So I have been living by the quote “Hurry up and Wait!” recently. I hate waiting, I am a very impatient person. Sometimes in life you have to do things you suck at to suck at them less, whether by choice or by necessity. In the weight room, it is by choice. However in this case it is by necessity. Just remember that patience is a virtue and one of the keys to success in any endeavor. Happy Monday Y’all!!! 🔥🔥🔥 So most people know it is important to hit every muscle so imbalances aren’t created. But there are multiple muscles inside main muscle groups, such as calves. Did you know inside your calves there are two muscles? One of them is activated when your knee is bent and the other is activated when your knee is straight. That is why both the standing and seated calf raises are necessary in order to have well rounded calves. - The two muscles in the calf are the Gastrocnemius and the Soleus. The Gastrocnemius is activated when your leg is straight. The Soleus muscle is activated when your leg is bent. The Gastrocnemius is the muscle that is visible on the back of your calf while the Soleus lies deeper in your leg and cannot be seen usually. PSA!!! Make sure to work your fingers to keep them healthy and strong💪🏻 You gotta work all 3 joints on each finger or you’re going to have imbalances! Imbalances = not good. Make sure to get that finger burn going by doing these passive finger curls with active extensions😤💪🏻 (use your other hand to bend your fingers, extend them with no help) i do 10 reps on each joint! it’s a great way to build up those phalanges🔥 if you don’t feel the burn, try cutting 3 tendons and getting tendon repair surgery. My Question is: why would they have a picture of dead flowers in a hospital room? This is not uplifting or positive in any shape or form. - No matter what is going on around you, you can choose to be positive. No matter your circumstance or the obstacles in your way, you can choose to be courageous and move forward. Yes Life is hard and it can be tough sometimes. It’s gonna be sad but you can’t stay in those sad moments. You have to move forward and be positive because that’s the only way life is worth living. - Since I can’t workout at the moment this is the best post I got (sorry). While I was waiting to get surgery I was lying in bed with this picture in the room next to me. The second I looked at it, I thought that it was an extremely dumb painting to have in a hospital. I chose to ignore it and watch tv instead. Fastest way to lose weight is to stop eating all together! I fasted for 28 hours yesterday, from 7pm on Thursday to 11 pm on Friday night (not by choice, doctors orders). But I’m sure I lost some weight! • Definitely ease into fasting if you’re going to try it but I think fasting is a great tool if you are trying to lose weight. Fasting for 16 hours is my ideal time. Benefits: 1) You will get stronger 2) You will burn a lot of calories (you get to more throughout the day) 3) You will have better coordination Who doesn’t want all of those things? Lifting heavy everyday is not safe or productive because Rest is necessary. 1-3 days a week of heavy lifting is sufficient depending on your program.
