Literary Drawlloween Prompt List 2023

After two years (or so?) without participating in any drawing events in October, this year I decided to create my very own prompt list!

For career purposes, I niched the list with the literary theme to explore spooky characters, wether they're from horror books or not. It is not a daily challenge because I really wanted to focus on quality over quantity this time.

Anyone is welcome to join in! Just remember to credit me and, if possible, tag or mention me so I can check your art as well <3 (my IG profile is written on the image).

1. Bia is the same character from the Sea Princesses TV series, but her first appearence was in the book mentioned. 2. Renascimento Sombrio is available on Amazon as an e-book. If you're curious you can see how Samel looks like (he's the ginger guy on the cover).

Fanart I had the honour to create for Brazilian fanpages Ghost Charts and Ghost Latamtour <3

They used it as icons and stickers they selled on Sep. 20 and 21 for fans in São Paulo, Brazil. All the amount collected will be donated to NGOs carefully chosen by them. I couldn't afford the tickets to the rituals, but I'm glad my art was able to represent me there :)

I've been pointedly refusing to use the term "content creators" to refer to artists anymore, because I want to make art for me and the people I care about, not the endless demands of the algorithm. I'm not trying to Produce Content, I want to make art.

So it is deeply, deeply irritating when I use the word "artist" in a post and it gets endlessly reblogged with people asking "but what about writers? but what about actors? but what about musicians? but what about [x]?"

All types of art are included in the term "artist," god damn it. "Artist" does not just mean "someone who draws pictures."
