The children shook in their stockings when their father approached, seeking their permission to invite his friend into the manor. They couldn’t believe it. For the past few years, their home had been a sanctuary limited to only two guests: Paul and Elaine's physician. The proposal of introducing someone new, particularly a "lady friend" of their father's, stirred a whirlwind of emotions within his children.
Edmund sensed their initial apprehension. They had been isolated for so long, cocooned within the walls of the manor. The idea of accommodating an outsider in the comfort of their own home felt both exhilarating and unsettling. In the end, they did agree. Cecily, Josiah, and Elaine did, at least. In truth, they wanted to become acquainted with the lady ever since learning of their father's frequent outings with her.
The three youngest children peered out from behind the arch of the door, eager to catch a glimpse of their father and his companion as they spoke quietly upon their arrival in the foyer.
Elaine was the first out, running straight into her father’s expecting arms. Meanwhile, Cecily and Josiah focused their attention on her. Josiah, ever the blunt one, took it upon himself to inform their guest of his father’s zealous cleaning spree in preparation for her visit, only to find the floors still lacking in cleanliness. Simultaneously, Cecily warmly welcomed their new guest, offering to be her guide through the expansive manor.
Imogene was captivated by the children’s warmth and innocence, their small voices blending in a chorus of curiosity and excitement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unnoticed by the bustling gathering in the foyer, Eugene observed silently from his position on the stairs. He sat with a brooding gaze, casting a disapproving eye upon his overly enthusiastic and excessively sharing siblings, as well as his stuttering father. When his gaze fell upon Imogene, a surge of frustration stained his vision red. Was everyone in the house touched by madness? It was a question he had pondered for years, and the resounding answer remained unchanged: Yes.

Do you have the Patch-day blues?
Tumblr media
Patch-day blues: Game not working. Mods not working. S4S not working. Discord help unavailable. It sucks.
Cry unstoppable under your blanket -> Does not help and gives you a wet blanket and red eyes
Drink a lots and lots of wine -> Does not help and gives you a headache
Go for a long walk -> Does not help but you might feel refreshed. Or exhausted.
Kick your computer really hard -> Does not help and your toe will probably hurt
Read a Sims story on tumblr -> Does probably not help either, but you will have a nice time, and maybe feel inspired. Which is a good thing for when things are back to normal. (Because it will be. Soon.)
Reading suggestions under the cut!

✩⋆゚𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓 / 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒
characters: Alois Leblanc
notes: Eden's currently working on her vampire valar au for her main blog and it gave me some AU ideas for Alois hehe
warnings: essential enslavement of humanity, objectification (?) of reader
Tumblr media
DARK! ALOIS who isn't as kindhearted as the one we know and love. Our Alois went through hell and it taught him to be firm but kind - this Alois is taught that the world is wicked if left untamed.
DARK! ALOIS who doesn't just want to reclaim his family's legacy but who wants revenge too.
DARK! ALOIS who reclaims his family's estate, who finds the vampire hunters that killed his family, who's still not satisfied.
DARK! ALOIS who makes the hunters suffer the way he did, who makes them watch their family die before he kills them too. It's not enough.
DARK! ALOIS who uses his renowned status as a Leblanc to approach the royal family and propose coming out of hiding to wage war on humanity, to force humans into the submission of vampires. It was the Leblancs who deemed it best that creatures of the night go into hiding in the first place, wasn't it only appropriate that a Leblanc would also decide when to come out of hiding?
DARK! ALOIS who gains a large amount of supporters that are eager to take the world back from humans and force them into submission for the sake of feeding the vampires.
DARK! ALOIS who becomes Supreme Commander of the Night Court's army and builds an Empire in the name of the royal family (though, it's really in the name of revenge). He employs demons, sorcerers, magicians, anyone he can to block out the sun and plunge the world into eternal night. Humans are forced to live in designated communities where they are unable to leave and are forced to give blood to be distributed to vampires across the Night Empire.
DARK! ALOIS who looks out over his work and one day realises that it will never be enough, that humans could never possibly suffer enough to redeem themselves for the way his family died. He thinks of the sight of Ambroise being run through with a sword while Yvonne's blood-curdling screams filled the air as the flesh melted from her bones and he knows no suffering he inflicts upon humans will ever be able to rival those memories.
DARK! ALOIS who's given a particularly delicious sample of blood one day and is curious to see who it came from. There you are, a frail little thing in captivity (as you should be, the world but be spared from humanity's evil) and yet in your veins is the best blood he's ever tasted.
DARK! ALOIS who brings you back with him but makes it very clear you're not a companion and you'll be lucky if he comes to see you as a pet.
DARK! ALOIS who, despite who he's become and how he's come to see humans, takes quite a liking to you (has be become lonely? surely not?) and dolls you up, fusses over your health because 'you humans are such sickly and fragile little things, my pet' and will have you sit at his feet or on his lap as he works or takes meetings.
DARK! ALOIS who will have you see your own kind the way he does: you're too prone to corruption, to wickedness and evil, too destructive of the world around you. Can't you see how much better off humanity is now? You no longer wage war on one another, you're taken care of to prevent you from dying of sickness, you're clothed and homed and protected and all you need to do in return is give blood and obey. You could never accomplish such peace on your own.
DARK! ALOIS who hates all humans except his darling little pet and who won't stop until the Night Empire successfully quells humanity.

List 3 of your favourite sims from other simmers you enjoy and explain why. Then, send this to 10 other blogs! 💜 💜 💜
Aaa this is a fun one! It's hard to pick three, but I'll go with:
Rosalyn from the Ambroise Legacy by @scythesms is my favorite kind of character. She's clearly the smartest person in the room, seems somewhat calculating, but underneath it all she's just a person trying to do what's right. It's been really dramatic and fun seeing their relationship unfold.
Victor from @stargazer-sims, partially because I'm familiar with the inspiration, but you've really made him his own character. One of the big reasons I started following you was seeing any representation of disability, and see his and Yuri's trial and tribulations play out is really emotional and good.
And then I know Emilia is a pre-made sim, but @marshmallow-sims take on her is really good, and really made me care about the character. This is my favorite thing about the sims, is seeing people's own interpretations of the same characters, and getting to enjoy the same scenario play out in completely different ways.
I feel like if you follow my blog none of these are surprises, but I hope one of these leads you to a new blog or a new story! I love reading people's simlit and I'm excited to see what people share!

so I just binged @scythesms ' Ambroise Legacy over the past two days -- she's doing a decades challenge and has gotten up to 1910
Tumblr media
If you like historical sims stories, this one would go to the top of my list; it's alternately tragic and funny, and both the characters and the family relationships are really well-done.
a lot of legacy stories suffer from being either too saccharinely sweet or too messy-- it's really hard to write a family that clearly loves each other, but is dysfunctional in a way that's true to life. Yves manages it with grace and skill.
I'd highly recommend this one.

Storytelling asks?? STORYTELLING ASKS!!!!! Okay, here goes nothing!
1, 8, 16, 17, 18, 19 (alika), 25, 26, 31, and 33!
(so sorry for the massive spam. I just love hearing about people's stories, hehehe.)
1. what’s the last screenshot you’ve taken for your story
Tumblr media
Alika looking mischievous next to a not-so-victorian gal.
8. what about your story are you proud of?
"that i'm writing it" would be the sincerest answer but let's say that I'm proud of my victorian era knowledge and how I deliberately decided to take artistic freedom on this or that.
16. what about the process do you enjoy?
Having my characters involved in something! I love to have a context for my very neurodivergent daydreaming
17. what about the process do you hate?
Translating 🚬
18. choose a song that reminds you of your story
I have a whole playlist to help with my writing process but, if I have to choose one ... I'LL CHOOSE TWO. THIS ONE would absolutely be the opening theme if it was a tv/streaming series and THIS is the one I always listen to while writing!
19. choose a song that reminds you of -> Alika
Tons of songs remind me of him (of course eheh) but I'm going for one that reminds me of him specifically in the Conundrum
Free - Florence and the Machine
25. what inspirations have you drawn on for your story?
My main sources of inspiration are everything by Agatha Christie and the Raven Cycle series. I'm trying to implement a slightly gothic style, inspired by Brontë (in the full version of not here on Tumblr!!)
26. have other sim stories inspired you?
I don't have a sim story that "inspired" mine but I have sim stories that inspired me to start posting it!
@rebouks @morrigan-sims are the first storytellers/legacy players I started interacting with and they'll always be in my heart. All their stories are super engaging! (yeah I know one it's you)
@moon-simmers @scythesms
for me, they are the best you can find when it comes to historical storytelling, I adore their content
31. drop some random trivia about your story
> Ebe's company is inspired by Garrard & Co, the company was very popular in the Victorian period and was the Queen's jeweler
> In addition to his novels, Alika published a short erotic novel in the monthly magazine The Pearl using a pen name. He never got to publish the final chapter since the magazine was forced to shut down by authorities in 1881
33. recommend another creator’s story!
all of the creators I tagged above deserve at least ONE look.
Moon Simmers Pride Legacy
Scythesms Ambroise Legacy
Morrigan Sims Romancing the Queen
Rebouks Somnium
@mattodore isn't strictly a story-tellers but the photography for her dovy legacy basically makes it a mute film.
IF YOU HAVE STORYTELLING SIMBLR PLS SEND THEM TO ME I love reading them but I don't have the time to dig into the tag because y'know... Adulting.

for the storytelling ask game, 12, 32, and 33?
Storytelling Ask Meme
12. do you actually play the game or do you just use it as a storytelling medium?
I do play the game! I try to balance about 50% gameplay screenshots with about 50% posed storytelling screenshots. But yeah, the time that isn't spent playing around in CAS or Build/Buy or using the teleport/pose mod to tell stories, is pretty much regular gameplay.
32. give a light spoiler
Salvador will have an interest in common with his grandma Consuelo and will use it to make a career! Rather than moving back to a small town, though, he plans to stay in LA/Del Sol Valley...
33. recommend another creator’s story!
@aheathen-conceivably's Darlington legacy, @scythesms's Ambroise Legacy, and @historysims4's Beirgen legacy have all been interesting to follow!

Gif Request Meme - A Musical of my Choice + a Villain:  Artois and Orléans
↳ Requested by @fallenidol-453
Philippe Égalité: The only legitimate son of the Duc d’Orléans, a prince du sang from birth, Philippe was a very unlikely revolutionary. And yet Philippe showed a strong level of compassion for the lives of the lower class, going down a coal shaft to see the conditions faced by miners, pulling a groom of his from a river with his own hands, and providing shelter for the poor during the bitter winter of 1788-89.
He was noted for his extravagant lifestyle; a noted lover of racehorses, gambling, architecture, his various and assorted mistresses, and all things English. Despite being the richest man in France, with a truly astronomical income, he nonetheless found himself frequently in debt. That was the impetus for him to totally redesign the Palais Royal over the course of two and a half years, opening it up to shopkeepers and establishing it as a major area for counter revolutionary activity, with the police being banned from intervening. As such, an overwhelming feeling of liberty prevailed there, with people from all social classes gathering to observe the spectacles and walk along the gardens there.
There was a certain amount of hostility to be expected between the two branches of the Bourbon family, going as far back as the first Duc’s tempestuous relationship with his brother, Louis XIV. Still, the relationship between Louis XVI and Philippe gradually deteriorated over time, despite several attempts to patch things up. Orléans blamed Louis for the loss of his naval career, with the controversial Battle of Ushant in 1778 being a major breaking point in their relationship. In 1788, he spoke up at a “Royal Sitting” where Louis tried to press the Parliament into obeying his will, saying “Sire, this appears to be illegal.” Louis responded, “It is legal, because I wish it to be so.” Orléans spent the next five months in a comfortable exile at his estate, and he returned more popular than ever.
When the Estates General was called, Orléans sided with the Third Estate, taking his place with the other delegates rather than sitting with the Royal Family as his rank entitled him to. His name was consistently brought up alongside revolutionary activity, with his bust being paraded alongside Necker’s on July 12, 1789, when the rash charge of the Prince de Lambesc into the Tuilleries heightened the people’s fears over an armed crackdown of Paris. It would be in the Palais Royal where Camille Desmoulins would jump on a table and call the people to arms, and even though the exact impact of that statement’s been disputed, the fact that Palais Royal was a huge locus point for revolutionary activity never has been.
Among the royalists, it was popularly thought that Orléans was behind the entire Revolution, masterminding the Storming of the Bastille, the Women’s March to Versailles, a famine, and various and assorted other disturbances, in lieu of believing that the common people themselves were discontent. However, the sources nearest and dearest to Philippe suggest that he had no intention of seizing power, and Philippe’s own action of going and staying in England at Lafayette’s suggestion between October 1789 and July 1790, when he had a strong chance of fighting back against the charges and seizing power for himself by riding off the highest point of his popularity, strongly indicates that he had no intention of seizing the throne for himself. Overall, while he was a man of undeniable courage, the popular consensus is that he was, by nature, too passive to do it on his own, generally being very diffident to those near him such as his former mistress and longtime friend, Madame de Genlis, as well as her rival for his attention, Pierre Ambroise François Choderlos de Laclos, and generally disinterested in long-form plans, preferring to throw himself into whims. It is far more likely that, if a plan existed to make Philippe king, it came from one of those brains, as opposed to anything Philippe himself considered in any detail.
He did, however, become embittered over the increasingly chilly reception he received at Versailles, including one occasion where a courtier shouted “Do not let him touch the wine!” when he entered, with him then being spat on as he made his leave.
In the latter half of 1792, Philippe faced a bevy of problems, both personal and political, as his long-suffering wife had filed for a separation, his daughter was put on a list of émigrés and was forced to leave the country very shortly after arriving (after Madame de Genlis, who he had instructed to take her back before her name could be added, lingered for too long, causing a final breakdown in their long relationship), his popularity was rapidly fading, and he had been called, as a Deputy of the National Convention, to sit at the trial of his cousin. According to one anecdote, found in William Cooke Taylor’s Memoirs of the House of Orléans, it was in that particular maelstrom that he changed his name, as a last ditch effort to save his daughter and prove his loyalty to the Revolution, to Philippe Égalité. Many options were considered for him to not sit the trial, and there is no reason to believe, despite the long-lasting enmity that the two of them had, that Philippe, when he went to sleep the night before the trial of Louis began on December 26, that he had any idea that when it came time to give the verdict on January 14-15, he would vote “yea,” a decision that shocked the entire room, not the least Louis himself. Perhaps it was a last ditch effort to save himself, perhaps he felt pressured to do it by everyone else in the room, perhaps in that moment he truly believed that Louis’ actions merited the death penalty. It’s impossible to truly know, but in the end that one decision, more than anything else, has defined his legacy.
However, the Royalists would soon be able to find some comfort, as, on the 4th of April 1793, his son, Louis-Philippe, Duc de Chartres, defected along with General Dumouriez, and Philippe’s enemies had the ammunition they needed.
On 7 April, 1793, he was arrested and sent to Fort Saint-Jean in Marseilles, along with two of his sons. Throughout his imprisonment, Philippe kept up an optimistic front, constantly reassuring his sons, the Duc de Montpensier and the Comte de Beaujolais, on the rare occasions he was allowed to speak to them after they were separated, that everything would turn out well, even expressing optimism about his trial in Paris. Whether this was real or simply an attempt at keeping up morale will never be known, but on November 2, 1793, he was sent back to Paris, to be imprisoned in the Conciergerie. He was tried on the 6th and, at his own request not to prolong things any longer than necessary, he was executed on that same day. By all accounts, he met his death courageously, his composure only threatening to break when the cart he was in stopped in front of the Palais Royal, so that he could very clearly see the sign on it that said it was now national property. His last words were to stop the assistants at the guillotine from taking off his boots, saying “You are losing time, you can take them off at a greater leisure when I am dead.”
Unlike his royal cousins, his body was never found, and to this day, he is generally considered as one of the great villains of the Revolution in media associated with it, though none of the serious charges against him (the October Days being prime) were ever proven.
Charles X- For most of his younger years, like his older cousin, Charles’ defining quality was his wild life, which was punctuated by multiple love affairs, copious gambling and alcohol, and even more copious debts, with his brother, Louis XVI, somewhat reluctantly paying the bills. He also had a close friendship with his brother’s wife, who he shared a love of high living with, the two of them often being seen together at the theatre and balls. This close friendship was much remarked upon, with Artois being a frequent subject of the pornographic pamphlets that circulated about the queen, along with Marie Antoinette’s favorite, Madame de Polignac. In the years preceding and following the Revolution, however, the two of them gradually cooled, with their later relationship being marked by political disagreements. Charles consistently pressured his brother into more conservative stances during the meeting of the Estates General, arguing against doubling the Third Estates’ representation and conspiring to get rid of Louis’ liberal finance minister, Jacques Necker. The dismissal of the Necker would end up being one of the leading causes for the Storming of the Bastille, with Charles’ temporary personal victory being quickly eclipsed by the blaze that the little spark of Revolution had turned into. In the days immediately following the Storming of the Bastille, Artois was ordered to emigrate by his brother, along with the rest of his family.
He wouldn’t see France again for decades, going from court to court in Europe asking for help and trailed by a small army of creditors (who would become some of his most frequent companions, the avid huntsman only being able to go out riding at his estate at Holyrood on Sundays, when his creditors would be unable to pursue him), but with very little materializing, even less of which was successful, with the Battle of Quiberon being particularly disastrous to any hope of a royalist win by military might. Instead, he set up his main residence in London, with his mistress, Louise de Polastron, sister-in-law of Madame de Polignac, upon whose death he swore a vow of celibacy, the former playboy becoming sober and religious in his later years. The family briefly returned to France in May 1814, with the exile of Napoleon to Elba, however his later escape and mustering of the troops led to them leaving the city in February 1815, only able to fully establish themselves back in the country shortly after Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo. Upon his brother, the Comte de Provence’s ascension to the throne as Louis XVIII (the space between XVI and XVIII being taken up by Charles’ young nephew, Louis-Charles, who died in prison and therefore never ruled), Charles became known as a leading member of the Ultra Royalist faction, who were, as the name suggests, “More Royalist than the king.” His brother dying without a male heir, Charles took the throne in 1824, though his highly conservative policies following his more tolerant brother’s reign made him highly unpopular with the public.
In 1830, he was forced to abdicate. His intent had been for the throne to go to his young grandson, however, it would go to Louis-Philippe, Duc d’Orléans, the son of Philippe Égalite (who would himself end up being deposed.) He spent the remainder of his life similarly to how he spent his exile, traveling from place to place, hounded by debtors.
Eventually, he would die in Austria, on 6 November 1836, 43 years to the day of his revolutionary cousin’s execution.

The sound of innocent bickering from the two youngest Ambroise children echoed throughout the overgrown yard, amusing the attentive ears of Edmund, who maintained a watchful eye over the playful children. Cecily sat beside her father and observed him in thoughtful silence with a gaze both curious and contemplative.
Though she’d never been one to shy away from expression, Cecily often found her thoughts speaking louder than her words. She possessed a meticulous nature, in which she preferred carefully weaving her words into coherent thoughts before they were vocalized—a trait notably distinct from her unrestrained siblings. Eugene, driven by an impulsive desire to articulate every mean thought, seemed driven by a need to release his critical opinions from his mind as swiftly as they entered. Josiah, on the other hand, remained indifferent to how others perceived him, prioritizing his own understanding above all else—an attribute that irked those around him, particularly his reluctance to repeat or rephrase. Once spoken, his words stood no chance of being altered or corrected—something Elaine had picked up on. “Think before you speak, Elaine,” Cecily said at least twice a day in response to improper sentences like, “When I’m old, I’ll do a bakery and plant pies” and unreasonable questions that follow such as, “Why can’t I plant pies?”.
Similar to improper conversational etiquette, Cecily held a very low tolerance for stuttering and mumbling. It was like chalk grating a pristine slate to her ears. At her young age, she knew she preferred momentary silence in thought as opposed to stutters from faltering lips and vacant minds. And so she sat, dedicating time to piece her thoughts and curiosities together into a narrative that reflected her intentions precisely.
“Father,” she began, “may I ask you something?”
Edmund, attuned to the gravity of her tone, turned his complete attention to his daughter. Carefully, he said, “You can ask me anything.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I was thinking about your lady friend," she confessed. "How did you come to know her?"
Though he had anticipated this very question—wondering which one of his eldest children would broach the subject first—he resented it just as much. There’d been a time early on in his reconnection with Imogene where he had considered sitting his children down, offering them insight into her presence in his life, and disclosing his entire history with her. Yet, he had balked at the notion, second guessing the necessity of such a conversation. If she were merely a friend and there were no further intentions, then perhaps there was no need for an "explanation"... or so he had attempted to convince himself.
“I knew her when I was a young boy… just before meeting your mother. Imogene was… a part of my past.”
He chose his words carefully. Cecily appreciated that, but it wasn’t enough. She pressed, “Did you love her? Imogene?”
Edmund’s shoulders sagged as he released a sigh before admitting honestly, “Yes, I did.”
He always thought discussing his past with Imogene to his children would stump him, and he’d be a sputtering lying fool. Yet, in that moment, he felt no such indulgence. The admission flowed with an unexpected ease—almost relieving.
A thoughtful pause lingered between them before Cecily ventured further, her voice barely above a whisper, "Did you love her more than my mother?"
He stared ahead. “No.” His response was swift and concrete. “Rosalyn—your mother… holds a place in my heart no one can surpass.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cecily was relentless. “Do you still love Imogene?”
“No.” It sounded so simple.
“Could you love her again?”
He returned his attention to his daughter—her wide eyes void of resentment or detest. “Cecily–”
“I don’t think Mother would be upset with you for loving her again. She would want you to be happy.”
Exhaling softly, Edmund carefully watched Cecily—a reflection of her mother in both demeanor and insight. “I am happy,” he expressed while looking at her side profile, her gaze now fixed ahead. “I’m happy. You four make me happy.”
She shrugged. “You could be happier.”
Cecily had no intention of shoving her father into the arms of any woman, but she wasn’t blind. She’d observed their interactions keenly—a bit foolish if she were to admit. She simply couldn’t imagine someone making her stutter and blush the way her father and Imogene did when in each other's presence. She knew she needed to make it clear to her father that if he decided not to pursue a relationship with the woman, it’d be his sole decision and not one influenced by herself and her siblings… (Addressing Eugene's bitterness would be a concern for another time, should it arise).
While she lacked deep perception of her mother, her memories painted a portrait of a woman akin to an angel. Cecily couldn’t imagine her mother being resentful of her father for seeking love after years spent in mourning.
Edmund, who prided himself on believing he possessed a more intimate understanding of Rosalyn than perhaps anyone else in the world, acknowledged that his daughter's insights held truth in more ways than one.

Hey there Squiggles! I was thinking about your idea Oscar finally finding happiness with Ruby and his children after the fall of Salem, but wondered if he would still beset by admirers, such as Rosalie Fox or the rich girls from Atlas Academy, and his children are now finding out about their Dad's popularity with the ladies.
Tumblr media
Hey Al.If you’re asking me if Oscar Pine wouldstill be able to dazzle other girls with his barn princely charm and cuteness even as an adult with kids then,in my imagination and by the power invested in my Pinehead headcanons, you can betyour butt he would. As an Ozma incarnate, let’s just face it. Oscar is destined to be a knockout once he matures. He’s already anadorable precious cinnamon roll at the tender nugget age of 14. You can betthat he’s going to evolve into such the handsome stud muffin by the time hereaches17. I’m still banking on my hunch of Oscar resembling Ozma when he’s agedup and as we clearly saw, Sir Ozma of First Remnant wasn’t no 5-7 in the looksdepartment.
Tumblr media
As a matter of fact, have you seen that lineage? That Ozma Cycleis one Legacyof Sexy we have here with the Wizards of Light which, by extension, makes Salem the ultimate dumbass of the RWBY-verse. She threw away the one man inRemnant’s history that dies but comes back attractive every single time. Why would you throwaway such a great piece of ass Salem, you freaking-fracking fool?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’snot a drop of fugly in there at all. I know we had old man Ambroise the Tarnished and Isaac the Hermitbut who’s to say either weren’t knockouts in their prime like all theothers.
Lookall I’m trying to say is that Oscar is going to age beautifully. He’s already super cute to begin so my heart goes out to Ruby Rose and her pooradolescent female hormones when Oscar starts to blossom from a tender finger nuggetto a tall smouldering slab of beefy meat. What are these metaphors?
Aww hell, who am Ikidding? She screwed now. Look how adorable Oscaris! Precious freckled farm boy turned barn prince. I can’t wait for whenJNPR_RWBY go to Atlas. I am very curious to see how Atlas school girls react toour Little Barn Prince.

Soto actually answer you, he would still be gathering admirers in his older age.Maybe not so much Rosaline Fox since, in my story for her character, Rose wasaware of Ruby being the one true love of Oscar’s life and was respectable ofthat. She’d even become supportive of their relationship and I’d like the ideaof Rose and Oscar continuing to be best friends down the line. Perhaps one of theirchildren might even fall in love and take the path they never shared, whoknows.
Butyeah, Oscar would totally have admirers and suitors as an adult. So much sothat, it’s almost a gag. Okay, to fully answer this I need to bring back upN.O.V.A.
N.O.V.A was my concept for a RWBY sequel thattakes places years after the Fall of Salem andfollows the story of Oliver Pinerose—one of the four future childrenof Ruby and Oscar; and his adventures with his huntsmen team as he trains tobecome a huntsman at Beacon. In the small narrative I concocted for N.O.V.A,Ruby Rose ismissing following an incident thatnearly destroyed Beacon Academy for good. While most people believe her to be dead since her corpse was never discovered, a few membersof her inner circle of family and friends still believe in her return. Like herson Oliver for example.
Inthe N.O.V.Astoryline, Oscar, now called Oscar Pinerose (afterhe and Ruby got married), is appointed the new Headmaster of Beacon Academytaking over from GlyndaGoodwitch who had retired. So asOscar is the new young Headmaster, he’s been known to turn heads from bothstudents and faculty; male and female. At age 42,Oscar is still as handsomely charming as he ever was; grabbing folk’s attentionand admiration the moment they meet him. This often annoys Oliverwho feels uncomfortably disgusted by other fellow students making lewd commentsabout his father behind his back. Despite Oliver having a strained relationshipwith his father as a result of his mother’s disappearance, he still caresenough to detest the idea of someone else trying to warm themselves up to his emotionallyvulnerable father in an attempt to take his mother’s place.
Atthis stage, though he and Ruby are still married, Oscar is technically consideredsingle in the eyes of most folks since his wife is no longer in the picture. However Oscaris still lovingly devoted to Ruby andsimilar to his son, believes in the hope of her inevitable return to him andtheir family.
Butin the meantime, Oliver is quick to chase away any harpies tryingto bark up his dad’s pine tree. While his siblings might not agree with Oliver’stactics (since he’s the most brash and short-tempered of the Pinerose Children),they do share in their brother’s sentiment over not wanting their father to be wooed by some women trying to become the stepmother to aman who is still very much grieving the loss of his missing wife.
Iquite like the idea of the Pinerose Children being overprotective of Oscar in their own way; particularly the boys. Ieven have this idea for a running joke in N.O.V.A. where a common comeback in the Pinerosehousehold is tothreaten to call Ozma.
WhileI’m still thinking about his character, the current idea I have for Ozma IIis that, as the eldest of the Pinerose Children, he prides himself on being theone responsible for keeping his family together and solving all their personalproblems. Let’ssay that Ozma is very passionate abouthelping others—often to extreme degrees and believes very highly in the valueof family given his upbringing and the close ties he shares with his family.
He’salso the type to drop everything he has to come flying straight back homeimmediately if it meant that his family or any of his loved ones needed him. While his family admires Ozma for his devotion, they also understand fully wellthat Ozma can’t afford to do such a thing so irrationally all the time giventhat he’s supposed to be the Commanding Officer andMistralian-ValerianRepresentative to the Atlesian Military. He’s not just Ozma II; he’sSpecialOperative Ozma Pinerose of the ArgusDivision of the Atlas Military. I can picture Ozma II being a bit like Tenya Iida from My Hero Academia in terms of his earnest yetnoble demeanour.
Ozma andOliver arebig mama’s boys so Oscar potentially moving on and getting romanticallyinvolved with another woman who isn’t their mother is a definite giant no-no intheir books. Scarlettand Ivy, on the other hand, lovetheir mother very much too and can’t picture anyone else taking her place however…ifit was for the sake of their dad’s happiness; they’re more lenient with the thoughtthan their brothers. But to really answer your Al, all four Pinerose kids areperfectly aware of their dad’s popularity with the ladies and make it theirduty to shield their dear ole dad from the harpies.
Ijust really love the mental image of an Adult Oscar Pine as the ‘hot dad’ or ‘dream daddy’ beingexasperated but otherwise touched by his children’s protectiveness of him (anddevotion to their mother who Oscar still loves and is trying desperately tofind); all the while all four of his kids are standing around him defensively.
Scarlettand Ivy are hugging a sweat dropping and half smiling Adult Oscar, while Oliverand Ozma are at the forefront, channelling every ounce of intimidating ‘Don’t You DareTouch Oscar!’ energy they inheritedso well from their mother to any women within a 30-mile radius. Silly but that’s how I like it.
Ihope this was the answer you were asking for, Al XD

hi! :) this is my first ask ever so I apologize for any mistakes, but I had go let you know how much I LOVE your writing. You're are incredibly creative, it truly blows my mind (I am especially a fan of the Leblancs jajskyjusj my vampire phase from middle school is coming back)
anyways, I hope this is okay to ask, but I am curious how the leblanc parents would react to an inital human lover who then happened to get turned? I had this scenario in mind regarding Ambroise, because he was the inital heir and their whole family dynamic just fascinates me. again, hope this was okay to ask and I apologize for any mistakes in grammar or my spelling, english isn't my first language.
I hope you have a lovely day and know that your writing made someones day a whole better <3
ooooo this is interesting! ok, so, in order to explain, i'm going to go into the hierarchy of the night court (sticking just to vampires bc it gets more complex when you add other night creatures into the mix).
so! vampires are ranked according to power and wealth. as mentioned with odette, her being female does not negate her rank in any way as it is her power and status that determine her rank in the court, making the matriarch of the family as opposed to having allard as the patriarch for being male. that just isn't how vampires roll. gender doesn't really matter when a vampiress can be much more powerful than a vampire despite having a female body so yeah their society has evolved differently to ours in that sense.
wealthy pureblood vampires will always be the most powerful - these are vampires who were born vampires and have little to no turned vampire heritage. and they've been multiplying grandaddy's money for the last few centuries
now having wealth can always open a door to a turned vampire but vampires can be very cliquey - they can be accepted in a courtly way but socially they'll always be looked down upon some by the purebloods, even if they are well-liked. almost like a 'oh what a pity but they're a great person' sort of thing. (also a bit of bias considering when vampires are killed by anything other than another vampire, they're killed by a human oops)
now purebloods who are less wealthy tend to have an easier way of paving their way to success due to the power that comes with having vampire genes that aren't watered down by human ones.
there isn't really much of a working class in the night court, almost all of them are aristocracy of some kind and this class is very expansive.
a core value in the night court is memory. family reputations are built upon memory, they live for a long time and remember what each other gets up to. it's therefore more so because of memory that turned vampires can ascend ranks - they just need to do something really important. furthermore, as seen in the leblanc family, legacy also is a key component. families don't tend to fall in rank or importance due to the value of memory unless some surviving family member actively brings disgrace to the family.
now! let's talk about ambroise and what sort of partner he can have! let's remember that the leblancs hold a social sway in the night court that could easily rival the royal family should the royals ever do anything to lose the leblancs' loyalty. ambroise has a familial duty to continue the leblanc bloodline with a partner who can carry his genes (a turned vampire or human partner's genes would actually be more dominant than his, it's just how it works). so ambroise will be allowed to marry a vampiress of any class so long as she's a pureblood.
but let's say you're human or a turned vampire and you're down bad. there is pretty much only one situation where you can marry ambroise and it's the situation where he's a widowed father. the only time his parents and maternal grandparents would ever allow him to marry someone other than a pureblood vampiress would be if he's already had a wife, at least two heirs and the wife is no longer in the picture (widowed DILF! Ambroise)
and don't apologise at all! this was really fun to answer and i'm glad you like my writing!

Generation 2 - Chapter 24: The Breakthrough
Guadalupe was finally part of the family, but he didn’t felt like he belonged. For instance, Adora insisted that he would eat on the side tables, not on the family table.
“Why can’t I eat with you? Jillian and I are married. This is ridiculous.
- I keep telling you, said Adora, this is the legacy table. You will be part of the legacy once you give my daughter an heiress. Until then, you’re part of the family, but not of the legacy. I didn’t make the rules, it was Mother’s idea. If you want to know, I think this is ridiculous too, but it was very important to her.
- And if I were you, added Calvin, I wouldn’t mess with the late Mrs. Aisaka’s wishes.
- If I can’t eat at your table, the least you could do is eating at mine...
- About that, started Jillian, I think... I already told Guadalupe, but if I’m not mistaken, I think I am pregnant.
- That’s wonderful news! Calvin exclaimed. Mr. Goode may be able to join us here after all.”
Adora didn’t say anything. Her daughter was too young to get married, and now she was too young to get pregnant. But if she was happy, she didn’t see why she should ruin the mood...
Tumblr media
The future parents couldn’t announce the good news to the second grandfather: Thad Goode died during the night, and his death made Guadalupe the owner of his tailor shop. He worked really hard in order to maintain the reputation of his brand, and soon he was dressing the whole town’s elite, and their wives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jillian’s pregnancy went very well, Adora made sure of it, so there is not much to say as I don’t have any pregnancy pictures because her body disappeared the whole time. She wasn’t in former Ami’s room anymore because it was a little small for two persons: since she was married, her mother had moved her in a new room in the northern wing. In spring 1875, she gave birth to a little boy, Andrew, with the assistance of her mother, the maids, a midwife and a doctor.
Tumblr media
Lily aged up in the middle of the night. Everyone was so busy with Andrew’s birth, they didn’t even think to celebrate...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From her father side she got the blue eyes of Calvin, and the light-brown her of her paternal grandmother. That’s what Calvin said anyway, because no one in the family had ever met her.
Since Andrew was born, Lily had to share the nursery with him. Calvin was fond of his grandson and daughter. He would spend every free time he had with them - even if it disturbed his servants in their work.
Tumblr media
He let Callie potty train Lily because he didn’t want to be involved with such coarse matters, but he insisted to be the one who would teach her to walk and talk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adora really loved her grandson, but she had other matter than babies in her mind.
Tumblr media
She was now thirty-nine, and she needed to catch up on all the time she spent stuck at home because of her latest pregnancy. With all the time she had spend fishing in college and tending her little garden, she already mastered the fishing skill, but she still needed to get ahead with handiness. So she started to improve every plumbing installations. Her skills were a little rusty, but after a bit of practice she was confident enough to get back to work.
Tumblr media
Her goal was closer than ever. She had studied how the human body reacted to prosthesis made of different materials, she knew everything about Silar Weir Mitchell’s work on phantom limb, and her engineering knowledges were on the cutting edge because she had been reading tones of articles for the past two years. The lab had been far from idle, and was experimenting forced evolution on peppered moth. After months of hard work, Adora finally made a breakthrough.
Tumblr media
She immediately started to document her researches on a book she called Technologies And Selection: The Breeding Of A Mechanical Man. Now she knew everything she had to know in order to make her life-time dream come true, but she still needing the funds. And in order to get these funds, she needed people to talk about her work.
A week later after the breakthrough, while she was finishing the detailed plan for her book, she received a strange letter bearing the royal seal...
The letter said the government had been following closely her researches for the past fifteen years, and had taken a strong interest in her recent discoveries. She was therefore invited to work for the queen as a top secret researcher, and of course all the material and funds she’ll need will be furnished. She was encouraged to keep working on her book as it would be valuable knowledge for the British intelligency, but she shouldn’t publish it until further notice. Of course, she should not speak of her work to anyone.
That was everything Adora needed, and she didn’t think twice before she accepted.
Edit: @ehllear is telling me that mirror neurons were not discovered before V. S. Ramachandran in 1998. However, phantom limbs were known before him and had been studied by surgeon Ambroise Paré (16th) and mentioned by Nicolas Malebranche (17th-18th), and Silar Weir Mitchell is the first one who talked about “phantom limb” in Injuries of Nerves and Their Consequences (1872). Adora could totally have read his work since it was published at least three years ago!

Firmin Didot Bio Card Research
Famous typographer: Firmin Didot
Firmin Didot: born in Paris in 1764 and died in 1836, Was the Grandson of Francois Didot, the founder of “The Imprimerie Didot” A famous print and type house founded in 1713. Firmin worked for his grandfather's type house and became a well-known typographer. Firmin was also an engraver, printer, and publisher. Firmin invented stereotypes, which are plates that have been cast from printing surfaces. Stereotypes gave Firmin the opportunity to print cheaper editions of French and English books. This invention made reading available to the public since printing could be done cheaper and more efficiently.
The Didot Family: The Didot typehouse was founded in 1713 by Francois Didot (1689-1757). Francois’s oldest son Francois Ambroise became a well-known typographer and was also Firmin Didot’s father. The Didot type house was passed on for many generations and was the most well-known typehouse in France at the time.
What typefaces did they design?
The Didot typeface is defined as a Didone or neoclassical serif typeface. Developed in 1784. Was considered the first modern typeface.
What are the characteristics of the typeface?
The characteristics of the Didot typeface are distinguishable by the contrast in width of the stroke content. The Didot typeface has a high contrast level between thick and thin brushstrokes. Modern typeface. Was inspired by the Baskerville typeface. The Didot font can be best described as elegant, and fancy. Its long, elongated and curvy, contrasting brushstrokes make the font appear expensive.
What design movement were they practicing during?
When Firmin Didot began practicing Typography, he was alive during the old style period, where fonts were stylized to resemble human handwriting.
