pulling an all nighter should be easy, right ? welcoming the company of the glistering stars above and the blissful silence that settled with dusk - what more could one ask for ? it should’ve been easy to swap the bustling noise of orkwell for its tranquil counterpart and take it all in, or that was what foxtail thought.

the steady tune of her heavy heeled boots against the cobbled path echoed across the hushed streets she gazed upon, views almost unrecognizable under the night - leaden yet glossed in dewy moonlight. her steps created a methodic rhythm, a small hum leaving her lips as she hugged her arms close to her chest while grasping onto her cloak in a weak attempt for warmth. it was late. no remainders of life to be seen across her journey as she made her way to her destination, heavy silence egging fox on to pick up her pace. foxtail never understood how enoch could stay up with the stars so effortlessly. perhaps they made better companions than she did, or he’d prop his eyelids up with toothpicks, hunched over his alchemy notes and scribbling words in ink. fox let out a snort of laughter just at the thought, shaking her head in mocking disapproval of herself. it was only 1am, yet the late hour had already taken a toll on foxtail as she covered her mouth and stifled a yawn.

as she finally approached the tower, that small smile still drawn against her coloured lips grew, quick to make her way to the entrance, practically skipping in excitement. regardless of whatever chaos was brewing at the top of that tower, it was always home. more of a home than most family had offered her anyway, not that she’d mention it. the peculiar smells of potions and their ingredients. mountains of notes and alchemy books sprawled across desks. the calming sounds of bubbling and brewing. bliss. peace. it was never an inviting place to be around to at first. but as fox grew familiar with its sight, the rugged exterior, seemingly left in tatters, was nothing but perfect imperfection to foxtail - especially when it left her with such a warming sense of emotion.

arguably, it was just like enoch redmond himself. where deep behind the snarky attitude and diabolical ways, she found a soul within that gave her the sense of home she had always desired. BAWLING MY EYES OUT)

hastily, foxtail entered the tower, scurrying up its crooked staircase with light footsteps, silenced for the sake of surprise. she felt like she knew them like the back of her hand, all the right steps to take, all the floorboards to avoid. as she grew closer to her target, a giddy, childish grin beamed from her lips, pearly whites and all. she was gonna scare the life out of him. fox could picture him now, nose buried in a book held in one hand while absentmindedly swirling a potion in the other. struggling to keep in her giggles as she fluttered across the last few steps, foxtail was too drunk on giddy excitement to notice her plan had already been so effortlessly foiled the moment she stepped foot inside.

alas, there enoch stood in all his glory, leaning against the doorframe which led on to his room with a small, cocky smirk of amusement. his arms were folded across his chest, the sleeves of his lab coat withered from years of dutiful service.

“boo.” enoch uttered mockingly, a monotonous tone drawling from scarred lips, exposed gums twitching upwards into a suppressed smile.

it almost sent foxtail tumbling back down the very steps she came, a short yet high pitched yelp escaping from her lips which immediately lead to her slapping her hand over her mouth in shock of herself screaming. poor foxtail’s heart almost leapt out of her very chest, fear-struck iris’ widened and frozen in place watching the cackling corpse in front of her.

enoch clutched his stomach as a maniacal cackle tumbled from his lips, head tilting back as his reams of laughter filled the nighttime’s silence. fox remained still as enoch laughed, hand still covering her mouth yet alongside it - the growth of a sunny smile as it sunk in, leading for her to wearily laugh alongside him. her eyes relaxed with their usual shining demeanour, watching him as he composed eventually.

enoch shook his head a little, adjusting the tinted goggles that rested against his tousled dark hair, “C for effort.” taking a step, he removed her hand away from her mouth (which she had completely forgot about in the moment) by grabbing her wrist gently, revealing her smile of disbelief that was briefly followed by a playful punch to the arm.

“i ought to pickle you in a brine one day.” she fake threatened with a mocking glare. enoch snorted, dropping her wrist and making his way back to the room where he emerged, keeping the door open. foxtail followed, “jerk. how did you know it was me?”

enoch spoke with a cheeksome look plastered across his face, closing the door behind her. “you’re lucky i did or i’d have sawed a limb off like some real intruder. plus you’re awful at holding in your laughter, i-” he was interrupted by his own train of thought, turning to face the girl and tilting his head in curiosity, “wait, why are you here this late? ”

there was the question. the question that, truly, foxtail didn’t have a real answer compiled for. “you. was just passing nearby.” it was followed by a simple shrug. “though i have f a r better people to spend my time with.” foxtail joked, unlatching her cloak and draping it around her usual spot, a timeless oak frame chair just beside his main desk, before plopping down on it herself.

“i’ve witnessed you barely keep a conversation with yourself, fox. unsurprisingly unlikely.” enoch retorted, walking over to said desk and to the opposite side where all his notes were littered in organised chaos, eyes glued to his most current project that was bubbling away softly under a safe flame. “couldn’t sleep?”

a weak smile drew her lips as the adrenaline of before already began to sink. “y-yep! it’s alright… the walk here was lovely. it was really-“

enoch cut her sentence short, “peaceful?” after being answered with a nod, enoch’s dark eyes briefly met hers, watching in curiosity for a few moments before snapping back to his work, “once the late nighters head home, it’s always like this. it’s nice.”

foxtail nodded once more in response, stifling another yawn as she tucked herself close to the desk and crossed her arms onto its surface, creating a pillow of sorts to rest her chin on. it used to throw enoch off quite a bit, but he had eventually gotten quite used to it, along with the majority of foxtail’s weird little quirks. her violet iris’ watched every move intently through the golden rimmed frames that sat on her nose, silent as a mouse as to not disturb the grand master at work. a pretty smile graced her lips. it was a comfortable silence that enveloped the two, one that dragged on for hours, cut only by the occasional query of inquisition - including in there were any snacks around.

“still don’t get why you’re here, fox. you should be asleep. you… you can.” enoch muttered as if to himself after a long moment of hours silence, adding a dash of sage to his mixture. foxtail in response, tilted her head, drowsy eyes glossed over in weariness yet content. her exhaustion got the best of her, mumbling in response with a dazed, loveable smile and almost closed eyes that gazed upat him through thick lashes.

“i just always feel so bad… it must suck not being able to sleep. but then, you should have someone around to keep you company. it’s only right. i’ve been trying to stay awake at night to join you for aaaaaaaaaaaaages..” foxtail paused before snorting a little laugh, “kept falling asleep. but i made it out the house without collapsing outside my door again today! a-HA !”

“you whAt-“

foxtail in response burst into a fit of giggles, muffling them by burying her head in her arms, leaving the t i n i e s t of smile’s to bud on the other’s scarred face. it really did sound foolish when saying it aloud, but she never regretted any of it. nothing. not the heights or the lows - no matter how low they truly got. this was but a small token of her gratitude, and all fox could hope was that it shone through and reached that rotten old heart of his.

another hour or so had passed and at last, enoch deemed his latest mix successful. it was a simple trick with the regeneration in fauna, or at least the reversal of it. enoch found it satisfying, watching in a daze as the lively array of test plants on his desk withered in their pots, being drained of their colors petal by petal. sure, they were a present from fox herself, but she’d only just get him more in response. it was the way she was, and enoch almost found himself rather,, glad.

turning to share the good news, enoch was met with an unsurprising site. propped up against her crossed arms, foxtail’s eyes were closed, dreaming, most likely. her head was rested against one of her arms, unkempt blue locks sprawled behind her. her nose would scrunch softly from time to time, her soft breathing indicating she had been fast asleep for some time.

she looked so … peaceful. her pointed ears were appeared drooped in comfort, sharp elfish features and bronzed skin highlighted by the soft glow of the candles that illuminated the room with the exact welcoming feeling and glistening aura that foxtail brought along with her everywhere. wasn’t there beforehand.

enoch stared at his sleeping companion for a brief moment, poking her just to make sure she truly was asleep, only to be met with some jumbled, sleepy mumbling about cheese bread and pink knights. he was careful not to burst into laughter, instead shaking his head and walking away. he’ll be sure to pester her about that later. swiftly returning with a blanket, enoch hesitated before draping it across her shoulders, watching fox snuggle against its warmth subconsciously and mumble under her breath.

“mmm, thanks…”

with one last look, enoch sighed softly before turning back to his work. not one of irritation or vexing. one of … calmness. he hasn’t felt that in a while.

neither of them had.

 Sero had the most amazing idea, but not for them to escape no, he has had the most amazing idea to make sure he finishes his weed.

S🕷: “...Wanna smoke with us 👀 I already rolled a joint and I can roll at least 4 more. Don’t wanna let it all go to waste 😃”

DB🔥: “Let them out of the cuffs. I need to smoke.”

At this point Shigaraki is over everything and decides to smoke to distract himself from the stupidity.

So, ya know, Sero does his thing and hands yall the other papers to roll up

*30 minutes and 5 joints later...*

DB🔥: “NO BUT LIKE ENDEAVOR IS A FUCKING B I T C H. HE CAN KISS MY BURNT ASS.”

 This smoke session somehow turned into a therapy session.

Eventually Dabi lets everything off of his chest and goes off pouting in your arms

To lighten up the mood Sero connects his phone to his speaker and picks whatever song came up first

Denki was the first one to get up and starts to rap the first verse. He knew it word for word.

Sero joined in after but also started dancing

uwu meter exploded and i ate dinner at 2am after watching this aka the sam and bucky show episode 5

The new episode was sO goOd omg tbh i didnt think i was gonna be able to watch it last night and i legit cried. But i did and i am very very thankful. Because it was a very very good episode. But before we start stOP reAdING cuz theres gonna be MASSIVE SPOILERS IN THIS POST.

Alrighty without further delay, the Sam and Bucky show episode 5 and all its best things (there are a lot, to no one’s surprise). Im gonna go in chronological order to avoid losing my mind.

1. The fight in the beginning. Omg. Walker looked like he was gonna do both Sam and Bucky in with the shield like 6 times and it was lowkey scary. And when Walker knocked bucky into the electric tower or whatever it was— skdjfjs i saw some people post abt Sam’s glare mid battle like “if this is sam looking at walker after he hurt bucky” anD IT ACTUALLY WAS marvel why.

2. Walker ripped Sam’s wings off omg. That was so brutal i audibly gasped. I think we’ve seen the wings being shot at or broken but never ripped clean off. 0 _ 0

3. I like how the fight ended with all three of them on the ground and the shield just lying there. And then Bucky picked it up, left it for Sam and left. Walker was defeated but it kinda shows how Sam still wasn’t sure about the shield, he just knew in that moment that Walker absolutely couldn’t be the one to have it. I feel like that fight scene really conveyed how all of them felt about the shield and it was done really well. (Ok but on a side note, remember in episode 2 when Sam was like “bruh we cant just run up on the man, beat him up and take it?” I guess they went with that plan after all)

4. TORRES MY BELOVED. He’s back and I’m so happy 🥺🥺🥺🥺 also i love how he’s not afraid to give Bucky sass lmao.

5. WHEN SAM TOLD TORRES TO KEEP THE WINGS. listen i havent read the comics but i know what happens in them and Torres is such a Falcon fanboy omg if he’s gonna be the new falcon im gonna be so happy for him ahhHhHh

6. Sam’s conversation with Isaiah Bradley. Man. I’m really really happy that we have that scene. The scene with Isaiah in episode 2 left me reallly uneasy because it ended on a really bad note with unfinished and unsaid things between Sam, Bucky and Isaiah. Also Sam didn’t really get to talk at all in that scene and I felt like he def had things he wanted to say. I appreciated how Sam said that he really didn’t get some stuff and he had Isaiah explain more of his backstory. I think Sam believes that things can change, for good reason, and at the same time Isaiah believes that nothing will change, also for a completely fair reason. But having the time to let the two of them talk, esp with the shield in the room and without Bucky’s complicated history was a really well written piece of dialogue. Thank you screenwriters.

7. SARAH WILSON SUPREMACY. I’m glad we got more of Sarah in this episode ahhh. She’s such a caring sister and I’m here for it. Sam and Sarah sibling dynamics also >>>>>

8. Sam calling in the favors to help fix the boat was so heartwarming omg. And Bucky just showing up lmaooo

9. Bucky flirting with Sarah to get on Sam’s nerves LMAOO

10. Sam and Bucky fixing the boat together was something I needed to see. That entire montage, the teamwork and warm lighting and akskdjajd my heart 🥺🥺💕💕💕

11. Bucky waking up to Sam’s nephews playing with the shield reminded me of the Black Panther end credits scene but also of that one scene in Wandavision with Pietro and wanda’s kids lollll

12. Sarah asking Sam if he’s gonna let Isaiah tell him what to do and then Sam asking/telling Bucky to stop letting others, even Steve, tell him who to be was just. Skdkfjaod. The character conversations in this episode ahHhh

13. On that note, Sam and Sarah having a chance to talk about themselves, their boat and their family was just amazing. They’re fighting to keep their history and also understanding each other at the same time.

14. Sarah telling sam that there’s the fight out there and then theres the fight in here is so special. It in a sense reflects/applies to not only Sam and Sarah’s relationship and struggles, but it also applies to Sam and Bucky’s relationship and struggles esp with Steve and the shield’s legacy, Bucky’s history as the Winter Soldier and all the weight he carries with it. They gotta sort out the inside stuff before getting into the thick of what I’m sure will be the final battle next week as superheroes in the face of the world.

15. On that note. Sam and Bucky finally having the chance to talk was so relieving and eye opening for both characters. idk if this is something that was only mentioned once and the fandom ran with it but i like the cass/ballet thing. i just think it's cute. i don't think it's her entire personality but i think her doing it for fun/as a stress reliever is cool and interesting. ballet is really beautiful and i think it goes well with her

i know cass lives in the manor(?) but i read somewhere that she is/was essentially barbara's ward and i think i like the idea of them living together. it's just different than the "throw the kids in the manor" thing. i don't know how canon handles all of that but idk i think cass and barbara living together is neat

cass seems like someone who keeps a sketchbook/journal to me. maybe for random thoughts, for doodles or anything really. she'd use it as a way to express herself to herself, if that makes sense. kind of like a diary of sorts, to keep track of feelings and events and be able to look back on them or reflect in that moment

Dkdkdkdj so @ Rindfleischet.. blah bla. so it‘s basically just loads of individual words put together/connected and that‘s a really big part of german. so yesterday i had an online Einführungsveranstaltung for uni (like it was a zoom meeting where they just talked about general stuff about the uni and i was really anxious before, idk why, but it turned out absolutely fine so) and that words consists of the two words Einführung (introduction) and Veranstaltung (event) which are also two individual words but you can make a new word (Einführungsveranstaltung, so in english that‘s basically “introduction event“ lmao) by combining those two words. there are obviously some rules like you can‘t just combine random words in a random order but you can basically make infinite words (technically). for example (i feel like i‘m teaching a class just skip this if you don’t care 🙃🙃🙃djdjdkdlns)

for example i could say Einführungsveranstaltungsteilnehmer (which is not underlined with red by tumblr because it is a grammatically correct compound word (i think that‘s what they‘re called?)) which is the words introduction + event + participant, so that word just means “participant of an introductory event“ but instead it‘s one word? i hope that makes sense? dkdkkdksks i mean it makes sense in german but idk if it makes sense to you cause idk if i‘m explaining it very well lmao,

Okay so skdjdjdjddhhddhdhjsk... I used to watch all of my series in German (like H2O) bc obviously they were on german tv so they were german- and i knew that most of these actors i saw on tv were american and i was always SO fascinated that they all learned german for this show??? I honestly can see a very korrasami-esque ending for Catra and Adora. It’s totally obvious by now that Noelle meant for them to be romantic and that she would like to end with them on a romantic route. Unfortunately, I don’t know if DW will be onboard for something very “in your face”. So I can totally see them doing a korrasami ending but making it a bit more obvious that it’s romantic.

i know ive always said “they will definitely absolutely kiss no doubt in mind” but now that we’re at the end i think i should actually take the time to discuss this more… i’m what you might a call a realistic optimist because i choose to have faith but i’m not ignorant to the realities of the situation you know? so buckle up this is going to be a long and probably unpleasant ride lmao

to be real, going into the last season I’m trying to not let myself have too many expectations with catradora. I do 100% fully expect that their relationship will be shown to be explicitly romantic by the end, but unfortunately, yes, its possible that they may not kiss. i’m at peace with that and i hope this post helps you guys see my thinking and come to terms with it too

obviously i dont understand all the underlying mechanisms of producing a tv show. i do know that dreamworks has hardly been a progressive studio in terms of lgbt representation. there are a lot of factors that would go into a decision about whether to allow a lesbian kiss in one of their projects, not least the fact that She-Ra is a reboot. having said all that, i’m still optimistic and there IS evidence in favor of a kiss that i think is worth talking about! 

thinking about where to start with this discussion on Dreamworks vs. lgbt representation, Voltron came to mind. i’ve never seen the show but a quick google search brought me to this Geekdad article from an interviewer who did an investigation into Voltron’s lgbt rep failure and Dreamworks’ role in that. he argues that a lot of the blame belongs with the showrunners, because Dreamworks does at least provide resources and diversity consultants to help showrunners make respectful lgbt content, but the Voltron crew didn’t make use of them. the issue was not that Dreamworks actively blocked lgbt rep but rather that the studio did not work to ensure quality representation from the showrunners. which is a huge difference.

i dug a little deeper and found a transcript of an interview with the showrunners where they talk about the red tape they encountered, and what they say seems to implicate Voltron’s intellectual property holder as opposed to the Dreamworks studio itself. it sounds like Dreamworks’ hands were tied because the showrunners did not hold all the legal rights to the story.

of course we know IP is also an issue with She-Ra. however, correct me if i’m wrong, but I believe Mattel (the Masters of the Universe toy line) sold its property rights to NBCUniversal (Dreamworks’ parent company) a couple of years ago. this doesn’t mean all ties are cut with the original IP holder, but i think its safe to assume that She-Ra has some more wiggle room than Voltron did when it comes to the showrunners’ vision/creativity. especially because Mattel has been known to be pro-lgbt.

an interesting quote from Joaquim Dos Santos (voltron producer) was that after season 7, “She-Ra was in development within the studio and I think the studio was just sort of beginning to open its eyes to the possibilities of there being [lgbt] representation in their shows and there not being a huge public backlash for it.” 

Also, in a different interview they said “to Dreamworks’ credit, I think the tide started changing internally” regarding the studio’s outlook on lgbt rep around the time that seasons 7/8 were in production.

so in addition to potential IP issues, Dreamworks is obviously concerned about their reputation and losing money. however we can gather from these quotations that (due to recent cultural shifts in the U.S.) Dreamworks has felt comfortable making efforts in the last few years to distribute more/better lgbt rep.

you also have to consider that Dreamworks KNEW what they were getting into with hiring Noelle. it’s hard to know whether lgbt representation was the vision for the show from the beginning or whether Noelle brought it with her (tho it seems like the latter). but either way, the studio must have been actively seeking to improve their lgbt representation because i’m sure she made her vision clear from the very beginning.

There’s a great article where Noelle talks about the fight to include lgbt rep in She-Ra:

“When you’re aiming to tell a story like that, you have to get everyone who’s working on the show, whether on the crew, or at the executive level, to believe in that world as well. It’s all part of trying to create the type of world in real life that you’re creating in the show. While I hope it comes across in a natural way in the show, it’s something you have to constantly fight for. You can’t take it for granted. I never take it for granted. It’s a really important thing to fight for, and a lot of it is just, “Trust me, this is gonna work. Believe in me. I can pull this off.” I am really fortunate to work with executives who do believe in me and who have allowed me to do a lot with this show. I’m very fortunate for that.”

So that is awesome to hear!! It wasn’t a tug-of-war situation with Noelle having to make concessions for execs who didn’t believe in her vision. She says the studio was supportive. But I think only time will tell us what the definition of “a lot” is.

Okay so, whew, that was a lot of information. i’ll be amazed if anyone actually reads this far lmaoo 😂 anyway i wanna move away from logistical stuff and talk about some other things Noelle has said about her show.

geekdad did another great interview with Noelle (and a Dreamworks PR representative!! it’s a good read) where he asked “if you wanted to depict a same gender relationship with foreground characters, do you think we’re at that stage yet in children’s animation where you could? Or do you think we still have a ways to go?”

Noelle replies “I think that remains to be seen, and I think… that’s something that–you should watch the show. You should see the storylines that we pursue in the future.”

When asked about catradora’s romantic undertones, “just keep watching” is something Noelle has said repeatedly in many different interviews. She wouldn’t say that if there wasn’t going to be a payoff at the end. It’s obvious she’s not at liberty to discuss the ending of the show, you can tell she’s always extremely careful with her wording when she’s faced with questions like this. But she consistently expresses, as a lesbian herself, that she has created a show she expects her own community will be excited about. Whatever actually happens, Noelle doesn’t believe that She-Ra will let us down 😌

Shes also mentioned that she’s grateful for shows like Steven Universe and Adventure Time that were trailblazers before She-Ra, because every successive show has the opportunity to be a little bit more progressive than the shows that came before it. We all have to continually strive to push the envelope and demand more inclusivity. If it turns out that that’s all She-Ra is–a small step towards quality representation–then yes of course it will feel like a massive waste (just because this story Noelle created is so incredible), but we’ll have to remember that the show is still playing a very important role in the history of children’s media. Even without a kiss, She-Ra has made incredible strides in lgbt rep. what i would hate to see is people complaining (god forbid calling it “queer baiting”) if there isn’t a kiss. Noelle and the crew have worked on this show tirelessly and passionately and we can’t yell at them for something they had no control over. the only people we should hold accountable are Dreamworks/Mattel. so i agree with you there anon.

Personally, at this point, I’m just here for the ride because i trust Noelle Stevenson with my life and She-Ra is the best show i’ve EVER seen. and i’m gonna keep talking about catradora kissing because

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds Part 10 - Sakamoto Ryouma Route

I’m not sure if I never realised or just completely forgot about Chizuru meeting Sakamoto when she went to ascertain whether a rumour about her dad being at this random place was true. I do remember him trying to help her and her rejecting him though lol. He seems so carefree and happy go lucky talking to her, trying to chat her up and completely forgetting that he said he’d help her find her father LOL. I’m surprised he rather readily told her who he really was the second time they met coincidentally. A lordless Ronin from the Tosa domain - somewhere that recently had a fight with the Aizu domain because they helped Takeda when he was asking the guy questions and things got a bit violent I guess? Sakamoto seems to really like what he’s doing right now - teaching people how to steer ships like the new steamboats, and he seems to be allied with the shogunate? Lol at the Nakaoka guy having his hands full with Sakamoto running around doing whatever he wants and telling people like Chizuru his true identity lol. Ooh he’s an alleged survivor of the Tosa imperialist party and is involved in imperial nationalist movements - that’s what I thought he was supposed to be related to. But I guess they’re still investigating so we’ll see what Sakamoto really thinks about everything.

Hijikata telling Chizuru to lure him out since Yamazaki and them can’t seem to tail him and get any info out of him is just so…I don’t know, it feels so wrong. I know they say they just want to question him, and Chizuru seems to be interpreting it positively in that they want to question him so they can become allies kinda thing, but what if things go downhill in the conversation? She’s been mostly neutral, so I feel like it’s inappropriate to ask her to do this for them tbh. Omg, I love Sakamoto. I love that he could immediately tell that the letter she sent about wanting to see him was really the Shinsengumi wanting info about him, and I’m happy that he doesn’t blame her for it and instead thinks it is quite underhanded of them to get her to do this. You go tell them, Sakamoto! I don’t think I completely understand the depth of their differences in Hijikata and Sakamoto’s argument, but you can tell that Sakamoto is definitely knowledgeable about the current state of affairs and really hopes to make Japan a better place. But then again, who isn’t? From my experience with Sakamoto Ryouma in most mediums though, he’s not a bad guy and he really wanted to mediate a solution that both the shogunate and imperialists could settle with, but he was killed by a group on the shogunate side and that began the war between them, since although many people were after his life, it’s indisputable that right now, there are people on both sides telling them to not touch Sakamoto because of the impact and repercussions of doing so, considering his influence etc I believe. I’m happy that Chizuru apologised for sending that letter even if Sakamoto didn’t mind since it’s such a common thing apparently lol! But dang, he’s such a flirt, I don’t know if he’s really interested in her or not, but I guess the fact that she caught his eye since the beginning is enough to prove that he’s interested to an extent haha. Considering how obstinate and passionate the Shinsengumi seems to be towards one thing and not backing down towards anything that may seem wrong in their eyes, such as what Sakamoto speaks of, it’s probably true that he really is practically an enemy of the Shinsengumi.

I think it would have been nice to see what Sakamoto got up to in Nagasaki, but maybe they want to keep it mysterious for now since everyone is still wondering where his allegiance lies considering that he has the backing of a shogunate leader and yet communicates with the Choshu. I’m surprised the Shinsengumi wanted to protect Sakamoto from the other groups that are aiming for his life that probably don’t know he has the backing of a shogunate leader. But I guess since their superiors are the Aizu and they told people to not touch Sakamoto, it could be quite important for them to protect him in accordance with what they have relayed, and since they don’t like Sakamoto, making him owe a favour to the Shinsengumi would be nice too I guess lol. It would be so much more logical for Chizuru to distract the lookout with Heisuke or Shinpachi but I guess she’s got to be the one to bond with Sakamoto lol. I was quite worried when he got injured since I thought that was the place where he died in history but I’m glad they made it to the shack. Sakamoto is SO charming though!! When he kissed her on the forehead and told her to go~~🥰 Like, c'mon Chizuru, go get help otherwise you’ll die together if you get caught! Luckily they were close by to where Sakamoto’s allies were so it was fine, no credit for the Shinsengumi though haha but keeping Sakamoto alive is probably more important than any credit😅 Lmaoo at that letter he sent her when he got a bit better, why you so flirty?! Oh yeah, forgot to mention, it seems to be confirmed that Sakamoto isn’t liked because of him doing trade with foreigners and I guess this sharing of wealth and resources doesn’t sit well with them since it’s like a betrayal to their country by allowing foreigners and their weird products and beliefs into Japan.

I wonder if telling her some information about her father’s whereabouts was just an excuse for him to lure her out and see her again… He does seem to be really fond of Chizuru. Omggg when he was so direct about wanting to see her whenever he wants and then he tried to get her to say the same hahaha, such a tease. But it’s nice to know that he wants to see her so much that he’d give random bits of information for her to tell back to the Shinsengumi so that they’d see some worth in her meeting up with Sakamoto and won’t stop her from doing it. With her finding out about his trade with foreigners, it was nice to see a bit more insight on what he thinks with their discussion. He seems to be dissatisfied with how stagnant the shogunate and its system is and has been, he believes there’s been no improvement over the years and can’t see a future with their continued governance, which many probably can’t help but agree with too. It’s just that the Shinsengumi and others are too loyal and obstinate about keeping to the shogunate even when they at times can recognise the faults with them. Sakamoto seems to want Japan to become stronger to fend off against other countries such as Russia who have already attempted to take over an island above Nagasaki 5 years ago. I guess you can’t blame Sakamoto for thinking that these trades are needed, considering how powerful guns are compared to the weaknesses of swords especially with the distance advantage and lack of skill required (when it is compared to mastering swordsmanship).

Lmao at Sakamoto just announcing his arrival to the compounds by shouting he’s here hahaha. He really does whatever he wants. It’s nice to see him take Chizuru out, she’s always confined to the compounds, I feel sorry for her. But wow, I didn’t think that Sakamoto was born a country samurai (lower class samurai) that was treated badly because his ancestors were enemies of the Tokugawa like 200 years ago, and now they’re still so oppressed by these rules and customs that have been solidified. It’s really unreasonable, I can see why he wants things to change. I mean, if things haven’t changed in 200 years by others, then he might as well change them himself. YUCKKKK! I was really enjoying this route until Kaoru appeared. Omg, I hate him with a passion so zzzzzz. If Kaoru plays a big part in this story, I’m gonna die. Anyway, yeah, getting rid of the shogunate system and implementing something similar to the West where they elect their own leaders sounds cool and all, but to actually do it would be quite difficult, but it’s always good to pave the way to get people to start thinking that there can be these kinds of choices (since other people are doing it) rather than allowing people to be settled into the mindset that those who are born upper class will always be upper class and the lower class will always stay as peasants. I loved how Kaoru tried to paint Sakamoto as an enemy and bad guy with the things he had done recently, but Chizuru was unfazed and thinks that he’s a good guy deep down hahahah, Kaoru’s face was great🤣🤣 I hadn’t seen the CG with Hijikata protecting Chizuru and using the opening she gave him to retaliate against Kazama when he attacked the compounds at night so that was sweeet!

Although I’m not sure how I feel about Sakamoto spreading the availability of guns to the Satsuma and Choshu, especially with how terrible these contraptions were for the Shinsengumi, but it is true that unlike guns, Furies can’t be controlled. However, Sakamoto just coming and telling them to stop researching and doing experiments on Furies is pretty unreasonable considering that he just gave them information that the Satsuma Choshu have Furies of their own because of Kodo. This mutually beneficial relationship between Sakamoto and the Shinsengumi would be useful though - Sakamoto tells them progress of the Furies in the West and the Shinsengumi tell them the weaknesses and attributes of the Furies. Although I do agree with Sakamoto for some things, I do think he does undermine the Shinsengumi’s thoughts and beliefs. I believe that they are fighting for a better Japan in their own way and aren’t just completely following after the shogunate, at least right now anyway. It’s just that as the story goes on and everything, it becomes more evident that there’s not enough people who carry the same beliefs and honour in the same way as them. Oh, this is where Sakamoto dies! I remember him being on the second floor of somewhere. Most people on the shogunate’s side probably has no more patience with him spreading his weapons and words aiming to get rid of the shogunate. Well, that’s worse than what I thought would happen. It’s saddening that the Shinsengumi came too late, but to think that Kaoru had already turned them into Furies, and now Nakaoka (and maybe Sakamoto) think that the ones who assassinated them were the Shinsengumi when it was most likely the Mimawarigumi that they saw before they rushed to Sakamoto…that sucks...

I wonder if it really is like so, is the spreading of Furies by Kodo similar to how opium was spread in China to ruin them? In a way, maybe, but it’s undeniable that becoming a Fury at least gives you another chance at life whilst having superhuman strength, whereas opium really only served to end up killing healthy people on the inside and outside, as well as their families. I hate always seeing Gen die, especially when it’s by the traitors from Yodo and Tosa domains that they thought they could get reinforcements from😫 If only Sakamoto came earlier😭 Or not lol, no difference I guess since Sakamoto captured her back to Kodo so that means he has to save her another way. Btw, Sakamoto looks much nicer in Western clothes imo. Nakaoka doesn’t though lol, that hat is ugly! He’s also pretty annoying now with his insistent blame on the Shinsengumi for killing them and their comrades like they’re so righteous and everyone else is wrong. I was really happy and touched when Sakamoto said he buried Gen for her😭 I was so worried that the Furies might have gotten to him, I’m so relieved now😭 I kinda liked Nakaoka before so I’m really disappointed in how unreasonable and violent he is with Chizuru, I’d rather he had stayed dead now tbh. Sakamoto is right though, if they rely on Fury powers to win the war, then Kodo and them will get the credit and also, as the people that transformed them into Furies, I’m sure they easily know how to get rid of them after. I don’t think it’s something Nakaoka should really brush off until the war is over since that’s when they’ll make their moves. It’s also pretty silly and a waste since the shogunate is losing right now, it would be different if they weren’t already winning, but it’s pretty clear that they have the clear advantage with the guns.

Now that Sakamoto and Chizuru have successfully escaped from Nakaoka and Kodo (with the help of Shiranui), it’s nice to see them lay out what their goals are now - killing all Furies and not interfering with history as dead people. Ohh? Sakamoto knows Shiranui because they used to guard Takasugi together!😮 Considering how much Shiranui seems to be fond of Takasugi, I kinda hope there’s a Takasugi route in the future (alongside a future Shiranui route too!). Ooh, this seems like it’ll be an interesting journey with Sakamoto and Shiranui together killing Furies lol. I guess it is also the first time Chizuru doesn’t go with the Shinsengumi to Edo since she feels that dealing with her father here is her responsibility and she wants to watch over Sakamoto since he’s reckless by himself lol. I think it’s a good choice, it’s not like she can really help out much anyway, so she might as well do what she wants to do now. Nice to see how much Sakamoto appreciates her being here with him too - that hug was nice🥰

Both the bad endings were pretty average, sadly - nothing too heartbreaking or different. Overall, Sakamoto seems to be a responsible, passionate (for his dreams) and flirty guy, and the story seems to take a different route from the usual since it’s not as related to the Shinsengumi, so I am looking forward to what it’ll be about, and I quite like it right now. The only thing I’m kinda wary about is that since Kaoru seems to be there, I feel like there is a chance I might hate it in the end if it’s focused on him as the villain…😣😣😥

You were spamming the A button on your gamecube controller (am I the only one that still has this). You needed to kick Woojin’s ass in Super Smash Bros. Unluckily for you, you picked Kirby, who happened to be one of the worst characters in Melee. Woojin, who was playing Zelda, clicked B and that was enough to send your character flying off the map. Sadly, that was your last life and that meant Woojin was declared winner. You groaned as you slumped into the couch. Woojin leaned into the couch with you and gave you a quick peck on the cheek.

“At least you tried your best, kiddo,” he said as he patted your head. You pouted and looked away.

“Go away,” you mumbled. “I don’t want your pity.”

“Aww is y/n mad?” Woojin cooed. “Wanna play a different game?”

“No, I must beat you at least once,” you said with determination. Unfortunately, that determination diminished slowly as Woojin beated you round after round. After losing 6 rounds in a row, you gave up, knowing you would never beat him.

“This game is rigged,” you huffed. “I’m gonna take a break and do some studying.” Woojin hummed as he got up to switch the gamecube out for the PS4. He placed Call of Duty disc in the PS4 carefully and started playing.

You had your notes all over the black coffee table, trying to memorize every single information down. Woojin was trying to headshot anyway that came his way. Eventually, you couldn’t study anymore or more of you didn’t want to. From the black and white screen, Woojin recently died in the game. Out of boredom, you took his hand and started drawing circles on them. You started sniffing his palm, which he wasn’t surprised by since you always did weird antics.

“You hand smells like strawberry,” You said suddenly.

“Really?” Woojin asked, surprised. He lifted his hand to his face to sniff. You immediately smacked his hand and took him my surprise (lmaoo I always did this as a child-). You ran off laughing like a maniac (Jaehwan is dat you??). Woojin got onto his feet and dashed towards you. Right before you could get into a room and lock the door, Woojin got in and tackled you. Woojin started tickling you, causing you to squeal. You tried to wiggle out of his grasp and run away again but, his grip was too strong.

“Okay, truce truce,” you giggled. You guys laid on the cold, hardwood floor for awhile in silence. Woojin’s voice broke it after it was silent for too long.

“You still suck at Smash Bros,” Woojin teased.

“You know what,” you said as you got onto your feet and stomped over to the gamecube. By the time Woojin got up and out of the room, you had already set up the game and was sitting on the couch. You tossed him a controller and patted the couch. He sat down and you both carefully chose your character. You picked the pokemon stadium map this time and the game started.

“Let’s settle this once and for all.”

3/25/17, 8:38am - just random thoughts

I’ve discovered the sun is my enemy. I’ve always feared this, but now I know for sure that it is true. Crashed at Jimmy’s place in chapel hill so I wouldn’t have to drive over in the morning for the tournament today, and just catching an ounce of sunlight peeking around his blackout curtains was enough to keep me from falling back to sleep forever. It’s weird being up this early. I mean, I’m ALWAYS up this early now, but it’s weird being up this early After sleeping.

I mean I slept until 7pm yesterday, pretty surprised I was able to go to bed at all. Sleeping from 4am to 8am... hm. Idk. Dunno if these are healthy sleep hours or not. With adderall it doesn’t matter, but I guess does that mean it Does matter since I have to monitor it on my own? Bah who cares sleep isn’t important.

Anyway idk I’m just trying to waste some time since I’m up too early and don’t want to get back to bingeing zelda just yet, so I’m gonna just churn out some random thoughts. 

1. last week at thursday maylay I let my friend josh (the josh I had the money match with forever ago) listen to my music to hear the new frank ocean track. He just kept jamming out on my headphones for like a half hour after that until I had to take my shit back to play, and then he complimented my music taste. Feelsgoodman. Last night I actually started going through my starred playlist and deleting tracks that I skip or think are whack or remind me of shit I don’t want to think about anymore lol

2. cats are amazing. hanging out with jimmy’s kitten rn and it’s so fucking cute holy shit. Why don’t I have a cat at my house? Oh yeah it just pissed all over jimmy’s carpet last night I forgot animals are a huge pain in the ass. Not my cat not my problem, that’s what I always say.

3. Losing weight, looking great. Yesterday I weighed in at 140.6 when I woke up. That’s because I went to bed without eating and hadn’t eaten at work except for some peanuts, and all I think I ate the day before that was that costco hot dog so that’s pretttty unhealthy actually. but like fuckit w.e. man. no pain no gain? Might be able to get myself to a comfortable 135 for lake week which would be spectacular.

4. speaking of health I got this weird not-rash on my hand the other day. I’m not sure if it was from playing too much melee or being outside in the cold or something but I got a bunch of little red spots on the back of my left hand. Not bumps, mind you, and I’ve been checking what syphilis rashes look like like every other day because I’m paranoid lmfao. It’s weird. The color went away when I ate chipotle on sunday, but then where the rash was almost looked like the color came back and got really dry a few days ago. Started just rubbing a bunch of aloe on it yesterday night and that did it p good but wonder wtf that’s all about. Maybe I’m just too dehydrated? idfk

5. my dad’s a god. Out of nowhere he hit me up to let me know that he’s helping me out with some money so wtf lmao this is awesome. Bout to clear up my credit card and start having more money to chip away on my own because I won’t be paying as much monthly interest. Thank godddd holy shit. It’s taking everything in me to not just start buying shit I’ve wanted for a while like immediately. I really like this whole pov diet/cooking for myself thing though, so I think I might keep that up until I hit my goal weights though. Then gonna start cooking like real food lol. Fast food is trash.

6. goal weights. still got a bit of tummy fat and my thighs are p thick still. Kinda wanna push the goal weight down to 130 and come back up to 135. That’s what I meant by comfortable 135. If I pace myself over the next month and a half I think that could be totally doable and might not totally freak my family doctor out. Also I don’t want to make it sound like I’m just starving myself to death, I’ve actually exercised every day right after I woke up this week. Being good about that. 

7. still haven’t gotten anything productive done otherwise. being bad about that lmaoo. 

8. tinder game pretty wishy washy. Strong potential, but idk kinda not feeling the whole dating thing anyway. 

9. Running out of thoughts, kinda need to go to the bathroom. Might bail out of this post, I think I’ve written enough.
