I feel like I am outgrowing the internet. Not in a 'ohmygod I'm so old hey there fellow youth heehee' annoying way, but in a seasoned cowboy, weathered squint, dusty boots, 'been there, done that, kid' kinda way.

Here's to all the artists I followed online when I was younger, who had a huge influence on me, but haven't posted anything anywhere in years, are still out there somewhere making art and not abandoning their long term projects

I have exactly three pillars of my design ethos which are as follows: 1. There’s a time and place for everything  2. I make this look good 3. Watch me
All other ethos are pretentious, thank you, good day.

Absolutely have, a few times. I love the premise of a disgruntled, cynical psychic
I ALSO share a birthday with a plane crash that killed musicians - the crash that killed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper or 'the day the music died'. This feels important
duuuuuck, have you seen that one episode of x-files where they talk about that very same crash ???? it’s the one with the old man who’s able to foresee death (?)

tagged by @bebemoon to post 10 songs, all from different artists, that I’m currently obsessed with
Make Me Bad - Korn
Be Aggressive - Faith No More
Moon Baby - Godsmack
She and Mr Jones or Pop Goes the Evil - Lords of Acid (or the whole album VooDoo-U, gosh I love it.)
Immaculate Crucifixion - Juno Reactor
Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand - Primitive Radio Gods (Here because after two years my ‘name that song’ post on reddit was finally answered.)
Ratamahatta - Sepultura
A Hole in the Wall - KMFDM
Note: Currently is on a curve about 4 to 6 months; these are all songs that I either didn’t know or didn’t listen to as much prior to that time. Although certain winter songs have lessened in the rotation recently so I didn’t list those. I don’t tend to get sick of something quickly and conversely am not one to believe I always *have* to find something spanking new to listen to.*

Ten years ago I probably said, too much steampunk, but I’ve been feeling lately, not enough steampunk.

I recently discovered Lauren Faust, animator behind My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (which I design tees for at my job and think the designs/toys are cute but otherwise am not involved with) had an earlier project called Milkway and the Galaxy Girls. Which, for those who don’t know me, I adore a group of thematic cutesy fashionable girls who are preferably also doll lines. These had a limited run of plush dolls and you can find a lot of the artwork for it on her deviantart page as well as the website if you use internet archive. I found these there, they were free downloads for the site.

I posted this on my hush hush blog but I MEAN IT. Everytime I see a comment on Instagram acting like microtrends from 2 years ago are sooo dated I vomit.
I made what I thought was a satirical do not interact list but then I just listed things that actually really bother me about the current state of American pop and social culture. They're all kind of variations of the same thesis. So, I mean it! DNI!!!*
Do not interact if - you're really embarrassed by and act all ashamed of your past selves - you say cringe (by itself) a lot - you use aesthetic as a vague adjective ('aesthetic clothing') - you think 3 years ago is a long time ago and - think media has to be brand new to be ""relevant"" - you are under the age of 30/40/50 and say you're soo old especially when someone mentions some kind of pop culture reference from your childhood thereby reinforcing a culture that dismisses anyone over the age of like 24 - you make fun of those specific fonts everyone makes fun of ad nauseum because you think that's how to prove you have taste/know how to ~*design*~ and you feel very clever about it - you act really over offended for some reason when someone says they like Hawaiian pizza - you say rude things about music I like in a rude way out loud - you consciously care about fitting in (I know we all do it to some degree but I mean people who actually give this thought, like Patrick Bateman) - you judge someone's entire morality over what pop culture they like when said pop culture is in itself harmless/not a measure of goodness - you do/buy/consume things ""ironically"" because you're really either just making fun of people who genuinely enjoy those things to show off how superior you are or you do really enjoy it but you're so desperate to seem cool you don't want to admit you do. Get out of here!!!
*A lot of this is because I interact with this stuff on a regular basis so I just alienated all my coworkers. And, everyone possibly. Just unlearn some of this nonsense and then we'll talk ok?

How do I get "alternative" fashion and makeup companies to understand mainstream standards of beauty in a darker shade of lipstick isn't very punk rock of them.

On my main blog, I posted a post as the og poster and it got pretty popular, definitely my most popular post, and I have a compulsion to look at the blogs of whoever interacts with it and well I hope I never have a popular post again, it was a lot nicer here following 10 people I know I like in blissful ignorance and I’d really like to unsee a lot of these blogs.
