When they come to the Metkayina clan she becomes more of an outcast and keep to herself. She gets teased and harassed by Ao'nung and his gang, the same way they did to Kiri, but no one comes to her rescue. They notice that her family doesn't help her and starts to be nice and inviting her with them. The this whole scene where her siblings finds out and feels betrayed by her.

Part 2: Betrayal Is An Inherent Part Of Love

[Name] took a deep breath, she was leaving her home. Her home, the forest, all she had ever known retreating behind her as she joined her family in the sky. She knew why they were leaving, she did, but that did not stop the stinging in her chest at the thought of leaving. Now that they were in the sky, it all became so real. The crisp air was a sharp reminder of the life she was leaving behind.
Blinking back tears, she was brought back to the time she spent in the forest as a kid. Her younger brother–Neteyam, only younger by a year–chasing her and Kiri as they struggled to run away. She almost smiled to herself, things were easier back then. There were few memories she had as a kid that lacked the heart wrenching feeling she had become accustomed to.
She hardly remembers it but she knew when Kiri and Neteyam were born, her parents were elated. Another child to share their love with, how exciting. Thats what [Name] thought as well, until they started to take up all of their time. That makes sense though, they were babies after all. But none of that seemed to change as time went on. Even as Neteyam and [Name] were being taught to hunt, Neteyam seemed to be favoured. Long hunts where [Name] would catch three fish and Neteyam one, were often ‘teaching moments’ for Jake and Neytiri.
They knew that Neteyam had do be hunter if he was to be the future Olo'eyktan, so they took special care in teaching him. Kiri, almost from the moment she opened her eyes, had an connection with Eywa. The girl was already a miracle, coming out of the body of Dr. Grace Augustine. But when all of the Ikrans around them started to protect her tiny baby body out of the blue one day when she was crying, they knew that she must be trained to be the next Tsahik.
All of this [Name] could forgive and forget, and she almost did, until Lo’ak was born. [Name] had an understanding that Kiri and Neteyam would always have most of their parents attention, so when Lo’ak was born, she was more than ready to give him the attention she didn’t get. But Lo’ak almost seemed to get more attention than the other three, even when he was no longer a baby. Lo’ak was always trying to “live up to his brother”, although his brother never kept him from the attention from his loved ones. When [Name] finally realized that Lo’ak was getting more attention despite ‘being the outcast’, that’s when that all too familiar feeling set in, she was never going to be the centre of attention.
[Name] was in no way bad at anything, not in the slightest. She had no problems picking up all of the things she was taught as a hunter. No, the problem came when she wasn’t the best at anything she did. Despite being taught the same things as Neteyam and Lo’ak, she never seemed to be anything other than average. She made most of her targets with almost exact accuracy, but, unlike her brothers, she wasn’t as fast or as precise. Her lack of struggle or brilliance with any of the skills she had meant a lack of praise or extra practice time with her parents, and thus less attention.
One might think that [Name] had jealousy for her sibling success, Kiri training to be the next Tsahik, despite that being [Name]’s natural role as the oldest daughter or even Neteyam’s future mate’s; and Lo’ak and Neteyam becoming better and better warriors with the help of their parents. But [Name] never was jealous, she could only find pride in herself when she watched her siblings succeed. She only wished to have a sliver of the attention.
So, [Name] became silent, never making a fuss as she was left to fade into the background of her family’s lives. While her sibling were off training with their parents, [Name] was left to practice her skills on her own. [Name] remembers getting better at making flower crowns, beading, using a bow and increasing her strength. But none of that ever mattered. Even when [Name] decided to make her family flower crowns, she couldn’t have been older than eight, they hardly bothered to thank her. Instead favouring the hammock, where they all snuggled close. [Name] tried every time to be in the middle, but no matter how hard she tried, she was always at the edge.
Things only seemed to look up when Tuk was born. Everyone was overjoyed when it was announced that Neytiri had given birth to another health baby girl. Tuk was unbelievably loving from the start, loving all of her siblings equally. [Name] was just happy that she could share her love with her bright-eyed sister. When Tuk was young, [Name] would often take Tuk into the forest to teach her how to make flower crowns. One day, they had come back with enough for the whole family. Everyone was delighted, praising Tuk for her work, even after Tuk told everyone that [Name] had taught her. Although it stung a little, she was happy for Tuk and was proud at her skills in flower weaving.
But as all good thing do, the time of Tuk and [Name]’s hanging out had seemed to come to an end. Kiri and Lo’ak were spending more and more time out in the forest with Spider and Tuk had decided that she didn’t want to miss it. [Name] couldn’t blame her, she never wanted to miss spending time with her family either. Once again, [Name] was left to train and explore on her own.
[Name] let out a sigh, it had only been a hour and she was already tired of flying. The air only grew cooler as they began flying above the great expanse of water that was the ocean of Pandora. Taking in a deep breath, [Name] tried to shake the thoughts of her childhood out of her head as they only exhausted her. As [Name] exhaled, her Ikran exhaled as well and she was reminded of the time [Name] and her brothers attacked the sky people’s train.
It had been a few weeks of coordinated attacks on the sky people’s supply shipments and Jake had allowed [Name], Lo’ak, and Neteyam to scout for them again. Jake was always worried about his children in an active war zone, but Jake knew that the only way to improve was experience. So scout they did. They were doing well, informing everyone of approaching ships and making sure everyone was safe, until Lo’ak decided he wanted more action.
Neteyam went after him, [Name] following close behind, both hoping to ensure their younger brother’s safety. Once they had landed, [Name] had found Lo’ak with a gun and Neteyam reminding him that their dad was going to kill them. [Name] tried to warn them of the incoming ship, grabbing Neteyam’s arm, pulling him just barely out of the way when a ship crashed. That didn’t shield them from the knock back though, the crash sending them sprawled on the ground. [Name] had guess her dad had seen them when he came running in to save them.
[Name] had watched as he checked Lo’ak’s body for injuries before yelling Neteyam’s name and searching for them. Once he had found him, throwing him on his back, Jake Sully made his way to his Ikran. She could hear Lo’ak’s voice alerting his dad that [Name] was by the crash as well, but it all became blurry as her ears began to ring and tears started to swell in her eyes. [Name] was already stumbling back to her Ikran when her father finally caught sight of her.
Apparently, Jake hadn’t seen her and thought she was still in the air, as she learned once they had gotten back, but that did nothing to undo the hurt that struck into [Name]’s heart.
Only a few days later did Spider, Lo’ak, Kiri, and Tuk go off into the forest again, this time with [Name]. Tuk had successfully convinced [Name] to come along although [Name] was wary. As they had jumped from branch to branch, wandering deeper into the beautiful rainforest, [Name] finally gave herself a moment to breathe. Tuk often got distracted by the wildlife, and [Name] couldn’t blame her, so she stuck by her when she got side tracked, following after her when Lo’ak would yell for them to catch up. It was times like these, when she would hang out with her family that she felt like an outsider. Sure, she knew and loved her family like no other, but she never really felt a part of the family, always left out of the conversation.
Looking back at it, [Name] could hardly remember the events that led up to her siblings, Spider, and her being held by their queues by dream walkers. It all seemed to go by so fast, similar to the pace of her heart. Then all of a sudden, she heard her mother’s calls and looking around she could tell that the others had heard them as well. It rest was a blur, a flurry of flashing lights from the guns, and bodies moving quickly. [Name] was held still, her attempts at biting the avatar holding her, futile. Only when Neteyam run out from behind a tree and shot the avatar behind her, was she free. She had ran to push Neteyam out of the way of gun shots when she was met with her father. They eventually made it out, but not without losing Spider.
[Name] understood Spider, and even as she sat atop her Ikran on their way to a new life, she had understood how he had felt as an outsider in the family. Spider may not have been a Sully, but he sure did get a lot more attention from them than [Name] did. The poor kid was now stuck with the sky people, who were doing Eywa knows what to him. [Name] could remember Kiri’s face when she found that Spider was taken. It hurt [Name] to see her sister so broken.
The entire ride had been silent, nobody spoke while they flew, a side from a few questions of how much longer from Tuk. [Name] had been so stuck in her thoughts that she hardly realized when the waters below them started to lighten. The waters of the ocean clans were beautiful, so full and bright. As they approached, Na’vi people of the ocean could be seen swimming in the reef, and tending to animals. [Name] took another deep breath, this time she was pleasantly surprised to find the air much warmer and less sharp. For the first time since learning they were leaving the forest, [Name] started to feel hopeful of their new life. Maybe here she could be happy.
The Ikrans started to slow as they descended, leaving [Name] to mentally prepare herself. When they landed, it became quickly apparent to the Sully family just how many people were surrounding them. [Name] tried to follow in her father’s footsteps, holding up her hands as if to show she was no harm. It was only after a tense conversation, that the Metkayina people decide that the leaders two children would teach the Sully kids.
It seemed from there that things started to look up for [Name]. It was scary at first, but after her and her siblings jumped in the water for the first time, it all seemed to come into focus for [Name]. The water was glowing and quiet, providing [Name] solace while she thought, something she thought she would never get. Under the water was calm and safe, somewhere that [Name] felt instantly at home in. Home had seemed to be a foreign concept to [Name] in the recent years, so she welcomed the strange but lovely feeling.
Over the next few weeks, [Name] improved her swimming and breathing tremendously. Despite almost being separated from the learning group her family was in, [Name]’s skill only increase. She heard what the Metkayina kids would say and watched how they would move, hoping to use this information to better her own skills. All of these worked and many of the Metkayina kids noticed this. An outsider learning their ways at the speed she did? That was something to speak about.
[Name]’s improvement of skill and thus overall attitude went unnoticed by the Sully family, although this time she did not have a reason why. The best answer she could come up with was that they were busy. But what were they busy with? Neteyam was no longer training to be the future Olo'eyktan nor Kiri as the Tsahik, so why were all of their attention still away from their oldest daughter and sibling? The sheer truth of the matter always seemed to bring tears to [Name] whenever the thought came to her mind.
So she stayed in the background, trying to throw herself into the ways of the Metkayina. And while she seemed to do much better than her siblings, it didn’t help her gain any attention. The only thing that staying in the background did was shield [Name] from most of Ao’nung’s teasing. That didn’t stop [Name] from seeing the teasing that Ao’nung berated her siblings with.
It was one sunny day on the shore of the Metkayina clan, Kiri was watching a place in the sand and [Name] stood not far from her by a tree. [Name] had been mildly worried about Kiri for the past few days, and how she had been treated by the kids of the ocean tribe. So, [Name] choose to stick by her that day, while Kiri laid alone on the beach. And it was a good thing she did because it wasn’t long when Ao’nung and his friends decided to pay her a visit. They had made their way over to her, laughing and calling her a freak. Kiri, being the sweet heart she is, didn’t understand what was happening at first, but quickly understood when they continued to call her names.
[Name] walked away from the tree she was leaning on, shouting at the boys to stop teasing her and leave her alone. Lo’ak joined her, not willing to let anyone pick on his sister. Lo’ak was about to fight them when Neteyam showed up with his future clan leader ways. [Name] almost rolled her eyes at his mediating, but ended up smiling when he seemed to resolve the conflict. She was always proud of Neteyam for his charm. But then of course Lo’ak wasn’t ready to let go and he turned around to punch Ao’nung after cleverly tricking him. One thing lead to another and Neteyam and Lo’ak were fighting the whole group as Kiri and [Name] fought to keep down their laughs.
It was only two days later that [Name] sat at that very same beach, enjoying the waves crash against the shore. The last few days, she had been hard at work, doing everything she could to be faster, hold her breath longer; be better. That’s all she had ever wanted. This day, [Name] decided she was going to take a break while the others did as well. [Name] let her self-take a deep breath, enjoying the air while it was in her lungs. She closed her eyes, enjoying the sun when all of a sudden her vision becomes dark as if a shadow had blocked her from the sun. Furrowing her eyebrows, she opened her eyes to find that Ao’nung and his friends surrounding her.
[Name] could only scuff, she could only imagine what they wanted with her. Standing up and beginning to walk away is when they began their teasing.
“Freak!”
“She has demon blood.”
“Not even real Na’vi.”
[Name] could only shake her head, it didn’t really matter, she just wanted to leave. But they blocked her exit, surrounding her completely.
“Where are your brothers? What they no here to save you?”
“They probably don’t even care about you, freak!”
[Name] only looked at the floor blankly. A few minutes went by and [Name] could tell that the group was waiting for something to happen or someone to pop out of nowhere and stop them. But when that never came, the smirks on their face seemed to drop like flys.
“You are probably right, they don’t really care about me,” [Name] spoke evenly. She knew this to be true, as much as she didn’t want to think about it. It had always been true.
The boys looked around at each other, still hoping that one of her brothers would walk out of nowhere and yell at them for messing with their sister. But as [Name] expected, still no one came.
Ao’nung shook his head incredulously, “That cannot be true, they tried to beat us up for Kiri.”
“And I bet they would do it again, but I am not Kiri,” [Name] sighed, her previously tense shoulders deflated in defeat.
“Why are they not here than?”
“Well, I have never really had the same amount of respect my siblings have had. Even being the oldest never seemed to reward me with much attention.”
“You are the oldest? Why were you not taught the ways of the Tsahik?”
“Oh you heard about that did you? I am still not sure. Kiri was always the best choice, but as the oldest, I still think I should have been taught as well.” [Name] looked down at the sand once again, she did not like to have such thoughts.
Another boy piped in, “You are always separate from them, why is that?”
[Name] sighed, her struggles with family were not easy to explain, especially not in front of a group of strangers known for teasing.
“I’ve always tried to be close with my family, but whether they know it or not, they seem to always push me away.”
All of the boys shook their heads, seemingly ashamed of this behaviour as if they could never.
“How long has that been going on?” Ao’nung asked, leaning forward as if he needed to know the answer.
“Pretty much since Neteyam and Kiri were born,” [Name] exhaled, biting her tongue. “Not that it really matters, I love my family so much it doesn’t even matter.”
All of the boys looked at each other once again, except this time a silent understanding passed between them and they nodded in unison.
Ao’nung began to speak again, this time he had no hint of teasing in his voice.
“We did not wish to tease you or make fun of you, we just wanted to get back at your brothers for roughing us up.”
“Yeah,” Another boy began. “We just wanted to get on their nerves, you were just collateral.”
“In all honesty, many of the Metkayina kids have noticed how hard you have been working to learn more and how amazing you are in the water,” Ao’nung explained in earnest.
Whoops of agreement sounded from around [Name], and the girl found herself smiling at the support.
“Wow… I didn’t know anyone noticed…” [Name] muttered.
“How could we not? A forest girl swimming better than many of our own? Thats unheard of!” Ao’nung beamed at the oldest Sully girl and [Name] bit her lip to stop her from giggling.
“That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me, thank you so much.” [Name] smiled at the group with the most genuine smile she has had in a long time.
“While we are here,” One of the boys behind her started. “My sister has always wanted to meet you, I would love to introduce you to her.”
“Yeah my sister would love you!”
Many of the boys offered to introduce [Name] to members of their family that would love her. The thought had almost sent [Name] to tears as she beamed at the boys around her.
“You should hang out with us, you know, join our group," Ao’nung suggested, looking around for conformation.
“I don’t know, I wouldn’t want to intrude,” [Name] smiled sadly.
“Do you all want to be friends with [Name]?” Ao’nung asked loudly, looking around at the boys again.
When all they heard were whoops of approval, [Name]’s face was bright and her eyes glassy.
“You have no idea what this means to me, thank you guys so much.”
“Don’t sweat it, you are one of us now.”
And one of them she was. From that day on, [Name] was with Ao’nung and his friends all day every day. It was only a few days until the boys introduced [Name] to their sisters and other friends. And they loved her, playing games with her, challenge her to races, hunt beside her, and laughing with her. [Name] had been having the best time of her life. She would wake up early and go to bed late in order to make the most of her time.
She started to get close with the girls of the clan, being invited to braiding circles and gossip sessions. [Name] was finally getting the attention she never had, and she loved it. Although at times she would miss her family, having hardly any time spent with them, she knew that they didn’t notice her absence. Every time a thought of her family crossed her mind, one of the girls would help her remove it from mind. They had her back, and she sure as hell had theirs.
[Name] even bonded with a Tulkun, effectively reenforcing that she was Metkayina in all who knew her’s minds. Everyday became one of hope and happiness for [Name] and she could hardly remember he life in the forest. As much as she loved the forest, a place that she would always regard as home, she felt more at home with the Metkayina then anywhere else.
Apparently one Sully had taken notice of the absence of the oldest Sully sister, and Tuk was upset that nobody else noticed. The brushed her off at first, telling Tuk that [Name] was just doing her own thing as she did. But after a few months, Tuks nagging became more and more rational, leaving the family to think, where was [Name]?
[Name] was sat on the beach one day just before eclipse hanging out with Ao’nung when Lo’ak, Neteyam, and Kiri cornered them.
“Where have you been?” Lo’ak inquired, his fists tight and voice strained.
“Here,” Ao’nung laughed, watching as a slight smile grew on [Name]’s face.
“You know what we mean, where have you been the last few months, [Name]?” Neteyam stared at his older sister’s face as if searching for an answer.
“I didn’t think you would notice…” [Name] muttered to herself.
“What?” Kiri asked sadly.
“I have been with the Metkayina, with my friends,” [Name] put simply.
“But we are your friends [Name]! We are your family!” Lo’ak exclaimed.
The calm that once sat on [Name]’s face drained at Lo’ak’s words. Ao’nung chuckled breathlessly at Lo’ak, what was he saying.
“Some family you are. You just left her to be on her own and didn’t even notice when she was absent!” Ao’nung was furious at this point, having seen everything.
“What, that is not fair! We having been learning! We were busy learning your ways,” Neteyam explained.
“[Name] has been doing just fine, and she hadn’t ignored you at all until we stepped in.” Ao’nung stated.
“Step in my ass, she was probably bullied into being friends by you! No way she would choose you and your friends over us,” Lo’ak argued.
“Is that true, Lo’ak? Do you really think that I would chose people that have never chosen me over over them? I was not bullied, Lo’ak, I chose them,” [Name] explained, finally having enough.
“While you all were out doing whatever you were, I was left alone, never being allowed a spot in the family. Lo’ak, you always say you are the outcast, but you have no idea.” [Name] hardly understood what she was saying, all of the pent up feelings buried deep seeming to explode.
“You should have told us! We would have helped you!” Kiri spoke, trying to reason.
“No, Kiri! I couldn’t have! I was alone, left to fend for myself. You all were alway to busy and at the end of the day it didn’t ever matter what I did, it was never enough!” Tears were streaming down [Name]’s face at this point.
[Name] took several deep breaths as the Sully siblings reflected on their lives.
“Can you all just let me enjoy this?” [Name]’s voice was much softer now, more vulnerable. “I was happy, can’t you just let me be happy?”
[Name]’s words broke them, tears starting to swell in their eyes. Ao’nung wrapped his arm around [Name], whispering comforting words in her ear. Then from behind them, a whole group of Metkayina kids walk out from behind a rock and surround [Name] and Ao’nung.
“We really don’t appreciate how you have been treating our sister.”
“Yeah, you are kinda shit siblings, how can you forget your sister?”
“Don’t you know how kind she is?”
“Can’t you see how skilled she has become?”
“Why don’t you see her love for you guys despite how you have always treated her?”
Their words were like knifes in their hearts, far worse than Ao’nung had ever said to them. And as they started to retreat back to the village, all they could think about was how it all went wrong. How much had they witnessed and still missed. Looking back, not many of their memories included their older sister. As they approached their marui, their thoughts went to Tuk, who has loved [Name] the most. How was she going to respond? How was their mother or father? The day [Name] left them would always leave a scar in their hearts, how could she betray them?
Or really, how could they betray her?

"Breathing's harder when a pretty girl's touching your chest."
Summary: When the Sully family come to seek refuge, (y/n) is tasked with teaching the children the essentials and becomes particularly close with Neteyam. She wants to help him with his breathing techniques because he's been struggling but seemingly her being close to him is quite distracting... who would've thought?

I slide off of my ilu and dive into the water, but not before seeing the crowds on the beach. Standing up on the sand I flip some of my hair back into place before walking over. I watch what’s happening and then I see my brothers teasing the newcomers so I walk over. Swatting away Rotxo’s hand from one of their tails I tell him off.
“Stop,” I say, then look up to the older one (whose tail Rotxo was messing with) who’s already looking at me with a smile. I smile back at him.
I was going to start talking to him but then my father arrived with a theatrical entrance. He does this whole speech and the leader of the six outsiders who I now know is called Jake Sully and was the leader of his clan begs to be able to stay. It’s difficult to watch as it’s clear that he only wants to protect his family but mother disagrees with them staying. The verdict eventually ends with them being able to stay.
“Our son, Aonung, and our daughter, (y/n), will show your children what to do.” Father declares and I can’t help but smile at the prospect of new friends and people to teach.
Aonung protests but he is overruled. They stand them staring at each other but I interrupt them.
“Come, I’ll show you all around our village,” I say with a smile leading them first to get some supplies then I lead them to their pod.
“This is where you will stay, I hope it’s okay,” I say and Jake reassures me that it’s fine,
“You’ve done a lot for us, this place is more than good enough.”
“Okay, I’ll leave you guys to settle in now and I’ll come to find you tomorrow with Aonung and we’ll get to work,” I say with a smile and wave before leaving. A small wave of ‘thank you’s is heard before I make my way to my pod.
The next day I wake up and head straight to their pod. Collecting the siblings, I leap off of the side of the pods, urging them to follow after me. The adults head to meet with my father.
The first to jump after me is the older brother, then the younger brother, the younger sister and then the older sister. I’m suddenly realising that I don’t know any of their names. I watch and smile at their face, awe-struck at the beautiful creatures and plants. They don’t seem to be able to swim long though so they have to swim up to the surface. I look at them confused before signing for them to swim with me and my brothers but they keep having to go up for air.
My brothers make fun of them but I dismiss them before checking they’re alright.
“Are you guys okay?” I ask looking at their gasping faces.
“You’re too fast! Wait for us!” The younger one says.
“What’s your name?” I ask softly.
“Tuk.” she answers.
“Well, Tuk, give me your hand,” I say but she’s a little apprehensive. “Come on, I don’t bite,” I say coaxing a giggle out of her. She passes me her hand and I look to the others before starting again. “Everyone okay to go again?” I ask and dive in again seeing their nodding faces. A little later on we resurface again.
“Wait where’s your sister?” Aonung them and I look around not seeing her.
We don’t find her so head back to the shallows. Aonung takes the lead in explaining the ilus and what to do.
“Okay,” I start then realise I don’t actually know his name. “Sorry, I haven’t asked your names,” I say looking down, embarrassed.
“I’m Neteyam, that’s Lo'ak.” He says pointing to his brother. “Kiri.” He points to her. “And Tuk. But you know her name.” I repeat the names enjoying how Neteyam’s name sounds in my mouth.
“I’m (y/n).” He chuckles.
“I know.”
“Oh yeah,” I say tucking the hair behind my ear.
“Stop looking at each other all googly-eyed.” Aonung walks by and I stutter a bit both continuing the lesson slightly embarrassed.
“So, umm, oh yeah, okay. You’ve got to make the bond.” He moves his queue close to the ilus. “Gently,” I emphasise putting my hand on top of his to slow it down.
He makes the bond but rides the ilu unsuccessfully but gets it the second time.
“Well done,” I say clapping excitedly as he rides the ilu back to me.
“Thanks,” He says shooting me a charming smile.
Once everyone’s gotten the hang of riding the ilus we go riding and accidentally meet up with Kiri. We ride the ilus for a while so that everyone has time to practice and once we’re done we head back to the beach to try some breathing techniques to improve their breathing.
“Breathe in. And out.” I lead the exercise and I’m sat next to Neteyam. I can hear that he’s not doing the exercise right so I place my hand on his chest and lower stomach. “Breathe from down here,” I say feeling his breathing and heartbeat. I coach him on how to do the breathing properly but for some reason, his heartbeat increases rather than decrease. “Your heartbeat has increased. Try to calm down.” I say unaware of my brother chuckling in the background.
“Right, okay.” He says, presumably trying to calm down but I only notice his heartbeat increase so I suggest we try again later on.
“Okay, why don’t you guys go back to your pods and get a good night’s sleep then we can continue tomorrow,” I say.
The next few days we keep practising the breathing techniques and mastering riding the ilus, they all got on well except for Neteyam who just couldn’t get the breathing. I gave him a few more days to master it along with the others we’d already practised it for but he just couldn’t understand it.
In these couple of weeks, we’d become friends, quite good friends very quickly so it wasn’t abnormal for us to hang out. Usually, I’d dismiss the siblings and everyone would do their own thing however most of the time we’d hang out. It was this time again, I dismissed his siblings and mine before dragging him to a more secluded part of the beach.
“Where are we going?” He asks as my grip on his arm slides down to hold onto his hand as I pull him with me.
“You’ll see.” I turn back and smile at him before continuing to take him with me. I hop onto a rock and pull him with me, and we both sit down.
“What are we doing here?” He asks slightly confused but charmed.
“Well, I want to help you with your breathing, so you can swim with us.”
“I’m not that bad.”  He says, smugly.
“Okay, go on then,” I say, knowing that he can’t do it. He closes his eyes and starts trying to slow his breathing. I place my hand on his lower stomach feeling his breathing again and rest my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat.
His heartbeat accelerates and his breathing doesn’t get any slower like usual.
“See?” I say, it was an ‘I told you so’ moment but I didn’t want to rub it in. “Come on, Tuk can do it even Lo’ak!” I say.
“I can’t do it because you’re so close to me!” He says, snapping. “Touching my chest and stomach, I can’t focus.”
“Sorry,” I say quietly, shrinking back into myself. “I’ll just…I’ll go so you can practice without me distracting you,” I say sincerely, standing up.
“No! That’s not what I meant.” He says sighing then standing up quickly, walking after me. “I just, you’re really pretty and I really like you and you make me nervous when you put your hands on my chest and I like it but it’s distracting and I can’t focus when you’re around because you’re all I can think about.” He says rambling but I shut him off by gently pressing my lips to his. He stops talking and when I pull back I look at his dazed face.
“Can you focus now?” I ask holding onto his face.
“Fuck no.” He says before pushing his lips against mine and wrapping his arms around my waist. He lifts me up making me yelp in surprise, he spins us around and places me back down but doesn’t disconnect our lips as one of his hands rises to rest on my face. I move my hands up to thread them in his hair pulling a satisfying sound from his mouth. He slides his tongue into my mouth through my slightly parted lips and swirls his tongue around mine. The closeness of our bodies causes butterflies to erupt in my stomach, a tingly sensation takes over my body dancing up and down my spine. Eventually, he pulls away gasping and I smirk at him.
“I see you can hold your breath longer when there’s an incentive.”
“Y-yeah I guess so.” He says rubbing his head.
“I’ll have to bear that in mind then,” I say before pressing my lips to his again, smiling against his lips.

Pregnant Reader Headcannons Part 2 (Aizawa, Shoto, Shinso, and Tamaki)
General info:
Genre: fluff/slice of life \\ total wc: 1,876 \\ posted: 12/06/2023 \\ requested
Part 1 (Izuku, Bakugo, Kiri, Denki, and Sero)
Tumblr media
Aizawa Shota (707 words):
Aizawa always works hard, as we all know.
He not only teaches, but he also works as a pro hero during the night.
He's sleep deprived and very grumpy.. but not to you.
He's sweet and loving, though sometimes tsundere.
He spoils you with gifts and affection whenever he can, trying to slightly make up for the time away from one another.
When he finds out you're pregnant.. he's honestly scared.
He works so much.. how could he ever take care of a child? Not to mention the long and hard nine months you're going to have to face practically alone.
He doesn't show his worry however, he holds you close and kisses your face, reassuring you that everything is going to be okay and that he's happy.
He tries to get paternity leave about four months into your pregnancy, but he didn't actually get it until six months.
And that was from teaching.. he was still working in the middle of the night until you hit eight months.
He was exhausted.
He would wake up at seven, prepare his lesson, make you breakfast, clean up the house, and write you a love letter for you to find. (He secretly placed them in places easy to reach/find).
Afterwards, he goes back to bed and cuddles you until he has to get up again in a few minutes.
Whenever he has to leave you get really sad and it makes him feel so guilty.. especially if you cried or begged him to stay.
He gave you lots and lots of kisses, holding you tightly against him as he apologized, telling you that he would be home before you knew it.
He taught as best as he could even though he hardly got a few hours of sleep, and he graded papers and planned lessons whenever he was on break.
Sometimes he didn't even eat lunch, too busy focussing on his student's papers.
After school he picked you up a gift and wrote you yet another love letter.
He usually returned home with a bouquet of flowers, a treat you've been craving, something to do with one of your hobbies, and a letter full of love.
He'd wrap you in his arms, coddling you with kisses and praise.
The rest of his day was full of you, and only you.
He held you, kissed you, spoiling you in whatever way possible.
He couldn't really sleep well, unable to rest his eyes when you were laying next to him so.. vulnerable.
He usually watched you sleep as he waited for midnight.
When the clock hits midnight he starts to get ready for work, giving you a loving peck every time he passes your sleeping form.
He'll gently shake you awake when it's time for him to leave, telling you that he'll be back in a few hours and that he loved you.
He embraced you tightly, littering kisses up and down your face before giving you a long, proper kiss. Smiling at how you sleepily kissed back.
He left with one more 'I love you', and then he was off to go patrol the streets.
He actually gets off work an hour before he says he does, but he uses that time to get the rest of the papers for his students done.
He gets home about six am, showering before embracing you tightly.
He'll sleep with you for another hour before getting up about an hour later to get everything else done.
All in all he does his very best for you, and absolutely spoils you when he gets paternity leave.
You don't have to do anything but sit there, look pretty, and let your body make that baby.
I'd say he's fairly protective. He doesn't like anyone but 'his' people, and you are the one person who he would do anything for... and maybe Eri, but she comes later.
He intimidates anyone who dares make you uncomfortable.
Though if you're handling well than he'll watch behind you, smirking slightly.
All in all he's a selfless husband. He'd do anything for you, and he doesn't care if that means he gets even less sleep..
(He'll lie about the hours of sleep he's getting so you don't have to worry about him)
Tumblr media
Todoroki Shoto (537 words):
Shoto always wanted kids, but he was too afraid to turn out like his dad.
So he never mentioned them, and you didn't either.
Well until you found out you were pregnant.
You were kinda scared to tell him at first, afraid that it would trigger ptsd from his childhood or something.
WEll, luckily for you, he wasn't upset.. at all.
He was nervous, yes. Really nervous, but he was excited and happy.
After a few minutes of staring at the test, thinking about what it meant, he pulled you into a tight embrace, lovingly kissing the apple of your cheek.
He got paternity leave at about five months.
He followed you everywhere, too worried about the 'what ifs' to let you do anything by yourself.
He wouldn't let you carry anything if it was remotely heavy.
Very protective, but in a lot less obvious way.
IF he notices someone looking at you in a lustful way he'll pull you into his chest, placing a hand on your baby bump as if he was screaming at them 'she's taken'.
If it came down to it, he would physically defend you.
But unlike Bakugo, only if he really needed to.
He'll glare and he'll tell them that you're married, but he won't physically harm them unless they started it, or they touched you/got into your space.
He gets really clingy, but he only hovers over you because he's too scared to hurt you and baby.
He'll usually cuddle you if you reassure him that he won't hurt you -or baby-, but he does get really really insecure sometimes and starts to overthink.
Most of the time the only way to pull him out of that is to be upset about it.
If you get really sad/angry he'll hold you against him, apologizing softly.
He'll help you however he can.
But he can't cook..
He literally almost burned the house down... twice.
He tried and tried, but he just can't seem to make anything but cereal.
So instead he hires you a chef.
He massages your feet, shoulders, back, belly bump, anywhere you need it.
You get a daily dose of cuddles and kisses. That isn't negotiable.
One day you were feeling very uncomfortable and didn't want any touch.. you left bed before Shoto and rejected his kisses.
He literally thought that you hated him.
He let you have your space, but he was so freaking sad.
He was angry too, but only at himself.
He started overthinking, thinking that he wasn't good enough, that he worked too hard, and that you deserve someone better.
The thoughts went on and on until he couldn't take it anymore.
HE shyly went over to you, gripping the bottom of his shirt tightly like a child, his head downcast and tears shining in his eyes.
"D-do you.. hate me?" He asked quietly, a tear falling down his cheek.
Your heart broke and you burst into tears, pulling him onto the couch next to you, holding him close as you sobbed, apologizing and telling him how perfect he was and how much you loved him.
He didn't believe you until you repeated it like five times and gave him over three dozen kisses.
He's still partly broken from his past, so even little things like that can make his brain go into overdrive, and he starts to get insecure.
That aside, he's a very sweet, thoughtful, and loving husband.
Tumblr media
Shinso Hitoshi (165):
You both already stayed indoors most of the time, but this just cemented it.
He was a protective overthinker. He didn't want anything bad to happen to you.
He doesn't like many people, but when it comes to you he would literally kill for you.. even if that ruins his newly gained reputation.
He got paternity leave about four months into your pregnancy, spoiling you for the long five months afterwards.
He'd glare at anyone who stared at you, wrapping his arm around your shoulders to bring you closer to him.
If it came down to it he would use his quirk to get any creep far away from you.
You usually cuddle all day. It's actually pretty calming.
He takes care of you entirely, cooking, cleaning, the works.
He's amazing at foot massages.
He gets more sleep now because all he does is cuddle you.
He's not very good with helping you with your hormones, but the affection make up for it.
Tumblr media
Amajiki Tamaki (430):
Tama is so freaking cute.
He's still shy ofc, but he musters up the courage to protect you.
He will get physical if it comes down to it.
But only if they start to try and touch you.
He's honestly so sweet.
He's so happy and yet so scared.
Out of everyone, he's most definitely the one that over tinks the most.
He worries about everything from him being a terrible parent to his kid getting his anxiety and hating him for the rest of their life because they're being bullied.
He starts to think about birthday parties and prom. What about his child's wedding?! They're father is going to be a mess!
Not to mention labor?!
What if he passes out?
What if you start to hate him?
What if you leave him? What if he fails you and your child?
His thoughts grow darker and darker as he falls into a pit of despair.
He'd probably grow into a depressive and if you don't snap him out of it.
Pull him into your arms, give him a long, proper kiss, and then just cuddle him.
Hold him to your chest, whispering sweet things in his ear.
He'll be better within 5-40 minutes.
Whenever you breakdown because of your hormones he'll break down with you.
He tries to be strong but seeing you cry breaks him.
He'll hold you, trying to reassure you as he's breaking down too.
He'll get your cravings whenever he can.
Even if it's two in the morning, or in broad daylight where he has to deal with a lot of people..
Like Shoto, he thinks you hate him if you get upset with him.
Though unlike Shoto, he won't come to you. He continues to take care of you, but he's obviously reserved.
He won't ask for cuddles, or even move to lay beside you.
He keeps to himself and when he's not taking care of you he's across the room, staring at the floor.
He could go on for weeks if you don't catch him.
He's a sensitive sweetheart, and he does need to be taken care of too.
Oh oh, he's also super good at cooking.
Due to his quirk, he's tried a lot of meals and cooks often.
If you want to try another recipe he'll secretly work on it for days, before shyly giving it to you to try.
He's very very insecure, so he trusts you a lot to let you try new recipes of his.
He loves you a lot, and the one thing he wants is your happiness and love.

word count: 4.3k
language: Tsahík- spiritual leader
description: Confused by your avoidance Ao’nung frustration only seemed to build. Convinced he wanted to play you push him away. Backed into a corner the na’vi has to make some bold decisions.
Tumblr media
Ao’nung did not understand why you were still angry with him. He had apologized to your sibling and even bit back his words, not teasing them as much, but your cold shoulder did not waver in the slightest. His sister sensing the tension had not paired you with him at all for the past week and it was starting too eat away at him. He did not know why he craved your attention so, but it was driving him insane. Barging into his family’s mauri his annoyance was evident. Placing himself onto his mat he sharpened his weapon body language full of agitation.
“You are frustrated brother?” Tsireyas voice was soft as she turned her body too face her older brother. She had an idea why he was angry but the she needed to hear it from him. “Why?”
“That woman she is unbearable! She will not even glance my way! You would have thought I killed her mother.” Casting his knife aside a sigh breached Ao’nungs lips as he turned too his littler sister. “You have been no help always stealing her from me.”
“I have done no such thing, I just thought you did not wish too teach her because..” Puffing her cheeks Tsireya looked for the right words. “The obvious tension.”
“Yet you pare me with the man I literally fought with.” A giggle left Tsireya as she looked at her brothers deadpan look. “Maybe that is the reason she will not speak too you. You did fight her brother after teasing Kiri because your day was bad.”
“No, I am fine with everyone but y/n! I gave the family a gift and all the Sullys talk with me freely.”
“So you have done all this so she will forgive you?” A purple hue cascaded over Ao’nungs cheeks as he looked away from his sister. The man’s pride would not allow him to admit the efforts he went to for something as simple as your attention. “Oh my Eywa you like Y/n!” Tsireya shrill voice filled the mauri as she squealed.
Running to her big brother she pinched his cheek with a smile so big her cheeks began too hurt. “Mother and father will be so happy you found your tsahík!” Swatting Tsireya hand away Ao’nung scoffed at her words. “It does not matter if she will not even look my way.”
“It could have been something you said. You have my tendency too talk…offensively without knowing the impact of your words.” Suddenly entering the conversation Ronal entered the mauri focusing her attention on her eldest son. “Have you been ease dropping?” Ao’nung asked an unamused look on his face. “Does not matter now who is too be my successor I must start training her!”
“She does not wish to have anything to do with me it is no use.” Rolling her eyes at her sons words Ronal sat in front of her two children. “You are to be the chief everyone desires you. If they do not make them, show her your intensions.” Smacking her eldest on his head Ronal rose too her feet once more. “Now grow some balls and court this na’vi! A confrontation is not that hard son.” Placing her hands on her mouth Tsireya attempted too muffled her laughter. Gathering herself the young na’vi followed her mother avoiding Ao’nungs death glare. He could not wait too get out of his family’s Mauri.
Tumblr media
“Why do you still ignore Ao’nung?” Looking over too your sister confusion covered your features. The two of you were sitting on the very shore line the incident had happened. A broken sapling the only proof of the altercation between Ao’nung and your family.
“You know what he did too us, too Lo’ak.” Almost as if you were stating the obvious you crudely answered Kiris questions. Humming in response kiri placed her hands behind her, resting her body weight on them. “We have made peace y/n, why do you hold this grudge, it is unlike you.” Looking away from Kiri you hug your knees too your chest. You were at a loss for words, you did not wish too tell your sister about your feelings. It was already embarrassing enough that Ao’nung had played with your heart for so long. It was degrading knowing how desperate he perceived you, you did not wish for anyone else too form the same view.
“So sorry we are late! Are mother kept us.”
“It is fine.” Responding too Tsireya you mentally thanked Eywa. She had saved you from the pressure of answering Kiris questions. Rising too your feet you were quick to walk over too the girl, shooting kiri a sheepish smile. Rolling her eyes at your avoidance Kiri followed your lead as the two of you met the Siblings half way. Focusing all your attention on Tsireya you purposefully avoided Ao’nungs gaze, hoping that the man would disappear if you focused hard enough.
“I was thinking we could split up even more today. Since y/n is still struggling with Ilus she can stay here with my brother. He is one of the na’vi with the best knowledge of the sea animals.” With a smile decorating her face Tsireya looked between the two of you. She was obviously looking for approval and that was one thing you were not about to give.
“Actually-”
“That would be perfect!” Speaking over you kiri loudly agreed. Face morphing into a glare you looked at your sister. Kiri only wore a smug face as she peered at you. “Let’s head too the healing hut Tsireya.” Nodding enthusiastically, the na’vi waved goodbye, than motioned for kiri too follow. Watching your sister walk past you a wave of nerves washed over you. “Kiri-” As her name breached your lips her yellow eyes turned too yours. The look on her face was enough too shut you up as your ears pinned too your head. Tail drooping and ears down turned, you turned too face the na’vi in front of you, his form standing tall.
He seemed too be nothing but pleased at this arrangement as he looked down at you. It was a visible change in his attitude from the first day he was stuck with you, if anything he looked excited. Confusion clouded your brains as you examined the na’vi not sure why he seemed so please. “Don’t worry forest girl, I don’t bite.” Smirk plastered on his face he placed a hand on your back, guiding you too the water. Shying away from his touch you did not speak a word as you walked into the water, waiting for him to call an ilu. You pretended too not notice how his playful demeanor slightly shifted. Ao’nungs face twisting in dissatisfaction? You did not know. The only thing you knew was today was going too be a long day.
𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅
A hefty sigh left Ao’nung lips as he rested his hands on his hips. “You can not ride the ilu as if you are bear back your legs must make adjustment.” Piercing your lips together you attempted adjust your body correctly. The instructions that seemed to have been said hundreds of time repeating in your head. Looking at your new adjusted form Ao’nung couldn’t help but pinch his nose bridge in frustration. It did not help that you had not uttered a word this whole time, simply humming in acknowledgment. “You know a word or two would help me understand why you are struggling.” Ao’nungs eyes seemed too pierce yours as he walked through the water over too you. It did not take long for the warrior to be inches away. His ocean orbs seeming to be waiting for a response as he stared with an expectant look.
Avoiding his gaze you turned your eyes too where your hand held the ilu. Adjusting your grip you attempted too ignore his obvious request for you too speak. As a response an annoyed groan left the na’vi lips, making your stomach slightly drop. “Than we will do this the hard way.” The words left his lips in a hiss. The questions filling with his intensions soon answered as you felt a strong grip on your thigh. A slight yelp left your lips at the contact, head wiping towards the na’vi. He wore a slight smirk as he peered at you moving your legs into his desired position. It only took moments for all the blood too rush too your face a purple hue decorating your cheeks. In your mind you attempted to remind yourself that he felt nothing but you failed to stop the butterflies from invading your stomach.
Reaching over too adjust your other half you felt your heart race. His face was inches away from your stomach. His hands quickly positioning your leg the way he wanted. His salty yet musky scent entering your nose. You did not realize how much you enjoyed his smell until he pulled away, admiring his work. “Scoot up a little for me.” Attempting to follow his instructions you slid your hips up too the end of saddle. A small laugh left the na’vi mouth as you did. “Here.” Ao’nungs hands finding their way too your hips slid you back slightly. “Perfect”
“Ao’nung” Ears perking up at the sound of his name the male quickly focused his attention on you. A slight smile decorating his face. Heart beating rapidly against your rib cage you couldn’t seem too get your words out as you admired his features. It seemed that all your thoughts were scrambled as his hands rested themselves on you. It was amazing what a simple touch seemed to do. Mouth opened like an idiot you only seemed to be able to stare as the hue on your cheeks darkened.
Gaining slight composure you brung your hands too rest on his. Seeming too get the message Ao’nungs ears lit up. Quickly removing his palms from your hips, he tucked them under his arms. Awkwardly cleaning his throat the na’vi looked the other way, avoiding your gaze. “Well, let see how you do go ahead and ride under.” Expertly covering up his embarrassment he ushered for you too continue. Humming in response you were quick too obligue. It seemed as if this was your hundredth time under the water as the familiar feeling engulfed you.
Although, this time it felt as if you were gliding through the currents. The struggle of fighting to stay on the ilu gone as the water glided around you. The pull of the water running through your hairs as if it was apart of the ocean. Breaching the water a rush of adrenaline filled your body. Your joyful laughter filling the area. Whipping your head around you were quick to find Ao’nung. Smiling brightly you swam your ilu over too his, happiness radiating off of you. “Did you see that! I have done it!” Overcome by excitement you launched your body into Ao’nungs. Arms wrapping around his neck you broke your bond. Your ilu swimming out from under you.
Looking up a smile mirroring yours adored the na’vis features. Ao’nungs arms quick too find your body. Wrapping an arm around your waist he quickly used the other too bring your body over his ilu. “Should of stayed with me, you would have had it down day one.” Stomach sinking at his words you suddenly remembered why you have not been with him. Smile dropping you unlatched your hands from around the male. An embarrassment like no other flooding in as regret settled in. You had literally just thrown yourself at him. Ears pinned too your head you avoided the na’vis now confused gaze. Ao’nung did not understand why your mood had done a full one-eighty.
“I am sorry, I got too excited.” Clasping your hands over your legs you starred down at the waves lapping over your thighs. Suddenly a light hand was placed over yours. His touch was gentle but it could not stop the whispers of doubts from entering your mind. “You are fine Y/n, your achievement was worth celebration.” You could only hum a response as you tried too calm the thumping of your heart. You hated how Ao’nungs presence only seemed to make so many doubts and feeling swirl. Your body and brain not knowing which one too display.
“I will swim back.” Awkwardly shifting your body off his ilu you submerged yourself into the sea. You felt a slight emptiness without his touch as you sank into the water, but that was just another feeling too add too the confusing mix. It seemed Ao’nung was not wiling too give you a break from the conflict he created in you as he was quick too dive in after you. ‘I will swim with you’ signing from above a slight smirk decorated his face. Motioning for him too follow you began to make your way back too shore. Being in the ocean always brought a feeling of peace yet you could not seem to admire the ocean life. Eyes constantly peering at the na’vi next too you. His curls flowing with the currents around him, his body moving effortlessly. It made your heart pang with a familiar pain. He was so beautiful yet that seemed to be the exact reason why he could toy with you as he pleased.
Finally breaching the water you gasped for air. Hoping to inhale as much as possible before making your way too the shore. Ao’nung who breached soon after seemed fine as his breathing settled quickly. You heard the water splash as his form followed. It was obvious he had no intension of letting you escape him. Feet finally touching the dry sand you turned too face the na’vi. Eclipse settling around the both of you. Ao’nung bioluminescent freckles shined with pride as he looked down at you. Taking a deep breath you met his ocean eyes. Ears perked up he waited for you too speak, hopeful for a positive exchange.
“What do you get out of this.” Gaze hardening you looked into him. Eyes furrowing at the question he slightly cocked his head too the side. “What do you mean?” Confusion evident in his tone he questioned you. A heft sigh left your lips as you ran your fingers through your braids. “I do not understand why you continue too play with me. My heart can not handle this, why don’t you leave in peace.”
“I am not playing with you.” Attempting too grab your hands you harshly jerk your body away. “Cut the shit Ao’nung go play with a Metkayinas heart.” Harshly rejecting his action you pull away from his touch. Confusion warped his features at the foreign word leaving your lips but he did not back down. “Why are you so resistant! I have done everything, yet you still deny me!”
“You know you have no real intension with me. You enjoy playing with my feeling taunting me and my brothers with the fact that I admire you. I am tired I cannot live like this! I will stop myself from wanting you so please let me move on.” Eyes glossing over you turn away from na’vi. “Goodnight Ao’nung.” The goodbye left your lips harshly as you sped away from him. Standing there like and Idiot Ao’nung watched your form retreat. He could not seem too process the words you had dumped on him. Too stunned by the fact that you wanted him.
Despite the fact that you had stormed away with the intension too not speak too the male again he couldn’t help the smile that played at his lips. Bringing his hand too his face he covered his growing grin as his stomach swirled with butterflies. The indirect confession had the na’vi swooning. Tail swaying in excitement he rushed back too his mauri. He knew exactly what he must do.
Tumblr media
It had been a day since your interaction with Ao’nung yet your melancholy mood did not leave you. Lo’ak, taking notice too this, attempted too drag you out the mauri but too no avail. You refused your brothers attempt to cheer you up insisting you must stay too help kiri and your mother. You were thankful too Neteyam for dragging your twin away understanding you needed time. Your eldest brother was always intuitive, never pushing you too speak before you felt comfortable. Shooting him a half smile you thanked him, waving goodbye too the two males. You felt a relief like no other knowing the pestering would finally come too an end. Thanking Eywa Tuk’s instructor wanted to take her this evening. There was no doubt your mother and sister had noticed your low mood as well. The both of them treading around you as if the slightest mistake would make you snap.
Currently the three of you were preparing dinner. Wrapping fish and herbs into the seaweed for your mother too cook later. Conversation flowing fluidly between the woman to your left as you worked in silence. Thoughts consuming your brain as your hands worked slowly. It seemed that all your thoughts reverted too him. It made you want to scream in frustration. No matter how hard you tried to think of something else Ao’nung dominated your mind. It was torture. No matter how many harsh facts you reminded yourself of, your heart still called his name. Fingers struggling too seal the seaweed together you slammed the food down on the mat. Hands running through your braids in frustration. Silence filled the Mauri, both woman looking too you with concerned eyes.
“How about we take a break.” Breaking the silence your mother spoke. Placing the food too the side. “How about a new style on Y/n? Your braids have been in for quite a while.” Kiri suggested. Nodding in agreement you accepted her suggestion silently. You knew your braids were fine, but braiding each others hair has always been a way for the woman in your family comfort each other. Occasionally getting the person too open up. Placing themselves behind you the two of them began too unbraid. Helping with the ones you could you attempted too unbraid the front.
Soon your mother’s humming filled the mauri. Immediately recognizing it as your song cord song you felt the tension leave your body. Water running through your now unbraided hair you allowed a tears too flow down your cheeks. No longer being able too hold in your emotions. A vulnerability usually only your family had the luxury of seeing. Continuing too prepare your hair no words were spoken, yet you were given the best comfort you could receive. Your mothers songs resonating in the mauri. Kiris soft touch as she combed out your hair. The gentle yet firm tugs at your hair as they corn rowed it back. A calming feeling filling your soul as the ocean waves could be heard in the background of it all.
Before you knew it Eclipse has fallen. Their hands leaving your scalp as they admired their work. The top of your hair corn rowed back, connecting at the top too your queue to make one huge braid. Your mother left one small braid in the front too shape your face. Admiring their work you couldn’t help but allow a smile too form on your lips. “You are beautiful daughter.” Watching your admire yourself Neytiri wore a soft smile. The two woman proud too have lightened up your mood. Walking into the mauri your brothers were the first to return, their eyes finding you with the mirror.
“Woah look who got a make over.” Announcing their presence Neteyam was the first to speak. “Woah you actully don’t look like shit.” Of course, Lo’ak had to make a backhanded joke. Hissing at her second oldest son Neytiri lightly hit the back of his head. You and kiri could only laugh at Lo’ak scolding. Although the young na’vi showed no remorse. Neteyam could only shake his head at his brother stupidly, a small smile appearing on his lips. A soft mood filled the space around you as you felt your heart lighten. Basking in the presence of your family. Your father was soon to join the rest of you strutting into the mauri. A series of greetings followed as your mother embraced her mate.
“Where is Tuk Ma’Jake?” Peering behind him your little sister presence was missing. The mood in your home slightly dampened as you all shot your father questioning looks. “We have been invited to eat with Tonowaris family. It was implied that only adults should come so Tuk is having a sleep over with her instructors daughter. ” Looking into each of his children eyes he spoke too the whole family. “Ao’nung invited me this evening. I hope none of you have caused any more trouble?” All responding in sync you quickly denied your fathers accusation. A visible sigh of relief left him as his worries seemed to lift off him. A slight guilt pierced your heart, knowing you had slightly lied. But, you did not intend to come clean about the conflict, especially after seeing your fathers relief. “Go put something nice on.” Glancing at Neteyam and Lo’ak Jake slight cringed. “Especially you two.”
Smiling sheepishly the two looked down at their dirty loincloths. It was obvious they had been rough housing throughout the day. Moving too the girl side of the Mauri your mother undid your woven separator. You quickly began too pick out an outfit that was suitable, subconsciously wanting to look your best. “Here sister, wear this.” Pulling you away from your thoughts you peered at the outfit Kiri held in front of you. A light gasp leaving your lips. It was a beautiful top. Small pearls covered every inch of the string. The chest having seashell hanging in the oval shaped gaps too cover your breast. Along side it was a white loincloth with pearl straps on the side connecting the two pieces. “Do you not think it is too much.” voice dripping with doubt you admire the outfit with awe. “Of course not put it on. I’ll wear what you picked out.” Pushing the outfit into your hands kiri snatched your outfit from behind you. Looking too your mother she only shot you an approving smile.
Neytiri knew why kiri wanted you too look your best, knowing the theory Kiri had built around yours and Ao’nungs relationship. The two had even spoke about how he was possible the cause for your saddened mood. “Come on girls we don’t have all night!” Jakes booming voice filled the mauri, impatiences prominent in his tone. A series of grunts was all he got in return as the three of you shuffled into your clothes. Finally Walking out of the mauri the crisp night air greeted your skin. With your nerves building the six of you began your walk too the chiefs mauri.
𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅𓂅
Apon entering the mauri you were immediately greeted by Tonowari. The warm air of their home welcoming you in. Eyes wandering you took in your surroundings. There was set up of food around a small fire. All kinds of fruits, meats and beverages lined up perfectly. Ronal who seemed to be placing the last dish around the fire took her seat around the arrangement. Tsireya was already in a conversation with Lo’ak and Neteyam, her bubbly personality radiating from her very being, Mother and Kiri placed to the side of the Tsahík, and Ao’nung who seemed to be arranging something in the corner. Blood running hot you allowed your eyes too scan his crouched body. Admiring the sight you had not seen since the other night.
You felt your heart skip a beat as he turned your way. Ocean eyes scanning you from top too bottom as you had just done too him. Casting your gaze away you placed yourself next to your father, who was still conversing with Tonowari. Much too your displeasure, that seemed too be Ao’nungs next stop. The na’vi stood tall next to his father. Ao’nungs blue eyes peering down at the two of you. “Hello Jake Sully.” Turning his gaze too the young na’vi a friendly smile covered your fathers face. “Hello Ao’nung, thank you for inviting us here. I’m guessing for a special ocassion?” Following your fathers gaze you looked too the direction the na’vi had come from. Looking at the assortment it was clear no ordinary na’vi could have put this together. There were fish bones, Jewerly, necklaces, spices, furniture, and even meat! Which was extremely rare in the Metkayina clan as they usually only ate aquatic life.
Mouth slightly agape you couldn’t help but stare at the pile, your shock displayed on your expression. “Yes,, you could say that.” A light smile played at Ao’nungs lips as he responded, eyes glued too you. Feeling his stare you tore your eyes from the corner. “Oh yes, thank you for inviting us.” Eyes only meeting his for a second you couldn’t help but tear your gaze away. After the last meeting it was simply too embarrassing, your assumed rejection fresh. “Of course. You are beautiful tonight Y/n.” Eyes widening you look up too the na’vi. A dark hue casting over your face as you pierced your lips together. Looking too the ground you went back too avoiding his gaze, feeling like an idiot for reacting. Of course he still wanted to play with your feeling.
“Well why don’t we eat!” Tonowaris voice boomed through out the mauri, indirectly telling his guests too sit. Getting the message you all gathered around. You sitting next to your father with Tsireya too your left. Of course the na’vi in front of you had too be Ao’nung. Eyes casted down you avoided his eyes, feeling your stomach sink. If it was possible you felt as if his gaze would have burned through you. Your appetite lessening bye the second. “I am sorry we must excuse your youngest today. It is just we did not need her approval for our discussion tonight.” Ronald voice was the first too speak. Her blue eyes casted on your father. Eyebrows furrowing in confusion he met her icy orbs. “Approval for what exactly?” Motioning her hands too Ao’nung all eyes shifted too the na’vi. He sat confidently as he looked at your father. A determination on his face you had not seen before. Inhaling slightly the na’vi spoke words you never expect too hear.
“I seek the family’s approval too court Y/n”

Hearing the unheard
Sully family x deaf!omaticaya!reader part 2
Part 1: silent world loud mind
After Quatrich kidnapped his kids Jake decides that it’s no longer safe for his family to stay with the Omaticaya clan, of course they couldn’t leave you behind
Tumblr media
Right now you and the sullies had arrived at the Metkayina tribe and thankfully they had granted your group uturu, the Tsahik, Ronal, and her son, Ao’nung were weary of you guys but her mate, Tonowari, and her daughter, Tsireya, were kinder.
Tsireya was showing you around the village she was talking and explaining where everything was. The only problem with that was that was that you couldn’t see her face do you couldn’t understand a thing she was saying. You tapped Neteyams shoulder quietly asking him to explain what Tsireya was saying.
“I’ll tell you later” Neteyam mouthed not wanting to be rude and talk while Tsireya was talking, you nod as you all walk into the marui
“This is good. This is great” Jake said looking at the family as Tsireya leaves
“I need you to behave in an exemplary manner. I mean it” Jake says in a harsher tone looking specifically at Lo’ak
“Learn quickly, take your turn, and don’t cause trouble. Got it?” He continues
“I wanna go home” says Tuk about to cry. You pick her up noticing her distress “oh Tuk…” you whisper holding her close in an attempt to comfort her
“This is our home now Tuk” Jake says
“Besides what does your father always say” Neytiri says attempting to cheer her kids up
“Sully’s stick together…” the four siblings mumble
“Now with more enthusiasm, you too Y/N”
“Sully’s stick together” you all say Kiri rolling her eyes a little
Jake and Neytiri go to unpack everything as the kids hear Tsireya calling out to you guys
“Come swim with us” she says smiling
Lo’ak and Neteyam jump into the water happily Tuk following her older brothers as Kiri grabs your arm “come on let’s go in the water” the two of you jump into the water. The underwater reef is beautiful, underwater trees covering a lot of it as fish swim around you. The scenery makes you smiles as you swim around seeing all the different colored marine life and plants. You could see Neteyam and Lo’ak ahead of you smiling you swim around the two surprising them. You can see Tsireya signing something underwater but your out of air and can’t understand her anyways so you move up and out of the water
“What is wrong with them?” Roxto says
“Yeah their terrible divers” Ao’nung laughs
“Stop they just have to learn” says Tsireya in harsh tone
“You swim too fast” complains Tuk to the older kids
“Yeah your probably better at swimming through trees” Ao’nung mocks you all making Tsireya reprimand him again
“Your little finger thing, we don’t understand it” Neteyam says as rolls his eyes at Ao’nungs comment
“I will teach you” Tsireya says calmly
“Where is Kiri?” Roxto says looking around for the girl “Y/N where is Kiri” you where floating on your back not being able to hear a thing they were saying. The Metkayina boy called your name again before realizing that you couldn’t hear and that you weren’t ignoring him. Neteyam tapped your shoulder to grab your attention “I’m sorry what were you saying?” Roxto looked straight at you and asked where Kiri was again.
“Oh she’s still underwater, I think she’s looking at some fish” you respond politely
After a few more minutes you all split up, you and the sully kids going to back to the marui for the night and the others doing their own things
The next day~
It was just after breakfast when Tsireya entered the sully’s Marui saying that it was time for lessons. The kids follow her out saying bye to Jake and Neytiri.
Once you all got to the beach you could see Ao’nung in the water with some sort of creatures
“These are ilu. If you want to live here you have to ride” Ao’nung says with a cocky smile. Tsireya brings one of the ilu’s up to Lo’aks side
“Make the bond. Feel his breath, his strength” Tsireya says slowing backing away “remember to hold on tight” and with that the ilu dives into the water quickly Lo’ak barely holding on. Neteyam soon follows he was able to stay on better than Lo’ak, father way you could see Kiri on her own ilu staying on its back with ease. After the incident you weren’t allowed to ride your Ikran due to the fact that if there was an emergency it would be almost impossible to get your attention
“I’m sorry guys but I can’t ride” your voice was sad, Tuk hugs your side in an attempt of comfort
“Awe she’s scared, what do you think your gonna fall off” Ao’nung says laughing with Roxto. You let out a small hiss under your breath
“No it’s because if we were ever in a dangerous situation she wouldn’t be able to hear someone getting trying to get her attention, idiot” Lo’ak said in your defense. Ao’nung hisses a little at the name calling
“Its ok Lo’ak, I’m gonna go swim over there and try to find Kiri” you say swimming away into the reef
Inside the reef you swim seeing the fish and Kiri is down near the sand playing with the fish, an ilu swims up playfully. Kiri smiles and pets it before making the bond with it and was about to swim off when she spotted you, making the ilu swim to you she grabs you and pulls you on the ilu with her. You hold on to her tightly not wanting to fall off as the two of you zip through the water quickly
You two resurface near the others laughing. God how you missed riding and you though, if I can’t ride alone anymore it’s nice that I can still ride with someone. The Metkayina kids released you and the sully kids from lesson to get lunch saying that they would continue later near sunset.
Soon sunset came around and the 7 out of the 8 of you gather around on a rock to practice your breathing. Tuk unfortunately couldn’t be there due to the fact that it was almost dark.
“Imagine a flickering flame” says Tsireya in a calming voice
“You must slow down your heartbeat” she says and then touches Lo’aks stomach and chest
“Breath in” Tsireya speaks as Lo’ak takes a deep breath and goes to exhale
“Breath from down here. Breath slowly” she says as she touches his abdomen
Tsireya says that Lo’aks heartbeat is fast, apologizing Lo’ak takes another breath as she tells him to focus. You, Neteyam and Roxto exchange knowing looks chuckling slightly as Kiri rolls her eyes annoyed by the childish behavior
After a few minutes you and Kiri can complete the breathing exercise almost perfectly as your able to slow down your heartbeat. Neteyam is good for the most part, it’s Lo’ak who truly struggles with slowing down his heartbeat and breathing so he stays behind with Tsireya to work on that as the rest of you go home. Once you, Kiri and Neteyam are back at the marui they go to get dinner
“I’m gonna go for a swim” you say heading the opposite way from the two
“That’s not a good idea Y/N what if we need to get your attention” Neteyam says being protective as usual
“It’ll be fine Nete, I’ll stay close to the marui” you say pleading with him. Neteyam shakes his head and rolls his eyes before finally giving you the ok, you smile and jump into the water close to the marui. If anything weee to happen either Neteyam or Kiri could just jump down and find you.
You had been absolutely loving the time you we’re spending underwater it was calming and beautiful. A school of glowing fish passed in front of you swimming closely as they circled around you, smiling you stick your hand out as they scatter when an ilu swims up happily chittering before swimming away. You sat underwater staring at the plants around you when you heard something, like a pulse, strong and steady. You looked around curiously before feeling the pulse again like it was under you. And just as quickly as it was there it was gone back to the silence you had grown accustomed to within the past few months

...hmm...just thinkin' about an Avatar "no angst" AU, y'know, like an AU where the characters who died in the first movie just...didn't? For example...
• Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are both alive and well. They officially tied the knot not long after the point when Sylwanin would've died in canon, and already have a child together by the time Jake arrives on Pandora.
• Eytukan also lives and therefore he and Mo'at are still leading the clan, though of course Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are next in line.
• Because the schoolhouse incident never happened in this AU, Grace was never kicked out of the village; her school is still running and she is on good terms with the Omatikaya.
• The RDA is overall less psychotic than they are in canon, and the Avatar Program has been largely successful in establishing diplomacy with the local clans. There is still some level of tension between the humans and the Na'vi of course, because the humans are ultimately still there to mine unobtainium and the Na'vi would prefer there was no mining at all, but in this AU the RDA is at least principled enough to not do things like bulldoze the Tree of Voices or bomb Hometree etc. (so, Hometree is still standing). Jake was never asked to spy on the Na'vi.
• Grace is actually the one to introduce Jake to Neytiri when she brings Jake and Norm along to the school one day. Neytiri is intrigued by the goofy non-scientist "warrior" dreamwalker and Jake finds himself equally intrigued by her; they begin spending more and more time together, and when Jake expresses curiosity about her way of life Neytiri just naturally kinda takes it upon herself to teach him the ways of the clan.
• Because Neytiri is neither tsakarem nor engaged to Tsu'tey in this AU, her romance with Jake is not quite as ~forbidden~ as it was in canon (and honestly they make zero effort to hide their feelings; the whole clan knows lol). The only remaining barrier is the fact that he's a dreamwalker and how that may affect things.
• Jake and Neytiri fall head over heels for each other about as fast as they do in canon; after three months Jake is already fully convinced that he wants remain with Neytiri and the clan for the rest of his life rather than ever go back to Earth, where there is nothing left for him. Even getting the spinal surgery to fix his legs no longer holds any interest for him, since of course his avatar body can walk just fine.
• By that point Neytiri begs Mo'at and Eytukan to let Jake do the coming-of-age ceremonies and become part of the clan so they can become mates. Mo'at and especially Eytukan are hesitant, but Mo'at consults Eywa and Eywa sends a sign of approval, so they allow it. Jake spends about an extra month preparing more specifically for Iknimaya and Uniltaron, and soon after completing those he and Neytiri actually get to have a proper mating ceremony. Jake does go through the permanent consciousness transfer at some point, though I haven't yet come up with the exact circumstances there...
• The Sully kids get to have more extended family! Grandpa Eytukan, Uncle Tsu'tey, and Aunt Sylwanin are all still around, along with a handful of cousins (Tsu'tey's and Sylwanin's kids).
• Quaritch never shot Grace in this AU, which means she never had to undergo the attempted consciousness transfer, which means Kiri wasn't conceived the way she was in canon. Buuuuuut I still want Kiri as part of the Sully family, so in this AU she is Jake and Neytiri's biological daughter and Neteyam's twin. She doesn't have the special Eywa powers that she has in canon, but does still have a spiritually-minded personality, and is a strong candidate for next tsakarem after Sylwanin. Grace still adores and dotes on her, especially when she shows interest in botany.
• Norm and Trudy are happy in a long-term relationship.
• There was no Battle at the Hallelujah Mountains, therefore Paz didn't die and was still around to raise Spider (undecided on how involved Quaritch was though).
• I like to imagine that in this AU Paz and Trudy are good friends, both being pilots and all. It's through Trudy that Paz and Spider become involved with folks from the Avatar program and Spider meets the Sully kids.
• Because she doesn't have the RDA-related traumas she has in canon, Neytiri is totally chill with Spider in this AU. She is mostly just curiously amused by the strange little human boy running around with his Na'vi friends.
• Spider is semi-trilingual English/Spanish/Na'vi. English is his go-to since everyone he knows can speak it, but he can also do some Spanish (Paz and maybe Trudy's influence) and quite a lot of Na'vi (Omatikaya influence, though Norm was thrilled to help when he caught wind that Spider was interested in learning). Sometimes he (subconsciously) mixes up a combination of any two or even all three and spews out mishmash sentences no one else understands immediately and has to stop and re-word.
• Because Quaritch is not the Big Bad Evil Guy the way he is in canon, Spider isn't really bothered by being called Miles. However, the nickname "Spider" somehow just stuck when he was very young so most people still call him that; it's mostly just Paz (and Quaritch) who call him Miles.
• Jake is not Toruk Makto in this AU, because with the RDA being more cooperative/less aggressive, he never needed to be. He and Neytiri are just normal (albeit well-liked/respected) hunters in the clan. Perhaps eventually a day will come when Toruk Makto is needed and Jake will have some reason to step up...but not yet. He's perfectly content being just a regular clan member.
• This has the side-effect of lessening Neteyam and Lo'ak's dramatic stunts as teenagers, because the legacy they're trying to live up to is simply "strong respectable hunter" rather than "legendary olo'eyktan Toruk Makto"

╭┈─────── ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-╰┈➤ ❝ [26/12/22] ❞
He was like no one else you had seen before.
He was a boy from the Omaticaya clan, a foreign stranger who had no business to be seeking refuge on your beaches.
After all, he was clearly suited for swinging in trees, not swimming.
You had heard of the fabled Jake Sully; the Toruk Makto, and as of right now, referred to as a great warrior by none other than Neytiri.
They had travelled a far distance to seek shelter with your people, so that their clan could be safe.
You were against allowing him and his family to hide within the Awa'atlu village. Danger would follow them, and they did not fit in with your people nor the environment.
Alas, you had no power to defy the orders of your father, Tonowari, as he was the Olo'eyktan.
Imagine your surprise when your father, not only simply allowing them to stay, also expected you and your siblings to teach them your ways.
You groaned at the thought, not wanting to spend time with these people or their children.
After their initial introduction, their eldest son Neteyam attempted to get to know you.
However, his kind demeanor towards you quickly turned sour when you made it transparently clear you wanted nothing to do with him.
‘The hell is wrong with you?’ is what Neteyam would think.
You both would want to avoid each other, but unfortunately, that’s not really possible.
He does try to be civil when he can, though. Neteyam has a backbone and won’t let anyone walk all over him, but he’s not like Lo’ak where he’ll freely start fights.
His father warned not to cause problems, and he doesn’t want him to be disappointed in him.
Your sister Tsireya had taken a liking to the younger son, Lo’ak, which meant you were stuck with teaching Neteyam.
So here you were with Tsireya, teaching the two brothers breathing exercises.
You were getting frustrated with Neteyam. His breathing wasn’t on par with your expectations, and time and time again you would smack him (lightly, of course) if he wasn’t doing it right.
“Here, do it like this!” frustrated, you placed your hands on his chest and abdomen. “Breathe like this!”
You took deep breaths through the diaphragm, then gestured your head for Neteyam to do it next.
Well, he wasn’t breathing through his chest anymore, but his heart was definitely going a mile a minute with you being so hands-on with him.
Just when you thought he was finally getting the hang of it, he smacked your hands off of him and said he can do it himself.
You tsked, and decided that if he wants to drown, he can. “Whatever, asshole.”
The next thing you tried to teach him about was riding the ilu and performing tsaheylu with it.
You honestly weren’t expecting much from him, you knew that it would take awhile before he could actually do so.
And you were right. The moment he started gliding underwater, he was thrown off the ilu’s back.
You remained in place treading the water, bursting into laughter at his falling form. This guy really doesn’t know what he’s doing 💀
When Neteyam meets with you again, his face is red with embarrassment. You can’t contain your laughter, and he has to remind himself to stay calm and not yell in a fit of rage.
A few days pass, and Tsireya and Aonung decide to go swimming with Kiri, Lo’ak, and Neteyam.
Tsireya urged for you to come along, and you agreed, because how could you say no to your sister?
As you are swimming, you have to slow down for Neteyam. You were quite irate with the fact that he couldn’t keep up, trading looks with Aonung occasionally.
As you kept swimming, Neteyam was in awe with the underwater scenery.
The schools of fish, bright coral, and the way the light refracted in the ocean made him amazed. He couldn’t believe that he had never seen something so beautiful before.
And then, he looked at you.
The scenery really tied everything together; being surrounded by a vast, blue world, you were like the centerpiece of an artfully woven painting.
It was in this moment that Neteyam really took in your beauty. He thought you were pretty since the first time he laid eyes on you.
But of course, you didn’t like him, so he quickly picked up the memo and forgot all about those thoughts of you.
Almost.
Neteyam was so distracted from daydreaming about you, that he forgot his breathing exercises instead.
You turn around to see him flailing in the water, and start panicking because he’s literally about to drown.
You quickly swam over, wrapped your arms around his waist, and hauled him up to the surface.
You start slapping his face, shaking him by the shoulders to breathe.
He’s coughing and sputtering now, muttering a thank you.
His near-drowning experience is swiftly forgotten when he processes the fact that you basically saved him.
At this point he’s making fun of you because you came to his rescue, and Tsireya and Aonung are not too far behind him either.
Angrily, you shove his head underwater, and swim away.
Later on, when it is well over eclipse, you push a stick through the sand to make stupid drawings.
Neteyam creeps up behind you, and you almost whack him with your stick when he sits down besides you.
“The hell do you want?”
He recoils at your attitude. Neteyam wanted to properly thank you for your help earlier that day, but it seemed now that all hint of gratitude left his body.
“What’s wrong with you?” is what he ends up saying.
You promptly begin to argue. Honestly, you didn’t really have a good reason for being so mean to him all the time.
In all honesty, you did find him kind of cute at first, but worrying about the safety of your clan overpowered that more than anything.
You would never admit this though. Instead, you scoop up a handful of sand, and throw it at him.
Neteyam’s patience completely snaps. He has tried to be cordial with you in the past, but that was it.
He tackles you to the ground, and fighting between the two of you ensued.
“You’re so rude for no reason!”
“What’s it to you?”
You’re both practically yelling at this point as you wrestle on the sand.
Out of sheer anger, Neteyam did something he’s never done before. Make an impulsive decision.
In response to you, he blurted out that he likes you, but you’re such a massive asshole to him that it makes him furious!
You aren’t any smarter than him, and reply with the exact same confession.
You both paused.
Neteyam was leaning over you, hands by either side of your head. All his anger had disappeared. Was this guy smiling??
Your face flushed with embarrassment that you had actually admitted that to him. You wanted the sand beneath you to swallow you whole.
You tried to back up, but found yourself trapped between Neteyam and, well... the sand.
Your about to start yelling again when he places a featherlight kiss against your lips, and that’s when your face erupts into a violent blush.
You can’t hide your face from him, which makes him all the more amused.
“Okay, fine. I guess you’re kind of cute...” you trailed off.
He let out a toothy grin, sharp canines on display. “I always thought you were.”
Okay, now you really wanted to be six feet underground.

TEACH ME ★
🖇️ Neteyam x Omaticaya! fem! reader
🖇️ warn. SPICY ASF, tension, no smut
🕯️In which you are Neteyam’s childhood best friend, and because you trust him the most, you ask him to teach you how to kiss
A/N I LOVE TENSION. Ending kind of ass bcs I was gonna write more but it got too long
Tumblr media
Neteyam has been by your side ever since you could remember. He was glued to your hip, and you don’t remember a second he wasn’t there when you needed help. When the sky people came and burned down your homes, again, he was suddenly there, forcing you to get up and leave while you wailed out cries in his arms.
He was there to teach you how to hunt, as your father, former Olo’eyktan, was killed in the great battle against the Sky People many years ago. You trusted him with all your heart, and he was there to help you, always.
Which is why you expected his help again, but this time, your request was much more… intimate. You knew he had more experience than you. He had a girlfriend before, for a short while, but he broke up with you for reasons he didn’t tell you.
You didn’t care, his girlfriend was mean, anyways. You sat on a tree next to Neteyam, laughing about things that didn’t matter as you made a beaded necklace.
Your laughter quieted as you bit your lip. You were nervous to ask him, and you couldn’t quite figure out why. You opened your mouth, but the words died on your tongue. Neteyam noticed, and turned to you. “What is wrong?” He asked, hand on your arm.
You laughed nervously, swinging your feet gently. You then turned to him, face suddenly serious that is surprised him. “Neteyam, I must ask you a favor.” You said quietly. The two of you were alone, but still, you were afraid somebody could hear — maybe Eywa.
He furrowed his eyebrows, frowning as he nodded, serious as you. He was concerned. You then became shy, turning your head to the side. “Can you teach me how to… kiss?” He leaned away, eyes wide in surprise.
You looked at him, worried, and opened your mouth to tell him that he didn’t have to if he didn’t want to, but you were cut off by his laugh. “That’s it?” He laughed, relieved. You couldn’t help but smile too after seeing his.
“Yes- Yes, I can teach you. But why do you want to learn?” He asked, eyes avoiding yours as he smiled nervously. You didn’t know it because you were a big airhead, but he had the biggest crush on you since forever.
Lo’ak knew it, Kiri knew it—hell, even Tuk knew it. “I am almost of age to be chosen by a man and mate before Eywa. But I have never even held a man’s hand?” You whisper shouted, embarrassed as you buried your face into your hand.
Neteyam sighed, grabbing your hand from your face. He was just glad that it wasn’t because you liked somebody—somebody other than him. “Alright, then. Face towards me.” He instructed you, and you cleared your throat as you looked at him.
“Okay, first thing’s first. Try not to breathe through you nose.” He told you, pointing at his own. You nodded as you straightened you posture. “And, you have to- you kind of- ugh.” He groaned, finding it much harder to explain in words.
“Just copy me.” He said, giving up. His eyes searched your face, his hand sneaking to cup the side of your face. His breath hitched as he looked at you.
You were looking up at him with those doe eyes expectantly, and your face fit perfectly into his palm. “Close your eyes.” He whispered as he leaned in, and you did as told, waiting for anything.
You felt his lips on yours. It was a soft, short kiss. Your lip was between his, and your heart burned at the feeling. He was gentle, treating you as if you were glass. “Tilt your head.” He told you in a hushed tone between his kiss, his words almost slurred as he rushed to kiss you once more.
You tilted your head, and he pushed his lips harder against yours. His hands brushed down your body, before resting on your hips. Your body automatically moved, now on your knees, head tilted downwards as you cupped both sides of his face and pressed your body against his.
You kneeled between his legs, the kisses getting more intense and turning from an innocent kiss to an intense make out. You felt yourself getting lost into your feelings, forgetting why you were kissing him in the first place. He hungrily kissed you, swallowing your hitched breaths as his fingers teased your skin.
As you pushed your weight on him, he almost fell back as he supported himself against the fat branch, snapping out of it as he pulled away, chest heaving. The air filled with sound of your outrun breaths and his.
He let out a laugh. “You don’t need practice at all.” He told you, looking up at you and restraining himself from taking it any further, although he wanted to; he wanted to so bad. You looked down at him with hazed eyes and plump lips that made you so damn attractive, his nails digging into the bark as he stopped himself from smashing his lips on yours once more.
You let out a breathy laugh, happy, though you didn’t know about what. “Neteyam? Where are you?” The two of you heard a groan from under you, and you and Neteyam looked at each other, laughing.
You got off him, turning you back towards Neteyam and looked down at the person calling for him. Neteyam let out a silent breath as you finally looked away, his tail waving wildly as he recalled what just happened, his fingers brushing against his lips. God, you were so perfect.
“Lo‘ak! We are up here! We will be there in a second!” You called down to him, and he waved his arm. You looked back at Neteyam, and he quickly recollected himself and made himself seem nonchalant.
“Come, they are looking for us.” You said to him, before climbing down the tree. You laughed silently to yourself as you climbed down the tree, jumping on the grass. You giggled as you remembered the way he stole your breaths in between kisses, or the way his fingers brushed against the curve of your waist.
Lo’ak looked at you, judging you with his eyes. “Ew, what’s up with you?” To which you rolled your eyes at, purposefully hitting him with your tail. “It is none of your business.” You hissed, crossing your arms as you shuddered, feeling yourself smiling as you thought of Neteyam again. Perhaps, there’s something there that wasn’t there before.

‘ASAP SI [English] to be shocked, be startled
Adult Neteyam returns home to find you’ve grown into a beautiful woman, and you’ve been keeping a secret from him all these years.
18+   |   1,177 words
My hands had begun growing tired, the joints in my fingers aching, but I still had a little time before my parents were expecting me home, and I could finish just a little bit more here at the mother loom.
Li’ei and Zoavey had been generous to allow me not only to use the mother loom, but to teach me. Between them, they possessed over 100 years of experience creating tapestries and cloths for our clan, and they were both held in very high regard for what they provided to our people.
“Y/N,” Li’ei chastised the next time I sighed under my breath, “go home. We must all rest.”
I sighed once more, feeling the thick, coarse fabric between my fingers. “I feel as though the job will never be done.”
Zoavey tsk’d at me. “It does not matter how long it takes - only that you do the job properly.”
Standing up, I nodded at the two elders. “Thank you for your time today. May I return tomorrow?”
Li’ei smiled. “Yes, darling.” I felt compelled to ask every day, even though they had made it clear they were training me so that I could take their place when the day came.
Touching my forehead and lowering my hand, I signed my respect to my elders, who had so graciously taken me under their wing, and quickly turned on my heel to make my way through our village back to my parents’ home.
--
The closer I got to the center of our village, to my home, the louder things seemed to be. It’s was always quite busy at this time of day, but this seemed to be something else; a commotion, almost.
As I neared the epicenter of home tree, my parents rushed to me, almost out of nowhere.
“Y/N!” my mother gasped, wide eyed. “Jakesully and his family have returned.”
The tools I was carrying fell from my hands, clattering on the ground. I should have bent and grabbed them, pay them the respect they deserve, but I am frozen to the ground.
Neteyam is home.
Suddenly, I am transported to five years ago. Once again, I felt Neteyam gripping my arms too tightly as he told me his family was leaving, and he didn’t know if they would return. He left, with so much left unsaid between us.
Tears pricked at the back of my eyes, and I forced them away.
“Where are they?” I asked  finally, after a long pause that I knew my mother noticed.
She gestured to the fires, around which we cooked and ate our meals. I saw it then, the large crowd gathering, almost too large to push my way through - but I knew I had to try.
“Sorry, excuse me, sorry,” I repeated over and over as I wormed my way through the throng of bodies here to see Taruk Maktow and his family.
It’s was hard to believe it had been 5 years. After the Sky People left and Jakesully and his family didn’t return, we weren’t sure what to think - maybe they had died in battle, or found another clan they wanted to stay with instead.
I never gave up hope... but it was hard some days, especially with Ueku nearly relentlessly pursuing me the last two years to be his mate.
Ueku was one of the most desired of The People, our strongest hunter, and everyone was staring to look at me as if I had two tails - they could not figure out why I would not agree to be his.
And it felt so dumb to explain that it was because of a crush I’d had when I was fifteen, on someone I hadn’t seen since then.
It took much effort, but I finally made it to the front of the crowd, and saw them standing there.
Oh, they looked so different. All four children were taller, the boys had much broader chests and Kiri and Tuk had grown into lovely young women. I wanted to cry and rush forward to greet them, but they were being bombarded with welcome greetings.
I stood back, staring, and finally allowed myself to really look at Neteyam. His hair was longer now, halfway down his back and braided intricately, woven through with many beads and fine weaves. He was taller, as tall as his father, with strong shoulders and a wide, firm chest.
The sight of him made me feel light headed. I closed my eyes, and took a steadying, deep breathing.
“Y/N!”
--
Tuk called her name, and Neteyam snapped his head to see where his youngest sister was looking. Since the moment they’d arrived, his only thought was to find Y/N, his oldest and best friend.
Tuk took off from next to him, rushing towards a woman in the crowd who was almost unrecognizable. This beautiful woman lifted Tuk up in her arms effortlessly and hugged her tightly.
She was an angel. Her hair was impossibly long, and she wore a woven crown around her face to keep it out of her eyes. Her leggings were green, and he could tell the care and effort that went into making them. Tucked into them were various tools for use on the loom.
She looked tired, but her amber eyes were wide and full of joy. His eyes trailed down to her smile, ear to ear as she excitedly talked to his sister, her full lips spread across white teeth.
Ewya, was this Y/N?
Tuk was pulling her towards him now. He lifted his foot to take a step forward, but before he even moved an inch, Lo’ak had her in his arms.
“Y/N!” he shouted excitedly.
“Oh, Lo’ak!” she exclaimed, returning his hug enthusiastically. It made a quiet rage bloom in Neteyam’s chest, and he shoved it down quickly.
“Wow!” Lo’ak exclaimed, taking a step back, and Neteyam stepped up beside him. Lo’ak threw his elbow forcefully into Neteyam’s side.
Neteyam winced and grabbed his ribs as Lo’ak said, “Y/N sure grew up, didn’t she?”
“Well, we all did, Lo’ak. It’s been five years!” Y/N replied with a soft smile. Even though she was speaking, the beauty of her voice sounded like a song to Neteyam’s ears.
Neteyam raised his hand to his head, touching his fingers to his forehead, and lowered it as he took a step towards Y/N. “Y/N...” he said, but after all these years, words failed him.
He had spent countless nights thinking of Y/N, but never had he imagined her to have such an effect on him when he was finally able to stand in front of her. His mouth felt dry, and his heart was beating out of his chest.
“Neteyam,” Y/N said, returning the gesture. “I’ve missed you.”
She threw her arms around his shoulders, and after only a moment, he wrapped his around her waist. She even smelled lovely, like fresh tapestry and earth, and he took a deep breath.
He would savor this moment forever.
--
It was a while before I could get Neteyam alone, but I was determined. Something about the look of shock on his face when he first saw me gave me hope.
Had he been missing me too?
After we ate and the excitement began to die down a little as the singing began, I grabbed Neteyam and pulled him from the crowd, into the jungle.
We walked in silence for a while, until I found a familiar spot to sit. It was a large fallen tree next to a small pool of water. We could sit and dangle our legs, our toes just dipping in to the small pool.
“I missed you, Neteyam,” I said finally. Though I had been shy when Neteyam left, five years had made me bold. It felt as if I had to tell him how I felt, or I might stop breathing. “I thought of you often.”
Neteyam smiled, and though much about him had changed, his smile had not. “I missed you as well, Y/N. Lo’ak had to tell me I was not allowed to speak of you anymore... but I still did.”
I glanced away for a moment. “It’s been a long time. You might have... you might have found yourself a woman, while you were gone. I, uh, Ueku has asked me to be his woman, but I-”
Neteyam cut me off. “Ueku! Bah!”
I grabbed his arm, trying not to laugh at the disgusted look on his face. “I told him I would not. Well, that I could not. Neteyam, I have been yours since you left. I wanted to tell you, but you left so fast, I could not.”
His look of anger softened, and his eyes widened in surprise. “You would be my woman, Y/N?”
My lips spread into a wide smile. “I would.” My heart felt as if it might leap out of my chest, and my fingers trembled. I clasped my hands together to steady them.
Neteyam reached over and took my hands into his.
“I have thought of almost nothing but returning and claiming you for my own, since we left. Y/N, you have become more beautiful that I ever could have imagined, and one of our people’s most prized women. I would be honored to have you as my mate.”
The stars swam in front of my eyes, and I reached up and pulled Neteyam’s face to mine, capturing him in a kiss I had waited five years for.
He wasted no time, and lifted me up into his lap so that I was straddling him as he deepened the kiss.
“Teyam,” I moaned into his mouth.
“Paskalin,” he replied in a breathy voice, pulling me even closer to him. His hands roamed my body, up and down my back, and I pushed down onto him, creating friction between us that made him groan into my mouth.
He was kissing me desperately, feverishly, as if we would have to part for another five years after this.
I was equally as desperate as I pushed him back onto the mossy tree, and lay on top of him, stopping to look at him for just a moment.
“I should have come back sooner,” he said with a sly grin, and I laughed.
Leaning down, I pressed my head to his chest to hear his heartbeat - it was quick, to match mine.
“We have all the time we need now,” I whispered, and he wrapped me in a tight hug.
“I will never let you go again,” he whispered, his voice full of determination and reverence.
I believed him.

𝐉𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐘 - ( 𝐩𝐭𝟐 ! )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
characters -> kiri ! neteyam ! lo’ak ! tsireya ! ao’nung ! roxto !
synopsis -> how the na’vi girls / boys react to another metkayina member flirting with you !
warnings -> none !
layout ib -> the lovely @qvrcll !
Tumblr media
ଓ — kiri
kiri doesn’t really get jealous, she does however, get insecure. she starts noticing one of the metkayina members flirting with you and she instantly wonders if you’ll leave her for them or if you like them instead of her. it’s something she can’t help but panic about, needing reassurance from you.
ಇ — neteyam
he gets jealous, not super often though. today is different, it seems, as he can’t stop glaring daggers at the metkayina member that keeps trying to flirt with you. he stays silent for a decent amount of time, until it’s just him too much and he pulls you aside and away from them, snapping at you about his jealousy. this situation is followed up with an apology and neteyam feeling guilty.
ಇ — lo’ak
he’s the definition of jealously. anytime he sees one of the metkayina members flirting with you, he wants to punch them. this time, he wants to punch ao’nung. ao’nung is teaching you how to ride an ilu, but he’s also being very close and flirtatious with you. you pretend not to notice, feeling awkward and uncomfortable, glancing at lo’ak for help. now, this is what made him break. he immediately stomps towards you and ao’nung, gently grabbing your arm and taking you away from him, turning around quickly to send a warning glare to ao’nung.
ଓ — tsireya
she gets insecure more often than jealous. when she sees the metkayina member flirting with you, her immediate reaction is trying to stay positive and trying to keep it together. later, when the two of you are just sitting on the beach and talking, she brings the situation up. tsireya likes talking about her feelings, so you just listen and comfort her as she rants about how it made her feel. after that, you always remind her that you love her and no one else.
ಇ — ao’nung
oh lord, don’t even go near ao’nung when he’s jealous. he gets so possessive sometimes, constantly arguing with anyone who even tries to make a move on you. this time is even worse as lo’ak is the one flirting with you. you pray for lo’ak as ao’nung walks over to him, staring him down and ready to punch him. before he can do anything, you scoff and grab him by his arm, taking him away from lo’ak.
ಇ — roxto
he doesn’t really get jealous, but when he does, he tells you. you and roxto have a very strong relationship with lots of communication, so when he sees another metkayina member flirting with you, he immediately pulls you aside and you have a open and honest conversation.

Explaining Periods to The Sullys
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: reader explains what a period is to the Sully kids (with the help of kiri)
pairings: neteyam x reader implied couple(aged up), reader x sully kids + spider
genre: idk, informative??/ comedy???
author's note: you guys didn't forget about dr. max patel, right? I barely see him in anyone's writing. proofread once
warnings: mention of female bodies(?), periods, blood, slight gun mention(nothing violent), maybe a few swear words, slight suggestive comment, slight stabbing threat(threat was made as a joke- calm down guys)
word count: 1.6k words
Tumblr media
"OOF" you rubbed your forehead as your butt had just landed on the floor.
"I'm always forgetting that my avatar form is taller than my human body" you sighed as you got up.
"This is the third time this week that you've bumped into that doorpost" Norm snickered before hitting himself on the light bulb above him that was illuminating the lab.
"Crap" he murmured, rubbing the top of his head in pain.
"Ha!" you let out in retaliation.
Spider and Lo'ak laughed at the scene unfolding while Kiri and Neteyam rolled their eyes.
"Anyways, what was it that you kids wanted from the lab?" Norm squinted at the Sully kids, weary of their intentions.
"We just wanted to see where it is that y/n does all of her experiments" Lo'ak responded as he played around with the light fixtures, flipping through some different light colors illuminating a plant.
"Whatever, just don't break anything or the top scientist with have my head for any more expenses." Norm warned
"It's alright, Norm. I'm watching them. They won't break anything. And if they do, I won't take Lo'ak hunting again." You reassured him.
"Hey, what do I have to do with that! You know if you don't teach me how to use one of those rifle thingies then I'll have to wait for my dad. And you know how that is. The last time he taught me was months ago, he's been too busy teaching Neteyam." Lo'ak side eyed his older brother.
"Pff, it's not my fault that you're not responsible enough and that dad gets nervous every time you have a gun in your hands." Neteyam shot back.
"But-"
"Then you'll just have to stop touching everything you see in the lab, Lo'ak. You see? Easy peasy. Problem solved. Then you won't break anything and I can give you your next lesson tomorrow." You patted Lo'ak's back and gave Norm a reassuring smile. 'Don't worry,' you mouthed and turned around, focusing your attention on the Sully kids.
"So, what's the plan?" you tilted your head in question.
"Well, I've gotta get a new oxygen tank for my mask and-" Spider headed for the cabinets
"SPIDER, are you for real?"
"What?" he shook his shoulder in question.
"You're still using those crappy RDA masks that need a wire and oxygen tank and all of that. I thought Norm gave you the new ones, from my research company."
"You own a company?" Max teased as raised his eyebrows at you.
"No... you know what I mean. I mean the science department that I'm part of. The new scientists that came to Pandora after your disastrous RDA was kicked out." You shot a look at the doctor.
"Really, you didn't have to go that far..."
"Oh, lighten up Max." you patted his shoulders. "Anyways, where are those new masks? Spider needs one, he's still using those outdated ones."
"Really, those old masks shouldn't even work anymore." Max shook his head and handed Spider a mask, "Here you go, kid."
"I thought Norm gave him one." Max crossed his arms while conversing.
"Nah, I guess Norm's been too distracted with the Na'vi school he took over after Grace" You shrugged.
"Yea... well, see you later guys, I have some more research to work on." he waved before walking away.
"So, Spider, let's get this thing on. All you have to do is take off all of those wires and that old mask. Next, just put this one on like you did the old one and adjust it and it should start working immediately." You helped Spider with the process while Kiri visited her mother's avatar body.
"No tank or anything?" Spider questioned.
"Nope, this has a little filter thing that automatically filters out the carbon and nitrogen inside the mask. No more heavy tank for you to use." You threw the old air tank to the disposal pile and was headed towards one of your plants before being interrupted by Lo'ak.
"Hey y/n, what's this?" Lo'ak held up a packet of pills.
"Lo'ak, put that back." Neteyam scolded before snatching the pills from his hand and placing it back on your table.
"It says, birth-control," Lo'ak scrunched his eyebrows while reading the words on the wrapper.
"Take once a day to prevent pregnancy..."Spider read aloud before putting the pills back.
"Woah..." Lo'ak and Spider let out in unison before giving you and Neteyam looks.
"Are you guys...doing ummm...having errr" Lo'ak stumbled as tried to get the words out of his mouth.
"First of all, that's none of your business! Second, those pills aren't even for my avatar body. They're for my human body, and not for what you think it is."
"Then for what?" Spider raised his eyebrows at you.
"They're for my period. But only for my human body because my avatar doesn't get periods." You sighed in having to explain periods to fifteen-year-old boys.
"What's a period?" Lo'ak asked.
"Women things." Kiri responded as she rolled her eyes at her brother's nosiness.
"And how would you know? You're a na'vi." Spider interrogated.
"Because girls talk to girls about things they don't talk to boys about. Duh." Kiri shot back.
"So, what is it?" Lo'ak waved his hands in question.
"Yea, what's a, um- a period? Isn't that the little dot that goes at the end of a sentence? At least that's what Norm taught me..." Spider trailed off.
"Yea, you're partially correct, Spider," you gave a small nod as you thought about how you were going to explain things.
"But umm.. I'm talking about a different type of period called menstruation. It's when a female human bleeds for 5-7 days straight each month." you let out as you saw Spider's and Lo'ak's faces change from curiosity to shock.
"L M F A O- Is that how you spell it? FIVE TO SEVEN DAYS STRAIGHT?? You've got to be kidding me. You don't expect us to believe that, right? I mean, sometimes Spider and I do dumb things but you don't expect us to be stupid enough to fall for that, right?" Lo'ak simply stared at you, waiting for a response.
"No, she's right. You guys could definitely learn a thing or two about humans." Neteyam rolled his eyes at his younger brother's ignorance.
"Wait, wait, wait," Spider held his arms out in shock, "You actually bleed for up to a week and don't die? How the hell do you not die?"
"And why do you bleed for that long? And from where are you bleeding?" Lo'ak pitched in.
"She's bleeds from her pu-"
"Kiri." Neteyam warned.
"What? It's true. Might as well be blunt with these two skxawngs." Kiri rolled her eyes again.
"So basically, when a human female starts getting more physically mature, sorta like coming of age.. Her body starts preparing for pregnancy every month. It basically lines the uterus and gets ready for a baby. When the body sees that there is no baby, the uterus starts shedding it's lining for about 5-7 days until it's cleaned up. The shedding comes out in blood and that's what causes the bleeding."
"..."
"What?" You cocked your head in question.
"So basically, because you didn't get knocked up, your body bleeds?" Lo'ak squints his eyes, trying to understand the information he was just given.
"What's so hard about that?" Spider shrugged.
"WH- WHAT'S SO HARD ABOUT THAT?! Are you guys kidding me or what?" You mouth drops at the nonsense you hear coming from the younger boy's mouth.
"You bimbos, it's not just bleeding. It involves many symptoms such as heavy cramping, back pain, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, mood swings, headaches, appetite changes , and more." Kiri stated as she crossed her arms.
"So the symptoms of a cold, big deal." Spider spat out, trying to minimize the severity of everything.
"Oh I'm sorry, did you just say big deal? Maybe I should put a fucking knife in your stomach to see if that's a big deal or not because that's what the cramps feel like. Or maybe, better... I should kick you in the fucking balls, right?" You lashed out at the boy in front of you.
"Damn, chill, he didn't mean it, right, Spider?"Lo'ak tried to calm the situation, "Maybe she's on her period right now..." he whispered.
"Avatars don't have periods you dingbat" Neteyam let out.
"Well maybe her human form is experiencing cramps in the link pod and so the emotions are traveling through the conscious connection and that's why she's so cranky." Spider stepped back, not trying to get on your bad side.
"..."
You only blinked in response as Kiri and Neteyam bursted out laughing.
"What in the name of eywa..."
"I've never heard so much bullshit come out of someone's mouth before." Neteyam shook his head at the human boy's imagination. "You know, y/n told me that humans usually read a big guide book before joining the avatar program... well maybe you should read one on human biology. It's only fitting since you're ehh, you know..." Neteyam trailed off.
"Ha, I'm glad I wasn't the one to say something stupid this time" Lo'ak applauded himself.
"Nah, you too Lo'ak. How about you read it with Spider so you can both giggle at the pictures and whatever shit you two happen to read" you turned away from the boys as you went back to examining the plants you were experimenting on.
"Does she really bleed from her va-" Lo'ak was cut off.
"And for a week straight..." Spider chimed in.
"Shut up!" Kiri's voice rang through your ears as you quietly giggled to yourself.

(Gif not mine)
Pairing: Ao'nung/Female!Sully!Reader/Rotxo (Platonic)
Warnings: none
Taglist: @alinacecee @mooniequeen
A/N: Another short but hopefully sweet request <3 Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~
Tsireya had looked around the moment Rotxo mentioned Kiri was missing, only to find another girl was missing other than Tuk, "Has anyone seen Y/n?"
"Not another one," Ao'nung rolled his eyes, "How many of you Forest People tend to wander?"
Lo'ak's eyes narrow as they land on the reef boy, "Shut up, bro."
"We can split up and look for them," Neteyam quickly takes charge, likely to break whatever tension was straining between his brother and the chief's son.
Tsireya liked the idea and offered to take Tuk with her while Neteyam took Lo'ak. As the group of children split up, Rotxo urges Ao'nung to follow him and together the two friends take a deep breath and dive down toward the reef below, looking around for the missing Sully sisters.
It took some time, but they stumbled across you first, the teenaged forest girl aimlessly swimming around the reef, admiring the various different fish and colors without a care in the world, unaware of the reef Na'vi who have taken notice of you. Rotxo and Ao'nung swam leisurely toward you, watching as you inched close to one particular coral, with long, purple soft-looking arms that gently floated with the current, and at the center bore tiny, acid-colored tentacles. You appeared entranced by the peculiar coral and reached an arm out to it. Only then did the reef boys pick up their speed in their panic.
Rotxo makes a deep grunting sound in the back of his throat, twice, to get your attention. When you didn't hear, Ao'nung speeds forward as quickly as possible, swimming as fast as he could. The moment he was in reach, he reached out and roughly grabbed your arm, pulling you away from the coral and startling you.
Whipping your head around at your assailant, alarmed until you realized who was holding onto your arm, then you glared at Ao'nung and pulled away. Your eyes wander until they find Rotxo, who then uses his hands and arms to try and communicate one simple word to you. Ao'nung only rolls his eyes when you tilt your head in confusion, closely watching Rotxo sign until you respond by shrugging your shoulders and shaking your head, before pointing up to the surface.
The three of you simultaneously swim up and the moment you break the surface, Ao'nung is scowling at you, "What were you thinking, forest freak? Wandering by yourself when you clearly know nothing about our home?"
"Take it easy, Ao'nung." Rotxo defends.
Already used to Ao'nung's distaste of you and your family, you choose to ignore him and only address his kind friend, "What were you trying to say to me down there?"
"I was trying to tell you it stings."
You tilt your head in curiosity, "What stings?"
"The coral you almost touched. It is called 'fantail'. It stings."
"Oh." You take a moment to absorb the new information before deciding to be courteous and turn to Ao'nung, "Thank you for stopping me."
The chief's son doesn't expect the gratitude, eyes widening a fraction before he covers up his shock with a scoff, looking away, "Next time, I'll just let you do it. Maybe you will learn your lesson."
Ao'nung then turns and starts to swim away, back the way he and Rotxo had come looking for you. As you watch him go, Rotxo paddles up to you with an amused smirk,
"Don't mind him. He usually gets that angry when he's scared."
"Scared?" You spin back to Rotxo, "Why was he scared?"
"Ao'nung doesn't like watching pretty girls get hurt."
Warmth spreads up the back of your neck and over your face, eyes immediately darting down to avoid the pleasant grin on the reef boy's face. Flustered, you mumble under your breath, "Or maybe Ao'nung doesn't like getting in trouble if someone gets hurt under his watch."
Rotxo laughs, but it isn't mocking or cruel. The reef boy's laugh was a soft, sweet chime that was followed by a genuine smile, "Stick around us a little more, Y/n, and you'll see what I mean. Just-- avoid the fantail from now on, okay?"
The smile you offered was shy, but a promise, nonetheless, "You got it."
~~~~~~~~~
A/N: Tbh, while I was researching for this, I couldn't find any sea life that was poisonous and harmful to Na'vi lol. I checked every wiki page and my atwow visual dictionary and couldn't find anything other than the fantail coral. It has stinging tentacles for catching zooplankton, but it doesn't mention whether or not the Metkayina avoids it. So, for the sake of the story, we'll use it 🤣 But if anyone has a better flora or fauna option I could've used, let me know cause I swear I looked everywhere.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neteyam Sully x Omatikayan oc/reader
Warning: light smut and Fluff, neteyam and reader are aged up
Wordcount: 1.8K
Charater: I use a name because it's easier for me to write but change it with yours or whatever you want, the character is female, daughter of two strong warriors of the Omatikaya clan, she herself is known for her dowry in battle.
( I accept requests if you have ideas I would love to hear them, I accept requests on Jake sully, Lo'Ak, neteyam, Kiri, Tsireya, aonung and Neytiri, all kinds of stories are welcome ;) write in private or in The comments 💙
and sorry for any grammatical errors but this is not my first language ♥♡
We had grown up in the Metkayina clan by now, I have a nice scar on my shoulder from the battle but I can say that I saved Nateyam from certain death.
Now I'm remembered as the strong warrior with the heart scar, I'm still not too used to the way of fighting of this water clan it doesn't come too natural to me even if according to Ronal and Tsireya I'm an excellent warrior also for this clan.
" how are you?" Tsireya asks gently looking at me from the water and leaning her elbows on the wooden bridge "Me? I don't know if I want to talk about it...Why don't we talk about you and Lo'Ak? Your love problems empty my mind" I say wallowing feet in the clear water next to her "ok...then it's pretty good apart from my mother doesn't agree too much on our relationship as always, she thinks Lo'Ak is reckless and that I should look for a serious man to mate with and marry" she snorts as she floats and looks at the sun kissing her skin " well I've been friends with the Sullies since I can remember and can confirm your mother's words Lo'Ak is reckless and reckless but he's a very good friend as well as I also think a great boyfriend, he's faithful, loyal and tremendously sweet and sensitive more than I want to admit and show" I say smiling softly to my friend "I don't know I wanted you know...to take the next step with him to connect, but my mother does not give me his blessing and not I feel like doing it behind her back I think she would kill me first and then the guilt "I look at her fake shocked" do you want to connect?! Know that after I want to know everything the first time is always crazy" I laugh and she splashes me with water giggling embarrassed " as if you two have never done " shrug " Neteyam and I joined our braids several times but we never we find ourselves too much in agreement on when to take the other step " she looks at me smiling " why don't we talk about you and Neteyam then ?" I roll my eyes and she giggles " I was going to kill him this morning about what Neteyam and I have different visions, he wants to recreate the stability of his family but I'm more of a solitary warrior than a mother of a family" I say throwing myself in the water with her "yes? " she giggles following me " I want to fight, it's my nature I was born for this I'm descended from generations of warriors but I know that sooner or later we should have children and I won't be able to be a warrior anymore like this... well I almost killed myself more than once i sometimes wonder why he chose me as his mate i'm so difficult and on the other hand i'm afraid to disappoint him i'm afraid i'm not worthy of neytiri as a yardstick she's crazy as a mother " she swims around me and laughs " but you want to take that step with him I can see it from your eyes, you two complement each other as Lo'ak and I complement each other, and if you want children you will do something else for a while, you will hunt and I could teach you something about a healer plus it doesn't mean that as soon as you do that you'll get pregnant you're 20 you have time for that you'll be a great mother because it's you you protected your own mate with your life you looked after Tuk and Kiri and thank God you kept an eye on Lo'Ak when or I can't, you're a bit grumpy it's true maybe you love being on your own, but believe me you would give your life for each of the people you care about and with them you change you are a mountain of sugar with them your eyes light up when you look after them to Tuk and when Nete shows you affection, you don't have to be Neytiri, you are you and clearly in everyone's eyes you will be a perfect mother and above all in Neteyam's eyes, he has chosen you as a mate because you are meant to be together and to be also parents together" I snort and go under the water " you know that taking care of isn't for me and yes I can't wait to do it with Nete and I thank you for those words I think they really help me these days, I love you Tsireya " I say with sign language hug her "Ali'iem you will think about it when it happens, continue with your normal life just take that step we all love you and we will be with you forever" we continue to swim and hunt together for a while and then I go back to the my tent with anc now the mind crowded with thoughts.
As I pull my wet hair back I see a red strand in my hair my eyes widen 'will this be a sign of Eywa?' "every day you are more and more beautiful you know that?" I feel Neteyam's delicate hand on my waist while his lips gently rest on my neck and I smile slightly " sorry if I was a bit stubborn and unreasonable with you earlier" I say, turning to look him in the eyes he smiles softly at me " we'll think about it if it happens right?" I smile back, infected by his , before giving me a kiss on the lips "sure" he replies "you know I think Tsireya and Lo'Ak will join for the first time it's a great thing for those two" he chuckles " it's an important step but Lo'Ak is completely crazy about Tsireya I knew he would get there and then she calms him down makes him think a little more and that's good for everyone" he giggles pulling his hair into a ponytail involuntarily showing me his muscles of his back tense, he turns his gaze catching mine passing over him "am I beautiful?" He asks teasing me "beautiful" I say giggling and he approaches me leaving me a few kisses on the corners of my mouth, I put my hands on his chest tracing the darkest signs with my fingers.
It's a moment that Neteyam hugs me more and finally he kisses me on the lips properly and I feel the need to connect with him " Nete..." I call him softly sighing Ali'iem ?" His pupils are wide and he looks at me softly but at the same time a shadow passes through his eyes, I gently stroke his face and I quickly reach his braid stroking it, he smiles and moves it to his shoulder holding it in his hand, I quickly do the same and bring my end closer to his connecting us, a moment of ecstasy that soon leads us to everything else, Neteyam rests his forehead on mine and squeezes my waist gently, I can feel he is holding back a lot he licks his lips, his breath is heavy and then he can't take it anymore and kisses my lips looking into my eyes "Nete let's do it..." I hiss through my teeth looking into his eyes "are you sure? " I nod letting him kiss me passionately, I have no more thoughts if not Neteyam.
He puts me on our 'bed' without ever detaching from me, our tails caress us and it's as if everything came from if we don't think too much concentrated on both our sensations and those of the other, I perceive his ecstasy, his love and his wish .
It doesn't take long that our intimacies are connected giving a feeling and sensations never experienced before, the slow but decisive movements of his pelvis make me feel an intense pressure in my lower abdomen, the deep and hoarse grunts of neteyam do nothing but increase this sensation that makes small noises of pure pleasure come out of my lips.
When his hands squeeze my thighs bringing them higher and resting them on his shoulders making me see the stars with a stronger push than the previous ones, my hands squeeze his back scratching him slightly.
The rhythm of his thrusts doesn't waver and I feel that feeling of pressure inside me about to burst "Nete...I..." I don't have time to say much because that pressure explodes completely making me scream nothing but his name which I he too says my name several times feeling my walls tighten around him, a feeling of burning heat floods me and then moments of silence where only the sound of our breaths makes noise in the air, I see him smiling above me looking at me with slightly tired eyes and a few drops of sweat on his forehead.
From a tender kiss on my leg before letting them both fall snugly around his slim waist, he kisses my lips multiple times before framing my entire face with soft comforting kisses, my legs still shaking.
We don't separate our braids nor our bodies but the guy above me switches positions letting me doze peacefully on his chest, while he watches me rest I hear the rumble of his purr on his chest which also starts mine letting him kiss his chest and her soft lips "hey…Ohe see ngenga and you are the best woman that could happen to me whatever happens I will always be with you" he says moving a strand of hair from my damp forehead, I smile at him tenderly "Ohe see ngenga too, and yes I think you won't get rid of me that easily either.” I rest my chin on his chest as I watch him already fantasizing about something I'll have the pleasure of discovering later.
𓇽༆𓇽
The next morning my legs were screaming in pain but this didn't relieve me of my duties, as always I met Tsireya taking a bath together " Ali'iem you are really slow this morning you won't take anything so" she will try again " Tsireya give me peace my legs they're screaming in pain "she whips her head towards me" you? You? Have you taken the step? You've mated tell me yes please I can't wait to see little puppies of the forest with your big emerald eyes " she takes my hands all too excited " yes yes we did but I don't know yet if I'm pregnant we'll just find out further on " she dives in and caresses my flat belly and I see her gesturing under the water a ' great mother make it a girl ' I giggle seeing her return to the surface " you are impossible you know ? Really embarrassing " she squirts me but whatever happens i can't keep a sincere smile off my face i have no more worries i just want to be with Neteyam forever " anyway me and Lo'ak bonded " i open my mouth in shock as she swims fast away from me“ COME HERE YOU MUST TELL ME EVERYTHING“.

pairings ❰ Neteyam x Sibling!F!Reader, Lo' ak x Sibling!F!Reader (Separated) Spider x Reader (briefly)
You overhear your brother talking hurtful things behind your back. How could he?
GENRE: Angst, comfort after. WARNINGS: none.
NETEYAM.
You, the middle child of the family had always tried to fit in. Never really had a role to take. You were just you. The plain old [Name] with no purpose to being a sully. You were always what they call annoying; A brat who can't behave. Even you really don't know why you act like this-you can't control yourself and just eventually do something. Or you accidentally shout and hurt someone just by it.
"Freak. She does not deserve to be a Sully." What you commonly hear when the Na'vi speak of you.
"That girl is mad. Disrespectful. A dog to her family." And it can even come to this.
You were an outcast to them. To your family, you think. You were nothing but a dog to them. Still, your family loves you. Maybe Especially your sisters, Kiri and Tuktirey. Even if they cannot understand your situation-they're always there for you. Kiri was your adoptive older sister. And you were her first sister. As children, you were both inseparable, like how glue sticks to a paper.
The relationship of you and your edest brother were never really that close. But you admire him a lot. A lot. You admired him more than your father. He was more likely the father of your siblings than your actual one. Jake was always hard on you and even your siblings.
"I will never treat you like a nothing. Promise." A lie.
Scratches, injuries were present to your legs. You were not supposed to go hunting, you disobeyed your father again. All you wanted was just to prove your worth.
Neteyam began to speak to a mutual friend, assuming you were not there to hear his words. But there you were, behind a tree listenig to their conversation as you watch them just finished fishing.
"I don't get [Name] at all! I always try to teach her but she just does not listen. It's getting annoying, truth. She's a brat." Neteyam crossed his arms while sharing something to a friend. And the friend happens to agree. Of course it will. They always do.
"I do not know how she can even be related to you at all."
"Neither do I. She's not a sister of mine."
The words hit you like a punch to the gut, and your eyes welled up with tears. You had always admired your sibling, looking up to them for guidance and support. Hearing them talk about you in such a hurtful manner shattered your heart, leaving you feeling vulnerable and betrayed.
He continued, "She thinks everything is so easy, and she can just coast through life. It's infuriating how she goes about her days, seemingly without a care in the world, while the rest of us are trying to keep it all together." Unable to bear the pain any longer, you accidentally reveal yourself, finally being seen.
Neteyam's eyes widened as he saw you. Knowing that you probably heard all that he said about you. Feeling a mix of sadness and anger, you managed to whisper, "I didn't know you felt this way... I never meant to disappoint you." The voice of yours cracked with emotion as you turned and left the place, needing time to process the hurtful revelation.
"Shit. Wait, [Name]!-] But you already left both of them before he could even say another word. You were also known for being fast, your legs were like the sibling of the winds. Fast.
Oh, great mother. What has he done? Such shitty thing to say.
What you didn't know that Spider was also in the same place as you. Hearing all the words your brother said to you. His plan was to scare you so he followed you. But he didn't know that it would lead to this. Your human friend then followed you.
You didn't know where you were running. But the speed of your legs just kept running. Running to whatever you stop to. Before you could even realize you were completely far away from the village.
A sound coming from a bush entered the core of your ears. But you ignored it. Not wanting to pay attention to anything anymore. 'Neither do I. She's not a sister of mine.' This. This piece of crap. Such words.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you clenched your fists, feeling a knot the my stomach. You wanted to run away, but your feet felt glued to the floor, unable to move. The pain of his words pierced through your soul, leaving me feeling worthless and unloved. You always knew that the people disliked you. But never expected your brother to hate you as well. Thoughts started to circle all over you. Do your sisters find you unlovable as well? Your mother? Overthinking made you hurt more.
"[Name]?" That voice. You recognized it. Suddenly, you felt a gentle touch on your shoulder, and turned to see none other than Spider, the closest friend you had. The only one. He had been your rock through thick and thin, always there to lend a listening ear or a comforting hand. You two shared a lot in common. Being disliked by the people.
"Hey," he said softly, his voice filled with concern, "I heard what happened. Are you okay?" What do you think. You couldn't hold back the tears any longer. They cascaded down your cheeks as you whispered, "I don't know what's wrong with me. Why did he say that?"
"Am I that much of a brat?" You were sitting, and he was standing. Spider pulled you into a warm embrace, letting you cry on his shoulder-accidentally wiping the blue paint off his skin.
"You're not the problem, and you're not alone," he said firmly. "Sometimes people say hurtful things out of frustration or their own issues. But that doesn't define who you are. You're strong, caring, and deserving of love." More tears started to form you. But this time it wasn't tears of that feeling.
As you cried, Spider stayed with you, providing a safe space for your pain. His presence and words brought some comfort to your shattered heart. While the hurtful words from your so called brother lingered, Spider's support reminded you that you had someone who genuinely cared for me. You hope your sisters didn't hate you too.
"Thank you, Spider."
"How stupid can you be?!" Kiri yelled. "Brother...Why would you say that? You know she's sensitive! Norm said she had difficulty expressing herself." Kiri had heard about what he said from Spider, but never told Neteyam it was from him.
"You know how much she looks up to you and cares about your opinion. It's not fair to speak about her like that behind her back." Neteyam's face flushed with embarrassment and guilt. He fumbled for words but remained silent, realizing the gravity of his actions.
"I understand that siblings can have disagreements and conflicts," Kiri continued, her tone softening slightly. "But there are better ways to handle your feelings. You could talk to her directly and try to understand what's going on instead of making hurtful assumptions."
Neteyam looked down, clearly grappling with his emotions. "I didn't mean for her to hear that," he finally mumbled. "I was just frustrated, and it came out."
"I get that," Kiri acknowledged, "but you need to be more mindful of your words. They have consequences, and you hurt her deeply. She's your sister too, and she loves you despite everything. Don't take that for granted."
A mix of guilt and regret washed over Neteyam's face. He knew Kiri was right, and he had to take responsibility for his actions. "You're right," he admitted, his voice filled with remorse. "I messed up, and I need to apologize to her." Kiri nodded, appreciating his honesty. "It's not going to be easy, but you owe it to her and yourself to make things right," she said.
Later that day, Neteyam approached you. "Sister," sister.
"Can we talk?" he asked softly, and you hesitated for a moment before nodding. Sister... the word kept ringing inside that head of yours. "I need to apologize," Neteyam began, his voice genuine and vulnerable. "I said some awful things, and I can't even begin to express how sorry I am. I was frustrated, angry, and I took it out on you. But that was never right, and you didn't deserve any of it."
"I felt so disconnected from you," he continued. "It seemed like we were drifting apart, and I didn't know how to handle it. But I realize now that pushing you away was the worst thing I could have done." Confusion stirred in you. Was he actually sorry? You couldn't help but overthink.
"I'm sorry. You are my sister." Really?
Not even a second-You hugged him. Forgiveness has already been granted. You always thought how warm his hug was.

LO'AK.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the room, you could feel the tension in the air. The gathering at the village had started out joyous, but now it felt heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions. You had noticed your brother, Lo'ak, acting distant and on edge all evening, but you couldn't pinpoint the reason behind it.
"Hey, [Name]! Dance with us!" Your little sister, Tuk tried to pull you from the crowd. Sorry, Tuk.
"Uhm-I think I'm gonna go for a walk first. I'll dance with you later, promise!" Feeling overwhelmed, you decided to step out onto the crowd for a moment of solitude. As you moved away from the chatter inside, you overheard hushed voices and recognized Lo'ak's distinct tone. Curiosity got the better of you, and you couldn't resist eavesdropping on the conversation.
"I don't understand her," Lo'ak's voice carried the weight of frustration. "She's always so needy and emotionally sensitive. It's exhausting to be around her. It's so annoying." He sighed. "She doesn't act like a relative to me, bro." a friend of his nodded.
"Why did I even have a twin." why did he?
Each word hit you like a physical blow, and the tears that had been building up in your eyes finally spilled over. You felt the sting of hurt and betrayal, listening to your own brother talking about you in such a hurtful manner. You had always looked up to your twin and thought he cared for you deeply, but his words shattered that illusion.
Before you could retreat, Lo'ak's voice wavered with realization, "Wait, where did she go? Did she hear me?"
You took a deep breath, trying to compose yourself, but the pain was too raw. Still, you couldn't bear the thought of confronting him, not when he had uttered those words in the heat of the moment. Instead, you quietly slipped away and found a secluded corner on a tree to hide your tears.
It was already dark. You have been gone for almost an hour or two. The people have been worried about you. Where did you go? Were you safe? Tuk couldn't help but ask Neytiri every minute if you've already returned. But you were just nowhere to be seen.
Thankfully, Lo'ak eventually found you. It took him 30 minutes to find you with his Ikran. There you were, hugging your legs under a tree. He almost thought you fell asleep. But you weren't.
He landed his Ikran on the ground. There he stood, his expression pained and regretful. "I-I didn't know you were there," he stammered, his voice thick with emotion. "I didn't mean what I said. I was just frustrated, and I didn't think before I spoke."
Tears welled up in your eyes again, and you looked away, not wanting to show your vulnerability. "It doesn't excuse what you said," you replied, your voice shaky. "You really think I'm that unbearable?"
"No, no, that's not what I meant," Lo'ak pleaded, taking a step closer to you. "I've just been going through a lot lately, and I didn't know how to handle it. I never meant to hurt you." Despite your anger and hurt, you could see the sincerity in his eyes. You knew that he was struggling, but that didn't make his words hurt any less.
"I can't believe you said those things about me," you said, trying to hold back your tears. "I thought we were close." You were his twin.
"We are close," Lo'ak said, his voice cracking. "And that's why it hurts so much to see you upset. I've been a terrible brother, and I'm so sorry."
The pain in his voice tugged at your heart, and you felt conflicted. Part of you wanted to shut him out and protect yourself, but another part wanted to believe that he genuinely regretted his words.
"Please. I know you can't forgive me that easily. But you need to come back with me. They are worried about you."
"Take all the time you need," he said softly. "I'll be here when you're ready to talk, and I'll do whatever it takes to make things right." He took his hand out and placed it in the air. Gesturing it for you to hold on. But as you held his hand-he pulled you into a hug.

He bites
(For the Spider being blessed / raised by animals au. If you don’t know you can check out the other posts…or not up to you ;) )
*the first day the Sully kids really interact with the metkeyina kids*
Ao’nung:What, is the human your pet?
*Spider growling like a Thanator*
Tuk : That’s mean! Spider is our friend!
*Kiri stroking Spider hair to calm him down*
Ao’nung, smug : Looks like a pet to me.
Lo’ak, getting angry : He’s not a pet.
Kiri, sweetly: But don’t look him in the eyes.
Rotxo : What? Why?
Neteyam : Same reason you don’t look an Ikran in the eyes
Kiri, devilish smile: He bites.
Lo’ak grinning: He’s got sharp teeth too.
Ao’nung, condescendingly: I’m not afraid of a human.
Tuk, deadpan voice: Why do you think me and Neteyam only have eight fingers?
Ao’nung:…..
Rotxo:……
Tsireya:……
Neteyam:…..
Lo’ak:……
Kiri:…..
Tuk, happily: Spider let’s go play!
*spider and Tuk leave*
Tsireya : That’s…that’s not true right?
Neteyam:…no…we get that from our mother…
Lo’ak:…. the biting is a problem though.
* later, at bedtime *
Kiri: Did either of you tell Tuk to say that?
Neteyam: What? I thought you did? Lo’ak?
Lo’ak: Nope, wasn’t me.
Tuk, serious: stop talking or I’ll make Spider bite your fingers off for real.
Kiri :…..
Neteyam:……
Lo’ak:…..
*much later that night*
Jake, smiling : Did you teach Tuk to use Spider as a threat?
Neytiri, serious : I thought you did that.
Tuk, frustrated: Go to sleep! Don’t make me wake Spider!
Jake, whispering : she gets that from you.
•••
Okay so by now I’ve established that he’s a feral child😂 but I feel like Kiri would just be absolutely unfazed by it at all.
Like when they first meet she was a little shocked but just accepted it!
Like she’ll do something, he’ll just react and bite and whilest everyone is just shocked she’ll be like yea, he does that sometimes. We’re working through it.
There is also no way she wouldn’t use that as a threat either.😂
