Diamond Sunburst Brooch
Tumblr media
This diamond fringe brooch with a pendant was once part of Queen Victoria’s collection. In 1896 she sent her son and daughter-in-law the Duke and Duchess of Connaught as her representatives to the Russian Coronation. In order to make sure the Duchess of Connaught was not totally out shown by the Russian Grand Duchesses, Queen Victoria lent her some jewels from her personal collection.
The brooch was bequeathed to The Queen Mother who was last seen wearing it in 1971. It would have been inherited by The Queen in 2002.

I’m pretty sure that the Duchess of Cornwall wore the top portion of Princess Marie Louise’s Diamond Sunburst Brooch tonight.  It hasn’t been worn publicly since the 70s.

ANYA’S SUCCESSFUL TOUR COMES TO A CLOSE - SELVADORADAN ROYAL FAMILY HOSTS BANQUET IN CROWN PRINCESS’ HONOUR
It’s been a whirlwind of a trip for Her Royal Highness! The Crown Princess has achieved quite a lot in just a couple of days, definitely doing her parents proud.
Last night, the  Selvadoradan Royals showed their appreciation by throwing a formal banquet in HRH’s honour. While there were no official videos or coverage of the glitzy event, the Royal Family did share a couple of photos from the event on their offical social media accounts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the swanky soirée, the Crown Princess wore a red, off-shoulder ball gown and her grandmother’s 4-strand pearl and diamond choker. Her Royal Highness also wore the Queen Astrid Diamond and Pearl Tiara for the occasion.
The banquet came right after the Crown Princess’ final engagement for the trip - a visit to the Selvadorada Historical and Cultural Center. Her Royal Highness was accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses, Crown Prince Ishmael and Crown Princess Julia.
Tumblr media
For the trip to the museum, Crown Princess Anya donned a stunning red dress from Selvadoradan brand Gracia. The dress features a traditional Selvadoradan pattern often seen in folk pottery and art. The dress, although seemingly demure with its long sleeves and high neckline, offered a “surprise” from behind via its low-cut back.
Her Royal Highness also wore the diamond Sunburst Brooch and a pair of square-cut diamond and ruby earrings. The Crown Princess completed her look with a pair of nude heels and a matching clutch.
Tumblr media
After an incredibly busy trip, the Crown Princess is expected to return back home to Brindleton this morning. A palace source spills that HRH is “looking forward” to go home to be with her parents during this tense time. Rumour has it that the DNA test results will be released within the day.

Royal Vault: Crown Princess Mary’s Jewels.
It’s no secret that the royal family own a great deal of gorgeous jewels. These are often seen at events, or sometimes they are simply enough to be worn on the regular. Here we plan to showcase just some of the jewels the royals have been seen wearing.
Let’s start off with the Crown Princess Mary. Now we don’t have time to go through everything just yet, but let’s start off with the basics?
The royal jewels are below the cut!
1. Crown Princess Mary’s Ruby Tiara
Tumblr media
The tiara was custom made for Mary when she got married and features a three bold Albion Rubies from Oldale in the northernmost part of Albion. The rubies themselves were gifted as an early wedding present to Mary. The tiara also features two different types of diamond that encrust the ‘petals’. The diamonds were supposedly part of the collection that Albion had receieved from Alagus Isle years ago, however this has not been confirmed. We have yet to see Crown Princess Mary wear this tiara at any other event after her wedding, but we’re sure that it will come out soon.
Below we can see the tiara being worn, paired with a double pearl necklace.
Tumblr media
2. Sunburst Pearl Tiara
Tumblr media
The Sunburst Pearl tiara was a gift from the royal family of  Komorebi, originally belonging to Queen Elena. It seems that King Arthur has passed down this splendid piece to his daughter. The tiara features 13 freshwater pearls, and brilliant diamonds. The Crown Princess usually wears this tiara when performing out of state duties, such as state visits. It’s apparently one of the tiaras that she is very fond of.
Below Crown Princess Mary is wearing the Sunburst Pearl Tiara, with the same wedding pearls on a state visit to @theroyalcoldwells . She is also wearing the Airmyn brooch, which we will speak about later.
Tumblr media
3. The Airmyn Arch Tiara
Tumblr media
The Albion Arch tiara is one of the oldest that Mary currently wears. It was one of the first created tiaras that was created for the Royal family of Albion, and more specifically, the Princess of Airmyn. It features diamonds set in a platinum curve. Once Mary ascends to the throne, this tiara will be inherited to the next Prince/Princess of Airmyn. If it’s a Prince, it will be loaned to their future spouse.
The last time we saw a picture with Mary wearing the Airmyn Arch Tiara was during the founders day celebrations. Below she wears the tiara with the Bow Pearl Necklace and some simple pearl earrings.
Tumblr media
4. Lucky One Necklace
Tumblr media
The Lucky One necklace is a new addition to Crown Princess Mary’s jewels. It’s a very simple necklace, with a silver clover. However, she also owns the same necklace in gold and copper. Apparently it was a gift from her mother, Emilia, before she passed on. This would probably explain why Mary has been constantly wearing this necklace when we see her in public. Once Mary had worn this necklace, many similar ones from stores across Albion sold out. Talk about good advertising.
Most recently, the Crown Princess wore this simple necklace whilst attending her mother’s funeral.
Tumblr media
5.Ellington Diamond Necklace
Tumblr media
Mary has also been seen wearing the Ellington Diamond Necklace. This necklace once belonged to her Great Grandmother, Queen Consort Sofia. It was a gift from King Charles to his wife, as a wedding present. However, the Queen Consort was rarely seen wearing it. It was said that she liked to be simple and not show off wealth. It was named the Ellington Diamond Necklace for the simple fact that it was made in Ellington on the Kings orders.
We expect Crown Princess Mary to wear the necklace a lot more as she gets closer to becoming Queen.
Tumblr media
6. Airmyn Brooch
Tumblr media
The Airmyn brooch is given to who ever holds the title ‘Princess of Airmyn’. Currently, Crown Princess Mary holds this title, and she has been seen wearing the brooch many times. The brooch is a diamond flower with diamond leaves. It’s small, but expensive.
Tumblr media
And that is it for today, but we will be taking a closer look of the jewels that the whole family own, and also more of what Mary owns! Stay tuned for more
A/N: I’m trying to make my sims families more well rounded, so I’m limiting the tiaras they will use etc. Which should help me!

Princess Marie Louise's diamond sunburst brooch
Attending the world premiere of No Time To Die on September 28, 2021, the Duchess of Cornwall debuted a glittering piece from the royal jewellery collection.
Camilla pinned Princess Marie Louise's diamond sunburst brooch to her pale blue gown, marking the first time she's worn it.
As the name suggests, the brooch once belonged to Princess Marie Louise, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. When Marie Louise died in 1956, the jewel was inherited by Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, who wore it on a couple of public occasions.
It then passed into the collection of Queen Elizabeth II after her mother's death in 2002; however, the brooch is yet to be worn by Her Majesty.

What happens when you give a vague answer of “pearls” to “Want me to pick up anything while I’m out?”
@absintheabsence
"The thing about the pearls is, I remembered my Nan, the one on Dad's side, she's got a whole--I don't know if I'd call it a collection," Calleo wedged himself next to wherever Grindelwald had been sitting; still the best way to keep him from getting away if he thought someone was being Too Nice to him, "she calls it heirloom jewelry, then she gave it to Mum, but Mum doesn’t ever really wear that sort of thing so she just sort of kept them all in the jewelry box, and I'm all that's left in that line, so I figured I'd ask her about it. Seemed like a better option than just going to a shop, you know?"
"Gave me the box as well," Calleo lifted up an almost ridiculously ornately carved silver box on legs. It more than likely could move on its own of its wiggling of the 'feet' while being held suspended from the ground was any indication.
At least it stopped squirming like a cat being held when he opened the lid; inside, the thing was fairly plainly lined in deep red velvet and, of course, neatly packed with a small amount of jewelry.
"You'll have to forgive me," he laughed and pulled the first thing out, "You just said 'pearls are traditional', though I forgot to ask what they were traditional for--or for any sort of clarification on numbers, type of jewelry or anything like that so there are a few." The pieces he held out was ten rows of pearls, with one row markedly different being similarly shaped diamonds cut to round fittings, "Those two are a matching set of bracelets--as an aside, I was never allowed near any of these as a kid, heirlooms and all."
Tumblr media
"Then this one," the next thing carefully picked up, after handing the first two to Gellert, appeared at first to just be gold; a closer look made it more obvious that the pearls were set in gold from the top of the neckline down, some in standard round settings, others in settings that reminded Calleo of bouble ended flowers. The typical round sort at the top, tulips on the bottom, and the center being an almost tied ribbon pattern of gold flowers set with pearls. "I always liked this one."
Tumblr media
"This next one!" Calleo picked up a double strand of--oddly shaped, none of them matching pearls, "I always thought this one was made of some kind of quartz or opal, because none of them are the same shape or size, but they're wild! So, of course, none of them are going to match! I kind of like this one because it looks so unrefined and wild next to the others." That one as well was handed over to Gellert.
Tumblr media
The next two items were brooches, the first in gold and almost black metal; the settings of the petals and leaves were accented with various sized and cut diamonds, and the three flowers contained a large pearl at the center. The second looked ot be some sort of crescent moon shape, lined with dark pearls and a few diamond accents set in gold. "These are--self explanatory I think? A couple of brooches, though that crescent shape one got matched up with this one a lot."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Calleo then picked up a much brighter gold, ornately carved pendant with a sunburst center consisting of a pearl and several diamond leaves. All three were subsequently handed to Gellert as well. Calleo, being Calleo, had been entirely engrossed in handing over the shiny things for some time now.
Tumblr media
"Then there're these two! The first one," a ring was picked up; a twisted gold band had three diamonds leading to a pearl on one side and three leading to a larger diamond on the other, "that's the one that got worn more frequently and I think Mum and Nan both stopped wearing the second one while I was around when I was very young," this ring was handed to Gellert as well and the last piece in the box picked up.
Tumblr media
"Because I always thought this one looked a bit lewd! Especially the way the silver chain band goes between the pair and the way the colours are on them, it just looks--it's a perfectly ordinary ring, there's no strange intent in its design, but as a kid I always and--comments on its overall shape! Still," he grinned, "it's part of the whole varied collection, so it's yours as well. They should also be sized properly as well."
"I mean, I kind of had to get them resized, Nan has the smallest hands I've ever seen on someone that could still be assumed to be the normal hands of an adult person."

Tiaras of the First Ladies
A tiara is a very formal piece of jewelry that can be worn by anyone but just because it can be worn by anyone doesn’t mean that’s always a good idea.  The formal occasions where tiaras were once worn have decreased to the point that the modern American public views tiaras as a symbol of royalty and it would be a very bad pr move for the First Lady of the United States to wear a tiara because of that.  Let’s look back at a time when that wasn’t the case.
Elizabeth Kortwright Monroe (1817-1825) acquired this amethyst tiara during her time in Paris as wife of the US ambassador to France and she may have worn it when she attended Napoleon’s coronation.  Her daughter, Eliza Monroe Hay, may have also worn the tiara when she stepped in as First Lady due to her mother’s poor health.  This tiara is now located in the James Monroe Museum.
Tumblr media
Angelica Singleton van Buren (1838-1841) acted as First Lady for her widowed father-in-law.  She wore a headpiece of diamonds and pearls for her official White House portrait.
Tumblr media
Ida Saxton McKinley (1897-1901) owned a diamond wing tiara made by J. Dreicer & Son that now belongs to the McKinley Presidential Museum
Tumblr media
Helen Herron Taft (1909-1913) wore two tiaras as First Lady, a gold tiara for her official White House portrait and a Belle Epoch diamond tiara toward the end of her husband’s term.
Tumblr media
Mamie Doud Eisenhower (1953-1961) never wore a tiara publicly but she she did own a pearl and diamond necklace that was convertible to a tiara. The necklace/tiara was sold at Sotheby’s in 2015 by her descendants.
Tumblr media
Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (1961-1963) knew that she couldn’t get away with wearing a tiara like her predecessors but she pushed the envelope a bit by wearing jewelry in her hair.  The most famous was the sunburst brooch she bought at Wartski in London in 1962 and wore to several state banquets.
