I’d like to know: How/where did you learn how to write so well in a language that (I assume) isn’t your native language? I’m always baffled when I read your work, big fan

Aw this is such a sweet compliment, thank you!! Yeah, like you assumed, English isn't my native language. But my dad is an English teacher, so from very early on I had a lot of contact with that language. At some point (my English grades at school weren't too good), my dad started giving me English books instead of German ones, so that I would improve my English. Around that time we also started - as a family - to watch our movies in English. So for the last like 13 years, I nearly only read English books and watched English series/movies/videos. Another thing is probably music as well - I started writing my own songs when I was about 14 years old and I only ever wrote them in English because German music felt so far away. Writing in a non-native language was and still is hard. But I've done it for such a long time that it feels more and more like a second language 🥰
