillment reasons, not because I’m naive or I don’t like bad endings, but because fundamentally, everything sad is a lie, and if the story has ended in tragedy, it hasn’t ended yet.

If I had to pick a series name now, I’m not sure what I’d pick. A part of me balks at referencing anything popularized by Our Local Redacted, but ‘unfinished symphony’ wasn’t his in the first place, it was from Hamilton. “The Finished Symphony” has a cool ring to it? I dunno. If anyone else has ideas please feel free to toss them in here aight, I’m not settling on anything for a While.

I care about Rose! In fact, we started watching house of dragon (only 2 episode so far though) and it constantly makes me think of Rose because you use it as inspiration. Like obviously there’s the coronation scene which reminds me of stars. And there’s the character Willum is sorta kinda inspired by. And it’s an entirely different world, but every time I’m drawn back to Rose wondering how things will play out. (Which is not pressure to finish writing it if you don’t want to. Writer’s block can be a bitch and I get that the motivation for this project has been sucked out, but I just want you to know that I still care, and I’m not the only one.)

Also, I’ve been meaning to start my Ready, Set, Detonate analysis but I keeps getting away from me. I’m not sure there will be much to analyse, but there’s definitely fun details I want to point out. Oh and I am Looking 👀 at the fit/pac tag and kicking my feet. I don’t actually know if they are already in a relationship (I’m sure we’ll find out, but I just loved Fit’s little “Pac’s here?” That man is gone. Oh and I’m so excited for this Tubbo and to read more Bagi and the lore. Just all of it.

Then the original writing is a mood. I keep getting like a few chapters into my story before deciding it’s not good enough or thinking of something else I could do and throwing it all out. It’s this constant loop that never seems to get anywhere even though the story gets more and more fleshed out in my head every time. I think it’s because the opportunities are endless. Like there’s no characters and personalities and dynamics to stick to like there is in fan fiction. It’s free game but that does mean you have to decide everything yourself.

Anyway, best original writing advice I can give is remember the drafting process. There’s going to be a shit ton of drafts, which feels different for you because you’ve been mostly writing stories and posting them as you go, which means some minor or major editing, but leaves you without a chance to do a once over. It’s a sort of pressure to get everything right the first time. Meanwhile, original writing is something you keep close to your chest. There’s different drafting stages ranging from the zero draft (aka excessive daydreaming about all the possibilities) to the final draft (where you just go through and kill all your darlings and pour over ever single word to find the right one).

I’m struggling a lot with the first draft, which is literally just getting words onto a page. It’s a somewhat coherent mess that just allows you to shape the story and its structure so you can work off of that and edit it later on. I don’t know if this actually helps, but yeah, the first draft sucks and then it mostly gets easier. Just write, is kinda shitty advice, but it’s mainly, just get words onto a page, you will get a million chances to fix it, you don’t need to be happy about what you wrote right now.

god yeah it's so much harder with original fiction because it feels like there's so much pressure. you have too much freedom to do whatever you want so you're constantly second guessing if it's good enough or not. and ofc I know rough drafts are supposed to be shitty but I've tried to hone my skills so that my first draft is always incredibly solid because I rarely have the patience to do heavy edits, but that's with fanfiction. it has to be different with original fiction I know but it's hard to make my brain okay with that. I keep feeling like it needs to be nearly perfect on the first run :( but yeah I'm mostly trying to get words on a page. but then I think back and realize I forgot to mention this or I need to mention more of that etc etc and it's just stressful arghhh

@s-ngh8n: open parasols on the sandy beach with the glittering waves in the distance. kinda like their name, lemon has a sense of freshness that i can't fully articulate using adjectives. so, here i am using a description to fully said what i meant

@boba-beom: xing fu tang's brown sugar boba milk tea. other than the boba theme being similar, smiles to me seems very refreshing and warm in the way she speaks and interacts with yours truly

@dim-sun: a cottagecore-themed pixel art. probably because zu had one of them for their banner one time, but every time i found a forest pixel art, it always reminds me of them...

@it-rains-blue: a rupi kaur-style book full of short stories. condensed yet emotionally rich, that is what the vibe of yerin's writing feels like for me. her range also contributes to it as short stories in one book can make you feel so many emotions; throwing the book against the wall or seeing tears fell on the pages from how it got you to feel.

@heart2beom: the smell of salted popcorn as you sit inside the cinema seats. another random one but jazmine makes me feel that way. i haven't read much of her work but i know that it'll give me a good time just like a good movie does.

@tyunlatte: a litter of kittens walking towards you as you sit on the carpeted floor of a cat cafe. seeing illustrations of cats reminds me of alex so much + the cafe aspect is definitely the kind of vibe if i open her blog. you're always in for a treat!

Here you have my take on F&B being a crooked mirror of historical sources in our own world.

How can you read those books and don't notice that Oldtown with it's Citadel, Sept and Hightowers is a reference to Vatican, only worse? Worse because in ASOIAF they are going to the Sept during the day, preaching to other people of Westeros about how they should live their lives while being assholes themselves, and then at night they go back to play with their creepy, dark magic. I shit you not, they are like some frickin’ Illuminati of the Seven Kingdoms. Like, Jesus, did any of those idiots even do some reasearch on Hightowers? Those fuckers are fanatic zealots!

And they are responsible for writing Westeros' history! They are the ones who control all letters aka communication system in that world.

When you hear the word 'maester' you're not supposed to think about some poor, educated fellows who were suffering under their masters' ignorance. You are supposed to think about priests, who were keeping all of the ancient knowledge to themselves, whispering lies to their lords, poisoning their minds and their bodies, while trying to control them.

I've never seen a 'history book' as biased as Gyldayn's. This man is contradicting himself not even every second page, but sometimes every second sentance. Maesters murdered Aemma and Laena in cold blood, at the least. You want to be a defender of women, take it out on some creeps grooming children or old men causing trauma for little girls? Oldtown Triad is right there for you.

And they hated the Blacks with a burning passion.

It's insane, isn't it, how easy it is to manipulate history, if you only use the right tools. It's almost like GRRM was trying to make a point with F&B other than telling a story about 'huehue, incest, dragons, big fight'.

So what am I saying? That some of those things didn't even happen in the first place?

It's almost like Daemon and Rhaenyra could've become close, fall in love even, after his return, without him teaching her how to fuck dwarfs 🤔🙄😯. It's almost like Hightowers accused him of grooming the Princess of Dragonstone in order to get rid of him for a second time 😮. By lying. You know? Just like they did it all those years before, by providing false witnesses and lying 😱😵. Or they simply had an affair and some Hightower spy told the King everything. Mind-blowing stuff, huh?

By this point I know I'm like a broken record BUT IF YOU CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THAT DAEMON HAD ROMANCE WITH NETTLES, THEN I CHOOSE TO BELIEVE ALICENT WAS RIDING JAEHAERYS' DICK. IT'S THE SAME FUCKING SOURCE!

Concerning Elanor's antics in Skyrim

Hopefully a little post for me to finally write down some notable events in Elanor's unending struggle in making life in Skyrim somehow worse.

The year is 4E 201. The cart is rolling towards Helgen. Ralof, Lokir an Ulfric have to deal with snoring and absolutely shitfaced Thalmor Justiciar sleeping in the same cart. Say hi to Elanor, age ~110 and her questionable life choices.

- And... who are you? - Oh, I am here for the execution. To watch it, I mean. Although with a headache like this, maybe it would be easier to just chop the whole thing off, you know?

Let it be known, that Elanor should be held responsible for at least half of property damage and casualties in Helgen, because half-drunk is not the proper state to sling around destro spells.

She initially goes to Whiterun just to hitch a ride to Solitude, taking a few detours on the way, naturally, while Delphine runs her own investigation into dragon issues, frustrated that someone has already raided Bleak Falls Barrow. And someone with a frustratingly familiar "woe, ton of atronachs and a chain lightning be upon ye" approach to problems.

Mostly sober now and hungry for a rematch Elanor jumps on a chance to join Irileth's dragon hunt, subsequently devouring her first dragon soul.

A rare moral W for Elanor is stopping vandalizing Talos' statue to give a few coins to Lucia and hear her story. Naturally proceeds to casually offer to go stab her aunt and uncle so the kid can have her farm back, taking a moral L for further traumatizing the child. Evens out by borderline bullying Balgruuf into giving her Breezehome so Lucia and Brenuin can move in there. Leaves Whiterun without elaborating.

Figures it won't take too long to check this out and ventures to High Hrothgar, naturally summoning a dremora lord to princess carry her up the mountain.

Actually has a lot of fun learning funny shouty language and being obnoxious yellow gremlin. Greybeards and their young acolytes less so, but they manage. She particularly aggravates one of their most promising pupils, Eivor.

This leads to him attempting to get the Horn in the Ustengrav before Elanor can get there and coincidentially running into Delphine there and them teaming up for the time being. Elanor meanwhile doing a very important sidequesting and terrorizing local populace.

Subsequently, Elanor also forgets about the whole Horn thing after getting yelled at by Elenwen (via letter) and summoned back to the Embassy to talk about the whole dragon problem. Finds her in the middle of some daedric quest aka "Oh, you are Sheo's kid, right? Can you help me a bit out there?"

Upon making it to the Embassy shows up exactly in time for another one of Elenwen's parties. While partying takes another rare moral W by disposing of Erikur. Immediatelly proceeds to take a ton of faction-typical moral Ls for what she does to get information on Esbern out of Etienne. Also gets roped into figuring out the whole Potema thing.

After gifting Potema (bound to the skull) to Elisif, Elanor proceeds to head for the Riften where the hunt for the Blades starts. Very fun and enriching! She hasn't felt that alive since the Great War! Certainly being very normal! Surely not terrorizing and driving her quarry borderline mad with the lack of sleep and constant attacks.

Eventually makes it to the Sky Haven Temple, gets run through by Delphine's katanas, excitedly asks if dear worstie would want those back or if she can keep them for the collection. Yes, she has a collection.

Gets the Horn from Eivor, finally remembers that she is supposed to bring it back to yelling grandpas. Takes a metaphorical selfie in front of Alduin's Wall and leaves to do just that. As a result gets yet again insulted by people giving her the same title as tiber fucking septim, but on the bright side of things - she gets to meet Paarthurnax. Imprints on him like a sad lost duckling.

Dragon problems continue to escalate while Elanor is trying to dig up an Elder Scroll somewhere. Along the way takes part in the College questline, annoys Psijics and takes another rare moral W by being actually decent to college kids. Dangerously unhinged, but decent.

"Hey, kid, do you know how to summon atronachs that explode? No? Do you want to?"

After acquiring the Scroll Elanor actually remembers to go to Paarthurnax with it and finds out she can't actually perform Dragonrend as the concept of mortality is, funnily enough, alien to a functionally immortal being. Still proceeds to beat Alduin to a stalemate using her cool new shouts and good old reliable "enough magic firepower to level a city" approach.

Peace talks? Gloriously failed.

Joins the Civil War on the side of the Legion, but causes so much problems Ulfric should have probably taken her on the payroll. In any case, eventually Whiterun's position is secure enough so Balgruuf agrees to the whole "capture the dragon" plan.

Final showdown with Alduin happens, the crisis averted, the dragons chill down a bit, Elanor goes back to being a menace, gets drunk with Sanguine to celebrate, ends up in Cindhna Mine as a result, you know, the typical stuff. Civil War rages on...

Dawnguard: Elanor joins the side of Dawnguard, offers Serana to beat up both Harkon and Molag Bal if it would cheer her up, casually drops the fact of being an artificially created "godling" in the conversation, adores her new cool bow. Promises to figure out some loophole to get Durnie out of Soul Cairn permanently.

Actually gets her "parents" to join her and in fact beat Molag Bal up. Cathartic experience.

Dragonborn: oh no, worsties are fighting. Elanor is absolutely head over heel about the prospect of finally fighting someone strong again, and ends up draggin Miraak back to the Nirn after Mora tries to pull a sneaky.

"Hey, maybe I should start a cult too, you know? I am cool and basically a goddess in the flesh, I deserve one"

The Dragon Cult 2: Electric Boogaloo. Now comes in girlboss.

A few years later Elanor is mostly known as Thurrahdaal, the Winged Majesty, and Paarthurnax is doing his damned best to keep her at least somewhat sensible. Somewhat succeeds. Sometimes it requires whacking her on the head with a wing or a tail, while in private.

Eventually, a century or so later, our horrible meow meow embraces the whole Alduin thing and devours this particular timeline, abusing her privileges to keep her horrible bf (Ancano, also the head priest of her fun little cult) around.

Following this "lives" at Akatosh and Co place and scheming something very dastardly to do to one divinely neighbour.

Harvest Omens -- AKA Mari is going insane

I should be doing my school work right now (disregarding the fact that it is almost 2 in the morning as I start writing this), however I have a lot of thoughts in regards to my partner and I's Good Omens Stardew Valley AU -- while I still love and regard my d&d au with my whole entire soul, this is currently our hyperfixation/idea fixation so a lot of the stuff we are doing/thinking about is in regards to this idea in particular and i am vibrating with so many thoughts and ideas that i cannot necessarily easily translate to the page or to a drawing and its driving me NUTS -- If you want to listen to the mad ramblings of frankly an insane individual /j in regards to their stardew valley x good omens crossover au of madness youre welcome to keep reading

To start, here are some portraits of the two main idiots I made using this portrait maker. It was a ton of fun to translate them into something more tangible to look at -- they do not exactly look like this, however, but this is the closest I could get with the maker so that is what I am working with. The main crux of why this idea came in the first place is because I started playing the stardew valley 1.6 update (which i cant do much of anymore THANKS UNIVERSITY :D) and subsequently playing this new update with the existing Stardew Omens mod, or well, the updated one by @counterklock (hi if you see this sorry for tagging just wanted to credit) which can be found HERE

So what exactly is the deal with these two? What is their place in the overall story???? I will say that there may be some similarities with the existing popular crossover fic "Untitled Stardew Omens Fic", however we generally have been trying to keep things purely original in this instance in order to keep these ideas purely separate. Don't want to step on any toes!!! (both the mod and the other au fic)

Start off with (at least in our writing so far) who I suppose is the main protagonist and who's perspective we get the most of -- Crowley.

Crowley in this story does work for the Joja Corporation, or as it can be interpreted, Hell (not that working for a capitalist organization wasn't already hell to begin with). The corporation wants to expand their business into new untapped markets, one of the most glaring ones being tight-knit rural communities much like Pelican Town. While there is a Joja Mart there, it doesn't earn enough of a profit as they would like. The biggest hurdle in this instance is the loyalty the members of the community have to each other and to their local businesses. This is where Crowley comes in, as he is the key player in their ultimate plan: the Rural Reliance and Trust-Establishment Initiative. What's the main goal? To infiltrate these communities, carefully gain their trust, and slowly dismantle their reliance on more local businesses and encourage them to utilize Joja products instead. In order to fully implement this initiative, they had to do a test run, with Crowley as their guinea pig.

Under the falsely made person as "the grandson of a well-loved community member who has since long past", Crowley is sent to live on a piece of property Joja secretly bought for this project and implement himself as a member of the local community. By acting as a community member and local farmer, he slowly shifts the townsfolks' reliance to be towards Joja products. Crowley, being a city person for practically his entire life, has a lot of reservations about "going up there and making some trouble" in the small rural community -- however, it does not seem that he has much of a choice in the matter.

It's safe to say that Crowley...fumbles his way through this assignment. And as a cherry on top, the assignment so far has been doing the complete opposite of what it was supposed to do. Instead of shifting the townsfolk to start using Joja more often, slowly yet surely this project has been drawing their employee (Crowley) away from them, their products, and their practices, as he gets a taste of life outside of that, and truly sees the extent of their malicious practices outside of a city setting. He struggles to farm at first, making a mess out of his first set of crops and desperately trying to grow at least one batch of flowers (because that is what he really wanted to grow in the first place), and often fails at being a consistent social presence within the community. Overtime, he starts to grow into a farmer that rants and vents to his crops, he develops a mysterious aura as he "becomes linked with the forest" and starts to befriend the local witch, and he finds himself falling head first into a crush on the self-imposed isolated, old-fashioned, overly kind librarian. He's a city kid that finally allows himself to relax, and through this allows himself time for self-reflection and personal growth (you can pry genderfluid!crowley from my cold dead fingers -- you thought this au crowley was cis/ Sike!!! he doesn't know that he is until later so its a surprise for him too)

Meanwhile, Aziraphale has been a member of Pelican Town for as long as anyone could remember. He grew up in this community, this place is truly his home. As a baby/young child, Aziraphale did live with his "mother" (a placement for god essentially), but one day she just...disappeared, and he was considered abandoned/orphaned. The saying "it takes a village" does truly apply to Azi in this case -- he grew up with the members of the community, being parents by nearly all of the adults, and experiencing his childhood with all of the local kids as his family. The community center, library, and local farm were his sanctuary, his true home. As members of the community he grew up in moved away and/or died over time, and the community facilities (such as the CC) slowly became decrepit and broken, Aziraphale started to lose those stable parts of his life. As he lost more and more of his support network, Azi became more isolated, a self-imposed social recluse. He made a home within the library, and isn't seen outside of it for long periods of time since.

He can be found outside every now and then, of course. Twice every season (except for Winter), Azi would go to the bus stop and have a quiet picnic with himself. Grandpa (or "crowley's gramps") was like a father/grandfather-figure to Azi -- he was the one who raised him the most, who taught him and actively took care of him. His death impacted Azi the hardest, as it was his last close personal connection that was finally lost. Having that picnic lets him feel close to the one who truly considered him family. Along with that, once a week in the late evenings (right before the store is to close), Azi can be found in Pierre's buying groceries. More often than not, this trip is on a sunday to allow him to pray to Yoba in the personal chapel. He could also be found, roughly once a month, in Gus's saloon purely because of the fact that the menu has "maki rolls" on the list.

Whether it was truly because he couldn't see that it was half buried in the dark, or the fates decided that these two should properly meet, regardless Crowley ultimately found Aziraphale through a lost book. "Anyone could've returned this book, surely?", "why didn't he even bother to go check to find the book?" -- is what many may be asking. For that, I present the following response: "They're gay and they can do whatever they want"

They're both complete idiots, but they're my idiots. I have thoughts about many of the other characters too and how they fit in this world (anathema -- witch, new -- previous walmart id, works with adventurers guild right now. adam and the Them just casually living in the valley), etc.etc. for other charcters, but I will not get into them now due to time and my own mental sanity. I want to make sure everything fits within the current lore as much as possible, while also not leaving specific people out and making them upset.

It hasn't been quite a year, but I looked back here and saw my last pinned post, and thought I might make another.

I was reading over my last pinned post and it's funny how much better things have gotten since then. I don't have the same job, I work somewhere else now, and it shows me how much better things can be. I was holding my head above the water with the last team I worked with, but now I have coworkers and managers that care about and support me.

Last time, I mentioned that my birthday had passed, and that just a small few friends came by for a little while but had to leave. I was happy for it but this year was so much better and it was what I had hoped for last year.

I had most of the same, I just invited my coworkers and friends to come hang out, have cake and food and such. A bunch of my coworkers came by and stayed well until 10 or 11 at night before everyone started heading home, and it was so much fun, and so fulfilling. It took 24 years but I finally have what I wished for all along: people that I can physically be with, that I have some kind of tangible love with. Life is full of hits-and-misses and attempted connections and bitter failures, but eventually you do get your chance. It was all worth it in the end.

I finished FFXIV, too, which is fun! Now I'm part of the crowd waiting with bated breath for the next expansion, but now that I have finished it, I find myself needing new ways to fill the time that used to be playing FF. I've picked up, played, and even finished some handful of games; Palworld, Vintage Story, a bit of Transistor, and the ever-beloved Sims. And in every game I play I find myself delightfully driven to create and write and join in on the world.

I managed to find and join a company in FFXIV that's focused on roleplay, and I've been having a lot of fun with Sye, but I've also created Takumi now too! They've got all their bits and pieces in motion, but aside from that, I also reached out to and joined an RP-focused Vintage Story server. It's been a lot of fun finally getting to indulge these things that I wanted to do for so long, but tried and failed so many times.

I've also been befriending my company mates, many of whom also love to write and draw and otherwise create. I got to read the draft of the first chapter of my friend's book; I am proofreading and editing for another one of them; and yet another has given me a link to their old D&D information for me to go read. I've made new friends, in and out of FFXIV, and even they have tons of amazing art and writing to share. Even in other games, like Vintage Story, I'm playing with friends and forming towns where we actually work together and delegate specific tasks to people who want to do them. It feels like all of the joys I experienced as a kid are finally being re-ignited in the best way possible.

I haven't written too much - if you don't count roleplay posts - but I have been indulging the ~egotistical~ love of my own voice. It's been fun making pseudo-audiobooks of the fics I've written and singing all of the songs that I love and getting to talk and laugh with my company mates and other friends.

All in all, I think I can say I'm happy with where my life is right now. I'll leave this with a pristine verse from Kristoff Krane this time:
