Alright, maybe not everyone but there are more on the list than not. If Felix was an NPC in an RPG, then his affection meter towards anyone he meets beyond childhood begins at -50 points. No exceptions. (at least this is what he wants people to believe)

Normally if someone spends enough time with him they can earn his good graces, you know? At the very least get him on neutral ground, it's only natural after all that time investment

This applies to most cases with Felix

"Most" being a key word here

There are three special cases: the Prince of Fargeus, his loyal pet, and one other emotionally constipated hindrance

Deep down Felix knew that he truly did not detest the first two. The situation involving them was more complicated than his mind could handle during his youth, so until he aged and saw proof of Dimitri's willpower his feelings remained sour. Throughout it all he still had a definite idea of how to view them both and could predict their moves like a book.

The third? Not so much. It seemed like the more time Felix spent observing them, the more he grew unsettled. Nothing they did let any insight to their own emotions or thoughts. All he could learn through the grape vine were blatant facts: their birthday, hometown, etc. Nothing personal. Everything felt…fake? Staged? As if their personality was being written up off the top of someone's head in a book.

Felix couldn't trust them, no matter how much the professor, Sylvain, or anyone else tried to convince him. Rather than antagonize them like he did with Dimitri, Felix chose to flat out ignore their presence.

"My name is Felix, and if you're wise then you won't ever need to use it"- he spoke upon meeting, and that was it.

What he found the most odd was that they simply ignored his hostility. Not in a way to challenge him, or in disinterest, but with acceptance. Any attempt on being friends was made by others on their behalf.

They weren't pushy, he'd give them that. He didn't feel guilty since they clearly had no interest in him either.

Until one late evening a few dawns after Edelgard's betrayal, he had found flowers on every grave within the monestary. It was a chance sight since he'd accidentally spend too long in the sauna, but walking through the Cemetery showed even the most ancient stones with offerings. With dates older than any person in the castle, they likely hadn't been visited in years.

And at the end of it all sat his one-sided enemy. The supposedly empty shell laid a bouquet on another grave and for the first time he saw them cry.

"I didn't know you had the ability to cry," He approached them cautiously and against his better judgement. He instantly regretted too.

"I didn’t know you had the ability to care," they said back, much more brash than he'd ever heard before

Felix said nothing else in response…what do you say to someone after openly despising them for months on end? Did he even want to apologize?

"I don't, but you look more suspicious than usual" he gestured to the graves surrounding them

"It's unlikely they'll be getting any visitors anytime soon…they deserve at least one last honoring,"

That night was when Felix first felt their personality, and it was scarily similar to his own

Perhaps he would have noticed it sooner if he'd tried

Perhaps the similarity is why he never did. One of him was enough

Or…was it? The drop in his chest as they began to become acquainted implied that he may have been missing out on something he'd hadn't planned to ever find

My Analysis of the Best Paired Endings in 3H (Part 2: Dimitri/Byleth)

Despite the popularity of some of Dimitri's M/M ships, he seemed to be a typical heterosexual man to me. However, his straightness was actually part of what made his character so interesting, ironically. He spent his youth absorbed in masculine activities like hunting, training, and practicing with the sword.

He was willing to TRY and take Sylvain's advice to pick up girls. But he was very inexperienced with women. Chivalry definitely promotes homoromantic social bonding among men. And perhaps because of that very male-dominated culture he grew up in, he deeply yearned for a relationship with a woman.

The tagline for the game was, "Sweet memories twisted by time's cruel hand". Dimitri's feelings for his stepsister may have been only puppy love, but it was his first time emotionally connecting with a girl. It was one of his sweetest memories. That was why Edelgard's betrayal hurt him so deeply. The emotional core of AM is Byleth taking the spot in Dimitri's heart that Edelgard once held.

The developers did not want to write an entirely different script just to accommodate male Byleth. So, they just took out the Goddess Tower scene, S-Support, and paired ending. The loss of which are a huge detriment to the integrity of the story. Dimileth is just as "canon" as its counterpart Edeleth. I don't even think AM's story or Dimitri's redemption make sense unless there was a romantic connection between those two. Dimitri's Goddess Tower event even foreshadows that specific scene, proving that the moment Byleth reached out her hand was written with romantic undertones.

Byleth being female is an integral part of the story of AM. If Byleth represented the divine masculine in CF, then it follows that she represented the divine feminine in AM. She was a vessel for the soul of the goddess, but more importantly she was a human who could directly intervene in the world and support people with her own flesh and blood.

Dimileth is often criticized for being a simple "fixing the bad boy" straight girl fantasy. But it's less cliche than people give it credit for. Byleth and Dimitri are an interesting blend of masculine and feminine qualities. Byleth is a silent protagonist, but I could tell that Dimitri enjoyed her dry sarcastic sense of humor. She was not a typical healer or pegasus knight like most FE love interests, but a deadly mercenary. She was meant to be similar to Glenn, which is why Felix sees her as his rival.

She serves the role of being Dimitri's sword and shield and stood at his side and protected him during the final battle, filling the knightly role Glenn would have if he had survived (and the role Felix serves in Hopes). She was the Seiros to his Wilhelm. Dimitri is one of the very few male characters that Byleth will give her mother's ring to when she proposes. Yes, it is a woman's ring that Dimitri wears. In fact, Dimitri's whole character arc is about rediscovering and embracing the softer feminine qualities he had as a young boy.

The Professor taught Dimitri how to live. In AG, Dimitri told Shez that from the moment he was born, he never felt like his life belonged to himself. He overworked himself because it was the only way he knew how to live. After Duscur he lost everyone, including his best friend, and his life belonged to their ghosts. The only time he could imagine being happy was upon his death, having devoted his life to forming a peaceful kingdom full of joyful citizens. He yearned for someone to stand by his side and give him a reason to live for himself.

I've seen many people online criticize Dimileth because they say Dimitri already had plenty of people that he was close to in his life and his non-Byleth relationships should have played the biggest role in his redemption. But I disagree. The story made it quite clear that Dimitri's support system was totally inadequate for his emotional needs and could not have pulled him from the abyss.

He was not actually all that close to his childhood friends, even before the Tragedy of Duscur, and he did not confide in them about what he was feeling. He said Rodrigue was the only person outside the castle he was close to. Rodrigue obviously cared for him, but he had not seen Dimitri in two years prior to the academy. Dimitri and Dedue shared a very powerful bond. Losing Dedue was the cause of Dimitri’s initial descent into savagery. But Dedue still insisted on being his vassal instead of his friend and equal.

Felix was obligated to fill the role due to his bloodline, but he did not WANT to be the person Dimitri unburdened his heart to. He was constantly irritable and losing his patience in Azure Gleam. Glenn was one of the ghosts who shadowed Dimitri's every move. And Felix said that since Glenn's death, "his memory has followed me around like a shadow." He hated acting as his brother's replacement. In their AG A-Support, it seemed like he was pretending to like the idea of being the right-hand man because of how dependent Dimitri was on him. We see a direct parallel of that scene in AM where Dimitri is hallucinating in the chapel. While Felix certainly felt compassion for him, he was very eager to foist the role of confidant onto Byleth.

Without anyone to lean on, Dimitri acts pretty monstrous. For five years, he tortured and killed people brutally, as if they were not even human. He threatened to kill Randolph's friends and remove his eyeballs before killing him and we can probably assume that he actually did that sort of thing to his other victims. I related so well with Felix because I felt the exact same mix of disgust and pity towards him.

I didn't ship Dimileth because I self-inserted onto Byleth and I wanted to marry him. I just wanted Byleth to accept him. And I don't find it difficult to believe that she would. Because before she was the stand-in for the goddess, she was the Ashen Demon who cut people down with no emotion. She only began to smile when she started teaching his class. He offered his shoulder to lean on when she lost Jeralt, something the other two house leaders didn't do.

The main ideological conflict between Edelgard and Dimitri was how much they are willing to compromise and accept the unacceptable. Dimitri seemed to understand that Edelgard had legitimate issues with the Church of Seiros as well as the existing world order. But he thought that total destruction of that system would require too much sacrifice. It was an interesting moral quandary.

And honestly, there was no easy answer. In an ideal world, there would be no false religion and no such thing as nobility, period. Even most of the nobles in the cast would have been happier to just be regular people. AM certainly doesn't end in a utopia or anything (although it's less status quo than AG). It was about the characters compromising and making concessions with an inherently unjust system because perhaps taking innocent human life is wrong even if it's for a just cause.

The Crest of Blaiddyd is associated with Strength. The Strength Tarot card is the Major Arcana of inner strength. It represents mastering raw emotions in order to bring calm to yourself or a situation. Dimitri was born on the winter solstice making him a Sagittarius, which is a masculine fire sign symbolized by a centaur. The horse portion of the Sagittarius symbol is unruly, relentless, beastly, and strong. The human portion is wisdom-seeking and rational. Dimitri's character arc was about overcoming his anger and hatred and becoming the wise "Savior King" who could reach out his hand to his mortal enemy.

Byleth & Dimitri The marriage of the newly appointed Archbishop, Byleth, and Dimitri, who officially ascended to the throne of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, further delighted the people amidst the celebrations of the end of the war. Continuously seeking a better future for Fódlan, they pursued their ideals, gradually reforming the traditional political systems and the structure of the Church. They upheld their roles as leaders of the Church and the state, engaging in intense debates at times. However, when they went on long rides or hunting trips alone together, they wore not the faces of the Archbishop and the King, but those of an ordinary, loving couple.

JRPGs are known for "killing god". AM ends not with you destroying the church but becoming its leader. The people of Fódlan paid lip service to the goddess, but they actually revered Nemesis and the 10 Elites. So much so that Rhea had no choice but to refer to them as heroes and Crests as gifts from the goddess. Fódlan is a patriarchal land. Faerghus especially so.

With Fódlan unified under Faerghus, Byleth acts as the divine feminine force who will change that society from the inside out, just as she did her husband. Is rulership by a benevolent monarch and a matriarchal pope a good enough ending? Well, that's for the player to decide. But I found it to be the best ending, both for Fódlan and for Dimitri and Byleth themselves.

Okay just...imagine Felix comforting us after we wake up from nightmares of Oliver trying to harm us or the unborn baby.

Also, when our nightmares get really severe, I can see us getting so scared that we vomit when we wake up so we have to sleep with a bucket next to our bed.

Nightmares:

He knows we usually toss and turn because we can't get comfy but it usually helps if he wraps his big arms and holds onto us. But tonight, our nightmares are too much so we've separated sometime in the night and he can feel us moving around in the big bed.

He startles when he realizes we're crying... in our sleep. He sits up immediately, reaching for his bedside light. He calms down a bit when he realizes we're still asleep, going to shake us awake.

He sighs, rubbing his face. "Baby, baby, you're okay. Baby honey you're at home." We startle awake despite how gentle he tried to be and immediately a big sob bubbles up our throat. "Fe!" We yell, holding on tight to his strong arms. "I know baby, I know. You're at home okay? You're in bed, I got you, you're safe." He lets us cry into his tank top for a bit letting our emotions roll around in our head for a bit. "B-b-but, h-h-he came onto the balcony!" We scoot closer against Felix's warm skin as we glance at his dark balcony. "Sweetie, I locked it, I promise. No one's getting in here. Duncan would never let it happen, and neither would I."

"I-I'm scared." You hiccup as you finally try to get your breath back. "I know baby, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry he scares you. But I promise. He's locked up in an insane asylum far from here. He's never getting out."

"P-promise?" He nods, giving you a kiss on your sweaty forehead. "If I have anything to do with it, he'll rot in a padded cell. Here, let's get you some cold water baby." He rolls out of bed and goes to fill our water bottle in the adjoining bathroom.

We're still shaky when he comes back with it filled to the brim. He sighs, a sad storm filling his eyes. "Baby, it's okay. You're breaking my heart lovie." He crawls into bed and lays on his belly, laying his head gently on our belly. "I'm sorry." You say as you run your hand through Felix's soft bedhead. It helps both you and him calm down. He turns his head. "No baby, don't you dare apologize. You should never have to apologize for something he's caused you to go through. I will take care of you and the bub no matter what you need you hear me? And you can always wake me up if you need me. I'll stay up with you too if you just want some company. Understand?" You nod, eyes filling with tears again. Not from fear this time. This time because you're filled with love for your boy. "T-thank you." You say as your bottom lip quivers.

Felix smiles as he pecks your shaky lip. "I love you baby, I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere okay?" You nod. "Can you drink some water please?" He asks, nodding to your now full water bottle. You grab it off the night table and take a sip.

Felix lays back down and runs his fingertips up and down your arm, attempting to calm you. "C'mon baby, you're safe let's go back to bed." You look over at the lamp that's still on. "C-can we keep the light on, please?" Felix chuckles. "Would that help you sleep lovie?" You nod. "Then yeah, whatever you want. I'll even go out and buy some cool moon lights and some nightlights if that'll help." You nod. "I love you so much." You say as you blubber, curling up into Felix's side, your head laying on his arm.

"I love you too baby, I'll forever keep you safe. Close your eyes, I'll keep watch." He jokes." You wrap one arm around Felix's waist and squeeze making it impossible for him to get up once you finally fall back asleep.

Thinking about Fe and Bri and romance

I choose to believe Bri definitely dated people before and had even more unrequited crushes (her past sketchbooks are filled with them). So when she develops one on Felix, Alya assumes it's a short-term thing and she'll move on soon as usual (she doesn't).

She imagines some kind of ideal romance, but it never matches her expectations. So she keeps looking and looking. I think despite her friendliness, she still feels kinda lonely.

Felix, on the other hand, is a complete opposite. He is not interested in romance, stays away from relationship drama and is content with being alone. I see him as being ace and somewhere on aro spectrum (yes I'm projecting shhh). When he decides to woo Ladybug, he has no idea what he's doing. He's just following what books taught him about romance. He tries flowers, romantic candlelit dinners, catching Ladybug in his arms - nothing works.

And then he starts actually developing romantic feelings for her, and now he's even more lost because he never felt this before. (Plus he's convinced at this point that she probably won't ever like him back)

Also I find the idea of Felix, who's usually seen as more experienced/mature, to be the one without romantic experience kinda cute

Good morning, sweetie. [You can hear the shuffling of sheets as Jisung rolls over in bed. His voice is husky from just waking up.] I've just woken up; it's uh — [A pause.] Jesus, it's seven in the morning.

[His sweet laugh fills your ears, and he sucks in a tired breath.] Last night was our first concert in the U.S. It was amazing; I wish you could have been there. STAY was absolutely … they just blew my mind. They practically sang all of Star Lost for us and — [He chuckles again.] Of course, I think Red Lights was a big hit. I know you would have loved to see it.

[In the few moments of silence, you can tell Jisung is trying to figure out what to say to you. He writes lyrics like a god, but sometimes, when it comes to you, he's just absolutely speechless. He wants to make the most of his few minutes of free time with you—even if he isn't with you. He wants you to wake up to the sweetest words he can muster, because you've always known what to say to him to make him feel loved and to calm his anxiety. He just wants to return the love.]

Ah, I hope you have a good day when you wake up. How was the meeting with your VPs? I hope—no, I know it must have gone well for you. I'm always proud of you, you know? [In the background, you can start to hear the other person he's sharing a room with, stir. You can even make out the sound of Chan going around outside in the hallway to wake everyone up.]

[Jisung's voice lowers slightly so he doesn't disturb his roommate.] I'm sharing a room with Yongbokkie and I think he's gonna wake up soon. [He snickers.] We played rock paper scissors last night to determine roommates, and I think Changbin hyung got stuck with Seungminnie again. But I think they were both too tired to annoy each other. They have to share a bed in their room, I think. Me and Yongbok get the twin beds. 

[The door to the room breathes open. "Good morning, Sungie. Can you wake Fe—oh, sorry. Are you on the phone?" There's a slight shuffle noise and you assume Jisung's nodded and shown Chan his phone screen and your caller ID on voicemail. When a moment passes and you hear the door gently close, you know that Chan's understood.]

That was Channie hyung. He says good morning, too. [Jisung rolls over again.] Sweetie … I know we probably won't see each other for a while, and I can't be there and you can't be here, but I miss you. A lot. I miss you a lot. Sometimes it's hard getting over that pre-performance anxiety, and I don't know how to calm myself like you can. 

You always tell me that I look good onstage. I feel like I do it all for you. I try to imagine you out there with STAY, both of you cheering me and everyone else on. I just want to make you and them proud. 

[He sighs.] The timer is running low, and I think I have to wake Felix up soon. We're going sightseeing today, and we'll probably get some practice in, too. Call — call me … please. Whenever you wake up and get this. 

[You can hear the disappointment in his voice. He wishes he can stay here in bed and await your response. But he puts on a happier tone to finish off the voicemail.] I'll send you pictures !! You can count on that, sweetie. Hope you have the best day, and … I love youuu~ [Jisung makes a kiss sound adorably loud into the microphone. He pauses—hesitates—then hangs up.]

Before Marc could write, before he was confident with his voice

He signed

His dad was told that he was selectively mute

He didn't like talking much, but his hands moved with such speed

They learned BSL together, cuz in my head he's a transfer kid from Britain

I also really like the idea that when he lived in the Uk, he ended up running I to this pompous lil brat named Felix and they fought at first before ending up as besties

And when Marc goes to Paris, he's all nervous, he knows French, his dad is half english half french, but it's a brand new school

And unfortunately he only knows Brotish Signing Language, not LSF

So when his tongue gets heavy and he's trying to sign instead, no one gets what he's saying

So he gets a notebook and writes in poor french, he's still getting spellings down

And he'll be on video call with his English bestie and be like "omfggggg. One of these folks are civilized enough to know how to speak with their hands" and his words are half english half french with some Chinese swears tossed in and his hands are moving fast and Felix is just listening when the news comes on

"Marc what's that"

"Hm? Oh that's ladybug, the French superhero"

"That's a teenager"

"Yup, and she has an obvious celebrity crush on your cousin."

"Who doesnt?"

And yes I imagine if they're bestie enough, and Marc is observant enough, which he would be as a writer, that when Felix learns he's a senti, Marc finds out too
