It's a little funny, Once(?) I drew Agari's nose wrong, and GORDON DIDN'T TELL ME. Because they felt it would be awkward :3 And then they also drew Flower's nose wrong 😭😭 (Made it straight, how? I have no clue /lh), and I still haven't told them, but this shall be a test to see if they actually read my big paragraphs... Hahaha..... (evil)

A visit to see Roka! The Doman arrives with a bunch of wild flowers to braid into her tail after brushing it.
Asylum was doing the small Keeper well, even if she’d only been there a couple of days. Still perfumed with floral soaps from a fresh bath, dampness clinging to fur, she had been settled upstairs in the library, tucked away in the little loft with a small mountain of pillows. She wore a pink kimono, little white flowers sprinkled generously over the sleeves and hem, a bare foot peeking from beneath. Despite the location, it wasn’t hard to find her. While she worked on grooming, she was humming. The song one she had started to sing in the Doman’s presence once before but never finished.
When Eiri cleared his throat, speaking her name from the top of the little staircase, the humming stopped in favour of happy chirps in greeting and a wide, eager smile of welcome. She patted the pillows that were scattered about her, inviting him to sit with her. As soon as he had she rumbled a squeaky purr, draping herself over his leg and into his lap, wiggling herself so that her tail curled in perfect range of petting. Few words were actually spoken. Soft greetings, each making sure the other was being well cared for, each expressing relief that they were. All the while fingers stroked her hair, petting the little catte gently. When words ran out, Eiri lingered, taking up the brush from where she had left it and pulling long strokes of the bristles over her fur.
The silence was comfortable, broken only when Roka chose to quietly sing for him.

She sang it through a few times, filling the silence simply out of want to do something he might enjoy, not worry that he might be uncomfortable. All the while he brushed and braided, little flowers adorning her fluff, and by the time he finished she looked like spring. She might not be able to see his lovely work, but she -felt- pretty for it, and it was rewarded with jubilant trills, and her demanding Zeph come see. And then? Then she asked to be taken for a walk. The entire time, being carried about the Asylum’s district in Shirogane, the little notqo’te making a point to keep her decorated tail on constant display. She heard footsteps? Oh, look, her tail swept out to sway gloriously and draw the eye. People talking while they passed? It wasn’t accidental at all that her tail was shoved in their faces when Zeph carried her past. She was making sure anyone and everyone could see Eiri’s work, and though she normally shied from attention, she basked in it for the moment.
She refused to be taken back to Asylum until she was barely able to stay awake, insisting they take just oooooone more lap around the ward. More times than Zeph would like to count. Once settled back in her room, another thank you was crooned to Eiri over the pearl, and promises coaxed that he would visit again soon. With all said and done, the small floof curled herself up, hugging her very pretty flower-tail, and settled for a few bells of sleep.

● The title Wall of Sushi is a pun on the mosh pit's 'Wall of Death' — "When the crowd splits into halves which then run at each other during a music drop or prompt from the artist. The aim is to slam into each other but to keep elbows down and not punch each other." via.
● ウォール, 魚, wow: these all include the syllable ‘wo’, a phonic akin to the celebratory cheer “woah!”
魚[fish] is normally read sakana, but the on-yomi is ‘uo’.
●Insider argot: The specific argot here is an outdated one, which revolves around the swapping of a word’s syllables to create a code word! It was originally used by insiders, entertainers or such people in the public eye who needed to avoid being followed to places, like sushi bars. Though the argot proceeded to then evolve into a trendy lingo, used during Japan’s 80s economy boom when a majority of people had enough money to splurge on high-class sushi and dance clubs often.
On that note, please try and figure out what the lyrics in this verse are saying~! Swap the syllables!
○ ネタ(neta): common chef lingo for ‘sushi topping’. It’s a shortened version of the original term ‘sushi-dane’ Turned into → ‘dane’ then into→ ‘tane’ (dane w/o the sonant dakuten), then finally into → ‘neta’ (tane’s syllables swapped). The syllable swapping spoonerism even in the origin may have been hat inspired Seki to use the 80’s argot/lingo in..!
○ ’Neta’ has even evolved to take a place in modern day speech as well! The origin is the same, but the use is different. ‘Neta’ is used as a slang equivalent to mean ‘lore’ or ‘memes’ etc. In the same way sushi/food has toppings/ingredients stuffed in, does content have lore...
Puns:
○ "おどり[Odori]" normally = dance.
"おどり[Odori]" in the realm of sushi = nickname for the shrimp roll. This is because the shrimp look like they’re dancing.
○"アガる(agaru)", and its conjugations is slang for “pump up!”, used for concerts, clubs, etc.
“あがり(agari)” is shortened term for あがり花(agari-hana), a fancy name for fresh tea used at restaurants or sushi bars . (Literally ‘Freshly brewed up flowers).
○"That’s purple haze！！Burnt soy sauce plz!!" ... Sekihan is matching ENG terms and JP terms which sound similar again! The same way "tea" has a special name, does soy sauce at sushi shops have one as well. It's “むらさき(Murasaki)", lit. "purple".
There’s many theories as to why it’s called “Purple”, from maybe the usage of different purple-colored beans to make it, to maybe color-blindness, to maybe because purple was on the top of Twelve Level Cap and Rank System and soy sauce used to be expensive…. Alas it remains a mystery.
○ 幸暴(kouboku) is a made-up word lit. meaning happiness and craze. They seemingly molded it specifically to harmonize with 寿(kotobuki), the more happy go lucky words the merrier.

Interviewer, Tanaka Dai “The fusion of concerts and sushi in wosushi, is this turn of events also a product of your principles?”
Sekihan “That’s exactly right. Dominating our opponents with our concerts is high on our to-do list, and to that end we’ve gotta make songs which dominate the concert hall too! So we’ve gotta do ‘Wall of Death’s or ‘Circle Mosh’s. But we ended up discussing how scary for people it would be if we abruptly started doing moshes at this point, so we should stick to more pop-esque things... We didn’t give up though, we got the idea to put them together. 'What are two different that work well when slammed together…. Hmm… Rice and toppings. So sushi eh? A circle mosh is like a sushi wheel!’"
Interviewer "There are a lot of similarities between the phenomenons of sushi and concerts."
Sekihan "There really is! For example The lyric 'That's purple haze!! Burnt soy sauce pls’ is a tip to Jimmy Hendrix’s song ‘Purple Haze’ and the connection there is that soy sauce is sometimes called ‘Murasaki(purple)’ here."
Interviewer "Good thinking!"
Sekihan "Thank you. I don’t think it resonated with anybody though (laugh)".
Ponikingdom “The thing we ponder the most when writing is the jokes."
Mito-juu “What is the joke all about?”, is a key factor in our thought process.
mao “We try to tuck away hidden easter eggs inside the jokes as well.”
Sekihan “Early on we were doing this excessively to the point nobody got our jokes though (laughs). But now we’ve figured out the proper dose of joke. Leading to our new song ~Super Spa~.
Interviewer "You portray that the cleansing of the soul can be done at concerts and in the bath both."
Sekihan “Yes. We say it direct and outright. We intend to make songs with good balance like this going forwards as well.
Interviewer “'Ebi-Swinger’ has become a staple at your concerts, and that song is well-constructed too. It feels like it’s an attempt at rectifying the misinterpretations towards Nagoya, but at the same time, exemplifying the misinterpretations…."
Sekihan “You gotta be kidding me! That ain’t how it was supposed be? (laugh)
Mito-juu “We can’t necessarily deny that viewpoint."
Sekihan “Ebi-Swinger stemmed from the idea 'I want to make a song that gets everyone swinging their towels around’, but then the conversation turned to “Does anyone even enjoy swinging a towel around?’ ’No’ ’Then what should we swing.’ ’Swing… Swinging… Meat wings… Shrimp fried? Let’s make shrimp fly!’, thus it evolved into a song about Nagoya's famous fried shrimp. I was born in Mie prefecture (Which is directly South of Nagoya), and I even spent 7 years living in Nagoya when I was younger, so I stuffed the lyrics with my knowledge from then."
Ponikingdom “The song’s concept was 'Everyone is strapped in to prejudice so much that they’re blind to see true colors, aren’t they?” but… It wasn’t clear enough (laughs)".
Interviewer “(Laughs). Shrimp is a celebratory party food as well, so it matches up with the happy go lucky concept quite nicely."
Sekihan “Yes. The concept of ‘Happy go lucky celebration’ runs deep in the veins of the Japanese and, I hope it spreads to other countries as well."

Summary: A little story about the first time Agari and Hideyori met.

“Man, I can’t figure out how this thing is supposed to go. Do you know?” Hideyori asked in frustration, looking at Agari with a helpless expression. She sighed heavily, rolling her eyes as she took the broken toy away from him.
“I’ve been telling you that you have to put the leg in like this.” She tried to twist it in, but it wasn’t working. Hideyori merely smirked at her.
“See! It’s not that easy!” He exclaimed, taking it back from her.
“Well, you have to put a little pressure on it! Besides, this wouldn’t have happened if you just left it the hell alone.”
“I was bored.”
“So, you played with a toy meant for three year olds?” She questioned in amusement, eyebrow raised. Hideyori looked up, face blank for a moment before he scowled looking back at the toy with a slight blush on his cheeks.
“Shut up and help me fix this.” He muttered. Agari sighed, rolling her eyes.
How the hell did I end up with a friend this stupid and stubborn?
She questioned in annoyance to herself as she thought back to how it all started….

It was before Agari had decided to grow her hair out, so her hair was still fairly short, the golden curls of her hair coming down just a little past her jawline, almost curling in towards her chin if it wasn’t for the wild curls that would never obey and sit right.
Agari was four years old at the time, and it was the first time since she could remember visiting Owari, where Lord Nobunaga had been living. Though, she knew that she had been there before, she just couldn't remember those other times before this one. She wore her favorite pink kimono with the little white and green patterned flowers. Her obi was a bright green color.
“Hold on tight, ok?” Her mother told her with a little smile. Agari nodded, looking over at her brother, Shouta, who was riding his own horse next to their father, Ieyasu. He was twelve years odl, and considered old enough to start riding his own horse. He rode with his head held high, a proud grin on his face. Agari looked at him for just a moment longer before looking up ahead as they came to a stop up at a gate.
“Welcome Lord Ieyasu and Lady Tokugawa.” The man who had greeted them was, of course, unfamiliar to Agari. He was short, but had a friendly smile and a stock of light brown hair, and a friendly grin on his face.
“Ah, so the Little Monkey came out to greet us. How nice.” Ieyasu smiled his usual fake smile, even tilting his head slightly, but Agari and her family knew better than to trust the surface feature.
Agari knew that tone so well of her father's so well. One that was supposed to show a type of friendliness, but really held a hint of malice under it. She glanced at her father, and sure enough, his usual smile was on his face. She could feel some sort of tension between the two, which made her quickly look away as he mother firmly held her, and jumped off the horse they were riding, quickly handing the reigns over to the unfamiliar man. She looked at the man as her mother sat her down on the ground. He gave her a friendly smile, one that seemed much more geniunie than the one he had given to her father, before leading both of the horses away.

Agari was put into a room that had a few other children in it. She looked around silently with a slight scowl on her face. Why did she have to be stuck in this room? She didn't even know anyone.
“Don’t cause too much trouble.” Was all her father said before walking off. Lady Tokugawa merely looked over her shoulder, smiling in exasperation before looking at her two children.
“Have fun, and behave. We’ll be back soon.” She said softly, kissing both of their heads before turning, closing the door behind her.
“Don't go too far from my eyesight, ok?" Her brother said, ruffling Agari's hair, which irritated her as she smacked his hands away.
"Don't! I just got it right!" She whined, making him laugh slightly, shaking his head as he dropped his hands, and immediately walked to the other side of the room, sitting on the floor as he grabbed a book that was perched high on the shelf." Stupid Big Brother. Messing my hair up." She muttered, smoothing out her hair just right before dropping her hands, and looking around the room.
There was very few kids in there around her age. There were two girls playing a game between them, and a boy with wavy light brown hair. Sighing, as she found nothing interesting about the children, sat down on the floor, pulling her knees up with a sullen expression on her face until she remembered the doll in the sacheal by her side. Smiling widely, Agari pulled it out, and the brush that was given to her for her doll, and began brushing out the long, black hair of the doll.
"Hey." Agari looked up to see the boy with light brown hair staring at her with a smile. She was silent as she stared at him with a blank expression." You're apossed to say hey back." He said with a grin, obviously teasing her. Agari's face turned a shade of pink as she scowled, and looked down at the doll. She still said nothing to the boy. He pursed his lips slightly as she looked back at the doll, going back to brushing through the doll's hair. "Which lord's kid are you?" He questioned, still refusing to give up on talking with the girl.
"Everyone knows it's not polite to pry into other's business without first saying who you are." Shouta replied cooly, surprising both of the children. Agari glanced up at him through her eyelashes, pausing in the brushing of the doll's hair, before looking back at the doll, and resuming the doll's grooming. This had nothing to do with her in her mind. At least not at that moment.
"I'm Toyotomi Hideyori." The boy finally introduced himself, looking up at the older kid, before looking at Agari with his hand outstretched towards her. It didn't escape the child's attention that he said his name slowly, a bit unsuredly, and even sounded like he ended his name with a question rather than a statement. Shouta sat next to his sister, keeping an eye trained on the boy.
"Are you sure about that?" She teased, glancing up at the boy, who once again pursed his lips at her, and tilted his head slightly.
"What cha mean?" He questioned. Agari paused for a moment, sighed, and then shook her head.
"Nevermind. I'm Tokugawa Agari." She took the boys hand, and quickly shook it before dropping her hands. She then looked around the room.
"Shouta. Her brother." The older boy explained in a bored tone, flipping through the pages of the book he had apprently taken with him.
"Are these kids of other lord's ?" Agari questioned, looking back at the boy as he sat next to her.
"Yeah. Those two girls over there are Fumiko and Saki. They're Lord Mitsunari's girls." He said simply, smiling. Agari looked at the girls, and then at her brother, who was watching her and the boy closely through the corner of his eyes.
"I didn't ask for their names." She said simply, looking back at the doll. The boy, Hideyori, tilted his head slightly, lips pursed before grinning once again.
"Wanna play?" He questioned, switching his position to where he was directly in front of her, a huge grin across his face.
"Ummm... Sure?" SHe questioned a bit unsureidly, looking down at the doll with a unsure expression before looking back at the boy. He simply grinned.
"I don't mind playing with a doll." He said simply, holding out his hand. Agari reluctantly handed over her precious doll, still feeling unsure.

....
"I wonder how those two are fairing." Lady Tokugawa questioned, glancing over at her husband as they walked down the hall, ready to retrieve their children.
"I'm sure they're fine. They couldn't have caused too much trouble in an hour." He replied. Lady Tokugawa wasn't so sure as her husband, and it seemed that her worries were a bit founded when Shouta was standing in the hall, looking a bit tense.
"... What happened?" Ieyasu questioned in a flat tone, worried about why Shouta was outside,and not watching his younger sister."Where's Agari?" He questioned, causing Shouta to look at him with a little grin, laughing nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Funny story." He said, and went on to say what had happened...

...
The doll playing had gone well. At first, anyways. Within fifteen minutes, Hideyori was quickly bored, but he was still holding the doll that he was playing with, since Agari weirdly left him with the doll while she went to fetch a ball.
Agari failed to realize that Hideyori was a boy, and boys tend to play roughly. Or perhaps it was just her inexperience with other children that caused the fight that happened when she turned around to see the boy pausing the dolls face into the ground.
Agari stood, frozen, her mouth slightly agap in shock before she quickly scowled, walking up to the boy, leaving just a foot of space between them, she held the ball over her head, and threw it with all her strength towards the back of the boy's head. Agari wasn't strong, so it wouldn't cause harm to the boy, but it was enough force that his face went forward. Unbalanced, he fell forward. Agari picked up her doll, scowling at the boy as she smoothed the hair down.
"Stupid boy." She muttered, scowling.
It was at this point, Shouta had picked up the ball, keeping it in his firm grasps away from where the girl could possibly hope to get it. He wasn't going to be responsible for any harm she does because of her famous temper tantrums.
"That hurt!" The boy lied, standing up, rubbing the back of his head as he scowled at the girl.
"Good! Maybe you know how it feels!"She shouted, turning around, and sitting ont he ground, whispering sweet apologies to her doll while the boy merely stood looking at her, scowling.
"It's just a stupid doll!" He said. Agari closed her eyes, promptly ignoring the boy.
"No it's not. It's mine. That means you can't treat her badly and get away with it." She said simply, but made no attempts to face the boy.
"Maybe I should get these other two out." Shouta said under his breath, standing up, and gathering the two girls to find their father. Just to avoid any collateral damage should this fight turn bad, which, if he knew his temperamental sister,would happen at any point...

...
"So, I just came back from getting the girls back to Lord Mitsunari." He explained in one breath, letting out a big sigh at the end of it. Lord Ieyasu and his wife looked at one another.
"You left them alone?" His mother said simply, walking past her son, and opening the door. She wanted to avoid any unnecessary problem as much as possible.
But when they opened the door, instead of fighting, they found a blushing Agari, but with a pout on her face as she looked at Hideyori, who was sitting up, smiling as he rubbed the back of his neck. Agari was holding the doll close to her. They both looked up when the door opened. Agari with the same expression while Hideyori held a more sheepish expression.
"Come, Agari, it's time to leave." Ieyasu said, walking over to his daughter, and picking her up. She looked over her shoulders, and down at the boy with a somewhat pensive expression, her blush and pout mostly gone.
"He's gonna be all alone." She said simply, looking up at her father."Can we stay until someone comes for him?" She questioned, tilting her head, and completely ignoring the beaming smile on the brown head kid's face. Ieyasu was surprised, glancing at his wife who nodded.
"Sure. Why not." He said simply, setting his daughter back down, who sat on the ground, facing the boy.
"This time, don't put her face into the ground." She said simply, handing the doll over to the boy, who nodded with a soft smile on his face......

...
"Got it!" Hiedyori cried out, bumping into Agari, which is what brought her out of her memories. She shook her head, looking over at the now teen aged Hideyori, who grinned, looking at her, waving the toy around slightly."I got it!" He once again said in a sing-songy type of tone. Agari merely raised an eyebrow.
After that, he never left me alone. Anytime our parents happened to be in the same place, this idoit would never leave me alone. I let him near me, and we played together. I supposed though, it really began on that day.
"Good for you. Can you keep it down?" She questioned,taking the toy from his hands, and setting it back in it's place.
"You could be nicer about it." He joked, teasing her a bit. Agari shook her head, but allowed a small smile that she wouldn't dare show him.
But I don't regret it.
She thought to herself, nodding as she pushed it back into shelf.
