If Jeremy Agriche jealousy head-canons and a short scenario

♡ Jeremy Agriche would be willing to draw blood, kill, burn the empire down and even destroy his family with the exception of his sister if that means he could win your favor. Growing up he never received any love and does not know how to love but the feeling of warmth from you is addictive. It's his personal drug that he would be willing to do anything for. Like most Agriche residents he barely treated you as a human being at first, he simply treated you like property. All Agriches act yandere but slowly as the two of you grow closer he starts to fall in love with you and sees you as a goddess. The sort of guy who would worship the ground you walked on and would do anything to gain your attention. Even if it was in a negative way.
♡ When Jeremy saw you talking to his half brother Dion, he could see that Dion was starting to fall for you just like he had once. Were you so selfish that one man wasn’t enough for you? Was your love all just an act? You should know better than to attempt at deceiving an Agriche! Deep down he knew, he would not be able to get himself to hurt you after all you and his sister were the only people he loved. Clenching his fists he turned around and walked away sharply. He would talk to you later, if you were to move on from him someday he would prefer the man to be a kind guy not like Dion. Jeremy only wants the best for you, he was so head over heels in love with you, maybe an angel like you really did deserve better than him. He punched his bedroom wall harshly, leaving a visible dent as tears slipped from his eyes. He was hoping that you would not like Dion back, after all, you once promised him that you would always stay by his side.
“Oh the things you do to me… Y/n..” He sighed, placing his arm over his eyes as he laid in bed.
♡ You had to admit, you did not know Dion could be so… domestic. Especially around you, it was a pleasant surprise, perhaps he wanted to be your friend! You couldn’t help but worry about Jeremy though. He usually checks on you multiple times a day and he hasn’t checked up once!
So being his future wife, you walked into his room to check up on him. What you saw instead shocked you, Jeremy was asleep but his under eyes looked puffy and red, like he had been crying. You took a seat beside him gently running your fingers through blue hair. Only to gasp as you felt how soaked his pillow felt against your hand. What could have possibly made the love of your life cry so much? Gently fluttering his eyes open Jeremy’s blue eyes met with your concerned ones. He lifted your hand moving it from his hair to his face, he used your hand to cup his face.  You brought another hand and placed it on the crook of his neck, laying down on the bed next to his lean and taller figure.
“You’re not going to leave me, right Y/n?” He asked, his voice laced with pain
“No, never. I don’t understand why you would worry about something of that sort my love,” Your soothing voice, honey to Jeremy’s ears cooed
“It's just- you looked quite happy with Dion,” He muttered, annoyed, ripping away from your hands and turning around to face the other side. He gave off a childish huff and placed a pillow between the both of you.
“You must understand Jeremy, I have no one in this mansion besides you and frankly I feel quite lonely most of the time. I was simply hoping to befriend Dion. I’m sorry if it upset you,” You mumbled, lifting the pillow. Only to feel Jeremy’s hand on yours, "You don’t need to befriend Dion, I will introduce you to sister Roxie and maybe sister Grizelda sometime, just don’t go near Dion,” He pouted, turning around and looking at you, his eyes once again had tears in them. You gently wipes his tears, salty liquid dripping off your fingers as you got up to hug your future husband who had abandonment issues.

Ok first, hello :D.
I don't know if it's just me interpreting it that way, but from the little you showed, L in this AU is more "human" so to speak, like at least he shows emotions, and is a bit cringey in some ways (I love that ). Will you show more of him? (I'm not demanding, I'm just asking, sorry), like, does he care about these children? Did he feel bad about Beyond's death at the hands of Kira? Is he autistic or just way too weird?
I would love love love to show more L!! The thing is I’m having trouble finding things about him and thinking of scenarios for him to act out. L is super inactive in general. I can only see him sitting there, thinking, talking, not even changing facial expression. And that’s some pretty boring stuff to draw, innit? I’m also having a hard time imagining L having some sort of everyday life that would allign with what people normally do. That makes him absolutely unrelatable. Do you guys have any headcanons or scenarios for L that would be interesting to draw without being too out of character? If you want me draw L, give me something to work with!
The way I put it so far, yes, he absolutely cares about the kids at Wammy’s. He wants to give the kind of help to them he needed when he was younger. That doesn’t mean he’s doing a good job but at least he tries. Something that always kinda bothered me with how people see the relationship between L and the Wammy’s kids is how L is often portrayed as being a cuddly dad-like figure. The way I want to portray him is that L is not and never intends to be some sort of parental figure for any of the kids and the kids don’t view him as that either. Nobody is having soft feelings for L and they for sure ain’t cuddling when they meet. The contact between the kids and L is always professional. Friendly but always with a respectful distance. Keep in mind that all of these characters probably don’t like their personal bubble invaded and have a weird relationship with physical contact. L is just “some dude that smells funny” to the kids. And L sees the kids as “hyperactive tiny adults with sticky hands”.
L probably didn’t feel remorse about Beyonds death but rather about everything that happened before. About all the things that made Beyond become what he was.
And yeah, L is 100% autistic. He kinda falls into the adorkable aspie trope, if you’re familiar with that. A bit like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory or Sherlock Holmes. Like, all of his weird traits are portrayed as quirky instead of annoying, distracting or otherwise negatively.

Shadow Work
I see a lot of other witches talk about shadow work without explaining what it is or how to do it. This post will hopefully help baby witches who are kinda confused by the whole thing.
What is Shadow work?
So first of all, what exactly is shadow work? Well in short, shadow work is a practice by some witches that explores the subconscious and trauma within yourself. Shadow work is mostly based on Carl Jung’s theory of the “Shadow Self”.
In Jungian psychology, shadow can refer to two different concepts. In one sense, the shadow includes everything in the unconscious mind, good or bad. In another shadow psychology definition, the shadowing might include only the part of the personality that you don’t want to identify as self but still is a part of your unconscious mind. This dark side of your personality contains everything your conscious mind can’t admit about itself.
It might seem that the shadow is a negative space filled with only bad things. If you’re using the definition that states that the shadow is the part of the human mind that contains the urges and motivations your conscious mind doesn’t want to self-identify, then that is exactly what it is.
On the other hand, if you see the shadowing as the unconscious mind (and, by implication, the collective unconscious), it may contain many positive things, such as long-ago memories. In this sense, positive archetypes are also be included in the shadow.
Why do Shadow Work?
One of the main reasons why I personally think shadow work is important to practice is because, unfortunately, therapy is not widely available or accessible for many people. In fact, there are many people who would benefit from therapy but cannot afford it, do not have access to it due to their location, or are simply uncomfortable with the idea of seeing a therapist.
That's where shadow work comes in. Although it is not a substitute for therapy, it can be an incredibly useful tool for resolving some traumas and gaining insight into your own behaviors and patterns of thought. By exploring and confronting your shadow self, you can better understand the root causes of your issues and work to overcome them. Additionally, shadow work can help you develop greater self-awareness and emotional intelligence, which will serve you well in all areas of your life.
Overall, while therapy may not always be an option, shadow work can be a valuable alternative for those in need of healing and personal growth.
How to do Shadow Work?
The easiest way to do shadow work is through prompted journaling. It’s also great for baby witches or those in the broom closet because all you need is a journal and a writing utensil. No copious amount of herbs, candles, and oils. Just paper and pen. Or if you want, you can keep a journal in google drive or microsoft word or any other sort of online document. Another exercise you can incorporate into your shadow work is using tarot cards. You can ask yourself questions or use a journal prompt and draw a tarot card and write on what card you drew in your journal and just go from there! This is also great if you’re still learning the meanings of tarot cards.
Shadow work may not be for everyone but I suggest everyone try it at least once. It is a great tool and practice to help get in touch with your self and your own mind. If you have any suggestions for shadow work methods or other tools please reblog or reply to this post!

My part for the trade with @imjustabeanie
Okay, so you’ve given me quite a task. Finally, I’ve settled on one. I fell asleep typing so I’m posting this now instead of last night. Second place belongs to Vox, but that’s a differed story. As for the official verdict, I match you with…
Tumblr media
Lucifer! He strikes me as a guy who’d give you plenty of space but would definitely care. In his own way. Sometimes, he’s not all that great with words, but he’d try to show you that he cares (even if he can't always be around either because of his duties or depression-) with gifts and doing things for you. Not in a babying you. And he’d treasure every single thing you give him. It could be the weirdest thing, but we’ve seen this man’s house - putting your craziest gifts up on display won't make the aesthetic any more whack with those ducks around.
In my opinion, the N/S mbti dynamic works well and he has some S vibes. That sort of thing gives the relationship balance without being too contrasting.
And, please, your cold demeanor and irony matched with the King of Hell who’s this warm, enthusiastic guy is iconic. When people hear about you two, they assume they should be cautious of him. Then they meet him and he’s literally just a guy. But the second they say some bullshit he just lets you go at them and obliterate them verbally. That's when they find out they were intimidated by the wrong person. True scary dog privileges.
For the most of the show he’s put in a pretty compromising position where he can't do much for his loved ones (mainly Charlie), but you are bound by no deal. Go, get those Exorcists! A real power couple.
Though his bluntness is expressed in a different way from yours I feel like that shared trait could be one of the things that connect you two. Like, sometimes he needs to hear your deadpanned comment to get himself together.
Sometimes, he can be all over the place when he feels like he’s been put in a tough spot, but don’t dread him coming to you all whiny and helpless. His dread is his to know and he usually deals with it in private. What he does come to you finally, it’s usually for levelheaded advice and normal discussion.
Your curiosity woks well with his an his creative soul definitely fuels it. Not only does he know a lot (he was around for a long time, come on; also asking questions is kind of his thing, much to his detriment) but he enjoys having someone to recount some stories to. And the way you detailed how you cannot stand failure paired with him being so tied (at least in actual religion) to Pride is kind of nice as a concept. Like, a running theme I guess? I mean, would be cool in the show, you know.
This man is a disaster when it comes to dealing with negative feelings and I’m a firm believer that having someone to relate to you is way better than the whole ‚I can fix him’ thing. So you guys could just communicate at your own pace and it would be nice not to have that other person pressuring you to just ‚open up and be vulnerable☺️🌸’ like it’s something everyone should do with ease and pleasure.
And this man has the craziest True Crime stories, you can’t convince me otherwise. Don’t put on a podcast, let him talk and enjoy your evening. He’s seen wild things and has no issue with recounting them.
If you’re up to it, he’d definitely get you into doing some inventions/projects together, even if you just ‚fuck around and find out’ he would find it rather charming to have another perspective. Just spend some time with him and play around in his work space (not really sure what that room is at this point, but there is a ton of equipment on the walls, so it could double as some sort of study). You could even just draw alongside him while he works on his ducks. And he would love it if you ever wanted to make a project for him of a duck. The man would make it in SECONDS I swear. He’d find your little ‚collab’ so cool.
Additional he knows how to deal with loneliness without giving you any pity, he’s been there, he knows things suck sometimes and he’s far from overbearing about it.
Sure, Lucifer might be ‚nice’ but he’s THE King of Hell. If you told him about that DNA-related dream of yours ethics wouldn’t be much of a concern, he’d try to help you to figure it out. I mean, he might be a little reluctant about making more humans, cause like, from his experience there’s one out of three chance it will be a disaster. But cloning isn’t technically the same as creation, so it should be fine? That’s yours to find out!

People Comparing Earthbound to Undertale
I do not know how others within the fandom feel about this, but I personally do not like it when people compare Earthbound to Undertale in order to make either passive aggressively criticize it, or to praise Undertale.
(Cutting here to not clog the timeline!)
First and foremost, I do not mean this to disrespect or put down Undertale or its creator, Toby Fox as that is both hypocritical and not the point I am trying to make. I love both franchises dearly and am an active member of both fandoms. It is just exhausting to see so many people put down one of my favorite franchises by using one of my other favorite franchises.
Firstly, when I see people make this comparison, it is usually in a sort of review of ether, at high usually used in negative reviews of Earthbound. They do such in order to critically analyze one or the other and come to a conclusion about its quality. While I can understand why people may use comparisons in order to judge a product’s quality, I do not think that the way people use it in this way is in any way good or productive.
For one thing, drawing such direct comparisons of one thing to another not only does not give the full picture, but can be misleading about the quality of it. For example, if you compare two things, both of high quality, but ones is only slightly better, without your knowledge of the entire market of said product, any of the small, insignificant shortcomings the slight worse one has will seem like much larger detriments than they actually are, as there is not a proper understanding of the market as a whole. Hence, such comparisons are not productive.
And the other reason I dislike this, which troubles me much more, personally, is that it brings it down and dieters people who may have greatly enjoyed the game otherwise. This effect mostly stems from the the negative framing of Earthbound as a result of the comparison, most of the comparisons go something like “They have X in Undertale and it is so good that It would make you wish that X was in Earthbound” or simply “Undertale is better than Earthbound” thus feeding into a negative perception of it preventing potential fans from playing it.
This is not to say that it is perfect game, because no game can be, as we are humans and humans are not perfect. But it also lacks any sort of critical analysis of it’s problems, such as the potential perpetration of racist and anti-Semitic from the portrayal of the Runaway Five as well as other POC characters in the game, or the fat-phobic portrayals of Porky and his parents, fitting into the fat bastard trope. But they aren’t saying, for the most part, “Earthbound has X issues that Undertale does not” but are rather saying “Undertale is better than Earthbound” without stating the issues presented.
I just think that it is overall just not fun for people to be putting down another thing that I love with something that I also love, in addition to the less emotional reason I have already stated. I just don’t want it be a competition, because it’s not. At the end of the day they are both good, and I greatly dislike that one being better makes the other bad, because it’s not fair and is a mindset that creates a lack of critical thinking and media literacy.

Sorry another non-art post but I wanted to point out to some very disrespectful people that this is NOT an art only account > <“
This account was actually made to be mostly rambles, and just because I like pmtok and center most of my stuff around olly doesnt mean thats all i do either! I never wanted to be a pmtok-only artist; i just draw what i want to rather than what other people like to see
I’m a rambler at heart and if you dont like that then you shouldnt follow me, or just mute #rambling !! Alternatively if you don’t want to see any negative posts, mute #negative ^_^
Tbh as someone who has never had an anonymous ask box before joining the pmtok fandom, stuff like this just comes off as really mean and dehumanizing?? Please unfollow me if you have a mindset like this. I constantly tell people to just send me fun asks and stop trying to order me around like a slave and then people who claim to follow me pull this…. 😓 I hope you know that if you think you’re entitled to my artwork and can tell me to “shut the fuck up” for simply speaking how I feel about the constant harassment the toxic side of the fandom has given me and my friends/mutuals, I do not like you and you’re not allowed to enjoy my art tbh….
Tumblr media
There is no “we”, just this rude person who likes to pretend they are a fan. But no fan acts like this. I want my fanbase to be a nice and welcoming place full of gentle and friendly people, not entitled bullies who treat me like their slave. Keep it to yourself if you don’t enjoy my rambling, please, or just unfollow/mute the tags I appropriately place for these sorts of posts <3
I blocked this anon immediately after screenshotting this but tbh I’m not sure if that blocks their actual account too… cause I wanna make sure they can’t view my account if all they want to do is dehumanize me. Idk it’s really weird how this fandom acts sometimes which is why I’m so strict with my dni and byf stuff but people don’t listen most of the time…. Agh!!
I make one post telling the people harassing and stalking me for several months if not years to leave me and my friends alone, and these people suddenly get the idea I’m just an art-making machine…. It’s frustrating but in the end I just want to receive nice anon asks. I appreciate all the friendly anons!! Thank you so much. You make my days so much better. I feel bad that sometimes I can’t respond to them, but I read them all. I save them all. I love them all <:)
But yeah… please unfollow me if you’re unwilling to just mute my #rambling and #negative tags when all you do is complain I don’t post art enough…. Also idk, if you want me to post more art then…? Why not you compliment my art? What’s the point of not ever supporting my art when I post it, then complaining and belittling me when I don’t post it? That’s why I block these people. Very very disrespectful.
I know it’s best to just ignore this stuff! And I do. I ignore a lot of it. It is quite annoying, but I ignore it so I can give the nice people room to speak. It’s really rare that I actually speak up about this stuff tbh. I’m almost positive these are all just the same few people block evading me via VPN anyway hahahah. Especially since I’ve seen them do that, too.
Also, I do recognize it’s very likely no one will read this all the way. But I usually don’t write things expecting people to read them! I mostly write stuff for myself, like a journal of some sorts. :D It’s probably a bit weird when I advertise my art and whatnot too, but y’know. I don’t want my tumblr blog to be just… some soulless art dump. I’m not looking for attention, just respect, I guess.
Ah, in the end I’m sure those bullies will use this to fuel their constant harassment of me anonymously (because they too cowardly to hate me normally, I guess), but tbh they just kind of… complain about a singular post I’ll make for the first time in forever for days straight and act like that type of post is all I make, so I guess there’s no appeasing them. Not that I even want to make happy the people who treat me as subhuman.
Idk why people are so entertained by being assholes, but maybe that’s just the naive part of me thinking! I’m no grown adult or anything. In my head I am just a little baby still learning about the online world as I was raised very sheltered from all that stuff and avoided toxicity wherever I went… 💦 I am a tumblr baby! Sorry..!
Ah!!!! Rambling too much. Hahah. Thank you for reading. Hey, if you got this far, why not you send me a friendly anon message? Gotta clean out all the garbage from within my inbox, though I think I’ve done a pretty good job at it as is.
I will post again when I have something to say or more art to share!!!!

Hello! I hope you’re an amazing day :)
I want to ask if you know any good metas/analysis about Kakashi out there? Or perhaps have you written posts about him? So far I’ve only read one that were very… ooc to say the least. They were less analysis than they were fan-pages where fans praise Kakashi for every single thing he does and completely ignore the times he might’ve not been the best person in the world. They agree with every little thing he does even when he contradicts himself, and then act like they love Kakashi for his flaws (even if they apparently don’t think he has any) and use the joker card "he’s traumatized" to justify his actions. And I understand why him being traumatized would impact the way he acts, of course… but still, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t criticize his behavior when necessary
If you have good reads about him I would be very thankful if you could respond, because right now I haven’t found anything very interesting yet 😅
Also I wanted to say that I really like your drawings, you’re so talented and creative
Hello~! 💕 I have, hope you do too! Thankyou for liking my art *-*!
Kakashi analyses? Hm, I don’t immediately remember any but I stopped reading them a while ago for the reasons you state, but also because of the complete opposite where the only focus is on criticism and nothing else, so I can't help you with that. I rarely talk about him. I like Kakashi a lot but whenever I do say anything, regardless of it being positive, there’s always either a cowardly anti or fan indirectly responding to it and making their own posts starting with some sort of “omg I can’t believe people think Kakashi-!!!!” or “I can’t believe people don’t see that Kakashi is-!!!!” And then proceed to cherrypick moments while failing to understand the context of the original question I responded to in the first place. Moments that I already acknowledged but won’t (dis)prove the conclusion by itself. Meh, it's not worth it. It’s like the entire point flew over their heads and I’m not even sure whether it’s deliberate or not. Kinda like grabbing a blob of butter and smacking some flour on the side claiming that it’s a cookie now. Like, what are you saying? 🙄 Okay, okay, petty rant over.
“- then act like they love Kakashi for his flaws (even if they apparently don’t think he has any) and use the joker card "he’s traumatized" to justify his actions. And I understand why him being traumatized would impact the way he acts, of course… but still, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t criticize his behavior when necessary.”
I mean....... 👀😬😬... I think it goes both ways though because this is very much a fandom thing and uh.. certainly not only Kakashi’s 💀
Let's not think too long about it xD Just saying that the Naruto-fandom in general is very weird about which character is ‘allowed’ to do what in regard to a trauma response or what coping mechanism is okay, if it's even recognized as such. Yeah characters having flaws are so crucial. I don't see why it's always seen as criticism or something negative when you point something out. I could write entire essays on Naruto's flaws which.. despite them usually being limitations or something to overcome, in the end these traits were proven very necessary. For example his arrogance is seen as a flaw, both in the fandom and in the story. He even got lectured about it by Itachi. Being arrogant and not engaging with teamwork ('relying on comrades') by default is a character flaw for stories like these especially for a main character, but it's not like you can blame Naruto for being forced to only rely on himself while growing up. It's not his fault for being abandoned. He copes by believing in himself ("believe it!") and his own efforts because that's the only thing he could somewhat control thinking he'd succeed if only he works himself to the bone and finally gain some acknowledgement like a human being. Although he'd learn quickly that it's very conditional. In that sense, yes, his flaw is justified through trauma. Aaaand, it has purpose. It's not a bad thing. It’s depth and complexity that help make a character interesting and flaws can make them more relatable to the audience if done well. Without flaw there is no conflict and thus, no story. It’s otherwise nothing more than a powerpoint where a meaningless sequence of events is presented, but it won’t make you feel anything. You’re not engaged because you don’t care about what happens next. Nothing is solved because it wouldn’t be necessary and the author has nothing to tell nor would it be convincing if they had. Had Kakashi been flawless I wouldn’t even have liked him because these Mary Sue characters are boring as hell. Of course, it depends on context.. is it relevant to the story? Is it necessary to play their role? Does it have any impact? Is it consistent? How does it contribute? etc- I especially appreciate Kakashi from a storytelling perspective but I understand that not everyone wants to shove it all under that category. But answer questions like that and you can figure out whether something is worth exploring to see if it's a valid point of critique.

Note
Hi hello as someone who has had a fangan hyperfixation since 2018 and is also getting into Milgram I absolutely love this so much !! If you have any spoiler-free information about this project I would love to know as much as possible ! /nf
hi !! sorry for not responding for a while. I’m very glad you’re interested- I thought it was kind of a weird and embarrassing idea at first so I was nervous to make it public. it makes me feel a bit better that people do like the concept
I don’t want to clog up people’s dashboards or anything with a text wall, so I’ll put a cut with some infodumps under it if you’re interested.
for information about the project I can give, it’s a one man project so output may be slow. there are 10 prisoners like canon milgram, 5 males and 5 females. rather than as songs and videos, the crimes will likely be presented as either poems or written stories coupled with drawings
some of the crimes may reflect some canon events and include other canon characters, while others were made up for the sake of the story based on what type of murder I think each character would commit. this will also include some headcanons and speculation about characters that haven’t been fully fleshed out yet from fangans that are incomplete, so if I end up getting something wrong when more things are revealed about the characters, I ask everyone not to come attack me, since this story was in the works even before a certain reveal in a certain video series fangan that shook the fangan community to its core happened. you know the one.
also, for some beta fun facts! there were originally 12 prisoners. Ace from Despair Time and Grace from Eden’s Garden were those prisoners, but I decided to remove them to relieve extra work + to not reuse fangans - since, we already have Damon as Prisoner 001 and David as Prisoner 009.
also, the Warden was originally going to be Tsurugi Kinjo from DRA. however… I sort of realized Tsurugi would just want all the prisoners to get a death sentence, so… I went with Kaizue instead, since I think having a Warden that enjoys what they’re doing rather than just doing it as a moral obligation like Es would be interesting.
I’m not sure how much more I can talk about without getting into spoiler territory, but, for each of the little black and white drawings I’m steadily pumping out, it reveals that each duo has a set of contrasting themes that represent each of them. I’ll list them below, and you can make your own interpretations of what exactly they mean for the characters.
- Loathing (001) / Loving (002)
- Delusion (003) / Discovery (004)
- Repress (005) / Recall (006)
- Refuge (007) / Retaliation (008)
- Anxiety (009) / Apathy (010)
that’s all.
though, as a fun tip for anyone else who wants to write a MILGRAM story… make sure that both an INNOCENT and GUILTY verdict will in some way affect the prisoner receiving it in a negative way for Trial 2. your goal is to push the idea of consequence when it comes to verdicts, and help your voters use critical thinking and speculation to figure out what could happen. and especially the idea that there isn’t always a “correct” answer, as MILGRAM’s popularity derives from debates and discussions between users about their own interpretations and ideas about what would be better
have a good one ★ I’ll try not to disappoint with this project. once again, I’m very glad you’re interested !!

Ok, note to self: use references when drawing perspective so you don’t spend 4 hours just trying to make stuff make sense.
Tumblr media
Anyways, page one is almost done.
Also,I was debating if even saying anything about this, but given the harsh backlash I’ve seen some sm creators receive over Headcanons I want to reveal a major HC I have for Ami’s character, which is going to be quite prevalent in this comic.
If you feel like you’re going to get offended or hurt in any way, check underneath the SPOILER and feel free to skip the comic, it is just my hc and really shouldn’t mean anything to anyone. I don’t want to spread any sort of negative stereotype, I just want to write human characters dealing with human issues.
MAJOR SPOILER FOR COMIC, DON’T READ FURTHER IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS.
Ami Mizuno is on the autism spectrum.

I don’t post enough about my boys
So today is about Aether
My sunshine child
This is more about who he is and his personality than anything
So it’s pretty obvious that he’s based off Dream, coming from a dreamtale type au
And well- he has a goopy twin
But I actin ace him with the intention of him being more similar to papyrus! (His skull looks like that because I couldn’t draw papyrus properly at the time-)
That means he also has a very papyrus-like personality
They’re extremely bubbly and happy and probably the biggest optimist around (he and Jorilde are still at competition over that)
They want nothing more than to help everyone around them, even at the cost of his own health. He would endanger himself in a heartbeat if it meant saving someone from harm. Of course, he constantly takes this too far
They don’t know how to properly help people, not really. They also hate the idea that anyone would have to feel too negatively (he doesn’t want anyone else to end up like their brother). So let’s say he were to go into a very negative au
He would want to “fix” that at any cost which usually leads to him using his abilities (to be explained later) to leave a sort of positive impression on the au (think ftfo but like- fucked up positivity and not the other way around)
Unfortunately with his corrupted magic, this leads to things like a very suppressed sense of fear (you can’t have as much fun if you’re scared to try.. right?) and the inhabitants of the au generally being left with a sort of high that doesn’t dissipate, if it does it causes the inhabitants to crave that feeling again
But when aether leaves, they can’t find that same feeling like they did before. In some aus that’s okay, and they are left with nothing more than a sense of longing. But in others? It could result in anger at it being taken away or a deeper pit of negativity. Not good in either situation. (Aether was actually based off the radiance! I was gonna base nyx off grimm, but it just didn’t fit quite as well. Love hollow knight!)
So aethers intentions at helping turn dark fairly quickly, even if it would kill him inside to find out.
Which leads to the next thing
Aether refuses to let himself feel negativity. Not because he can’t, he is more than capable of it
But because he saw what too much did to his brother, and he’s terrified to become like him as well. (He refuses to acknowledge that he is also corrupted in his own way)
For all the good intentions he has, he can’t seem to figure out how to play them out right, no matter how quickly he would out himself out for someone else’s sake
He’s a bit childlike in that way I suppose
I don’t know how to end this
Uh
The reason he has a split tongue is cause they bit it really bad as a child
I mean have you seen those teeth-? It’s bound to happen
(Nyx post will come tomorrow cause I’m at school now-)

13 for the art ask game, obviously
i love the “obviously” tacked at the end there. It’s like a lil’ spicy, “see of COURSE THIS is the one we ALL want to know >;) and the one we know YOU want to answer” type of confidence jggffyfhfg
13. What do you wish you could add in your art but can’t because you either forget to or you developed the habit of drawing this way too hard that you just can’t add this detail in?
Question’s a lil’ disjointed BUT!! I think really really fine details aren’t something I’m capable of doing. Deadass you can’t catch me trying to manually create patterns or fur textures. I’m also talking incredibly minuscule stuff, like the threads on a tassel level minuscule. And that does bother me, especially if I’m doing my usual schtick of wanting to adapt to another visual style just because I feel like it. If it hasn’t been clear by now, I don’t really stick to one way of drawing, I kinda want to be adaptable, and to do that- learning other looks is sorta how to do it. (Tho every attempt is approached in a way that works for me).
Twst for example, is a style that is carried by detail-oriented aspects (it’s kinda absurd lol affectionate), but I don’t have a handful of artist assistants to add in extra details like that for me on top of what I already know how to do.
I’m just doing it by myself. And me not being able to do fine-detail stuff like that isn’t really because I draw “one” way (I draw a crapton of ways and with different techniques), it’s def just a skill issue combined with the level of patience required, and tbh, it might be a physical problem. I physically just can’t do that sort of thing without straining to some capacity, and having already injured myself before isn’t something I want to exacerbate for the sake of “aRt.” It doesn’t really affect much, per se, but it’s a weak point I’ve encountered. Excuses, the lot of it. So what now? I still want to keep attempting them.
On that end I’d have to use tools and resources available to me. This isn’t a dig or negative by any means, just a reality of how the process goes. I don’t think pigeonholing oneself into just sticking to one way of drawing is a productive way to learn, especially if they want to. (I’m not saying go nuts and go full chameleon mode like me, that’s just me being my weird self). Visual styles aren’t really an excuse to not do certain things, ya just. Or hell, to do certain things either (like, i def dont have to go fine-detail or w/e to a T, but guess who is just so fun quirky 🫣🤡). There’s thousands of ways to go about these things. Just depends on what u want i guess… or go crazy, that works too.

I think many queer people who are exclusionists have been shaped that way by queerphobia which is incredibly sad.
The flaws in homophobia/transphobia is honestly really aren’t their facts or statistics or the things they say- there’s no logic and even if their is the problem will and always will be their conclusions from the information. For example, the most common argument I’ve seen is “Having more gay representation will make the kids gay.” And the thing is this is an entirely neutral statement, the claim in itself doesn’t really mean anything to me, because it’s vague, there’s no context and there’s nothing inherently wrong with being gay.
Homophobia’s problem is coming to hateful conclusions from mostly neutral statements. Or hyperfocusing on the gay aspect to fuel their hatred.
A lot of exclusionists regret the idea of trans people without gender dysphoria because they feel that there has to be some sort of life threatening reason for someone to be transgender, because internally transitioning for “no reason” is an inherent evil. But that’s what the transphobes WANT you to think. There is no inherent evil to transition into a boy just because you like how boys look or you think boys are hot and want to be one, or any other reason. Of course medical transition needs long consideration but there’s nothing wrong with someone without gender dysphoria just deciding to change their pronouns to she/her and start using a girl name even if they had no problems as a man. The only people who think there’s something wrong with transness in any form are transphobes.
To get a little personal, I do have gender dysphoria and all the typical good gold star exclusionist binary trans person points. However, I don’t think it’s a bad thing that one of the reasons I’m transgender is because I grew up in a majority male household. I think due to my gender dysphoria I would have always been this way but my brothers and father definitely contributed. And for some out there, if they were born in a more gender equal society, they wouldn’t be transgender. And that’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with saying that. It doesn’t make you any less transgender.
As for accusations that are inherently negative, the problem is the conclusion and the “evil” drawn from it. Hearing about a story where a trans woman assaults someone, they draw the trans woman from the story and use it as ammunition against trans people as a whole. However the correct conclusion is that we are given little information her and all we know is that someone who happens to be a trans woman assaulted someone. One assumption is taken from hate and malice, and the other is neutral.
Not proofread just some thoughts and your friendly reminder that being queer has no rules and not to let internalized homophobia render you hateful for the members of our community who don’t follow as many “rules”
( I hate that I have to clarify this because I am worried it will be used as a strawman against me or will be co-opted by bad actors but I do not condone pedophilia, racism or anything like that. There is a difference between neo/xenogenders and “genders” that are just racism and pedophilia apology. Queerness shouldn’t involve any of that. )

that 4 post was interesting to read! do 4s have a harder time becoming healthy (or maybe appearing healthy to outsiders even if they are healthy) than other types? or does it depend more on individual self awareness across the board?
also, do you think being upset that something you like has become popular and trendy (and growing to despise that very thing along with all the people who “ruined” it for you) is 4ish? what about the exact opposite - being happy/excited this thing you enjoy is now mainstream and not understanding why that would upset someone since it just means more available merch and more people to potentially bond with and share one of your favorite things with? would that be some sort of attachment core + maybe high soc? i witnessed a debate earlier and was wondering lol
I don’t think so, no. In part because for one thing, it’s hard for any Enneagram type to get healthier. It’s an uphill battle for all of them, because their defense mechanisms and thinking patterns are so entrenched. Is it easy for a 3 to give up being the center of attention, or a 2 to stop thinking in terms of “I am higher than you, because you need my help”? Anything image-type related is difficult to unpack and overcome, because it’s what you want other to see. 4s can get healthier, while still broadcasting “you don’t get me and you can’t fix me and my trauma is a huge part of myself.” There’s also the fact that “healthy” is often tinged with biases, the assumption that “healthy” means not-negative (positive triad bias), proper behavior (super-ego bias), etc. Healthy for a 4 means something entirely different than healthy for a 6 or a 9 or a 3. 4s don’t judge themselves for their negative thoughts and feelings and for drawing attention to negativity or broadcasting it, and even a healthy 4 will still do all of that.
The article comes across as harsh on purpose to distinguish 4s. The lovely girl who wrote it is actually not that harsh “in person.” I would say she is a moderately healthy 4 (in the same way I am a moderately healthy 6), but that doesn’t undermine her 4-ness.
Anyway… hating that it has become popular can be 4, but it can also be contrarian 6 (I used to like this, but now everyone likes it, and now I’m upset, because this used to be what set me apart; now that everyone loves it means people are not critical thinkers enough, so I have to hate on it!). Case in point, I enjoyed the first Twilight book, but once it became so mainstream that Edward was on shower curtains, I hated the entire franchise. And I’m not a 4. So it’s not a 4 trait, it’s a human being trait and a contrarian trait and a “people are so irritating in my fandom, especially if they blindly gush” 6 trait for me; someone else might hate it for a different reason.
I’d say “oh goodie, everyone is into this now!” is a positive triad reaction paired with social, since it’s instantly embracing the happy, good things related to your favorite thing being super common. lol

I pretty much forgot about it, but I was looking through my notes and got reminded of a scenario I wrote for a short, simple DougLock comic (divided into frame-by-frame dialogue and descriptions). Since at the moment I don’t think I’ll be drawing it anytime soon... I thought I might as well share it with you?
(warning: I dunno how to write Doug, so here he kiiiinda talks as if it was still 80′s. Because I have no idea how to modernize his speech pattern from the New Mutants in a way that would be in character)
Calm scenery in front of the Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Douglas and Warlock are positioned under a tree. Doug is sitting leaning against the trunk, with his arms behind his head, while Warlock lies down on his belly, legs crossed at the ankles, head supported by his hands. Both boys look perfectly pleased with themselves and the world at large.
Doug: /stretching/ There’s nothing I like better than going on adventures and delivering some good butt-kicking, but once in a while a break also doesn’t hurt.
Warlock: /observing Dough with one eye, while the other one is focused on a butterfly/ Affirmative.
-
Doug: /looks down on the other boy with an endeared smile, his arms on the ground, pushing his body a bit to the front/ Well, that’s not entirely true, I suppose there actually is something I do like better!
Warlock: /looks back at him, his expression curious/ Statement is uncharacteristic for Selfsoulfriendoug. Query: what would such a thing be?
-
Doug: /laughs, bumping Warlock’s shoulder with his fist/ Hanging out with my best pal of course!
Warlock: /becoming all smiles/ The sentiment is reciprocated!
-
Boys sit for a while in comfortable silence, Doug eyes Warlock with a smile, as his hands thoughtlessly play with a picked up flower. Warlock notices some birds in the sky and tries mimicking their tweeting. (two or so frames)
-
Doug: /with a slight blush, handing Warlock the flower/ Hey, Lock… Could you close your eyes for a second?
Warlock: /taking the flower and draining it out of the life energy/ Query?
-
Close up on Doug’s face, his eyes are bashfully looking down, and his cheeks are tinted red. He doesn’t exactly appear embarrassed, maybe a bit shy, but there’s a sense of comfort to his expression.
Doug: There’s something I’d like to do. It won’t be any sort of mean prank, I promise
-
Warlock: /somewhat offended, closing his eyes immediately/ Self wouldn’t expect such action from Selfriend!
Doug: Aw, I’m glad I have your trust!
-
As Warlock stays still, Doug slowly leans in closer.
-
Doug, his expression extremely gentle, kisses Warlock,
-
after doing which, he leans back with the widest, most infatuated smile.
-
As Doug notices that Warlock has stayed unmoved, his appearance changes to more of a confused one.
Doug: Lock? You can open your eyes now
-
Warlock: Further clarification of the action’s purpose requested?
Doug: Huh? I thought… You don’t know what a kiss is?
-
Warlock: Negative! Self’s observations allowed self to confirm the kissaction’s double purpose as that of a greeting, as performed by Selfriendani and Selfriendrachne, or thanks as performed by damselentities in television. /extends two of his fingers to illustrate his point/ And self didn’t do anything that would request thanking.
Doug: I… uh, yeah, I guess, those can be true as well…
-
Doug: /grabs Warlock’s hand/ …But kissing somebody on the lips is a thing you do when you want to say… That you love them
-
This frame is smaller, and drawn in more cartoony style
Warlock: Observation: Selfriendbobby must love a lot of people.
Doug: No- Well- Sometimes people do it because it just feels nice as well-
-
Doug: /crossing his arms/ Still, the main purpose is to show affection
Warlock: /off frame/ Self understands!
-
Doug: /looks back at him, with an overjoyed smile/ You do?!
Warlock: /sitting up/ Affirmative!
-
Warlock places his hands on Doug's face, who covers them with his own. Doug’s expression returns back to that of quiet endearment.
-
Slam! Warlock basically smashes Doug’s face with his own!
Warlock: Kisssmoochmwah! /not as an onomatopoeia but spoken words/
-
Boys part, Doug looks absolutely shocked.
Warlock: /with great joy/ Self is thankful for the lesson in human custom!
-
Warlock: !
In the distance, Danielle is walking by, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Warlock, who energetically gets up, set on putting his new knowledge to good use.
Doug: /too absorbed with holding his bruised nose and lips to notice for now/ Ow-!
Warlock: Selfriendani! Self shall show you self’s appreciation of your person!
-
Doug: Lock…? Wait, you’re not going to-
/off the frame/ Slam! Smooo- Slap! Dani: Just what do you think you’re doing?!
Doug: …oh boy

I Think They’re Wasting Timber.
Ech. I don’t want to be more negative, ‘cause like, I don’t normally have that kind of energy in me anymore most of the time, despite making several negative posts the past couple days. But I am genuinely disappointed in the latest Tim special. I haven’t read it, but I seen enough already to know that it was just a pandering mess. Like you don’t really have to read the whole thing sometimes when you’re main worry can be seen within like two or three pages so much so that it’s actually depressing.
Fictional or not I thought Timber was going to be more than what it’s shown to be. I really only think Travis Moore put any meaning into the Timber relationship to give it any depth. That and of course the fans.
Like I want them to just stop pretending that Tim and Steph’s relationship was more than it was. Like they didn’t get along. They been doing it again and again for ages now. It’s not like it’s good for Steph either to be reduced to Tim’s love interest that’s ‘quirky’. They are two separate characters. It comes off as ridiculous after a while. They didn’t have a healthy relationship, just writers that would pretend like it. Let them fucking move on already. Not everything needs a cutesy, softie, happy ending, at least not when it feels so ignorant to their own past. Like regardless if people think it was Tim or Steph that was worse, it seems like most people that read more than just what the fandom usually knows (’Cause, comics be hard to find, and some people don’t wanna pirate) can agree that they weren’t a good couple.
4 stories and only one of them actually focuses on them as a couple, and it wasn’t written by the usual writer. That gives me a bad feeling.
And something about the way they wrote Bernard just made him feel so trivial. Like they don’t try to draw him to look like himself at all, like you’d never guess that’s him unless you saw how the same artist drew him before, he has no importance, they definitely aren’t writing him to have a personality, he’s just a generic civilian. And the way it’s written...it seriously doesn’t feel like Tim gives his relationship with Steph any actual weight compared to how the writer wrote Tim and Steph. Something about that was genuinely heartbreaking to me. A few lines and it made it feel like Bernard was just a test he was using to see what his sexuality was. In a fucking pride special no less. It sort of made the whole fucking thing feel pretty little.
And Steph’s mostly just portrayed as “quirky”. Like I’ve talked a lot about why I don’t like Tim and Steph’s relationship, and how I don’t like Dixon’s weird shoving her in treatment. But I do like her character. She has angles, and edges that make her stand out. They’re just never used, that’s why I sound so upset whenever I talk about her, she’s been wasted for over 20 years. Even when she got a solo they didn’t bother using much of her character to do anything interesting. They make her so typical it gets on my nerves. Her issue in Y.J. was the best content of her in years because it actually showed more sides to her, and made her feel like what made her compelling to begin with. And she doesn’t need to be mad at the time. But this constant portrayal of her, feels condescending. It is not her. Literally just let them move on, and let her do stuff that doesn’t feel like they never paid attention to her before.
Like who wants a story that feels like it was written by someone who only heard about the characters?
I know people will like it ‘cause it’s fluffy and queer content. Which I get, completely. The fans, they care. Care so much they’ll take anything, which isn’t a bad thing. People will simply like what they like, and don’t like what they don’t like.
But I don’t think this upcoming story is very well-crafted or well-done content. It’s so simplified and dumbed down, that it’s condescending too. It felt like a lot of it was spent trying to validate the writer’s ship over making anything resembling a compelling story. It was honestly like a lazy fan fic. Which really sucked, ‘cause I thought Sum of Our Parts, despite a part of it being so unnecessarily edgy out of no where, was actually a well-done story despite how short it had to run due to the formatting of Urban Legends. And fan fics have proven you don’t need a lot to have a lot of space to have a lot of character and depth.
Travis Moore’s story was super well-done too, so maybe I got my hopes up too much. I have no interest in one dimensional fluff, that doesn’t give a damn about it’s characters, past cutesy stuff that didn’t land the mark characterization wise. When his story when it was cutesy, worked, because it felt right. It had character in it that felt right.
Tumblr media
I’m still into Timber, but I was really hoping it’d actually BE something. There’s fan fictions that only last a single chapter with more character work that represents Tim and Bernard WAY better, and it’s literally amateur writers doing it for fun, they’re not even allowed to get paid for it.
Like I’m so annoyed with how little Bernard matters. It honestly might as well have not been Bernard at this point. It’s not even really him. It’s a puppet with his name. And that’s making me so upset. I’m genuinely not mad really. I’m a bit frustrated, but honestly I’m just sad. Not like, crying sad, but I feel so lowly after seeing the spoilers. Tim mostly managed to avoid the lifeless fan service sort of stuff, but now that he’s stuck in it now, it has me bummed beyond belief.
There’s been FOUR stories with Bernard as Tim’s boyfriend now. Only one got his character right, and he had like 3 lines in that story. That’s so stupid. I’m beside myself right now FOUR STORIES, and he’s mostly a NOTHING CHARACTER. The most depth their relationship had WAS IN THE TRAVIS MOORE STORY. It’s like he’s the only one of the two writers that actually gave a shit beside both feeling like Tim was queer, which is cool, he’s definitely had that energy. But I’m not even convinced it was for the reason’s everyone else saw. I think it was just done ‘cause of shipping and not actually seeing many of the signs.
Tumblr media
Like you feel like it’s Bernard in his lines. It captures the tone, his expressions capture his personality. And he’s drawn to look like himself and not a stereotype. You can feel a genuine love between two characters, that make it work. Not the coldest of it feeling like it’s a background thing that doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. Of only dating him to figure yourself out--which I don’t think is the total thing they wanted to come across as in the latest story. But when Tim’s ex is presented with more importance despite their history, and Bernard for two stories in a row by the same writer is tucked into the background doing nothing but--well, not even being drawn to resemble himself. It’s hard not to feel like it.
And I’m still happy Tim is queer. But it’s honestly the fans giving it any meaning beside Travis Moore so far. It feels pretty meaningless in the comics themselves, and it’s making me sad now. Like the person who’s going to be Tim’s main writer going forward so far as gave no actual shits about the queer relationship beyond it starting. It’s just a thing Tim’s involved with. It feels weightless under her writing.

He looks at you and nods. And he knows that, of course. He knows you won’t abandon him or any variation of it. But he sometimes has doubts. And it’s occurring to him that his doubts have nothing to do with you. They’re about him.
He huffs. “That’s your weirdness. Food sex is all you.” Sort of. Once he figured out you were into it, then he also got into it. So. Yeah. He’s counting it as yours, even if he knows better.
He snorts. “It’s more visible for sure. Not any guessing games with hollows.” But when you ask that he shrugs and decides to give you a straightforward answer. He doesn’t want you doubting whether or not you can trust his responses. “You don’t make me uncomfortable. Remembering how delicate this balance we have is… that makes me uncomfortable. Remembering that I ask you to do unnatural things just so we can stay together makes me uncomfortable.” You have a point. But even with that point, you’re unwittingly illustrating the difference between them. “Killing humans will never be the first thought I have. I don’t have to remember not to. Protecting them probably won’t ever be your first thought. That’s something you’ll have to recall. You’re right that I could hurt them. But it’s not in my nature. You could probably protect them a lot better than I do. But it’s not in your nature.” He pauses though and glances at you. “At least, I don’t think it is. Feel free to correct me if I’m getting this wrong.”
Since he expected a straightforward negative, he stumbles mentally. “Does it? I wasn’t serious, but now I’m wondering what it depends on.”
He matches your nod and hopes that means you believe him.
He snorts an amused sound, arching a brow over at you. "It's a two person activity so it must not be all me." He waves a careless motion, "But fine, my point still stands." If anything, you saying it's his thing and not your thing just further makes his case. If you do something strange, maybe it's because they're doing something strange that just doesn't quite work for you.
A smirk tugs at his mouth when you seem amused, but that shrug wipes it away, his first thought that he does indeed make you uncomfortable. It's kind of strange and contradictory, to want you to be slightly intimidated by him sometimes but not uncomfortable. But your answer makes more sense than that. He listens to you make your point and it actually makes a lot of sense why he might make you uncomfortable. He's not sure how to feel about that, but he doesn't feel guilty or ashamed by any of it. When you pause and look over at him, he meets your glance only briefly, before he shrugs and looks away. "I dunno, honestly." He's very reactionary. If a hollow were to storm its way into this street and start devouring people, he'd go after it, but it would be a reaction to the hollow itself, which would coincidentally protect people, but not be his first goal. But then, "I wanted to protect that little girl." Enough so to make her afraid of him. That makes him sound like the instinct is there, though, it skews the data. "But I feel no particular draw to care about anyone here, aside from you."
He's relieved when you say you aren't actually interested in his drink, but he still keeps it pulled away from you, more on his other side so that he's basically putting himself between you and the cup. With any sort of deeper inspection, it's a really ridiculous behavior, given how easily they could get more. "I just thought it would make me a bad boyfriend if I said no."
