Waddup with the 😈👶📘
Oh god I know the one you are talking about bvcbcv Okay so, this fic went from a simple cute mpreg fic to like.... Lovecraftian horror with far more twists and turns then I could keep track of, and I changed up how I wanted it to go each time! I often think about this along with my dragon AU so much so that they ended up merging together because if I'm to make baby OC's they might as well be dragon demon baby ocs because Marry Sueing characters is fun fuck anyone who says otherwise lmao ...Anyways yea the fic got too complicated and I constantly go back to revise it again and again and cant seem to find the story going the way I like. I figured I start with the dragon AU to at least establish Mephistos and Shiros relationship in that universe before I make them have a kid... or two... or three.. Okay on to actually explaining the plot of... Both? We'll start with the first part, DRAGONS. This AU is set in a world where dragons are separate magical beings that are born from condensed Assian magic. This magic is not at all associated with demons, so dragons, elementals and things made from Assian magic are not bound to any demon king or demons in general, they are their own thing. I hope this made sense (I don't have a way of explaining it just yet) Dragon magic is incredibly powerful too, it can reach world ending levels of power even... However, dragon magic specifically needs a host. Similar to demons, the magic is more so parasitic in that it needs a body that can contain it. The thing is, while demons are picky with their hosts. Dragon magic is not so much. The magic will spend a long time hopping from host to host until something lands and lasts long enough for the host to begin turning into a dragon. Dragon magic, like most magic coming from Assiah, will fade away overtime if its just floating around without a body. No body, no magic container. For that reason this magic will body hop around. It can go into anything. Animals, humans, and in very interesting cases... It will often even buddy up with already possessed bodies too. Which brings us to our good friends Mephisto, Shiro and Yuri! Upon investigating an "anomaly" located in a remote ruins somewhere (don't know exactly where yet) The trio gets into a fight with an enraged and injured dragon. While fighting the dragon, Shiro nearly gets killed trying to take it on by himself mostly, which prompts Mephisto to stop time just as he almost got squashed by the palm of the dragons hand. However, the dragon begins to move slowly on its own, resisting Mephistos magic. Shiro gets out of the way on Mephistos call, knowing he cant freeze it for long... But then just as Mephisto resumes time again, the dragon very quickly switched from what it was doing to lunge at Mephisto, catching him between its teeth. Mephisto ends the fight by summoning a bunch of clock hands to spear the dragon to a nearby hill. The dragons jaw slackened after a minute of being speared and slowly dies... Mephisto gets out of the beasts maw with severe injuries to his abdomen and pelvis. After that battle Mephisto suffers from recovering the injury, apparently demon healing doesn't extend to this type of wound. So he heals at a very slow rate compared to even human standards, which is odd and prompts the order to send in specialists to take a look at him. From there its all a bit blurry as the scenes all changed up a lot and I never have a coherent idea for anything beyond this point. I just know that Mephisto then gains a dragon form that he cannot control and often turns into a dragon either out of stress, anger, or not venting out the magic enough so it builds up until his body cant take it and he goes berserk. Now, the mpreg fic actually was written before but I abandoned it because I lost interest with that one in favor of the new version of it. The new version has been redone over and over because unfortunately I'm indecisive and cant decide how I want it to go lol. I just wanna explore Mephiro with their own little fuck ups- I mean, cute children... That definitely wont eat them alive or anything.. No no >.> its all fluff I swear ^^ I cant get too far talking about this because I cant think of any specifics or how far along it is since its very different from the old one. Best I can do is mention it but uh... If you have specific questions I will do my best to answer those!

The Empress- Darker the Weather // Better the Man
Warnings: topics from the empress, Violence
Tumblr media
Sarah laid on the makeshift cot. Lately with how everything had been pulled out, the war seemed like it had no end. Her eyes danced dully well her fingers fiddled with the locket from her lovers. Tears easily welled her eyes at the thought of them waiting for her.
Distant, everything is scattered
She missed them, she missed them more than she thought she truly would. The way their fingers danced warmly around her locks. Or how mornings were spent wrapped up tightly within her wives arms, the cold artic air contrasting to the warm blankets. She just missed the softness of the lingering moments.
When your mind is shattered and torn apart
She knew the war wouldn't last forever, yet with every passing day, it seemed the ending was fading. Sarah knew she shouldn't be mad at Technoblade or (y/n), but she couldn't help it.
Maybe it started with (y/n), the way she clinged and lulled the grand emperor into a false sense of pride. She easily Loathed that. Everyone within the empire assumed the Emperor was in control, but Sarah- being the general, knew exactly who had the power.
In an instant, I can be indifferent
But could she really bring herself to hate her? After all she was pregnant with the Emperor's baby as of currently.
She knew she shouldn't, yet it was so easy...
When she walked into the tent to see the Grand Emperor packing his things- it left her seething. He was going to leave them- leave his troops- his people- people who gave so much in hopes to end the conflict quickly. Technoblade should have known others were missing important family events, yet here they stood, proudly serving under his name.
The blame is always shifted from the start
And it was all because She, called- begged, him to come home.
She couldn't linger about any longer, she needed to distract herself. So grabbing a cloak she left the base camp, although some of the men asked about where she was leaving too. Sarah simply wiped her eyes with pride and assured them of her return.
Leafless treetops in the snow
Views of death and bitter cold
The walk towards the nearby village was a bore. Due to the cold, barely any animals found home within the snow, anymore Sarah was starting to see the appeal of moving somewhere warmer.
Instead of visiting a bakery or a warm café, Sarah found herself wondering into a bar. Perusal, only the odd were within the warm walls. Brute men and sly women hogging up around the bar.
Without a step of hesitance she took her seat at the bar, the two brooding men beside her looked as if they should have scared her off. Yet when they tried to comment on Sarah's seat she simply sent a cold glare. Towards them, a wordless death threat of silence.
When the men backed off, they ultimately decided to move seats completely. In turn a younger gentleman took their seats.
Sarah didn't acknowledge him, something seemed off about it, yet she couldn't place her finger quite on it. The man took a glance to her, his fluffier Blonde hair radiating a familiar tone.
"You seemed troubled..." the man purred, sending Sarah into a eyeroll. Typical men. She thought, knowing exactly where this was leading.
"Don't think like that." The man said, his green eyes flashing slightly as a warning. "I'm only here to hear out a strangers problem... I'm hear to help." He mused.
Although Sarah was offset and held the high urge to not tell a thing to this man. Something told her it was worth it. She needed to get it off her chest.
So she did.
And through that, she felt her nerves lessen. With layer, and layer dropped about Technoblade, his wife, his family, everything. She felt a silver lining.
Something that should have stuck out to her however, was when she went on about Technoblade, the Man seemed to just know everything about him. Even things she didn't know- things that seemed future related. It was odd.
Yet here she found herself, drink in hand, explaining her problems to a lost man at a bar. Through the end of her rant, the only thing he had to say was "Men are hard, but im sure you've herd it before..." at the line she shrugged and looked to her glass.
The swirling bourbon within held her reflection, but something eerier about it, was when she glanced to the man inside the glass. The reflection, although looking exactly like the man beside her, when looking closer she saw halo's crossing over his face, Golden beams of bended light.
When she looked back to the man, he was looking at her unamused. "You know, there is a saying out there, that you may find, useful..." the man said.
You can take all you want, but not who I am
"What is the saying..." Sarah asked cautiously, now alarmed from the mans reflection. She watched the man take a drink before smiling- almost sinisterly.
"The Darker the Weather, the Better the Man" he said. Sarah gave a odd look to him, not understanding, but it didn't take long for the man to elaborate. "Say something hardens the man your talking about. Something that will truly drive him cold. He may turn out better than you expected. After all, weaklings rarely survive war." The man said casually.
The line rang around inside Sarah's mind, what could make techno so cold, that he refused to go home. The man watched her, trying his best to hide the wicked smile he held.
But the darker the weather, the better the man
And then it hit her. Almost like sheer brilliance, it hit her dead on.
You can take all you want, but not who I am
The letters to you.
You can't have my-
Tumblr media
When Wilbur was tasked with waking you up, it was easy to say he was always overjoyed. With techno being absent from your side, Wil always tried his best to make you smile. Sometimes even Tommy would tag along.
Of course, Tommy didn't understand the severity of the moment how heartbroken and lost you felt, but he could easily tell you were sad at the least. So he also tried to cheer you up.
Sun shines through an open window
So on days he woke you, he would often run into Technoblade room, your silhouette laying within the oversized bed. He often viewed it as misplaced for how lonely your body looked.
But that didn't ever stop him from pulling the curtains open, the light rarely shined brightly through the glass, but in the end it did allow more light within. Well Wilbur pulled the curtains, tommy would often bounce on your bed, doing his best to make you smile.
Close the curtains real slow to hide the light
Although you would hide your face and try to hide, tommy wouldn't stop his smiling and joyful laugh. Yet Wilbur would always watch how your eyes would linger to techno's side of the bed. Wilbur hadn't seen the letters between you and techno, but he always saw how they tore you up. Whatever he was saying was hurting you, and Wilbur despised it.
But in time, maybe I can change it
At the least Wilbur was thankful you had Orion beside you, he was able to calm most of your haywire nerves. Of course, Wilbur never liked how close he was to you. But, he understood it was a time where you just needed someone.
We'll find someone who feels the same as me
Wilbur saw how you tried to hide your pain, your long nights spent crying, the days you refused to eat, the way you refused to acknowledge techno's lost presence. It was obvious who you were not on good terms.
Wilbur couldn't help his curiosity, he knew it was wrong, yet he did it anyway. When you had left your office for bed Wilbur snuck in, it was the first time he was in Technoblade office alone. The sword you made held high on the wall, truthfully it was poetic.
On a plaque underneath it, was lettering inscribed "the Empress" like the embodied empress, the sword similarly hung alone. With care he slid into your chair, slowly pulling the letters out to read.
You broke me down and stole my soul
And oh was his pissed. For good reason, he saw why everyone was so upset with him.
Left me vacant and all alone
Tumblr media
Out of everyone, Orion was the one to see you at your worst. Never had he assumed he would have been so close to someone that he would have gave everything to take your pain away. It left his blood boiling to see you hurt the way you were.
Months of being alone, feeling lost, unloved, unwelcomed. It truly left him with a burning hate. Orion knew he could treat you so much better, that he could take care and provide for you and your infant child.
Over the time techno was gone, he felt he was the only commander to truly hate his leader. Hate what he puts others through, he hated the sorrow he brought along.
But the darker the weather, the better the man
But nothing compared to the pure rage Orion felt when he herd what techno did to you. When you all rested at Foolish's summer home, you didn't lay with techno right off the bat, instead you explained what happened between techno and you.
And Orion was livid.
Techno had put his hands on you- had put his hands on your throat. Orion felt every bone in his body scream to get even. No one raises a hand to those they love, it was just a unspoken law. Orion would have taken to Technoblade as well, only thing holding him back was your tender soft words.
"Please don't- please Orion... let it stay between us..." you begged to him. Soft doe eyes pleading to the Enderian.
You can take all you want, but not who I am
Although it gnawed at Orion’s heart, he respected your call and left it lie. But that didn't stop what fallowed.
With the Enderian's blood flowing strong with rage, emotion, and the urge to defend, he couldn't help the way his eyes slit with the dragons hue, the blood curdling purple that drove fear into those around him.
You were far down the hall, everyone was asleep, it was a perfect time to let everything go.
You can't have my
And go he did..
He had never felt it, even though his blood ran with the Enderian's, he had never felt his anger hit the point of breaking.
The point that others forewarned him about. The point where his jaw would dislocate and his skin would tear open to allow the canines of a monster to show.
It wasn't a side he thought he had.
You can't have my
Yet when the thought laced through his mind again. The thought of techno putting his hands on you, he felt the pop, and the blinding rage that fallowed. Throwing the nearest object as he let the curdling scream out.
You can't have my soul
Tumblr media
When techno undressed for the night, he couldn't explain the shame and hurt that he felt. He couldn't meet his own gaze within the mirror. He knew you were willing to bathe with him again. Lay for the night and try and wish it to be what it once was.
But he knew he Hurt you. He knew it wasn't his direct doing, but he was involved- he took it too far.
He could still see the nail marks from where you grabbed his face, he hoped it wasn't the same for your neck.
He didn't deserve you.
He knew it. The way he lashed and you too willing asked him to bathe with you like it was over. You taking his hands, his face his body into your hands, you were truly too wonderful. To amazing for him.
But the darker the weather, the better the man
When you stepped into the bathroom he saw your tired eyes, your arms firmly around Thena. He saw how attached you were to her. She was your world, she was the world techno wanted to live with.
Techno knew he had no right to ask to hold her, not after what he had done to his tiny family. Yet he couldn't help but want to feel you and her in his arms. He wanted to redeem himself and show you he was worthy enough to protect you both.
You can take all you want, but not who I am
After all he was still your husband and her father in the end, it was his job, his one thing he cannot mess up. He knew others were on the line. Others more important than a endless battalion, you were his wife, his life, the mother of his daughter.
You were his world.
But the darker the weather, the better the man
So from that day, he swore. Dare anyone lay a hand on his wife, and daughter. He would raise hell upon them.
He would never loose you too like he almost did.
You can take all you want, but not who I am

Can you do hcs for how fantasy au Bakugou would progress through his relationship with the reader? I understand if you cant do this request because its too vague or something, I just don't really know what I want because all I know is I want fantasy bakugou but I haven't read very many fics of him.
I’m making this take place in the same universe as this fic from my 1 year event to make it easier on myself! And bc i liked that fic too much to let it end there. I strongly suggest reading that fic first, as these hcs are entirely based upon it! Let’s get some backstory goingggg~
Also oop this got rlly long lmao
Tumblr media
FANTASY!BAKUGOU KATSUKI
As a magic user, you were proud of how self-sufficient you were. Living in the woods alone wasn’t too bad. You had your cottage, your garden, and enough animals in the forest to keep you company whenever you were bored. You had spells casted all around your house to ward off any unwanted visitors.
It wasn’t the worst life, but some days you found yourself wondering if you could do something more with your life. You were blessed with the ability to use magic, after all. Was it wrong for you to keep your talents all to yourself, using them for menial tasks like enchanting your kitchenware to assist you with cooking, or catching fish with a simple wave of your hand?
There wasn’t exactly anyone around to tell you otherwise.
Loud noises were a rarity where you lived, which was why you were startled out of your mind when a loud crash came from somewhere outside. You sighed. You really didn’t want to have to do any mind-wiping this early in the morning.
Trudging through the woods, you squinted through the trees in the direction of the noise, casting an invisibility spell over yourself as you left the border of the spells cloaking the area around your house and garden.
You didn’t know what it was you expected to see. Maybe a lost squad of knights from a nearby kingdom. Maybe a rogue animal new to this land.
You didn’t expect a red, fire breathing dragon.
“Haven’t seen one of those in a while,” you murmured, edging forward to get a closer look. Something about this dragon was...off. Not completely a dragon, but... “Ah. A shifter? I haven’t seen one...ever.”
Your invisibility spell on yourself couldn’t hide you completely, proven by how the dragon sniffed the air in your general direction, occasionally shifting around from its spot on the ground. You didn’t really care, your main concern being the safety of the forest if this shifter decided to light something on fire.
The small clearing the dragon was in was small, way too small for their large body. Why didn’t they change back?
Another turn of the dragon and you spotted it. A large gaping wound along the dragon’s forearm and side that would for sure prove fatal if they shifted back into their human form. Cloth was messily wrapped around part of the injury, but it was on the verge of falling apart by the dragon’s constant movement in the tight space.
You were okay at healing magic, having taken pity on birds, deer, and one time a mountain cat that needed help, but you had never tried to heal anything as large as a dragon.
Resolving yourself as to what you were about to do, you released the invisibility spell and crept forward through the trees. The dragon’s gaze immediately snapped to you as you appeared, eyes narrowing as you held your hands up to signify you meant no harm.
You cast a quick side glance at those rather sharp claws you were sure would be utilized in an instant if you messed up. “You’re a shifter, right?” you asked in an attempt to loosen the situation. “That’s quite a nasty wound you have, there. I can stop the bleeding, just enough so you can transform back without dying. I’m a magic user, you see.”
You had just begun to work your magic on the dragon, focusing so hard you didn’t notice the entrance of a second figure through the trees.
“What are you doing to Kirishima?”
You yelped and looked over with wide eyes at where a man with spiky blond hair and a warm-looking red cloak was glowering at you, sword pointed menacingly at you. “W-wait, hold on, I’m not--”
The shifter, Kirishima, turned his head toward the newcomer and made a reassuring noise in the back of his throat, nodding towards where you were trying to multitask with healing him and wondering if you could run away fast enough before this angry looking blond could reach you with that sword.
Luckily, his friend (you were assuming they were friends) seemed to relax, and marched over to stand behind you. “Are you healing him?”
“Um, yes,” you said, a little off-put at how aggressive his voice was. “I’m stopping the bleeding for now, just so he can change back where it’ll be easier for me to help him.”
It was hard, trying to use your magic well while someone was breathing down your neck, but in the end you managed it, and Kirishima the dragon transformed into an unconscious red-haired man on the forest floor.
You led the blond, (you learned his name was Bakugou) to your home, holding the door open for him so he could carry his friend inside. You had never had visitors before. It was an odd feeling, letting two people you had just met into your most protected area.
“So...what happened to you two?”
“Tch. It’s none of your business. Just heal my friend and we’ll be out of your hair.”
So rude. He could at least give you something interesting to think about while you tried to heal him. However, you had exhausted your magic for that day, not used to straining yourself to this extent. You couldn’t even remember the last time you had used up this much of your magic.
Bakugou did not look happy about that, and you winced under the force of his glare. You suggested he get some rest and you could continue healing his friend in the morning, but despite your reassurances about the protective spells around your house, he ignored your offer of making him a room in your house (quite literally, as making extra rooms for fun only to remove them later was one of your favorite pastimes. You don’t talk about the goose room, though.) and stomped out your door to “keep watch.”
Over the next couple of days, you watched happily as Kirishima regained consciousness, his wound improving steadily. You got along quite well with the shifter, who was always willing to talk to fill the silence while you worked on his side. How could someone as cheerful as him be friends with such a grump like Bakugou?
“Ehh, you get used to it,” he laughed once you had asked him that. “But he’s really protective of his friends, and cares for them a lot! I bet he’ll open up to you, soon.”
Hah. You wish. Bakugou was rarely in the house, always eating whatever you had prepared for them in the morning quickly despite your hard work at making it look aesthetic and nice.
You learned that the two of them traveled the world together, stopping raids from demons attacking several villages. “You would think that they would turn tail and run at the sight of me,” Kirishima huffed. “But no. I get a spear to the side instead. That’s not manly at all.”
“Did you mean, dragon-ly?”
“Oh, yeah!”
He also listened to you with sympathy at how you had been living here alone for a majority of your life, living off your magically sustained garden. “You live alone? Doesn’t that get boring?”
You shrugged. “You get used to it.”
Kirishima got a shiny glint in his eye you didn’t like. “Hey, Bakugou! What if we take Y/n with us!”
“No way.”
“Come on...they’re a magic user! Think about how helpful that would be to have on our side!”
“Yeah, and one more I have to worry about keeping alive.” Katsuki rolled his eyes. “No thanks.”
The two of them bickered for a while while you wrapped new bandages around Kirishima’s arm and torso. The thing was, when Kirishima had suggested you go with them, your heart had leaped with joy. Seeing the world beyond your little cottage and forest? That didn’t sound too bad. After all, making random rooms in your house could only be a sufficient change of scenery for so long. Wasn’t this the chance you had been dreaming of? A chance to make a difference and actually help people?
“I’d love to go with you,” you blurted out, blushing at Bakugou’s crimson eyes now fixed on you instead of your patient. “I’ll be useful, I swear.”
He bet you’d be begging to go back home within the first week of traveling with them, and that only made you want to go even more.
In what seemed like no time at all Kirishima was fully healed, and you were seated atop his dragon form’s back behind Bakugou, who had practically snarled at you when you tried to sit in front of him. You were honestly scared to try to hold on to him as Kirishima prepared for takeoff. A part of you couldn’t believe this was happening. This had got to be the most impulsive decision you had ever made in your entire life. You were finally going to see the world!
Adjusting to the nomadic life was probably the hardest part, even harder than having to deal with Bakugou 24/7. However, you proved yourself to be reliable in a pinch, always watching out for your two comrades whenever a demon raid occurred. You had never thought about using your magic to attack before, as you had really only needed it to grow your plants and protect your house. But...you adapted quickly enough, and the grateful smiles of the villagers as they eagerly thanked you made it all worth it.
You weren’t sure when exactly the barrier between you and Bakugou broke. You had always seen him watching you out of the corner of your eye whenever you laughed with Kirishima or indulged little kids from villages with your magic. Only the elders of the villages dared to approach Bakugou himself, his rugged appearance and constant leer driving all of the younger folk away.
But if you had to take a wild guess at when he began to warm up to you, it would have probably been after a rather intense demon attack that Kirishima had managed to track just in time. You were dead tired after the whole ordeal, exhausted from using so much of your magic over a long period of time. You wanted to sleep so badly, but you were afraid if you did, you’d slip off Kirishima’s scaly back and plummet to the ground before either of them noticed.
“If you’re that tired, you can hold onto me. Or whatever,” Bakugou had unexpectedly scoffed from his position in front of you, not bothering to turn around to acknowledge you fully.
“Oh my God. Thank you so much,” you mumbled, collapsing forward to wrap your arms around his warm torso, head resting on his back and his steady heartbeat lulling you to sleep. Sure, part of you was aware that your fingers were brushing over his bare stomach, but you were too tired to care.
After that, he thankfully allowed you to rest on him more often. His body heat was better than any blanket, and you honestly sometimes wished Kirishima would just keep flying forever, just so you could cuddle up against Bakugou and that caramel scent you never knew he emanated just a little longer.
“You’re really something, you know that?” Kirishima joked one day while Bakugou left to retrieve some firewood (despite your offers, he always refused to let you use your magic to get it). “He wouldn’t let just anyone rest on him like that. Didn’t I tell you you’d grow on him?”
You smiled sheepishly down at your lap from where you sat cross-legged on the grass. “I hope you’re right.”
“Hey, hey, what’s up with that smile?” Eyes widening, Ejirou plopped down in front of you to further interrogate you.
“What? Can’t I be happy that Bakugou doesn’t hate me?”
“We’ve been friends for two years, Y/n. He’s way past hating you at this point. No...it’s something else.” He tapped his fingers together contemplatively.
“What are you two losers talking about?” Katsuki growled as he emerged from the trees.
“Nothing!” you and Kirishima exclaimed at the same time.
Something else? What else was there besides your friendship with Bakugou you had worked so hard to create? So what if you found yourself overthinking every conversation you had with him despite the fact you’d known each other for so long? So what if your heart skipped a beat whenever he would raise his elbows slightly before Kirishima would take flight, a silent invitation that you could hold onto him even if you weren’t that tired?
What else was there besides...romantic love?
...
Crap.
Fine, say you did admit you liked him, maybe more than a friend should. What if your confession just made things weird? You wouldn’t be able to bear always being around him. What if you had to go back home to your small forest? After seeing all the wonders of the world atop Kirishima, how could you return to a life of solitude?
For the sake of your friendship with Bakugou and Kirishima, which you wouldn’t give up for anything, you decided it would be better for everyone if you said nothing and continued on like normal.
Then you got injured during a raid.
Better you than him, you reasoned before deciding to take the blow meant for him. You had never seen Bakugou that angry before, not when Kirishima had gotten hurt, not even when he got hurt himself.
He had quite literally exploded all over you once the three of you were out of harm’s way, berating you for not being more careful, didn’t you know that you could have gotten killed?
Bakugou stormed off into the woods, leaving you and Kirishima to set up camp by yourselves.
If you’ve read the fic, you know what happened next ;)
After that kiss, the two of you finally acknowledged how important the two of you were to each other. Sure, he still was an annoying prick who scarfed whatever food you made down quick no matter how much effort you put into making it look nice, but he was your annoying prick.
The three of you looked after each other like always...just many more kisses were exchanged between you and Bakugou. The two of you slept side by side each night, you cuddling up against his warm frame whether you were on the ground or in the air.
He even let you sit in front of him atop Kirishima one time, opting to have his arms protectively around you and his face buried in your hair.
“Now that’s true love right there,” Kirishima had commented later on, only to receive a smack on his head by Katsuki himself.
You never regretted leaving your old home in the forest. You had a new home with Bakugou and Kirishima, after all.
And that was better than any kind of magic you could produce.

"A kiss like bite" - Cicero x F!Vampire!Listener [Smut]
Tumblr media
Warnings: Smut, public sex, a little bit of cockwarming I guess?, voice kink, Cicero might be OOC idk I dont know what to expect from him
For a place as cold as Dawnstar, the sun felt scorching on the Listener's exposed skin. She felt like her face was going to melt off. Surely her corpse-like complexion had obtained a hot red color by now. She had been grouchy ever since she and Cicero left the sanctuary under the order of Nazir, who stated they were in desperate need of supplies. Why he didn't send the apprentices, you ask? Well, natural selection played it's part and the ones that didn't show themselves as skilled as others were...disposed of to say the least. Those who remained were sent after contracts accordingly to their skill, which left the oldest members to look after the sanctuary and lounge as much as they wanted.
But the Listener would rather fight a thousand mercenaries, a hundred Ebony warriors and Alduin all at once instead of staying out in this scorch. "Nazir thinks he can boss me around." She murmured under her nose angrily "Why couldn't he get the supplies? Doesn't he know about my condition!"
Cicero, on the other hand, was shivering from the cold next to her. "Cicero thinks Nazir knows about the condition far too well..." he stated "Is the Listener sure she isn't just mad at Nazir for taking Auriel's bow away from her?" The girl stopped and shot Cicero a glare "I...Ugh!" She stuttered, not knowing what to say. Sure, she overused Auriel's bow while she still had it, shot arrows at the sun at the very crack of dawn and probably left Tamriel in a constant eclipse with a vampire infestation, but what of it! Nazir's words still echoed in her mind "All this power went to your head, girl! I'm not giving this to you until you learn how to act properly or as you said once "like the common rabble". And don't you dare try to steal it back." And with that, tucked Auriel's bow somewhere secret.
She had great respect for Nazir and would never even think about hurting him. Maybe he was right. She was the Dragonborn that defeated Alduin, killed the most powerful warrior in Skyrim, killed the first dragonborn in combat in a Daedric realm, she was the leader of the Thieves' guild, Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, Harbringer of the Companions, had all the Jarls in her back pocket, all the Daedra owed her a favor, ended the Civil war, killed a Vampire lord and gained the ability to block off the sun AND studied the Way of the Voice from a dragon. Maybe all the power went to her head.
"Would the Listener feel better if sweet, sweet Cicero lets her bite his neck?" He offered. The girl looked up at him, as if looking for signs of regret or anything that would mean he didn't really want it. None. Her kind, loving Cicero was as sincere as ever with her. Always looking after her wellbeing and always ready to serve. She grabbed his hand, dragging him behind a nearby house, away from prying eyes. She pressed him against the wooden wall and kissed his neck, before sinking her teeth in the tender flesh.
Cicero shivered in pleasure and let out a quiet moan. The listener gripped the front of his shirt as she let mouthfuls of the crimson liquid flood her mouth. Her eyes rolled in the back of her head in ecstacy. His blood was always so sweet, so enticing. "Listener..." his voice came out in a low, erotic groan that made heat pool inbetween her legs. Oh, how she loved her jester...
When she felt she had enough, she pried her teeth away from the wound and licked it clean, before kissing her way up to his lips. He tasted his own blood on her tongue. His hands trailed up her thighs, gripping her through the fabric of her clothes. "Cicero..." she moaned quietly, making the jester chuckle darkly.
"Oh, Listener, what a naughty mind you have." Cicero's voice was barely a whisper "So needy... and in the middle of town in broad daylight." He clicked his tongue and lifted her smaller figure, pressing it firmly against the wall, his body flush against hers and wrapped her legs around his waist. She felt his growing bulge through his pants. "Cicero lives to serve, my night flower." The dark tone in his voice when he would get aroused always had the effect to instantly make her want to submit, beg and ready to do anything he wants of her even if he didn't say anything in particular. "But..." he buried his face in her hair, inhaling deeply "We need to keep quiet." He giggled again "Oh, what fun. What a thrill."
The Listener squirmed against him, desperate for his touch. "Tsk." He bit her shoulder harshly "What did Cicero just say?" The keeper proceeded to pull apart her shirt, just enough to expose her breasts and let his hands caress up her body to cup and squeeze them. She bit her lip, trying to contain her moans. Her blood boiled but she wasn't sure if it was because of the sunlight or because of the erotic moment the two were sharing. At the very least, the sun was in such a position that it shone in front of the house, casting a shade right where they were.
Cicero didn't linger long, before slowly pulling down her pants and undergarments. He revelled in the sight of her face, flushed with arousal, her body twisting and squirming in need of his touch... and her dripping wet cunt. His Listener needed him and he was ready to serve. Just as he freed his member from the confinement of his trousers, a devilish thought crossed his mind. "My dear Listener, my beautiful little night flower..." he kissed her neck, whispering in her ear as he guided himself inside her "You always get so aroused when Cicero lets you drink his blood." The listener whimpered quietly, burying her nails in his shoulders.
As soon as he was fully inside of her, Cicero let out a shaky breath and stopped moving completely. A sly smirk on his face. "C-Cicero..." she started, but he cut her off. "Shh." Soon enough, she heard footsteps approaching and merry voices talking. Two men were telling each other stories. The girl gasped but Cicero covered her lips with his own, muffling any sound. The men stopped right before the house they were hiding behind.
Cicero pulled away from the kiss and started grinding himself against her body, his cock still fully inside her, all while while kissing her jawline. The listener desperately tried to hold in her moans, cursing the intruders to Oblivion and back. "Don't utter a sound, my sweet." She could hear the smirk in Cicero's voice. He was enjoying this!
He proceeded to leave hickeys all over her neck and breasts, driving her absolutely mad, because he still wasn't doing what she wants him to do and it was becoming very hard to keep quiet. "When we get back..." The keeper spoke "Cicero will, mm... take his time in pleasuring every part of his dear, beloved Listener..." his fingers found her clit and began massaging and pinching it "Make sure to eat you out... leave just a bit more bite marks on you... But you won't come right away, oh no."
Yes, he was enjoying this far too much. Whispering filthy things in her ear, while fingering her with his dick stiff inside her, all the while keeping quiet because of the unsuspecting people around. Suddenly the voices became distant as stars emerged in front of her eyes. She was so close... Just a bit more...
"Just like now."
That phrase made her want to scream. Because as soon as the jester said it, he stopped all movement and just watched her smugly. For a man who is presumably insane, he became exceptionally serious during sex and knew exactly what his Listener wanted and how he could tease her.
Perhaps with a bit of coaxing... "Cicero..." she put on her most flattering, irresistible face, as her hands traveled up his chest, around his neck and into his red hair "Oh, my darling Keeper, please, don't leave your Listener waiting... I need this..." Cicero stared, mesmerized at his love, a look of utter adoration in his eyes. He could never say no to her...
In the distance, the voices seemingly disappeared, meaning the two men had left. But none the matter, as Cicero slowly started grinding against her lower body, building up speed to start thrusting. His eyes never left her's. It wasn't long before she was close again, letting her breath come out in short pants, as she squeezed his member and came all over him, lips parted in a silent moan and eyes closed. Cicero came shortly after, filling her up with his cum, his head buried in the crook of her neck.

Two-Faced Jewel: Session 10
Connections
Tumblr media
A half-elf conwoman (and the moth tasked with keeping her out of trouble) travel the Jewel in search of, uh, whatever a fashionable accessory is pointing them at. [Campaign log]
Last time, the party arrived in Cauterdale, the heavily-fortified port city at war with nature. They arrived in search of members of the Deathseekers' Guild- the organization of professional adventurers and monster-hunters that likes to be very up-front about its mortality rate- to handle a dragon problem that they're personally a little underleveled for.
While Looseleaf had a fateful encounter with the Plot at the Temple of Andra, Saelhen and Oyobi were headed to the barracks of the city guard, to speak to "Mags", the guard on duty when the local Deathseekers were last seen leaving town. And there...
You remember Medd Cutter, right? Highly-memorable Medd Cutter, the NPC who got oneshot by a T-rex and whose life the party saved? Well, to spite Rex... whatever his last name was, the pro-patria-mori asshole guard captain guy, Saelhen has decided that she's going to start spreading the word of Medd's heroism.
Oyobi, unfortunately, is bent on spreading the word of her own extremely ill-advised heroism, and so the two are having some sort of hype-off as they make their way into the barracks and effortlessly charm their way past the guards to where their quarry is posted.
Tumblr media
These two are manning some sort of huge brass contraption, bristling with lenses and dials. One of them is a yuan-ti pureblood- which there are an unusual number of in the city guard, compared to the general population. Weird. Saelhen politely introduces herself, and Verity Truescale refers them to Magnaranth aka Mags, the loxodon who last saw the Deathseekers leave town.
Mags doesn't have a huge amount to tell them- the Deathseekers, evidently, were going hunting, out east somewhere. They brought a lot of torches, so apparently they were headed somewhere dark? Underground, maybe? They were pretty cagey about what exactly they were going out to do. Still, Mags can provide the names and addresses of the Deathseekers in question.
...And Verity, checking the instruments, notices that something is wrong with the tides- apparently something large is disturbing the waters, but they can't quite pinpoint what- it's not any of the usual suspects, which include things by the name of "Darkie" or "Unnessie". Ominous!
After that, the party meets up at the local Temple of Iska, their designated rendezvous point. They catch each other up on their gains, and decide... well, the Deathseekers are going to be back within a couple days, so they'll just wait for them in town and get going with them, to make sure things in Barley and Wheat go smoothly.
Of course, the question then is "where do we stay?"
Options aren't great- Cauterdale is crowded, and the B&B market is incredibly shitty. The best lodging is on Eman's Knee, the island just off the coast of Cauterdale, but getting the ferry over there is expensive, and resort lodging on a tropical island is also expensive.
Tumblr media
That- you can't just- I mean, just because- I'm- I'm allowed to be predictable, okay???
(And anyway, it's Corolos where I ended up doing a murder mystery.)
So, Looseleaf gets a 24 investigating the town's B&B market, and finds a pretty good place! It's a weapons shop Saelhen noticed earlier, which is renting out rooms. The place has a huge fence topped with spikes, so they probably won't even get robbed!
Aria of War, as it happens, is run by an elderly yet ripped-as-hell tabaxi man, who Saelhen... vaguely recognizes.
Tumblr media
Benedict I. (GM): So, this shopkeeper's coat is familiar to you. It's definitely not the same person, but you once knew a girl in Timber Towers named Toothbrush, with almost the exact same coat. Could be a relative! Saelhen du Fishercrown: Yeah, tabaxi have a lot of coat variation; it's not a safe bet that they're related, but Saelhen is willing to go out on a limb with him. "Good evening, sir, and I'm sorry to bother you, but I felt I had to ask..." Fish Especially: "No discounts." Saelhen du Fishercrown: "Do you have any relation to a..." Was Toothbrush her real name? Benedict I. (GM): As far as you know! Tabaxi have weird names. Saelhen du Fishercrown: "Toothbrush?" Fish Especially: He looks surprised. "Hold on, you know Toothbrush?" Saelhen du Fishercrown: "...I knew I knew that speckle pattern." Saelhen smiles widely and without guile. "I met her in Timber Towers a while back. She played the violin." "More specifically, she couldn't play the violin, but she always failed very effectively." Fish Especially: "I'll be! Her theatre troupe doing all right for itself, then?" "Even with the noise of that awful thing?" "I never know what to think when she writes those letters..." Saelhen du Fishercrown: "Last I saw of them, they were doing pretty well for themselves! To be honest, I did a stint with them for a bit, they wanted advice on a traditional elven piece..." Saelhen leans in on her elbows. "Oh, she mangled it, but she compensated with charm and that one face. Her confident face, you know the one, where you think she's so confident that maybe it's supposed to sound like that?" Fish Especially: He laughs. "You do know my girl!" "She hasn't written in- I think a year, now. How's she been?" Saelhen du Fishercrown: "Oh, it's been so long, I'm barely an authority by now -- but I remember she was talking about taking classes in -- what was it..." "...oh, where are my manners -- I'm Saelhen du Fishercrown, it's a pleasure." Saelhen reaches out for a very unelven handshake.
That she says this is notable for one big reason: this is the first time she's used her real name, and not "Lady Noeru de la Surplus". Nobody else in the party has heard this before!
It's also notable because according to Fish Especially, Toothbrush thought Saelhen was dead- and he's going to let her know otherwise.
Anyway, the deal for rooms goes through without incident, and the night also goes without incident! As is entirely normal, they hear Vayen in the halls making some sort of attempt to sneak into Saelhen's room in the night... and this time, sighing and going "never mind" without even attempting to pick the lock for some reason.
In the morning... Looseleaf grills Saelhen on the name thing, and she confesses the truth of the matter to the whole party- who take it fairly well.
Tumblr media
After team bonding, the party heads to the Temple of Andra to check in and see if the Deathseekers have showed up. And by the stablehand's account, they have- or at least, a bunch of weird old people showed up to meet with Gabbro.
Gabbro seems surprised to see them- he was under the impression that they'd leave the matter to them. The further involvement of the party should be unnecessary, right...?
Looseleaf: "Oh, yeah, I was going to let you know we were staying in town and ask for you to let us know when the deathseekers showed up, but, uh, judging by that meeting we interrupted, they're already back and right here." Gabbro: "That is correct," he says, as the stablehand leaves. "I was just briefing them on the mission, you see." "The situation is well in hand, so you needn't concern yourselves with it any longer." "That pesky dragon shouldn't be an issue." Looseleaf: "W-well, uh. I was, uh, we were, kiiiinda hoping to travel with you back to the dragon's tower." "I mean, it's our quest, so, it'd be nice to, for us to see it happening so we can be sure of it, y'know?" Gabbro: He looks somewhat taken aback. "That... seems... risky, don't you think?" "To bring along... certain... people?" Looseleaf: "We're going to stay very very far away from the action! We're not that dumb!" Saelhen du Fishercrown: "...I assure you that we have no intention of fighting the dragon ourselves, sir." Gabbro: "Ah, yes, of course not..." "However..." He gives Looseleaf a pleading look. Saelhen du Fishercrown: "And there are... certain persons in the nearby town, whose safety I would like to check up on. Personally." Looseleaf: He doesn't seem to want people witnessing the fight? It could be explicable through just, him being worried we'll get hurt. But it could also be, 'their deathseekers fight with methods that Orluthe in particular should not be allowed to witness.' Gabbro: "Ah, well, if that's the case... if you don't mean to get involved with the Deathseekers and their work..." Looseleaf: "We're not going to- we don't want any claim to the loot in the tower either, if that's a problem! Everything in the tower is you and your group's prerogative to deal with however we like."
Gabbro seems... put slightly more at ease, and decides to introduce the group to the ones who'll be their traveling companions shortly- the Cauterdale Deathseekers.
Tumblr media
In order:
Doon Softbreeze, half-halfling rogue and all-around Grunkle Stan-type, friendliest with the party.
Kevin Softbreeze, Doon's soft-spoken herbalist husband and that's it, probably, just a gardener.
John Human, an extremely decrepit extremely human man who seems to make weird buzzing sounds when he speaks, as if with mouthparts instead of human lips.
Ryuusatsu Takuma, totally silent elf (not present at this meeting with Gabbro) who probably just doesn't like talking, is all.
Lady Fidelia Greatholder, heavily-armored and heavily-everything human noblewoman (also not present at this meeting), who- well, she shows up next session.
Gabbro makes a point of making clear to those present that Orluthe, who they'll be traveling with, is a cleric of Diamode- apparently they need to know this for some reason!
Doon's pretty friendly with the party, and offers to take on their job pro-bono- on the basis that, c'mon, if they could actually afford them, they wouldn't be knocking on their door for help. So it looks like they've enlisted some highly-capable dragonslayers with no ulterior motives! Fantastic.
Next time: The road back to Barley, and the tying up of a few loose ends in town. Saelhen needs to get her kimono back!

The Beginning- Part Seven (Final)
Tumblr media
Livi walked along the path, her eyes growing heavy. She wanted to rest but knew that if she stopped now she might never rise up again. She had been SO far, through each challenge guiding her along the way to somewhere- a place that would hopefully be the crossroads. The gateway back to the other side.
She came upon the edge of a great mountain range. Crystalline and towering above her. As she walked up a hill to the edge of the cliff which overlooked the magnificent landscape, she witnessed a grand tree alight with fire. It was burning as if from within, not destroyed but fed by the very flames so that they were a part of it, nourishing every root and leaf. The tree glowed like a beacon, pulling her to it, and as she came upon its base she spied what appeared to be someone resting there among its branches.
Curious the elf approached, and the person rose to turn and look at her. Livi’s eyes widened as she took in the familiar form and she stumbled back a bit, catching on the hem of her dress before steadying herself and speaking aloud. “b-But...what are you doing here? You’re not supposed to be in this place Emberscar!”
She stared at the familiar Druid in disbelief.
Rain's eyes, glowing with the same fire alight in the tree, scanned over Livi soaking in every detail. She was unsure of how they'd both ended up here, since this was the in-between, and she was quite sure she was dead. But the complexity of life and it's intricacies was something to be pondered later. No, at this moment, all she wanted to do was gaze at the splendor of the dragoness standing before her.
Although an arduous journey was evident in Livi's appearance, her cold, ornate beauty was unchanged. Rain could not only see the pale skin and glowing eyes of her mortal form, but what was underneath it all, the dragon. Rain could see the beauty of her long neck and fearsome claws, her massive wings tucked together, the icy blue scales...and a large, soft heart. She could see all that was hidden..
"Hello, Livigosa," she spoke calmly. “I would love to say I came here for you, but the circumstances of my arrival here are...complicated."
Livi stared open mouthed at the Druid, trying to process everything that was going on. She walked up to her and looked at her face...thoughtful and calm. Same old Rainbrooke. Was this an illusion meant to tempt Livi and lead her astray? Or was the woman really here?
“But...to be here would mean...Rainbrooke, no..” her eyes widened as the reality sank in. “Please tell me you are just a vision. You can’t be here... “ her voice started breaking a bit. “Because if you’re here then that means that you too..” she couldn’t finish the thought.
Livi sank to the ground and fisted her hands in the earth. She was so very tired. She felt as if she had lived a lifetime in this place of endlessness. She felt as if she would never get out, never find her way back home. And now another person close to her love had been taken. The tears finally spilled from her eyes, the ones she had held in all this time trying to maintain her strength and bravery. They dropped onto the hem of her dress as she pulled her legs up to herself. “So many people need you back there. You’re a strong source of wisdom and comfort to the group...to Vincent.” Her voice cracked again. “And now you’ve left as well...and now they are even more alone.”
Livi rested her head on her knees and closed her eyes. Her voice was quiet...defeated “I tried so hard to get back to them...but it seems it’s too late. It seems I failed in everything.”
Rain glanced back at the burning tree behind her, searching for the right words. The truth was, she didn't completely understand it all herself. This was a journey she was not entirely prepared for. She didn't know how it all would end, but a voice, a feeling deep down inside, was telling her it would all be okay. Despite how things appeared and how hopeless everything seemed to be...somehow..someday....it would all be right again.
Her eyes wandered back to Livi, still curled up and weeping. Her pain and frustration was understandable and showed the dragon's truly loving nature, but Rain had to do something to get her up and moving. Even if Rain's life was at an end, she knew the dragon's wasn't.
Steadily she approached Livi and knelt down. She reached out and lifted the heavy, tear-stained chin until their eyes met.
"You have failed at nothing, dear Livi," her voice echoed loudly. “Here you are at the very precipice of life, only a few more steps to your destination. You've made the long journey here all on your own will, on your own desire and love for your friends and for Vincent." She wiped away several falling tears from the beautiful elven face. “And now, you must return to them.....They are waiting."
Livi listened to the Druids words, her own heart clenching. She felt Rain’s hands, so gentle on her face, wiping away the tears she had tried so hard to hide. And Livi’s eyes softened at her. She had that same way about her- that same steadfast patient way- that reminded Livi so much of Senegos . It was comforting and eased the dragon’s chaotic thoughts. Helped feed her back that strength that was such a part of Livi’s nature.
She looked at Rain, her face more determined even amidst the tear stains. “Tell me what I just do, Emberscar and I’ll do it. But...what about you? Are you really alright with your fate?”
Rain looked back up at the tree with a bright smile. “I...I don't know what is in store for me, but whatever it is, it will be amazing." The fires light reflected in her face as she took Livi's hand and guided her back to her feet. “You must do exactly as I tell you dragon. No deviation, no hesitation. Just trust."
Livigosa rose, taking rains hand. She looked up at the tree, her eyes taking it all in “It’s like...the fire keeps it alive...makes it stronger. It’s amazing, really.” She looked back at Rain. “It reminds me of you somehow, this tree. I...can’t explain it. When I first saw you my heart despaired to think that you had made it to this place...but now I see that this was your journey all along.” She put both her hands into Rain’s “I will do what you ask of me. I will trust in your will, Druid.”
Taking her small, delicate hand, Rainbrooke lead her directly towards the fiery tree. It's massive trunk and limbs all stood towering overhead. Livi would have to reach the top and Rain could not take her there. She would have to get there on her own strength. “Climb," she commanded.
Livi looked at Rain , her eyes widening for a moment, before a surety set in and she nodded. Reaching out tentatively, she made to touch the bark of the tree. It was warm to the touch but not scalding. The flames licking at her skin but not burning her. Livi moved her scratched bare feet to place them on the trunk, before grabbing at a nearby branch and hoisting herself up upon it. She wobbled and balanced precariously there for a moment, before she reached out and gripped at another, her feet slipping and skidding on the bark as she fought to hold on and scale the massive entity . The higher she got the hotter the flames were. The seemed to dry the very air in her throat but still she did not stop. She climbed.
Rain trailed behind her by only a foothold. She could see Livi struggling and hear her begin to pant for breath. “Don't stop, Livi. Keep going!" she cried out. And she would repeat these words each time the dragon began to tire or slow. “Don't stop. Keep going!" After what seemed like days they finally arrived at the upper most branches and they paused to rest. Rainbrooke positioned herself directly across from Livi so she could watch her, just for a few moments more. They were both panting and drenched in sweat.
“What now?” Livi called out as she clung to the uppermost branches and watched the Druid who had followed so close behind her, guiding her movements and preventing her from giving up. Livi gazed out at the horizon, the height allowing her to see for miles on end from her perspective . The landscape was vast and endless. The mountains breathtaking. She could feel the wind whipping about her dress and hair and causing the branches to sway slightly from where they perched so high above on a precarious edge. Looking down, Livi’s heart leapt into her throat as she could see a great expense plummet into a dark unknown beyond the cliffs face. To fall would mean no return.
“I would hope you call me friend Livigosa the Blue and remember me," Rain’s voice cracked slightly. She reached forward and wrapped the small elven woman up in her arms, cradling her. She would have to work quickly, so that Livi didn't try to stop her or interfere. “I want you to tell Vincent...that I kept my promise." Her hands clenched behind the dragon, summoning the hottest fire she'd ever conjured. This fire was coming from her soul....her....very....last....ember.
Livi heard the Druids words , and something inside her softened slightly. She looked at Rain, not understanding, but then the Druid leaned forward and wrapped her arms around the dragon. There was something inherently sad and final about it, and it pulled at Livi and made fresh tears form in her eyes as she buried her head into the crook of Rains neck, hugging her back tightly, something unfamiliar for the dragon to do.
As Rain spoke again Livi made to pull back but felt herself being held fast by the Druids arms. “Kept your...promise?” She asked , confused, before she felt an immense heat began to wrap around her. “Rain, what?...What are you doing?!” Livi cried out. She could feel this fire burning her from within, coating down into her very soul and wrapping around her heart. Trying to snake it’s way into it. It hurt. So badly. It was all Livi could do to stifle back a scream as she thrashed in Rains arms.
As Rain's hands blazed and heated, they became like red, hot pokers and her eyes began dripping with the same lavalike substance. “Trust!" she shrieked and thrust one hand to Livi's chest. The agonizing screams did not phase her as she pushed her molten hand through Livi's chest cavity and gripped her heart! It was not beating, simply existing in this place. With the final push of her little remaining power, Rainbrooke imparted the very last of her life to the blue dragoness, reigniting the motionless heart.
Feeling the last essence of life leave her, Rainbrooke watched as her hand began to disintegrate steadily. There was no time! She grabbed Livi up in her arms and with one heaving motion.....threw them both from the safety of the tree limbs...
Livi felt like every nerve ending inside of her was alight with fire. She was burning, burning....Rains heat eating her up from within. When the Druid thrust her hands inside Livi’s chest she screamed out in agony, her head falling back as her body went slack from the pain. Why was Rain doing this? Had she come this far only to be wiped away by a friend? Scorched in the flames so that nothing remained of her? It seemed cruel and unfair. As if Rain was making the choice for her to end everything and give up the fight to pass on...
But....she had asked Livi to trust her. And despite the torment and fear something small whispered in her mind to have faith. And so Livi released her grip on the Druids arm as she allowed herself to be burnt from within.
She felt Rains molten hands grip around her heart, felt the energy leave the Druids hands and infuse itself inside of her body . Rainbrooke picked Livi up as if she were a child and thrust her from the top of the tree. Livi fell over the cliff face and into the abyss, her eyes open and watching as Rainbrooke hit the ground at the cliffs edge and began to disintegrate.
Time seemed to slow in that moment as the two women watched one another. Livi falling backwards and down as Rain peered over at her. As Livi fell further down and away her eyes caught the last hint of a smile cross the Druids face, before she disappeared completely into ash and the cliff vanished from Livi’s vision.
She landed on the ground with a thud. Back into a place of nothingness, with no walls and no edges. Only this time there was a light here with her. Livi sat up slowly and looked at her chest. It was glowing from within now . She touched there and felt the warmth of her own heart beating. Could feel the link now that tethered herself back to her old body in the real world
While her mind was still unable to reach out. She could feel a hand brushing her cheek. Feel the ghost of lips at her forehead. “Vincent..” she whispered, putting her hands to her mouth as tears spilled from her eyes. She could feel him there now. Could feel everything that was happening to her back in the real world. Livi could sense that her strength had been returning. That her body was mended from what had been drained of it. Rain had rebuilt the link. Had reignited her stone heart. Just as Vincent had been repairing her body. All that was left now was to find a way to guide her mind back home.
“Thank you Emberscar” she whispered out into the void. And in the distance far away, she heard a screeching cry answer.

This might be a dumb questions but im so confused by this and I cannot for the life of me ask so I thought you might know lol. But how the hell did Amaya get to the border like four times as fast as Callum and such did, especially since she went back towards the castle after meeting them at the winter lodge??? Like she was there during season one and I'm half way through season 2 and the prince crew aren't there yet? I don't know if I've missed something but it's driving me mad. Pls help.
Honestly? Thats something Im kinda wondering as well.
From what I can tell it took the kids roughly two weeks to reach the border, give or take a few days, considering season 2 opens with Callum stating they’d been travelling for about a week, and during season 2 its indicated that several more days pass.
I don’t remember everything from both seasons perfectly so anyone feel free to correct me if Im wrong or miss something, but I’m gonna attempt to lay this out.
Warning: This gets kind of long. TLDR at the end.
Things to note about the kids journey:
Much of the journey has been travelled on foot, which would of course increase the travel time. The walking speed of three kids isnt gonna be that fast
They spent at least one day travelling by boat
Their journey was delayed because they spent a few days with Lujanne, if they hadn’t stopped they probably would have reached the border several days earlier
However they also spent what seems to be several hours travelling by Moon Phoenix, which is definitely faster than going on foot and probably made up for some of the delay
They travel by boat/ship again, for about 2 days, possibly more, instead of going around the body of water, cutting down on time
They seem to be delayed by perhaps another day or so before they reach the border
The kids are most likely trying to avoid crossing paths with anyone, avoiding risking Rayla being identified as an elf, or people searching for them, so definitely arent taking many main routes as far as I can tell, which means their path probably isnt the most direct
It takes the kids I think a day or two to reach Banther Lodge from the castle by foot
Things to note about Amaya’s journeys:
The most important thing to note I think is that Amaya has been travelling by horse, which is a faster method of travel than doing the entire journey on foot, so that would bring down the travel time
Amaya doesn’t have any reason to avoid the main roads/travel routes so she probably is taking a more direct path to the border and is less likely to be slowed down by difficult terrain?
Amaya definitely hasnt had as many stops/delays to the journeys as the kids have had to theirs
Amaya heads straight to Banther Lodge from the border. Im not sure how long it would have taken the bird to reach her with Harrows message, however I can only assume she began the journey right after receiving the news. The message was sent in the morning, so all in all roughly 3 days max (if I am remembering correctly) seem to pass before both the kids and Amaya reach the Banther Lodge.
Which suggests it took Amaya perhaps...two days?? to get to Banther Lodge on horseback, assuming the bird took a day to reach the border with the message?? It took her about the same amount of time to reach Banther Lodge from the border, a much greater distance, as it took the kids to reach Banther Lodge on foot from the castle. I dont know much at all about how fast horse travel is but even accounting for everything that seems confusingly fast
All in all it makes sense to me that it would take Amaya a lot less time to reach the castle from Banther Lodge than it took for the princes and Rayla to reach Banther Lodge from the castle given her access to a horse and the main roads. However its still a bit confusing how Amaya managed to reach the Banther Lodge so fast from the border even accounting for these factors. However I guess we can assume that by the time we see her at the border again in season 2 she had only recently returned to that post. Especially given the delays in the kids journey, I can see how she could make it back to the border before them.
Now here I’m also gonna pull up the map with the route I think the kids probably took:

The area I have circled is the kingdom of Katolis, as confirmed by the official website (where the border lies with the neighbouring kingdoms and how much of the border they share with Xadia is uncertain).
Tumblr media
Here I have circled the likely spots of key locations throughout the two seasons.
= The most likely area where the castle is located within. Banther Lodge is also very likely to be somewhere in this area, since there was a river located nearby
= Roughly where the Moon Nexus is located, as indicated by the official website
= The sea the princes and Rayla cross in season 2, however it is unclear at which point they cross from, it depends on where exactly the Moon Phoenix dropped them off
= The most likely part of the border that the kids reach
Its unclear where exactly the human castle/outpost at the border is located, however I’d guess that its further up than where the kids cross. We also don’t know whether Amaya took the entire journey on foot, going around the body of water, or whether part of the journey included a ship.
TLDR: Long post short, the speed of Amaya’s travel to and from the border doesn’t really make sense to me either, however it IS expected that she would have a faster travelling speed than the kids anyway considering she has a horse, and is probably taking main routes/proper roads.
Also the kids have had multiple delays to their journey, the biggest probably being their stay with Lujanne, while I doubt Amaya has had as many stops or stopped for such long stretches of time in her journey. Overall, it would be expected for her to go between the castle and border a lot faster than the kids, however it still doesn’t really account for just HOW fast she has been, in particular the speed at which she first reached Banther Lodge from the border.

.
You saw him sitting on the park bench, he almost looked unreal with that long white coat and turquoise beret. People would definitely believe if he said he's sort of messenger from the clouds, even you almost convinced myself about it, but the only thing made you believe that he was a human was that messed up burrito he had in his hands, struggling to eat.
“God made burritos as a punishment.” he said.
You didn't realize if he was talking to you, but you went beside him anyways, his aura was too welcoming and you just felt the push to walk towards him as like he was calling you.
“I'd like to disagree.” you said, as you sat beside him on the bench.
He threw his look at you, dragon eyes. Carried the disappointment about your reply.
“Maybe because you have nice and big mouth, I barely get to take the stuffings with the bread.”
“your problem.” you look at him. He was still looking at you, his eyes gradually softened and you you saw how a dragon turned into a crescent. He smiled. You didn't flinch but got struck by the smile, it's so beautiful that it left you smiling back.
“when was the last time you ate?” he asked you, left you weirded out a little bit. But maybe you managed to look very pale that's why it made him ask that, so you take a chill pill.
“yesterday at lunch, am I looking that dead tho?”
He smiled again, actually laughed, it carried the same energy to make you laugh back at him, you feel really weird how this guy is making you smile and laugh with just existing by your side, he's just like the sky. Doing nothing, going with the flow but creating little waves in your soul.
“your lips are so dry that anyone would understand that nothing went in your mouth for hours.” he pointed at your lips while saying so then took off his beret.
Silver hair, white attire, definitely not a human.
“do you plan on being so attractive everyday?”
He went so confused and furrowed his eye brows for a moment.
“yes I have a daily routine on impressing people, I've a dress up chart and it says order a burrito and struggle to death until a beautiful girl shows up and then take off your beret right after 3 minutes and 21 seconds while into the conversation.” he spoke so fast it almost sounded like rap and he said it so dramatically that it left you burst out laughing.
.
“you love yourself so much I see.”
“yes, it's not true if it ain't love, nothing is true if it's not love.” he looked in your eyes and shot the words.
“how is there love in vio:lence, it's a true shit right?” you were so much in defense. You just failed to go with the thought that the self harm you do has love in it.
“how's there love in self ha:rm? Bs.”
He turned fully at your direction, putting the eyes on you, which were powerfully soft, knows about what it's about to say.
“the people who choose vio:lence are exactly the ones who love vio:lence. They love it. That's why it's true. Not all kind of love is nice, but all kind of love is true. You do harm to yourself because you think it'll make you feel better, why'd you care about your own feelings if you hate yourself so much? You love you, somewhere inside, you are dyi::ng to love you.”
He did not just say the words like that, piercing each words into your soul like ice. It felt so obvious at the moment. You just kept looking at him, he's so much like an open book, it legit felt like a crime to hear his opinion for free.
People can think that way? Even if they can, how is it possible to word them just like that? Words flow through his mouth just like that?
.
“I will start to think you are in love if you don't stop staring at me like that.” he smiled again and his eyes went crescent just like it happened before.
“When I saw you here today I thought you were some angel or something like that from they sky, if you keep talking soul piercing words like this, I might believe it.” you said to him, everytime he smiled softly it was so gentle that it might convince anyone that this person controls himself so perfectly, like when to smile, how much to smile, when to talk, how much gentleness will he use to talk, felt like he have everything measured beautifully. He exists?
“People see other people according to what they crave, if you crave for sky, your mind will automatically compare me with sky, if you crave books and povs, you'll see me as a book. It's like, so simple. I crave love, seeing you feels like love. You have so much to give, I hope you find you soon.”
“your definition of love is fcked up I must say.” you said it like you didn't care about the comment he made about you but you knew how much love you always wanted to give people, you're really somehow trapped in the devil's maze.
“I need that remedy to find me.”
“Love doesn't have a definition, 7 billion people defines it in 7 billion ways, if mine is fcked up, it's mine anyways. Same goes for the remedy, no one can provide it, you provide yours, another people's remedy might not suit you, you might end up blaming about it, I'll just hope your remedy suits your pain perfectly. It's kind of important. Also no, I'm not from the show TedTalk.” he put his hand up in defense and laughed.
You couldn't stop looking at his eyes, hair, dimples he had. Everything, he felt like sky so far, suddenly he felt like love. Your own definition of love. Not real, not real.
.
“I've to go. See you around.” he stood up with beret and gave his hand to shake.
“It Was nice to meet you.” he smiled again. Maybe it's his trait. Or maybe he knows he owns a beautiful smile and loves to show it. Either way, it melted and gave heartaches anyways. He walked away.
You stood there, he was so magical, you forgot to ask his name. Also where to find him next. He said see you around. You thought he must live here, nearby.
.
Hell you were dead wrong. You waited almost every day on that bench for that burrito struggler. He never showed up, never showed up around.
He said that day that we always look up at the sky to seek comfort, sky does nothing but it comforts us anyway. You the more you think about it the more you see him. He must be around, watching quietly, who knows.
.
People say a lot of useless things like you look at the sky when you lost something on earth, here you look at the sky to search something on earth. Him.
