#I don't know how old anyone is other than the twins and Obi-Wan

RotJ makes a point of letting us know that Leia is Luke's sister, they've known this on some level for a long time, and he probably cares more about her than anyone in the world because this gives so much more weight to his conflict at the end of the movie, and I think this is a huge thing people overlook when they argue that him redeeming his father represents a rejection of the old Jedi ways of non-attachment. Because in the moment he has to let go of Leia and his friends to be able to actually save Anakin.
When Obi-Wan tries to convince Luke that he has to kill Vader and there's no other way, he doesn’t really discuss it as an issue of Luke having an attachment to him. I think he knows this isn't really the Jedi way but just like in the previous war, they don't seem to be faced with any good choices. Obi-Wan believes what Luke wants is truly impossible and, having failed to stop Vader when he could have before, of course he's trying to stop Luke from making the same mistake.
But it's significant that in the same conversation, Obi-Wan does warn him that his love for his sister could be made a liability if he's not careful. When Luke learns he has a twin and reveals how strong a connection he feels with Leia because he doesn't even have to be told who it is, Obi-Wan's response sets up how this will play into the climax of the film:
"Your insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down, Luke. They do you credit, but they could be made to serve the Emperor."
Then when Luke is brought to Sidious, he reveals to Luke that the Rebellion is walking right into a trap as a way to torment and provoke him. Luke gets angrier and angrier while helplessly watching the fleet get ambushed and finally does just what Sidious wants and tries to attack him. But it's Vader specifically threatening Leia that makes Luke totally lose control of his feelings and fight him in a rage.
Luke is basically facing the same kind of test he failed so badly in ESB by running off to help his friends. When Yoda is trying to make him see he's not ready to face Vader and keep him from going to Bespin, he says something that I think is such an underrated quote in its importance to Luke's whole journey:
"Decide you must how to serve them best. If you leave now, help them you could, but you would destroy all for which they have fought and suffered."
Luke is really lucky he doesn't get killed in Cloud City (or captured, which I think at this point could have resulted in him being turned). Yoda knows Luke is the one person with a chance of defeating the Emperor and Luke just about throws that away.
But at the end of RotJ when Luke cuts off Vader's hand, he surely is reminded of his failure at Bespin and sees the path he's starting down by succumbing to his fears like that again. He stops because he sees he's betraying his loved ones and everything he is. He can only throw away his weapon and confidently tell the Emperor to eat shit then because he's no longer afraid of dying or of those he loves dying. He's done what his father couldn't do and kept his soul intact, which is what Leia would want. Because real love isn't selfishly trying to save someone by betraying what they believe in like Anakin did with Padme. And it obviously has to be an incredibly powerful thing for Vader to see his own son able to do this, even comparing himself to the man he once was ("I am a Jedi, like my father before me").
We remember everything working out okay so it's easy sometimes to forget that Luke gives this triumphant speech when the rebel fleet is getting pulverized outside and things overall still look pretty hopeless. He probably expects he could die at this point. But like Obi-Wan in his own death scene, he knows nothing can destroy him now. And it's the love he feels for his family that gives him the strength to let go.

Hi there take some unsolicited starwars fic ideas that Im literally never going to fully write but am agressivley thinking about anyways
Summary:
A ghost sits in the emperor's shadow. Teeth bared, eyes sharp, lying in wait.
Tldr; Fox is killed by Palpatine but at this point his soul has been fucked with by dark force shit(tm) so much that he's able to linger on as a half-there remnant
When Luke confronts Palpetine some more weird force shit(tm) happens and Fox is able to manifest in time to kill the bitch, and by eating his soul (???) he gains the power to manifest more fully as some sort of very much *not* human force,,, *thing*
Also Cody and Obi-Wan are still alive and also are sickeningly in love because fuck you that's why
I need you to imagine Sunshine Luke holding up Clearly Not Normal Fox like
"!!!!!! Look what I found!!!!!!"
"Luke he ate the emperor"
"Ok and?"
This also means Darth Vader is alive so he's just kind of Awkwardly standing there in the corner like
🧍‍♂️ "Commander Fox. I am." *heavy breathing.* "Pleased to see you survived."
"I didn't."
*More heavy breathing*
No clue how that'd go but it'd go SOMEWHERE
Maybe Fox wanted to eat him too but has some sort of weird pity for him after watching over the Emperor's shoulder for so many years. They're both Palpatine's fucked up little experiments, even if Fox can identity exactly what went wrong a LOT better than Anakin. Hell, they actually possibly interacted some before Fox got axed, maybe they were almost friends. Got that good old 'unspoken understanding' energy where they make eye contact once in a while and just kind of nod and look away.
Thinking also ab how the rebels are either, totally off put and don't trust him at all or *Oh wow well he killed the emperor for us!!! But he's also uhh. Kind of a freak. But he killed the emperor, so???* or just full throttle *He killed!!! The emperor!!! My favorite boy!!!! Look at him go!!!!! Eldrich who?? I don't care I am in LOVE!!!!*
Fox getting all this love and support from some VERY eager and thankful rebels. He's one of them now!! No take backs!!!!
Also Luke has absoloutley claimed him as his own. Cool powerful clone commander??? Sort of friends with his dad??? Killed the emperor??? Luke NEEDS them to be friends. Leia is a bit more hesitant at first but warms up quickly, and Han is Han so he probably makes some noise ab it but the second he hears anyone say shit he's ready to throw down.
I'm actually a personal fan of 'being half force means Anakin was a 'lill otherworldly and that otherness definatley passed down to his kids' so maybe Palpatine's experiments had to do with trying to shove some of that specific otherworldliness into Fox, and it kind of resonates with the twins. They see him and just go *!!!! Oh???? One of us???*
Han in the bg with his own weird force null thing and his close relationship with the twins just. Not really sensing anything wrong. He's grown even number to weird otherness and eldrich force vibes, Fox is a bit odd to him but he just can't see what the fuss is about. Everyone needs to calm the fuck down smh
And Fox ofc just standing there covered in blood as he's suddenly receiving all this positive attention and support like *I don't know how to feel about any of this.*
Part of him wants to just. Return to the shadows. He's done his part now. He wants to rest. Let the man SLEEP he's fucking earned it
Anyways this is definatley inspired more than a little by @wreathedinscales's Corrie Red AU, which you should absoloutley read if you like anything eldrich and anything Fox

Five times Cody did not tell Obi-Wan what he was thinking plus one time that he did. (Chapter 1)
Summery: Snapshots of Cody and Obi-Wan growing up together over the years.
Ao3
Logically, Cody knew that high school was going to be different. That unlike in middle school, he wouldn't be guaranteed to have most of his classes with his brothers.
Still, he hadn't expected it to happen on the first day in his very first class. He glanced around as he entered the science lab. It wasn't that much different from the one in his old middle school with out of date posters hung up on the off-white walls and rows of two seated desks lining the room. There weren't many people he recognised from his old school and the few he did he could barely remember the names of. So he sat down at one of the empty pairs of desks, hoping that there aren't going to be many more people joining the class so that he could sit by himself. But of course, the universe was against him that day.
Students started piling into the room as the bells rung and Cody kept his gaze firmly on the desk to avoid catching eye contact with anyone.
"Hello there."
-
Cody startled at the nearby voice. He glanced up to meet the pale blue eyes of a boy with soft ginger hair and a sprinkle of freckles across his nose.
He was pretty, a voice at the back of Cody's mind supplied, which was odd because he had never thought of a boy as pretty before.
"Can I sit here?" The boy asked, a faint British accent to it, that only added to Cody's impending shock.
When Cody continued staring, the boy shifted nervously which was when Cody released that all the other seats in the class were taken.
"Sure." He nodded, trying to smile because Rex had always told him he had a resting bitch face and it probably would do him some good to make friends at this school outside of his brothers.
The boy smiled back, sliding in the chair next to him.
"I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi." He introudced himself, holding out a hand.
Cody took it, the pale skin almost glowing agaisnt his darker tone. With his soft features and prim tone, Cody was expecting his hands to as equally delicate. Instead, his palms were hard and his shake was firm with not so subtle strength. Its then that he relates that there is much more to this boy than meets the eye.
"Cody Fett-Ti." He replied.
"Fett-Ti?" The boy- no Obi-Wan asked with a raised brow. "I was going to ask if you have a twin because there's a guy in my homeroom who looks identical to you. Although I could've sworn his last name was Koon?"
"I do have a twin." Cody confessed. "But since he's in my homeroom, your probably thinking of one of my half brothers."
"Oh really? Sorry I didn't mean to pry or anything." Obi-Wan appologised.
Cody waved him off.
"Don't worry about it. There's a lot more of us. Dad wasn't very good at keeping it in his pants." Cody winced. A voice at the back of his head that sounded suspiciously like Rex, scolded him for being an oversharing idiot. But before he could panic too much, Obi-Wan burst out laughing. The other boys cheeks burnt red  and Cody was fascinated by how it completely blocked out his freckles.
"I have two siblings but they're not in high school yet." Obi-wan told him once he'd caught his breath, stiffly diverting the topic away from his father's love life which was probably for the best. Despite only being fourteen, it is something Cody already knows way to much about.
Obi-Wan unlocked his phone holding it out towards him. Cody looked at screen. On it is a picture of Obi-Wan with his arms around a scowling tween and a little girl with patches of vitiligo on her beaming face.
"They're adopted." Obi-wan told him, even thought it's pretty obvious with how they have no physical resemblance to eachother.
"Cool." Cody said because he of all people could relate to families being complicated. But before he can open his mouth to tell him as much, the classroom door slammed open.
The sharp clap of heels rung out agsint the slick floor as the teacher entered the room. She shut the door abruptly, bringing the chatter down to near silent within seconds. Her sharp blue eyes contrasted with the dark of her skin, piercing each of them with a stare. She came to a sudden stop behind the desk, surveying the class with intent. She came to a sudden stop behind the desk.
"My name is Ms Gallia. This is Freshman biology. If you are in the wrong room leave now."
Nobody dared to move.
"Good." She stated, tucking a stray braid behind her ear and Cody was suorised to catch a steak of purple underneath it. "Now, the person at your desk will be your lab partner for the rest of the semester. No exceptions. I want one person from every pair to get out a bunson burner from the cupboards. And no pushing!"
Obi-wan turned to him, the corners of his lips turned up in a half smile, half smirk.
"I guess we're partners then."
For some reason Cody liked the way the word sounded on Obi-Wan’s lips. He told himself we was glad to have been able to make a new friend. And he was. He had actually enjoyed talking with Obi-Wan.  Plus this might have been the first time in a while that he had been able to hold a semi-normal conversation with someone who wasn't one of his brothers. Rex would be proud.
Cody didn't say any of that to Obi-Wan though. Instead he shrugged in agreement.
"Looks like it.' He said before getting out of his chair to go find whatever a bunion burner was. Not knowing until years later, what that conversation would lead too.

(The Solitary Clone got me to revisit the last installment of my Clone²AU and rewrite it. Here are parts [1] and [2]. Enjoy!)
- Order 66 went out but Cody was able to fight it off for just a little while, long enough to hide Omega and stumble away far enough to stun himself with his own blaster as he feels his control slipping. When he wakes up next, it's been 2 months since the Temple raid and his daughter is not where he left her.
- Cody had been contemplating going AWOL since he gained his own consciousness again. Then he finds out Crosshair is alive and holds out a little longer. Seeing and fighting beside Crosshair again makes Cody have hope, but then younger clone crushes that hope when he brings up the Jedi. Cody wonders if Crosshair even remembers Omega.
- After being captured by Rampart, Cody is quietly transported back to Kamino. Now two decades older than when he started but chronologically only half of that, the former commander spends his days on Timira City on his forsaken homeworld training imperial cadets. He thinks they're worthless yet they've attached themselves to him and the nat-born CO he's been given is a creep that puts Cody in uncomfortable situations.
- The Third Sister requests for him specifically. She's going hunting—hunting for Kenobi. Her chase leads them to Daiyu. To add insult to injury it's rumored that Kenobi has been seen with a child who may very well be Force-sensitive. Cody wants to have hope so badly but even if he just finds the old master he'll feel some small peace.
- He finds Kenobi along with a little girl who shares Cody's face. They see him and freeze. Kenobi's eyes know him instantly, pushing the girl behind him. Many things pass through the clone's head only to end up saying "You need to hide." They're running as fast as they can. Kenobi's hand gripped tightly in his while Cody carries Omega and she clings to his unless stormtrooper pauldron. The Third Sister jumps down from the rooftops, saber blazing bright red. Cody is too focused on how they're going to get out of there that he doesn't register Obi-Wan talking to someone on his commlink. Then suddenly the Havoc Marauder is in front of them but he has no time to question it because the young Inquisitor is right behind them and she's pissed.
- Coming face to face with the Bad Batch after a decade of not seeing each other is awkward. They don't know if they can trust Cody or not but Omega ultimately makes the decision for them. She wants to know her father and she's letting anyone take him away again. The Batch reassure her that they never intended to get rid of Cody but his chip is a danger to both them and himself. (Hunter makes a comment about already losing one brother protect Omega and Obi-Wan and how they're not willing to lose another. Cody notices that Crosshair still isn't with the group.) Tech searches for the nearest Rebel base and heads for Jabiim.
- Once on Jabiim, Kawlan Roken talks with Ben about Omega and Cody. "That's really his daughter you've been raising?" "Yes." "Will they be going through the Path?" "No. I can protect us." "You sure about that?" "I already lost him once I'm not losing him again." Ben knows Roken is just trying to make sure he's got a clear head about what he's doing, but Ben had already up his mind the moment he saw Cody standing at the other end of that alleyway.
- When the Imperial cadets heard their commander had been stolen by a Jedi they rally and volunteer to aid the Third Sister in her hunt for Kenobi. They vow to bring their commander home.
- Vader has other plans for the commander. Ones that involve watching Kenobi beg for mercy as takes the last bit of his light from the galaxy. But before he can do that he must extract vital information from the clone regarding the whereabouts of his beloved captain.
- Meanwhile on Tatooine, Rex sits in the dark of his and the twins' bedroom. Luke and Leia are fast asleep as he watches a holo message from Bail Organa. The Alderaan senator has been kind enough to send updates on Ahsoka whenever he can. It eases Rex just a little knowing his first kid was somewhere safe in this horrifying galaxy.
(This is where I'm ending it because I've got nothing else.)

Original Trilogy: The two main protagonists are nineteen, the next three protagonists are fifty-seven, ambiguous mid-thirties, and Adult Wookie; Darth Vader refers to his twenty-something son as Just A Boy.
Sequels Trilogy: The youngest protagonist is nineteen, the other two are mid-twenties and early thirties respectively, the mentor figures are in their fifties and sixties.
Prequels Trilogy: Your survival relies on this nine-year-old. Your ruler is fourteen, and she and her elite girl gang are going to retake the capital. In a decade, you'll have an army of ten-year-olds. This is all perfectly rational.

Purely self-indulgent AU where no one dies and Chirrut officiates Luke and Din's wedding and decades later Luke officiates Finn and Poe's.

Shout out to anyone who has ever made AU dinluke fanart or fic where everything is just a perfectly normal Earth 2021 situation except Din still has a small green alien baby named Grogu and no one questions it or tries to explain it.

TBOBF Episode where Boba has to be at an important luncheon with an illegal mining mogul on one planet and at the wedding of the daughter of a ruthless crimelord and potential ally on another planet in the same day so they pay Din to paint his armor green and go to the one with the least chance of someone figuring out he's not actually Boba Fett.

Boba: Pfft...
Luke: Yeah right. Like what?
Din: Well, you're both legends on Tatooine.
Luke: Debatable.
Din: You both have /major/ Daddy Issues.
Boba: Watch it, Mando...
Din: You're both heavily scarred from incidents NO ONE ELSE could have possibly survived.
Luke, adjusting his sleeves and collar: I don't know what you're talking about...
Din: AND you both have twin sisters who could kick your ass.
Boba and Luke: He doesn't have a twin sis--
Boba and Luke: ...
Din: Yep.

You know in the og trilogy how Han gets jealous because he thinks Leia is in love-love with Luke before he finds out they're just twins?
Dinluke hc where Luke meets Korkie Kryze through Din and Bo-Katan, and he is just flabbergasted because LOOK at this guy! He is the spitting image of what Luke has seen of Obi-Wan in some old holos and he is SHOOK. Can't stop staring, just.. Wow much Obi, very love-child.
But he can't tell Din because well, it's just not his place to start this unprovable rumor that could upend this poor dude's life. So all Din sees is Luke unable to take his eyes off this other Mandalorian dude, tripping over his words and stuff, and he doesn't want to be jealous because it's an ugly emotion and one he doesn't feel often, but damn if he isn't feeling it now.
And eventually something happens where Korkie comes back from some kind of dangerous whatever and Luke gives him a big hug because that's just the kind of person he is.
Later Din is like "listen, I just want you to know that I'm ... fine with the whole Mandalorian and Jedi thing, I think it would actually be really good for our people to try and heal these old wounds."
Luke ofc only has feelings for Din and just automatically assumes this is his weird way of telling him he likes him and is like, "yes, I couldn't agree more, I just didn't know how to tell you."
Din: "I think you and Korkie will be... very happy together."
Luke: "...WHAT."

Darth Vader? You mean Kane Starkiller?AU
Ok, so I remembered that originally Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker were two separate people (and that Leia wasn't Luke twin sister but a woman called Nellith Skywalker that was only going to appear on episode VI) and my mind went immediately to Star Wars: The Clone Wars and just-
Imagine this bratty little that's-where-Kylo-Ren-comes-from 13-year-old kid named Kane Starkiller that was about to be kicked out of the order because 'he is too angry' but Obi-Wan takes him in because he knows how that feels like and now Cody either is still a Marshall Commander and Kane becomes a 'Jedi' Commander or Cody becomes a Captain and Kane is the Commander now (which means someone else is now the Marshall Commander, maybe Wolffe or Bly? Maybe even Fox, so Palpatine has the highest-ranking clone under his thumb).
Anyway, Palpatine starts becoming 'friends' with him (since something probably happened that caused him to fail with Anakin, maybe Anakin got therapy and told someone something that Palpatine said to him that paint the Jedi in a bad light and they actually acted) and starts filling Starkiller's with things like "The Jedi Order is so bad, they wanted to kick you out when you have all this talent." "You poor boy, Obi-Wan doesn't give you a lot of attention, does he? He seems to only care about that Skywalker boy." (which is untrue, Obi-Wan loves his angry Padawan/kind-of-son and tries to pay as much attention as possible but there is a war going on so he has to talk about battle plans with people and has paperwork to do, and that's not even adding the fact that he is a kriffing high council member)"Skywalker obviously hates you, have you seen the things he blames you for?"(also untrue, Anakin will kick anyone who hurts his younger brother with Ahsoka close behind, besides, it's not his fault that Young!Vader is always causing trouble)"That girl, Ahsoka, she obviously sees you as competition and wouldn't mind if you 'mysteriously' died."(I dare you to hurt him with when Ahsoka is near because LISTEN, he may be mean to basically everyone that isn't Obi-Wan or Palpatine and sometimes he is horrible towards the clones but he has some funny jokes and sometimes when the 212th and 501st are working together he appears out of nowhere with meat and his book choices are dark and mostly poems/tragedies but they are GOOD (plus he understands the Padawan Generation W for War memes at the temple unlike sOME PEOPLE *Side eyes Obi-Wan and Anakin* so if you dare to hurt her younger (by a year) cousin you got a problem in your hands)).
Moving on, there are probably a lot of misunderstandings like that one time with Rako Hardeen were he was forced to become Quinlan’s/someone’s padawan or why Cody has the power to ground him.
(Side note: Kane is probably around 16 when he falls and Order 66 happens so don't think about that.
Also, Anakin probably died from a fatal wound in the battle of Mustafar and was only able to survive until a bit after the twins are born and named to request for them to be separated after Padmé died shortly after she gave birth to Luke and Leia/Nellith of some other injury she got when trying to convince her honorary younger brother to join the light side again and he was sure he wasn't going to be able to survive without her, even for their children.
Don't think about Anakin going with Mace and the other Jedi Masters to stop Palpatine and didn't want his padawan brother to be in a clearly dangerous fight that not all of them will come out of, especially unscathed and watching as Kane appear out of nowhere and betray the Order (their family) before becoming Darth Vader before escaping, heartbroken.)
The clones probably don't like him very much because he acts as if he is better than them and it took Obi-Wan threatening to ground him if he didn't call them by their name for him to actually do it but there are some things make him bearable, such as him making their Jetti smile, him sometimes helping in the med-bay which, while most brothers complaining about feeling cold and they having anger issues for a few weeks after he treats them, always makes more brothers survive, him dragging their General to the med-bay after a battle, between others.
(Another side note: It probably wasn't Fives that discovered about the chips in this au, because if he was, Anakin would probably believe him after they discovered that he was drugged sooo it was probably someone from the 212th who tried to talk to Cody and Kane about the chips and the fact that Palpatine was behind it. Idk why but I can see Boil discovering it.
Also, don't think about Cody stepping in front of Starkiller and trying to make him shut up and stop defending the Chancellor because he is clearly making thing worse and he doesn't want Boil his brother making something that they would regret later.)
Anyhow, I believe that if they followed the original plan, they would have made us like Vader a little bit more.

Deleted Obi-Wan and Padmé scenes
Interesting information about Attack of the Clones (https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0121765/trivia):
“According to producer Rick McCallum, a scene was shot with Obi-Wan and Amidala swinging from one area to another, much like Luke and Leia in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), but the scene was cut.”
In case anyone is interested, the ANH scene can be watched here: https://youtu.be/VrbvWt5kerw
And it made me thinking.
It is often argued that Obi-Wan and Padmé have little screen time together with actual interaction happening between them. In fact, quite a number of their scenes were omitted during the post-production phase. Some are small, yet clearly discernible. For example the one where they meet after a decade of being apart.
The AOTC original script depicts it as such (http://nldslab.soe.ucsc.edu/charactercreator/film_corpus/film_20100519/all_imsdb_05_19_10/Star-Wars-Attack-of-the-Clones.html):
“OBI-WAN
It's a great pleasure to see you again,
M'Lady.
PADMÉ
It has been far too long Master
Kenobi. I'm so glad our paths
have crossed again... but I must
warn you that I think your
presence here is unnecessary.
OBI-WAN
I'm sure the Jedi Council have
their reasons.”
The lines indicated with bold letters are left out of the film.
But when one revisits the final scene (https://youtu.be/Wm593Vhs3bI), the editing is evident from 1:07 to 1:11. Padmé’s lips keep moving (“I’m so glad our paths have crossed again...”), but she is muted, and we transition right to the part where she turns her attention from Obi-Wan to “Annie”.
It is bad editing. Only if Obi-Wan’s mouth was not moving at 1:12... He is probably finishing the sentence with “...have their reasons” at the end, and hence why Padmé’s attention is focused on him as well as why there is a more serious expression on her face. Otherwise why would there be such a sudden change in her mood? Literally a moment ago she was beaming at Obi-Wan. But then she calls his presence “unnecessary” by using some unfortunate wording, and the face she makes at 1:12 is probably the reaction to Obi-Wan’s polite, yet valid comeback.
When it comes to ROTS, the loss is far more substantial, and not only by the omission of the infamous scene where they kiss and embrace each other (from 1:03 https://youtu.be/xd5qQRXhoLI), which bit, in fact, can be found in the original script (https://thescriptsavant.com/pdf/StarWarsEpisode3RevengeOfTheSith.pdf):
“187 EXT. CORUSCANT -PADME'S APARTMENT-VERANDA- AFTERNOON
The cockpit of the sleek yellow Galactic Speeder opens, and a HOODED FIGURE emerges and walks onto the veranda. An ALARM GOES OFF deep in the apartment. The FIGURE stops before a security curtain that protects the veranda. C-3PO enters the veranda and approaches the FIGURE.
C-3PO: Hello, might I help you . . . Oh, it's you, Master Kenobi. Come in, quickly.
The security curtain disappears, and the FIGURE lifts his hood. It is OBI-WAN. The alarm stops sounding.
OBI-WAN: Has Anakin been here . . . ?
C-3PO: Yes . . . right after the attack on the Jedi Temple. PADME comes down the stairs in a robe. THREEPIO leaves.
PADME: Master Kenobi . . .
She embraces Obi-Wan.
PADME: (continuing) Oh, Obi-Wan, thank goodness . . . you're alive.
OBI-WAN: The Republic has fallen. Padme . . . The Jedi Order is no more . . .
PADME: I know, it's hard to believe everything to which we've dedicated our lives is gone.
OBI-WAN: I believe we have been part of a plot hundreds of years in the making.
PADME: The Senate is still intact, there is some hope.
OBI-WAN: No. Padme . . . It's over . . . The Sith now rule the galaxy as they did before the Republic.
PADME: The Sith!?!
OBI-WAN: I'm here looking for Anakin . . . When was the last time you saw him?
PADME: Yesterday. [...]”
In the end we have this scene from “When was the last time you saw him?” in the final product. Sad.
And we have also been denied the scene where Obi-Wan and Padmé have a candid conversation in her apartment. It had been shot, then did not make the cut. You can have a glimpse at it here from 6:40 to 6:44: https://youtu.be/5ihqDETf324
In the script it looks like this (https://thescriptsavant.com/pdf/StarWarsEpisode3RevengeOfTheSith.pdf):
“94 INT. CORUSCANT-PADME'S APARTMENT-LIVING ROOM- EARLY MORNING
PADME and OBI-WAN sit on one of the couches. OBI-WAN: Has Anakin been to see you?
PADME: Several times . . . I was so happy to hear he was accepted on the Jedi Council.
OBI-WAN: I know ... he deserves it. He is impatient, strong willed, very opinionated, but truly gifted.
They laugh.
PADME: You're not just here to say hello. Something is wrong, isn't it?
OBI-WAN: You should be a Jedi, Padme.
PADME: You're not very good at hiding your feelings.
OBI-WAN: It's Anakin . . . He's becoming moody and detached. He's been put in a difficult position as the Chancellor's representative . . . but I think it's more than that. I was hoping he may have talked to you.
PADME: Why would he talk to me about his work?
OBI-WAN studies her.
OBI-WAN: Neither of you is very good at hiding your feelings either.
PADME: Don't give me that look.
OBI-WAN: I know how he feels about you.
PADME: (nervous) What did he say?
OBI-WAN: Nothing. He didn't have to.
PADME is a little flustered. She stands and Obi-Wan follows. She walks to the balcony.
PADME: I don't know what you're talking about.
OBI-WAN: I know you both too well. I can see you two are in love. Padme, I'm worried about him.
PADME looks down and doesn't answer.
OBI-WAN: (continuing) I fear your relationship has confused him. He's changed considerably since we returned . . .
They stand on the balcony and look off at the early morning city. OBI-WAN starts to leave. PADME stays looking off into the distant city.
OBI-WAN: (continuing) Padme, I'm not telling the Council about any of this. I ... I hope I didn't upset you. We're all friends, I care about both of you . . .
PADME: Thank you, Obi-Wan.
OBI-WAN: Please do what you can to help him.”
And has anybody noticed that the promotional stills seem to be out of sync with the visual seen in the film? Well, probably because some parts of the material already filmed were discarded.

Such as these ones (https://thescriptsavant.com/pdf/StarWarsEpisode3RevengeOfTheSith.pdf):
“228 INT. POLIS MASSA-MEDICAL CENTER-NIGHT
The TWINS are being delivered as BAIL ORGANA, YODA, ARTOO, and THREEPIO watch. OBI-WAN is in the operating theater with PADME. He takes her hand.
OBI-WAN: Don't give up, Padme.
PADME winces from the pain. The MEDICAL DROID is holding the BABY.
MEDICAL DROID: It's a boy.
PADME: Luke . . .
PADME can only offer up a faint smile. She struggles to touch the baby on the forehead.
MEDICAL DROID: ... and a girl.
PADME: . . . Leia.
R2-D2, THREEPIO and BAIL ORGANA watch from an adjoining space.”
“230 INT. POLIS MASSA-MEDICAL CENTER-NIGHT
OBI WAN leans over PADME and softly speaks to her.
OBI-WAN: You have twins, Padme. They need you . . . hang on.
PADME: I can't . . .
PADME winces again and takes OBI-WAN's hand. She is holding Anakin's japor snippet.
OBI-WAN: Save your energy.
PADME: Obi-Wan . . . there . . . is good in him. I know there is ... still . . .
A last gasp, and she dies. OBI-WAN studies the necklace.”
A smaller one, but might be of great significance if one thinks about either the Rebel Alliance subplot or the nature of Obi-Wan and Padmé’s relationship. (https://thescriptsavant.com/pdf/StarWarsEpisode3RevengeOfTheSith.pdf)
“195 EXT. MUSTAFAR-LANDING PLATFORM-DAY
[...]
PADME: I was so worried about you. Obi-Wan told me terrible things.
ANAKIN: What things?
PADME: He said you have turned to the dark side . . . that you killed younglings.
ANAKIN: Obi-Wan is trying to turn you against me.
PADME: He cares about us.
ANAKIN: Us??!
PADME: He knows . . . He wants to help you.
ANAKIN: Is Obi-Wan going to protect you? He can't ... he can't help you. He's not strong enough.
PADME: Anakin, all I want is your love.
ANAKIN: Love won't save you, Padme. Only my new powers can do that.”
The clip from the film can be watched here: https://youtu.be/J8QLKWvVK14
From 1:28 to 1:31 there is again an odd transition as a result of getting rid of the lines “Is Obi-Wan going to protect you? He can't ... he can't help you. He's not strong enough.” Anakin’s facial expression, of smugness and and condemnation, makes more sense in this context.
And from 3:24 to 3:28 there is another line missing:
“ANAKIN: Because of Obi-Wan?
PADME: Because of what you've done . . . what you plan to do. Stop, stop now. Come back! I love you.
ANAKIN: (seeing Obi-Wan) Liar!
PADME turns around and sees OBI-WAN standing in the doorway of the Naboo Cruiser.
PADME: No!
ANAKIN: You're with him. You've betrayed me! You brought him here to kill me!
PADME: NO! Anakin. I swear ... I ...
ANAKIN reaches out, and PADME grabs her throat as she starts to choke.
OBI-WAN: Let her go, Anakin.
ANAKIN: What have you and she been up to?
OBI-WAN: Let her go!”
So, there you go. I think there could have been plenty of opportunities for them to end up in more scenes together, but whatever. Even according to Natalie Portman “All of [Obi-Wan and Padmé’s] relationship developed off screen, so between Episode II and Episode III [they have] sort of become friends, to the point where he feels comfortable coming to [Padmé] and telling [her] things that are very personal.”
Also, do we know if Obi-Wan and Padmé met between TPM and AOTC? We know for sure that Padmé and Anakin didn’t, but then the film remains silent on Obi-Wan who is referred to as an “old friend” of Padmé’s by Palpatine (http://nldslab.soe.ucsc.edu/charactercreator/film_corpus/film_20100519/all_imsdb_05_19_10/Star-Wars-Attack-of-the-Clones.html)
“PALPATINE
I realise all too well that
additional security might be
disruptive for you, but perhaps
someone you are familiar with... an
old friend like... Master Kenobi...”
