I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but the way that you colour/paint your art is so pretty, do you have any tips on how to colour/paint for someone just doing their best?

honestly, I do still consider myself to be among the "just doing their best" group but if there's any tips to share that I found personally very helpful, it'd probably be these: - contrasting warm light with a cool-toned shadow and vice versa is an easy way to make the colors and painting more striking - start with a big brush and zoom out of the piece before going into details with smaller brushes later - addendum to the second point but, it's okay to also leave areas of a painting less rendered than others - human eye usually seeks out the face and well-lit portions first so I try to make sure those are the sharpest, so to speak hope that helps if any way! if there's anything more specific you'd like me to elaborate on, just ask •⩊•
