So Luz is going to continue discovering glyph combos, with the help of Lilith, Hunter, and Eda, and eventually she's going to learn one that's essentially a translator tool. Given how there are canonically multiple languages in the Boiling Isles (the everyday speech most chars use, beast speak, whatever lost language Titans used), and just the fact Luz herself knows multiple human languages, I think eventually a communication ability like this will be discovered, where with use of a glyph anything said will be automatically translated and projected in the language the user wants it to be translated into in real time as they speak.
Which means eventually there will be a glyph that will allow everyone to understand Eber completely.
And Eber will gleefully use this power for evil (to embarrass Darius to death).

[image description: It’s twilight in the desert Southwest. A nine-banded Armadillo – lit by the light of an oncoming vehicle – sits up in the roadway and turns toward its doom. Text reads, “189, AYO TOCHTLI, the small god of ROADKILL”]

Hey, kid.  Hey, it’s okay.  Wake up, won’t you?  There ya go.  No, no—don’t look behind you.  There’s nothing there that you want to see.  Just keep looking forward.  Just keep looking at me.  That’s a good kid.  And jeez, you were a kid, weren’t you?  Barely out of the den.  Were you following your Ma?
Ah.  She stopped coming home to feed you, so you went looking.  Well, kid, if she stopped coming home and you didn’t know a good reason, there’s a good chance you’ve found her now.  Sorry it had to be under these circumstances.  Sorry it had to be in my company.
Come on, kid.  Walk with me a little while, and I’ll tell you what you need to know.
First, you’re not hungry anymore.  Didn’t notice that before, did you?  You’re never going to be hungry again.  That’s the good thing about what just happened.  There’s not much I can honestly say is good about this sort of thing, but for a small thing like you, not being hungry is just this side of paradise.  You can still sleep, if you want to.  Most of mine sleep once they get past the shock and dismay and the waiting for everyone else they’ve ever known.  Too many of the folks you knew are gonna wind up here.  Brothers, sisters, parents…the roads are everywhere, and the humans aren’t careful, and I think they just don’t care.
I’m not the only small god of what they call vermin, not by a long shot.  Eda P. Tate takes care of the urban wildlife, and Domesti Kate watches over the feral creatures.  I’m not even the only god of the death of the small and the defenseless.  But I’m the one you got.  And I’m so sorry.  In a kind world, I’d fade away, and you’d still be alive, not walking with a little armadillo into the land of the squished and squashed and thrown aside.  Oh, don’t look at me like that.  You know what happened.  You may not remember yet, but you know, and you will.
Found a nice coyote bitch by the side of the road a few days ago, and she should be—
Whoa, kid!  Don’t growl at me!  Yeah, that’s your mama, but no, I didn’t steal her from you.  A car did that, like they always do, and then I came for what the car couldn’t catch or kill, and brought her here to wait.  You can go to her, if you want.
I have to go pick up a possum.  Be well, kid.
And I’m sorry.

Analyzing Belos’ Eyes On The Owl Lady Suspects
Raine Whispers
Tumblr media
Evidence for Raine being a traitor:
A lot of shots of them looking guilty this episode. Like. A lot
Canonically a good liar, has fooled Eda before
Was the one to suggest that Eda get a sigil
Could be being blackmailed by Terra or Belos
Could be being brainwashed after all
Evidence against Raine being a traitor:
No <3 I simply refuse to believe it
The guilty looks are easily explained as them feeling bad for endangering Eda’s safety
They know the draining spell is going to kill everyone, I doubt they’d be stupid enough to take any offers of keeping Eda safe or whatever from Terra or Belos
Judging by their actions in both this episode and Eda’s Requiem, they put the success of the rebellion above everything, even (reluctantly) Eda’s safety
We as a fandom have been here before. Many fans were suspicious of Raine before Eda’s Requiem aired — it was unfounded then and I bet it’s unfounded now
That might be too many twists for one character’s loyalties. Put some back
Darius
Tumblr media
Evidence for Darius being a traitor:
Was the one featured in the ep where the possibly-foreshadowing “coven heads betray each other all the time” line was said
Knew and clearly admired Hunter’s predecessor — perhaps he thought that predecessor was loyal to the emperor and so…?
Evidence against Darius being a traitor:
I pulled that possible motivation directly out of my ass
Seems more likely that the previous Golden Guard is part of the reason he’s rebelling
We just had the twist of him being a rebel, it would be weird for the next twist to be “LMAO jk no he’s not”
Seems to genuinely care for Hunter and Raine
Eberwolf
Tumblr media
Evidence for Eberwolf being a traitor:
Honestly if there IS a spy I think Eber’s the most likely candidate
We know very little about Eberwolf in general — their motivations are a mystery
While a semi-big deal was made out of Darius being a rebel, Eber has just kinda been in the background. It feels suspicious
Coven Head, so the “coven heads betray each other all the time” would work as foreshadowing
Conspicuously absent from this group shot at the end of OTWAT. Could be an animation mistake, but could also Not be
Tumblr media
Evidence against Eberwolf being a traitor:
maybe switched places with Eda at the end of COTH, bc of the growling?? Not rlly sure what that would imply though
Amber, Derwin, or Katya
Tumblr media
Evidence for one of them being a traitor:
Like with Eber, we know very little about them and their motives
Evidence against one of them being a traitor:
For Katya, when we first met her she was in the conformitorium and seemed pretty passionate about her divergence
Wouldn’t make for a very dramatic reveal
Steve
Tumblr media
Evidence for Steve being a traitor:
Showed up conveniently just as the CATTs were about to put their plan into motion
I could totally see Belos sending one of his friendlier scouts to go infiltrate them
Well-liked enough to emotionally fuck with the audience if true
Evidence against Steve being a traitor:
It would be weird from a writing standpoint to have the person who helped King and King helped in return, a huge turning point in King’s character in general, have been lying the whole time
Look at that face. Does that look like the face of a liar to you?
Adrian Graye (or another illusion witch)
Tumblr media
Evidence for:
We’ve seen a lot of people being illusioned into other people these last few episodes — could be foreshadowing
As @shoulderpats pointed out, Steve’s freckles/moles/acne scars have moved since last episode. Could be an error, but could also Not be an error
Stopping the rebellion would potentially be a good way for Adrian to get some dignity back after getting his ass kicked by a 12 year old who wasn’t even really trying
Evidence against:
Can’t really think of any, feel free to add on if you can
Terra Snapdragon
Tumblr media
Evidence for:
Only speculation, but she could have picked something up from Raine and/or be spying on them
Much as I want to believe they’ve got her 100% fooled, it might not be that easy
Evidence against:
Again, can’t really think of anything
Lilith Clawthorne
Tumblr media
Evidence for Lilith being a traitor:
Could be being manipulated by the emperor again, trying to save Eda and maybe Hooty and her niece and nephew too
Evidence against Lilith being a traitor:
After all the character growth she’s had, it seems unlikely that she’d backslide that hard
Shown in Elsewhere And Elsewhen to be able to recognize signs of manipulation now
Same twist villain twice??
I really don’t think it’s Lilith but I wanted to cover all my bases
Hunter
Tumblr media
Evidence for Hunter being a traitor:
Also could be being manipulated, or the emperor could be able to see what he sees or something since he created him
Evidence against Hunter being a traitor:
After Hollow Mind I really doubt he’s gonna believe Belos again
Belos seemed genuinely surprised when Hunter got the key, so I don’t think he can see through his eyes or anything
I hit the image limit so I’ll reblog with the remaining suspects

Stepping Stones: Chapter 4
The first order of business upon their return to the Owl House is names.
Alador, Perry, Harvey, and Gilbert left to assess the state of their houses, but their children remained, and Vee’s siblings were understandably confused when they race out the door calling her a name they’d never heard. An explanation followed on the concept of roman numerals, and while One, Two, and Three weren’t very taken with them— understandably— Four tried on the name Ivy and decided that she liked it.
One and Three went with homonyms, Wynne and Rhee, respectively; but Two took a while to decide. They went through words for two in Spanish, Italian, French, through all the vaguely plausible names they could think of, before Luz suggested Gemini— meaning “twin”— and it stuck.
With that debate settled, they headed inside, and now Luz and her friends sit at the kitchen table listening to the basilisks exchange stories as Raine cooks dinner under King’s barked orders and Camila, Eda, Lilith, and Hooty sort through the rest of the food. Luz’s chest aches as she watches the faces of Vee’s siblings as Vee talks about Camila, the envy in their eyes rolling a lump into her throat. It isn’t guilt, not anymore— she just wishes she could have opened the portal sooner, could have taken these kids away from Belos years ago and gotten them a home with all the love they could ask for. When the adults come in to eat and Camila catches her eye, Luz realizes she’s thinking the exact same thing.
“As soon as I was returned to normal, I knew I had to go back for O— Wynne and Gemini,” Rhee says, concluding their story of the last few months.
“I had the same idea,” Ivy adds. “We met up halfway to the Conformatorium. We figured we’d get the others and then try to find Vee and then… well, we didn’t really have a plan.”
“We still don’t,” Gemini points out. She glances hopefully at Camila. “Unless… we could stay with you?”
Camila opens her mouth and closes it, and the pain in Luz’s heart expands, because she knows that what she wants to say and what she has to are two different things.
“I’m sorry,” Camila says, shaking her head. “But I just don’t have the means to take care of you all. I could do it for Luz’s friends, for a few months, but I was scraping to get by. I couldn’t give all of you the home you deserve.”
“Well,” Eda says slowly, “maybe I can.”
Vee’s siblings all turn to her.
She gives them a small grin. “The Owl House isn’t usually this full,” she tells them. “With Luz staying in the Human Realm, it’s going to feel pretty empty. I’d be happy to have some company.”
The silence at the table is as loud as a scream before Amity turns to Camila. “You’re not really still holding her to that.”
“Of course not!” Camila cries. “Mija, please—“
“Wait— you’re going to stay in the Human Realm? Forever?” Willow demands. “Is this still about the Collector?”
“Wait, what about the Collector?” Edric asks.
“Luz is the one who introduced Belos to him,” Amity tells him. “She thought he was just a human at the time.”
Luz draws in a breath, now a little desperate to get a word in edgewise, but Hunter cuts her off with a growl.
“How many times do we have to go over this?” he demands. “Belos would have found the Collector even if you didn’t help him, it was his whole mission!”
“And if you hadn’t come here,” Eda adds, “there would have been no one to learn the Titan’s magic and use it to defeat him—“
“I know,” Luz blurts.
For a second, she’s grateful for the silence, and then her heart starts hammering so hard under everyone’s attention she wonders if she’ll be able to say anything at all. She takes several deep breaths— and feels Amity take her hand.
“When King’s dad asked me to take his powers,” Luz says, looking down, “I almost didn’t. I just thought— what if I mess up again? Who am I to have all this power? But then I thought, well, I can’t change the mistake I made. But I can stop it from getting worse. Hiding myself away… it wouldn’t fix anything. I know that now.”
Amity squeezes her hand, and Luz feels another hand on her shoulder. She looks up to find Lilith smiling at her.
“You’re a much wiser witch than I was at your age,” she says. “And do you really think you’re the only one here who has to live with a mistake? I helped Belos meet the Collector too, Luz. Before that, I helped him recruit people to the covens. And before that, I cursed my sister to further my own ambitions. I’ve considered more times than I can count just stepping away before I can do any more damage. But that would just be a waste, wouldn’t it?”
“Isolation is tempting,” Eda agrees, glancing at Raine. “But it isn’t the right answer.”
“I know. I know that now.” Luz takes a deep breath and turns to her mom. “Mamá… is it okay for me to keep coming here?”
“Luz.” Camila reaches across the table and gently takes her hands, waiting for Luz to look at her before she speaks. “If you didn’t come back to visit, I would throw you through that portal myself.”
Luz lets out a watery laugh.
“When I asked you to stay with me… I was so scared, Luz. I had no idea where you were and what you were facing, no idea if you’d ever come home. If you wanted to. But this place isn’t… well, okay, it is as dangerous as I imagined. But you’ve flourished here anyway, and you found a family, and friends. I would never take you from that.”
Luz lets go of her hand to wipe her eyes. “Thanks, Mom.”
Camila sighs. “But, Luz… I still want you with me. I missed you so much while you were away—“
“Me too,” Luz says quickly. “And even though I’ll be visiting the Isles all the time, it’s not the right place for me to stay right now. I still need to finish school. People would wonder if I just disappeared.”
“We-ell,” Vee says slowly.
“I’m not making you pretend to be me again!”
Vee smiles. “Oh, good. I’m not sure I was up for that.”
Camila puts a hand on her shoulder. “You’re welcome to stay with me too, mija. Six kids I don’t have the resources for, but I’d be happy to take you in.” She looks at Hunter. “You too, Hunter. Three will be a stretch, but I’m sure we can make it work.”
Hunter’s eyes light up, but his face is still. “I’d like that to start, but… I don’t really think I’d fit in for very long. I’ve seen Luz’s homework. It’s incomprehensible. Anyone in her school would spot me as a witch a mile away.”
Luz bites her lip and nods.
“It’s not so hard,” Vee assures him. “I spent most of the summer studying it in case I had to go to school as Luz. I could help you out.”
“Thanks, but… now that I have Flapjack’s power, I’d like to try to learn more magic, if I could.” Hunter glances at Darius. “Do you think I could enroll in Hexside without a guardian?”
Eda laughs out loud. “Kid, you have more guardians than you’ll know what to do with.”
A smile spreads over Hunter’s face as he turns to Camila. “Is it okay if I stay with you until then?”
“Of course!” She crosses the table to hug him, and his eyes well with tears. Seeming to sense it, she holds him tighter for a long moment before ruffling his hair and stepping back, turning to look at Vee.
“What about you, Vee?”
“I’d like to stay with you,” she says immediately. Glancing at her siblings, she adds, “I promise I’ll visit you all the time, but I still feel more at home in the Human Realm. Is that okay?”
“Anything is okay,” Wynne promises, wrapping an arm around her. “As long as you’re happy.”
“We’ll need to figure out what to do with putting you through school,” Camila says thoughtfully. “I wouldn’t have time to homeschool, but you’d need at least a birth certificate to enroll in Gravesfield High…”
Eda waves a hand. “Oh, I can easily arrange that. Would you like some adoption papers while I’m at it?”
Vee and Camila look at each other. Camila smiles. Vee bursts into tears.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” Eda says, standing up. “Come on, you two, I’ll need your help to make it look authentic. Wynne, Gemini, Rhee, Ivy— why don’t you four come too? I can give you a tour, and you can pick where you want to sleep.”
Camila and the basilisks follow her out, and Raine, Darius, Lilith, and King start to clean up dinner. Amity tugs on Luz’s hand, and Luz glances at her to find her face serious. “Luz,” she says. “Can we talk?”
A pang of anxiety courses through Luz’s stomach, but she nods. “Of course.”
To her surprise, Willow, Gus, and Hunter all stand as well, and she follows them out of the kitchen, trying to reassure herself with the feeling of Amity’s hand in hers. When they get outside, Amity turns and takes her other hand.
“Luz,” she says, “we’re worried about you.”
“I promise, I’m not going to stay in the Human Realm—“
“It’s not just that,” Willow interrupts. “We were aware when the Collector was puppeting us, you know. He made us say horrible things, and you believed them.”
“You believed I was going to attack you,” Amity says, “more than you believed I would misquote Azura.”
“You would never misquote Azura.”
“Luz!”
“Okay, okay.” Luz smiles, but it fades quickly. “It’s not that I believed any of you would say any of that, not really. It’s just… I believed I deserved to hear it. I did separate you from your families. I did take you out of your lives. I couldn’t save Flapjack, I didn’t know how to save the people you loved, so it made sense to me that you’d be mad about it.”
“Here’s the thing, Luz.” Amity sits down, lowering Luz with her, and the others follow. “Even if you didn’t know how to save anyone, even if we’d never found a way back home— I would still be glad I met you. My life before you was a disaster. I was horrible, to myself and everyone around me. On purpose. If Willow and Gus can forgive me for that, why would we ever be mad at you for things that weren’t even your fault?”
“If you hadn’t come to the Isles, I would never have gotten Amity back as a friend,” Willow confirms. “I probably wouldn’t have gotten out of the Abomination track. I might never have known how strong I could be.”
“And I would have kept helping Belos— on purpose, not by accident,” Hunter says quietly. “Until he drained my magic on the Day of Unity, or until I figured out what he was doing and became just another failed attempt.”
There’s a long silence as Luz chokes back her tears, basking in the warmth in her chest after months of frost, until Gus shrugs and says, “without you, I would never have seen a giraffe.”
The moment breaks as they all laugh, crawling together into one knot, and Luz cries openly, the relief too much for her to hold inside. When they finally pull back, Amity wipes away one tear and kisses away the other, then moves to whisper in Luz’s ear.
“I love you.”
Luz gasps as she pulls back, heat sweeping through her face— and then she throws her arms around her, burying her face in her shoulder.
“I love you, too.”
They stay like that for another long moment before a yell comes from inside. “Luz!” Vee calls. “Come see!”
Amity pulls back, cheeks flushed, grinning at Luz as she pulls her to her feet, and the two of them race back through the door with Willow, Gus, and Hunter close behind to find Vee in the living room waving a pile of papers. Luz scurries over and snatches them from her hands, her eyes zeroing in on two words.
Vee Noceda.
Vee Noceda!
“I have a sister, I have a sister!” she sings, grabbing Vee’s hands and twirling her in a circle as Vee laughs and laughs, tears streaming freely down her face, until Camila swoops in and gathers them both into her arms. “My precious daughters, my wonderful daughters,” she murmurs, kissing both their heads.
Luz looks up from the tangle of their limbs to find Willow nudging a red-faced Amity as Gus laughs; to see the basilisks looking around the room with grins on their faces; to see Eda and her father in close conversation with Hunter, showing him what appears to be a tiny palistrom seed. It’s a perfect picture, and Luz closes her eyes, trying to etch it into her mind. At the beginning of all this, she would have called it her happy ending, but she knows better now.
This is just a very exciting beginning.

Speaking of Hunter, while Belos hisses and growls at everyone else, his reaction to Hunter is far more…withdrawn? Afraid? I mean, we all know why. Poor Belos is whimpering and cowering at the sight of him because all he sees is big bro haunting him.
I just think that it’d be interesting if Belos was more docile around Hunter for this reason. 🤔
Well the answer for that question is...He does both! Since that FeralBelos's mind is completely broken (figuratively and literally) . His reactions to Hunter are around 50/50. Sometimes he is completely docile around Hunter, wanting to be around him and listen to him when he tells him something (which is something he doesn't do with the others). And other times he just wants to find a place to hide because instead of Hunter he sees a glitchy figure of someone familiar and yet not, looking at him with intensity.
The first time it happened was, when they first brought him to the owl house and saw Hunter. It took Eda and Raine five hours to get him out from whatever hole he hide in ( it was also what makes them realize that there was something wrong with Belos...)
So, due to the unstable reactions (and for Hunter's mental state) Hunter doesn't come into the owl house that often. (But they did call him in, when they want him to make Belos stop trying to eat King for the 20th time...)

Writing Request: While Camila, Luz, and Vee are out running errands, Amity, Willow, Gus, and Hunter try to surprise them by cleaning up the house... keyword here being "try".
“Are you sure you know how that thing works?”
Amity brushed Hunter off as she dragged the ‘vacuum’ out of its place in the laundry room. “Of course I’m sure, Luz used it just the other day to clean up Ghost’s shedding all over the blankets.”
“I never knew palisman could shed,” Hunter mumbled.
“Anyway, it’s very simple. You just push this button here…”
Hunter covered his ears, but the vacuum didn’t come to life. Amity stared at it, then shook the vacuum cleaner.
“STOP PREVENTING ME FROM BEING NICE!” she yelled, “I JUST WANT TO MAKE THE HOUSE CLEAN FOR CAMILA AND LUZ!!!”
Willow watched Amity from her perch on the couch. “Didn’t your parents have an abomination butler? Can’t you just make an abomination to clean the house?”
“No! I am going to do it myself! Like a human! Because we are in the human realm, and it is rude and not very good cover to do everything with magic here! And you guys are going to help. Camila, Luz, and Vee will only be out at the grocery store for maybe an hour or two, and I want them to come home to a sparkling house. I can’t do it on my own.”
“I already said we’d help. Gus? Any insight on how to make the vacuum work?”
Gus stroked his chin. “Well, you see, this device appears to have a leash.” He picked up the long string that was attached to the vacuum. “I’ve noted that some human creations have the leashes, which attach to the walls, and others don’t. Presumably, this is not a very well-trained device, as it requires an attachment and a limited range of movement. To activate it, it must first be secured.” Gus dragged the end of the leash to the outlet and jammed the prongs at the end into the holes.
The vacuum immediately roared to life, growling. Amity yelped at the sudden movement, and Hunter yanked her back from the animated creature even as the end of her shirtsleeve started to get sucked in. Willow leapt forward, kicking the vacuum and sending it flying across the room. It whirred and went still.
“Got it!” Willow exclaimed cheerfully.
Hunter let go of Amity. “Sorry. Your hand didn’t get eaten, did it?”
Amity examined the end of her shirtsleeve. “Ah. No damage done.” She crossed the room to the vacuum cleaner, dropping to her knees with a sigh. A spiderweb of white split the plastic in roughly the shape of Willow’s foot. “Can’t say the same for the vacuum, though. The holder bit has a crack in it.”
“Ooooooogh,” Willow hissed, “Sorry. Can you fix it?”
“Maybe?” Amity drew a circle, and abomination matter formed around the outside of the container, sealing it shut. “Gently this time.”
Gus reattached the vacuum to the wall, and this time, it didn’t turn on. Amity pressed the button, and the vacuum whirred to life, making an occasional high pitched whining noise.
“…I think it’s working? We’ll just have to leave the abomination on there forrrrrrr forever! Great! This is fine! We’re off to a great start! Hunter, can you sweep the hallway?”
Gus handed Hunter a broom, and he gave it an experimental twirl. “Hm. Weight on this isn’t great.”
“It’s not a weapon. You sweep with it.”
“I mean, I know it’s not ideal, but it could make a good weapon in a pinch. Not that I’d replace Flapjack.”
Amity groaned, burying her face in her hands.
A gentle hand brushed her shoulder. “Hunter, give me the broom before you hurt someone,” Willow said firmly, “Amity, you can get the vacuuming. Gus, you and Hunter get the breakfast dishes.”
“On it!”
The boys’ footsteps pounded away, and the sink turned on.
“More soap,” Gus ordered, “The sink must be at least half filled with bubbles.”
Amity sighed, looking up at Willow. “How are you so good at that?”
“Good at what?”
“Figuring out who needs to go where and how everyone can help the best. I used to think I was so good at being the leader among my friends, but… I’m starting to think Eda was right, and I’m just a bossy boots.”
“Eh, you’re not so bad.” Willow sat down on the couch. “You’re pretty good at organizing stuff. Looking at schedules and planning out a day is more your forte than mine.” She lightly punched Amity’s shoulder. “It’s just solving the problems where you can, and letting go in places where you can’t.”
Amity nodded, and stood up. “Thanks, Willow. Maybe it’s time I solve the dirt problem, huh?”
She clicked the on button on the vacuum and it rumbled to life again. Amity ran it up and down the carpet, smiling at the way the dirt disappeared where she drove it.
Then the vacuum coughed. The abomination fluid holding it together started to shake and tremble, shrinking towards the area of the crack.
“Uh-oh,” Amity murmured. She drew another circle, re-covering the case, but that started to go, too. “Guuuuuuus?”
He poked his head out of the kitchen. “Oh. Well, it sucks stuff into that chamber, I guess it’s sucking in the abomination goo.”
“Fantastic, how do I stop it?!”
“Simple solution.” Gus unplugged the vacuum, and it powered down. “There you go!”
“But—but what about—” Amity gestured to the floor. “How am I supposed to clean the floor?!”
“Solve what you can!” Willow called from the front hallway.
Amity took a deep breath. “Right. Control what I can. I can… help with the dishes? I can do that.”
The moment she and Gus stepped through the kitchen doorway, Hunter leapt off the counter, hands full of foam, and threw a bunch of bubbles into Gus’s hair.
“Revenge!” he crowed, wiping bubbles out of his own hair, “That’s what happens when you—oh, hiiiiiii Amity. We are also washing the dishes.”
“Clearly. I suppose I really can help here if you two are going to—”
She was interrupted by a fistful of bubbles being shoved on her chin like a beard. Amity sputtered, spitting out soap. “Augustus Porter!” She wiped the bubbles off of her face, shoving them on his forehead. “Oh, you will regret that!”
“Protect the bubble armory!” Gus yelped, trying to slide between her and the sink, “She’s on the warparth!”
Amity lunged over him, scooping up a huge handful with one hand and drawing a circle with the other. An abomination rose up, grabbing Gus as she smeared bubbles across his eyebrows and on his mouth.
“Help!” he sputtered.
“There is no help for you!”
Willow poked her head in the kitchen. “Hey, what’s going—”
Hunter seized her broom, whirling it in his hands and bringing it down in a heavy blow on the abomination, which immediately collapsed. “Run, Gus!”
“Traitor! I thought you were getting revenge on him, too!”
Hunter held his arms out, staying in front of Gus. “You go too far, Amity!”
“Too far? Not far enough!” Amity seized another handful of bubbles, flinging them at him. “Stay out of my way, Hunter!”
Hunter’s eyes widened just seconds before foamy bubbles cascaded down Amity’s head and shoulders. Amity yipped, her shoulders hunching. “Gus!”
“Not Gus!” Willow’s voice boomed from behind her, “Me!”
Amity whirled around. “Willow?!”
Willow grabbed another handful of bubbles. “Stand down, Amity. I don’t want to do this to you.”
Gus and Hunter hunkered down behind the counter, peeking over. Amity glanced at them, then back at Willow. “You’d take their side?”
“End the violence. It doesn’t have to be this way.”
Amity spotted a glimmer of white on top of a cabinet. “Yes, it does.”
“You’re making a mistake.”
“No. You are.”
Ghost pounced from the cabinet onto Willow’s head, and the plant witch stumbled back with a yelp. Amity lunged forward, scooping up a handful of bubbles and flinging them into Willow’s glasses.
“Victory is mine! I am the queen of bubbles, the top student of foam!”
Gus jumped forward. “Nooooooooooooooooooo, Willowwwwwwwwwww! Whyyyyyyy?! Why did we create so many bubbles?!”
“So that you could try to make my hair look like yours via bubble extensions,” Hunter reminded him.
“Oh. Yeah.” Gus leaned on the counter. “Got it out of your system?”
Amity squinted at him. “Try me and find out.”
Gus nodded thoughtfully. “Hunter and I will do the dishes now.”
“Excellent.”
Willow took the broom from Hunter. “How is its weapon rating?”
He waved a hand back and forth. “As far as brooms go, I’ve had worse. It didn’t break!”
Amity surveyed the kitchen. Her failed abomination oozed across the floor, scented like the soap that covered every surface. “I think we made it less clean in here.”
Willow set the broom to the side, picking up a washcloth instead. “You get the abomination, I’ll get the soap?”
Amity gave her a small bow. “Excellent task delegation, Willow.” She bit her lip, glancing over the mess again. “Do you think we’ll get this cleaned up before they get home?”
“Not if we don’t start.”

a post/fic inspired by thundakuma on twt talking about Eda having really shitty exes and some of em trying to enter back into the picture, discussing King´s boundaries, Raine being protective of King, and a personal disturbing real experience i had as a child, hurt and comfort so dont worry at the end.
cw for inappropriate creepy behavior and mentions of implied attempts at child harm/abuse .
Its been at least a year after the events of WAD and everyone is still reconstructing the Isles to their best of their abilities, after a hard day´s work Raine tells Eda they can take King out for a walk so she can properly rest, Luz is dealing with school atm, and King is more than happy to just hang out with his new family member, Raine is attentive and fun to chill with and always gets him a snack even when Eda says no.
So King n Raine are at the park , they are sitting on a bench watching King climb around one tree , when King gets on top , suddenly in front of him a person does a loud noise , scaring him and making him fall off , unharmed but still spooked , alerting Raine
Raine at first thinks its another kid fooling around with King, but taking a good look they see a grown witch standing over where King fell and even reaching down to the kid with their hand , King does not hold the witch´s hand and gets up by himself, the person teasingly laughing. King takes some steps back away from the witch and Raine immediately sees the kid starting to freeze up and fur puffing up, usually King is very rambunctious and short tempered with people even strangers, but Raine notices how strange hes acting and they stand up and walks over there.
When the witch sees Raine approaching the stranger gives them a seemingly friendly smile, waving as in to dissipate the tension, King runs off to grab onto Raine´s legs and shield himself behind them, not saying a word, but the witch makes a statement about how grown up he seems. Raine is just like "excuse me but who are you?" and the witch responds like "oh im a old friend of Eda, the kid knows me, right , King?" and King only hums in response, Raine already has noted all the red flags in this person and in King´s behavior and they would gladly tell em off if it want that they are in a really public space full of other people out and about and dont wanna stress King out more that he is, so Raine tells the witch that they'll get going and to have a good day, holding King´s hand in a reassuring squeeze and taking him home.
On the walk to the Owl House, Raine tries to get King off his somber silence, asking if he really did know that witch, King affirms that yes, that was one of Eda´s old ex boyfriends, and that he, well he was always really weird, even by Boiling Isles standards of weird. King was still really young when those two dated and it wasnt for way too long and he, well , doesnt want to talk much about it now, he just never felt comfortable around him and Eda kicked him out "for a good reason" so it really freaked him out to be approached out of nowhere.
When they get home Raine lets King run off inside to his room, King thanking them for being there for him. Raine stays beside the door for a bit up until they can hear King´s room door shutting. Raine knows they shouldnt force anything out of King, but Hooty may know more- Hooty is just excited to talk about anything, but when Raine starts describing the witch to the house demon, Raine has to step back a bit at seeing Hooty growling and feathers puffing up in anger at the mention and description of the guy
Raine tries holding him back from shouting and trashing around ,
- "oooh that good for nothing- that man is FORBIDDEN around this house, if he thinks he can walk in and just-! im turning him into a pellet ! wait until i tell Eda about this!"
Raine tells em that it might not be the best idea for him to tell Eda and that theyll sort it out themself, reassuring everyone is safe and that no ex is coming around the house or King for the matter. Petting the house demon´s head to calm em down like one does a horse.
After a bit of time passes and the day ends without much stress, Raine musters up courage to talk to Eda as they are both settling down to sleep in the nest, gently inquiring , not for nosiness sake, but out of concern because something happened that day that worried Raine.
When Eda is informed of the situation, she puffs out a few cursed feathers and tries breathing in slowly, cursing under breath and shaking off her hand, Raine pulling her closer, reassuring that whatever happened in the past, they are not there to judge, just to help in the present.
Eda sighs tiredly, telling em that the guy was just one of her many bad choices and that she deeply regrets letting the guy in her house and that she would never have done so, much less considering how eager he was, and its why she preferred leaving him with Morton before Luz came around.
She says she found him very charming and affectionate at first, very touchy feely, did not mind a few feathers here and there, but it slowly turned into inappropriate clinginess and out of line comments even when King was right in front of them, at first she thought itll be ok if she just took him out the room more often, but then it turned into telling King jokes about things we were going to do , and she told him, - "the kid doesnt get it and also cut it out", but it seemed to just escalate.
The breaking point was when King told her that one time when he was alone in his room, this man sat down next to him and asked what he was playing with, King explained one of his demon king related plans, all seemed ok until he stretched out his arm pointing at something and the man grabbed his arm , squeezing it and holding his paw telling him "oh your fur is much softer than it looks!" and King tried laughing but nothing would came out, that he just felt really Bad and just tried slipping out the situation, when Eda was told this she had enough.
Eda can handle anyone coming onto her but its other thing to mess around with King when they think shes not watching, she remembers getting into a huge fight and threatening that if he tries getting in here again shes turning him into a frog and cooking him into her dinner. At the end of her tale Raine caresses Eda´s hand, with a hiss on their voice they tell Eda had they known abt this before they would have gladly turned him into a frog right then and there in front of everyone, Eda snorting and getting em to smile, but Raine means it.
Eda doesnt have to be alone dealing with everything anymore, so Raine promises to keep King safe as much as they wanna keep Luz and Eda and anyone else safe, next time they see that man, he´s dinner. And so the owlfam sleeps a bit less heavy that night.

Hunter looking at an unresponsive Luz with tears in his eyes, her hand limp in his:[whispering to Philip; bitterly but firmly]You killed her.
Philip:It was my duty. Horrible as it was, I hope you'll forgive me.
[Hunter continues to weep bitterly, tears of a grimwalker falling on Luz's face. Unaware of the healing magic they have]
Philip:There, there, Caleb. I know it hurts. But now the time has come to end your suffering...[raises a dagger above Hunter, mirroring what he did to Caleb]
Philip:Forever.
Hunter can sense something wrong. His grimwalker eyes turn red. He sees Philip's shadow, how he's rasing the knife. His growl is more beast than witch now.
Philip: [as Hunter towers over him after he throws Philip to the floor and steals his dagger. Throws it so hard its stuck deep into the wall of the owl house. Red feathers are sprouting over his form. His hands have become talon like. He's wild and angry] Now, now... L-Listen to me, Caleb!
Hunter: [wailing accusingly] No, *you* listen! All my life, you have told me that the boiling isles, is a dark, cruel place. Filled with horrible wild witches that want to hurt everyone. But now I see that the only thing dark and cruel about it is people like you...!
Luz: [awakening, weak, she's badly hurt] Hunter?
Hunter has wings sprouting from his back now, his cardinal form is like Eda's harpy owl form: [skipping over to her and scooping her up, he nuzzles against her cheek, tears in his eyes] Luz!
Philip horrified: She lives.[he draws his sword] Evelyn lives!
Hunter cradles Luz protectively: *No*!!!
Hunter flies, bright blood red wings gliding away from Philip's knife swing. Luz in his arms. Safe and alive.

i was on youtube and came across the clip of hunter’s ‘research notes on flapjack’ and remembered that he comments that when he asked eber darius and raine about flapjacks, he says eberwolf hissed/growled at him ‘as per usual,’ then that darius ignored him, ‘again, as per usual,’ and i’m thinking about how like. if darius came across it post dou it might be the thing that pushes him over the line of not addressing his emotions.
Yeah, how Darius and Eberwolf treated Hunter pre ASiAS are not their shining moments, for sure. I don't think they were ever actively mean to Hunter before Darius lashed out at the beginning of ASiAS, but still. There are several explanations for their behavior: Hunter is too loyal so they can't trust him, Hunter doesn't think for himself, he might ruin everything if he finds out, they don't want to fight this teenager if he gets in their way so they need to keep their distance. Maybe they are frustrated because they don't know how to save this kid from himself when he's so loyal. Maybe they both knew Hunter's predecessor and resented this kid being in the Golden Guard spot. Who knows, really.
Either way, it doesn't excuse their behavior. It's only an explanation. (And, really, Raine knew something was up and looked the other way. Eda was there when Amity restrained Hunter and let it happen. Hunter has beefed with everyone in his current found family at this point, but Darius and Eberwolf aren't the only ones who treated Hunter differently for that devotion to Belos, that's for sure)
Darius probably told Eberwolf everything that happened at the end ASiAS and that probably caused Eberwolf to soften towards Hunter, as well.
The moment Darius saw signs that Hunter can think for himself, he instantly softened towards Hunter, so I think Eberwolf would too.
It's heavily implied Darius and Hunter spent time together post-ASiAS with the sowing, at least. So Eberwolf was probably there at times as well.
Then, Hollow Mind, it's aftermath, and the incident at Hexside changes EVERYTHING.
I don't think Hexside reached out to The CATTs, I think The CATTs reached out to Hexside when they heard about happened.
Oh, how the tides turned.
Whatever time these three spent together after Darius and Hunter worked things out probably deepened their bond immensely. Again, since Eberwolf and Darius are kind of a package deal, Eberwolf was probably there at times too.
Eberwolf was probably in on the plan to keep Hunter away from the Titan's head, since Raine's students knew about it.
This is why I love the dynamic canon is building slowly but surely between Darius and Hunter. The idea of those two plus Eberwolf getting to see each other for who they are really are, and gradually becoming found family because of it? Letting go of the ideals the Emperor's coven taught them, and realizing how well they click? Chef's kiss.
But, I can totally see Darius and Eberwolf finding that journal one day after Hunter vanishes and they can't find him. And just breaking down because how could they have ever treated him that way? They are not the same people as the ones he described in his research notes, but it is something they did. If they haven't apologized to Hunter yet, then they will.
Which is why I hope we get to see Darius's reaction to the Grimwalker reveal, at least. (Well, if he doesn't already know, I think it is a 50-50 possibility at least). But, I think their reactions to it, when they first find out, are going to be: Horror. Disgust. RAGE. Kill mode towards Belos, activated.
So, yeah, this is just me, reading between the lines of what we have been told/seen, and also kinda adding some of my headcanons too it.
(Disclaimer, please don't come onto this post and start discussing how Eberwolf and Darius are horrible, or anything, that's not what I am here for. Thanks!)

I started to write a Darius fic, the premise is he's looking back at his life on the day he dies, questioning the massive changes to his norm but also reminiscing about how grateful he is for those changes. I wrote out this segment and I really liked it, so I'm just going to post it on its own. I'd love any feedback, for when I edit it for the full fic :)
--()--
But, out of all of the difficult days, the hardest to get through was the day Eber passed. Darius hadn’t felt this sort of ache since ‘He’ died.
As much as he always knew Eber's lifespan wasn't as long as his own, it never dawned on him until the day it happened. Eber was always so joyful and energetic. Even as his fur began to gray and they spent more time curled up by the fireplace rather than running through fields till dusk, Eber never lost his signature snark and 'pup-ish' yips.
The day Eberwolf died was hard for everyone, Darius remembered the scene so vividly. He had woken up like any other morning, (affectionately) threw a pillow at Alador, and headed downstairs to begin to cook.
That day he and Alador had plans to have brunch with The Clawthornes and the other members of the former CATS Rebellion, nearly 30 years ago.
'My, where did the time go?'
Darius had come down to the parlor and was met with Eberwolf sprawled out on their personal tiny couch, flopped over, twitching and whimpering. For once he wished he couldn't understand Eber.
In seconds Darius had scooped him up and teleported the two to a Healer, as Eber was being checked out he messaged the group chat he'd have to miss brunch. They were all so understanding… Titan, he couldn't have been more grateful. How did he get so lucky?
After an hour of waiting The Healer called him in.
And in just a few words… the world shattered.
The Healer found that Eber had less than 24 hours left to live, he was in so much pain it wasn't safe for them to move around on his own. Other than being given painkillers there wasn't anything that could be done to save them.
When the two arrived back at the manor, they were met with EVERYONE waiting in the parlor. Pillows and blankets littered the floor and these wonderful witches sat entangled in the cozy bundle.
They cleared a path toward the couch, where Emira, Edric, and Amity sat forefront, they gave a remorseful smile to their Father, beside the couch stood Alador, his lowlife of a husband. That hack had told everyone.. and…
They had scraped Brunch to be with Eber.
Hunter sat on the couch, he silently patted the seat beside him.
Titan, his kids grew up so well, he was so proud.
Darius sat down, careful to not hurt Eber. Hunter snuggled close to his dad, reaching over to also stroke Eber's fur. Eber sniffed, recognizing his Nephew's scent, they cracked their eyes open, looking back and forth from Darius to Hunter. Eber made a chirping noise, muttering a loving statement to their family.
Darius inhaled deeply, a few snotty tears welled up, he held his little brother close, continuing to pet him. The rest of the family inched closer. Alador placed a hand on Darius' shoulder lightly squeezing.
Alador looked across the room to Raine and Eda, tilting his head forward. The two returned his nod and began to fill the room with a soft hymn, a familiar tune they'd grown accustomed to singing during The Collector's ‘playdate’ .
Soon all who sat in the room hummed their hymn, holding one another's hands. Darius looked up at the slew of people he loved, silently thanking every one of them, then he brought his attention back to Eber, once again meekly chirping.
"Scared?"
Was all he said.
Biting his lip and holding back his pain he brought Eber to his chest, whispering that it was going to be okay and that he was safe. Eber mustered out a growl.
"No. Darius. You, scared."
Darius didn't know how to reply. After a moment, he quickly shook his head, he'd be fine.
He'd be fine.
He'd be fine.
He wasn't going to be fine.
And Eber could tell, using the strength he had left in his little body, he clawed his way up Darius's chest to lick his nose.
"Strong boy. Good boy. Good family."
He chirped out as he brought himself back to snuggle up on his chest.
Soon the painkillers kicked in, and Eber drifted off to sleep, cooing out the hymn in tune with the family.
Now and then, Eber would stir, ears perking up whenever the family repeated the hymn. They stayed together for the next hour, hands held, humming their song, all the way up to the moment Eber's chest stopped rising.
A hush fell over the room, Hunter and Darius trailed their fingers to find Eber's pulse.
Nothing.
Darius lifted their tiny body as he sobbed into his arm. He carefully cradled Eber into one last hug.
His little brother was gone.

Random angst idea. Willow gets cursed, say by Boscha, Kiki, or someone who has a ‘reason’ to hate her. How will Skara support her?
Well this one’s gonna hurt a lot.
The thing about TOH curses is that they aren’t just a minor thing; the three cursed characters we know of, Eda, Lilith, and Belos, have had their curses haunt them for life. So it’s doubtful Willow would just get over it in a 22 minute adventure. More likely, in fact, is that it would stick around for life, be something she’d have to learn to deal with like Eda. Which would lead to more then a few parallels…
Who would curse Willow is a good
question. I don’t actually see Boscha as being the curse type, more a ‘beat you up with her bare hands’ type, and there’s no one else in the show really I feel would want to hurt Willow specifically like that. So instead, I feel that the best bet would be some sort of rival Derby team cursing her, either before a big game or after a big win. And since we don’t know many curses aside from Eda’s and Belos’s, I’ll default to the Owl Beast curse for simplicity’s sake.
I can picture it like this; The Entrails win a game and celebrate at a little restaurant in Bonesburough. Skara got the winning point, and everyone’s congratulating her for it, especially Willow, who’s teasing Skara with kisses on her cheek and leaning casually against her, causing Skara to go deep red. The group splits up afterwords, everyone heading home for the night, save for Skara, who walks Willow to her parents apartment. They hold hands and kiss and sing, all the sort of mushy couple stuff you see before things go horribly horribly wrong.
Which they do. As the two girls walk through a spot near the Night Market after dark, Willow notes a couple shadows stalking them, a couple bushes rustling. She tries to warn Skara, but the Bard barely notices, too busy singing Willow’s praises until she feels something knock her to the ground; a hooded Witch on a staff. She feels the wind get knocked out of her lungs as she scrambles to get up, but she’s dizzy and disoriented. As she does, she see’s three other hooded Witches pop out, aiming for Skara. Willow throws herself in front of her, launching a massive vine attack to knock them all away. Skara tries to thank her, but not before spotting one last hooded figure behind Willow, sneaking up from behind, scroll in hand, and an a burning in their eyes. Before Willow can spin around, the assailant unsheathes the scroll, and a big red flash, and suddenly Willow’s on the floor, eyes closed. As Skara gets to her feet, the assailants run off, and no matter how much Skara wants to go after each of them for revenge, she knows there’s really only one person she needs to see: Willow. Stumbling towards her, Skara tries to get Willow to wake up, shaking her shoulders, hoping to Titan that she wakes up, and also thinking to herself that she’ll tear the Titan limb from limb herself if Willow doesn’t-
Willow opens her eyes, but they’re starless sky black. She starts to growl, and her body sprouts feathers. She lashes out at Skara, who barely dodges the claws. She stares down as Willow lunges, now full beast-mode! Skara is able to find safety and use Pensta to contact the rest of the Entrails, begging them for help. Eventually they’re able to arrive, and all of them are mortified to see Willow cursed. Viney is able to calm her down as Hunter uses a potion from Eda, all as both Skara and Gus just don’t know what they can do.
An hour later they’re all at The Owl House, Skara holding the shivering and shocked Willow in the tightest hug she can. Eda confirms it’s the same curse as hers, and Skara begs for her to fix it, or heal Willow, or something. But Eda can’t really do that. All she can do is offer some spare elixir and help Willow through it. But Skara can’t accept that. She thinks there has to be some way of curing Willow, and she vows not to rest until she does.
Soon Willow is able to walk and control her pain with elixir’s that Eda gives her, but things are still down hill for Willow: her magic is weaker, she has to drop out of the Entrails as captain because of fatigue, and soon she doesn’t even leave her room for fear of hurting people. Skara, for her part, has kept to her word, searching tirelessly for a cure, but nothing seems to work. Nothing Viney or Cat suggest, nothing she sees on Pensta. She even gets desperate enough to trust for anyone to help cure Willow, but Eda stops her before she goes to any scammers. Skara insists on continuing to search but Eda insists that all this hunt for a cure will do is hurt Skara and Willow’s relationship like it hurt Eda and her mothers, that what Willow needs is her girlfriend there with her instead of searching for a pipe dream. Skara tries to walk away from Eda, but the Owl Lady refuses to let Skara fall down the same path Gwendolyn did. Finally, Skara snaps and tells her that it’s her Willow doesn’t want to see her, that she’s locked herself away in her room and Skara’s scared she’ll never be able to see the Plant Witch smile again unless she’s cured.
Recognizing the same mistakes she made when she was cursed in Willow, Eda flies Skara to Willow’s balcony, where Willow’s built her own little nest out of blankets and old plants. She’s surprised to see the two, and insists that they leave, but Skara just runs up to hug her, begging Willow to let her help. Even if she can’t find a cure, she wants to be there for Willow, and she’s more afraid of losing Willow then being hurt by her. Eda agree’s telling Willow how her own relationships ended because she refused to be open with people and accept them for the curse. She doesn’t want Willow suffering the same fate.
With that, Willow cautiously hugs Skara back, apologizing for withdrawing from the world and promising that she’ll leave her room the next day. Skara, to hold Willow to that, slips into her nest and refuses to leave until the next day. When Willow points out it can’t be comfortable for Skara, she says she’s ok with that as long as Willow is ok. Sure enough, the nest is terrible for Skara, but waking up next to Willow, reassuring her that she didn’t hurt Skara in the night, was worth it.
The next few years are fairly uneventful with the curse: Willow regularly takes Elixir, having only a handful of Owl Beast breakouts a year, and with Eda’s help, still being in enough control that she doesn’t hurt anyone. She’s able to return to the Entrails as the teams coach, giving the team leadership spot to Gus. A few years later, Willow is even able to control her curse enough to make her own Harpy form (which Skara finds… super cool and neat).
Skara, meanwhile, while not spending every waking moment and Snail searching for a cure, does still try to find creative ways of helping Willow through her tough times: She finds a song that can calm the Owl Beasts nerves when it gets restless, she stays with Willow on the days it’s too hard to leave her room, and though it’s still very uncomfortable, Skara is always down to cuddle in Willow’s nest, if only to help her girlfriend feel less alone in her curse.

thinking abt how to get gil and harvey in the old hexsquad shenanigans without uprooting them or putting them conveniently into a dangerous situation but im afraid they’re just gonna have to be put into a dangerous situation
was trying to find info about st epiderm and saw a crew-story about sword magic
maybe it could be one of the many adventures outside of bonesborough?
they all go up the knee for Odalia’s birthday party and naturally, she and alador are fighting. They’ve been fighting the whole way there and it’s making everyone miserable and awkward. most of them didn’t even wanna come but got dragged up by Darius who didnt wanna be alone with them and the other populars (he got a taste of non-toxic friendships and now he’s having a tough time).
Odalia’s is being a jerk so she practically forces everyone who weren’t specifically her friends to sleep in the same room. which… tbh would be kinda fair if it’s something she needed to book in advance. buut she didn’t and it’s her family’s vacation home with a bajillion rooms. enough for everyone and their guardians to have their own room.
so Lily, Eda, and Raine are basically roomies. which is still fine for them since the room itself is huge anyway, and the bed is so big it could fit five.
Eda wants to go have an adventure. since Raine used to live up there, they offer to give the squad a rundown of all the local lore. They didn’t really think anyone would wanna act on it since the magic up on the knee is so much more potent and the beasts are more dangerous. so they tell them about the secret stacks of St. Ep’s library and how it’s said that in there holds secrets of magic that are so ancient and so dangerous that not even the bravest of wild witches dare try.
so obviously, Eda wants to learn it.
Lilith tries to talk her out of it but is p much ignored after Raine says they have a man in the inside who would sneak his bf in all the time.
Man of course is Gilbert, who coincidentally is accompanied with Harvey who claims they’re just friends who sometimes hold hands and cuddle.
This’ll be before Eda and Raine start dating too.
Raine is all “really dude”
and Eda replies with “hey, we do that all the time and we’re best friends too!”
Darius does a check in with Raine to check if they’re good. Eda has no idea why they’re taking so long to follow, so she checks back, and sees them laughing with each other. basically she thinks she’s about to lose her best friend.
some time after finding the secret stacks entrance and entering it, the squad accidentally unleash an eldritch horror onto the school and have to slay it before anybody catches them.
cue barging into Gil’s room for that classic “walking in on an almost kiss” scene
Eda goes “woah what’re you doing?” “dude obviously they were about to ki—”
and then Harvey yells “KICKBOX”. pause for effect. then he gets kicked by Gilbert, who is done with the games, and asks what they’re doing in his room. Cue the low guttural growl of the monster.
After running a lot, the squad makes it outside, but Raine gets cornered by the monster. This triggers the owl beast, which turns out is now bigger than the monster. by a lot.
It eats the monster.
but now Raine is confronted with the Owl Beast. Lilith is trying to stop everyone from hurting Eda, but all anyone sees is the beast. Lilith is crying and apologizing to Eda.
but Raine isn’t all that scared. They know Eda and they know she wouldn’t hurt them if she knew what was going on. She was just afraid. using bard magic, they place a calming effect on her and talk her back down. Eda is exhausted to say the least.
In the end, Harvey apologizes to Gil and says that he was just afraid of them not being friends anymore if they start dating. Gil disuades those fears by saying that the reason he likes him so much is because they’re such good friends. and that as long as they communicate, they’ll always be friends first. they agree to go slow. Gilbert tells Raine that they’re welcome anytime but to maybe keep it chill next time.
while everyone is walking back, Eda stops Raine to talk to them. she thanks them for not attacking her or letting people attack her, to which they reply that she should thank Lily for the latter. as for the former, they could never be scared of her. because they’ve seen what a huge dork she is.
Eda still looks down in the dumps though, prompting Raine to ask what’s up. like. Is it the part where she almost attacked them because they can hold her off on their own too. then Eda tells them that she saw how close they and Darius have been getting. and they and Lilith, and Alador, and that she’s just afraid that they’re seeing she’s not all that cool of a person to hang out with.
Raine throws a snowball at her and tells her to stop talking about their best friend like that. They didn’t have many friends at St. Eps. Even Gilbert was a lot more social and didn’t actually hang out with them all that much. Not that they minded. but Eda was the first person ever that they felt really connected with. “you’re special to me, okay? nobody else comes close.”
they give her a kiss on the cheek and tell her to hurry up because everyone else is probably back at Odalia’s family manor already.
When they turn around to catch up to everyone, they don’t see Eda blushing all “oh no I have a crush”.

I was going to make a comic, but unfortunately, I don’t have time. So instead, you're getting this. Please note that I am not a professional writer.
Context: Here. Camlia: Here. The rest of the gang: Here.
Alright, let's go!
___________________________________
Luz opened her eyes to see the trees, the orangey-red of the Boiling Isles. "We did it, we're back!" Luz was beaming before realizing "Guys?." She was alone, and Luz started to panic. "Willow, Gus, Hunter, William, Amity, Mom?" As she started listing off their names calling for them, each sounded more panicked and desperate.
That's when she heard a familiar hissing from her side. Luz let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "Hey Hammy, I'm glad to see you here." She petted the funky spider to help calm her down. "We should go find the others," she said, still quite shaken from being separated from her family and friends.
She started to walk down the beaten path she landed on, keeping an eye in case of something appearing out of nowhere when. "Is that Bruce's staff!?" Luz shocked to find that staff here of all places. What would Hunter's uncles staff be doing here of all places.
Luz ran over to pick the bat shaped staff off the ground, when she heard a familiar voice, a way too familiar voice. "Belos" Luz growled. Now it all made sense, Bruce and Belos must have been fighting. Hamilton let out a squeak, ready to go.
"No, Hamilton, you have to stay here, Belos might hurt you, like he'd hurt Flapjack." Hamilton made big puppy eyes at Luz. "That’s not going to work, Hammy. Don't worry, I'll be fine."
Luz made her way deeper into the bushes in front of her. In the clearing, although dark, she could see a human-shaped figure searching for something, mumbling to themselves. 'So Belos already found a palisman to snack on.' she thought to herself.
With Belos's back turned, she strikes.
Thwack!
With a groan, the figure fell. Luz is standing above him with the bat shaped staff. "And stay down," Luz growled. She heard a chuckle behind her. "Hello, Luz"
"You!"
Bam!
"Uhhrg." She fell to the ground, looking up to see the glowing eyes of Belos. "I really should thank you, Luz. You made my job so much easier. "
Wham!
How could she be so stupid? She confused Bruce for Belos. Luz felt herself fading with one thought one her mind 'I'm sorry Eda, King, Everyone'.
Back in the bushes, Hamilton watched the green goopy moster drag away Luz and a figure he didn't recognize. He had to find the others to help save Luz.

So before the new episode gets released, I'm releasing my fanfic.
I know there are a lot of theories about Luz getting possessed, but I like the idea of Amity getting possessed. So, I made two fanfics about this, but I'm only publishing the one and I'll release the other one some time next week.
And I'm hoping no one gets possessed, but I'm not a writer on the show so I'll just see where it goes. Enjoy!
Possession
Amity slowly wakes up. Her vision is a little fuzzy, but she can make out her girlfriend, and it looks like she's struggling against something.
She looks and sees a dark figure toying with her girlfriend.
The memories come rushing back to Amity. She remembers the Collector saying something about a body, Luz saying that it'll never happen, then a fight ensued where Amity got knocked out.
"Kid!"
Eda grabs Amity and trys to drag her away from Luz.
"Eda! What?! Let me go!" Amity growls at her.
"No way. Luz wants me to keep you safe and right now, you're not safe!"
Amity scowls and still struggles against Eda. She looks towards Luz and hears something about possessing. She puts to pieces together and knows that she has to save her girlfriend.
"Sorry Eda, but I have to do this!" Amity says.
"Wait, what are-OW!" Eda cries as Amity bites down on her arm and also kicks Eda in the leg.
Eda drops her and she rushes towards her girlfriend.
Luz is panicking. She wants to protect her friends, but she didn't think that she is going to get possessed.
The Collector starts to move forward towards her and Luz closes her eyes.
"I'm sorry everyone," Luz thinks to herself, "but I need to keep you all safe."
Her eyes are closed, but she notices that something is in front of her.
"Well, this is an interesting twist," the Collector says. "Okay, you'll do instead."
"Instead?" Luz thinks. She opens her eyes to see Amity standing there.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?" Luz yells.
Amity turns to Luz. "I made you a promise Luz. I'm not going to let you get hurt, and that includes this."
She creates an abomination and it grabs hold of Luz.
"Luz," Amity voice breaks, "I know you'll find a way to save me, but to save me, you need to be safe."
"Amity, you can't do this!" Luz cries.
"Ugh this is taking too long," the Collector chimes in.
"Abomination, take her to safety."
The abomination starts to move, but Luz tries to squirm out of its grip.
Amity creates a spell circle, but it's for the abomination to grip Luz harder.
Amity looks to her and tears are flowing down her face. "I love you Luz."
Luz gasps. That is the first time she ever said that to her. "AMITY! NO!"
The Collector turns Amity around and devilishly smiles. The two of them are engulfed in a bright light and disappear from the area.
The abomination turns to goo since Amity is no longer controlling it. Luz runs towards the spot Amity was at. She collapses to her knees at the spot. The gang rushes towards Luz, but keep their distance. They didn't notice that Amity left Ghost behind. The palisman sprints towards Luz and paws at the ground where Amity once stood.
Luz feels her hot tears streaming down her face. She opens her eyes and sees that her girlfriend's pendant fell off and is laying on the ground in front of her. She reaches down to grab it. She runs her thumb over it, while Ghost rubs against Luz's hand. She gives him a smile and scratches behind his ears. Ghost sadly purrs and climbs onto her shoulder.
Luz looks down at the pendant and she gets a determined look on her face.
"I promise I will save you, mi amor. No matter what."

But the fusion doesn’t listen and only growls at them as it turn to Lilith and put his sword in the air ready to use ghastly sword and tearing her apart
*Lilith shields her face as she prepares for the impact, but Eda uses the last of her magic to get you away from her, and the curse begins to take over.*
Eda: Alright, guys. Listen to me. I'm going away, and I don't know if I can bounce back this time. Watch over the kids. Remember to feed Hooty. And thank you, everyone. For being in my life.

I've seen you wanted ask about ships so here are some for the Owl house fandom:
Raineda, veemasha and aladarius.
Please do any or all of these and don't hesitate to send me ships of all kinds: crackships, rare pairs, canon....etc
Anyway, take your time, I hope you'll have fun!
I AM SO FUCKING LATE IN ANSWERING THIS JUST KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU FOR ASKING I JUS FORGOR
Annnnyyyyywaaaayyyyy
Veemasha/veesha
Tumblr media
I'm starting with the one that makes me less insane 💘💗💝💝💖💘💖💕💖
I'm pretty neutral towards them, canon didn't have much time to explore them (screaming and growling and kicking disney execs) and I haven't really found that niche of fandom that can make me really obsess over them </3 But they are incredibly cute!!!!!
I almost forgot to put the t4t THE BEST PART
Then ALADARIUS
Tumblr media
I LOVE THEM. I LOVE THEM I WANT TO BITE A WALL. FRIENDS TO ALMOST LOVERS TO ENEMIES TO MARRIAGE DJGKDOFKDKFKSKDSKDKSKDKDK
They are so messy. They have so many kids together. They haven't spoken to each other in 30 years. They were each other's high school crush. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?????
I soooooooooo want to know what went down between them like what happened??? Did Odalia break their relationship???? Was she jealous??
💫Old Man Yaoi💫
Raeda/Raineda.
Tumblr media
Let's take a second to scream everybody.
Done?
Alright.
WHERE DO I BEGIN.
We were going feral over them SINCE before the introduction of Rain. It was so fucking funny bc Dana teased saying "they're a special witch from eda's past!" And everyone jokingly started saying they were exes yk??? Like you do in every fandom you don't actually believe it but ur gonna make memes abt it
AND THEN THEY WERE CANONICALLY EXES RKVKDKCODLXLSDOAKFJD THE SCREAM THAT WAS SCRUMPT ON THAT DAY.
The hand holds the carrying each other the blushes the teasing DANA. DANA STOP I'M GONNA DIE. DANA!
These 40/50 year old bisexuals are really gonna be the death of meeeeeeeeee
I just like when ships have a lot of history!!! It creates a lot of drama and some cool conflicts that you don't get from cute young ships like lumity (that I still adore)!!!!
The part of a bigger polycule is bc I think all of the adults in the show should date each other but this is not the time to explain my supreme alador/darius/raine/eda/camila ship bc your feeble minds could not bear such genius
