Note
Do you think Tarrlok would have assisted Amon if he revieled earlier that he was Noatak?
I think he would have tried to reconnect with him and stop him. And honestly, it might have worked. If there's one person who gets Noatak and understands why he would let his anger toward benders get so out of control, it's Tarrlok. And he's probably also the only person who could get him to, you know, calm the fuck down with the terrorism. 😅

Fan Work Saturday Sunday Monday
Got tagged (and mentioned) my @solas-backpack-mug, thank you so much! :D
Rules: If you're tagged, MAKE A NEW POST and showcase one fanartist or fanfic you recommend (with links), and tag someone to give their recs next! Don't forget to reblog the rec you were tagged in!
This might not entirely the point, but if you ask me, I am legally obligated to post again about my all time favourite Waidwen picture ever by Oliver Howell
If they have a tumblr I have never found it so I'm just posting the art station link here. It's so good, click on it, enjoy it, just stare at it for hours. I sure have.
I am also giving a shoutout to @bragganhyl who's done a lot of fun things but especially for a wonderful illustration of A Very Good Farmer (which I will also only link here so that tumblr won't slap me with a community label, but trust me, it's very good, click on it.)
As for fanfictions, there's a lot of very good writers in this fandom, but I am also obligated to tag @adraveins here for writing the fanfictions that got me into writing my own in the first place. I recommend you start with a violent collision and then read everything else right after because it's all great.
As for tags, I'll throw one to @stylishanachronism, @adraveins, @secretsfromwholecloth, and @bragganhyl if you have any recommendations.

2, 9, 32, 46!
Thank you Alysaa 😊
2. Describe your favourite type of weather
Warm (about 24 celcius), sunny, a little bit of wind, no clouds.😊
9. How do you feel about getting a picture taken
Honestly I don't like when somebody takes pics of me. I dont mind taking selfies by myself or by my friend. But when a photographer takes pic, I am really uncertain how to pose and I always close my eyes or have a strange face expression. 😅
32. Would you ever dye your hair an unnatural hair?
Yes why not 😊. I had all 'natural' colour on my head. If I could I would die my hair navy blue.
46. What is a creative talent that you wish you had?
I wish I could draw or paint (or have any artistic ability💀). I really cant draw, I have problems with drawing a straight line. 😅 I have a few ideas of creating more artistic makeups but my drawing skills are too poor to look them good.
(And I am maybe wrong but drawing (or generally making art) seems to be calming?) I mean ofc doing it as a hobby.

How You Can Help Palestine
How to be an Ally 101
URGENT‼️📢: Global Strike Guide
If any links are broken let me know. Or pull up the current post to check whether it's fixed.
"Knowledge is Israel's worst enemy. Awareness is Israel's most hated and feared foe. That's why Israel bombs a university: it wants to kill openness and determination to refuse living under injustice and racism."
— Dr. Refaat Alareer, (martyred Dec 6, 2023)
From River To The Sea Palestine Will Be Free 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
-----
Edit 1: took the first video down because turns out the animator is a terf and it links to her blog. Really sorry for any distress.
Edit 2: All recommended readings + Haymarket recommendations + essential decolonization texts have been uploaded to my linked gdrive. I will adding more periodically. Please do buy or check them out from the library if possible, but this post was made for and by poor and gatekept Global South bitches like me.
Some have complained about the memes being disrespectful. You're actually legally obligated to make fun of Israeli propaganda and Zionists. I don't make the rules.
Edit 3: "The river to the sea" does not mean the expulsion of Jews from Palestine. Believing that is genocide apologia.
Edit 4: Gazans have specifically asked us to put every effort into pushing for a ceasefire instead of donations. "Raising humanitarian aid" is a grift Western governments are pushing right now to deflect from the fact that they're sending billions to Israel to keep carpet bombing Gazans. As long as the blockades are still in place there will never be enough aid for two million people. (UPDATE: PLEASE DONATE to the Gazan's GoFundMe fundraisers to help them buy food and get out of Rafah into Egypt. E-SIMs, food and medical supplies are also essential. Please donate to the orgs linked in the How You Can Help. Go on the strikes. DO NOT STOP PROTESTING.)
Edit 5: Google drive link for academic books folder has been fixed. Also have added a ton of resources to all the other folders so please check them out.
Edit 6: Added interactive maps, Jadaliya channel, and masterlists of donation links and protest support and of factsheets.
The twitter accounts I reposted as it was given to me and I just now realized it had too many Israeli voices and almost none of the Palestinians I'm following, so it's being edited. Check back for more. I also removed sources like Jewish Voices of Peace and Breaking the Silence that do good work but have come under fair criticism from Palestinians.
Edit 7: Complete reformatting
Edit 8: Complete revamping of the social media section. It now reflects my own following list.
Edit 9: removed some more problematic people from the allies list. Remember that the 2SS is a grift that's used to normalize violence and occupation, kids. Supporting the one-state solution is lowest possible bar for allyship. It's "Free Palestine" not "Free half of Palestine and hope Israel doesn't go right back to killing them".
Edit 10: added The Palestine Directory + Al Jazeera documentary + Addameer. This "100 links per post" thing sucks.
Edit 11: more documentaries and films
Edit 12: reformatted reading list
Edit 13: had to remove @palipunk's masterlist to add another podcast. It's their pinned post and has more resources Palestinian culture and crafts if you want to check it out

Ten Songs Tag
I was tagged by @scifimagpie
Rules: Use your WIP playlist and put it on shuffle. Write the first 10 songs that come up and quote your favorite lyrics from each song and/or the lyrics that fit your WIP best (they might be the same lyrics), then tag 10 people.
Tumblr media
The wip: The Bloody Divine
1. The Dying Kind - Joy Williams
Bathe in holy water, drown until you sing
Til you sing
Stand there in the garden, names carved in the tree
Taste the good and evil, fall down on your knees
2. Leave My Body - Florence + The Machines
I'm gonna be released from behind these lies
And I don't care whether I live or die
And I'm losing blood, I'm gonna leave my bones
And I don't want your heart it leaves me cold
3. Love Can Kill - Lennon Stella
I need you to go, don't fight me
Even though I wanna hold on tightly
Let me go, but you won't let me go
Too much love can kill, get swallowed by the weight
No matter how you feel, my love, you are not safe
With me
4. Sunlight - Hozier
But whose heart would not take flight?
Betray the moon as acolyte
On first and fierce affirming sight
Of sunlight, sunlight, sunlight
5. the fruits - paris paloma
The fruits of my labour that came to me too young
When he stole my virtue
I'm glad it seems to serve you
That I was born a daughter and not a son
6. Two Evils - Bastille
There are two ways to skin tonight
Let's see whose road gets there faster
This is a game, no wrongs, no right
Only a winner and a loser
7. Shadow - DeathbyRomy
Used to feel the shadows in the night time
Now I'm one with monsters and yes I'm fine
I've finally found the throne that I can make mine
8. See You Bleed - Ramsey
You need me
You're mine
Don't turn me down, please don't deny
You and I
Never die
9. salvation - Christabells Marbun
I'll deny you of salvation
I'll be the reason you repent
Kiss me like I'm a conviction
Beg for divinity in my breath
10. Heathens - AURORA
The stone, the dirt, the dust
The unforgiving promise made to us
Unworthy of your light, your god, your touch
We're guided by the lust

Tagged by @serenbach86 and @starlightcleric to make some of my ocs in this dollmaker, thank you! <3
I love how these all turned out so much!
We've got Aurelle in some Menphina/Ishgardian colours and motifs, with a wee bit plantlife around her wrists, a background that could be taken as snow or stars, and a very white magey looking staff.
We've got Seluna with her moon and stars imagery, an outfit that looks pretty similar to what she wears in game, and the dawn rising behind her.
We've got Tesalya wearing the kind of stuff she's probably kitted out in for her very happy and totally fine ending.
And then Precious is wearing pretty much exactly that outfit for their camp clothes in game, with a background that's very reminiscent of a particular scene they had with their boyfriend Gale that my jaw is still on the floor from witnessing.
Tagging @calico-heart, @kynarreth, @mamesuke and @yloiseconeillants for if yous have any characters you think might work for this aesthetic, as well as anyone else who'd like to give this a go!

@a--p--i sent me Tarrlok for the ask game!
Sexuality Headcanon: Gay as the day is long ✨
Gender Headcanon: He/him/his
A ship I have with said character: Honestly, I don't ship anyone with Tarrlok specifically! But he's certainly a fine-ass man, and he deserves some lovin'. Let me know who you ship him with.
A BROTP I have with said character: Yet again, I want so badly for Tarrlok and Noatak to work out their shit and be chill. They deserve a proper denouement. A resolution to their tensions where they can overcome their dad's abuse, have a shot of whiskey, and be bros wiTHOUT ANY BOAT EXPLOSIONS-
A NOTP I have with said character: Korrlok. Not because I don't get it - I totally do! It makes sense. But I don't ship it personally.
A random headcanon: Tarrlok is meticulous about his appearance, and he takes extra time getting ready in the morning because he finds it meditative and restorative. We're talking 45-minute soaking baths. Skincare routines. Brushing out his hair at the vanity like a Victorian aristocrat. Dude needs a YouTube channel.
General opinion on said character: I low-key hated Tarrlok the first time I saw the series. He's such a pest and is a massive asshat to nonbenders. But the more times I rewatch, the more I genuinely enjoy his sass, and the more fun I have piecing together why he is the way he is. He's a fuck, but he's a lovable fuck. Both bloodbending bros have a special place in my lil' heart. ❤️

Ya know when people told me "when you're finally safe enough that you can leave survival mode and start to let go of and process your c-ptsd/trauma things are probably going to get really, really bad before they slowly start to get better" I thought that was reasonable. I did not understand that by "things are going to get bad" they meant "you're going to find yourself in the worst mental state of your entire life, but dw, that means it's working" and tbh I simply wish someone had been more clear.
Edit: If everyone could please take a minute and think about what it must feel like to be struggling and then have multiple strangers say to your face that they find the prospect of going through what you're going through so horrifying that they'd rather kill themselves and then stop leaving comments like that I would greatly appreciate it.

Original Ask
Decided to talk about my latest little piece since that is part of what I'm still working on.
"Anon straightened again, grinned, smoothed out her leather coat and waved the little booklet around. "This? It's useful to keep track of all the little details of etiquette, ceremony and all that. I am still somewhat new to the job and practicality has taken precedent over decorum for now." She resisted the urge to turn away and give her treasure another loving lookover. The first thing she'd done after Theodora's untimely and extremely convenient demise had been to dig through all documents on her new writing desk. In the process of vetting everything for interesting information she'd found the little booklet abandoned in a corner of the office together with other material Theodora had apparently not found worthy of her attention. It was of smooth, pearl white paper, with the distinct smell of cotton grown in the peculiar soil of Kolarrax Six, a world deep in the Winterscale protectorate, and bound in wonderfully soft, red grox leather. A beauty and a joy to write in. Using a datapad for her notes would have been an unforgivable waste."
So this entire thing was just birthed from a joke line ("I shall give you the honour of a prolonged session of admiring my wonderful visage to this sour backdrop. We'll both be stuck here considering my lack of a Navigator and your lack of a..." She threw a pointed look around the gore decorated room, before raising her eyebrow at the young woman before her. "Well, anything." this one to be precise) and in the middle of writing it I kinda forgot what fandom I'm writing for and thought I had to make up an excuse for Anon to use a paper booklet. My brain got Star Warsed. I did later realize that this is Warhammer where people still use candles so no I didn't need an excuse, but nontheless, Anon is now a paper nerd. Cause why not. I thought it'd be a funny little detail for the pirate woman to have a paper hobby that she's unbearably nerdy about.
