🌟🐾 Happy World Baking Day! 🐾🌟 Today, let's celebrate the joy of baking not just for ourselves, but for our furry friends too! 🐶💕 While store-bought treats can be convenient, they often contain preservatives, additives, dyes, and fillers that may not be the best for your dog's health. Whether you're a seasoned chef or a novice in the kitchen, this homemade gluten-free peanut butter and pumpkin dog treat recipe is easy and sure to please your pup! 🥜🎃

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups gluten-free oat flour (you can make your own by grinding gluten-free oats in a food processor)

1/2 cup canned pumpkin (make sure it's pure pumpkin, not pie filling)

1/4 cup natural peanut butter (make sure it doesn't contain xylitol, which is harmful to dogs)

1/4 cup water

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix together the oat flour, pumpkin, peanut butter, and water until well combined. You can use a spoon or your hands to mix. Once the dough comes together, roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. If wanted, roll thinner to 1/8 inch thickness. You can use additional oat flour if the dough is too sticky.

Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes, or simply use a knife to cut the dough into squares or rectangles. Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm to the touch. Let the treats cool completely before giving them to your furry friend.

Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or in the freezer for longer shelf life. This recipe makes about 50 treats.
