Caroline Hirons has been in this business for so long that I’m surprised now is the time she releases her book.

Skincare has been apart of her life throughout generations, her mum and nan both was in this sector. It’s amazing that it’s been passed down because I will one day have children in the future hopefully, son or daughter I want them to know all skin types is normal but to look after your skin is priority.

I don’t want my child or my nieces and nephews have to worry or be ashamed of their skin like I was.

I’m embracing acne and my page is to raise awareness and positivity surrounding the beauty stigma of PERFECT SKIN.

Stocked at @lookfantastic and I’m so glad I bought the face mist impulsively (I’m an impulsive buyer). @fortifyskin Sonic Facial Brush.

Now I’ll be honest it was an impulsive buy but as I wanted to try the Foreo facial brushes I couldn’t justify the price. So I saw this ad and I thought “hey I’ll spend my money!” (That I don’t have).

First time I used it tonight and I can safely say my skin feels like it had a deep clean with my @nipandfab teen skin fix night wash.

I feel like my skin hasn’t dried out and it felt it has gone deeper into my pores.

This is an impulse buy I’m glad I used and I can’t wait to use it tomorrow and continue with even with cleansers.

However I showed my mum she went “KATE DON’T SHOW ME A VIBRATOR!” 🙈😆

If you want to try @foreo but don’t want to pay the price I recommend trying these and then you can decide on whether it suits you and like enough to pay the price! I know I will branch out to one of them even after one night of trying it!

THE INKEY LIST C-50 Blemish Night Treatment.

Night two of using it, the review will form when it is needed. I am drafting as first thoughts now.

I do cleanse using the Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser due to the reviews and recommendations. Whilst I was on their site I thought I would try this product. I need a nighttime treatment and this has great reviews that matched the cleanser.

Has anyone used this before or if there is any acne prone skin related products from #inkeylist that I need to try, hit me up!

HOLIKA HOLIKA Redness Calming CICA Dressing Mask.

Ever since discovering Holika Holika face masks I came across this particular mask. As from my previous posts you have seen the redness in my face, I suffer bad and have done for awhile.

This was always sold out on beauty bay, later managed to get my hands on a couple.

I was interested in the dressing design, and the benefits it came with it.

Formulated with soft, natural ingredients to care for sensitive skin, this calming sheet mask helps to effectively soothe irritated and reddening skin.

To say I’ve been impressed is an understandment. The freckles on my face really start to pop. And the cleanliness I feel is incredible.

THE STEPS:

I wash my face.

Tone.

Apply mask.

Leave for 20 mins.

Circular motions on the face after with the product and important clean and sanitised hands.

A shower treatment worth knowing.

So in the shower, I have this hidden gem.

Once hair is washed using the best Mane N Tail Original shampoo and conditioner, body is washed with Glossier Body Hero Oil.

I in Warm water wet my face and get a good blob of the Mario Badescu ‘Acne Facial Cleanser’ and wash my face in a circular motion to cleanse my face.

Once I feel my face is covered and cleansed I will leave for a few moments then I wash off the cleanser.

This is a great way of finishing my shower and feeling fresh and clean, as due to my acne when I shower I feel clean but my face never feels clean without a good wash of a cleanser hence why I thought I’ll try it in the shower and once I am out I pay dry and that gets me in the mood to get in clean pjs on and have ready my morning or night skincare routine ready.

The Mario Badescu acne facial cleaner is a daily face wash which boasts exfoliating properties that help break down impurities and encourage a balanced, healthy-looking complexion formulated with Salicylic acid and a blend of botanicals like Aloe Vera, Chamomile, and Thyme.

For facial washing, the best water temperature is warm. Cold water doesn't effectively remove the daily grime, hot water may irritate and dry out your skin. Warm water helps loosen the dirt, but preserves your skin's natural hydrating oils.

Transformation so far...

Tonight I’m celebrating me.

I thought I’ll put a collage together of when I started my skincare regime till now and oh my god I’m so happy and proud of how far my skin has come.

I will get there with my self confidence but it’s improved a lot since the first photo and when that was taken my self esteem was the lowest I’ve been.

I will continue to blog as a diary, continue to improve my skincare routine and diet to carry on my quest to clear skin and blemish free or at least down.

Growing up I always looked at celebrities with such elegence and beauty. I would kick myself ‘why wasn’t I born with this beauty?’ ‘Why can’t I have clear skin?’ ‘Why can’t I look gorgeous and glamourous with even makeup on?’

What I’ve learnt is the most powerful beauty secret or advise I could give is confidence.

This will be continued from me.

DOUBLE CLEANSE PEOPLE!

If you only cleanse once, then you might as well not of cleansed your skin at all.

The benefit of double cleansing is that the first cleanser will break down any makeup, remove dirt and excess oils from the day and clean your skin. The second cleanser will address your particular skin type or concern and should have ingredients to hydrate, smooth or exfoliate and better yet for my skin, treat acne.

Tonight, I started with a new cleanser I bought to try as I heard great reviews regarding the brand and that’s Caudalie. Instant Foaming cleanser, I heard great things and wanted something cleansing to remove my makeup after a day of work.

I had to use this three time to make sure all makeup residue was off my face. I think I had to use three times because I’ve never used this kind of cleanser to remove my makeup so I’ll try for future wash to not use so much product and just not be afraid of getting all areas.

I may say I am impressed, there was no fragrance to the product and it just made my skin feel so clean that I can see why most people don’t bother to cleanse twice.

I did however notice my skin got a little dry after the third time using it but again I’ll keep trying it just to see and get a feel for the formula in this product.

My second cleanser of course is Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. It’s a dreamy formula and pretty way of letting my skin soak in a product it is use to daily as a great way to finish cleansing.

After cleansing I used a Holika Holika Green Tea sheet mask which is great for hydration and soothing skin. I used my jade roller to get the product soaked more into skin and areas of my neck. The Holika Holika masks are really great due to always being full of product once opened you have so much left still in the packet I use with the roller to get more product on to the skin. It feels great.

After 20 minutes of the sheet mask, remove and gently use the product on your face to rub or roll it into the skin and I leave for a good 25 minutes before I continue my nighttime routine.

DR JART+ Shake & Shot

I’ve always wanted to try the rubber masks by Dr Jart+ but couldn’t justify £10 on one mask especially when not re-useable (maybe payday).

However ‘Look Fantastic’ had an offer so I bought the newest edition to the Dr JART+ collection and that was the shake and shot where your build the mask yourself. And wow I’m impressed and I’m doing this post whilst the mask is cooking on my face.

The step one sachet is a cream formula, step two is a watery formula and step 3 SHAKE! The shake doesn’t take long and I watched YouTube videos on this mask and they said you will feel the formulas change as if you know when it is done. I found that hard to believe but my goodness, I shaked it for a bit and it was watery at first then after a few shakes it changed! (Please cover the mouth of the face as that is a hole for the spatula)

I opened the lid (face) and I thought “oh that’s not a lot of product!” But it covered my entire face and I even doubled sometimes tripled in the more sensitive areas as I bought the soothing mask (There are four mask types, soothing, luminous, Elastic, Hydro).

Whilst I wait, I will prepare for my after mask post! Exciting!

Salicylic Acid.

The important ingredient our skin needs when suffering acne/breakouts/redness!

Always look for this ingredient as salicylic acid is highly anti-inflammatory and works miracles on calming down red, inflamed and 'angry' skin and it's also perfect for anyone that suffers with breakouts due to its potent acne-fighting properties that make it an ingredient in many of the best acne treatments.

I have been using the Nip + Fab salicylic serum and the photo is it on my skin. It is sticky but leave it on 5 minutes before you put on your moisturiser.

My routine:

Milky Jelly Cleanser (Glossier)

Sheet mask (any kind, I like a Holika Holika mask)

Salicylic Acid Toner (Nip + Fab)

Salicylic Acid Serum (Nip + Fab)

I use a cold jade roller to roll the serum so I get it all in the right places and the cold roller helps with the face mask to use all the product soak into the skin!

Then I moisturise!

Any other great salicylic acid serums or products to use please advise!
