kinda whack but my friends and I are making a shera group chat on Instagram because we refuse to believe the show is over so this is my invitation to anyone who wants to be apart of it. ✨✨✨✨

When I was 12 I woke up one morning and i couldn’t hear out of my left ear. It was bleeding, hurting and pounding and once the bleeding stopped my hearing didn’t come back and it never will. I went to autology appointments and many many ENT appointments you name it I was there. Through my first years of adjusting to this I began to grow a fear that I would altogether loose my hearing since their was no sign of me losing my hearing before. Although I’m 16 now and I still worry. I was told by specialists I’m 100% not allowed to play sports just incase if I fell or got hit and I could completely loose all sound ( not the best when you’re literally the most clumsiest person in the world ). Although my fear has grown less as I spent more time with my Aunt who is profoundly deaf and she teaches me sign from time to time just incase one day I do wake up completely deaf.
So a badass character like Amaya on screen who is deaf using real ASL brings me to a happiness like no other and I even cry thinking about it because it’s just that amazing that there is animation teams out there like The Dragon Prince that just care so much for ALL their audience.
