Every time I see your art show up on my dashboard I mentally go, "Oh! It's the fitpac mlp artist!" and I get excited. I don't watch FitMC nor PacTW. I haven't watched My Little Pony since I was eight. I am unreasonably obsessed with both of those things solely because of you, and I don't know whether to thank you for that, or like, curl up in a ball and cry as I play pirated My Little Pony episodes out of one tab and a HideDuo compilation out of another.

Your art style is the most beautiful thing on Earth, however. I meant it when I said that I get excited whenever I see your works, because they're always absolutely jaw-dropping. Your handle on colors and body proportions is incredible, and you always seem to know how to draw children like they're children. I love the way that you draw eyes and facial expressions as a whole, because they truly are, well, expressive. You can feel the emotion behind each and every character; the happiness, the joy, the bliss, or just a general contentment with life. It's so much fun to scroll through what you have made and just stare at each and every work of art.

I bounce around your QSMP human egg designs in my brain semi-daily on account of how great they look. It takes a special talent and skill to be able to take Minecraft pixels and make them into something that looks even half as good as what you have been able to make, and you are undeniably an incredible artist.

I can attribute my love of FitPac and HideDuo solely to your art, and I feel like you deserve to know that. Every single thing that you make feels quite genuinely unique. From the adorable drawings of Richarlyson as a MLP character with the absolute cutest prosthetic leg I have ever seen and the most flamboyant but incredible hair to the Federation rabbits you have as your banner, there is not a single artist in the world who has ever made art quite like yours nearly as well as you have made it, and that's really cool.

Overall, you are an amazing artist. Your art is an absolute vibe, and what you create is truly something incredibly unique. I hope that you know just how awesome your creations are, and how appreciated it is that you share it with the greater QSMP and art community online, because it is something to marvel at.

Hello!! I'm in love with your artstyle (especially the way you did the signature spells??? I've been looking at them for a while adsgfdfsf, they look like movie posters tbh and that's fricking cool to me. anyway!! I'm a player on the NA server (btw, I've already seen spoilers of chap 7 due to tumblr/reddit/pinterest, so yeah it's not the most spoiled I've ever been so yea) and yeah. I'm getting through the story okay but do you have any advice for people trying to get through certain events with a more limited life schedule??? Also, what are some of the differences that you notice between the english (if you see a lot of it??) and Japanese versions of the game? sorry if this was a longer ask, i tried to be simple but i wanted to tell you that I loved your art and everything just spiraled AAAAAAH

thank you! ❤️❤️❤️ I've been surprised by how many people really like my posters -- it's kind of a weird style to do fanart in, I guess, but I'm glad other people think it's cool too! :D

(gonna answer out of order because the event stuff turned into a huge block of text, sorry!)

I've seen a few of the localizations, but I don't know a lot about the Eng version, so I can't speak too much about differences. (I do think "housewarden" has a better sound to it than "dorm leader" though...they need a fancy little word to match their fancy little outfits.) I did look up the unique magic/signature spells to see if they were able to somehow work in the glossing -- I'm not even sure how you would localize that without it being super weird, so I don't blame them, but I was a little sad anyway! :( in Japanese, they're all written as Japanese phrases with the English as ruby text, and sometimes they're given a little extra meaning. like -- this is where the episode 7 spoilers I'm tagging are) the words that Mal says are "Fae of Maleficence":

but the meaning of the Japanese is "Blessing", which is a nice little "ooooh" moment given the context of it!

there isn't always an extra meaning, sometimes it's just. super literal. but my other favorite is Jack's, where what he means is "✨howl that pierces the moonlit night✨", but what he actually yells is "UNLEASH BEAST" before turning into a giant dog. what a good boy.

as for event advice (under the cut, because this was already getting long)...

speaking as someone who is 100% F2P and therefore also tends to get kind of burnt by some of these events -- the #1 most important thing is to just...make peace with not getting everyone. :') I am a collector-type person, so it definitely gets grating when I can't have all the fancy PNGs my little packrat heart desires. generally though: never do random pulls, always be saving your keys and gems between events. (once a month you can buy a 10-set from Sam for a 50 gem discount, and logging in on a character's birthday will give you a 10-set for free, so make sure to do those!). when the event info starts coming out, pick one or two cards that you really want and work specifically towards those, focusing on grinding out the items and/or using your saved-up pulls on their specific banner. and in the end, accept that it might just not be meant to be, even if you hit the 100-pull pity SSR no I'm not still bitter over fairy gala Ortho why do you ask. if the event doesn't have any cards that you really want, take it as an opportunity to save for the next one!

hoard your star fragments (the things that restore AP) -- if you're going for a card that requires grinding event items to permanently unlock, and the item is one you get from lessons, you can use star fragments to bump your AP up to 30 at a time (10 is the limit that will restore over time, but 30 is the max you can have at once). that makes for a looong lesson loop, but I usually get about 50-60 items per 30 lessons, and I just let it run in the background while doing other stuff. (usually these items are what also unlock the event story, so I'll do a huge amount of lessons first thing and then have enough to get the whole story at once. 👍) it can get really grindy, but events go on for a while so it's not usually that bad if you space it out a bit, instead of waiting until the last minute to try and get those last 600 items (cough) (cough).

if it's one of the ones where you get the item from doing a rhythmic, you get the same amount of items no matter how well you do, even if you miss every note. so you can just...tap occasionally to restart it and get the same effect. if it's a battle one, you do have to actually win to get the item, but once you figure out the sweet spot of a team setup + highest battle level where you win every time, it becomes basically the same deal.

so...yeah, tl;dr you can get away with a lot just by setting things up to run in the background and paying just enough attention to tap through some of the menus. it does require a certain amount of time to just leave your phone while still sorta-kinda paying attention to it, so it might not work for everyone, but that's the best way I've found to get through most events!

Fuzichoco? Valentine Lissa is adorable.

Oh! Yes yes yes I like Fuzichoco's artwork; even though she's the worst dagger unit (Behind Merlinus maybe, poor guy), Halloween Sakura holds a special place in my art for how adorable the artwork and concept of the costume was (And yes, Valentine Lissa is absolutely cute).

Fuzichoco's the artist who drew Sakura, Hana (fitting that they draw the two friends), Halloween Sakura, Halloween Ilyana, New Years Velouria, and Valentine's Lissa.

And let me say I love their coloring style for characters with light or vivid color schemes:

I think this is actually the best artist we've got for Lissa so far. Her Christmas art is... all right, but this one's the best. The posework isn't super strong, but it also seems to fit the energy of the characters, so I won't complain too much. I think given the character selection they've had (magic and daggers, plus New Years kimono), it doesn't seem like they had a lot of room for it, because their posework for Hana is pretty solid.

Also their expressions are good when they're working on not-apathetic characters. They were kind of stuck with Velouria, Illyana, and Sakura who don't really get radical expressions, so I can't blame them for that. But also Halloween Sakura's damage pose looks like the crying cat meme and I can't stop laughing at it:

Now in terms of criticisms, I do have some. Minor, but still. One, their critical effects are... hit or miss. Some are great, like Illyana and Halloween Sakura's!

And well, some like regular Sakura and Valentine's Lissa are... lacking in pizzaz:

BUT let me say I LOVE the flowers in Lissa's crit, the color scheme looks almost prismatic! It's super gorgeous, it just needs more! Maybe another arc of flowers on the bottom with some swirling petals added to the butterflies. And Sakura's is neat too, but it needs some more effects.

And two, my other nitpick is that they don't seem to really push the envelope with using the character's clothing to add to movement. All the clothing looks... a little stiff. I think they just need to tweak the way they draw moving clothing and they'll have a drastically improved motion to it.

Overall, Fuzichoco is a nice solid 8/10. It seems like they've only drawn girls so far so I'd like to see them tackle male characters in the future, something easy to work with like a child character. Maybe if we get the baby banner for Fates (like we did for Shadow Dragon, Sacred Stones, and Tellius), they could draw F!Corrin as a wee lass? I'd like to see that!

Oh, this is a really fun ask, wow! I'm gonna try to not get too wordy with this so as not to make this a super long post, but a genuine thank you to you for this thought provoking asks!

My Hero Academia - I got into actually physically reading manga only recently, I did read some back in my high school days in the library but this was the first series I decided to pick up - I just find the character of All-Might to be really inspirational and amazing - it's the one series I most regularly keep up with and get merch for and I just love immersing myself in it.

I've always just really loved the whole Cooking Mama series as a whole - it's really wholesome and happy and impossible to feel stressed out playing it - I have a mobile app for it and remember playing the Wii game and since then I've sought out the old DS games - it's just such a happy and cute series with an adorable aesthetic and relaxing music.

I really like both of the group art that Atlus used for Persona 5 and Royal - the ones you'd typically see on the box art of the game - I'm not really articulate about describing things but seeing everyone strike a cool pose really gives you a good sense of each character and gets you hyped up to play it and to get to know them - and normally I would prefer one over the other, but I think they're both equally amazing.

For graphics, I really like the ask banner that I have - maybe that's sort of a weird choice but I just love the image used for it and to this day, wonder where it originated from, it's such a cute picture of Ryuji and if I'm being honest, it's part of why I'll probably never drop this particular URL if I can help it - plus the mun was really sweet and put a lot of work into it and I'm just incredibly proud to still have and use it.

When @cantillat made me some icons (a lot of the manga ones that you see, actually - thanks Sin!) they also made me ones with a yellow border and a skull - I haven't actually used those so I'll post some below, but I just couldn't be more grateful for them because there's a lot of Persona 5 manga out there and we only get a small handful of it in English - I'm not really the most savvy with keeping up with fan translation or online manga websites anymore and even if I was, my anti-virus would probably prevent me from even getting close, so I'm always eternally grateful to have some diversity and some manga icons! He just looks really cute in the manga and doesn't look derpy or weird - the manga art still captures his spirit and style and I'm eternally grateful my friend made me these icons.

thinking about the wings au recently and about how. I’ve told the story but still know things that haven’t been shared. I’m still keeping secrets! and some of the things i know none of the characters know. and they’re important! I told the portion of the story that was meant to be shared but there is! so much beyond that! And I haven’t explored all of that but there are things I know about it I’ve told no one. despite 350k words and 44 chapters and a 3 chapter finale. maybe they’ll make it into the epilogue. maybe they don’t. I’m having so many thoughts Tobi. anyway hiii Tobi hope you’re doing alright :)

It's so interesting, isn't it? Authors all take a different style of writing, and those who like worldbuilding first (like you) build up so much around the events of what the story is and what's happening. But then you have to cut so much out to be able to squash it all into a feasable story with good pacing.

But then there's so much left over information.

The best way I can describe it is like, when you want to draw something digitally that has to be a specific size, like a pfp or a banner! But instead of keeping the size, you try to get the entire idea, and you spend hours, perfecting all the little details. But then, when it's finally time to make the piece, you end up having to cut out huge snippets of drawing in order to make it fit! Things you adored just so that you're able to scrunch it down into the right size.

I'm sure that you're not looking for advice, and feel free to ignore this, but when I have this cool art that I had to crop down, I just post it separately, in all of its glory. If you don't want to hid the secrets that you've made, the details of the world that you've created, maybe you could make and art or a post where you could show off some of them!

You could certainly send me an ask talking about more of the world, because I love hearing you talk about it.

Or it could bounce around in your head like the DVD logo on a TV screen. Either way, extra little snippets and ideas are so fun to cradle in your arms. Because you've gotten attached to these guys! They're all important!! But they might not get to see the light of day!!!

Dude I just finished watching Black Panther Wakanda Forever and I am going to share my freshly baked scattered thoughts with any unlucky onlookers that might pass by.

First and foremost.. Oh my god. That end fight scene. I couldn't tell who I wanted on top of me more. I mean. Like, Shuri and Namor were beating the shit out of eachother which isn't ideal but can they like beat the shit out of me?

With the previous point being made, I think its notable that Namor/Kukulkan's thunder thighs had me in a chokehold the whole movie. This is important information to the plot.

On a more serious tone, I wish they would've displayed more political conflict within the movie and elders. I feel like given how much their politics were involved with the previous movie, we should've seen more conflict. I mean like, Shuri basically dropped down from the sky at one point and decided to declare war on Talokan and with the exception of whats-his-name, everyone seemed pretty damn chill with it. You'd think that after the last guy they'd show some resistance. But I suppose that would take up too much screen time? Idk man I feel like that was one of my biggest qualms with the realism of the writing.

Personally I don't have a problem with it, but my brother is like rlly upset and feels like it was poor writing to put Riri in an Ironman like suit. I actually liked it. I liked how they introduced the idea of her wearing a suit like that WITH Ironman actually. When we saw the suit in the garage, I can't remember if it was mentioned that Riri took inspiration from Stark or not, but I feel like it was implied bc of the studies she had been doing on Stark tech. And I think that was so cool to throw in there! It makes sense for a second generation of heroes to be inspired and making their own suits and stuff out of the previous Avengers. Think about all the scenes and headcannons we used to see of Thor or smth waving to a little girl on the bus. Those kids are going to start being the next generation of heroes so I'm really excited to see how Marvel incorporates the inspiration factor. Think like Peter Parker interning for Stark, I can't wait to see some other young hero who is just like oddly obsessed with Banner or smth bc they had a Hulk Stretch Armstrong toy or smth when they were six.

The costume design!! Oh God! Loved it!! I'm kind of a nerd for Art History and as many know, Hollywood usually does not get it right. I'll admit, I had high standards for Marvel on this one because they did so good with the first Black Panther design of masks and materials used for costuming, incorporating bits and pieces from other various individual African or Sub Saharan art styles, even researching into color meaning and representation. And I was overjoyed to see that Marvel had met my standard in the design of mourning garments and masks among other details. Not to mention the research done into hair styles and material use when they designed the Talokans (Talokanians? Idk dude I can't remember.) I also loved the war headdress Namor addressed everyone with, and I'm infinitely more glad that he didn't wear it into battle. I do think that given the Mayan roots of Talokan, the place they had Namor standing over did look uncannily like the Aztec Templo Mayor but yknow it still looked cool ig. Anyways. Kudos to Marvel, they're clearly doing their research and have an Art Historian somewhere on the team. I really can't wait to see what they do next keeping up the good work.

my favorite thing about cato is that despite everything that's going on in her life, she's still a very positive and optimistic person! much like vincent she tries to see the good in everyone and everything at first and tries to not judge too quickly, and would rather be considered too nice to people than too mean

even though she's now pretty much on the run from kang tao and still hiding from them and all of that is. essentially mikhail's fault even though it was mostly accidental LMFAO she still forgave him and they're best friends now and she likes that :) wouldn't have it any other way because life is short and she prefers to just move on from things rather than hang around in the past <3

🌱 does this oc have any pets? do they have any pets they want?

cato does not have any pets because she really doesn't have the time or the knowledge to take care of them properly :( she'd love to have them, but it doesn't mix well with her mercenary life and while she DOES have lauren who could help her take care of a pet because they live together and are not always on gigs at the same time (thibault and judy as well btw. they don't live there but sure act like they do smh) it's still a huge responsibility and she doesn't think she's ready for that

though if she ever wants to hang out with animals she can just go to vitali's penthouse and hang out with nibbles (vincent's cat) and sapphire (vitali's cat) <3

cato likes to build websites in her free time :) she doesn't really have a good reason for it other than the fact she sometimes just gets an idea for a website layout and just HAS to try and build it herself LOL it's very therapeutic and a good way to pass the time :)

cato will wear. Anything. she loves clothes and night city is. well. it's interesting when it comes to clothing LMFAO but yeah i don't think she would stick to just one style only, she sees clothing she likes and just buys it and wears it <3 she does have a preference for Hot Pink though so that would be the most prominent color in her closet

cato can be described as passionate. she loves her friends, she loves to have fun, but she's also a hard worker and likes her job and likes to do a GOOD job :)

aaahhh thank you so much, i hope you like the hobi fic when i post it 🥺 i'm at 4k words rn, almost one-thirds in. the final word count will land somewhere b/w 12-14 k.

for the seokjin fic, i'm only 1k words in and haven't touched it in a year :( even the banner is from december :( the writing is also not that good bec this is the first draft. so idk when i'll actually get to posting the fic, but anyways. here's the banner, some synopsis and a tiny snippet from heaven's a heartbreak away:

You knock at the door, restless, angry and more than a little disappointed by the events of the past two days.

The door opens and Kim Seokjin greets you with a flat stare. His hair is as immaculately styled as ever and he’s dressed elegantly in a pastel blue sweater and plaid pajamas. You must look worse for the wear than he does in your sweat and dirt laden dress, frazzled hair and lipstick half eaten out of stress. Ironic, given the situation.

"I quit," you blurt before he's had the chance to say anything.

His eyebrows raise, very slowly. But then his shoulders slump and his entire demeanor is a picture of resigned acceptance. "Can't say I didn't expect you to. Come on in."

You enter the penthouse, belatedly realising that this place is his own and not provided by the company that he was just kicked out of.

"Tea?" Seokjin's voice rings out.

You purse your lips, following him all the way to the kitchen, and perch upon a stool. "You got vodka, boss?" you meekly ask, looking at his expectant face.

Seokjin's face is stoic for a while, and then he suddenly snorts, shaking his head in amusement. "Sure."

You two settle on one of the living room couches with vodka in ceramic coffee cups.

"How'd it go? You didn't slap him, did you?" Seokjin takes a huge gulp, winces, and then turns to look at you with humor lining his face.

You laugh. "I almost did. He's so sleazy, boss,” you nearly whine. "Had this cocky smirk on his face the entire time I talked to him. He thinks he's got it all, now. Watch him burn the place down in a month."

Seokjin hums, downing the rest of the liquid in his cup. "This is not all on him, though. He's a man of art. He wanted to travel the world, not settle down in a four-by-four office with a corporate job." Seokjin pauses to sigh. "It was the reason why he agreed to take up business admin and went to study abroad, in the first place. But God bless my uncle, he twisted it to his convenience."

You groan. "But why did the board of directors vote him up?"

"Money, sweetheart." Seokjin shrugs, his casually offered endearment making you sip a larger than intended amount, and you cough. He shoots you a look. "What? You didn't think they could be bought?"

You swallow, thankful that Seokjin didn't interpret your coughing for what it was for. You roll with it. "It comes as a bit of a surprise, certainly."

"They took less than fifteen minutes to finish off the vote." Seokjin's eyes are saddened when he leaves your side to go back to the kitchen. Probably getting a refill. "They would take hours to pass the amends I’d suggest, remember? And they passed me by, just like that!" he calls out from the kitchen.

"I know, boss. I know," you sigh, reminded of the ill-fated day that you'd thought would go very differently, two days back.

That morning, when you'd stepped out of the lift, the office had greeted you normally. A few nods, a couple of good mornings. The door to the meeting room had been firmly shut, as you'd already known it would be – the board of directors were voting, today.

Seokjin's family politics had caught up with him after more than ten years of being the best CEO Kim Enterprises had ever seen in its run. But Seokjin's uncle was more concerned about his own son's return from abroad where he'd apparently finished off his PhD in something related to business. You didn't bother researching. You hated Seokjin's cousin – he didn't even deserve to be associated with the company, let alone compete against Seokjin for the CEO position.

At the far end of the hallway sat Seokjin's office, where you were headed.

You'd entered the CEO's office with trepidation, knowing you'd have to be at your best behavior lest you slap the guest.

Kim Taehyung had a sly grin over his face as he sat across Seokjin. From the tight set of the latter's jaw, it was clear that only one of them was having fun today. That had been the first sign of alarm to you – Seokjin didn't stress over situations that didn't really warrant it.

You'd greeted the two of them, formally, and listened to the younger go on and on about his experiences in some big shot university, abroad. The guy was either horrifically bad at reading the room, or he was way too cocky to care. In either case, you didn't think he made for an ideal candidate for the job Seokjin did.

Well, in your humble opinion, no one could ever handle the job like Seokjin did. But your opinion valued naught, here.

"Ma'am!" a subordinate had called out to you, barely ten minutes later.

"Yes?" you'd looked at his troubled face without letting your own distress show.

"The – the votes are in. Mister Yi is asking for you."

You'd exhaled, tightly, and followed the guy to the burly man standing outside the closed doors of the meeting room.

That was where he'd delivered the news to you.

The votes had gone against Seokjin.

Episode: 1

Title: Being sucked in

A/n: I'm not sure how long this.. story will take but i will try my best to keep it entertaining.. this story is about you, being sucked into genshin world, this is part 1.. please enjoy. Leave a comment or suggestion.. possible love interest for now will be : Diluc, Kaeya, Albedo, Zhongli, Childe, Xiao, Beidou, Ningguang.

Today is another normal day, nothing is really out of the ordinary, the sky is a little bit cloudy but you don't mind, you think that the wind blowing against your hair is very nice as you walk towards your school. You walked inside, stopping Infront of the locker to the entrance to fix your stuff and take your schedule until you felt a presence beside you.

"oh, hello sidia".

You greets one of your sleepy friend, she just let's out a 'hmm' and a nod while looking through her locker, not even giving you an eye contact. sidia has always been like this, she never really made an eye contact towards you but she still shows that she has some of her attention towards you.

"good morning".

Your other friend, Chelz Lee, let's out a mutter to the both of you, Chelz is more talkative then Sidia, you met them maybe a couple of years ago. they're a very talented artist and are a very interesting friends to be around with.

"what's up guys".

You too greet them without looking at their eye, you take your books out and proceed to take a peak at Sidia's schedule.

"oh? Mathematics on the first hour? Goodluck".

You snicker and slap her shoulder a little bit, she stares at you uninterestedly with her sleepy eye and started to walk away, letting you stare at her black low ponytail hair.

You giggle and take a peak at Chelz's schedule. Art. her first lesson for today seems fun you thought sighing at the sight of your first schedule that reads 'science'.

Chelz already went half way to catching up to Sidia before she looks back at you as if asking you to join them and you did. You jog towards her, taking her hand and started to jog towards Sidia either.

"how are you both?".

You ask them both while fixing the books on your hand and looking at your shoes to check the lace.

"depressed".

Sidia answered, you make a 'uhuh' sound feeling used to her answers. Chelz stroke her short wavy black bangs out of her eyes and use her black glasses and start to read her novel. Her black short hair blows a little because of the wind.

"fine".

She answered you, yawning and stretching her arms out beside her. You and the rest of your friend said goodbye to eachother and proceed to go to your different ways.

You went inside your class. As usual people are in teams, some are in teams for fun, some are in teams for checking today's lesson.

You take a one seat beside the window and wait for the teacher to come inside the classroom.

The lesson went on as usual, smoothly even, you did your homework andd the score that you got on yesterday's test is not bad, B is not a bad grade. You take out your binder and put the paper's that you got in to the binder.

Going home is the best thing about the day. You and Chelz are chatting away about until you guys cane across a gaming store.

"ou? A gaming store".

Sidia said, catching yours and Chelz attention. Chelz look at that place very seriously, squinting her eye.

"...since when is there a gaming store here- y/n!".

She was very suspicious of this place, she doesn't remember any gaming store around here... And if there is one opening soon it should be the talk of the school. in short Chelz was suspicious but you, being a gaming enthusiast decided to check it out, thinking maybe they have a good and cheap open world game.

"... She's crazy".

Sidia chuckled. She took Chelz arm, snapping her out of her suspicious state and drag her towards the gaming store.

"yo- sidia i don't wanna die".

"well i do. So let's go".

And with that the both of them followed you in.

The store looks very cool.. it's like you're in a different world. The ceiling's wallpaper is made out of galaxy like drawing and the light bulb was covered with another ball that is drawn to match with the different planets on the solar system.

"welcome to the store how may i help you".

A girl that looks like in her mid 20 greets the both of you, she have short black hair and a green uniform and a little pin on the breast part of her uniform spell out 'katheryne'. Which you assume was her name.

"hello! I was wondering do you have any open world game?".

You instantly ask her, not caring about the suspicious store, you don't even care about the insides of the place. You just wanted to play a open world game that's full of interesting stuff. The girl name katheryne hums in understanding and goes behind the table to look for a game you requested. Chelz grabs your hand and shout whisper to you.

"this place is creepy y/n. Let's get out of here".

Chelz scold you, you sigh and looks at her calmly shaking your head no.

"it's fine, were fine, what's the worst thing that could happen?".

You whisper back with a lighter tone. Really you don't care if this place comes out of nowhere you just want your game, you're smiling stupidly while waiting for the girl.

"anywayyy if anything happened, Sidia is here, she'll be able to protect us using her fighting style knowledge thingy".

Sidia scoffed and fold her arms, looking at you as if you're crazy.

"i will leave you alone and save myself".

You laugh and was about to slap her back when she holds your hand and rolls her eyes at you.

"such a tsun tsun".

You laugh out, she slowly and gently let your hand away. From the corner of your eye you can see katheryne walking towards the counter. You immediately jump and went towards her.

"this is the only open world game that i found".

She said, you look at the weird japanese like word, assuming it was the title you try to read what is said.. you don't understand it but the design was cool though.

"this is a open world game called genshin impact. I will not spoil the story but i think this game might be the game you're looking for".

Her confidence is seeping in on your game needy state so you decided to purchase it, not thinking twice. Sidia face palm while Chelz just sigh, feeling tired of your hot headed act.

"it will be 2$".

You felt giddy, you can't help it. It's cheap and is a open world game, that is a steal. After taking your stuff, the both of your friend immediately pull you away from the store.

"okay y/n. You got what you need, that place is sus i tell ya".

Sidia said, Chelz nods her head and fix her black glasses, she stare at you while furrowing her eyebrows.

"you gotta stop doing reckless thing. Who knows what that place is".

You sigh and nod, rolling your eye. You giggle anyway and put the game in front of you.

"i know.. but were safe! I wanna try and play it when i get home".

Sidia and Chelz just sigh, what can they do anyway. On the way home you and your friends goes on your own separate way as usual, you jog towards your home, feeling giddy to play the new game.

You take a bath, and goes straight to your computer, opening the plastic wrapper on the game. You insert the disc and started to wait for the loading screen.

And oh gosh.. isn't it pretty, the cutscene the art. Everything. So the game basically tells you about the story of two traveller, who was travelling from world to world until suddenly a mysterious god appears, took one of the twins and take away the other twins power, and now you're playing as the twin who was looking for their missing sister.

You look at the wishing button, tempted to wish for a character, you decided to pull. Expecting a cool banner of the current character instead, you're greets by a white screen.

"hm.. should i restart it?".

You mumble to yourself, nodding in agreement at your words, you close the disc and pulls out the game from your computer. You take a nearby wipe and wipe the back disc gently and then put it back in on the computer.

The game is launching when suddenly you felt a huge and sudden headache comes over you.

"ugh-!".

You groan, gosh.. maybe it's because you have been staring at the screen for too long.. you thinks as a bumping headache keeps going at you.

While waiting for the game you decided to lay back a bit, rest your eyes and head.. this headache is not going away anytime soon if you keep waiting and staring at the screen.

Before you reach the bed, your body stumble forward and fall on to the floor, cannot control any part of your body you close your eyes and your mind went blank.

A darkness is all that you see.. a darkness is all that you're in.. you remember that the last time you are in your bedroom, playing genshin until a huge headache wave over you. Now that you're sense's is back something felt wrong.. you can tell you are laying on something.. it's not comfy but it's still felt quite nice.

You opened your eye slowly and look around the place, groaning as you stare at the half blue and half white wall. You look at your bed and this bed looks like one of the hospital bed..... Wait hospital bed?! You instantly look around frantically where the heck are you?!

"oh you're awake!".

A gentle calm voice echoed throughout the room. That voice sounds familiar.. you turn around and saw a girl with a nurse hat and a white dress, her cream coloured hair is put in a ponytail... Barbara?!.

You stare at her unbelievably. Act cool.. act like.. like a human.. yeah!. You think to yourself. You know this girl.. this girl is the free 4 star character that you'll get once you reach a certain level. Okay y/n.. play it cool.. just act like you don't know this place.

"why.. am i here?".

You look at the girl, she seems nervous to be around you ... Which is normal maybe. She walked beside you and take a cup of empty glass beside you and pour a pitcher full of water inside the glass half full and then take them, offering the glass to you.

"you're in Mondstat.. the land of freedom.."

A/n; GOD I'm so sorry it took a long time, i hope the 'cliffhanger' makes sense...? But! Thankyou for reading! I am working on part 2 so more will be incoming!!!

Dark Deity Pre-Release Character Opinions

This isn't actually a tier list, but someone helpfully created a template for this game and it's as good a way as any to do a little visual showcase for this cast. Characters are listed by their class sets, which are fixed but offer a nice variety in terms of promotion options. My opinions on each are as follows, from left to right in each row. Most characters have introductory profiles written up on the DD subreddit, if you'd like to check them out yourself.

Warriors

Alexa

You know those buff female blacksmiths in Echoes and Three Houses that some people wish were playable characters? That's pretty much Alexa. Can't say I'm too hyped about her myself, but warrior + tomboyish female character will do that for me...or not do it, I suppose.

Benji

Seems to have been written to become a meme, and I still can't decide whether that's clever or stupid. Kind of like Raphael only with a bigger emphasis on training than on eating, and with brotherly devotion replaced with brotherly angst that might theoretically go somewhere if the character isn't reduced to being a goofy joke all the time.

Fenton

Doesn't have a character profile, so as far as I know he's just a generic dwarf because DD swaps out its inspiration's loli dragons and other vaguely fetishistic shapeshifters for the two most cliché non-human races in Western fantasy. I wonder whether his VA will voice him with a Scottish accent, to go all in on the (ironic?) laziness. There are a handful of elves in the playable cast, but Fenton is the only dwarf so for better or worse he's representing.

Helena

She's the embodiment of the FE exotic swordswoman archetype, but curiously DD seems to have turned that broad ethnic brush inward. Helena's last name is apparently a Japanese verb, her art shows her with a spear (as in the association of the naginata with women), and she studied and trained in a monastery that seems to blend elements of Buddhism and Shintoism. Not sure how all that fits into the larger setting yet, but at this point she's still got more background development than Petra.

Irving

Our Hero, the one front and center on the cover art. He sounds a bit on the blander side as far as lords or lord equivalents go, with his most promising hook for me being his established friendship with Garrick (see the ranger section). At best I can hope for a bit of a romantic friendship dynamic, although they sound a bit rougher overall as they're military academy schoolmates I wonder why DD went with that instead of lordlings of different territories.

Rogues

Brooke

Looks like Camilla; has a backstory like Niles. Cleavage aside though the sexual element of both is toned down here, and there might be some sapphic bodyguard shenanigans to be had as her current employers are a pair of highborn sisters further down this list.

Cia

For some reason she reminds me of Tressa from Octopath Traveler, only bustier and a bartender rather than a merchant. She's still just a small town girl with big city dreams, and this being a tactical war game following those dreams will inevitably involve stabbing people.

Corvan

Hard to judge him at the moment, as his profile was only the second written and so isn't terribly detailed. He's a moon elf with scholarly interests, apparently. Still, as of right now he's the only rogue who doesn't slot loosely into either a ninja/assassin or pirate aesthetic, so that's kind of neat. Also, he's one of several characters to have FEH-esque beach fanart made of them already, so clearly someone's into elf twinks.

Ford

A former officer at the military academy Irving attends and a smuggler who dotes on his niece, Ford has major dad energy. Per developer reveals he's also bi, and as I mentioned before I'm totally fine with that. More bear sex, please - but what guy in this cast would hop in the sack with Ford? Only time will tell. His personal skill makes him extra dodgy, which combined with the mug of booze in his art makes me think of WoW brewmasters who dodge-tank through the power of being wasted.

Wren

Like Brooke, he's an assassin from a foreign nation - in his case the same one as Helena so presumably he's a not!Japanese ninja. I'm not really feeling him at the moment. What is it about Hao'Fen (the city/territory he and Helena come from) and massive families? That comes up in both their backstories.

Rangers

Caius

I feel like this is the third or fourth character to grow up in some slum or other; at least they've all been in different towns so far. The relative rarity of noble characters is certainly different from FE, but it reduces the political stakes which leaves me wondering a bit about the story. Anyway, Caius is a small town desert hunter who learned how to make arrows out of animal bones. How aerodynamic is bone, I wonder?

Garrick

Irving's BFF and seemingly the Hector to Irving's Eliwood, only with more flirting (his intro doesn't specify that Garrick is flirting with women, but I'm not going so far as to say that indicates anything). He's the academy headmaster's son, with a strained relationship with his father for some of that hotheaded lead tension. Notably, his VA is the one I'm most familiar with in this cast, as he's the voice of Revali from Breath of the Wild as well as love interests in two different erotic gay dating sims I've played. In other words, I know what this guy sounds like making awkwardly simulated sex noises...and I have no idea what to do with that information.

Maeve

She's a half-elf with a very storied background, so much so that it's all rather hard to follow her exploits when little of what's being described has been fully revealed yet. I'm expecting her to be a mid/lategame recruit, unless she's dropped in early on to reveal that (sun) elves exist or something.

Rose

Imagine if Bernadetta were a commoner, although we can only hope they'll be less screaming. Alternatively, Neimi without an obvious boyfriend. She won the beach contest so now she has official swimsuit art, which I guess makes her a top-tier waifu in the eyes of players who care about such things.

Sophia

A ranger in the "has animal companions" sense, although whether that will come into play mechanically aside from her personal skill - Butter the ferret can attack with her! - remains to be seen. Her preference for the company of animals is explained by a lack of social graces, so prepare for klutz-related humor. Of note to those interested in F/F is that her introduction specifically brings up her connection with Sloane (see the mage section) and how close the two of them are.

Clerics

Faust

Doesn't have a profile yet, so not much to go off other than his decidedly unhinged look. The cleric class set does feature some darker-flavored options, so presumably he's more naturally aligned with those. His VA was announced to be the YouTuber behind So This is Basically Fire Emblem and other similar videos, so I'm picturing a kooky and somewhat demented Henry type.

Lincoln

Also lacks a profile at time of writing...clerics get so little love. The Discord has identified him a bland blond paladin sort, but as we know from the likes of Perceval and especially Dimitri that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be boring (or not gay).

Maren

The soft-spoken healer type, and also a childhood friend of Garrick although her intro sibling-zones him but then this game is inspired by FE so who knows if that'll stick. She may have some interesting thoughts on the theology of the setting, as there seem to be several faiths and she's said to have a complicated relationship with her own. I will be utterly shocked if she's not either Irving or Garrick's eventual love interest.

Samara

One of two princesses of the country of Aramor, which appears to be loosely inspired by the Middle East. Heaven help us if the Khalidstans ever get wind of this game. Unfortunately aside from her bond with her older sister (in the mage section) and the knowledge that Brooke has been hired as their bodyguard there's not much to Samara at the moment. Hopefully the clerics all do some comparative theology in their bond conversations, and this isn't like Sacred Stones where none of the clergy characters from different countries ever compare notes. The succession crisis involving Samara and her sister vs. their less-loved cousin the king's son might be a major plot hook? It's still too early to tell.

Vesta

Much like Maeve her backstory has entirely too much going on to really follow at the moment. Basically she's a human who grew up in a sun elf city because Reasons (seriously, I don't know what they are) and was called to a clerical vocation and also something about taking a journey. Has an unfortunate case of silly boob armor, which unlike a certain other character probably won't be rectified this close to release.

Mages

Alden

Maren's precocious younger brother, also basically Ricken up to and including the comically oversized hat. As a unit he follows the tradition of Donnel, Mozu, and Cyril of having a personal skill that buffs his stat gains, so it's safe to say he's a growth unit. At least he'll probably join early.

Liberty

Comes with dead brother angst and a connection to the "aspects" system that will hopefully make more sense once I've played the game and know how it functions both mechanically and from a storytelling perspective. Otherwise she looks to be a busty older - as in, not a teenage - mage in the vein of Calill.

Monroe

Got the first ever character profile, so it's really short. He's the son of a duke and sounds like a bit of a snob, albeit one that can make explosions happen to back up his haughtiness. He's got some scarring around his eye that surely must come with a story. Someone also made featured fanart of him in Heroes summer banner style, so I guess he's got somebody horny already.

Sara

Samara's half-sister, with comparable fantasy Middle Eastern flavoring. Has an interest in discovering magical artifacts and being a just ruler in the event she winds up on the throne (so, almost definitely), and she and Samara travel around with the assassin Brooke as their bodyguard. There's maybe some lesbian possibilities there? Either way, Sara has enough development where I could see her as a major supporting character.

Sloane

Comes with a genuinely fascinating backstory involving manipulative double-crossing parents, an education in the cruelties and deceptions of social life (reflected in her personal skill), and disinheritance - and yet it's all likely to be overshadowed because she may go down as DD's equivalent to Fates's face-touching. Her initial art is even more revealing than Camilla's, and while the developers later gave her a more modest redesign after negative feedback I get the feeling that this controversy may live on. Her introduction mentions her hunting for both heirs and heiresses and she's now been linked to Sophia, so safe to say she's another confirmed bi character.

Adepts

While the other class sets are standard fantasy fare adepts require a bit more explanation. They have innate magical abilities and appear to be feared and distrusted most places in the setting. Functionally they remind me of adepts from the Golden Sun series, if anyone is familiar with those games. The classes in the adept group tend more toward physical/magical hybridization than those of other sets, so that will probably be their mechanical niche. Oh, and their default weapon type is lances, which is a plus in my book.

Aurima

Along with Caius and the royal sisters, he's another one from the desert nation of Aramor. An arena fighter who got touched by a god in what I assume was a non-sexual way and came out of it with a new appearance and adept powers. Also, he's confirmed to be over 40 - how often do you see that in games like this?

Bianca

Looks like a more carefree Mathilda from Echoes. She's a ranking officer in the Delian army which sounds like it'd sit uneasily with her adept powers. Her profile describes Lincoln as her close friend, which is still about the most we know about him at this point.

Elias

This guy's writing plays more into the fairly standard coding that comes with adept powers, as we know they manifested shortly before he was going to confess his feelings to a male paramour and afterwards he was forced to flee his homeland and wander the world. He also spent time among dwarves, so insert short bear jokes here? In the present he's attached to Cia in what seems to be a platonic way; maybe she's a fruit fly, or maybe she just likes having a friend who can light drunken assholes on fire? Elias is definitely into guys, but I would still be a little surprised if he turned out to be totally gay as that's such a rarity in these sorts of things.

Iris

Oof, another lengthy and rough backstory. Iris had better parents than Sloane, but she also had to deal with permanent facial scarring (hence the mask) after a bandit kidnapping and the stigma of manifesting as an adept pretty much eliminating the prospects of her making a good political marriage. Also, she and Elias both come from Neullais, which is prominently featured on the continental map on the DD subreddit but doesn't seem to come up all too often in backstories. I think it's a not!France? Hard to tell.

Thae'lanel

A World of Warcraft blood elf, flowing anime hair and apostrophe'd name and all. I like WoW so that's not terribly grating, but as he has no profile yet there's little else I can say. Thae'lanel is mentioned in Maeve's introduction as a member of a sun elf group called the Exiled, which I'm guessing is tied to his adept status in some way. He and Maeve form yet another adventurer/bodyguard duo.

would you recommend dragalia? ive been eyeing it for a while (not like i need another gacha game) but idk how it works

OOO HELL YEAH I RECOMMEND DRAGALIA

first off, it's one of the fairest gacha games i've ever played. i've tried a few — the battle cats, kh union cross, animal crossing pocket camp, pokemon masters, ff brave exvius — and none of them come CLOSE to how generous dragalia is. very steady stream of summon currency, they lowered it a bit recently but its still pretty decent, 250~ summons a month if i remember correctly but that sounds really off haha... its summon system also features a pity rate, where every 10 summons you do without summoning a 5-star, you get an increased chance to summon one in subsequent summons. they also recently introduced wyrmsigils: every summon you do earns you a wyrmsigil, get 300 and you can just pick from the rate-up characters on the banner. 300 sounds like a lot but its not really!!

even if you didn't summon a 5-star, a lot of 4 and even 3 stars are just as good if not better sometimes. they're constantly buffing old adventurers, so you don't have to continously summon the new ones bc of powercreep!

adding to how generous it is, its very kind to newbies and free-to-players. upgrade materials aren't stupidly hard to come by and newbies get so many rewards to start them off. i will say the recent update made the wyrmprint system harder to access especially for newcomers, bc the cost of upgrading your prints has skyrocketed... lots of people complained so i'm hoping they change it, even i'm struggling with the stupid thing

the game itself is really fun imo, just the right level of difficulty for me, lots of different playstyles for all the weapon types and adventurers. its just repeatedly tapping the screen to hit things but like? its so fun??? the 2nd anniversary happened 2 months ago and it overhauled nearly the entire game, including buffing almost the whole roster so EVERYONE is at least decent (except vice. he got nerfed. such an injustice.)

along with that the game is constantly uodated with new events every 1-2 weeks, they may all kind of be the exact same gameplay but somehow i barely ever get tired of it.

what i really like is all the extra content you get alongside the main campaign and events!! every adventurer and dragon you can get comes with a story you can read, there's extra castle stories which are similar little skits, and it has a joke comic strip, reminiscent of newspaper funnies, with an ultra cute art style that i ADORE. honestly some of the side plotlines are better than the main one... (i am talking specifically about heinwald, curran and lathna)

almost every character is really unique and charming, so many really varied designs which i love. best one is orsem of course, i will not be persuaded otherwise this is non-negotiable

OOOO AND THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD... they collaborate with a lot of different artists so a lot of the recent events especially have unique themes. checkmate, we are the lights, bon fever, force your way, cinderella step and bokurano network are personal favorites! and the menu theme from the fire emblem collab... so good

speaking of collabs, its also done ones with mega man and monster hunter, granblue fantasy characters make appearances and theres the princess connect collab coming up! i know nothing about those series but maybe you do? idk

main drawback is the 5+gb space it requires hdgjfjtdjf i can't even try genshin impact bc of it... i have no room :(
