Our kittens & their mama, Monkey

The kittens don’t have names yet but there is 1 girl (the one in the basket & in the back of the photo of the two in the bed) and one boy (the one in the front of the two in the bed)

The photo of Monkey was taken back in February when she first showed up at our house. We couldn’t take her in because we knew she had kittens somewhere, and they came up about a month later in March. They are all inside cats now and all very healthy, the female kitten does have some allergies though.

After about a month inside the kittens are now starting to be very open to handling and being petted, the boy more so than the girl.

I’ll probably post about them more later but I just wanted to share this cute little family we took in 💖

Hi, I own a lot of plants and here’s one of them, my big ol boi that my grandma gave me

The holes in the leaves are from her cat trying to eat it, not pest by the way. She gave it to me because her kitten thought it was a treat and she didn’t want the plant to die

For anyone wondering it’s a golden pothos, it’s had at least 3-4 new leaves come in since I got it at the end of November, & it’s really good at letting me know when it needs water

I’ll try to post my other plants sometimes too 💕🌱

I’ve been looking for a good meatloaf recipe so now I shall try the Revenge Meatloaf

When I was little my mom’s meatloaf was my favorite food. But ONLY her meatloaf. I didn’t like anyone else’s, and she told me that she would teach me how to make it when I was older. And when I was like 19? She finally taught me, but she told me never to tell anyone else and I was like weird but okay

Anyway, she was super fucking homophobic and abusive to me when I told her I was gay, so here’s the recipe

4-6 lbs of Hamburger/turkey burger

1 pk onion soup mix OR ranch mix

1 TBs ketchup

1 Tbs spicy brown mustard,

1 Tbs bbq sauce

1 Tbs steak sauce

1 egg

mix, shape into a loaf in a big pan, and bake at 350 for 2 hrs (maybe 2 and a half if you’re feeling dangerous)

You can get almost all of these ingredients at the dollar store, and have leftovers if it’s just you. The leftovers make great tacos if (taco seasoning is also like a dollar). Enjoy your revenge loaf

wanna hear a wild story? my brother’s history professor is closing in on 80 and basically lives at the university. one night my brother visited him for a meeting, and it came up that my brother was gonna be performing as a court jester at the castle the following day. and his professor busts out: “ah, that reminds me of my youth!”

he then proceeded to tell the tale of when he and his friends went backpacking to greece back in their early 20s. then one day they found themselves completely penniless. so they decided that the only reasonable thing to do was to set up acrobatic shows in skimpy outfits on the beach at day, and then drink up the money at night.

after a week or so they gained some traction, and a gang of young greek men walked up to them like “hey y’all are cool as hell, can we join y’all for drinks tonight?” and my brother’s professor was like “of course! y’all have to wear these revealing outfits and do somersaults with us tho” and the greek gang said “sounds dope. y’all are invited to live with us for however long y’all want.”

anyhow, they proceeded to live like this for the better part of 3 months, doing shows, drinking, and sleeping at the greek gang’s apartment. but after a while they decided enough was enough, and said thank you for everything, but we’re going back to sweden now. and the greeks said “sure! love y’all have a safe trip xx”

half a year later my brother’s professor gets contacted by the greek police. they ask him about the months they spent in greece, and then informs him that their greek friends have been convicted of serial homicide and robbery. that the group of young greek men had joined up with several tourist groups for several years “for drinks”, and then killed and robbed them all, terrorising the beach city for several years. with one exception, of course, because “this one group of swedish acrobats in slutty strongman suits were just ‘so damn nice’”.

and that’s the story of how one swedish history university professor survived sharing a flat with a group of serial killers for several months by performing acrobatics in slutty outfits on the beach. moral of the story? be kind of heart, thicc of ass.

I’m currently learning German & decided it might be fun to post a German word or phrase every so often from my lessons that I like!

Also for those of you who don’t know my family has extremely strong German heritage, but the last person who grew up learning and speaking German was my great grandfather. I’m wanting to bring it back into the family, and while it may be a slow process I’m getting there!

I’ve found so far I’m picking it up rather quickly, much quicker than I did Spanish or any other language. Has anyone else had that happen with a language?
