Book darry facts!!

He doesn't like films- thinks his life is enough without inspecting other people's.

Looks just like his father but acts the opposite of him.

People had always mistaken him and his dad as brothers instead of father and son.

Darry likes being teased by sodapop.

He was a real popular guy in school. He was captain of the football team, and was voted Boy of the year.

Him and Sodapop wrestle and tickle ponyboy out of bed.

Dally told pony "You ought to see Darry. He's takin this mighty hard" when visiting ponyboy at the church

Darry was the unofficial leader of their gang, since he kept his head best.

Not even Darry wants to tangle with Dally, he was dangerous.

He didn't cry at his parents funeral. Just stuffed his fists into his pockets and wore a helpless, pleading look.

Darry told the reporters Pony is in no shape to be yelled at so much and they slowed down because he's kinda big.

Darry and Sodapop had their pictures taken by reporters too, because they were so good looking.

Darry convinced the nurse to tell him whats Johnny's and Dallys condition.

Darry likes his eggs in a bacon and tomato sandwich.

He drinks black coffee.

Darry was convinced by sodapop and pony to let them eat chocolate cake for breakfast. It didn't take a lot to convince him: he loves chocolate cake as much as his brothers.

They never lock their doors, and when Two-bits mom tried to warn them about burglars, Darry just flexed his muscles so they bulged like oversized baseballs, and drawled that he wasn't afraid of any burglars.

He works two jobs at once and makes good at both of them.

The gang sometimes calls Darry "muscles" or "Superman". (earlier in the book ponyboy mentions his Superman qualities)

Darry had taken Pony to a doctor after his bad nightmares, and even after he stopped dreaming them, Darry would still ask if he dreamed anymore.

Darry sometimes calls Sodapop- PepsiCola, which was his dad's nickname for him.

He called Ponyboy Little buddy after the rumble, which was his nickname for Sodapop.

Darrys stricter with Ponyboy than their parents had been.

"The only thing that keeps Darry from being a Soc is us"

The Curtis brothers all eat like horses- Especially Darry. He had cooked two chickens before the rumble because of this.

Darry started shaving at 13.

Darry never had long hair. His was short and clean all the time.

Darry fights for pride.

Darry had taught the gang acrobatics after he took a course of it at the Y. He spent a whole summer teaching then everything, thinking it'd come in handy in a fight.

"He wasnt to be any hood when he got old. He was going to get somewhere. That's why he's better than the rest of us."

Darrys in better shape than most greasers. "This is partly because they dont eat much and partly because they're slouchy. Darry looked like he could whip anyone there."

Darry and Paul used to buddy it around all the time- Paul was the best half-back on Darrys football team.

"You could see he hated Paul now. It wasn't only jealously- Darry had a right to be jealous; he was ashamed to be on our side, ashamed to be seen with the Brumly boys, Shepards gang, maybe even us."

Darry and Sodaoop had never been beaten in a fight before.

Darry had pulled his armchair into Ponyboys room so he can look over him when he was sick after the rumble.

Darry checks Pony's math homework and catches all his mistakes- then makes him do them again.

Darry, Sodapop and Ponyboy tied when running back to the house- they wanted to stay together.

The things about Sodapop is that he's just a sixteen year old boy who lost his parents and had to become the glue that holds his family together. Ponyboy is hurting, he's different from the other Greasers, is more sensitive and innocent, he isn't suited for the Greasers lifestyle. Darry's also hurting, he's had to sever all ties to a life he could've had, a better life, to take care of his brothers, to work long hours, to have all the burdens on his shoulders. And they both don't get along, don't understand each other. And Sodapop does and they find respite in him, someone who listens and validates their problems and can console them.

He's basically both of their emotional crutch. And while Darry and Ponyboy adore him, know they wouldn't be able to get along without him, even they don't realize the extent of how much they depend on him. He makes it so that he's overlooked, acting so happy and carefree, but maybe some of it is just a front, to try to be emotionally strong for both of them and so they don't realize he has his own feelings and problems, maybe even trying to get himself to forget them because he wouldn't be able to support his brothers if he was caught up in himself.

He talks about having tried at school but having never been able to succeed at it. He probably has his own insecurities about not being clever enough for school and being less exceptional than both his brothers (Dally was a football captain, good at school and popular while Ponyboy's very smart and intelligent and stands out among the crowd). He thinks of himself as destined to live and die a Greaser and never wants nor thinks more than that for himself.

He's just so good and sweet and I love him so much

DARRY'S POV

I walked over to the bathroom after slipping my boxers on and grabbed a towel. I wet it with warm water under the faucet, and then walked back over to my room where Y/n was.

Y/N POV

I was really tired, and I was about to fall asleep as I heard Darrel slowly open and close the door. I groan because of the light creaking sound it made.

"I'm back" Darry whispers

"Ok" I whisper back at him. He's holding a towel that seemed damp

"I have to clean ya up ok?" He says, crawling into bed. I nod my head slowly, closing my eyes wanting badly to sleep. He reaches down slowly and hesitantly. He rubs my thigh lightly, asking me to open up...I do, and he slowly wipes the juices off of my pussy, and my thighs. I arch my back up, since I was still sensitive. I hiss a little and then he pulls away from me. He pulls his boxers off, and cleans off his member before throw the towel to the side.

"WE'RE HOME DARRY!!" Sodapop yelled.

"OK BOYS" Darry yells back, before turning to me.

DARRY'S POV

I was....I don't know...glad? that I was Y/n's first. And I was glad she trusted me like that.

"You did so wonderful baby" I whisper is Y/n's ear, wrapping an arm around her waist

"Well...I could say the same about you" she mumbles as she turns her back to me. I was a little confused, so I pulled my arms away from her warm body

"Hey...did I do something wrong. Why'd ya turn away?" I ask worried. I know it seems dumb, but with everything in my life, specifically raising my two kid brothers, I'm always worried I did something stupid.

"I'm tired...and I need to find a comfortable position..." She mumbles out, cozying up in the blanket

"Ok...I was scared I did something wrong. Sorry baby" I say

Y/N POV

I turn again to face Darry

"Darrel, you've been nothing but amazing all night ok?" I reassure him, pulling him in for a kiss. I feel his arms wrap around my waist as we pull away from each other. I scoot down so my head can lay on his chest and I close my eyes... They're was a few minutes of silence, and then I broke it

"Darry, do you think it's weird that we had sex so soon in our relationship?" I ask

"Maybe....maybe not. Some people do it on the first date...which is actually kinda weird...But I think....I think that we both just wanted to show our love for each other." Darry says quietly, and I feel his heart beat quicken. I smile at his words.

DARRY'S POV

"If feels good. In highschool, since I was Mr. 'captain of the football team', I had girls all over me. But the only thing they wanted was popularity, it's so stupid...the whole idea of popularity. Why cant we just be people...you know? And it feels good, because y-you truly love me.... I've never been truly loved my anyone but family" I spill my heart out to her...I don't know why. It's probably because she's the only person I feel like I can trust other than Sodapop and Ponyboy, but sometimes I don't think they understand either.... I haven't shared my feelings with anybody, since my parents died. And I know that's pretty bad

"Oh Darrel....it's ok baby. I'm not gonna leave you...ever...ok?" Y/n says as she looks up at me with loving eyes. I felt tears well up in my eyes. I really do love her, and it felt good to know she loved me back. I look back up at the ceiling, taking a deep breath. My hand reaches up to Y/n's head, and my fingers start to run through her pretty hair.

"I might even say I love you" she says. Her chin is on my chest, looking up at me and she has a wide smile on her pretty face.

"I love you too sweet girl" I say smiling back at her, looking down at her. My tears had disappeared by now. I look back at the ceiling, and then close my eyes trying to sleep. I feel Y/n soon fall asleep on me, and then I fall asleep after her. It truly was a wonderful night, and I was glad I could share all of it with her.

THE NEXT MORNING

Y/N POV

I woke up with Darrel spooning me, and his arms were around my waist. I could tell he was still asleep because of his breathing. It was slow and steady, and he had a very very light snore. I smiled to myself. I like seeing him so calm and ... vulnerable? around me. And I smiled wider at the memories of last night. I felt a little bit of shifting behind me, and a groan as Darry woke up. I turned to face him and he looked down at me

"Good morning lovely" Darry said just above a whisper.

"Good morning pretty boy" I reply ina whisper, stretching a little bit. Darry takes his arms away from me, and stretches as well with a soft groan.

"Aahh, I think I hurt my back at work" Darry says, laying back down and wrapping me back up in his strong arms. I giggle a little.

"Ddooo you want me to rub your back?" I ask

"No...I just need to lay down a little longer with my girl" he says, kissing the top of my head. I rest my head on his chest, staring into the distance, afraid that if I closed my eyes I would fall asleep again.

"I'm off work today so if you want, we can sleep in and cuddle" Darry says, running his fingers through my hair.

"I'd like that....mmmmm I'd like that alot." I reply. Darrel hums in response, and closes his eyes. I do the same, and soon fall asleep

DARRY'S POV

I woke up for the second time, with Y/n in a deep sleep in my arms. I looked at the time. 10:10. I had to get up...

"Baby girl....come on...we have to get up" I whisper as I lightly shake Y/n. She groans and turns her back to me.

"Five more minutes" she says, covering her head with the blanket.

"No baby, we have to get up now" I say, still whispering, turning to her and kissing her shoulder, and then trailing kisses all the way up to her forehead. She let out happy little giggles as kiss her.

"Oookkk I'll get up." She says turning, and smiling at me. I brush some hair out of her face, and kiss her cheek before getting up.

Y/N POV

After Darry stands up, he slips on his boxers, and separates all the clothes. He sorts his into a small pile, and then hands me mine.

"Thanks baby" I say smiling. My cheek was resting on my fist, and my elbow was on top of the pillow. I watch as Darrel gets dressed.

"The boys probably cooked breakfast, so we can have leftovers or I can get you something hot" Darry says, as I stand up to change.

"Well you're right here, and you seem pretty hot to me" I say. I look in the full body mirror that Darry had and look at the hickeys he left. I see him smile from a seated position on the bed in the reflection of the mirror. I couldn't tell if he was smiling at me calling him hot, or the marks he left. I turn to face him and walk over to him.

"You're proud of 'em aren't you" I say leaning down, so our faces were level. His face gets a little red, and he looks down

"Yea, is that a bad thing" he says, looking in my eyes again

"I guess not" I say, shrugging my one shoulder and walking away from him to change. I pull on my bra, undies, and then grab one of Darry's big shirts. I pull it over my body, and its like a mini dress, going down to just above the midway point of my thighs.

"You look so pretty" Darry says

"I agree, I like this shirt. I might steal it" I say, sitting beside him on the bed.

"I don't usually wear it, so I guess it's ok" Darry says, pecking my lips.

DARRY'S POV

"C'mon, let's grab some food. I'll make you eggs" I say standing up, and holding my hand out. Y/n groans and grabs my hand. I chuckle at how tired she was, and we walk out into the kitchen. I release Y/n soft hands, and walk to the fridge to grab some eggs.

outsiders pirate au

so technically i had this idea last year october when i drew mer darry, but the tumblr ask inspired me to actually like.. plan it out.

😇 Info about it below the line

→ The curtis bros are all orca mermen!! their parents were killed by hunters ages ago.

They can transform like how monster girl in invincible can..

Darry got his leg amputated by Twobit, the human Sodapop found after the brothers found Darry finned.

Out of solidarity for Darry, Soda and Pony don't go back in their merforms (at least not infront of him)

→The rest of the gang (+shepards) are a pirate crew, which let in the brothers into their crew after Darry's amputation as they needed more men. (Darry and Tim having a thing might've helped this happen as well..) (also its 3 poor orphans, they can't say no)

→ They hate mermen and mermaids !! so the brothers hide what they really are :D

im 5’1 i have black curly hair (prob 3a -ish) and im hispanic ! i love meeting new people and finding new things to talk about, i play volleyball and am team captain! i love reading though and mostly lean towards historical fiction. my mom is a poet so i kind of have to like poetry LOL

i sort of have a green thumb? im great with some plant! but then some are actually horrible to take care of.

i love adopting shy kids!! i also sort of have an accent and it makes me pronounce my k’s like g’s and roll my r’s sometimes.

i have a pet bird and im always teaching him my favorite songs !
