I’m not sure how to word my sadness while scrolling through the qsmp tag this morning. There was only one person that I saw (well I saw other people mentioning them as id blocked them about a week ago lmao) stiring the pot and being negative/racist while most others were either reacting to the cesspool that is Twitter or that one person which was kind of creating an echo chamber of worry/negativity.

Unfortunately there isn’t really anything we can do about the assholes other than block and move on. Don’t engage with them as they are looking for that. They want outrage and drama.

The only thing we can do is be extra positive towards the ccs. Encourage them, make more fan content supporting their rp choices, engage in the fandom in a positive way to drown out the negative.

The qsmp is very special. Don’t let the ass holes ruin it for you. Take a break from Twitter if you need to. Block people and report them for hate speech if need be. Be a positive force to counter the negativity

Forever and Cellbit were talking about cross banning everyone shitting on Bagerah and I think that is the best way we can also proceed. Don’t give the assholes any attention. Don’t argue with them. Just block and move on/continue supporting the ccs.

SO GOOD!!!!!!!! the entire pacing felt just right with qqs character and i love the implied future conflict with oscurucho because despite qq not agreeing to his deal qq now has something new he loves that oscurucho can use against him and for whatever reason get qq on his side to do his bidding.

im also such a lover of the initial rejection of the new eggs from assigned parents. because when you look at the entire situation the islanders are in it is Fucked up. it is wildly fucked up. none of these people chose to be parents and frankly some of them probably wouldnt have been if the job wasnt forced upon them. you have that layer of fucked up. and then these parents get attached and they love and care for their child but they quickly realize they can die!! and be gone. forever!!! and suddenly theres anguish and grief and tragedy because you feel as though you failed and lost the one thing that mattered most. again fucked up because why do they need to die? why do they have lives when them as parents are technically immortal? NOW OUT OF NOWHERE IN YOUR WORST STATE OF MIND AND YOUR DARKEST MOMENTS… youre given another kid. another. kid. as if it was a common exchange. once again no choice. its yours now and you have to care for it despite all your hurt and all your trauma. it feels as though these people are laughing in your face just deriving pleasure out of watching you do this dance of getting attached and losing it all. it makes perfect sense for qq to not want to believe pepito is his son and the way he reacted makes perfect sense. and it hurts because pepito is just a kid!!! pepito cant possibly comprehend or fully conceptualize all thats been lost and all the harm that has been caused towards pepitos parents. all pepito wants is pepitos family. and tragically that’s something that isnt going to be easy because grief is a lifelong process and allowing yourself to love again is a choice that needs to be made by an individual which you cannot force. like theres no way in hell a parent who already lost their child would have such an accepting and easy reaction to that. its bizarre and jarring. and difficult. and i love how the ccs portray it

itsso so sad but thats why quackity choosing to stay is so much more powerful. because he knows fully well he will be hurt by this. he is tired and he wants to die more than anything and he cant possibly fathom having to endure yet another death. but he stays. despite knowing hes playing into this cycle. for now he stays. and thats all that matters

Sending a long explanation on c!Martyn I reblogged and written and added in ask after the first round poll. (May fix/add and put what I wrote here there too later.) Even if I voted and wanted c!Aimsey to go forward and didn’t want these two to compete so early. Liked what explanation was given thought to add more. Spoilers for Evo, and Martyn’s traffic life smp series. Implied vtuber lore spoilers. Apologies for c!Martyn brainrot, been a lurker for a long time and the c!Martyn and traffic smp brainrot hit. Mentions of Grian and Jimmy. (because i have both of them, mostly grian but still brainrot too.) Didn’t dive into the guilt fully, (can but long rn for me already, though asked can get into it) but the guy has it. Bad. Also with trauma and rage and knowing the consequences and decisions that reshaped him to be like how we see him in Limited Life.

Like. I love Martyn. I sorta hate the not totally great explanation given for him. Because there’s so much to explain. Of Evo Smp, Grian as both Admin and Player making the Watchers as ingame Viewers and as deific Minecraft code and system powers to move Minecraft versions. c!Martyn, another player with the rest of the server seeing and realizing the Watchers taking Grian and making him the Third. Mostly because cc!Grian made the decision to do so - to make his finale of Evo, and because of other important decision months in the making as well that just coinciding with him leaving Evo of joining Hermitcraft. Then Grian 2ish years later making and becoming admin and player of 3rd life, inviting multiple players to play and compete including Martyn. Though 3rd life and all others are improv-ed and real, Martyn slowly adding voices and shadows and lore to egg him on to possibly betray Ren, playing into it more and writing more as both improv and lore were played out. Martyn as any of the others didn’t know how every Smp would end. Yet, eventually in Last Life, sequel server to Third, cc!Martyn decided to truly say or implywho the voices are: the Watchers, in his finale dropping both how he is more of a Listener (same diefic entity to Watchers, but now opposed to them and their cause, was brought more into Evo after Grian left to update the game and flee and fight and stop from the Watcher’s influence) pawn and agent. Also these important big lines to tell or imply who they are, Martyn: “Why were you so set on Grian?” Watchers: “Hmph. He was never meant to be there, he was only ever meant to /watch./” c!Martyn being their only special guy who knows of them. Though c!Jimmy knows of them too – Watchers and Listeners, was reached out to be a Listener from Evo, though very not totally participating into the 3rd Life Smps lore. Though uh, via improv and choices dying first every time. Viewer speculation and momental coincidences of the Watchers vehemently hating Jimmy for being a Listener, a canary of warning of death and dying first every time, etc reasons. It wasn’t in Double Life much or at all, was in Limited Life, those voices, the influence. The series he won. By betrayal, and survival. By being pushed to betray, to survive, to win. But, every time, at the end, being stuck in a purgatory Limbo. Forever falling in wait for the next series to begin, and for whatever Smp or escape or protection is open and given.

I was going to default the MCC things I planned on using and am running into issues that I fully blame on the game occasionally being A Horrible Goose with meshes. Plus it was just... a lot of clothing options and overwhelming. Did not like. So plan B! I want to pick out a couple of really general outfits that would cover a wide scope of classes peasant-lowerish gentry, then let the jarls be special.

Because each “area” is color coded, dressing everybody is gonna be cheap and easy because they will have 1-3 options, just like with the hairs. Remember, the point of this is a SMALL CC folder. (This reminder is for myself and my filthy, hoarding goblin brain.)

THE ISSUE.

Picking stuff is hard.

So, I know I’m going to need one nightgown per age group. Thinking a shift is the best choice, male and female. Underwear again, one mesh per age group is sufficient, these can double as swimwear.

Everyday, outwear, formalwear, and athleticwear are more complicated. Because they do represent different biomes and nobody is wearing a fur cloak in the desert. At the same time while they need to make sense they need to be cohesive with eachother, you know?

If you’re feeling froggy, below the cut I’ve got a bunch of options I’m considering and I’d love some input! I’m also LOOKING for certain things, if you wanna take a gander ;)

All mentioned meshes are on Plumb Bob Keep btw.

DESERT

Males - Thinking classic doublet and hose, specifically Aligeth’s mesh and Mio’s Romeo, maybe three patterns. These meshes are available for teen boys which is helpful, but I don’t believe I’ve seen them for CM, definitely not anything for toddlers. I can just go the toddlers all wear kirtles no matter what route though.

Females - High necks and narrow skirts - I know you’d think you want less fabric but as somebody who lives in the desert, if it’s high heat you can cover up and it’s better. Less burns. Thinking of Cynnix' Laced-Sleeve Nun's Mesh and Dominiquex “What Kind of Nuns Are These” Gowns. For the former there’s solids and patterns, so I could have three options, pretty sure both are available for teens too. Not sure about CF on either, stuck to researching adult meshes today clearly. If you know, do share!

DRY COAST

Males - “Pirate Fashion Hooker” is the terminology I ended up using to describe this look. Listen, this is just who I am as a person. OUAT Inspired - Captain Hook and Some Day My Prince Will Come which is a bit fancy but I can scuff it up. Also considering the separate top Garrett Newson wears in Edirann for teens.

Females - To match the pirate theme I’ve apparently given them, I wanted aprons for the women of this area. LOTS of options which is surprisingly making this harder. The TS3 Baker’s wife conversion is solid, TSM Corset Dress, wonderbreath did a Peasant dress I like, and VampireKiss6661 did too Red Riding Hood dresses that are stunning and some of my favorites. Narrowing this down is going to be hard.

GRASSLANDS

Males - ...somebody was getting wizard robes as an option. Grasslands ended up winning that honor! Yuxi's wizard robes mesh, Yuxi also made an elven coat that Adrastos Hiatt wears in Edirann which is beautiful, Penelope made a mesh called the Magician which is very versatile looking, and there’s two I’m mulling over possibly being too fancy - Eclipse’s Robe and Once A King.

Females - Choosing something that would look nice and not weird with the wizard robes I ended up settling on Renaissance-type meshes. The Ever After set all by itself has 5 styles, then there’s kgcowbelle‘s Triumph dress, Ritratto & Domineco dresses, and Lucrezia Borgia dress. Choices! Ahhhh.

MOUNTAINS

Males - Mountains will forever be dwarves to me. They’ve getting armor. I am sorry for nothing. Valhallan's infantry 4t2 mesh and Cynnix's TSM Rogue armor and spy tunic conversions should cover us here.

Females - High necks and bell skirts, seems like it would be the warmest to have lots of layers in the mountains. Elliesimple has a beautiful conversion dress called Iris, Wawa’s Royal, Noble and Merchant -- Ladies Attire meshes, and (one of the few non-PBK meshes) 12raben made a bunch of epic dress recolors and one is high-necked/fur lined and it’s a vibe bby.

RIVERLANDS

Males - I decided belted tunics that were a bit shorter would work well with everything else we have so far. Again, I want some consistency in the feel of the clothing items even if they’re different. Yuxi's AMTS3FaireFolkSylvan Mesh, iamliz13's Russian Viking Style Tunic, Fantasyrogue tunic/chausses, all work. Could also throw in Aligeth's Robin Hood for AM for a touch more variety.

Females - Front-laced/belted dresses looked nice next to the male meshes, so that’s what we picked. Lady_Lochlane‘s Fionna cotehardie, Almighty Hat's Wide-Laced Kirtles, some good choices. 12raben made some colors of Cynnix’s edit of the Daydress from Sim-Ages that are pretty too. Not super laced in the front but whatever I like them.

TROPICAL FOREST

Males/Females - Dothraki.

TUNDRA

Males - Mongolian and Japanese inspired? Kinda? Robe-y with neat boots. Mayadevi Yamabushi-Japanese itinerant priest mesh, Mongolian Deel, Japanese Ceremonial kamishimo, Japanese 16th Century Warrior for AM, Terracotta Soldier-Qin Dynasty Clothes for AM. Too many choices.

Females - I struggled so much decided on a general shape/style for these. First I wanted pants, but I didn’t like my options... I ended up going with Italian Renaissance with the nifty sleeves. It sort of goes together? mio0331 Juliette dress, andavri Shadowcrest dresses, and Cynnix's lace sleeved gown mesh with the stomach-y thing?

WOODLANDS

Males - Bring on the long tunics!! iamliz13 tunics, Iamliz13s Viking mesh, andavri random guywear has two meshes, and Van’s Four Gentleman tunics.

Females - Clearly, vikings. Kostrup Apron Dress, Osk's Apron Dress, but Sherahbim lady of Rohan so they aren’t so same-y.

Whew!!! I think I’m going to start working area by area rather than by category, because it’s a lot to go “okay adult clothes!” vs “Desert Times”.

You were abruptly awoken by a loud crash followed by a booming, "FUCK!"

After a few seconds of silence your phone started to buzz, looking over at the vibrating box, you quickly clicked accept after seeing who had phoned.

"Tommy, if you don't mind me asking, why exactly are you creating a racket outside my house," you paused to check the time, "at three minutes past one in the morning?"

"if you come outside then I'll tell you!"

"My parents will kill me if I leave," you try reason with him but he remained consistent.

"Please Y/N, I have such an amazing surprise for you!" He pleaded.

Finally, you gave in, "fine, I'll leave through my window, just stay put."

You laughed quietly while Tommy celebrated on the other end of the call. Quickly, you clicked end call and opened your closet, you picked out a jacket and a pair of joggers.

You swiftly put them on and slipped on a pair of shoes. " what am I going to with this boy," you mumbled while approaching your ajar window.

The window made an irritating screech as you pulled on the handle, swinging your legs out of the window, you sat soundly on the window still. After you had spotted the lanky teenager, who was now frantically shaking his hand while he pulled it out of a nearby bush, you used all your strength to push yourself out of the window.

Tommy turned round as he heard a soft thump, "finally it took you ages!"

You checked your phone before looking up at him, "it took two minutes dumbass. Anyway, why have you coaxed me out of my house at the dead of night?"

"it's a surprise!" He beamed, "okay, this way!"

"Alright tour guide Tommy! Lead the way!" You laugh and follow him out of your garden.

You had been walking for what felt like forever, well at this point it was more Tommy dragging you along.

"How much longer," you groaned, throwing your head back.

"Only like thirty seconds," he announced.

"... And we are here!" Tommy shouts, throwing his arms up. Your face immediately lit up, the destination he had taken you to was a relatively large hill, instead of the familiar buzz of people coming home from drunken nights out, there was a comforting silence.

"Woah! This place is wonderful!" you chime, taking in your surroundings. "Why did you choose to take me here?"

Tommy smiled sheepishly, "you know how you are always talking about how much you would love to look at the stars without having streetlights all around you."

"Aw, Tommy, that's so sweet!" You cooed, while hugging the tall boy.

He nervously laughed and wrapped his arms around your figure gently.

After you pulled away from the hug you lay down on the grass, staring intently up at the sky and its many stars.

For the next two hours you and Tommy lay on the grass, eyes glued on the stars and talked about the most random things.

Hello <3 your sims are always so well-dressed! Do you maybe have some clothing recs, specifically when it comes to teen male clothing? It's so hard to find >///< (Also, omg, your simpage is so fun to interact with, it looks super great!)

Okay, so. First of all, thank you for the compliments ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm very glad I've been able to fool you with my dressing “skills”!

The way I dress my sims is always driven by my own preferences (which probably stands true to a lot of simmers). I'd say it's my preferences mashed up with the personality of the sim, so if you actually take a look at the way my sims dress, it’s really not that diverse. That means my sims quite rarely wear dresses or skirts, and instead I prefer to dress them with jeans combined with a choice top. Denim jeans, denim shorts, sometimes denim skirts....... I'm like that IRL too, because honestly! Jeans just look good with anything, I don’t make the rules here! And if the jeans ship with converse or similar shoes, I will absolutely jump at them and download them immediately! I admit I might be a bit of a jeans+converse combination hoarder... Shoes in general are very important to me when I download clothes. Sadly high top shoes aren't that common in the community!

Also, I can’t say I follow any certain style. I love photoskinned jeans, for example, but I also like crisp and clean maxis match colors. Don’t limit yourself by caging yourself into some imaginary limits that stop you from expressing yourself ♥

⚜ Nicholas wears this outfit by NePodarok - just look at those high tops!!

⚜ Mimosa wears this outfit by @keoni-chan - this is one of those outfits that I like to save for the perfect sim to come along, because I like the outfit so much. I actually have a sim in mind already!

⚜ Nicholas wears this crop top by @memento-sims and these bottoms by @t0fu-sims - did I mention I love crop tops? Crop tops for all!

⚜ Mimosa wears this ouftit by @veranka - this outfit is my absolutely forever favorite, and every female sim in my game wears it at some point of their life.

⚜ Nicholas wears this hoodie+jacket combo and these jeans (the last ones in the post) both by @misomoso-no​ - these are my absolute favorite and go-to clothes for men.

⚜ Mimosa wears this shirt by @oawus​ and these jeans with Positive Sneakers from @themeasureofasim​ - I love that shirt so much, but I’m waiting for the perfect sim to wear it! And those shoes are just so cool.

this OLD outfit by nalin at MTS - this outfit and the set it ships with is just legendary! And it’s from 2008!! I had this in my game yeeeeears ago and I was so happy when I ran into it again.

Chapter 55 Thoughts

It’s been a while since I’ve taken the time to actually write down my reactions and thoughts about a chapter, but after a agonizing 3 month wait for a new chapter, I had a lot of time to think about a lot of things. The final day was certainly the most difficult, and I slept horribly trying to wait for this chapter to come out (it’d be nice if companies could regularly list like....a release time on a certain date so people aren’t literally refreshing the page every 5 minutes to see if it’s up. Or at least have some consistency!). My lack of sleep and constant thoughts about CCS though did manage to stir another CCS related dream, which I will talk about in a separate post. 

But hot damn was this chapter worth the wait! It certainly wasn’t what I expected, but it was really great in a lot of ways! 

ANYWAYS, I’ve rambled enough. My thoughts on this chapter are below the cut! 

So I will start off by praising the hell out of Sakura for her quick thinking in using SIEGE. That was definitely a wow moment for me and really shows her growth as a magic user and as a person honestly. This action not only spoke to her skill but also to how quick thinking she is in such an uncertain situation. Surely, having never had any reason to doubt Kaito or question his abilities before, It is almost unbelievable that she managed to think of that and do that in the mere seconds she had to respond after Syaoran made his accusation of Kaito. I’ve noticed as of late that her instincts in particular seem to be really really on point. She starting to trust herself and her feelings, and because of this, she is able to act without hesitation, and I have a feeling that is  going to be extremely vital later on. 

Sakura starts off by asking the real important questions and things I would ask myself in her shoes having just met another magic user, especially one with unclear intentions like Kaito. She seemed like she was studying him to gauge him and the reasons for his actions or what he might do. What intrigues me about this part is she first asks him if he knows about her being able to use cards. He answers with a simple “Yes”. But when she asks about if he knows about Syaoran, his answer is far less simple, and that might potentially be telling. Kaito stated that he knows Syaoran to be a “extremely gifted sorcerer” and “the next head of the Li clan”. Now, perhaps I’m overthinking this, but he could have just answered ‘yes’ like he did with Sakura, but instead he listed specific details about him that shows Sakura he has done his research and knows a lot about him. Now, we already knew that he had this information of course, but why does he want Sakura to know this in that moment? I’m fascinated by this and what he was trying to tell Sakura by telling her he had this sort of knowledge. Additionally, why is it that when it pertains to Syaoran, Kaito behaves so much differently than he does with anyone else? I’ll probably delve into that in another post, but I have some theories on that. 

After making this statement, Sakura and Kaito exchange some meaningful looks, though it’s unclear what the both of them are thinking in that moment. Sakura turns to look back at Akiho and Syaoran and appears nervous, like she’s concerned about something (I have a theory to that as well, but I’ll leave that for another time). Then, Sakura mentions Momo and asks where she went, indicating that she has not forgotten about the other person around earlier. Sakura seems to really be evaluating her situation with these questions she’s asking, but unbeknownst to her, Momo has been cut off from her tv drama and is pouting in the mansion. hahahaha! 

Momo, while upset that she can’t see what’s going on anymore, praises Sakura for her for her quick thinking and mentions that neither she or Akiho’s mother accurately predicted how powerful Sakura would become. The implications of this are unknown as it is unclear what they are trying to stop to begin with. 

The scene changes back to Kaito and Sakura’s ‘standoff’, and Kaito states that Sakura cannot stay hidden in SIEGE’s field forever. I believe he was trying to stir a reaction and speed things up as probably the longer he has his time spell up, the more it affects his body, so he cannot afford to waste any more time. In what appears to be his way of showing desperation (at least in my opinion), he points his staff in Syaoran’s direction and threatens Sakura by stating that “He will make the first move” if she won’t. My jaw dropped a this, and though I don’t believe he actually had any intentions of hurting Syaoran, just the implications and threat of it was enough to make my blood boil. Lmao. 

BUT ONCE AGAIN, SAKURA IS QUEEN and reacts ridiculously fast to protect her man and uses one of her newest cards, TRANSFER, to switch places with Kaito and....well...she put him in a box. Hahahaha!! Seeing Kaito all crammed in that small space inside of SIEGE was honestly so satisfying and it was nice to see him on the losing side for once. I can’t imagine he was happy about it either. He’s used to things going his way, and in this particular venture, it has been anything but. 

However, this unfortunately also becomes Sakura’s downfall. By switching places with him, she put herself out of the protection she had before and was now affected by Kaito’s time magic. She managed to take a few steps, running towards Syaoran, before she ultimately was stopped. Kaito makes mention of her progress. When you think about it, she’s gone from being able to move a pinky to moving as far as she did this time, so it’s a significant growth. 

He goes on to talk, though it’s unclear if Sakura could hear him at all, about a phrase Akiho had learned in her Japanese dictionary one time about “growing leaps and bounds”. He seemed lost in a memory where Akiho spoke of how she wished to improve her Japanese so she could become even better friends with Sakura and the others, and how happy she looked when she spoke of this. Honestly, this sentiment from Akiho is super relatable and resonated with me. I am fortunate to have so many friends in so many different parts of the world, and I absolutely love learning about their cultures and words of their native language so that I can become closer to them. But what also makes this moment so meaningful is that in this particular moment, Kaito is thinking about Akiho and her smile. One may wonder “Why is he saying this right now?”, but it really does display how much Akiho is on his mind and how much he cares about her and his reasons for doing all of this. 

Shortly after saying this, he seems to be in pain again, showing once again the deterioration of his body the more he uses time magic, and it seems clear that he really is getting closer to his own demise. He even says as much when he pleads to Sakura to please make the card he needs soon, before he runs out of time. I don’t think he’s necessarily displaying a will to live or anything yet, but more a “I have to get this done before I perish, or it will all be for nothing”. 

Disappointingly, time is rewound once again, and he takes it back to before he and Akiho decided on a location for their outing. @meimi-haneoka​ mentioned this, and I agree with her, but he could have rewound to any point in time and could have completely undone their entire day, but he chose to still have that outing with her anyways. It was a conscious choice he made, though he quite casually made sure they changed the choice of location (for obvious reasons). Lmao!!! 

Now we get to the really exciting part. So after Kaito rewound time, I gave a big sigh and thought “Well, here we go again”, but something was very different this time. Sakura’s serious expression standing in her hallway said it all, and she suddenly grabbed her phone from her purse and called Syaoran, saying “We need to talk. It’s important”. 

So Syaoran, being the most adorable worried boyfriend he is, runs into her house literally in the next panel and immediately asks if Sakura is okay. I can imagine that he probably ran the entire way to her house too, and it’s just so wholesome I can’t even. It’s crazy how well CLAMP shows the strength of their love just through small actions like these, and it really is a work of art with its subtleties. 

Kero and Suppi have not been told why Sakura’s behaving so seriously, as she was waiting for Syaoran to get there first, but soon enough she tells them all at once about how she remembers using SIEGE at the botanical garden. This understandably confuses Syaoran, since in his mind they haven’t even gone there yet. But, she goes on to explain that she remembers using SIEGE, but more importantly that she remembers seeing Kaito using magic. This is HUGE. Not only is this progress (have we finally gotten out of rewind hell?), but this means that Sakura likely will not be nearly as affected by any time magic in the future. And if Kaito cannot make her forget about him using magic, that makes every action he does in the future very precarious. It’s unclear what the implications are of this revelation, but it’s going to entirely change how she reacts around Kaito, perhaps how she reacts around Akiho, and the dialogue she has with Syaoran. Syaoran should theoretically be able to talk to her now about Kaito and what he’s done so far and what they know, and I’m so so curious to see what Sakura will do with this knowledge. Will she be upset? Will she be mad? Certainly she won’t be happy to know that Kaito’s been forcibly keeping Syaoran silent, but Sakura is a forgiving person in nature, so it’s hard to say what she’ll do. 

Anyways, this chapter was incredible and I cannot wait to see how this develops from now on. I have a feeling things are going to get real intense here soon now that Kaito can’t control things like he’s been doing a majority of the series. Things are definitely different now, and honestly it’s about fucking time.

Tbh, CC answered so many questions about Matthew / Lucie on Tumblr. Suspiciously too many to dismiss their bond as simply childhood crushes.

I think Lucie will be happy with Jesse and they may have children and be together for many years.

But right now my money is on Lucie being immortal / ageing very slowly due to her demon blood and vampire Matthew, so it could happen in this fantasy haha

I agree about Cassie setting up the possibility of Matthew and Lucie being romantic.

For Lucie and Jesse, I just don't see how they can live happily ever after. First of all, logistically, they need to successfully perform necromancy. That is a feat in itself. Second of all, if they do, there will be a price to pay. One in-story (because necromancy is illegal and you need to commit murder to achieve it), and one narratively (because from the author's POV it's not "right" for them to just get away with it). Third, what is their love really based on? An infatuation with their situation (a ghost and the only girl who can see him, very romantic in Lucie's book), but what else? We're expected to believe they both fell in love in the span of a few weeks just based on their nightly secret encounters? Lastly, if they do achieve everything I've mentioned above, they will be exiled from the Clave at the very least. Is Lucie ready to say goodbye to her family and everyone she loves for a boy she barely knows? It sounds very romantic and like what a character in her book would do, but could she live with that choice in real life?

I'm curious to hear more about your theory of Lucie being near immortal. I admit I never go looking for theories (I can barely function with all the ones I come up myself that I don't even get to write lol) so I apologize if it's a popular one in the fandom and I'm the only one who hasn't heard it. Vampire!Matthew has its allure, it would fit with his decadent persona and his love for Downworld, although I cry at the notion that he would become a vampire and still don't get to live forever since we don't hear about him in subsequent series. In all probably, he could've been killed by Valentine's Circle. Now I made myself cry.

Why did Will want to save Lucie at the end of COI? And what this entitles for their relationship as father and daughter?

At the end of COI, Jessamine went to Will and Tessa to warn them about Lucie’s intentions and stop her from doing things she may regret. But Lucie, along with Jesse and Malcom, had already fled the Institute when Will went to the sanctuary, resulting in his decision to rescue her and getting James and Magnus involved because he doesn’t want the news to spread. 

Will tells Magnus that they are going to save Lucie because he believes Malcom kidnapped her. After all, she is only 16, and despite being at the border between still childhood and adulthood (the age of majority at the time), she would likely be regarded as a child from her parents until she leaves home to live on her own, or she gets married to someone. See, James already did this step by leaving the Institute and getting married to Cordelia.

Will is Lucie’s father, and of course he is worried for her. It would be out of character if he wasn’t. Even if Lucie wrote a note in which she said she was going to revive Jesse somewhere with Malcom, willingly (and we also have scenes to prove it), it doesn’t sit right with Will, and for good reasons. As Will points out to Magnus:

Will’s expression darkened. “Like hell,” he said. “He ran off with my daughter. Who is sixteen years old.”

Aside from Lucie being sixteen, Will also fears that Malcom has ill intentions towards his daughter, and he doesn’t waste time in enlisting his son and old friend to go get her. We, as readers, know that Lucie decided to leave for Cornwall with Malcom willingly, and Magnus also tells that to Will. He probably took them away at the end because of what she had achieved in the sanctuary, so that nobody would find out. Malcom shouldn’t have bad intentions here; he still needs Lucie’s help to call for Annabel’s ghost and he needs her to be fine to do it.

I don’t think it was casual that Jesse was revived right before Malcom, Lucie and Grace would have to leave. The reader already knows that Grace isn’t coming, so to avoid Lucie going with Malcom alone, Jesse was resuscitated at this point to protect Lucie’s interest, which is something important. He already tried to do it while he was a ghost, but that we know he couldn’t have done it anymore because he had faded. Now it’s his chance to look after her and to avoid that Malcom does something to her while she’s unconscious. Again, I don’t believe something bad happened here, because it seems like Malcom and Magnus don’t have a bad relationship in TDA. It’s over 100 years later, yeah, but Malcom wouldn’t have been High Warlock of Los Angeles if he had done something in TLH. I guess.

Will still sees Lucie as a child, but she is on the path to growing up, to becoming adult. He feels like it’s his duty as a father to save his daughter from someone he thinks might harm her, or that she may do something illegal like necromancy. He feels the need to protect her. She also behaved like a younger girl during COG, but we know that she is becoming secretive with time and her bubbly and optimistic mask is also cracking. Tessa also points this out:

“On the other hand,” said Tessa, “she certainly concealed the fact of her friendship with Jesse’s ghost all this time. She’s entering a rather secretive age, I think.”

They are not against Lucie befriending ghosts, nor they are surprised. What seems to shock Will the most about Lucie is what she did to Gast’s ghost that Jessamine witnessed firsthand: 

“That doesn’t sound like Lucie,” Will said, but a terrible prickly feeling was coming over him. He wanted to believe Jessamine was mistaken, or even lying, but what reason would she have?

The Lucie Will and Tessa know wouldn’t do that, according to them, to the Lucie she’s been all of those years. She wouldn’t be too secretive, either, because she hardly conceals her feelings in their opinion, which is untrue. Most of Lucie’s feelings are private, and what she shows the world is only the surface. And it’s not weird that the person who caught her heart was someone she could not tell anyone about. Some secret that was only hers, that she didn’t trust anyone with in order to protect the person she loved. But also, because everyone seems to overlook Lucie, so she found no point in telling anyone and sharing the burden. Not that anybody asked how she felt.

The point of this plot with Will, James and Magnus going after Lucie to rescue her, is to show that she has grown up and she is consciously making her decisions, however questionable they are. Because bringing your boyfriend back from the dead is also a questionable choice, if you think about it.

Lucie is not a child anymore, although Will may still think that she is. She doesn’t need rescuing because she knows how to rescue herself and that Jesse is also there as an ally. There are some types of parents like Will who will always consider their kids as if they are forever little until such children, they do something to “sever” the connection. Not in the sense of breaking up with their parents, but of starting a new arc of their life. We all have phases in our lives, and they are not fixed. When we, for example, leave our family’s home to live on our own (or with someone) or I don’t know, we get married or have a child, or any other act that starts a new life cycle for us, we are reborn again. It’s like a new start. 

So, I think that might be the case here.

Lucie did the first rebellious thing of her life (CC said in an ask that it was James, usually, the one who was more rebellious) and made her parents worry. And in Will’s mind, I can see it. As a father, he is protective of her. This is why he thinks she needs rescuing. Not because he believes Lucie incapable of returning to London by herself, to save herself. But because he still thinks Lucie as his small little child he needs to protect. Magnus realized it too, and I believe that during the trip to Cornwall, he may enlighten Will about this more, because the only thing in his mind at the moment is to reach Lucie asap, and take her back to the comfortable protection of the Institute/home.

“I would urge you not to think of it in those terms,” said Magnus. “Malcolm didn’t kidnap Lucie. According to her note, it’s her goal to help Jesse. That’s what they both think they’re doing.” He sighed. “Malcolm has something of a focus on the Blackthorns.”

Will looked intrigued. “There is more to this story, and I will get it out of both of you before we reach Cornwall.”

We understand that Magnus already thinks that Lucie might not, surely, need rescuing. And he tells James, who seems more reasonable than his father, that his sister might not want to be helped.

“You cannot save people who do not want to be saved,” said Magnus. “You can only stand by their side and hope that when they wake and realize they need saving, you will be there to help them.” He paused. “It’s something to keep in mind as we go to help your sister.”

This may also hint that Will’s relationship with Lucie may change a little in COT, and that he will have to let her go. That he will have to trust her because she has matured and she can make her own decisions.

alright so i've always Kind of resented goat/ram c!tubbo. not the art, just as a concept. it started from people comparing him to schlatt and i hated that, so i was very determined to make him Not anything really similar to schlatt. so i made him a moobloom hybrid! i remember at some point i had hced him to be some kind of nature spirit and he had antlers but i liked moobloom boy better

he has little flowers in his hair and more grow when he's happy/excited :] he has cow horns as well; he has his wedding ring on his left horn and c!ranboo has the same on his own left horn. they match <3 his pupils are horizontal like the cows have but i never really draw that. also he has fluffy ears! the left one has a notch out of it from the fcr and the other got mostly blown up in the festival lol

speaking of the manberg festival. in my design, the firework scars are mostly on his right shoulder, his chest, his right forearm, and the right side of his head. bc of that he's blind in his right eye, his right ear is heavily scarred + he cant hear all that well out of it, and a couple of his fingers got blown off n he has a prosthetic

more on the prosthetic hand through. i saw this clip where cc!tommy said that c!tubbo lost a finger in the festival and i took it and RAN with it. initially, i was gonna just not have him have prosthetics bc i didn't know how to draw it but then i remembered he played ukulele and that would be kind of hard to do w missing fingers so i gave him a prosthetic. it took forever to figure out but i think it looks fine now

ok now the clothes. This is the part that probably makes sense only to Me. i saw a post talking about dream smp characters' philosophies and worldviews and stuff and one of c!tubbo's was 'preserving history is essential' or something. i was in the middle of redesigning him at this point so i went Hmm. What if i do something with that. so i did. it doesn't make a lot of sense now that i type it out but in my head it Works i promise

the green shirt he's wearing isn't the same Classic green shirt bc that has been through Multiple wars. so it's a remake. i think it would've been made somewhere post-festival?

the boots are from the l'manberg revolution. i have a hc where he was too short to properly fit into the l'manberg uniform bc it was made for people who were like. tommy's size. and while he managed with the shirt and coat and stuff, the boots were really annoying so it was in storage somewhere. and long story short when he was settling into snowchester he realised the shoes he had wouldn't really be that suitable for the snow climate. and he remembered the boots and he dug them out and now he wears them around everywhere bc they're durable (being made for a revolution and all. yeah)

as for the l'manberg presidential suit pants. i don't have a big reason for that one i'll be real i just wanted to complete the set lol and the snowchester jacket is self explanatory. the element of the design from the manberg era is the firework scars :) he already remembers that part of his life too well

EDIT BC I FORGOT THIS PART: another reason behind the mismatched era outfits is He put this together right after his home got blown up. he didnt exactly have much. these r mostly just belongings that were mostly unscathed after doomsday + a new jacket he made himself. this outfit stuck bc i thought it was cool theres no real other reason 😭

last part ill go into is the lives tattoo. in my mind, all dsmp characters have a magical tattoo type thing on their left forearm. it starts off as three red hearts, and as they lose lives the hearts turn grey and the heart displays a representation of how they died. so for c!tubbo, the first heart is grey and has a slash down the middle (fcr) the second is grey and has kind of. explosion type marks that resemble his scars (festival) and the third one is red.

I have to be honest, when the first-AND I MEAN THE VERY FIRST, teaser came out, everything went bonkers.

One twitter user was fighting another group stan in a dark alleyway over some useless rank of brand reputation, another one was overanalyzing Dahyun's leggings and the other over Jeongyeon's boots' colors that's different than the others (blue, as expected), another once was aggressively making memes out of the mere 11 seconds of the Drop Spoiler.

All of the actions above are nothing new in Twiceland of course, we are all mentally eel (and we been knew), but it made our wrecked mind even wrecked because the SURPRISE?? A NEW ENGLISH SINGLE?? SOMETING THAT INTL FAN CAN FINALLY UNDERSTAND WITHOUT TURNING ON CC OR WATCHING COLOR CODED VIDEOS?

Then it all kinda went downhill from there (for me at least)

First of all, JYP /eyeroll/ released a statement that Miss Maam Beloved Yoo Jeongyeon can't participate in near future activity of the group because of her anxiety and health problems. Dude...the way that my heart sank knowing our ms maam is suffering somewhere, not feeling well...that made me want to give up badly. What's the point of supporting the group when the reason you're here is not present? But then I remembered the wise words of JY herself that she wanted the group to be forever. That made me happy once again, knowing that JY herself is trying her best and so should I.

Anyway, back to The Feels promotions ಠ_ಠ

The team released a spoiler from the ACTUAL song as a sound on tiktok. I was so excited but also scared because...sometimes you can kinda judge a song's vibe from a snippet. I just hoping the song's is up my alley.

I REALLY TRY TO LIKE IT, but I couldn't (yea call me tasteless or a [insert number here]-anti yapayapayapa--whatever ). It was simply not the kind of song I enjoy casually. But I tried not to be so judgmental over mere seconds of a song's snippet.

Maybe I'll absolutely fall head over heals over the whole song, or maybe the choreography, maybe the outfits ?

...I hate to break it to you bud...the outfits and the MV setting are the only one I like so far, gotta wait on those choreo vid to drop.

This video of Ms Doja Purr sums up my opinion towards The Feels:

I feel like the production team, the band, the sound mixer, the guy/gal who plays keyboard/drum/guitar or whomever needs to put more work into producing the song??? because it only has like 2.5 lines of musical notes (?) that they used over and over again. It honestly feels like I'm listening to a loop of a 1 minute song. BRO LIKE??? ADD SOME SPICE FOR MY GIRLIES?? PLEASE?

In term of lyrics, I'm impressed with the girls' pronunciation and choice of wordings, like:

DSMP (DreamSMP/DTeamSMP)

A political roleplay SMP (Survival Multiplayer) that mostly focuses on the ongoing of a country called L’manburg/Manburg/Pogtopia. Badlands, The SMP, Manifold Land, and (i think) Mexico are all also countries on the SMP.

We’re currently on Season 2, in which the main focus seems to be on Tommy and Tubbo’s failing friendship and how it’s affecting the country. But idk i haven’t gotten the chance to watch any S2 streams yet qwq. 

My favorite CCs (content creators) on the SMP are:

-Fundy -ConnorEatsPants -WilburSoot -TommyInnit -Philza -Ranboo -KarlJacobs

but there’s a lot of members on it to, and I’d reccomend [this] playlist to get you caught up.

You should also choose a CC to stick with throughout most of the notable events (I’m usually in Wilbur’s chat but since he’s dead now I’ll prolly stick with either Tommy or Fundy since Connor isn’t big on RP, though Ranboo might be a good choice, especially for a beginner).

For mostly just good vibes I’d reccomend Eret or Nikki. Connor doesn’t take part in the wars much but his chat has a whole different culture and is (jokingly) hostile to newbies to Twitch and his streams.

Another benefit is the goldmine of LGBTQ relationships and characters. Fundy, Sapnap, Karl, Quackity and Dream’s characters are all canonically MLM, Fundy and Dream are engaged and Sapnap, Karl, and Quackity are in a polycule :). Eret, Niki, Karl and CaptainPuffy are all queer IRL. Eret is bi, Nikki is bi, I’m not totally sure about Puffy but I know she’s into girls at least, and Karl is somewhere on the aspec. Puffy and Niki’s chara’s are dating :). OH and Fundy’s chara is conontically FTM trans :D

Wilbur, Techno, Phil, & Tommy are the official members, but Tubbo, Smajor, Nikki, Fundy, and a few others are often shoehorned in with them.

Mostly you’ll find SBI&A members together during MCC and Among Us streams, and those that are on the SMP will interact there. They’re all really fun :)

Dream Team (and the Muffinteers/Munchy)

Dream, Sapnap, GeorgeNotFound are the DTeam, BBH and Antfrost are part of the Muffinteers and Callahan, Ponk, Punz, and VelvetisCake are part of a group I like to call Munchy, despite the fact that only Callahan (from what I remember) is staff on Munchy.MC (Bad’s server). Mostly chill content but the DTeam’s twitch chat (and streams) are absolute garbage. Don’t watch it’s really bad.

if “YEAHAHEYAYHAHY!!!!!!@@@@!&@*YEAHGGG” made a sound and then you took that sound and you put the essence of that sound into a bunch of 20 yr old MCYTers than you’d have the iDots.

They technically have an official member list but no one gives a fuck. The members are Skeppy, Zelkam, Vurb, Finn, Spifey, BBH, and Harvey/TapL. Chaotic content but we love it <3

First Blog Entry

Hey, thanks so much for checking in with me. After a little bit too much prodding, I have finally, finally decided to jump in the entire Simblr Bandwagon and start my own Blog. And since COVID has a way of making you reassess those questionable life choices as well as the things you have yet to check off your bucket list, what better time to kickstart my own Simblr than in the middle of a wide-scale gobal pandemic?  Here’s to hoping this would be the first of many Blog entries I post here, since my interest in stuff honestly do tend to wane with time. But I am of the belief that my love for the entire Sims franchise and just the Sims 4 in general would help me see things through until I feel keen enough to share my Custom Creations with you guys at least (I mean, that is the whole point of this blog, is it not?), especially now that EAs doing a far better job with rolling out those Updates seven years in. I actually do have a number of exciting things planned out for this little corner of the cyberspace, first of which is sharing some of the Townie Makeovers I did to commemorate and coincide with EA’s recent announcement of a Townie Overhaul Patch. Somewhere down the line, I plan to share Custom Builds and Renovations with you all oh and I’m big on Starter Home and Apartment Renovations, so you may want to watch out for that. I also do dabble with Custom Content creating from time to time but I feel like I haven’t created anything that’s worthy or ground-breaking enough to share. Who knows, with sheer boredom and a nagging desire for the world to get back to normal constantly pushing me out of my comfort zone, I might just take me and my craft seriously. Eventually. But for now, baby steps, as to not overwhelm myself. I know this is my first Blog Entry and all and I really don’t want go beyond quick one minute reads on my Page I’m pretty sure at this point we’re already way past that one minute mark but I can’t help but ramble on whenever I feel sappy or inspired; which I’m currently feeling a strange mixture of.

You can expect updates or at least re-blogs of my favourite CC items from fellow talented CC Creators at least once every few days or so. No promises but I’d actually like to keep things neat and updated around here. My Blog currently looks like a mess but I’ll have everything sorted out. Eventually. An About Me and TOU Page is actually the next my the list, I’d just need to refamilarize myself with how Tumblr works, I love this site and all but this level of customization and control can feel intimidating at times. I’m forever deciding on a colour scheme jesus christ help.

If you’ve made it this far without skipping anything, congratulations, I’d give you a cookie if I had one. Honestly though that was a long read god damn.

what a worker bee i was both yesterday and today with prodigal son AND loki <3 never have i created so many gifs in a short amount of time it’s a damn miracle that my photoshop didn’t straight up cough up blood and keel over. alas, us bitches are stronger than that! if this post gets flagged because of the scenes i included....that would just mean that i made the right decision to exclude those scenes ajsdksajkldsa

when the episode finally downloaded, i took a peek at the ending before it aired to see how it all ends (just in case it doesn’t get renewed </3). GOSH, was i just in a TIZZY when i saw this happen and i couldn’t tell my dad what i saw because we were straight up watching the show as it aired. anyways, keeping my secret knowledge, i got to work on making this gifset. i missed a huge chunk of the episode bc it took me over TWO hours to make the six gif set. i was really torn on the “artistic” approach aka which scene to gif and which to leave out. because i saw the ending before anything else, i couldn’t play it out loud and i didn’t have my headphones to listen so i was like FREE FORMING THE SUBTITLES. plus the captions weren’t synced up so it was really hard to decipher what was being said :( 

i really thought i would be able to create the set before 9 but i was running into unforeseen issues such as the subtitle problem, which on top of that, like i said earlier, my photoshop is c/racked and janky so....you catch my drift. i was actually going to gif the bisexual moment in the cafe which i think would’ve been MUCH easier but i jumped the gun and wanted to make the gifs of the shocking ending. funny part about that is the shocking part wasn’t even included in my set (malcolm driving the knife into martin) because i felt like the scene was too short...anyways, let’s talk about the positives:

i really do like the coloring of this one. i used a psd that i’ve used before and luckily it’s meant for outdoor scenes with greenery so the gif really popped. sharpening, buddy ole pal, love you sm. the caption was kinda last minute but i hoped to save it with the gradient. cropping was a bitch because for some reason, it takes forever when you’ve made multiple gifs beforehand (cache innit) pero we pulled through! i actually started not saving the psd files to try and save time which is very unusual for me pero i was getting frustrated with photoshop so i was like y’know what....so i just gave up entirely and stopped saving. i do save when i’m taking my time but jeez, it’s a bad habit. i like saving the psd file because i never know if there is a mistake i missed in post and when i go to publish it, it’s blatant and it needs to be fixed. please, save your psd files idc if it takes up space u can just delete them later. IT HELPS !! TRUST ME!!

first & “last” appearance

i actually premade gifs for this gifset! unfortunately, i didn’t realize that three of the five gifs were the wrong size (pictured above) because i flipped the ratio. instead of 268 x 250, i made them 250 x 268. i don’t know HOW i managed to fuck that up but luckily i saved the psd files (wink, wink) so the coloring was still intact. i think i had to restart photoshop or it was getting too late so i picked it back up in the morning. sucks that i had to remake the entire gif from scratch but we will take some wins xx

coloring is the same with the previous gifset (listen....it’s a good coloring) and i actually did have an alternative coloring that was very warm pero i didn’t end up using it. almost melted the two with the “last” appearance of gil but ultimately didn’t go through with it. also i was thinking of using baby malcolm as the first appearance because technically, that IS his first appearance in the show but i was like...just use adult malcolm lol. also i know that scene of dani isn’t the “first” but the first scene she has goes really quick and she is planked by gil so there isn’t much of a solo (even though this scene isn’t much of a solo either pero it’s better than the former). the lighting is weird in this episode and my coloring tried their best :/ i know gifmakers make each gif a diff coloring pero i’m lazy okay and looking to be time effiencent. another slight tangent is that i actually queued the post for the morning but since i woke up to a storm, i was like, i’m here so i’ll publish it myself.

other than that...i didn’t run into any other problem. i was actually hesitant to make the caption that because i wasn’t sure how to really describe the team. i have poor memory so if there was ever an official name, i do not remember it. i did a quick google search pero it turned up nothing. i stuck with “dream team” because, well, that’s what they are. plus i didn’t want to tarnish the gifset with any mentions of p/olice (i was thinking about putting sumn along the lines of ‘the nypd team’) so DREAM TEAM IT IS because it’s true! you cannot have the show without these five! also, i should’ve used quotations on “last” because there is a bunch of talk about a renewal pero...just in case... sorry y’all :/

odinson brothers parallels

this was made in the spur of the moment. i saw that the teaser trailer with shirtless loki dropped in hd, i came A-RUNNING! it was posted like 47 minutes after the fact and i was like...somebody probably already made a gifset of the scene so i was like...gosh, to make the gifset or not all the while i was trying to download the video. trying because again, this was in the middle of a storm so my wifi was acting up and wasn’t at its strongest (whatever that may be). so i was getting frustrated because neither cc nor 4kdownloader was downloading this small one minute clip. that’s when i knew i was gonna be too late to make the loki gifset so i was like whatever ig...

then i had an idea.

i love parallels so luckily it hit me that this paralleled with thor and how his hair got chopped off. so, i knew i had ragnarok downloaded and got to work <3 wasn’t sure what dimensions to use so i went with 268 x 268 to make perfect squares. because the loki scene was short, i could only make three so i was like..okay, i can work with this. three for loki, three for thor, they’re brothers and they share! i wasn’t planning to add subtitles but i had written them down for the plain gifset so i was like alright, we’re going all in. i didn’t take that long to make since again, they’re small gifs and i did have a coloring in mind that i always use for ragnarok (it’s my fave for non-marvel edits as well). there was a slight adjustment to the final loki gif because i realized the gif had that dark fade into the scene which i didn’t know if it was an artistic choice for the show itself or was added for the trailer only (it happens when companies cut a bunch of scenes together and it’s not at all how it actually plays out). i didn’t want to take any chances so i cut those parts out. i know the gifs are short on the loki side pero...that’s just how it is in show business.
