OH MY GOD I’ve never draw a comic so fast it’s like I was possessed to make this
I have a little headcanon prequel story about Mickey and Oswald and, while I probably don’t have time to tell the whole story bc it’s quite long haha, I did make this mini comic about when it “starts”
Basically, this is Lilly (Mickey’s and felicity’s mom, who I created bc they doesn’t have a canonical one lol) meeting Oswald for the first time, when he turns up at their house expecting to meet his (also their) dad for the first time
Long story short, Oswald is the long lost older half brother Mickey never knew he had and chaos happens from there :)

My little brother Nick is a sound engineer and got us amazing tickets to Disney In Concert by the Reno Philharmonic and we had so much fun!
I cried pretty much the whole time (because live music does that to me and Disney music also does that to me) and they encouraged singing along and all the performers were PHENOMENAL! And the girls got complimented on their dresses every five seconds (although they wished they were wearing princess costumes, but that didn’t occur to me til I saw the other little girls dressed as princesses).
It was just really special and definitely a core memory and Nick showed Peanut and Lil how the lights and sounds work and everything in his cute little sound booth 🥺
Lil's favorite song was "We Don't Talk About Bruno" and Pea's was "Into the Unknown" (which I could've called, haha).

Just found out Hynden Walch voiced Lillian O'Malley-Gracey or Sally Slater for something called “Ghost Post” for the Haunted Mansion? I’m assuming this is an arg of some sort. I also asked on Twitter hope someone says something.

Animation Professionals Over 90 Still Alive
10 years ago, Cartoon Brew had an article about animators from the Golden Age and beyond over a certain age still living.
https://www.cartoonbrew.com/animators/who-are-the-oldest-living-animation-artists-88196.html
Unfortunately, the lion's share of that group have since passed away, save for a handful of names. For this post, I would like to highlight (in age order) those from studios like Disney, Warner Brothers as well as independent bases that are around today who represent the last living links to old school animation. Shrek Kung-Fu Princesses Doll Line
For #InternationalWomansDay here's a bit of doll history! DreamWorks made a line of dolls in conjecture with Shrek fhe Third of Fiona & her princess friends. However the designs were different from their cinematic counterparts. They didn't even bother to add Doris >:(
I assume this was done to avoid a lawsuit from the mouse. Still, it's kinda hilarious that Dreamworks made their princess line when the entire point of the shrek series is to poke fun at Disney's ultra-corporatism.
First Fiona. Her doll form is her human form and included a bust of her Ogre form to change heads. She has her green gown which is the iconic item in her wardrobe. Her face does NOT look accurate to her human appearance in the movie!
Next we have Rapunzel. Her doll keeps the long golden hair but in a different style. In the movie she wore a yellow&red dress while the doll's dress is pink. Odd, given the other two princesses wear pink. Yellow would've stood out more. I got her & Cindy mixed up!
Third is Cinderella. Like with Rapz her doll form retains the blond and replaces her blue dress with pink. Funny the Disney version had its version of cindy wear a pink dress briefly.
Fourth is Sleeping Beauty! Her doll has a blue dress while the movie wears green&white. They also have different shades of brown. I guess they didn't want two girls to wear the same color. Also a bit of irony Disney S.B. wore a blue dress, and pink but never green.
Finally we have *sighs* Snow White. Honestly except for Immigrant Song she was my least favorite she came off as a total witch! But that's a rant for another time. Of the dolls she's the most accurate in terms of physical features. However her dress is dark pink, and her hair is long instead of short. Movie Snow wore red&purple. I think they should've went with that or have her wear entirely purple to fill in for Doris.
Speaking of, Doris was very much a main part of the group! It was Rapunzel who betrayed the team (for a guy no less!). My guess: to avoid spoiling the film. Given the films Anti Disney/status quo message including a Doris would've helped. To see someone not consisted attractive by society's standards get a glamorous doll of her own would be a huge step for the time! Alas, they had to play by the rules.
One can only imagine if DW revisit the Princesses & try again. Hope they actually make them accurate with their unique qualities including doris (& Lillian too! More older woman dolls please!). With success of The Last Wish, this may be one dream that might come true!

So! I finished Asha’s reference before I saw the poll results!
Since this is the case, I’m going to put a bunch of bonus info about Asha under a cut in this post- And since Cas came in second place I’ll give star an info post before I finish stars ref ^_^
Anywho, Meet Asha Lillian Luz! An introverted, but eccentric Inventor who lives in The City of Rosas! Asha spends most of her time trying to create new things using science in order to better help her community (even if her inventions don’t typically work).
Bonus Asha Info!
• Asha had ADHD, and particularly gets very bad hyperfixations on tasks. Poor girl would prob forget to eat and sleep if it weren’t for her mother and saba.
• The invention Asha is most proud of is a wooden, mechanical baby goat that she’s named Valentino. He’s not sentient (for now >:3), but is able to follow Asha around. He’s the Pinocchio to her Geppetto, the Figment to her Dreamfinder!
• When she isn’t working on a new invention, Asha occasionally helps out in the kitchen at the Rosas Castle! The seven other teens who work there consider Asha a good friend, but she’s a bit oblivious to this at the start of the story.
• The plot starts off on Asha’s birthday instead of Sabino’s, She’s just turned 18!
• Asha is inspired by Walt Disney’s passion for progress. She represents “Tomorrow” in the story. A bright eye imagineer who longs to improve her community through innovation and technological advancement. I’ve read that Asha’s shoes were supposed to be more modern looking to represent that she is ahead of her time, but I wanted to make that more apparent.
• Asha is also inspired specifically by Leonardo da Vinci- who was both an inventor AND an artist!
• Asha’s middle name is Lillian, as a reference to Lillian Disney. Asha’s last name is Luz, which means light! It’s also a reference to Luz Noceda from The Owl House
• Asha’s father was also an inventor, as well as a philosopher who was particularly close with King Magnifico and Queen Amaya.
• Asha can play the organ, which is a reference to Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
• Asha had a significant trait from each Disney Princess (as well as some bonus heroines) that she demonstrates throughout the story. She’s is heavily inspired particularly by Princess Sofia from Sofia The First. While she may not be physically learning lessons from the Princesses of The Past- She learns to encompass their traits in her actions. Some of the traits she starts with, but others she develops as the story goes on.
Asha’s Disney Princess Traits
Snow White: Kind Hearted.
Cinderella: Optimistic.
Alice: Curious.
Aurora: A Dreamer.
Ariel: A Collector.
Belle: Book Smart.
Jasmine: Assertive.
Pocahontas: Free Spirted.
Mulan: Ingenuity.
Tiana: Determined.
Rapunzel: A Hobbyist.
Merida: Rebellious.
Anna: Eccentric.
Elsa: Reserved.
Moana: Heroic.
Elena: Confident.
Raya: Adaptable.
Mirabel: Awkward.
(Note- I know a lot of these traits overlap between princesses! Like for example: I’m not saying that Mulan isn’t Determined because I labeled it as Tiana’s trait or that she isn’t Heroic because I labeled it as Moana’s. It’s just a matter of which princess specifically inspired which traits in Asha)

A bit of trivia about Mickey Mouse's creation that I've always found interesting is that Walt wanted to name Mickey "Mortimer" but his wife didn't like it and suggested Mickey instead (and I just wanna thank Lillian Disney for that because "Mortimer" doesn't fit Mickey at all; I can't articulate why but it just doesn't lol).
What makes this more interesting is that Mickey ended up getting a rival (first appearing in the short which was aptly named "Mickey's Rival") with the name Mortimer. I just always found that funny.
