Smile For The Camera

~

Tim was excited to try out his new camera, it was a rather old model that he found in a pawn shop, some parts looked like they were just barely functioning when he bought it but with some repairs he managed to do it would hold on, hopefully.

He went around the manor snapping a few quick photos to test out the settings, seeing that they came out a bit discolored and slightly blurry at the edges but otherwise worked quite well for its age.

He looked down at the camera to see how a picture of one of the family photos that was hanging on the wall came out, and then quickly looked down at the camera again,

There in what would be a normal if a bit blurry photo of the family stood a stranger.

The stranger looked back at him with a bright dimpled grin, he would fit right in,there in the photo with his black hair and blue eyes.

His eyes almost looked like they were gazing back at him, they held amusement, almost like he had just shared an inside joke.

Tim looked up at the photo and then back at the camera.

The boy appeared only on his camera, there was no sight of him on the photo on the wall.

He took another photo,

Then another.

That same boy appeared in the other photos that were hanging on the wall.

Tim took a step back.

There in the camera showed the boy smiling down at Bruce.

Bruce who was an infant being held in between Martha and Thomas Wayne.

The being boy looking the same age, not seeming to have aged a day between the photo with Bruce as a baby and the most recent family photo.

Danny Ghost Price of the GZ doing side quests through time for ClockWork getting emotionally attached to the Wayne family: " Let me just join in on the family photos it's not like I'll actually appear on them with these normal non ecto contaminated cameras."

Tim finding the only ecto contaminated piece of technology outside of Amity Park: " Why does it glow in the dark?"

We Got More Info!!!

The newest update just came out today, and we get some more information on our girl Maps. Buckle up because this is going to be a long one.

We're diving back into Maps' abilities.

○ So it turns out Maps had designed and created her own technology to Teleport and Time Travel. Which is a crazy feat all on its own! So teleporting requires her to have some sort of line of sight and organic material. Which means it's safe to assume she can appear just about anywhere she wants. (Sort of like instant transmission)

○ Another thing about her "instan transmission" is that it only applies to herself. So there isn't much she can do in regard to teleporting multiple people at once. But does that include objects? I feel like this could be a downside in the long run, but I can also see the benefits.

I like that she fizzles in and out of places, like lighting. The voice changer on her helmet is a nice touch, too.

○ Her fighting style is something to be desired, though. She uses an electronic shock to attack her opponent. I was hoping to see her use some offensive/defensive styles that the Bat family could have taught. (Cough Damian cough)

I definitely wanted to see another set of her abilities outside of just her device. But just seeing her in action was nice. Maybe once the real fight starts, we'll see more of her defense.

Another thing I noticed was a lack of a mask. I'm not sure how safe it is to not be wearing a mask without her helmet. I guess it's not a big deal since she introduced herself using her real name from the beginning.

But I doubt she does this in the future, Batman must not have been her mentor if this was allowed.

○ The time traveling isn't really explained much in the chapter, but what we do know is that it's only got a limited time frame, in each time period.

Referring back to that time, when she got that little notification on her device.

We're not sure what the "specific limit" is, but it's safe to assume it's not long. On top of her limited time remaining in the past/future. She probably won't give out much information about her future and how she became Meridian.

I've said this before, but I hope Maps gets her own issue about her journey of becoming Meridian. That would be so hyped!

All I'm all, I love the amount of "screen time" Maps is getting in this chapter. Hopefully, we'll get more action in the last chapter.

In case of out of the box theories, please spread the word THAT:

1. This is NOT a ghost/horror story

2. This is a REINCARNATION & TIME TRAVEL plot

3. This is a HAPPY ENDING 100% unless— (explanation below but it is going to be a huge spoiler. Read at your own risk)

I warned you! ⚠️

If we remember the 1st trailer, that was a huge spoiler from the whole Part 1 of the whole novel. As we can see, Jom is from the present time. He is an architect sent to Chiang Mai to modify an old house where he also had his accident. He next woke up to 1927 which was Khun Yai's era (I won't discuss which era they live, we will watch the series together) in Chiang Mai BUT after the wormhole is done with his time in 1928, instead of going home, he will be traveling to another time, Ayutthaya period (beginning of Part 2), where Khun Yai also exists but as a commander and a different person than Khun Yai in Part 1. Part 2 will also explain Khun Yai's behavior that could not be explained in Part 1.

To clarify, we have 3 eras. Present, 1927-1928 & Ayutthaya period where we (and Jom) will be witnessing the different Khun Yai's in each lifetime.

Now, this is a happy ending because after Part 2, Jom will be sent home to the present time, there will still be a little bit more things that will happen to resolve everything in the present time but once he goes back, he will be meeting another version of Khun Yai who has the heart of Part 1 & Part 2 towards Jom. So don't worry, it will not be like your Scarlet Heart, Mr. Queen or Rooftop Prince and whatever is in your mind.

What's the possibility why it won't be a happy ending?

Obviously, it will have a happy ending 100% based on the novel but the only reason why it probably won't is because there's a huge possibility that Deehup is preparing a S2 for this series.

Analyzing P'Boss explanation, it looks like they will be ending the series only with Part 1 and will return with Part 2. Since he mentioned the older era will be an easter egg, there's a chance that they won't be covering it for this season. Besides, 12 episodes doesn't look like it's enough to cover the whole 2 parts of the story. So we might expect that the ending of the series will be a cliffhanger but that's only my analysis based off P'Boss interview, you may interpret it based on your own belief.

In my opinion, I do hope we'll get 2 seasons. Part 2's quite complicated, it will need a lot of preparation.

Among Deehup's works, I read Lovely Writer & I Feel You Linger In The Air (still reading 🥲). I would really enjoy discussing the novels (LWTS & KaoUp too). I'm also watching Step by Step, sadly there's no novel translation yet. In the future I might keep talking about IFYLITA here.

De-aged!Max, short drabble. Non Explicit. (Maxiel)

The kid stares at him.

When Daniel looks down to the boy's hands he makes a pained noise and holds Daniel's helmet tighter to his chest; it's the one with the pink and glitter on it. Daniel remembers him, a vague memory inside his head that he couldn't really picture even if he tried. Daniel knows he met Max when Max was younger; they shook hands back in his torturous rookie days filled with thousands of other stupid promotions and awkward meetings. He saw the photos too, when they resurfaced from place in the bottom of the internet after Max was announced as his new team mate.

Daniel is sure; this has to be Max. Kid Max. Boy Max. A chubby faced blonde boy standing in the middle of his living room caught red handed.

"Hey," Daniel murmurs, not really sure if he's dreaming, or if he's dead. Or maybe Max is dead, maybe he crashed while Daniel was sleeping and his younger soul came to say goodbye. Maybe this is a visit from Max's wandering soul to say farewell to their little secret den. Maybe Max was thinking of Daniel as he lost control of his car and that's why he's stuck in this version of himself, the one Max was way before he grew up and became a man that liked women and won world championships.

"Max, a—are you, is, is it really you?" Daniel stutters.

The boy, Max, looks at him with wild eyes after he hears Daniel say his name and drops the helmet to the floor. The loud crack of the material startles Daniel, he takes a step back, nervous and on his toes, not really knowing what the boy will do.

"Don't tell my papa," Max whispers, pulling the end of his shirt and wiping his hands on it like he touched something dirty. "I was only looking."

Daniel shakes his head quickly, raising both hands in truce.

My papa.

Shit.

If Max's father from another dimension comes out of Daniel's kitchen or something, then he may actually drop dead right in the spot. Or end up in jail.

"It's okay, mate." Daniel soothes him. He tries smiling but boy Max doesn't smile back. "It's a pretty cool, right?, it's good, don't worry."

Boy Max frowns, and then looks down at Daniel's helmet lying on the floor. Daniel thinks for a second that Max will pick it up, but the thought gets thrown out of the window soon as Max's shoe hits the visor and makes the helmet fly to the other side of the room.

"Well, shit." Daniel says, frowning back at the Max from a different timeline. "That was rude as fuck."

"I want my papa," Boy Max grunts, crossing his arms over his chest, his face flushing pink. "Call my papa, now." He orders Daniel, like it's Daniel's fault he's here and not wherever he should be at. Or whenever. Shit.

It must be a sign from God or something, but as soon as the words leave the kid's mouth, Daniel's phone starts blasting the loud new stupid ringtone Michael installed on it as a joke a few days ago.

"Shit," Daniel curses. He stares back at mini Max trying to seem commanding and holds a warning finger towards him, "Don't move."

Daniel runs to his room and rushes towards his phone resting on the bed; a bad habit that has cost him a few screens.

It's Max, his name written next to the tongue emoji that Max put on there when he saved his number on Daniel's phone years ago.

"Max?," Daniel whispers in panic, a weird feeling flooding his body as he considers he may be going crazy for real. It doesn't feel like a dream. The kid looked fucking real and alive. And Daniel hasn't been this awake since he was born, probably.

"Daniel," Max says, sounding like he just saw a fucking ghost. "Daniel, you, you—you're never gonna believe me. Please, listen, ju—just, listen to me, please."

Daniel feels a cold wind hit the back of his neck, some tingling sensation of a pair of eyes on him. He looks over his shoulder and almost faints when the kid is there, holding a small butter knife so tightly his knuckles are white. Max is shaking like a leaf, but so is Daniel, and he realizes the weapon of the boy he curses at his old self for being too lazy after eating those croissants.

"I want to go home," Boy Max says, and Daniel is so overwhelmed by the insanity of the situation it takes him a few seconds to realize the kid's face is wet with tears, "I want to go back, now." He growls at Daniel, shaking the silverware in his hand as a treat.

For fucks sake.

"I do, " Daniel sighs to the other side of the line. He presses the speaker button and holds the phone towards the Dutch murder baby in front of him. "so you better fucking believe me too. And put the fucking butter knife down."

So hear me out.

I've been thinking of time travel via going to different universes where timeflow is altered compared to ours, and thus came up with this concept:

Black line is world Black: A standard world with nothing weird there.

Red line is world Red: Same thing, but time flows backwards (right-to-left).

Then there's world Blue: A squiggly. Whenever it crosses itself or other worlds, let's say, a possibility of opening a portal between them is present.

Let's say we begin at some given moment. Right now, the present time is at the left end of the image. Thus the Red world goes back into the past of both Blue and Black worlds when we hit play.

Blue world has a possibility of time-travel at point A into itself, meaning you can go into the future right then, or into the past if you are already in the future. Blue world then collides with the Black world, and thus whoever traveled there has no possibility to travel back until the next spiral of the Blue world's timeline comes around. Approaching point E: there we can enter the Red world and later on exit it through point D due to the time flowing backwards here. THEN we get to point B on the Black World - a safe place which upon entrance will allow you to travel back in time of the Blue world (or into the future if you are already in the past).

Safe routes within one loop of the spiral for the Red world are: E->D.

Safe routes within one loop of the spiral for the Black world are: C->B->A->C...

Safe routes within one loop of the spiral for the Blue world are: E->B->A, E->B->C->E...

I think this stuff is really cool.

When I Touched the Wall

I went inside a castle that stood there years ago; no one lives there now except the keepsakes and statues for a show. And when I thought I’d seen it all, the guardian would say, “Adieu!” Another door opened and made me enter a door I thought I was not a stranger to.

There welcomed my view, a golden gilded wall painted years ago with fluttering birds and silver blossoms that bloom when the snow goes. As I pressed on the wooden floors that creaked in a way, I always knew the floors made sounds like how a beautiful fowl sings to whom it doesn't want to let go.

As I walked the wooded floor, the fowl sang, saying, “I don’t want to let go.” My chest is supposed to tighten when I feel a terrific zephyr blow in a room enclosed that isn’t mine yet; to me, it feels like it knows. It knows I understand I, too, don't want to let go.

Halfway from the farewell light, I reached for the wall that seemed you touched not long ago. The wall felt warm as I pressed on, and my bosom felt it would meet you. There, before the exit, I blinked my eyes, “One, two.” Then you appeared in my very eyes, in a garb from long ago.

Your hand met mine, and they became intertwined as if there were no letting go. What you did took me back, and so did the clothes I wear now. The silk felt like mine, yet the time wasn’t right. I panicked. My eyes blinked. “One, two.” Now, back in time, hand on a metal frame, I think I should have stayed with you.

And just when I thought that was the last I’d see of you, there you are again—there you go. You are standing in a garden of blossoms falling like snow. My feet walked towards you as if they knew that’s what they had to do. Only to stop two feet away, seeing someone holding your hands as if she’d held them first years ago.
