⤷ can't say no to her. has the weakest resolve for his little girl. once she looks at him with your features and his eyes, it's over. he folds at every single request. she's got her wrapped around her tiny pinky! and she knows it too!

⤷ always a present father. goes to every extracurricular, school event, birthday party, play date, recital .. you name it! satoru is there and he's cheering the loudest.

⤷ perpetually has traces of glitter on him. has a horrible manicure and pedicure at all times. will sometimes leave the house with a few bows in his hair because his sweet baby girl wanted dad to match with her for the day

⤷ nothing is off limits when he's spending time with her. if he ends up getting his makeup done, or his nails painted, that's fair game! he's gonna love it no matter what! he's gonna dress up like a pretty princess or wear a tiara or fairy wings if it means his baby girl is happy!

⤷ protective dad satoru makes my heart melt. i fear when his girls are older he'll be like ok so men ain't shit 🤨 you can date when you're 40 and i'm in a casket 6 feet under 🤨 and then would fold immediately

⤷ learns how to do her hair to spend time with her in the morning <3 always tells her how beautiful she looks on the inside and out. just raises the most confident, glowing little angel around

⤷ satoru is seemingly allergic to calling her by her name. it's always "princess" or "love" or "munchkin" or "my angel." he just melts hearing her little giggle when he calls her anything but her actual name

⤷ did i mention protective dad satoru? when she's still a newborn, he'd be so worried about her, he'd just stay up all night in her nursery while she slept. you never understood why people didn't sleep with newborns, because frankly, satoru offered to be up with her as often as possible while you got your beauty rest

⤷ all in all, it brings him closer to you. he adores your patience and strength as a partner and parent to your little girl, and seeing you play with her and hold her and just be an amazing parent makes him melt inside !!! you're gonna make this man want to create an entire basketball team roster of kids runnin' around

i guess the one thing that makes me really. really fucking sad about how things have panned out for tom and shiv is that for shiv, tom isn't just her husband. he's like a three-in-one pseudo-antidad/therapist/pet to her LMAO but like. he's literally her best friend. and only friend even because?? shiv doesn't have any other friends. her bridesmaids showed up once on her wedding day then were never seen again meaning she likely hired them? which is SO SAD? lisa? they had a "friend relationship" but like. it's clearly in the past tense and had been for quite some time now (and good for lisa!) the only other person you could say she confided in was nate, and she actively tries not to let her guard down around him too much because she, on some level, perceives him as a threat. like the onlyyyy person she confides in is tom! ("honey, you're the only person i can talk to about this stuff") her default setting whenever literally anything happens is to run home and tell tom. she's like i HAVE to tell tom right now or im gonna implode! and of course she could tell he has a certain snake-like quality to him because hes cozying up to her abusive dad and i think shiv at least in s1 was at least aware enough to go like 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 at this. but shes effectively castrated and married him, so he's all good and love is 26 different things but fuck it i love you. and now she's perpetually running around because she's got no home base anymore and she's got her brothers, sure, but not really, and it is sad it's literally a waking nightmare my therapist was wrong and i was right

- Bro… so I was looking at air moons n was losing my mind. I collected a bunch of Aquarius moons celebs cause I was like let me see who of my people is famous 🫡 and it was so sad. They all had some sort of very traumatic, difficult past. I also noticed that people wouldn’t think these people have suffered to such extremes due to the image they put on. We have to remember Aquarius is know as caring of the collective, which despite Saturn’s influence, makes it a very hopeful sign. With Uranus they’re looking toward the future with hopes of finding something better.

- one thing I love about earth placements at their best, especially mercury, is how blunt they can be with what they feel. Again, I think this is the placements at their best. - When it comes to a situation where someone needs to take charge… if there is a water sign, they will try to take the lead but could fail due to a lack of diligence or just not being taken serious. - I didn’t understand fire placements being seen as egotistical until I saw it this way. well, as you said - it's a concept. it's a child's idea of how stuff works (because of course it is), but also a representation of an idea. Daniil is the controversial groundbreaking scientist from the big city, so he has his..lab..thing; the backstory I think is very much meant to be... "archetypal" in a way, rather than specific.

that being said, I have been for months poking at a prequel fic so I do have some more... grounded headcanons. so in that universe, existing for purposes of writing out an actual plot as opposed to purposes of analysing the game purely theoretically, well. it is a disused laboratory space that Daniil talked the university administration into giving to him, with the backing of one of his teachers; it is, then, briefly, something with the ambitions and prospects of becoming an entire department, or maybe even an institution unto itself, but that never quite came to pass. it's kinda funny because sometimes the way Daniil talks about it sounds like a whole research institute he established, which given his age and degree, I'm 🤨 doubtful; but then again of course, as per my first point, it doesn't need to make sense in real world terms. but in the grounded universe, I'm gonna say it was a small semi-independent research group in an almost perpetual state of struggling for its own viability, but Daniil is at a certain point reflexively making it sound grander to convince himself and everyone else that this is really something. he's not lying, he just really believes in himself, god bless him.

10. any idea what will happen to them in the bachelor route?

god, I don't know. mainly just keeping my fingers crossed they'll get fleshed out nicely, and hoping for some good conversations; loved talking to the Stamatins in classic but in p2 their dialogue was kinda meh, but hoping that's just because they weren't relevant enough to Artemy's journey. but idk, I've made no secret of the fact that patho classic and the characters as they appear there are very dear to me and I'm very attached to them and the prospect of a new version scares me a little because p2 was an extremely mixed bag for me, doing some things I really liked, some I was neutral to, and quite a few I really disliked, so. I wanna trust IPL but I do not entirely, and prefer not to make any theories or wishlists.

Actually no you know what im back here and I'm upset about it.

Some of these where theyre players whove specifically played to injure or with ill intent i get the hostility and other ones I'm not familiar enough with them to comment. but for some of these, specifically trevor zegras or conor garland or jeff skinner I'm very 🤨 about why they're on here. If not for the fact that theyre smaller or less hyper masculine then a "typical" hockey player. I remember see that one clip of a guy who went on a podcast and proudly said that he wanted to "knock [Jeff skinners] teeth out" after hearing that his goal song was soaring, flying from high school musical. Like is that a normal healthy reaction? That's something you're proud to go and say in public, on record, attached to your face? 1. my favourite guys... grants whole rebellion thing went incredibly south and in the nes translation i recall him saying dracula killed his family, so theres nobody for him to really introduce trevor to; and we're completely in the dark regarding the status of any family members trevor has, so im not sure on that. but i think trevor would have a lot of concerns about *having* a family with grant, after the way the belmonts have been treated for so long, so... i think that if they did, theyd probably give them the danasty name, just to be safe, and perhaps to give grant a bit of peace after his living relatives possibly all got mega mauled by draculas girl gang army

2. okay we know that the entirety of loi is walters favourite movie until the very end, lets not kid ourselves. even after that, i think walter would find leon at the very least incredibly intriguing. rinaldo says to leon at the very beginning that "he must really like you" which, HMMMM, but also has implications for any later developments after both their lives go completely down the drain. i think that no matter what they did after loi (possibly go on a dual revenge quest assuming alt ending, because we all know walter would be THE WORST influence), walter would regard it as a new sort of game, leon of course still at the centre: very entertaining indeed

3. FATE HUH. FATE. the successor of fate and the funny skeleton man doing everything he can to perpetuate that fate... we love to see it!! their dynamic in the game is incredibly interesting, with this being the (as far as release date goes?) first showcase of deaths down to clown attitude when it comes to helping slash not attacking 'enemies' if it doesnt endanger his master. hes flexible! and juste, in turn, doesnt attack him until death starts a fight. they cooperate for a bit! despite immediately recognising juste as a belmont (colour of his soul? idk thats kinda 🤨) death gives him some answers juste wouldnt have realised on his own and leaves him be until he himself actually realises "oh shit dracula time i gotta go prep", even though it wouldve been easier to deal with juste before he got more gear and whatnot, and juste showa him the same courtesy. theyre also kind of snippy? which is fun! they banter! the whole parallels thing juste has going on with leon is especially obvious, and especially fun when it comes to them. not death letting things slide because juste reminds him a bit of leon :p ahhh doomed relationships

4. arid huh? hmmm...

theyre both. both definitions. after loi, their relationship is a pit, a giant swathe of burned and dead land between them; nothing can ever grow there again, except for the hardiest weeds, the fruit of hate and loathing. and too, after loi, their lives are arid. meaningless. aside from vengeance leon has nothing, and now that hes had his vengeance mathias has nothing. their lives are dull and empty. quirky huh

this one is a bit of a silly unserious question but i was re-reading that "college group + horror" post and it mentions that Wisteria tends to get small crushes on horror slasher characters. i remembered that she likes when her Darling acts possessive so i was wondering about how she'd react if faer darling got kinda jealous over it? like not enough to pick a fight over it since this would be actual insane behaviour, just get like kinda huffy (🤨😒😤) enough for her to notice it 😭

I mean, when she’d suggested a movie date, you’d really imagined cuddling or making out on the couch while a movie played in the background, not actually watching the movie… Which was probably your own fault, you begrudgingly admit to yourself. Wisteria had said what they’d meant; you were the one that had read too much into it…

Wisteria brings the blanket up past faer chin, hiding her smile as she listens to you grumble to yourself. It’s not often Wisteria would do anything to deny your attention, but your jealousy is just so cute that they can’t help but play up their fascination with the movie.

Fae hadn’t really crushed on slashers since meeting you. You take up her whole mind and heart, leaving no real room for others. Her admiration for them remained, but all of her affection was yours. Wisteria can’t help but imagine you in the place of the slasher for a moment, wondering if you’d kill for faer… even if you would kill faer, too, just so nobody else could have them…. How you might go about it, how you might look during it…

Wisteria flushes at the thought, shaking it away before they can get too worked up. She could bask in the warm glow of your jealousy and the thought of you covered in others’ blood all night long, but you seem impatient, so they decide to have some mercy on you. Wisteria stretches, then shivers a little.

“Mm, this blanket just isn’t warm enough…” her big, perpetually sad doe eyes peek up at you from under faer bangs.

Slowly, to give you time to protest should you choose to, Wisteria crawls under your blanket and onto your lap, dragging her blanket over yours to combine their warmth. To faer delight, you let out a satisfied sigh and pull faer closer, letting her lean against you. Wisteria grabs one of your hands, pressing a kiss over the knuckles and holding it to her chest.

I was listening to a random podcast I stumbled on, and in the podcast Pedro was mentioned. I think it is no secret that Pedro is queer and likes both 🚹 & 🚺, but the host of the podcast who was clearly gay, he couldn't recognise that Pedro was queer, and kept referring to Pedro as "heterosexual". I'm just wondering your and anyone else's thoughts on this, if you notice it too all over the web, that Pedro is very rarely recognised by gay people as being queer, and they assume he is straight. I think it’s a combination of factors. First, many people just think of “straight” as the “default” sexuality, so if you haven’t said anything “officially” they just assume you’re straight. Also, majority of people just don’t care and don’t pay that much attention to Pedro to think about it or have an opinion on it. Others don’t want to assume, which falls in the “default heterosexuality” mindset. And I don’t even say that as a direct criticism to them, it’s more like the way society was built and perpetuated for so long. However, it’s funny, isn’t it? The way *certain people*, aka, the bigoted dumbasses, go around defining his sexuality by the way he talks, dresses, even the way he eats chicken wings or because he is wearing a full denim outfit (? 🤨) and say “oh because I have friends in the industry and everyone knows”. The same as trying to act like they are profound connoisseurs of the LGBTQIA+ community, especially the gay community, and know how they think. Yeah, right, Karen. 😅😅

I’m not sure if this was asked before but what crowd does Uriel fall into at school? He got any friends? 🤨

I'm trying to write Uriel as much of a nerd as I can. He draws a lot, he asks tons of questions, and while he does act like a child that's because he is one. When he's older I can imagine he settles with a circle that's more akin to a study group than anything else. (Something Logan's probably relieved about lmao. Perpetually paranoid.)

As for friends, he does have friends!

In Repentance he has the Group Chat, which I use as a plot tool. (They're the ones who motivate him to find the patch Keegan gave him.)

J (Or "Jay") Barf (Barto) and Izz (Izzie, Isabele, Isabella.) They're all around the same age as Uriel, and we haven't seen Uriel actually interact with them outside the chat. However, I did give them different type-styles to try and distinguish their personalities.

J is the most mature. J checks Barf and Izz when J thinks they're peer pressuring him a bit too much. J uses perfect punctuation and capitalization, but occasionally uses shorthand like "U2." J also regularly makes references to American media.

J: What else did u2 get up to? Uriel, you weren’t such a scoundrel when we lived at the same base.  J: Ur dad seems cool but I can’t forget my first time meeting him… felt like I was being interrogated. 

Barf staunchly refuses to use periods, refuses to capitalize, regularly spells words wrong, uses emojis. He's the childish one, if the weird nickname didn't give it away. He also refuses to acknowledge his birth name: "Barto"

Barf: barto? whos barto? my name is barf  Barf: even i got a story about ur dad remember we skipped and tryd going to the park but he found us while we were still walking to the park how did he even do that 

Izz and J are pretty similar in text style, because both use good punctuation and that, but Izz almost never uses shorthand. She will however, use emojis.

Izzie: Am not! You two could have gotten kidnapped, you know.  Izzie: Guys, please! Not again. :( 

(Uriel's text style is as similar to my writing style as I could make it. I wanted to give the vibe that the story really is just his thoughts, seeing as it's one big flashback for him.)

Unfortunately, the precious quartet has only been in one chapter so far. Chapter 2. However, I do hope to feature them again. It was very fun figuring out their interactions and how they might all react to each other.

Later in the story Uriel makes another few friends. Or, they make him, seeing as they're the ones who seek him out. Axel, little sister Jasmine, twins Jan and Jace, and the oldest of the lot: Val.

Uriel and Axel wind up getting along very well, and it was enjoyable to write them. How do two kinda dumb 12 year olds interact? Well, Axel shoves his face in Uriel's face and neither of them mind very much. (They're so very cute.)

(I’m pretty sure it’s meant for black crystal which is the name of the drug they are investigating and not for B.C in reference to the year. Though Lola is also one of the oldest vampires so it could be a reference to that)

Beth’s being a tad mean to the models like yeah they help promote unhealthy beauty standards but you don’t have to insult them

Mick’s house being broken into for like the 7th time

Also how does Mick sleep with his freezer light on? I can stand even the smallest amount of light

Josef “I’m looking for someone” and Micks “and you think they’re in here?” Like come on Josef you could’ve waited till he was awake

Dolores Maxford Witford (Lola) is one of the names on the vampire hunters list but isn’t marked off. I’ll try to get a picture when I get to that episode

“Just a tinge of condensation” maybe a bit more of a tinge

And now Carl’s stress level is rising because Beth is at another one of his crime scenes

Josh “I’m going to ask you not to follow this story” yeah Josh we both know that Beth isn’t going to follow your advice

Mick gushing over Lola is cute in hindsight when you know that was Alex o’loughlins girlfriend at the time

Yet another case where Mick and Beth are working cases/stories that intersect

“This is L.A county morgue not help you autopsy” I feel like all the vampires who work in the morgue have had Mick bugged them at one point or another

I think the technician that Beth is talking to appears in a previous episode as an extra

Beth stealing evidence again

Mick and Beth running into each other at the morgue again and being completely awkward with each other

Talking about the kiss and Mick calling it an accident and Beth being all “oh okay”

“I asked you not to follow the story” Josh you’ve been with Beth for a year now, you should know that she was never going to listen

“She didn’t steal it” oh Josef you’re a softy after all

Some of the transition’s definitely date the show, not negatively but it’s clear this came out in the mid-2000’s and not in the 2020’s

“I walked all the way here” Mick: 🤨“why?!”

“Did you try some of that drug?”

“Yeah it tasted really weird”

And Mick’s tone when he said “yeah that’s cause it’s vampire blood”

“There’s no space between us” Mick 😬 “oh there’s space”

Like we know our protagonist and hero isn’t going to take advantage of our heroine and clearly intoxicated female lead but they do drag it out a little too long

Once again the music choice is great

Mick still wanting to cling to his humanity and remember what it’s like to be human is so sad because he’ll never get to be human again

“That’s not like me at all”

“Actually you said it was the real you”

Beth helping Mick destroy evidence and hid the truth about vampires

I give this episode 8 out of 10 wooden stakes I like the concept of vampire blood being used as a drug to mimic what being a vampire is like without turning a person into a vampire but I don’t Like how we know our protagonist and hero isn’t going to take advantage of our heroine and clearly intoxicated female lead but they drag it out a little too long

28. Why do they keep secrets?

Elizabeth - well she made a pact with a powerful vampire to get warlock powers & become a dhampir to enact bloody revenge on people LMAO so she's got that reason to keep secrets. she also keeps secrets even before that happened because she's really Bad at fully expressing her feelings which has caused her to let more than one thing slip away from her 

Primrose - my god she just does not believe in herself At All (at least she didn't in the beginning she was getting a lot better) and constantly thinks she's A Burden to the people around her, so she keeps things secret for fear of driving people away if they ever learned anything bad. she's also afraid of really Letting People In & ever getting close to someone on account of her whole family getting Murdered and very much links secret sharing with trusting someone

36. What makes them blush?

Elizabeth - she's a real classy lady so real stereotypical things GET to her, like flowers? kissing her hand? invitations to dance? love letters?? all get her bad. she also has a quirk of really liking the color of people's eyes and often ends up staring real deeply into anyone she thinks has pretty ones & when she realizes it Immediately blushes

Primrose - apparently, someone being a handsome roguish fellow lmao, she's kinda hard to fluster overall though she's very Confident when it comes to flirting & relationships so not much really gets her to blush but romantic gifts & other affirming actions will get to her, and she also secretly wishes constantly for someone to buy her flowers for once, like as she often says to herself "is it really so hard to guess what kind id like?? 🤨"

48. What do they want to leave behind?

Elizabeth - honestly, she mostly has the opposite problem of already having had too much stuff left behind & her constantly wishing things would stay. she's lost a couple people real important to her and that perpetually stays with her and she's constantly afraid by the passage of time all around her, which since has only gotten Worse since becoming a dhampir & realizing that the world will age around her and she Won't. for things she Does want to leave behind, i suppose her perceived weakness she feels she once had that left her unable to protect someone

Primrose - kinda the same as Elizabeth, she mostly wants to stop having things left behind, but one thing she definitely wants to leave behind is her old superficial & selfish self. she had an incredibly pampered, easy life and was mostly blind to the hardships of the world around her and was incredibly sheltered, and even if it's also been pretty Terrifying for her experiencing the world, it's also been SO good & exciting for her and she's become a real caring and loving person

51. What makes them a hypocrite?

Elizabeth - she constantly laments the people in her life who have left, but for some of them (particular her ex who she is Definitely Over Don't Worry About It) she never made any effort to ever tell them how she really felt or explain how she would go with them since she's so caught up in her own self pity to realize that they Want to stay in contact with her if she'd only say so. she also set out on a revenge spree to enact some Bloody Retribution against a violent act by....... becoming a dhampir who becomes Incredibly violent & bloodthirsty in combat

Primrose - constantly pushes people away and actively avoids letting people get close while simultaneously bemoaning that she feels like a burden to the people around her and fully convincing herself everyone is going to leave her, and then when push comes to shove SHE is the one more likely to run away

The new showrunner wrote episode 8, so I’m not that optimistic that S3 would handle the Kate/Edwina relationship sensitively or carefully.

I’m of two minds - they love cheap drama so I can see them drawing out the tension more (yes they “make up” but lbr that relationship would be strained for years) or alternatively they’ll sweep it under the rug and not address it again. I think I’d prefer the latter tbh. The show couldn’t be bothered to properly set up and explore Kate and her family dynamic in her own season, I don’t think they’ll care to now.

Who really knows in what capacity Edwina will appear atp. It might be only a cameo. Shelley Conn booked another role and is filming that now. I’m not sure how they can explain away Mary’s absence but Edwina is still in town? Like there’s literally no where else for Mary to be other than with her daughter. Though she barely featured S2 maybe she’ll be “there” but perpetually off-screen. They can have Edwina marry the prince off-screen but come to London for a visit for an episode. Maybe when Kate gives birth? Idk his schedule, but I’m not sure Freddie Stroma would want to return to Bridgerton for series 3 to marry a side character? Netflix is cheap so it’s unlikely they’d offer a nice cheque to entice him.

honestly anon i feel like you’re going to disagree but i don’t feel the problem with ep 8 was the writing itself. it sure left things to be desired but i feel like the problem with a lot of s2 was that there was no time to truly develop some things… kate and anthony definitely got it bad, they had such little screentime, so many lost opportunities of scenes that would add so much to them (even with what was already in the show like an expanded library scene! expanded wedding conversation!) but i think the second contender for heavily butchered was the sharma family dynamic. SO many gaps left unfilled… i saw someone say it seems like they REALLY wanted the wedding in epi 6 and kinda worked the season around that which i def agree with… that leaves two episodes for the resolution of the entire emotional core of the season and yeah that just wasn’t gonna happen in two episodes esp when edwina is (rightfully) angry for the entirety of one of them. for what they had to do i really don’t hate the writing in episode 8 considering the episodes that came before it. so jess being the showrunner doesn’t really tell me a lot tbh i think if they have kate and anthony as a b plot and give them as much time as they did the featheringtons then there is definitely potential for edwina & mary to be there in an enriching way to the show

i really hope they’ve figured out fans really don’t want the high drama they went with this season 😭 i don’t think it translated well with book fans and casual readers alike. i definitely felt like i was watching a telenovela sometimes 😭😭😭 which is a thing right but it doesn’t feel very bridgerton to me. it was a plot-driven season which made it feel a little contrived at times (at least to me) when i think it would’ve worked better as a character driven season. Ppl really aren’t tuning it to go oooh and aaah at grand weddings they are tuning in for the characters… i hope they scale it back in s3. and while i think they are probably going to sweep the sharmas under the rug - feels very much like what the heads of the show have done so far 🤨 - i’m gonna hold out hope bc i love them </3

yeah i listened to the podcast char was in and tbh it definitely sounds like she is being very vague about whether or not she’s gonna be in s3 so we shall see. i have a feeling they might do what they did with simon, mention them often but not have them appear 😔😔😔
