Holding it up to the light coming in through his office window, the Iudex could see the true artistry of the brooch. The brass lyre was well polished, and the windwheel aster flowers painted at the base were so detailed he could see each individual red petal and the swirling green stems surrounding them. For having lived for centuries, he’d never seen such a quaint embellishment.

“I bought it at a vintage market they had before I left.” You gazed at how he inspected the lyre brooch you bought in Mondstadt city between his thumb and forefinger. “Isn’t it nice?”

“Indeed. For something so small, it is quite beautiful.” The cheerfulness in his voice was a relief to hear. You had taken a few rounds browsing the market, looking for the perfect souvenir. Despite the grandeur of his Iudex robes, Neuvillette was far from materialistic. You knew that something more understated would suit him well. The man from whom you purchased the brooch from said that this was a precious item. The original owner was his great grandmother who had received it from her beloved as a promise that they would celebrate Windblume Festivals together for as long as they lived. 

You retold the story to Neuvillette. “Now, a few years following his great grandmother's partner's passing, she asked him to sell it. She said she wished for another couple to have it to bless them with the love and happiness she experienced."  

He nodded. “A token of everlasting love between partners,” he said fondly. “It is something I wish for the two of us as well.” 

“Now that I think about it,” he grew wistful as he continued, “I rarely receive gifts from other regions. Aside from diplomatic ones, of course, but none have been personal or sentimental in nature.”

Turning from the window, he walked towards you standing beside his desk. “This is perhaps the first true gift someone has ever bought for me. Thank you, my dear.” Those sincere words were accompanied by him gently cupping your cheek and angling your face upwards. He placed a light kiss on your forehead. His easy affection made your heart soar. 

“For you, I’ll gladly be your supplier for all of Teyvat’s finest curios,” you grinned. 

He chuckled. “There is no one I would trust more in that role. Now,” he unpinned the brooch and handed it to you, ��Could you put it on for me? I’m certain my gloves would make it difficult for me to do it myself.” 

You dusted off his lapel, searching for a good space to find it. After pinning it in place, you took a step back to admire the newest addition to his uniform. Neuvilette straightened his robes. At that moment, you could have sworn the clouds parted, letting more of the warm, morning light pour inside.

Standing behind him, you brushed the hair framing Xiao’s face aside, giving room to place the necklace around him. Fingertips grazed his nape as you laid the cord flat and started tying it in place. His body stiffened at the contact, hyper-aware of your soft touch and absent-minded humming. 

“I can do it myself,” he had told you firmly a few seconds before. He had tried to clasp the necklace from behind, elbows pointed upwards. His brow furrowed deeper, the stubbornness to not ask for help was waning with each awkward, failed attempt. You leaned to the side to catch his gaze in the mirror in front of both of you. 

“Can you really?” you teased. “It would be much easier to let me help you, wouldn’t you say?” 

Xiao huffed when he saw your pouting face. He didn’t have the heart to say anything against your wishes. Facing against hordes of ruin guards and abyss mages was considered a warm up exercise for the yaksha, and yet the sight of a sulky Y/N made him weak. You held your hand out beside him, and he resignedly gave you the necklace. 

He looked at his reflection. Sitting just above his vajra necklace, the pendant was carved from pale green jade to be shaped like a small carp. Along the black cord were several other small jade beads secured in place between knots. It was certainly a divergence from his usual style. 

But it is… cute. Xiao thought, the corners of his lips lifted faintly. 

After clasping the necklace in place, your hands travelled to lay relaxedly on his shoulders. Feeling an unexpected stiffness, you began to gently massage them. Xiao cleared his throat, trying to find his voice again.

“You said this symbol is special in Qiaoying Village?” Though he was familiar with the village already, he wanted to hear you talk about it. 

You nodded. “Yep! I was told that in local legends, the carp is a symbol of good luck and protection for those who journey across the sea to trade with other nations, since, you know, Yilong Wharf is the main hub for transporting goods.”

He noticed your eyes flicking to the side, your voice turning more solemn. “Think of it as… a protection symbol from me, so that no matter where you are... you'll always remain safe and return to me.”

The moment was gone as soon as it came. You returned to your usual countenance. Bright and assured. The vulnerability slipping away along with your hands off his shoulders. 

Your words had provoked something within in that he couldn’t pinpoint. A sadness at your downcast expression, a frustration at himself for making you worry so often.

Overwhelmingly, however, he felt a desperation. A desperation to instil the confidence that he wouldn’t disappear one day without notice. He brought the pendant up to his lips. Your eyes widened. 

“Xiao?” 

“Thank you for giving this to me.” Resolve burned in his eyes as he gripped the necklace close to his chest. “Although I cannot promise I will be unharmed in my patrols, I- I can promise that I will always have enough strength to return to you.”

You wandered around the town below the hill where the prestigious Night Raven College sat. Finally, you spotted the place you were searching for: the jewelry shop.

You remembered the day Cater took you, Ace, Deuce and Grim out shopping for some plates and cups since Grim accidentally broke them. As you browsed around the jewelry shop, you spotted a beautiful golden ring sitting in a display case.

There was a regal golden lion's head carved into the ring and you could see the inscription carved inside the ring, "Heart of a Lion". You smiled. "That ring would look perfect on Leona-senpai's finger." you thought. "And it somewhat matches his nobility...in a way."

Even when you arrived home, the image of that ring had never left your mind. "Once Leona's birthday arrives, I'll get that ring for him." you promised yourself. And so, before the month of July came, you worked hard at Azul's Mostro Lounge daily to earn enough money to buy that ring as a birthday present for Leona.

Once you've scrimped and scraped enough money, you didn't hesitate to head towards the jewelry store and purchase the ring. Once you made your purchase, you quickly headed back to Night Raven. Just in time for the birthday celebrations at Savanaclaw.

The party at Savanaclaw was a blast! Balloons of coconut white, muddy brown and charcoal grey dotted the green shrubbery near the waterfall. Beneath the waterfall, glowing leaf lanterns floated idly in the water.

On the buffet table, there were apple fritters, courtesy of Epel, hamburgers, potato salad, shish kebabs, barbequed misuji meat, exotic fruits and in the center, a large, three-tiered cake with white vanilla icing and chocolate and mocha-flavored crispy pearls.

Leona stood at the very center of the lounge, clad in his blue mage birthday robes. You swear you've never seen anyone more handsome than Leona. He looked like a true mage in those robes.

Cater was with him, phone in hand. He was to be his birthday interviewer. As you approached them, you heard Leona answer Cater's first question, "If I'm going there by flight, I'd like a place that's in the middle of nowhere that not many people go to."

When Cater replied that it'll be difficult to enjoy touring and leisure, Leona responded that he just wanted to relax and that in a quiet environment where no one will disturb him, he wanted to sleep calmly.

You felt your heart sink a little when you heard his words. You've always known that Leona wasn't always the social type. He much preferred his own company rather than anyone else's.

Even though you've had a huge crush on him for quite the longest time, you doubted if he'd ever have feelings for you, too.

"A quiet place where no one will disturb you. You're right, that doesn't sound like a bad way to spend the time." Cater replied. Leona smirked. "Right? As a dorm leader and club captain, I usually always have something to worry about." he said. "It means I need time to rest my body and mind sometimes."

You rolled your eyes at that. "Obviously." you thought. Then Cater asked Leona the final question. "What's something you'd like to do in the upcoming year?"

"Not be held back, that's all." Leona replied simply. Neither you nor Cater were prepared to hear that answer at all. Were you going deaf, or did you clearly hear Leona say that he wasn't going to be held back? "Wh...! Huh, that's all?!" Cater asked in disbelief.

You couldn't help but smile at his answer. You heard that he held himself back for over 3 years because of poor attendance and him not putting any effort in studying. But you knew better.

Leona has always held himself back because he didn't want to go through the painful hassle of the palace life. Being the second-born prince, he always got the short end of the straw. Always being overlooked, no matter how hard he worked to be recognized.

You thought back to the time of that inter-dorm Magical Shift Tournament. When you and your friends found out that Leona was the mastermind behind the incidents, you confronted him. And that was when you saw the emotions in his eyes.

He looked frustrated, angry that everything he had worked so hard for had slipped through his fingers yet again. And when Lilia rebuked him, saying that a collar fits him more than a crown would, and that he would never be king, the words felt like a final nail in the coffin for Leona.

Watching Leona become so broken and defeated, you couldn't help but feel your heart break at the sight of him. You even heard how hollow his voice sounded as he spoke. "This agony, this despair. How could any of you possibly understand?!"

And then, his Overblot happened. After you managed to defeat him, you glimpsed at his past memories. Being badmouthed by the servants of his palace, being pressured by his desire to be respected and recognized, trying to best himself against Malleus but failing...

Even though Falena, Leona's brother and King of Sunset Savannah tried his best to support his little brother, Leona just coldly brushed him off, not wanting his pity.

When you both woke up, you saw that Leona was willing to do his best at the tournament. Even after Savanaclaw lost the match, you were somewhat happy to see Leona being determined to win next year's match, even though you don't agree with his underhanded methods.

As time went on, even though it wasn't noticeable at first glance, you could see the steps of progress Leona has made, little by little. Even though he was still lazy, languid and downright arrogant, you could see the bits of kindness, determination and will to live shine through.

Even now, you felt a sense of pride and joy for Leona for making it this far. Tears brimmed in your eyes as the memories flashed through your mind. "Leona-senpai..." you whispered, holding back a choked sob...

"Hey, herbivore!" Leona's baritone voice cuts through your thoughts like a blade, snapping you out of your musings. "How long are you going to stand there?"

"Oh, right! I need to give him his gift!" Without wasting another second, you hurried over to his side with the little black box with a golden bow in your hand. Leona raised an eyebrow as he watched you approach him with something hiding behind your back.

"So, you came to wish me a happy birthday, huh?" he asked with a smirk. "Well, ain't that admirable of you. So, what did you bring me, then? At the very least, you are presenting a gift to royalty. As such, I'm sure you've prepared a very fine gift."

You froze, starting to panic. A fine gift? Well, it is pretty expensive. Will he like it, though? You were starting to get anxious.

"I'll take it off your hands, so show me what you got behind your back, already." Leona demanded, holding out his hand. You gulped silently. "Well, here goes nothing. I hope he likes it." you thought as you handed him the black box.

Leona opened the box and saw the ring. "Huh. A gold ring." he said casually. "I've got plenty of those, you know." You nodded, knowing how much jewelry he has, being a wealthy prince and all.

"This ring is different, though." you said. This was it. It was time to confess how you felt towards him. You took a deep breath before you started to explain. "There's a reason why I picked that ring for you, senpai. I picked it because it reminds me of you."

"Leona, I understand that you've been through a lot over your lifetime. Everything from your childhood to your Overblot episode to now. That ring you hold in your hand symbolizes strength, courage, resoluteness and nobility."

"The words etched in that ring say, "Heart of a Lion". I sincerely believe that you do have the heart of a lion, despite what others say and think of you. Even though you can be lazy at times, arrogant, smug, bossy, snide..." Cater snickered at your descriptions.

"True." he whispered. Leona shot him a quick glare, telling him to shut up as you continued. "...You truly care about other people, even though you never show it outwardly. Leona Kingscholar, please consider this ring as a token of my unchanging love and support to you." you said as you gave him a small bow of respect.

"No matter what happens, I hope that you will be able to go beyond, to be able to reach for the stars, even though they seem very far. I have absolute faith that you will."

Leona was silent as he listened to your little speech. After you finished, a short silence fell upon the lounge. You wondered if he thought your speech was too boring and silly. You lifted your head, and you were about to apologize when you saw the smile on Leona's face.

"So I have the heart of a lion, huh?" Leona asked, admiring the golden lion ring. He looked at the inscription in the ring and smiled. "Guess you've got some taste, herbivore."

Your heart swelled with joy when you saw Leona slip the ring onto his index finger. He held up his hand, the golden ring glimmering in the light. "Thank you. It's a very meaningful gift." Hearing those thankful words coming from Leona, you smiled as more tears streamed down your cheeks.

A soft sob escaped from your throat as you tried to swallow the lump in it. "How embarrassing. Crying in front of Leona on his birthday? What's the matter with you?!" you berated yourself mentally.

You raised your arm in a frantic attempt to dry your tears, but they just kept coming. "Please, just stop crying!" you silently pleaded. You then noticed movement coming towards you and you looked up at Leona.

Your cheeks flushed red. But before you could apologize for putting on such a babyish display, Leona wrapped his arms around you, embracing your body. "Le-Leona?" you asked, feeling your heart beating rapidly in your chest.

"It's okay, herbivore. You're just happy, right?" Leona whispered in your ear. You nodded. "Sorry about that." you apologized. Leona shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Thanks."

You smiled. "You're welcome." Cater held up his phone, capturing that sweet, tender, loving moment on video. Leona will have to deal with him later...

Finally, it was time for Leona to take off on his broom. As you and Leona walked down the cobblestone path of Main Street, Leona then reached towards his broom's bouquet and plucked out a golden orchid.

He held it towards you. "For you, herbivore, as thanks for the speech." he said. You know what that orchid meant. In the language of flowers, the golden orchid symbolizes love, luxury, beauty and strength.

Leona had all those: strength, beauty, luxury and love. You hoped that one day, with your perseverance, love, courage and strength, you'll be able to stand by his side as his beloved queen.

You smiled as you took the orchid from his hand. "Thank you, Leona." you replied gratefully. "Happy birthday, my beloved king."

Leona gave you one last wink before he hopped onto his broom and flew off into the night, leaving behind a trail of golden petals and sparkles.

As Leona soared higher and higher, he looked up at the evening sky. Thousands upon thousands of bright, shining stars dotted the inky darkness, some of them streaking across the heavens, leaving behind trails of stardust.

Back in his homeland, the stars were said to be the great kings of the past watching over everyone down below. Your words echoed in his mind, "No matter what happens, I hope that you will be able to go beyond, to be able to reach for the stars, even though they seem very far. I have absolute faith that you will."

As Leona gazed at the glittering golden lion ring on his finger, a great spark of hope ignited within his heart. "One day," he silently vowed, "my story will be told throughout the ages. My star will be shining the brightest, the greatest of them all. And (Y/N)'s alongside mine." And he will see to it that that promise comes true.

Chapter 1

This is a twilight and marvel mashup, the daughter of loki finds her soulmate in jasper Cullen and the twists and turns it will take them both

Note this is my first fanfic ever please be nice. I’m trying I constantly reread and change/fix these. As of 1/25/24 i've redone this story it is no longer a reader insert. I want to thank everyone who liked the original and hope you like the updated version more, this was my first ever fic and i've slowly grown as a writer so everyone enjoy

It begins like every other day on Asgard, sunny and golden, gilded with light, as the sounds of a baby’s wails break the silence of the healing wing. Loki paces back and forth, waiting to be with his wife and newborn. The doors swing open and an attendant comes forward.

“You may enter your highness, your wife and child are all cleaned up and waiting for you”. Brushing past the attendant, Loki heads straight for the figure sitting up against the backboard of the green silk bed.

“My darling, how are you? How do you feel? Do you need anything? Are you hung/…’..

“/Loki, calm down. I'm perfectly fine. A little tired but it was all worth it to finally meet our daughter.”

“it’s a girl”

“Yes ,my son , she is a beautiful baby princess and here she is ready to meet her parents .”

Walking to the new parents with a bundle of green and gold cloth in her hands, Frigga handed the new princess to her mother. The baby was a light blue theraise markings prominent on her body, tuffs of deep black hair crowned her head Asher scarlet eyes opened to take in her parents. Lady Sigyn didn't even pause at the baby’s coloring, long since having broken Loki of thinking himself a monster due to his heritage

“She is half Jotun like we expected but her body should adjust to the environment soon just as her father did” queen Frigga states noticing her son had yet to say anything. Loki just stared at his daughter's small form resting in his beloved's arms, slowly offering his finger to the babygirl. Skin turning blue as the bay gripped it in her small hands

“She’s beautiful”,

“Yes, she is! oh Loki look,”

The new parents watched as scarlet eyes gave way to white with beautiful amethyst irises, skin turning a beautiful pale like her fathers with a dashing of freckles like her mother

“She looks just like you, my prince, beautiful dark hair and all.”

“She looks. Like the both of us, a perfect blend. My little Raven, Elara frigga Lokidottir Princess of Asgard.”

800 years have passed and the young princess has grown into a young woman of grace and beauty. A mage like her father and grandmother before her, and warrior in her own right. I mean, how could she not? With private training form an actual Valkyrie, and the literal goddess of war and god of thunder (god of sparkles lol) as her aunt and uncle. In all her time though, she has grown up around love,seeing it in her parents' faces as they look at one another. In her baby brother's eyes as they babble up at her, Her grandparents and uncle and so many others, that she was ready to find it herself.

“Mother, father, I've done it.” Elara omimites as she bursts into her parents sitting room. Sigyn was sitting on the floor with the twins as they had tummy time while Loki was next to her legs crossed at the ankle reading a book to the two of them.

`What is that my little raven?”

“ Father, I've completed the spell to find my soulmate.”

“Soulmate? Spell? Darling what are you talking about, you're still so young you shouldn’t have to be so worried about that.”

“Mother you and father were only 200 years older than me when you both finally married and much younger than that the first time you met and started cavorting with each other. Besides, I'm ready. I want to have what all of you have, especially before I'm used as a pawn to help diplomatic affairs, I want to find my other half.”

“My little raven, we would never allow the allfather or anyone else to use you as a pawn. Besides i second your thoughts”.

“Loki why am i not surprised you are some howenvloved with our daughter trying to leave

“Dear, it will all be fine trust me I would do nothing that would harm our little raven” he kisses his wife soothing her while gesturing to elara to carry on with her proclamation ,

“go ahead love tell us what you’ve discovered”

“ Mother?” Sigyn pinches her mouth looking between her mischievous husband and equally energetic eldest

“Fine, I will go along with you and your fathers plans but i wish to be there when the spell is cast and part of the travel discussions”

“Absolutely mother, I can do the spell now, i just need the maps of the realms”

Loki summons all the maps he's collected over the years including a globe of earth and sets them up for his daughter, when a thought finally occurs to him.

“Odin forbid this adventure, send you to Midgard.”

“Loki we will be supportive of whoever it ends up being and wherever it ends up taking her. Besides, if you didn’t want her to go away, you shouldn’t have helped her make the spell to begin with.”

“Your words cut deep my love. I simply hoped for her future match to be here in Asgard.”

“Of course you did, dear. Now sweetie, let's proceed with this event.”

The maps of the realms litter the giant green carpet. In front of you, setting the small golden bowl of which to concoct the spell in the middle of th wide green rugs.”

“So I modified a spell to find a lost item and a spell to show your hearts desire, combining the two with a very complicated magic circle I should be able to find my soulmate”,

“Very impressive little raven”

“Thank you father ok lets start. The purple magic flows from your fingers towards the bowl containing the two simple spells ingredients while your power spreads out forming the magic circle. As soon as it's complete a bright pulsing light shoots up. Dancing around Elara several times before shooting over to the maps.

“It's working!” Sigyn happily. Awes watching her daughter work.

Pulsing around the realms maps the light simply hoovers before shooting for the Midgardian globe encasing it insistently

“Oh joy of course my daughters soulmate is a Midgardian”

“Honestly, I think it serves you right Loki”, Sigyn states picking at her husband and his distaste for midgardians “but you don’t even know who or what this midgarden is. Who knows, they could be gifted like our dear Wanda”

“Yes my darling” Loki says as he collapses on the nearest couch.

“Well go on my little raven, let's see where in Midgard you will be visiting”

Walking over to the globe, Elara peers over to what small words have now been illuminated.

“It’s a place called….. Forks, Washington.”

ah the original posts are kind of messy bc i’ve made a couple attempts at starting his playthrough... here’s the basics!

arthur trevelyan, my human mage inquisitor, eldest of four children of bann trevelyan of ostwick

he’s abt 25-27, red hair, eyes bright green with the anchor’s glow, all charm with a slight sarcastic/exhausted edge, fundamentally kind-hearted and well-intentioned with a seething underlayer of anger and envy he keeps on a tight leash

his father’s beloved ideal heir until his magic manifested in his early teenage years. after his father’s brief and singularly unsuccessful attempt at hiding it, was taken to the circle. was also in an arranged betrothal to josephine montilyet before being taken to the circle! but they were young and only met once

well-liked in the circle for his easy charm and endless big brother instinct. deeply admiring of libertarians and apostates but personally a self-identified coward unsure rebellion was even possible, whose first thought was to keep everyone safe, especially his apprentice, a young fereldan mage called lilith

when the rebellion happened, it was a wonder—but still nothing mattered more to him than his apprentice, who had no family to run back to. he informally adopted lilith as his daughter and they went on the run, but were separated during a desperate confrontation when arthur stayed behind for a terrible explosion of blood magic so she and the other mages they were with could escape

arthur’s templar sister, helena, was sent to hunt him down for it. when he convinced her she couldn’t kill her own brother without proof he was a blood mage, she dragged him to the conclave to seek higher judgement

after the conclave explodes, everyone who knows what he was there for is dead, including his sister. desperate to secure his own safety and any measure of control while surrounded by chantry forces, he jumps on the opportunity to declare himself the herald of andraste, no matter how many lies it takes

Marriage of State AU Character Designs: The Codfather

Like Lizzie, Jimmy has two forms, Pre-Killing the DragonPlot Event and Post-Plot Event, both indicated on the Handy Dandy Height Chart

Pre-Eeveelution Jimmy: Before his full codfather-ification, Jimmy is assumed by the other rulers outside his alliance to just be a run-of-the-mill cod hybrid. He's mostly human in appearance, with a few fishy traits. Some scattered scales, especially from his temples down to his collarbone, webbed fingers and toes a bit of a tail, slightly sharper than standard human teeth. He's a bit on the tall side for a cod hybrid, but not enough to raise any flags, red or otherwise, especially given that he's not that much taller than any of the WRA. His eyes are human (and brown). He usually has slime and/or mud in his hair. Somehow.

He does have gills but they have very visible scarring on one side, resulting from the damage done to his egg in the salmon attack. (Yes this does negatively impact his ability to breath underwater) The scarring goes all the way down his left side from his ear to just past his knee. It's faint, due to age, but very distinct and does impact his swimming, though he learned to compensate for that very young and is just as fast and agile in the water as any of his or Lizzie's people.

Eevee Evolutioned Jimmy: Swamp Monster! Like Lizzie, he is now Very Clearly A Little Eldritch. has proper fish teeth, fully fish eyes (black center with a ring of gold around them). He grows fins off his face and arms, which does make the left side scarring more obvious, as it affects his fins on that side. His tail has grown and his limb proportions are just slightly off. He also now has the lateral line, (visible in the above picture) allowing him to sense vibrations in the water more clearly, giving him better underwater perception in general. His scales are now scattered over his entire face, rather than concentrated by his hairline, giving the overall appearance of green and brown freckles. His hair is also a bit shaggier and longer, though he seriously considers cutting it at first. TBD if he actually does. There is still usually slime in it.

Jimmy actually adjusts a bit better to the physical change than Lizzie does, though they both seem to have some sort of muscle memory for their divine forms, due to his history of learning to compensate for his steadily developing physical disabilities from his egg damage. They both acclimate rapidly but he had just the slightest bit of an edge there.

Costuming:

The Codfather Head my beloved/be-loathed. ngl, I saw doodle-lists art fairly early on and it permanently changed my brain chemistry so uhh...yeah basically that. In addition to serving as a traditional face-covering (by oceanic traditions for god-rulers. Lizzie also technically is supposed to be wearing face coverings, she just. doesn't. Except very occasionally, in the style of a veil made of strings of seed pearls. I forgot to mention this on her post oop.) the codfather head/mask also has enchantments on it allowing him to breath easily underwater, accommodating for the damage to his gills. Obviously this is very important to him on a personal level, due to being amphibious. (It also has enchantments so it doesn't obstruct his vision in anyway. It is the fine-tuned result of a decades long collaboration between the Oceanic mage priests and the Swamp witches.)

Day-to-day We're pretty much throwing the whole skin out the window tbh, beyond the very vaguest of inspirations.

Like in the ocean, a priority of clothing is reduction of drag, though they care much less about transitioning from water to land, partly because they do it so often in the swamp.

Swamp day wear is very simple, primarily linen, which both is suited for a hotter climate and dries quickly. Jimmy wears the same things as the majority of his people, simple generic medieval-fantasy tunic and trousers, cut to reduce drag in the water. He does not wear shoes. (Neither of the seablings do. Most aquatic hybrids don't.)

His fancy clothes are either Oceanic or Mezalean style or a nicer version of his day wear. (Still with no shoes)

He does wear some simple jewelry, gifts from Lizzie and Joel and Pix. a copper armband, a golden tail cuff, little prismarine stud earrings. All things that won't get in the way when he's working on land or in the water and remind him of his family. (The pierced ears is a Mezalean thing, not an Oceanic thing. It was all a very teen rebellion-esque, if your teen rebellion involves the actions thereof being facilitated by one of the people who helped raised you. Mezalean style earrings are, however, extremely impractical in the water so studs it was.) Both the armband and the tail cuff have to be resized after his divinely sourced growth spurt.

He stops wearing sleeves after his eeveelution, because arm fins and sleeves do not mix. (Scott does not appreciate this in the slightest, nope.)

Armor

bronze-plated netherite fishscale armor. (I just realized i need to go back and edit Lizzie's post to include her armor rip).

His armor also doesn't have sleeves (post eeveelution) but he does have arm guards he can strap on around his fins. When he remembers to. Stylistically, this is also very similar to doodle-list's design. (What can I say, it lives rent free in my head.) His armor isn't super heavy, as it is designed as much for underwater combat as dry land and needs minimal drag.

He doesn't have a proper helmet but the codfather head is enchanted extremely thoroughly and serves well enough.

He wears his sword on his back, since it's too long for a more typical sheathe at the waist, and usually also has his trident back there so he can be hands free when not actively fighting. (Yes, his stealth stats on land are absolutely terrible. He makes up for it underwater.)

Yes, that's my beloved... Touchstarved is the perfect game for me as it focuses on one of my favorite themes: Monstrosity. What is a monster? What makes one a monster? What is the line between a creature to be worshipped and a creature to be loathed? And ironically, out of all characters with their own ways of being a monster, the only human in the cast is the most interesting one to me lol.

Leander is not an ordinary human of course, he is a mage who is admired and deemed heroic. And yet, he might the most monstrous one of them all. What makes him tick? Which part of him demolishes the line between a human being and a monster? All other LIs have a monstrous form that makes them easy to recognize: Talons, tails, fangs, multiple eyes. But the monster in Leander is not visible to eye. Monsters and humans are generally presented as dichtonomies; beings that are competely opposite. We define one by another. But like I said before, aren't humans capable of doing more horrible things than the monsters we see in literature or movies? Aren't monsters created by the creativity of humans; all of your deepest fears stacked onto one another until it takes a visible shape?

Whatever is up with Leander, he almost surely crossed the boundaries he shouldn't have; and lost his fundamental qualities that being a "normal human" requires. Hello hello everyone I'm back at it again at Krispy Kreme- I mean my Mariolore AU silliness and I have with me today the Lineage of the Queens of the Mushroom Kingdom. The line of Queens will range from Dove all the way into the future/modern era to the princess that will one day become Queen. Without further ado let us begin with Queen Dove herself :3

Queen Dove was indeed "Beloved by the Realm" as her gentle spirit had managed to tame her husband King Boo known as the "Tyrant King". Dove was also a devoted mother to her and Boo's two children Theresa and Haru, and a loving wife for many years up until King Boo's death. After her husband died, the Queen continued to rule over the Mushroom Kingdom for 3 more years until she abdicated the throne to her oldest child and only daughter Theresa, retiring and becoming the Dowager Queen as she moved into the Summer Castle to live out the rest of her life...

Queen Theresa the Mad ascended to the throne at 21 years old when her mother Queen Dove abdicated the throne to her. The first few years of her reign were peaceful until Theresa eventually suffered from a mental breakdown due to a build up of paranoia, believing that her younger brother Haru was planning to take her throne for himself, which caused her to start attacking some of the other kingdoms in the region. Eventually she did get overthrown by Haru who used the power of the Seven Stars to seal her away into a painting, but not before she used the last of her dark magic to place a curse on her brother and his bloodline, uttering the words "No more sons shall inherit the throne forevermore..."

Queen Papaya of the Sprixies was the daughter of Queen Green Sprixie, and when Prince Haru of the Mushroom Kingdom arrived at her home to seek asylum after Queen Theresa's failed attempt to kill him, she convinced her mother to let him stay. During the time the prince stayed at the Sprixie Kingdom, he and Papaya fell in love before Haru eventually set off to take back the Mushroom Kingdom once his older sister started getting out of control with her destruction. After the war ended and Haru was crowned King, Papaya and her Sprixie servants left the Sprixie Kingdom and used their magic to restore the region back to life when it was on the brink of ruin. As soon as she reunited with the newly crowned King of the Mushroom Kingdom, Haru asked her to marry him and become his Queen, to which she accepted. Their marriage would unite the Mushroom and Sprixie Kingdoms together, and during her reign as Queen, Papaya oversaw that the Sprixies had a good relationship with the Toads and Humans of the Mushroom Kingdom...

Queen Momo the Precious would be the first Queen to start the lineage of female monarchs, as she was the daughter of King Haru and Queen Papaya. As a child Momo learned how to dance and her love for dancing grew with her into adulthood, and even as Queen she continued to dance at festivals, parties, and other events. Momo adored her subjects just as much as they loved her, and her reign over the Mushroom Kingdom would be known as a Golden Age. Under Momo's rule, peace, prosperity, and the people all flourished in the Mushroom Kingdom...

Queen Sora the Warrior was the daughter of Queen Momo and feared by those who dared to threaten the Mushroom Kingdom. As a young child she watched her father train the knights and guards that defended her home, and after many pleas to join her father decided to let her train as a knight. Even after many years of training Sora would still continue to spar with the knights as Queen, and soon her skills were put to the test when a rouge faction of Koopas started attacking the Mushroom Kingdom due to a disagreement over territory. Enemies would flee upon seeing the massive sword Sora carried with her, and during the battle that becoming the turning point only one Koopa mage was brave enough to try to defeat the Warrior Queen, but fate had their plans as during their fight Queen Sora and the Koopa Mage fell in love. And from their love the Queen and the Mage combined their swordsmanship and magic to end the fighting once and for all...

Queen Elemora the Majestic was the half human half koopa daughter born from the union of her parents, her mother being Queen Sora and her father a Koopa Mage. Elemora proved to be her father's daughter as she inherited his koopa magic, and just like her mother learned how to be a warrior from her father, Elemora learned from her father on how to use her koopa magic. When the half koopa queen was crowned, she wasted no time in making sure that the relationship between the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdom was restored to its greatness as the previous war had caused it to deteriorate. Even though majority saw Elemora as a human, there would be times when those unlucky enough would bear witness to her koopa side...

Queen Seraphina the Songstress was the daughter of Queen Elemora, and just like the title she held Seraphina's singing was the most beautiful thing that the Mushroom Kingdom and the entire region could hear for thousands of miles. As her singing started as a child, Seraphina would continue to carry a tune into her adulthood and when she became Queen she sought to utilize her voice to the fullest extent. Seraphina would then oversee the building of the Sparkle Theater as one of her first acts of Queen, and once it opened many came far and war to see the Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom perform as the first Opera Singer in the Sparkle Theater. After performing many solo acts, she eventually began to perform duets with her husband, a Luma being who was banished after he began to become more human...

Queen Morgana the Devoted is the daughter of Queen Seraphina, and since she was a teenager Morgana loved being social with everyone she came across. The young queen's marriage to a newly promoted captain boosted morale for the citizens, as the his business in trading overseas flourished which led to the economy of the Mushroom Kingdom being nearly restored to it's former glory. But tragedy would strike as shortly after the couple's daughter was born, a dangerous storm had struck the king's ship while he was out at sea, and the captain went down with his ship after making sure his crew had safely made it out. Queen Morgana would grieve over the loss of her beloved husband along with the Mushroom Kingdom, and she would make sure that she put her young infant daughter who needed her the most first above all else. As her daughter grew into a child, Morgana began a relationship with a Koopa diplomat who had been friends with her late husband, and eventually the two of them wed. When her daughter grew older and married her own husband, Morgana abdicated the throne to her and retired to the Summer Castle as the Dowager Queen with her second husband. The Dowager Queen and her current husband still reside in the Summer Castle, as they grow older together...

Queen Freya the Wonder is the daughter of Queen Morgana and the current ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom as we enter the modern era. As fate would have it, Freya happened to posses the powers of the Oracle and this meant that she was also the new Queen of the Celestial Kingdom, causing for the island that had been neutral for centuries to now become allied with the Mushroom Kingdom. With Freya's powers as an Oracle proving to be the strongest out of all previous rulers of the Celestial Kingdom, the Seven Stars themselves descended onto the Mushroom Kingdom so they could teach the young "Queen of Queens" on how to use her powers to better the world itself. Queen Freya continues to rule over the Mushroom Kingdom and uses her powers to protect it along with the other kingdoms...

Princess Aurora "Peach" Toadstool is the young 14 year old daughter of Queen Freya, and is an eager little princess that has a heart for animals and adventure. She still has a lot to learn on what it truly means to be a Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom, but nonetheless she continues to grow everyday and run around the castle she calls home under the watchful eyes of her parents and the castle staff...

And that concludes the Lineage of the Queens of the Mushroom Kingdom! To wrap it all up I also have a family tree that I created so it can help everyone remember who's the daughter of who. It also includes the names of the kings that the queens married :D (If you guys are having trouble reading my handwriting in some certain areas then just let me know and I can type it out so it's easier-)

Pokespe miitopia au my beloved 💕 here we have the Greenhorne Kanto kids, the Neksdor johto crew, and the Realm of the Fey hoenn squad! I love them all dearly they're like little dolls to me

types of weapons the hunters would use pt. 2

this time, the draw sword guild, definitely not my favorites :)

goto ryuji:

his sword is really cool, actually. a very nice ruby red. i think he would have a long sword and short sword (kind of like the daisho, a matched pair of japanese swords). otherwise, he would just use his hands. or his teeth. i think he just doesn't really care too much about how it's done, as long as it gets done

sugimoto reiji:

it's not stated in the manhwa what class he is, so i head canon him as an assassin because i think there's only one or two that are canon. so, i think he would have a dagger for short-range kills, and kunai and shuriken for long-range kills (slightly inspired by genji from overwatch's kunai and shuriken setup - the green even matches his usual suit...)

tanaka kenzo:

his fists suit him as a tank-esque fighter. if not that, then brass knuckles (slightly inspired by seo seongun from lookism... beloved...) also i just think he likes to get hands on with things, if him during the jeju arc gives us any clue what his fighting style is like

tawata kanae:

i think a two-sided spear or scimitar would be cool. she also has double blades as it is, so i think she just likes working with two instead of one. higher level of efficiency and all

fujishima tatsumi:

i think he would use things more for looks rather than efficiency, so anything cool or unique... a scythe seems up his alley. something like ruby's scythe (especially because it also works as a gun - and i think the engineering mind i've head canoned for him would love to fiddle with that and make it abysmally powerful)

ishida mari:

i headcanon him as a ranger because i think there's literally only taegyu otherwise. so he would use a compact bow as his main weapon (inspired by the chiron form of the coronacht bow), but he also uses a rapier. he strikes me as a rich kid that studied abroad in london and learned fencing (i know it's really specific but those are just the vibes i get)

shimizu akari:

she has her giant golden battle axe. i also think she would know boxing, so she has short-ranged hand-to-hand combat down

kumamoto atsushi:

he doesn't really need a weapon, since he has a strange fighting style, and i headcanon he transforms like yoonho. but... something blunt, like a mace or a club. maybe nunchucks? or something similar to the playful cloud weapon from jujutsu kaizen?

hamada kei:

they're an ice type mage, so they have a varied attack pattern, but i think they would like a bowstaff or a baton (inspired by nami's clima tact from one piece. it even has the bonus of controlling the weather through temperature - which kei can... sorta do, lmao). something to easily knock-out any monsters that get near them so they can run before they throw up. really, it's more of a back up weapon, since they would take anything out before it got too close to them (inspired by this video!)

izawa ippei:

the actual canon assassin. well, i headcanon he likes collecting all sorts of weapons and learning how to use them, but his go-to would be something slightly ranged, like a spear (inspired by maki's from jujutsu kaizen) or a scythe (i think something simple like the one from soul eater would suit him best)

hoshino minoru:

i also headcanon him as an assassin (i mean, look at that raid outfit - you can't tell me that's not built perfectly for stealth and a better range of motion!), but more short-ranged and borderline fighter style. i think he has a sickle for quick chain kills, and an old dagger for sneak kills. (sickle is directly inspired by percy jackson and chronos' sickle, but i don't think we ever got to see it in a movie, but something along these lines would fit well. dagger is more of the hunting/gutting knife from the hannibal nbc series)

well... that about wraps it up! i tried to get more visuals from media this time instead of just googling the weapon type from the internet. there are some pretty cool weapon designs already out there, unique ones that always catch my eye. i just like weapons a lot lmao
