SOMETHING BROKE: HOW OUR WORLD ENDED PROLOGUE
*Note that this isn’t a final version, and stuff may change in the future. Any feedback is appreciated!
The sun bulged, bleeding beams of immeasurable heat. It flew towards the skyscrapers, burning, shredding, engulfing the earth as it was. The sun's furious rage flew into the large grassy fields that surrounded the city.
As if knocked out, the beams halted. At the edge of the fiery destruction sat a man in a black cloak, a white spiral shooting up from the rim to the waist. His eyes were hollow with no apparent pupils, only inky darkness in two sockets. His dark face soaked in the heat as a faint smile grazed his face. He took a seat, stretching his wide arms. He reached his hands to his face, the smile turning to a slight frown. His hands were bare, the bones nearly visible through the skin. He let his wrist relax and his hand go limp.
All of a sudden, a powerful burst of wind blasted the man's cloak. It rattled in the wind as he lightly clenched the grass he sat on. The man sighed. He turned to face the one who had appeared with the wind, a man with a white cloak, a similar spiral to the hollow eyed man lashed up to the new arrivals waist; however, his spiral was green to compliment his eyes.
“I assumed you would arrive, Asteri,” The hollow eyed man boomed.
“You must have let me come here for a reason, correct?” Asteri questioned.
“Sit with me, Asteri.”
Asteri followed the man's command, planting his stiff body beside him.
“Is it not beautiful?”
Asteri looked out to the twisted flames mere feet from him. He frowned, tilting his head to look above at the exploding star above.
“In a twisted way I suppose. Though, you are starting to sound like Amartalos.” The black cloaked man shrugged.
Asteri shook his head before continuing. “So, why did you let me come here? I thought you would just send the souls on their way and join Celu in the heavens.”
“No Asteri, I have no intentions of doing that. But I did allow you to be here for a reason.”
Asteri cocked his head, his green eyes glowed brightly, his pupils wide with surprise.
“I intend to go down with this world, as my purpose here has been served. And I would like to know if you wish to indulge in the ending of this world.”
Asteri recoiled starkly, nearly pushing himself into the frozen fire.
“What?!”
The man nodded, “It is your choice.”
Asteri glared at the cloaked man, a twinge of envy came from his speech. “Why? You’re a god, they all love you. Why would you want to die like this?”
The cloaked man sighed deeply.
“May I confess something?”
Asteri nodded.
“I believe I experienced something I was never meant to see- Let alone remember.”
“What happened?”
The black cloaked man stood clearing his throat.
“Many, many millennia ago, this world was born, but it was not the first. I remember a world just like this one, but there was a human in that world who made a drastic mistake.”
Asteri joined him in standing, somberly but curiously listening.
“This human was desperate, as many of them are at the end of the line. However, when I went to collect the human’s soul, something was wrong. I went to approach, but—”
The cloaked man paused.
“Something broke. And then, it all began again.”

It’s actually writing time, here’s some overview lore for my universe. I call it the Souls Collide universe, as that was the first story I ever convinced in this world!
Soul - A soul is a person's very being. Souls are the life of the universe. Every human being has a soul, and it keeps them alive. If they were to be fatality wounded, their soul would pass on. There are many variety’s of souls, and they can be determined by eye color.
Soul Powers - If a person is one of a very luck few, they can be born with a soul power. Each type of soul has a power linked to it. For an example, the protagonist of my current project, How Our World Ended, has a light blue soul. This allows him to summon and manipulate ice!
Soulless - If a person perishes, and they are overcome with an immense negative emotion, they can deny death itself. If this happens, their energy reforms as a soulless. A soulless is a rabies animalistic creature with but one goal: get a soul. If they are unsuccessful in their quest, and avoid being killed, the creatures can develop over time. If enough time passes, they can act human. Their appearance also develops to look more humanoid, but with a gray complexion and some inhuman features ( I.E, a design I have has wings )

The phantom menace is pretty good, I just saw it in theaters. The duel of fates is such a goated fight, and I don’t really see why this movie gets that much hate. Overall, I really liked this, and I’m surprised at how enjoyable it was for a second watch.

I was gonna keep these posts serious, but eh I’m just gonna post whatever.
That being said DAMN the rap scene has been crazy. When Like That dropped, I must admit, I thought it was stupid. But when shit started getting serious, I got invested HARD. Plus, this is giving us a LOT of new Kendrick, so win win. Here’s a random ranking of the songs
10. Taylor made freestyle - It uses AI vocals that not only sound like shit, but disrespect a dead person
9. This one’s gonna be controversial, but I gotta put the heart part 6 - This song was such a trash ass respone to meet the grahams. It was saying “ nu uh “ to some SERIOUS accusations, and in a way that gave us no reason to believe it
8. 6:16 in LA - I like this song, it just didn’t leave much of an impact. It’s good though.
7. 7 minute drill - I gotta admit, this song as a diss is WEAK, even more so considering Cole apologized. That being said, the song kinda slaps. The beat switch with the “ Conductor “ is really cool.
6. - Push Ups - This song was a really good comeback to Like That: it called out Kendrick for being slow on responses, and had some good disses ( I.E the drums diss )
5. - Like That - Like that is REALLY good. The beef starter itself, it had some HARD disses ( the big three line ) while bringing Kendrick back into the spotlight. It’s a really good song
4. - Family Matters - Despite this song getting HEAVILY overshadowed by a certain drop, Family matters is a BRUTAL diss. There are some serious allegations here aswell, and the song just sounds good overall. Plus, the music video referencing GKMC was cool.
3. Not Like Us - A crazy follow up to an even crazier diss. Not like us is a jammer that hammers on some allegations that people looked over. It’s a really good song
2. Euphoria - Euphoria was CRAZY. The slow start switching into that insane beat, the disses at Drakes parenting, and the pure levels of HATING in this song elevate it. Like, this level of hating is BEYOND me.
1. Meet the Grahams - Jesus… this song is insane. Kendrick reveals some crazy shit over an evil beat. Euphoria may have been pure hating, but this song showed us *why.* It is brutal while still managing to sound fantastic, and for that it is my favorite.
