Son of Hulk clearly had a better barber on @kabam's Battleworld than on @MarvelStudios' Sakaar. (More barber jokes in the thread here and here.) He recently broke the top 100 most-wanted champs

Whoevers in charge of the Marvel Videogames should simply take all of the Concept Art and Lore from Marvel's Realm of Champions and turn that shit into an MMORPG.
Seriously look at all this world building which didn't even serve any purpose in the actual gameplay!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not saying that the Marvel version of DC Universe Online would be any good, but it could at least be fun to explore BATTLEWORLD in a videogame.
People loved exploring New York in the Spider-Man games, imagine exploring THIS New York.
Tumblr media
You could explore the gamma horde desert!

or... or whatever the fuck this is...

Riders in Kombat - Parka vs. Mummy - 1
Earth’s Kamen Riders were all leading their respective lives as they saw fit after a year of fighting enemies on a weekly or daily basis, when strange creatures began appearing and attacking indiscriminately.
or Mortal Kombat karakters fight Kamen Riders.
A/N: A self-indulgent idea that sprung from the question of “Who wins in a fight, Raiden, god of Thunder or Kamen Rider Gaim?”
This time its Kamen Rider Ghost vs. Ermac.

Special shoutout to @dangerouscommiesubversive for answering some anons who asked about Mortal Kombat vs Kamen Rider related questions (its my cousin, the other user of this blog).

Takeru was just enjoying the company of his childhood friends and the good people he met inside the Ganma world. He and Aria were simply talking when a disheveled Narita suddenly disrupted the peaceful gathering.
"Takeru, weird monsters are attacking the temple!" Narita exclaimed.
Alain looked at his sister as if asking for permission.
"Go," Aria nodded. "You four need to protect Earth and its people."
"But…"
"I will hold down the fort while you're gone."
"Takeru, let's go."
"Okay, Makoto-niichan."
---------
Indeed, as soon as Takeru and the others exited the Daitenkuu temple, it was surrounded by hordes of monsters. They all had horns and weapons in their hands.
If not for the force field that Takeru regularly puts around the temple, he knew that the temple was going to be overrun.
"What's going on?" Kanon questioned.
"This happened a few hours ago," Akari reported. "These invaders know nothing of the world and communications are still online."
"Has anyone contacted?" Makoto asked.
"Hina-chan has contacted me if we can place Kisaragi-san's school in the temple," Akari informed. "Although the most important people that needed to be safeguarded were Kisaragi-san and his clubmates, considering the information they have, according to Hina-chan's brother."
"Where's Onari and Shibuya?" Takeru questioned.
"Onari accompanied Shibuya when the latter wanted to visit his mom, and it led to them discovering what was happening in the city," Akari sighed. "Shibuya's tending to his mother while Onari went back to the city to check in with Onodera-san, his family, and Narita's family."
"Where is he now?"
"He just arrived with Onodera-san and his family and Narita's family."
"The temple can't handle more people to get evacuated here." Kanon grimly noted.
"As things stand, I think the Gamma world is the safest place for a lot of people." Alain spoke up.
"But we can't place all of them there," Akari shook her head. "We'd be imposing on you."
"I think even the Helheim forest is safer than here…" Takeru trailed off as he saw a few military personnel just got dragged off by a winged creature.
"Oh my god!"
Suddenly a policeman was flying towards them, head first.
"No," Takeru frowned. "Narita, Akari, head to the Gamma world, now!"
"But…"
"Just do it!" Takeru exclaimed. "You need to grab everyone and hurry there, I'm dismissing the force field," He explained. "Makoto-niichan, Alain, prepare to catch."
"I'll escort them." Kanon volunteered before transforming into a rider wearing a pink parka.
"I'll leave them to you, Kanon-chan."
"Leave it to me."
Kanon, Akari, and Narita rushed inside grabbing the civilians and monks of the temple, and hurried to the basement door as Takeru dismissed the force field.
As soon as the force field was dismissed, Makoto caught the flying policeman and hurried him towards the basement so that he can escape as Alain and Takeru fought off the horned monsters that were attempting to invade the temple's grounds.
"Henshin!"
Both Takeru and Alain transformed into Ghost and Necrom respectively as they held off the invading army using any means necessary, all ending in explosions.
Suddenly a mummified humanoid floated onto the temple's grounds and was using the monsters themselves as projectiles towards Takeru and Alain, all of whom were deflected by their respective weapons.
"The emperor will have your souls."
"No one can have Takeru's soul," several parkas emerged from Takeru's belt buckle and covered him as black humanoid figures filled the parka's opening. "His soul is his alone!" The one wearing the red parka stepped forward.
"Musashi."
Takeru stood up as he stood beside the being identified as Musashi.
"You, you fight like us, a being fighting with souls." The mummified being identified their opponent. "However it matters not, We have the might of a million souls."
Takeru was taken aback by the declaration. He not only was shocked by the declaration but also because he'd just seen the vast number of souls within the mummified warrior.
"No…"
"Takeru?" Alain kicked a monster to the temple's walls.
"How- Why?!" Takeru questioned, anguished at what he discovered.
"We are simply a construct by the emperor, a fusion of a million souls who perished in the emperor's wars." Ermac declared. "And you will share their fate."
"I don't think so, Ermac." Takeru growled as all the parkas shed their figures and returned to Takeru's belt.
Ermac threw their monster allies to Takeru before he rushed towards the parka rider and palmed his chest, throwing him to the temple's wall.
"Himiko, lend me your strength, Henshin" Takeru prayed as he transformed and donned the pink parka and began moving gracefully.
Takeru evaded each of Ermac's strikes, by using Himiko's precognitive abilities. He was able to strike the mummified being with his naginata before kicking him outside of the temple grounds.
Unbeknownst to Takeru, a lot of Ermac's allies, particularly those who were used as projectiles, managed to fight Alain to a standstill. As a result some of them had been able to sneak up onto Kamen Rider Ghost and prepared to attack.
"Takeru loo-" Alain was cut off from yelling the full warning as he got overwhelmed by the number of monsters he was fighting.
Takeru, unfortunately, noticed Alain's words too late and wasn't able to guard himself from the incoming swords that were about to strike him.
Luckily, before the swords were able to make contact with Kamen Rider Ghost, the Kamen Rider Specter siblings managed to kick them away from Takeru, sparing him from the attack.
"Thank you, Makoto-niichan, Kanon-chan." Takeru expressed his gratitude.
"It's not like you to be snuck up on, Takeru." Makoto frowned.
"I was fighting someone who has a lot of souls in them," Takeru admitted.
"A lot of souls in them?" Kanon asked.
"It's like the eyecons, only this one had a million souls inside them," Takeru tried his best to explain things about his opponent. "I had just kicked them out of the temple's grounds when those two snuck up on me."
"I see." Makoto nodded. "Then let's clean up."
The four ghost-themed riders made quick work of the remaining monsters before they converged at the center to assess the damage to the temple.
"This is going to take some time to repair and rebuild," Takeru admitted. "I'm just glad that Akari and the others are safe."
"We can always help, Takeru." Alain offered.
"And I thank you fo-whoah!"
Takeru was cut off from expressing his gratitude when he was involuntarily levitated before getting slammed to the walls and to the ground.
"We were wrong to underestimate someone who fights like us," Ermac floated back inside the temple's grounds. "We will not make the same mistake."
"Takeru!" Makoto ran towards his best friend and stood in front of him, donning a fighting stance." "Is this the one?"
"Yeah, they're like an eyecon." Takeru winced as he got up from the ground. "Only thing is that they have a million of souls instead of just one."
"From what I've seen, they don't use the souls inside them to fight like we do." Alain pointed out.
"Let's do this." Kanon nodded.
"Right."
Takeru passed to Kanon Himiko's eyecon as he placed another eyecon into his belt and donned a red parka.
"Musashi"
Kanon was now wearing a pinker parka than the one she was wearing earlier.
"Himiko"
Alain was now wearing a parka with green and white instead of the green-black parka he had earlier.
"Grimm"
Makoto replaced his black and blue parka with a purple one.
"Nobunaga."
All four Riders attacked Ermac simultaneously. Alain used the pens on his shoulders to attack the mummified warrior from afar, all of which were deflected by an invisible force.
Takeru and Makoto rushed towards Ermac with their respective weapons, Ghost's two swords, and Specter's rod, and attacked the construct with a number of strikes and slashes, most of which were dodged or deflected by an invisible force.
Kanon was the only fighter successful in hitting the mummified warrior with her attacks. She was able to use Himiko's precognitive abilities and was able to make her attacks connect to the construct that she knew her enemy would leave unguarded.
"We tire of this charade."
Ermac exclaimed as they released a shockwave, knocking everyone and everything over. They gestured their hands in Alain, Kanon's, and Makoto's direction and telepathically lifted them.
Fearing for the worst, Takeru equipped himself with the golden Driver he had on hand and transformed into a golden version of his suit but with red accents and without a parka.
"Grateful!"
Transforming into Grateful damashii caused the other three riders to lose their parkas leaving them bare, with just their undersuits.
"Houdini!" Takeru immediately summoned Makoto's blue motorcycle from out of nowhere. "Save Makoto-niichan and the others."
"Alright!"
The motorcycle unfurled and used its chains to grab hold of Makoto and the others before he safely deposited them on the ground.
Takeru then summoned Specter's rod and his sword to his person and rushed towards the mummified warrior. He let out a number of attacks, some of them hit his opponent, some missed, but he didn't let up the pressure.
Takeru realized that this construct needed to be dealt with soon, or else something worse than the Gammaizers would wreak havoc on the world.
Ermac was no slouch in a fight either. They easily matched Takeru's pace and managed to defend themselves from the number of physical attacks coming their way. They were wrong to underestimate this young warrior. He also bears the souls of past warriors with him.
Takeru nodded as he noticed that Ermac was near the temple's entrance. He threw his weapons before flying to the air, intending to do his finisher.
"Grateful Omega Drive."
As Takeru descended, he heard a voice.
----------
Takeru soon found himself in a green void, surrounded by a myriad of souls. He took notice of two of them, one had this regal air in them.
The other was a bald shirtless man, who had this power in him.
"Welcome, young warrior," The shirtless man greeted. "I am Kung Lao, I was once a warrior for Earthrealm in order to stop Shao Kahn from invading our realm but after my first victory, I was defeated." The man narrated.
"And I am Jerrod, I was once a king of another realm, that fell under Shao Kahn's invasion." The regal soul added.
"We are afraid that this is no mere invasion, young warrior," Kung Lao stated somberly. "Our realms come from another universe."
"Emperor Shao Kahn grew frustrated that he has been unable to conquer Earthrealm, due to my wife's sacrifice,"
"And our stubbornness." Kung Lao added.
"And Earthrealm's tenacity, he opted to search for other worlds, other universes where he claims he'll have better luck invading."
"Why does he want to conquer?"
"His greed for power, young warrior," Jerrod answered. "He fashions himself as this great ruler who everyone should bow to."
"How did he travel to another universe?" Takeru couldn't help but ask.
"Other universes have made contact with our universe before, young warrior," Jerrod answered. "He sought to replicate those events in which we have made contact with another universe, and he succeeded."
"And without the elder gods in his way, the emperor sought to invade your Earthrealm immediately" Kung Lao supplied.
"The elder gods would not lift a finger, they see this universe outside of their jurisdiction."
"That's…"
Takeru was speechless, he tried to form a response with the knowledge he had discovered, but nothing would come out of his mouth.
"We understand your disgust, young warrior," Jerrod offered. "The elder gods did not lift a finger even as they spelled my queen to do their bidding, kill me, and invade my realm of Edenia."
"The elder gods wouldn't have lifted a finger when they tried to invade my universe's Earthrealm, if not for Raiden, our Earthrealm's defender god." Kung Lao admitted.
"Now let us tell you of our vessel's powers."
----------
Takeru soon found himself, still descending at Ermac but Ermac was able to summon a green-tinted shield, soul energy, from what he had heard from Kung Lao and Jerrod.
Ermac summoned another shockwave from their person and blew Takeru away from them. They then teleported behind Takeru, who was about to be slammed to a wall, and kicked him.
"Takeru!"
Takeru heard Kung Lao's voice, as he flew towards the temple's wall, he risked drawing an eye in the air and seemingly forced it towards the mummified warrior.
A green orb was expelled out of Ermac as a small object fell from the sky and sucked the green orb in.
Takeru hit the wall, prompting him to see a yellow square with a myriad of symbols in the sky.
"Young warrior, are you okay?"
Takeru looked towards the person who rushed to him and he saw Alain, although the King of the Gamma world was dressed differently than his usual green and white ensemble.
Alain was wearing a sleeveless parka that exposed parts of his torso and a red headband that was tied to his forehead.
"Alain-sama?" Kanon asked, also untransformed.
"I'm not Alain-sama, I'm Kung Lao."
"Alain, that's the name of the person you're possessing," Makoto informed, also untransformed. "May we ask where you came from?"
"He's one of the souls Ermac had." Takeru struggled to stand.
"Sit down, Takeru, let me handle the emperor's construct." Kung Lao offered.
"No," Takeru denied the offer. "You just got freed from the prison that was Ermac, I don't know if he has the ability to pull you back in."
"But."
"I was wondering why you haven't used the Mugen Damashii." Makoto voiced out.
"I underestimated the enemy," Takeru admitted. "But no longer."
Takeru re-equipped the belt he had earlier on his person materialized a white trinket on his hand and placed it on his belt.
"Chou Kaigan! Mugen!"
Takeru's whole being transformed into a warrior in white everything. His suit from before turned white as Takeru himself donned a white parka.
As soon as the transformation was done, Kamen Rider Ghost rushed toward Ermac and pelted the mummified warrior with a lot of punches and kicks, some of which were blocked, dodged, or deflected.
Ermac soon kept up with Takeru's pace and was able to trade even blows against the white Rider.
It came to a point where Takeru and Ermac kicked each other's chests, and forced each other backward, undoing the monk's transformation and revealing his bruised and bleeding face and tattered clothes, whereas, Ermac was only knocked down and soon teleported away from where they lied.
Everyone rushed towards Takeru but before they could even ask the monk on how he was, he was raised by a yellow spotlight.
As he flew upwards, he saw a few monsters destroying some property then he saw a certain memory.
Three men were being led to a portal that led to a white castle, which suspiciously looked a lot like the Himeji castle in Osaka. He saw where the three men were being led to and were unceremoniously pushed into cells.
---------
When Takeru came to, he felt that a strong barrier was erected around the temple's grounds, and this included the cemetery. He knew that his father's soul was safe inside the Toucan Boost eyecon, but he couldn't say the same for the other souls.
Takeru shook his head as he got up and noticed that he was inside the temple, surrounded by Akari and the others.
Doctor Hojo, alongside Officer Tomari, was also inside the temple.
"Good, you're awake."
"What did the great eye say?" The old man sage questioned.
"They noticed the new threat, they figured we could make use of the eyecons once more," Takeru reported. "Hence they will be here so that we can make use of the eyecons whenever necessary."
"Just like what you did to Kung Lao's soul, earlier." Alain showed the Kung Lao eyecon he was holding.
"Does Ermac have that ability?" Makoto frowned.
"No, but someone above him in rank does." Takeru closed his eyes. "While I was battling Ermac earlier, I made contact with two of the souls that were trapped inside, Kung Lao and someone named Jerrod." He admitted. "They told me everything about these monsters that are invading our planet and how we need all the help we can get."
"Speaking of help, no one has been able to get a hold of any sentai team," Emu reported. "Not even the most recent teams, the Kiramagers or the DonBrothers, can be contacted."
"That's worrying." Shinnosuke frowned.
"The barrier around the temple is strong, I asked the assistance of the great eye to erect one around the temple, so that it won't breach the Gamma world and we have a base of operations."
"The Kamen Rider Club, alongside Kisaragi, would be evacuated here if that's alright," Shinnosuke asked. "I do not want to know what these invaders are going to use the power of cosmic energy if they get their hands on it."
"It's alright," Takeru nodded. "At the very least the Mugen Damashii is attuned to me and no one else."

My writing prompt for you today,
Hulk vs Thragg’s Viltrumite Empire!
The “Worldbreaker” vs the strongest alien race from the world of Invincible.
Viltrumites are essentially a weak combination of Kryptonians and Saiyans, they possess great power and get stronger every time they survive a near-death experience, but Hulk would smash them all!
Hulk can die, but he will always revive through the green door. Hulk and Bruce are an unstoppable force from Hell that can’t be caged so easily, unless they want to be.
If Thragg and his army were to try and fight Hulk, they might beat him by a thread, but Hulk would revive and finish them off before they could recover! They’d show Thragg who really is “the Strongest One There Is!”
Say Hulk ends up on the Viltrumite home planet and rampages, only to be seemingly killed by Thragg, who begins to berate his soldiers for failing to stop a mindless beast.
Thragg will then claim that it was easy for him to do so, since he’s “The strongest one there is” only for the not-so-mindless beast to get up, his wounds having healed and ask with a feral smirk, “You sure about that?” They then proceed to go all out, with Thragg’s empire being reduced to nothing but ashes and rocks, and he gazes upon the Green Goliath in shock, before his head is smashed open like a bloody piñata, ending his cruel reign upon the universe.
The dreaded roar of the Incredible Hulk echoed throughout the skies of the Viltrumite Homeworld. What is considered an omen and a sign to flee on Earth, to the race of conquerors, was a challenge. They charged toward the rampaging Green Goliath, who tore through them. He leaped into the air, tossing soldiers around like rag dolls; splattering the advanced city in their blood. The Hulk crash lands once more, pummelling through a horde of Viltrumites.
As the Hulk raises his bare foot over an injured Viltrumite, he was struck by a red & white, speeding blur. The jade giant bounced a few times, then is struck with a devastating left hook to his jaw. Hulk roared in anger, punching General Thragg. The murderous despot responds by driving his right fist into the Gamma Giant's chest, causing dark green blood to spew from his maw. The Hulk lay limp, seemingly dead. He drops to the ground, turning his glare to his soldiers.
"This was what gave you trouble?!" He points to the defeated beast, enraged at his soldiers. "I took him down easily, you weak pathetic wretches!" Thragg spat, berating those who fought for him, those who survived but had gruesome injuries from the battle. "It is to be expected for my victory to be swift. I am the strongest of this universe!"
"You? The strongest," the deep, guttural voice of the seemingly mindless beast spoke. The beast Thragg thought he had slain, The Hulk, rose up to his feet, his wounds closing up. "You sure about that?" The Green Goliath said with a smirk, his eyes glowing brightly.
General Thragg found himself struck with a heavy left hook to his jaw, being hurled away. The shockwave of the punch reduced the city around them to rubble. The soldiers around the pair were crushed and reduced to bloody, red mist. Hulk jumped after his opponent, and the Viltrumite stops himself from hurling wildly. He thrusts his left fist at the Monster, who launches his own at the conqueror. Their fists met, creating another destructive shockwave. The earth around them quaked, and the planet violently shook. Buildings came tumbling down, and Viltrumites who didn't flee were crushed underneath the ruination of the civilization.
They traded blow after blow, making Viltrum shake and tremble due to the aftermath of their fists meeting. Though, Hulk began to gain the upper hand, as Thragg became bloodied and beaten. The green-skinned beast grabbed the General, slamming him down onto the earth. He smashed his fists onto his torso, causing blood to spew from his maw over and over again. Thragg's vision was blurry, but he saw his empire crumbling down all around him. His body was battered and broken by what he thought was a mindless, dull creature. The General turned around, seeing the Hulk's fists raised once more. The last thing he saw was a blur of green, as his head was cracked open like a bloody piñata. Hulk roared in triumph, as his opponent lay dead in the ruins of his empire. His brutal reign upon the universe had come to an end.

It’s me again sorry about that 🤣 but I had a thought and maybe this has already been mentioned to you. Max mentions in 11x23 about how Pamela did the same thing before with the walkers to clear the streets (I hope I heard that part right) and that got me thinking of 10x03 I believe it was when TF was fighting horde after horde of walkers and they all thought it was Alpha’s doing and even questioned Lydia about it. What if those hordes was actually Pamela’s doing? Of course they didn’t know about the Commonwealth then but who knew if they knew about ASZ, Hilltop and Oceanside.
Yeah for sure. My fellow theorists and I have discussed that episode from S10 at length. Because it was purposefully never explained.
For those who don't remember, TF was fighting off wave after wave of walkers coming for Alexandria's gates. No one slept well for like 44 hours because of it, and they assumed Alpha was behind it. A good assumption, honestly. But when Gamma came to their gates, she insisted that it wasn't the Whisperers sending the waves of walkers. Alpha would have absolutely no reason to lie about that. In fact, more in line with her serial killer-like personality, I would assume she would be proud of it and go out of her way to take credit.
So, you're saying maybe the CW was sending them.
It's possible, but honestly, I think the CW is too far away from Alexandria, and Pamela just isn't cool enough to have that kind of forethought. She definitely moved the walker around with purpose in order to serve her own aims, but that was within the limited area of the CW.
If anything, I think the CRM was sending the walkers. I think it was a hint at bigger things going on in the bigger world, beyond what the scope of the flagship show covered. And of course there were parallels to Pamela and the CW, as you've pointed out. But I think they also used the CW storyline to foreshadow the CRM, so both S10 and S11 were foreshadowing what will happen hereafter.
Just my opinion. Make what you will of it. Xoxo! 🎄💗

💔: give a brief character bio of your 3-5 MCs
MCs for the Love and Thunder arc!
Prince Thor Odinsson - Thor hasn't been home in quite a while, instead he's been spending his time out in the galaxy with the Guardians and on his own. He's been homesick for a while and has decided to visit New Asgard to see his sister-in-law and nephew again.
King Sigyn Heimdallsdóttir - After the defeat of Jörmungandr, Sigyn was given over custody of the dragon's horde, which she has been using to upgrade the infrastructure of New Asgard and finally renovate the Great Hall with new rooms for her and her family.
Queen Loki Friggasson - Loki has settled quite well into his new role as Queen, and is enjoying the comforts of a domestic life with his beloved wife and son. He's been trying to atone for what he's done (and things he hasn't done but people associate him with), but he is in a tentative accord with the rest of the court.
Mayor Brunnhilde - After the first elections in Asgard's history, Brunnhilde was made mayor of New Asgard unanimously (because they didn't quite understand how elections work and no one else was put forward as a candidate). She's very happy being with Sif, but there are still pangs of regret and loss over the rest of the Valkyries.
Dr. Jane Foster - Jane was busy in her lab when she collapsed without warning. Dr. Lewis, her research partner, immediately got her to the hospital where Jane was diagnosed with stage 4 leukemia that had been developing since being exposed to the Aether and the large amount of gamma radiation that involved. She comes to New Asgard to seek an alternative course of treatment and finds something else entirely.
Thank you for the ask!

AI Experiment 11: XANA wins Biggest Douche in the Universe
The lights dimmed in the extravagant ballroom, the murmurs of anticipation swirling like champagne in crystal flutes. Demons from all sorts of realms clad in their finest threads rubbed elbows, their diamonds glinting in the soft, golden glow of the chandeliers. The atmosphere was electric, the air thick with excitement and the tang of expensive cologne. It was the night of the Biggest Douche in Existence Awards, and everyone wanted a piece of the infamous celebrity supervillain, XANA Thorndyke.
Once an ultra-super virus that advanced with each quantum reset he forced out of the heroes after every defeat his often lethal schemes are met with. His escape to the Internet from his Supercomputer prison resulting in a winning streak that ended with the explosive chain reaction with the Supercomputer bursting in the ageified smog, taking the senior citizombified planet Earth with it. XANA has since been nominated several times for his reign of cosmic horrors but not once has the self proclaimed Dan Schneider of Misery won the prize. Even when he had retired from Active Villainy and joined the Guild of Calamitous Intent's Council of Thirteen, his efforts prove fruitless... Until tonight.
He had hosted a special night of his reality game show 'Who Wants to be a Doombringer?' Where a contestant had reduced Dialgia and Palkia to eggs to serve as a battery for a cosmic power to reduce the champions of the Pokemon World to infancy so they can be gene-slammed into an army of Poke-Human hybrids to invade the Vulcan homework, only for Rick and Morty to combat the threat and narrowly escape defeat after a smorgasbord of casualties amongst the enslaved. The sight of a Lucario-Charizard hybrid Ash Kachum dying after dipping away his Pikachu who had been thunder-stone'd into a Raichu on top of getting gijinkafied was enough to get XANA nominated by the judges live on camera, resulting in the contestant he supplied with the title of Doombringer and twelve trillion dollars. As the presenter stepped up to the stage, the crowd erupted in deafening applause, their clapping hands stinging with anticipation. The presenter cleared their throat, the sound echoing through the ballroom like a gunshot. "And the nominees are, Quaglar the Destructor, Andromeda Galaxy, Planet J-11." XANA looked to the green-scaled Warlord and reached out saying: "May the best irredeemable monster win."
"Ahnkalan DeVrohs, Gamma Quadrant, Planet Pharlow." The vampiristic wasp-headed snake looked to her peers and smirked her sinister grin. "XANA Thorndyke, Milky Way Galaxy, Planet Earth." XANA took a confident bow, to both his fellow felons and to himself. "And finally, Morgana, the giant douche from the Horsehead Nebula, Station J-12."
XANA eyed the literal douche in the back row perplexed as to why Ursula's crazy sister made it to the ceremony. The presenter cleared their throat again, and the crowd hushed. "And the winner is..." They paused dramatically. "XANA Thorndyke, Milky Way Galaxy, Planet Earth!"The auditorium erupted into deafening applause, whistles, and shouts of joy as the presenter approached the newest Biggest Douche in Existence. "XANA, you've proven time and time again that you're the biggest douche in existence, and we're honored to finally have you join our ranks. Congratulations on your well-deserved award!" The presenter placed a sparkling golden trophy in the shape of a toilet plunger into XANA's open palm.
XANA stood before the crowd, acknowledging their adulation with a graceful bow. "You know, a deal's a deal. Long ago, when the only foes I had were the toys upon the Sattelite of Love, I vowed to walk away from public Villainy when I won this award. And while I still intend to cause pain and suffering behind the scenes, this victory means that now, I shall cast my age-ified horde into the great beyond."
A cannon shaped like his iconic emblem fired all of the souls he had ever turned into the light after death, the loud zapping noise alerting the detached souls in the afterlife to the apparent nothing after death and resulting in panic on the converor belt road beneath their metaphorical feet. "Thank you, my loyal subjects," he said, his voice echoing through the room. "I couldn't have done it without you. Together, we have brought misery and suffering to the furthest reaches of creation." There was a moment of silence as the crowd absorbed his words, and then a thunderous applause filled the air. XANA smiled, basking in their adulation. "But now, I must keep my promise. Though you will still see me on the Council of Thirteen and weeknights at 8 on Doombringer... my decades-long reign of terror ends here."
The applause died down, and the room began to quiet. XANA's expression grew solemn. "I leave you with one last piece of advice. Never underestimate the power of an opportunistic megalomaniac, no matter how small they may seem. They may one day return, stronger and more cunning than ever, to conquer and consume until the universe they invade is barren, lifeless and empty."
"I will not say do not cry..." Saruman muttered to the microphone. "...for not all tears are a sin."
"On my long career, I say this: To destroy an entire iteration of earth and its people is wicked, yes. But to revive them on a new earth with new people and new culture divorced from the canon prior... all to have the old get in the way of today." a sinister smile graced the virus' face. "That is new levels of woe for both populations oppressed."
"Let's hear it for him, folks!" XANA was then given a sash and a decorated crown as a gentleman in a suit sang in a harmonious voice:
Here he is, the Biggest Douche of the Universe!
In all the galaxies, there's no bigger douche than you!
You've reached the top, the pinnacle of douchedom!
Good going, douche. Your dreams have come true!

Addendum X-8 Part 1
After the incident with the anomalous leeches on the train as well as the disaster at the mansion, both of which were related to Group of Interest: The Umbrella Corporation, the Foundation decided to take action. First it was time to take down their main company within Raccoon City. To ensure maximum success since the last two mission nearly ended in failure given the number of casualties, multiple MTFs were deployed. A massive Joint Task Force was created it was called JTF Apollo-6 "Acid Rain" and was comprised of MTF Beta-7, MTF Gamma-5, MTF Delta-45, MTF Zeta-9, MTF Iota-10, MTF Lambda-12, MTF Pi-1, MTF Chi-7, MTF Apollo-4, and MTF Dyonsysus-1.
This operation was massive, but it had to be as Umbrella was a large corporation and had lots of mysterious and dangerous power within. Better to put all cards on the table and stop the threat that is Umbrella before it becomes an unkillable tyrant later like so many Groups of Interest.
***
Four cars and a Foundation escort truck were driving into the city each one besides the truck, were filled with MTF units. The car in back was the only one that had MTF units with their armor on as the others had MTF Pi-7 and were dressed the same as police officers of Raccoon City to help stabilize the situation. This car had a single Beta-7, Zeta-9, Lambda-12, and Chi-7 unit within the car. Due to the unpredictable nature that has been reported form the experiments of Umbrella Corporation by previous encounters, it was decided they would be needed as well. There was no doubt that Umbrella knew they were coming to Racoon City and were planning to escape by any means necessary.
"I wouldn't put it past those fuckers to unleash SCP-AAY onto the people to cover their asses."
"That would be stupid, the stuff is so infectious it can counter even Foundation medicine. Honestly gives me the creeps."
"Well not all medicine, apparently Brooklyn found that those weird plants can counter the virus."
"Oh yeah, her names Rebecca, right? Can't believe she found that out by superstition alone."
"I think you mean the Bloody Rabbit, everyone thought she was a pushover but after recruitment she proved to be a badass in her own right."
"Alright enough chit-chat, we're coming up on a gas station, the boss wants us to stop there while we radio the evocation team in the city. Apparently, there's some heavy interference and he wants to clear the signal and get confirmation on the status of the city before we proceed." The cars and truck start driving to the gas station though as they saw several police cars parked there as well.
"What the hell? Did we walk into a crime scene?"
"The world's ending but no one knows, can't blame em for still having to deal with the bullshit of everyday life. Let's just do our best to stay out of it." Just then, Leon showed up and was heading towards the entrance of the gas station. By doing so he stumbled across Claire and shot the zombie behind her.
"Woah what the hell?!"
"Who's firing?! Put your weapons down!"
"Argh!" All MTF units then turned to see one of them dragged over their car and now getting eaten by a horde of zombies. All MTF units quickly started firing on the zombies while Leon and Claire joined them to help.
"What the hell is going on?!"
"God damn it! This shouldn't be happening!"
"All units get to your cars and into the city! We have to go there now!" All MTF units did as ordered, though one of the MTF units noticed Claire and Leon quickly getting overwhelmed by zombies. He shot a few of them to clear a way and then waved to get their attention.
"Come on! Hurry!" He and another MTF unit continued shooting down zombies as they surrounded them. Finally, Claire and Leon made it to the car, and the MTF units got in after them. The driver then stomped on the gas, and they drove out of there.
"All units this is the captain! We have confirmed two casualties! Repeat, two casualties! Does anyone refute?"
"Negative Captain no further casualties reported here?"
"Uh, Captain we do have two civilians with us in the rear."
"Uh, actually I'm a cop at-"
"Quiet."
"Alright then, everyone! Begin recording! As of this moment the operation is starting. We still haven't heard anything from the units within the city so unfortunately, we're going to have to assume the worst. But that doesn't deny that we still have a mission and there are still civilians to be saved. So, let's get this done."
"Yes Sir!"

Plague: Alright its recording Boss.
Death: Good, get those civies processed just in case.
Unknown: Uh, as I was trying to say I-
Plague: Hold on one second... Okay now one at a time say out loud what you'd prefer to be called.
Unknown: Uh... Leon?
Plague: Oh come on... okay... okay got it. Now you ma'am.
Unknown: Oh uh...
Plague: God damn it, please JUST say your name!
Unknown: Ah-! Sorry I just don't understand-
Plague: MA'AM! NAME! NOW!
Unknown: Claire!
Plague: Jesus! Was that really so hard?!
War: Give it a rest Plague their civilians they don't understand what's going on so go easy on them, okay? For fucks sake.
Leon: Okay as I've been trying to explain I'm a cop! Though I'm new, I was stationed at Raccoon City, today is... supposed to be my first day.
Famine: ... Sorry man, sounds rough, but in our line of work you count as a civilian too.
Claire: Do any of you understand what's going on here?
Death: Your guess is as good as ours, we were just supposed to help with evacuating the city. We expected disaster but nothing like this.
Claire: Evacuation for what?
Famine: That's classified ma'am.
Claire: Hm. So, your all military then? I've never seen those kinds of armor or symbols on the military before. What's your division called?
Death: That's also classified. No more questions.
Claire: I have a right to ask.
Death: No one's denying that ma'am, but for now you're just going to have to be satisfied when we say, its classified.
Claire: Hm... Fine...
Leon: Uh, so what's the plan now then?
Death: We lost contact with people inside the city, we need to find them and figure what's going on as well as what's up with all the zombies.
Plague: If we can find out what's going on we can get you two to a safe area where all the other civilians are and take control of the situation before things get worse.
Leon: Let me know if I can help, I know you think I'm a civilian, but I can help.
Death: ... We'll let you know sir, for now just sit tight, we still need to assess the situation.
***
The team drove into the city, they later confirmed they saw the streets being completely abandoned. There were no people, no law enforcement, no Foundation agents, not even zombies.
Claire: Where is everyone?
Famine: Probably dead.
Everyone looked at Plague in anger, though Clare being without a helmet, was the one who Plague noticed the most.
Famine: What?! Not a lot of conclusions to go off of.
Death: Zip it Plague, now's not the time for jokes.
Famine: Wasn't trying to make one. But sorry Boss.
Claire: Pestilence?
Death: Code names, we're meant to use them for the duration of the mission ma'am.
Claire: Why?
War: Don't know, higher ups are always paranoid like that.
Death: Shit, still though, we're pretty deep in the city where is everyone.
Plague: I'm going to try the radio again. Evac team this is Rescue Squad 3-5 ready to receive orders, over... Evac team! This Rescue Squad 3-5, we've been attacked by SCP-AAY-1 instances. Containment is a failure, repeat containment is a failure we need an update on your end now! Over.
Claire: Wait containment? Did you know this was going to happen.
Plague: Shut the fuck up its classified! Evac team come in!
Evac Team: Re... Report...
Plague: Evac Team! I hear you but you're breaking up! What is your status?!
Evac Team: Umbrella... Knew... Resistance... Infection... Entire City... Lost... Survivors... Police Station... Overrun!
Plague: Evac Team say again, what is the status of the Police Station? Are you at the Police Station? Over... Evac Team are their survivors? Over... God damn it!
Death: Its alright Plague give it a rest; we need to go to the police station anyways. According to our sources that place was designed to be the safest area to go to anyways.
Leon: Uh that might be easier said than done.
Everyone looked forward and sure enough there was a road blockaded preventing them all from advancing.
Leon: Guess we're walking.
Claire: Uh, more like running.
Claire pointed out of the windows to show a pair of zombies eating a corpse.
Famine: Fuck... Called it though.
Death: Alright everyone out of the car now, you two stay in here, don't come out until we give the all clear.
Leon: I can help sir.
Death: Watch our backs then, make sure none of those undead freaks ambush us.
Suddenly zombies popped up all around the car and started banging on the doors to get in.
War: Got damn it! Everyone hand on I'm going to reverse and ram these freaks!
Plauge: Boss! We got a bogie heading right towards us!
Everyone in the car turned to the back window to see the lights of a large truck heading right toward them at high speed.
Death: Fuck! Everyone, hang on!
They all braced as the truck impacted the car. The resulting impact did damage the car but thanks to it being reinforced with Foundation metals it survived the impact and managed to break through the blockade boarders. Recording is briefly interrupted by the impact but picks up after all six participants leaving the car. Though according to Captain Death, the oil tank in the truck exploded nearly killing everyone present.
Recording resumes.
Leon: HEY! You guys okay?!
Claire: Ugh, yeah beaten up a little but fine.
War: Fuck! Hostiles!
War and Death pull out their pistols and start firing, Famine gets his assault rifle, and Plague her SMG. They start shooting at the zombies surrounding them and protecting Claire and Leon.
Claire: Just go to the police station I'll meet you there.
Death: Oh no you don't!
Death walked up to the burning car and started kicking it out of the way, so the two groups weren't separated anymore.
Claire: How- How did you do that?
Death: ... It's classified, now move your ass.
Claire sighed in anger as she ran with the rest of the group. Now together then formed a small circle to started shooting at the zombies.
Death: War! How far from the police station.
War: Uh... go there's a short cut through an alleyway... there!
Death: Everyone, follow him!
The group moves down the alleyway while the MTF units continue to gun down the zombies that follow them. Thankfully when out of the alleyway they quickly find the police station though there are more zombies, so the MTF units shoot as many as possible while running around the rest. Once they get past the front gates, Claire locked it and they all managed to calm down now that they are in a safe area.
Death: God, fuck... the situation is more fucked than I thought.
Plague: I don't understand, with the Evac team here, they would have alerted us right away. How could this have happened without us knowing?
Death: Let's find out, come on, everyone in the station.
The six of them entered the station, upon doing so they were immediately confronted with armed individuals. Three of which were local police forces, one was a civilian, and the other two were fellow MTF units.
Unknown: Oh fuck, you guys aren't Zombies.
Unknown: Or those umbrella bastards, thank god.
Death: Everyone, stand down. We're on the same side.
They all collectively let out a sigh of relief as they lowered their guns.
Unknown: Alright, all of you get in here.
The four units with Claire and Leon entered the police station and the two other MTF units closed the door.
Death: Alright I need a situation update. What the hell is going on and why weren't we updated?
Unknown: Here let us link up first. It will help with the recordings.
Plague: Oh, let me I got the main recorder here.
Unknown: Perfect.
Plague walked up to the MTF unit and showed him her Foundation Computer Screen Pad and he linked it up with his own. Claire and Leon saw the device and was shocked by it.
Water: Alright linked up now. That better?
Plague: Yeah perfect.
Death: Alright good, we can review your recordings later but right now we need the basic run down.
Claire: Yes, please. Though I would like to know more details.
Water looked at Claire in confusion then Death who shrugged in annoyance.
Clare: Uh, Claire Redfield I'm a journalist, or I mean trying to be one.
Fire: Oh, great not another one.
Claire: Okay, look I know this is some kind of military operation but there are lives at stake here, so I think the public has a right to know what's going on here.
Alyssa: Don't bother, they'd shoot you before they say anything.
Claire then turned to Alyssa who walked up to her.
Alyssa: Alyssa Ashcroft, Newspaper Journalist for Raccoon City. I tried interviewing these guys wondering how they knew to evacuate most of the people. Who exactly were those people who tried to kill us were. AND why the city was being flooded with what appears to be mutant monsters and people who can make fire form the palm of their hands but every time I ask they say-
Alyssa then pointed to Fire who was standing beside her.
Fire: ... Its classified.
Alyssa: See? They're not going to talk no matter what we do.
Death: In that case you know I'm not going to get a situation report until you clear the room.
Alyssa: Yeah, yeah. Come with me.
Alyssa then led Claire and Leon to the away to the main hall while the six MTF units and three RC police stayed.
Water: Yeah, don't worry about these guys we already debriefed them. Had to under Protocol "Join or Die" given the situation.
Death: Yeah, I figured. So, what's the situation.
Water: We're from Evac Team 2-1. We're a seven-unit team. Code names: Air, Water, Fire, Earth, Lightning, Light, Darkness. We uh... We lost Air and Darkness, Air being our captain so as his second I'm in command now.
Death: What about Doctor Wicked? Didn't he volunteer to oversee this operation?
Fire: Nah, the doc ran off earlier, he was helping this lady run away from this large monster. I think it was an SCP-AAY-5 instance.
Plague: Seriously?
Water: Yeah, their all over the city, each one's different form the other though so we've mainly just tried to keep our distance. We lost quite a few civilians and other MTF units to them. Its actually because of the one chasing the doc that we got delayed on the evacuation. I think the others made it out okay though.
Famine: How long has this been going on?
Fire: Ugh, the entire day! I don't know what happened but as soon as the sun started going down the police and hospitals started reporting riots. There were people killing and dying everywhere. It slowed down the evacuation when we were only 27% done. Then... Then we found out it wasn't riots, people were turning into SCP-AAY-1 instances and fast. The hospitals and staff were the first to fall, our units and the police were scattered so we didn't know what was going on.
Water: Then things got worse, umbrella choppers flew over the city deploying those SCP-AAY-5 instances everywhere. They were killing MTF units and civilians left and right. We only took down one or two of them at best. Actually, I don't even think we got them, more like just temporarily weakened them. I heard they tend to come back stronger when injured.
Elliot: Then those Umbrella Bastards started sending people in high tech suits to kill even more people. There were guys in big robot armor, one's that were practically indestructible, there was even an invisible asshole or two. It was a slaughterhouse at that point. Worst off they set-up jamming signals all across town completely cut us off from the outside world.
Plague: So that's why we couldn't contact you.
Water: Yeah, sorry about that by the way, if we could, we would have warned you. Without communications, those of us that could get out of the city did almost immediately. Everyone else had to find somewhere to hold down and that's why we are here. The sad thing is there are probably still people out there but with the zombies flooding the streets, SCP-AAY-5 instances blocking all the main roads, and Umbrella mercenaries watching over the rooftops It's hard to say if we can ever find them let alone get out ourselves.
Famine: So basically, we're fucked.
Elliot: Not entirely, I found this earlier, I think it's a map to a secret passageway out of here. Though we got to be careful. Only the main hall of the station is safe, the rest of the building is crawling with those things.
Death: Fuck, okay I'll try to find a way to reach this passageway, once I'm sure it's safe to go through I'll give the signal and you can follow through. From there we'll resume the evacuation operation and get these people out of here.
Elliot: Oh, thank God, I almost died several times because of those monsters.
Water: Don't go crying freedom yet Elliot, we don't even know if this passage works. Good luck Death. Let me know if you need me or any of my squad units or any other resources we have before you go. We got more people back there so feel free to select any extra helping hands. Some of them are just civilians but I tell ya, they are SURVIVORS.
Death: ... I'll keep that in mind.
***
The following is another recording form several of the MTF units form the Evac Team. The recording consists of the conversation between Claire, Leon, and various other survivors.
Claire and Leon had just entered the back part of the Main hallway where they are shocked to see lots of survivors some of which are injured with MTF medics trying to treat them and other MTF units standing guard as a precaution.
Claire: What is this?
Alyssa: What's left of the rotting corpse that is Raccoon city.
Leon: I don't understand, this is all that's left after a week?
Alyssa: After a day, this morning everything was just fine then these guys showed up to evacuate everyone. Problem was that's when the riots started, people started eating each other, then everyone started panicking and there were even people flying away or turning their skin into glass.
Leon and Claire looked at Alyssa in confusion, but she nodded with confidence.
Alyssa: I swear I'm not lying! All of it, I tried to confirm with other people and they either got different stories or ones more insane than my own.
Claire: So, they knew this was going to happen?
Alyssa: Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. I wish I knew sweetie, but unfortunately the men in black just aren't budging when it comes to information.
Leon: They're not saying anything?
Alyssa: Nope, I even tried threatening a lawsuit against the US military, wanna know what they said in response... Nothing they just laughed. Then when I threatened to link all of this to the US military after we get rescued, they laughed harder. Can you believe that I threatened to expose this as a US government conspiracy, and they still think of me as a joke.
Claire: Is that really what you believe? That this is related to the US government?
Alyssa: ... No, this whole situation has got Umbrella corruption written all over it. I knew that pharmaceutical company couldn't be trusted but I never expected this level of chaos... I was just expecting unethical experiments and intentionally poisoning customers to make them dependent on the company's product. Though zombies, monsters, mutants, and mercenaries... Well, I would call it the scoop of a century if it wasn't for the fact that I would sound like a lunatic to publish it and these damn soldiers won't confirm anything.
Claire: Hmph, yeah, I noticed that, but right now there's only one thing I want to confirm.
Claire then walked up to one of the guarding MTF units. He noticed her and faced her with confusion.
Claire: I want to know where my brother is, his name is Chris Redfield.
The MTF visibly shook at the sound of Chris's word but quickly looked away from Clare.
Earth: I'm afraid any information regarding Chris Redfield is classified.
Claire: What?! Why?! He's my brother I have a right to know where he is!
Earth: Ma'am I'm afraid the information is classified to even me. It isn't just that I will NOT give you the information, I simply CAN'T.
Claire raised her hands a little in anger and simply huffed as she walked away.
Marvin: Excuse me! Did you say you were looking for Chris?
Claire then noticed Marvin who had a visible bite on the lower right side of his stomach. He was being treated by one of the MTF medics. Claire walked up to him to ask more questions.
Claire: Are you alright?
Marvin: One of those things bit me... worst part was, it was somebody I knew.
Claire: I'm so sorry, do you know what those things are? I mean, they can't actually be zombies, right?
Marvin: Sorry to tell you, but that's exactly what they are. And I'm gonna be one in a few hours.
Earth: Don't talk like that Marvin, I can save you I just need more time. Please give me your arm.
Earth got out an injection gun and held out his other hand to take Marvin's.
Marvin: You're wasting that medicine on me.
Earth: Yeah, nice excuse, come on don't be a baby.
Marvin chuckled and gave his arm to Earth, who injected the medicine into him. He started coughing afterwards.
Earth: That's a minor side effect, your throat will be dry for a little while, but it will get better until then stay hydrated.
Claire: He's going to be okay right?
Marvin: Don't worry about me.
Marvin coughed some more; Earth handed him a water bottle to which he took a large drink out of.
Marvin: Ah... Okay, so you wanted to know about Chris? Chris Redfield, right?
Claire: Yes, he's my brother.
Marvin: Is that right? Huh... Think I see the resemblance. Don't worry, that's not an insult.
Claire: Haha, yeah everyone feels the need to specify that. So uh, he's supposed to be a member of S.T.A.R.S. that means he's here right is he safe?
Marvin: Well-
Earth: Marvin! Don't.
Claire: Oh come on not you too, look he's my brother!
Earth: And he already made his choice.
Claire: What does that mean? And don't you dare say its classified!
Earth: ... It's Classified.
Claire: Ugh! You can't treat civilians like this! Do you honestly think the US government is going to get away with withholding this much information!
Earth was about to say more but Marvin raised his hand to stop him from speaking.
Marvin: Relax, I'm just going to say what I know, and I barely know anything.
Earth: ... Be as vague as possible. Or else things will get ugly for both of you.
Earth then walked away to let the two of them talk. Claire got close to Marvin so they could speak without being heard.
Claire: Okay be as specific as possible, where is my brother.
Marvin: Sorry Claire but I'm not being vague by choice. All I know is he got recruited into some mission in Europe he said it was a vacation, but it didn't seem like he had a choice.
Claire: ... So he's not in the city.
Marvin: Yeah, sorry you had to come to this hell hole in order to find that out.
Claire: No, it's okay, I'm glad he's alive. But are you sure you don't know where he is.
Marvin: Nah, those men in black wouldn't tell us anything.
Claire: Tch, these soldiers love their secrets huh?
Marvin: Huh? No, no, I meant the ones with Chris, they were standing with him seemingly watching over him or something.
Claire: What? Did you recognize them? Were the military representatives?
Marvin: No, worse actually, there were UN agents.
Claire: What?! What does the UN want with Chris?!
Marvin: Ssssh! Look I don't know, they were just with him and escorted him out when he broke the news with us. He said he was also going to tell you so we didn't have to worry about you. You never got a message or anything?
Claire: No... Still... The UN? Hey!
An MTF unit who just happened to be passing by looked at Claire as she called him out.
Claire: Are you UN soldiers?
The MTF unit just starred at he for a short while then snorted and quickly started laughing, afterwards he walked away.
Marvin: Yeah, get used to that. Other's kept trying to ask questions too but got nothing no matter what they said. Ironically, they ended up spilling everything to Elliot and the others because they didn't ask ANY questions. Unfortunately, I think they agreed to some kind of secrecy so good luck getting anything out of them either.
Claire: Ugh, god damn it what the hell is going on.
Leon: Hey!
Leon then walked up to the two of them after noticing Marvin.
Leon: You're the Lieutenant! I was... I was supposed to report to you.
Marvin: Oh yeah... Leon Kennedy, right? Your late rookie, thought given the shit show that occurred today I think it would have been better had you not shown up at all.
Leon: No, I'm not going to leave when you could use all the help you can get.
Marvin: Glad to hear it, these boys are definitely going to need your help getting these civilians out of here.
Leon: Yeah, it looks like you could use a hospital.
Marvin: No, look at me Leon, I'm already dead.
Earth: Enough with that talk, you're going to make it Marvin. I think I almost got you.
Earth came back with his Foundation medical case; he placed it next to Marvin and took out a pill and an injection vial.
Earth: Here take this pill first.
Marvin looked at Earth still thinking the medicine was wasted on him, but he did as Earth asked and took it.
Marvin: Augh, the wound doesn't hurt but its damn itchy now.
Earth: Yeah, that's a side effect sorry, but here this should help.
Earth then placed the injector on Marvin's leg, and he was quickly filled with the medicine.
Earth: Alright, how do you feel now?
Marvin: Ugh, a little... woah, a little hyper, like my heart's beating pretty fast should this be-?
Suddenly screaming can be heard from the other side of the room, an MTF medic backs away from one of the medical beds and everyone sees a zombie chasing after him. They all scream for in terror, but the medic shoots the zombie in the head three times, and it fall to the ground now dead. The MTF unit cussed out in anger while everyone else was silent out of shock. However, Marvin grunts in pan as his bandages starts bleeding.
Earth: What?! No, no, no! Shit!
Earth grabs a green spray bottle form his case and a small Band-Aid paper. He sprays it onto the paper, rips off Marvin's Band-Aid, and slaps that on his wound to prevent it from getting worse. He then grabs more band-aid and warps it around Marvin's waist to cover the bite wound.
Earth: Fuck, SCP-AAY is eating the cells faster than I can regenerate them, what the hell. How the fuck should I-
Marvin then grabbed Earth's arm to force him to look him in the eyes.
Marvin: I'm not telling you again, you're wasting your damn medicine, now end it before I hurt somebody.
Leon: Woah, wait Lutenant, maybe you should let him try at least to-
Marvin: Stay out of this rookie! I am not the priority! Earth, are you really going to risk the lives off all these people for my sake? You saw that other medic, he only got lucky when he had to shoot his patient! Don't make his mistake and just get it over with!
Earth: ... I can't Marvin, I'm under orders to try everything to save you. If we can find out what works to cure you, we can do it again to cure everyone else. Or at least stop the rest of us form being infected.
Marvin: ... Fine, but you're wasting your damn time.
Earth sighed and left to check on their supply stash they had in the room, but Clair walked up to him and grabbed his arm.
Claire: So that's it? He's a guanine pig?!
Leon: Claire, wait!
Claire: No! These people are crossing too many lines what the hell is SCP-AAY and what is going on? How can a medic treat his patients like a test subject during a pandemic. What even is this pandemic! Give us some answers goddamn it. You really think just because you're involved with the UN that you can walk over us like this!
Earth: ... if you hate the UN so much then why don't you report them then.
Claire just looked at Earth confused while he just walked away, she then caught Alyssa staring at her. Alyssa shrugged and sat on one of the couches. Claire and Leon then sat with her.
Leon: I don't understand, how can they be so fearless of repercussions there should at least be one person that takes charge to ensure everyone is calm.
Mark: Yeah, you'd think.
The four of them then notice Mark walking towards them.
Alyssa: Oh, and here we have Mark Wilkins, Vietnam War veteran and now hard worker of one of the top security companies of Raccoon City. Met him in a bar when the chaos started, thought he was a jackass at first for forcing a reporter like me to hold a gun, but he turned out to be a total sweety afterwards.
Mark: Hm, you always know exactly how to get under someone's skin huh Alyssa?
Alyssa: Ha, you know you'd take a bullet for me.
Leon: So uh, are you all the only survivors left in the city?
Mark: Probably not but there's no way to make contact with the others.
Claire: Let me guess they haven't bothered trying.
Alyssa: No, they've been trying all day. They really do want to save as many as they can.
Claire: Really? Cause other than the medics I'm not getting that vibe. Though even that's a stretch, you saw how that other medic shot the guy?
Alyssa: He didn't have a choice sweetie, once you turn there's no going back.
Claire: But how do you know if the soldiers aren't telling us anything?
Alyssa: I get answers without asking. I just observe them and see what they do, how they react to certain situations, what the commonly do, how each individual contributes or lack thereof. You'd be surprised how you can get so much form so little. Like how Mark could tell that these guys are not military.
Mark: It wasn't easy to tell, they got the training to both take down hostiles and save civilians. They just do it while having absolutely no social skills. These guys don't know how to keep the peace at all, only how to maintain order. They're like a trained army for a dictator.
Leon: You really don't think their military?
Mark: No, or at least not a company I've ever seen before. I mean they got military patches, but I've never seen those symbols before. But then again, it's been a while since I served so they could just be new.
Alyssa: Or maybe a secret reserve that only exists for special situations like this one, ever thought of that.
Mark: No, I'm not indulging in that conspiracy theory bullshit. I hate that crap, saying Bigfoot is real and shit.
Suddenly one of the MTF units froze up when he heard "bigfoot" and suddenly started at Mark. The four of them noticed the MTF unit staring at them before he stopped and walked away.
Leon: What the hell was his problem?
Alyssa: ... Call me crazy but I think that proves it.
Mark: No, he was probably just confused, thinking I was going crazy or something, though I feel like that's not impossible given the circumstances.
Death: Alright listen up!
All the survivors and MTF units froze and saw Death with her units and the other police officers.
Death: We got a way out of here but we're not sure it will work. Now I got a team of four units but that may not be enough. No, I'm only offering this to people who are really desperate enough. Do you want to get out of here now and risk getting bit by those things or would you rather wait here and hide. I won't lie, things aren't looking good so staying here should be the best option for most of you.
Leon: I'll go.
Death: ... Alright who else, I can only fit one more volunteer!
Claire: Me! I'll go!
Leon: Claire?!
Mark: Hey what are you doing?
Claire: Getting answers... without asking.
Alyssa: Ha, smart. Good luck and watch your back, those disgusting zombies aren't the only horrors out there.
Death: Tch, alright you can come to, but leave any conflict to us, you two are to act as observers only. Help us find any clues to escaping this place if you can.
Claire and Leon nodded and went with Death and her group to the sealed off entrance to the place where the map in the book pointed too.
Death: Alright this should be it, you all ready? Alright let's get this done.
Death pulled the lever to the door and the shutters opened. War and Plague entered first and waved to the rest of them after confirming no hostiles in sight.
Death: Good, let's move!

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Preview (Steam Early Access)
Tumblr media
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Preview, a single-player survivor-like auto-shooter. Wield the full arsenal of Deep Rock Galactic, take on hordes of lethal aliens, mine riches, and unlock powerful upgrades. It's one dwarf against all of Planet Hoxxes!
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Preview Pros:
- Decent graphics. - 1.95GB Download size. - Steam achievements. - Full controller support. - Graphics settings - display, display mode, resolution, anti-aliasing, v-sync, max frame rate, gamma, and render scale slider. - Milestones act like the game's own in-game achievements and give rewards. (you can see the reward beforehand) - Four Dwarf types with the scout the only one unlocked initially. - The game plays like a Vampire Saviours wherein you don't control what and when you shoot your weapons, hitting a loot bug and mining happens automatically when you come into contact with them. - Each location in an area has five levels where getting into the pod takes you to the next level. - Each level has a bar and as you kill bugs it fills up and triggers events such as the elite bugs (needed to end the level and trigger the pod), events such as swarms and helpful pod drops with a level-up item in it. - Earn exp by picking up the fragments that drop from enemies and level up. - Each time you level up you get to choose one of three random upgrades (optional re-roll paying with collected gold) - Selecting the same gun in a level up levels guns level up and as you upgrade the gun the better it gets but also eventually you unlock the ability to add modifiers and perks to the weapon. - You have two weapons and a grenade type for a base load out. - Plays on an isometric view. - Very impressive stressful enemy count on screen. - Feels very polished, especially for performance. - The game is highly addictive as finishing and starting runs very quickly. - You keep collected gems/ore and it's used as currency to buy permanent state upgrades. - Unlock new weapons and items to have them possibly appear in future runs. - The final level of a location is a huge boss encounter. - When the pod is triggered (after you kill the elite/boss) you have 30 seconds to get in it or you are left behind. - Every character you unlock plays completely differently. - Mining helps you create your routes, tactics, and strangle points in a level. - You get random optional side missions for extra rewards. - In between location areas, you can spend red crystals and gold on upgrades in the shop. - Red candy heals you when collected. - You can see the ores and minerals clearly before mining them. - You have a mini-map that fills in as you play. - The game allows you to play how you want, for example, you could go in and just focus on leveling up a particular gun to unlock perks and buffs to it for later runs. - Artifacts are given from the supply pod that drops and are bigger item buffs like a chance to find gold when mining or knock enemies back etc. - Loot bugs can be mined for loot. - Has satisfying noises and sounds. - Three unique locations to unlock each with a handful of areas and stages. - Enviromental hazards. - Clear easy-to-read user interface and Hud. - You can pause the game. - The controls could not be simpler. - All level perks have a rarity level and show what they do. - When the boss or elite is spawned the bugs grow in strength and numbers as you let time pass. - You have a voice-over guy who helps but also gets progressively annoyed when you take too long. - Your character will do shout-outs randomly. - Every run is random. - Elemental attacks can be equipped, usually from mods on weapons and grenades you can do such elements as kinetic and lightning. - Any bug with a health bar above its head drops more eco fragments. - Different bug types like spitters, flying and even exploding ones. - You are always making progress whether it be collecting X amount of minerals levelling up a gun to 12 to enable mods in the future or just getting gold and valuable Intel. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Preview Cons: - No tutorials. - You cannot change any controller settings. - Slow starter as the default class and weapons/upgrades are not ideal and it keeps the slow pace. - No camera control which sometimes can get annoying. - A slight crack between two areas makes it unpassable despite clearly looking fine. - Very addictive and can cause a loss of productivity in other tasks in life and render you a roguelike zombie. - Only a small pool of enemy types until the later locations. - You get the same two or three bonus materials. - Doesnt have a hub area which is very poignant in the original game. - Trying to remember which material is for which upgrade. - All the locations are unlocked and their requirements are not clear. Things I love about Eternals (2021) #12: - Everything about how Ajak is drawn, ESPECIALLY her biceps - Makkari touching Ajak soothing and vibrating in something akin to morse code. It’s a really neat idea, kinda sapphic, and also I’m really loving the Makkari/Ajak dynamic in this series in general and how that comes on the heels of Ajak having previously murdered Makkari out of jealous, offended faith because a Celestial chose to speak to Makkari instead of Ajak, who is the one they typically talk to and devoted thousands of years to learning their language. . . - Which leads to the other thing I love here, Ajak’s horrible revelation about the Celestials and the truth of how their cosmology is actually arranged (that the Deviants are the really important ones in the scheme of things, and the Eternals were created by the Celestials just to cull them a bit when they get out of hand so they don’t destroy themselves, rather than the Eternals being the “successful” creation of the Celestials and the Deviants the failure) and her ANGER at it, her ANGER at these gods she spent unfathomable amounts of time devoted to - Sersi being Sersi with Namor, she’s so fabulous. I also really like her speech to the Avengers, not because I agree with it but because I enjoy it when the Eternals really do act like hyper-evolved immortals with a mission and concerns beyond humanity, not like humans with powers. I especially like that this comes from Sersi, a very “human” Eternal, rather than the one of the more obviously detached ones like Ajak, because it remind us that while Sersi definitely has fun just being a socialite in her day to life, but she is still an Eternal and has an according perspective on things.  - Druig being Druig. Omfg I love this guy and I REALLY love him in this series, Gillen def writes my favorite Druig.  What I don’t like is, of course, that the revelation about the Deviants and WHY they’re actually the important ones and how that connects to mutants---to all biological life native to Earth, it turns out---is directly setting us up for the Eternals turning their attention to mutants and Krakoa, which Druig does at the very end. I also. . . I super duper do love Ajak’s arc as a true believer on a questioning path that culminates when she gets answers she doesn’t like, I really do, I am SO here for that, but also the whole “it turns out the Celestials had different plans/aims than what the Eternals thought and now the Eternals are upset about it” has been done. All the Eternals literally committed MASS SUICIDE a few years ago (they got better) because of a related revelation. I hope this doesn’t become the new “Charles Xavier WASN’T such a saint after all, he had a DARK SECRET!” deal that gets done over and over for increasingly little shock value.  There’s also the fact that like. . .understanding why the Eternals get so upset over these revelations is REALLY hard to relate to because they’re not really terrible things? The uber super horrible reveal that made them all kill themselves as a species was that, if I understand it right which I might not because all this lore is REALLY complex and convoluted, but. . .
Before life ever began on Earth, a dying Celestial came here. It was dying because it was infected by The Horde, an insect-like race who are like the Celestials equal-opposites. It perished here, and its sickness seeped into the Earth, along with the rotting flesh and blood of the so-called space god. The entire planet became diseased, and the infected brewed for millions of years, until the first life on Earth emerged from it. According to Loki, this is why Earth is “so uniquely eccentric within the near-infinite planets strewn across the heavens”  and “you and all your mutated, gamma-irradiated, web-slinging ilk” exist today—we’re the bacteria bred from the death of a god, and that’s why everything is so bugfuck nuts on this planet. Deep, huh? But what does that have to do with the Eternals, who were deliberately created by other Celestials much later?
Well, for some reason that I don’t understand because I didn’t want to slog through the whole run, the Celestials who came later looked at the genetic makeup of humans after they created us, and saw the potential for us to basically be their antibodies against the Horde. So they created the Eternals to basically cultivate us, to ensure our numbers thrived and grew. I don’t know exactly what using us as medicine would entail, because, again, I just couldn’t bring myself to read everything in this, but for whatever reason, they just. . .never explained this to Eternals. And so when the Eternals suddenly all found out in 2018 that their true purpose had been hidden all along, they committed mass suicide. Yeah. All of them. Thena, Sersi, Ikaris, Makkari, everybody. I don’t totally understand why this was that upsetting to them, maybe the way the Celestials intended to use humanity involved our deaths and I just missed that, but yeah. They just all killed themselves in 2018. Again, maybe I’m missing something, PLEASE tell me, but that seems to be why they all offed themselves. And likewise, finding out “oh actually the Deviants are the ones important to evolving life on this planet, and Eternals are just there to help them by pruning the population so they don’t make themselves extinct, like hunters with deer” is like. . .it is a change to their cosmology/faith/understanding of why the Celestials made them, and I understand it’s meant as a Big Fucking Deal to Ajak, but from a human perspective it’s just really hard to get too invested in the “betrayal” of one’s gods when that betrayal is basically “oh yeah those people you thought you were superior to all this time? actually you are not, you were made for THEM” and that also makes for a REALLY unsympathetic motive for them going into the mutant conflict thing. And I am not looking forward to have fandom reacts to that, given how fandom reacted to the Inhumans vs X-Men deal. Like, if you’re gonna come for mutants, you need the most sympathetic motive possible, and “well we were made to correct excess deviation, mutants qualify because it turns out the Deviants deviation spreads to other life forms and this is a good thing actually but does need to be controlled and that’s where we come in and we’ve decided mutants qualify and Krakoa is an excess deviation” is. . .not gonna cut it for readers, and Eternals will probably become taboo to like in fandom. But: AJAK’S ARMS!! HER ARMS YOU GUYS!! HER ARMS!!!
