How Ivy’s crushes came to be

Jake – Enhypen

These two first met each other when Ateez and Enhypen were promoting at the same time. Both groups were awaiting the results of the M Countdown charts. Ivy nervously played with her fingers, lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, Wooyoung slapped her hands, causing her to be startled. Annoyed, she eyed him up and down, feeling judgmental. How could one person trigger her so much?

"Hey, don't give me that look. Your nervousness is making me feel sick," Wooyoung said with a grin, shoving Ivy by her shoulders. He used too much force, causing her to stumble into someone. A look of horror took over Ivy's face as she realized she had accidentally bumped into an innocent bystander who had nothing to do with Wooyoung's annoyance towards her.

She quickly turned around and bowed deeply, feeling deeply embarrassed. Whenever Ivy was nervous or anxious, she tended to ramble in English, with all her Korean escaping her in situations like these.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I hope you're okay!" she babbled.

A warm hand on her shoulder interrupted her mumbling and made her look up. When her eyes finally focused on the person in front of her, Ivy was once again shocked. It was a beautiful blond man with the kindest smile and the most captivating eyes she had ever seen.

Although his lips were moving, Ivy couldn't hear his words. She was completely starstruck. The girl kept staring at him, and he seemed concerned by her lack of response. He began to move his hand up and down on her shoulder in a comforting manner.

That snapped Ivy out of her trance-like state. "S-Sorry, what did you say?" she asked, still relying on English sentences, hoping the breathtaking stranger could understand her.

He smiled brightly, his eyes sparkling. "I said my name is Jake. Well, technically, I said, 'No, don't worry, it's okay, everything's alright.' But then I also introduced myself!"

His voice, combined with his sexy Australian accent, made Ivy feel infatuated with this stranger. No longer a stranger, his name was Jake. She loved it.

Ivy quickly regained her composure and responded coolly (she wasn't sure how she managed to come across so relaxed), "I'm Ivy. And again, I'm really sorry. I feel terrible. My lovely team member thought it would be a good idea to push me. So, technically, it's his fault, not mine."

Once again, she started rambling, which made Jake laugh. Before they could exchange any more words, both of them were scolded by their respective leaders. Hongjoong had already been glaring at Ivy when she and Wooyoung were misbehaving, but he became even more irritated with her when she seemed infatuated with Jake in front of their seniors and the whole camera crew.

On the other hand, Jungwon found it quite amusing how the two stumbled over their words, clearly finding each other cute. Heeseung, however, was more concerned about their group's image, especially for Jake, and worried about how it would be perceived.

Hongjoong stepped behind his group, hiding from any spectators, and grabbed Ivy's wrist. The way he touched her made it clear that he wasn't happy. To avoid arousing suspicion, the leader put his arm around her shoulders and began swaying with her to their song. Yes, they had won, and Ivy hadn't even realized it. She felt quite terrible about that. Hongjoong gave her one last sour glare before leaving to celebrate with Seonghwa.

As Enhypen bowed to their seniors, Ivy couldn't help but smile at Jake and his handsome face. She waved at him and thanked him for cheering for Ateez, which caused him to blush.

Both awkwardly stepped away from each other, with Enhypen leaving the stage and Ateez staying for their encore.

San approached Ivy and hugged her from the side. It wasn't to celebrate with her but rather to tease her. "You're so in love, and it's disgusting," he said.

Ivy resisted the urge to punch him, knowing that Hongjoong was already mad at her. But yes, San wasn't entirely wrong. She might not be in love yet, but she had definitely developed a major crush on Jake that day.

DK – iKon

It all began when Kingdom started, and both iKon and Ateez participated. Ivy had grown up listening to their music and was always a big fan of the group. However, she had never seen them perform live before, so she was incredibly excited when she learned they would be taking part in the competition.

Now, you might be wondering who Ivy's bias is, right? Well, she had never really given it much thought because she found all the members cute in their own way. However, she had always had a soft spot for Bobby.

But everything changed during Kingdom. Although she still loved watching Bobby and his captivating performances, her focus shifted slightly towards another member, DK.

During their first performance on the Kingdom stage, Ivy, along with the Ateez boys, was mesmerized by DK's voice and the way he moved his body so effortlessly, with a perfect balance of control and coolness. It was impossible for her not to be captivated by him.

"Wow, Bobby sunbaenim is so savage," Wooyoung exclaimed into Ivy's ear. She nodded, silently agreeing with her friend.

Of course, Bobby dominated the stage with his incredible presence, but Ivy's attention was solely on DK. She had never really thought of him as sexy or attractive, not because he wasn't, but because when she had first gotten into iKon, she was a pre-teen who didn't care much about appearances. She simply found all six members cute.

But now, as an adult working in the same industry, Ivy noticed things about him (and all of them in general) that she hadn't before.

After iKon's performance, the boys thanked the other teams for their applause and bowed deeply. Ivy jumped up, clapping her hands and cheering for her idols.

Unbeknownst to her, she was the only one giving them a standing ovation, and the iKon members took notice.

Bobby was the first to spot her, and he laughed at her adorable enthusiasm, his eye smile in full display. He nudged DK and pointed towards Ivy, with the latter also smiling at the girl.

"Bro, how cute is she?" Bobby waved at her and bowed in her direction, showing his appreciation.

As soon as Ivy realized she was the only one standing, she turned red and hastily sat back down. She buried her face in Wooyoung's shoulder while he laughed at her predicament.

To relieve her embarrassment, DK lifted the microphone to his lips. "Dear Ivy, thank you for being such a huge supporter of iKon! We hear and see you. Thank you," he said, bowing once again in her direction and flashing a beautiful smile afterwards.

That made Ivy's heart flutter. He knew her. How?

San noticed her flustered state and pinched her cheeks. "So, I guess DK sunbaenim is your bias, huh?" Ivy shot him a glare. "Whoa, don't be mad at me. I get it. He's handsome!"

But Ivy had already tuned out of the conversation, allowing her eyes to follow the charming singer. Her stares were so obvious that DK saw her and decided to smile and wave at her again. It was both exciting and embarrassing for her, leaving her feeling exposed. For the rest of the show, she kept her gaze fixed on her lap.

After the cameras were turned off, all the groups stayed back and mingled with each other. Some of them were already acquainted, but others still needed to meet members from different groups. Ateez was in a socializing mood and immediately walked over to Stray Kids.

Although Ivy didn't feel like talking to anyone, Felix placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and struck up a conversation with her.

They talked about various topics, and Ivy realized how delightful Felix was and how much she enjoyed talking to him. He had a calming presence that made her feel at ease, gradually erasing her embarrassment.

"Felix, why can't you be in our group? Can we just trade you for Wooyoung?" she jokingly remarked.

This made the Australian laugh, as he also contemplated the idea of swapping one of his members (probably Han) for Ivy.

A brief silence fell between them, and Felix contemplated whether he should ask her about DK and their interaction. He knew it might make her uncomfortable, but he couldn't help his curiosity.

"Noona... I have a question. I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, but I have to know," Felix finally mustered the courage to ask.

Ivy nodded, looking at him curiously. "You and DK sunbaenim... Is there something between you?"

The question caught Ivy off guard, and she almost choked on her saliva. "No! I mean, no, of course not. How? He is THE DK, and I'm... just me. He is way out of my league. It's just a little crush, I guess."

Suddenly, Felix's eyes widened, and the color drained from his face. He awkwardly cleared his throat and rubbed his neck, feeling uncomfortable. Why was he feeling weird when he was the one asking the strange question?

"So, DK is the one, huh?" Ivy heard a voice behind her. Once again, her face reddened, and she wished she could disappear in that moment.

"I understand, he's attractive. But don't let him know I said that," the voice came closer, and June stood beside Felix and Ivy. He wore his usual friendly smile, radiating positive energy.

Ivy avoided making eye contact and stared down at her shoes. They were pretty, which gave her a legitimate excuse to focus on them. June giggled softly at her reaction and engaged Felix in a conversation, but Ivy wasn't paying attention.

She only snapped back to reality when their sunbaenim informed Felix that it was time for him to return to his group. It was also at that moment that she glanced at the singer.

"Whenever you go solo, make sure to let me know. Maybe we can collaborate," he said, turning around. But before he left, he added, "And Ivy, honestly, just shoot your shot with DK. He's a good guy, and he thinks you're cute, if that helps."

Kevin – The Boyz

Ivy and Kevin had a special bond ever since she became a trainee. As fellow Canadians in the industry, they formed a tight-knit group with Jacob, exchanging numbers and offering support to one another. Over time, Ivy's platonic love for both Jacob and Kevin deepened, but her feelings for Kevin took a more serious turn.

During the challenging period after her debut, Ivy faced harsh criticism and negativity from the media. Her talent was often overlooked, with focus instead placed on her body and being the only girl in the group. In the midst of this turmoil, Kevin stood as her biggest supporter. He witnessed her losing her spark and succumbing to the pressures, and it pained him deeply.

Determined to lift Ivy's spirits, Kevin made it his mission to be there for her. He checked on her regularly, through personal visits and daily FaceTime calls, becoming a constant source of comfort and understanding. What started as a support system gradually evolved into something more, as their connection grew stronger.

Their FaceTime dates turned into outings at local cafés and sleepovers, and they found themselves spending almost every moment together. They would even visit each other at practice just to be close. The transition was swift, and they didn't fully realize the depth of their relationship, but others around them started to take notice.

One day, as Ivy visited Kevin at practice, their affectionate interactions caught the attention of Sangyeon, The Boyz's leader. Concerned about the upcoming debut and the need for focus, Sangyeon decided to have a conversation with Ivy. He approached her in the hallway, expressing his respect for her and her place in their circle.

Sangyeon explained his perspective, asking Ivy to respect The Boyz's hard work and limit her visits to their practices. He believed she was distracting Kevin, and he wanted their debut to proceed without any hindrances. Ivy was taken aback by the assumption that something romantic was happening between her and Kevin, but it made her question her own feelings.

As Ivy denied any romantic involvement, Sangyeon urged her to stay away from Kevin for the sake of their debut. This revelation hurt Ivy deeply, realizing that she might be in love with her best friend. Despite the pain, she agreed to distance herself, attributing it to her busy schedule. She knew it would hurt Kevin, but she believed it was the right thing to do.

From that day forward, Ivy kept her distance from Kevin, avoiding any interactions and using her schedule as an excuse. It was a bittersweet decision, as she had fallen in love with her best friend, but she accepted that they could never be together. It was a sacrifice she made for the sake of their careers and the success of The Boyz's debut.

Ateez's 9th member: Ivy's crushes (from most recent to "longest" crush)

Jake - Enhypen (since late 2022):

She knows this might be frowned upon because he is younger than her, but there is something about him that makes her heart skip a beat. They haven’t officially met yet but they have exchanged some flirty glances and smiles – they find each other pretty attractive. She might try to work on their relationship, but it’s not her top priority.

DK - Ikon (since 2021):

Ivy has no clue why she is so attracted to him. Obviously he is very good looking but even during Kingdom he has not even once looked in her direction which kind of hurt her (although he most probably hasn’t even noticed her stares). Bobby and Song have caught her glancing at him quite a lot which she finds embarrassing but she secretly hopes that they will tell DK about it and maybe encourage him to talk to her. Ivy is really intrigued and wants to try to establish some sort of relationship.

Kevin - The Boyz (since 2019):

Uhm yes… Kevin is her best friend but she might also have a crush on him. Jacob knows about this and really wants Ivy to make a move but due to her not wanting to ruin their friendship and a talk she had with Sangyeon (he basically told her to please not distract Kevin too much which she took the complete wrong way) she holds back and tries to tell herself that Kevin is JUST a friend.

Ateez's 9th member: Ivy's friends outside of the group

Chan, Changbin and Felix (Stray Kids):

Although she gets along well with all of the Stray Kids members, these three have a special place in her heart. She got to know them through Kingdom but has met them prior to that as well.

Ivy remembers Chan always greeting her so friendly whenever they ran into each other and how he always seems so genuinely interested when asking her how she is doing and if everything is going well. Little things like these made her appreciate him a lot and see him as a true friend.

With Changbin it’s different. She knew him way before Kingdom due to Wooyoung being his best friend. These two are the reason the poor girl has grey hair. Whenever Changbin visited, Wooyoung and him made it their mission to annoy Ivy, which they succeeded in. Although she loves Changbin just as much as Wooyoung, she told Chris all about his behavior which he got scolded for by the rest of Stray Kids – oops.

Felix is an angel. His gentle being is what has Ivy whipped for this boy (in a total platonic way). Whenever she needs to unwind and relax, she loves talking or hanging out with Felix. He makes her feel so happy and loved, she doesn’t know how he does it but he always manages to bring some sunlight in her sometimes so dark and cloudy world.

Kevin and Jacob (The Boyz):

Not only are they both Canadian but they both share some similarities with the poison princess.

Kevin is so sassy and sarcastic; Ivy loves how well he keeps up with her mood swings and short-tempered outbursts. He outsasses her and makes sure that she gets her act together – which she is super thankful for.

Jacob on the other hand, like Felix, is the one that brings her calmness and shines sunlight through the thick dark clouds in her head. She is mesmerized by how easy it is for him to stay calm whenever she is mad and seems to know exactly how to calm her down. To her, Jacob is the angel on her left shoulder and Kevin is the angel disguised as the devil on her right.

Peniel and Eungkwan (BTOB):

She wouldn’t really consider them friends but more as family. Ivy surprisingly got very close with these two as they showed her so much support during her hardships in Kingdom. They always had nice words for her that gave her the push she needed.

Peniel sees Ivy as his little sister – he hasn’t seen his family in so long but Ivy weirdly feels like she is a part of that close circle and he appreciates that. She is like a little fairy to him that needs a lot of protection.

Eungkwan is smitten with the tiny but icy human being. To him she is much more than she gives herself credit for which is why he always make sure to praise her for the things she does. It hurts him how low she tends to think of herself – he made it his mission to always cheer her up and push her ego just the right amount.

Dino (Seventeen):

Funny enough, Ivy used to be a student at his dad’s dancing school and basically grew up with Dino. They have a cute friendship and are often seen having random dance-offs in the corner of whichever venue they are at. Although Dino could easily outdance Ivy, he always makes sure to let her win their random challenges. Dino is also the first to offer helping her whenever she is stuck with a choreography. And even though he doesn’t really know the choreographies most of the time (cause they are created by Ateez before a comeback, duh), he would learn any dance for Ivy in order to help her out. Carats also always keep an eye out for her at concerts because it is not rare to see Ivy and Dino’s dad dancing somewhere in the crowd showing support to their favorite maknae (sorry Jongho).

People Ivy wants to get close with:

Mark (NCT): Ivy has made eye-contact with him a few times and he always smiled her way but besides blushing and some awkward stares, nothing has happened between them.

Hwiyoung and Taeyang (SF9): When she saw their performances on the Kingdom stage she was mesmerized. To Ivy they are so god-like and ethereal, she does not dare even looking their way. She respects them so much, she feels like she would bother them if she ever tried starting a conversation. If only she knew that Hwiyoung is a big fan of her and always talks about her talents to the others (which also has the rest of SF9 intrigued).

Youngji (soloist): Ivy just really wants to get close to Youngji as she thinks they would get along perfectly. She just adores her. Periodt. (She also might want to get drunk with her but you didn’t hear that from me).

Bobby (Ikon): He must be the cutest idol Ivy has ever laid her eyes on. To her Bobby is so adorable but she also admires how he performs on stage. His rap is something that Ivy wishes she could just copy and paste cause it’s just SO GOOD. She loves Bobby and gets only positive vibes of him which is why she wants to get close with him.

Ateez's 9th member: Ivy's relationship with the boys

Hongjoong:

For him it was hard to have yet another member join the group. He knew her from running into her in the practice rooms and he was very friendly with her, it was just a lot of pressure on him already and he felt like she added to that. But soon he realized that he can rely on her and that she always has his back. Nowadays they can often be seen hanging out in the recording studio where Ivy tries her best to be his mental support while he produces yet another bop and Hongjoong is very thankful for that. He trusts her and always needs her opinion on everything. Although she is a cute girl in his eyes he knows that she is awfully honest – which is a blessing and a curse, based on his mood. She easily became one of his best friends and co-leader.

Seonghwa:

When Seonghwa heard that a new person, a girl, would be joining the group he was so worried. Not for the boys but for Ivy. Will she feel comfortable? Are the boys gonna behave? Does she need her own room? What do you feed her? There are also a lot of books in his room that concern women and what they say vs. what they actually mean, because he wanted to do everything in his power to make her feel at home. He even bought her stuffed animals and flowers for her first day at the dorm. Seonghwa is like a mom to her but he is also the one she goes to whenever she is struggling with herself. He is always there for her just as she is always there for him. True soulmates.

Yunho:

He was so STOKED for another member to join their family. Yunho adored Ivy right away and although he was a little shy at first, he tried showing her affection through actions. For example, he always made sure that she could go to the bathroom first and that the boys were always dressed. He also found out about her favorite snacks and made sure that either him or the boys bought them for her. Ivy noticed all that and rewarded him with her amazing cuddles. When she first started with their daily cuddle sessions, he would blush and be super stiff. But nowadays it’s a ball of limbs when they lay on the couch and giggle like little school girls. Sometimes Seonghwa worries that Yunho thinks Ivy is a ragdoll that he can just throw around (he carries her a lot due to their height difference) but Yunho really is a gentle giant.

Yeosang:

Ivy and him have a special relationship. They couldn’t be more different and yet they get along so well. She sees sides of him that she has never seen before and she sees things in him that he has never seen before himself. Their friendship thrives off making each other feel comfortable and confident. Whenever Yeosang is feeling down about himself, Ivy is right there to give him the confidence boosts he needs and vice versa. She is also the first to stand up to rude people that try to tear her beloved Yeosang down – no one is allowed to mess with him besides Wooyoung. Yeosang admires her positive and outgoing personality and is the most thankful for her being part of the group. Their friendship is seriously so precious.

San:

Another one that shares a very special bond with Ivy. Both suffer from constant self-doubts and worries about their looks. While for San it’s his own thoughts that tear him down, for Ivy it’s the constant reminder of the public and netizens that she is not a picture-perfect idol. Although these two are usually a great pair and share the same struggles, they also clash the most and argue quite frequently. It’s never out of spite or just to hurt the other – Ivy has a short temper and when San talks himself down and insults himself, Ivy gets really mad and protective. She doesn’t allow him talking about himself in such a negative way and due to her short temper she can’t discuss such matters calmly and San takes offense to that. But as quickly as the situation might escalate it gets resolved as quickly and they go back to being best friends.

Mingi:

He reminds her so much of her little brother. That’s why Mingi is constantly babied by her. She adores this giant so much and always makes sure that he has everything he needs and is happy. Ivy was actually the one who pushed Mingi to go on hiatus. She witnessed how much his mental health suffered and she was so worried about him. She accompanied him to every doctor’s appointment and visited him at his family home frequently. This led to his mom basically adopting Ivy as her family lives in Canada and she doesn’t get to see them often. They definitely share a brother-sister bond.

Wooyoung:

They are a very special duo; they annoy each other to the point they want to strangle each other but they also could never live without the other person. Staff and the other members lovingly call them “Tom and Jerry” (and you bet they argue over who Tom and who Jerry is because they are petty like that). Ivy knows that she can rely on Wooyoung though and that he always has her back – no matter how many times he annoys and teases her. Wooyoung also knows that Ivy is a special person that he truly treasures. He especially appreciates how patient Ivy is with him. Although they argue a lot, it takes her short-tempered self a long time to get mad at Wooyoung. She loves him a lot.

Jongho:

Ivy is Jongho’s biggest fan. Whenever he sings, Ivy is sitting front-row if she doesn’t have to perform with him. She is mesmerized by his talent and would give everything to be able to sing like him. Singing is her weakest link hence why she envies Jongho – he makes everything seem so easy. Jongho knows about her struggles and always makes sure to give her extra vocal lessons and helps her improve her skills. Although Ivy is not a top-tier vocalist, Jongho is her hype boy. Once she performed on The Masked Singer and you bet that Jongho gave away her identity by sitting front-row with a sign that said “Ivy-Noona is my best friend <3”.

So before I start I just have to say, from my own experience, guys who have had sex before, are usually not as understanding when their partner says they want to wait til marriage. It’s just if you’re used to something enjoyable, you wouldn’t want to miss out necessarily, right? so I kinda understand where these guys are coming from but also everyone should respect someone else’s decision - consent is key!!! guys who are not as experienced are usually more likely to wait and be understanding... but hey, just my experience with that sort of thing which i will include in this writing <3

Wonho:

This guy definitely had sex before, let’s be real. And although I see him as a very respectful und understanding individual, I still think he would struggle a little to hold back. Kisses and cuddles are his top priority but sometimes it’s just hard for him to hold back, especially with you looking that good all the time. But he is very controlled in everything he does, so whenever it really gets a little too hot for him to hold back, he just cutely grunts, and sprints to the bathroom. He either sits his desire out or he takes a cold shower - whatever it takes. Wonho would never want you to feel bad about it and even when he gets frustrated, he is smart enough to get some space to calm down but comes back super fast to shower you with love!

Minhyuk:

This guy is already impatient, so please do not expect him to be super patient when you tell him you want to wait. He won’t force you or try to convince you to anything you don’t want to but he will nag and annoy you about it. Like imagine whenever a sexual topic comes up in the friends group... he will just smirk at you and you obviously will blush from partial embarrassment and innocence. He enjoys that stuff. When you get home afterwards he will be like “Hey, you wanna try what the guys talked about?” and smirk that stupid smirk once again. But he only means this jokingly, he knows how important it is for you to wait so he would never push your boundaries too much - but you’re in for some nagging.

I.M:

I am so sorry but I know he is very sexy and he loves to be seen as such but to me he is such a baby - not like baby baby but he seems like such a genuine and respectful guy. I think Changkyun would be a little overwhelmed sometimes when making out and he would try to undress you and stuff - but not because he is impatient and wants to push you to do the deed with him but because it feel natural to him to do exactly that. But as soon as you push his hands away, he realises what he is doing and apologises profusely for making you uncomfortable. I think Changkyun would also be the guy to try to get you to do third base things - still no sex and innocent enough. He would definitely be the one who will work out a compromise - he waits for sex and you help him out in any other way (he will help you out too if you want, he is a gentleman like that).
