🎶 Whoa, Blackberry (Bam-ba-lam), Whoa, Blackberry (Bam-ba-lam), Blackberry made a pie (Bam-ba-lam), The damn thing gone wild (Bam-ba-lam)! 🖤 Blackberry Crisp Cheesecake Pie with Lemon Snap Cookie Crust 🥧 I have been waiting all summer to make this! After getting inspired by the healthy Blackberry Crisp recipe from @healthecooks, I wanted to develop my own rendition and incorporate it into an ultimate summer dessert. A favorite ingredient I like to use for my tart or pie crusts are cookies from @sweetzelscookies. For this beauty, I used their Lemon Snaps that have a light citrus essence and a delightful crunch. And for the base layer, I made my signature ricotta cheesecake flavored with fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. The finishing touches were a layer of sweet and juicy sugared blackberries and a cinnamon sugar oatmeal streusel topping. 🎶 "Somewhere beyond the sea, somewhere waiting for me..." A big gay thank you to my summertime girlfriend, Hayley @haybeats, and her boyfriend, Luke, for an awesome birthday outing in downtown Easton, PA! It was so fun romping around town and popping Luke's Easton cherry 🏙️🍒 Our tour wrapped up by enjoying an alfresco meal at @ocean235 in their alleyway oasis 🌿🌺 What a beautiful and serene concept for an outside seating area. We felt like we were transported out of our city surroundings while enjoying our deliciously fresh seafood entrées and short rib spring rolls. Baltimore foodie adventures! 😋 This past weekend I got the opportunity to visit my friend Ryan @christopher_ryan24 and romp around Baltimore, MD for the first time. As part of our adventures before and after the National Aquarium @nationalaquarium, Ryan brought me to Belvedere Square Market @bsqbaltimore which is a collection of amazing eateries. It is a foodie's paradise! In the morning we enjoyed a light breakfast from @atwatersfood and later in the afternoon we went back for a late lunch from Ejji Ramen. Both were phenomenal! I highly recommend that you make a stop here if you find yourself traveling around the Baltimore area. There are so many delicious places to choose from and not enough room in your belly to try them all...at least not all at once...but challenge accepted 😜🤤 I think the best meal I had during my visit was the one Ryan made me for dinner...Spiced Coconut Chicken Rice 🤩🌶️🥥🐔🍚 Ryan adapted his own version of the recipe from @bonappetitmag and my gosh my taste buds were doing backflips! I am extremely grateful he let me help prepare the meal so that I can make it for myself in the near future! I hope you have a slice day! 🍕😋 Semi-Homemade Breakfast Pizza | cauliflower crust three-cheese pizza, sunny-side up eggs, chopped spinach, Roma tomatoes, and rosemary 🍕🍳🤤 One of my absolute favorite go-to foods to include in my weekly cheat meal are Mama Cozzi's Cauliflower Crust Pizzas from @aldiusa. They are super tasty and make for a healthier, gluten free main dish. This past weekend I wanted to do a spin on a breakfast-inspired cheat meal, but still enjoy one of these pizzas. I sliced up Roma tomatoes and fresh spinach, sprinkled on some dried rosemary, and added a bunch of sunny-side up eggs. I will definitely be repeating this again because my goodness it was delicious! Edit, edit, edit! 📸💻 Before & After of Boiled Milk & Chocolate Cake When photographing food, post-production editing is fundamental! As part of a freelance project for the company Universal Yums, they sent me a box of their Russian inspired treats, this Boiled Milk & Chocolate Cake being one of them. Although the raw photo came out pretty decently, it needed to be elevated to make this cake treat even more enticing. With a handful of simple edits made in @photoshop and @lightroom, this dessert went from being off the rack to a haute couture runway!
