When someone is on an early chapter of OUAST and leaves a review that “there’s witches in supernatural lol”

Bruh.

You’re missing the whole premise.

At this point in the Winchester’s lives, the only “magic” they’ve ever known has been supplied from something else. Demons, angels, monsters. They don’t know about Eve yet, the fairy world, world-hopping, or even the spells and shit that suddenly are common place by like the eighth season. And the ONLY witches or magic they’ve ever met have come from people who sell their soul to demons and basically have to make gross sacrifices to perform magic. At this point for them, they’ve never encountered magic in any other way. Dean doesn’t believe that Disney princesses are actually real people from a magical world. He’s never seen it, so he doesn’t believe it. THAT’S the point. That’s why it’s important to remember the timeline of the story.

And even if I did fuck up, it’s my story. In this story, the Winchesters don’t believe in fairy tale, no-strings magic or nose-twitching witches. Get on board, or gtfo. Don’t leave condescending reviews on a story because you think you’re clever. I’m so over it.

TOP 10 TV SHOW FANDOMS ON AO3 BASED ON NUMBER OF FANWORKS, SINGLE CATEGORY VERSION (2009-2022)

If you want to see the TV Show bar chart with the multi-category fandom tags included, please check this post.

To make these bar chart race, all series titles in the TV Show Category on November 29 (or the closest date to it) of every year were copy-pasted from Wayback Machine to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, manually filtered for fandoms belonging in only one category and then inputted to Flourish to turn into a bar chart race.

Locked fanworks aren't included in the count because Wayback Machine can’t view those, only Ao3 users can.

Jossverse was in the top 10 from 2010-2017 (Top 2 in 2010 and 2011). In 2018, it was removed from the TV Show fandom list and works tagged with it show up in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV) instead so I’ve excluded it from the bar chart.

Thanks for understanding and hopefully I didn’t mess up anywhere! 🙏

ETA: About Doctor Who: Doctor Who actually has 2 tags with ranked higher (Higher than Doctor Who (2005) even) on the list. About Stargate: The Stargate - All Media Types tag is actually interesting because unlike most All Media Types tags, it’s only listed in the TV Show category. That’s why it still turned up in this list. This might just be a lack of tagging its other categories (like Books & Literature) on AO3, however. Now that I checked its subtags, it actually had at least 2 Book & Literature only subtags: Stargate Atlantis: Legacy Series - Various Authors and Stargate SG-1 - Various Authors. So it probably should not have been in this bar chart race. Apologies for the oversight.🙏

i think. cas should lose his memories again after coming back from the empty like he did in s7. and dean is heartbroken but he takes it slow and he tries to get cas to remember the little things, and when that doesn't happen he just tries to make him comfortable and be a good friend even though it's tearing him apart that cas doesn't remember him, especially after what he said right before he died (which he doesn't bring up with cas because what would be the point? more pain? no thank you). and cas is sorry, he wants to remember, he can see how hurt dean is, and even though he doesn't remember dean he still wants him to be happy. like some part of him knows how important dean is to him, even if he doesn't know why. and they develop a whole new, more tender, more fun relationship. they watch movies together and try to figure out what kinds of movies cas likes. they decorate cas' room. dean teaches cas how to cook (although cas finds that the food always tastes better when dean cooks it). they're both careful not to accidentally do or say anything that could hurt the other, not like they're walking on eggshells exactly, they're just more considerate. until one day dean can't take it, he's particularly tired and he breaks down, says he misses his cas, says it's not fair, cas can't just say something like that and then leave him, and then come back broken. come back not feeling the way he did before. it's just not fair. dean has had to rewrite his entire history with cas in his head with the knowledge that cas loved him, it's changed everything he thought he knew, and now that's gone too. and cas holds him and he says he loves him now. he doesn't remember the way it was before but he loves him now, and he knows it's not enough but it has to be, because that's all he's got to give dean. and dean is still mourning his cas but he loves all versions of cas, and the one in front of him is no different, and they kiss, and with the power of true love's kiss cas gets his memories back the end
