Scary but sweet stand: part 4 edition.

Pairings: Josuke x reader, Okuyasu x reader, Rohan x reader + Jotaro x reader

Higashikata Josuke

He jumped back and covered his eyes, your stand literally looked like something out of his nightmares.

Unfiltered, he blurted out, “the heck is that thing!”

If you become saddened by his reaction, he immediately changes his tune and puts on a lopsided grin (as best he can), he doesn’t wanna make his s/o sad.

But even so for the first few times he meets your stand he’s going to keep his distance until he gets over his wariness.

But believe you me once he’s over it there’s no separating him and your stand, like when it hovers over him he’ll become a chatterbox even though the stand can’t verbally response.

“I know! But then you won’t believe what Okuyasu did next, the idiot-”

He might punch someone if they insult your stand.

And I can’t get it out of my head that crazy diamond would love to play fight with your stand all the time.

And chase your stand around too.

Definitely has tried to play fight your stand.

Honestly your stand definitely squished cd’s cheeks in a scolding manner at some point, it’s just obsessed.

Oh, and if it wasn’t obvious before if you ever get injured the first one by your side is cd, ready to heal you.

Nijimura Okuyasu

Initial reaction: run.

He doesn’t mean to! It’s just he’s never seen a stand of the sought and he didn’t know to react so his first reaction was flight.

He definitely ran straight to Josuke’s house and Josuke gave him a look like: wtf is up with you.

After he apologises and depending on how mad you are he might take you to Tonio’s as an apology.

But when he finally warms up to your stand, he really warms up to your stand.

Like almost to the level that they’re inseparable.

He’ll use the hand to erase the distance between you guys if he thinks your too far away.

And he likes to try and scare your stand too to see the reaction it will bring out.

Probably tries to prank it too like by throwing water on it only to get scared after it reacts.

Tried to hug it a ton.

Honestly just a new bestie for him.

Kishibe Rohan

When he first met your stand, he couldn’t really hide his emotions very well.

His throat constricted and he let out a strangled gasp, just taking a long look between you and it.

He really didn’t understand, you were muse like material so what was that! Why did you manifest such a stand.

He doesn’t really sugarcoat so he might be a bit blunt!

He loves you, but not your stand (at first) so when it tries to come into contact with him he’ll dodge.

After a while though he see’s it’s not that bad and best believe if his actions are making you sad he’ll stop his diva-ish act.

He’ll pat it’s head and stuff and say thank you for all the additional acts it does.

I feel like an activity he’d like to do with your stand is clean for some reason, he likes that it’s silent and gets the job done (better than you too, he might even tell ya that!)

He loves drawing you however every one word in a while he might draw your stand too, sometimes when he thinks fondly of it, or to get character inspo since it’s so unique looking.

other times he’ll just leave a drawing around the house of it and notices how your stand jumps for joy.

Overall he does quite like your stand, but he likes you more.

Jotaro Kujo

He grimaces. Hard.

But he tries to keep a straight face and a neutral reaction as best he can, he’s seen weird stands before but yours is something he never would have even thought of.

Star platinum on the other hand mirrors his true expression.

He’s gonna act like your stand doesn’t exist for a good while as a result until your stand starts doing nice little things for him like readjusting his hat.

He’ll still act unbothered however he might give a nod of appreciation.

However one day your stand wasn’t how wrong around him like usual and immediately he noticed something was off.

He supposed he had gotten rather used to your stand assisting him he hadn’t truly approached it’s value.

Definitely see’s that your stands value in battle which makes him come to like it a lot more.

So the next time your stand was there he pat it’s back in an effort to show his appreciation.

Honestly though your stand just looks to star platinum to see his feelings and is quite pleasantly surprised to see they’re mostly positive.

Oh! And your stand most definitely plays catch with star when there’s time.

And probably also plays with it’s hair.

Info About The Writer

Hi! I’m Alistair— you can call me that, or you can use my username for pretty much everywhere else, TheetyPie/Theety. I don’t mind either way.

I’m a trans guy, I use he/they pronouns. I’m panromantic/asexual, and I’m 27 years old.

I have 3 cats, they’re my babies. I also (as you can tell from above) have a lot of OCs, and the number is still growing. I want to turn my ideas into a bigger creation someday, still not sure exactly where I want to go with it.

I do more than write. I do art, I like video games, music, and just collecting stuff. Current obsessions are Monster High, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, makeup, crystals, and jewelry.

Rules

The most important: I do not RP smut. In the past I’ve used the fade-to-black method, but I’m not entirely comfortable with that with most of my muses.

In the same vein, DO NOT FORCE SHIPS. I love ships as much as the next guy, but I would prefer to discuss it first, or for us to agree on it. It’s cool if your muse has a crush, totally fine— mine get crushes all the time! But make sure if you want to ship, we discuss it first.

In a similar vein to that one as well, no god-modding/powerplaying. If your character is strong, an immortal being, or whatever, cool! I have some of those too. But there should always be a limit. Don’t say your character is moving mine unless we’ve talked about that. Attempt to move them. Usually I follow along as long as boundaries aren’t pushed.

Don’t kill or seriously injure my muse without permission. Fights happen, of course, but again: discussion. I’m up for threads where my canon muses are injured or killed, but not where it happens to my OCs, unless we’re getting into a backstory and another OC that’s already deceased dies. Non-serious injuries are alright to come out of nowhere with, but if it’s a first meeting, I’d prefer to plot it out.

I’m semi-selective. I’m kind of particular about who I follow and who I thread with. I prefer us to be mutuals to thread, but you don’t have to be mutuals to send me things.

I’m very bad at keeping up with people. If you message me and I don’t respond, it’s usually bc I’m shy, I forgot, or I’m busy with work. It’s not you, I promise. Usually I don’t message first bc I’m nervous.

Back to shipping: I’m also multiship. Usually my ships are in different universes, unless discussed with all parties beforehand. The exception is a few of my OCs that are partnered together— ask about their availability. I love random ships, just talk to me about them!

I love duplicates of my muses. Whether it’s “x meets self” or I find someone I share a muse with, I love RPing with just about everyone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we have a muse in common!

One of my other most important statements, not really considered a rule, but it’s still important: if you want to know something about any muse, canon or OC, please tell me— ask or message me! I haven’t been able to write down a lot of info about any of them because I’m on mobile, but I will infodump for you if you need/want to know something. I love talking about my children, they’re precious to me.

If you send something in or make something for me when we haven’t even spoken, I might not feel comfortable responding. I’m very shy and nervous about not having any discussion beforehand. 😭

Summary: You and Josuke Higashikata had been friends forever now and he finally brings up the courage to tell you that he likes you more than a friend…

You and Josuke Higashikata had been friends since first year at this point. The two of you would spend a lot of your time together doing after school activities and what not. It was when Josuke came to you for a proposal of an after school program that had you intrigued.

He informed you that it would involve a club in which manga lovers could gather and share their favorite pieces.

Although this seemed like a nerdy idea to you, you agreed anyway and met Josuke in one of the classrooms after school.

Walking down the hallway, you checked the slip of paper Josuke had passed you after lunch, so you wouldn’t get lost. You shoved the slip of paper into your pants pocket and decided to head inside of the classroom.

You were amazed to see… absolutely no one was there.

“Y/N!” Josuke called, standing up from the desk he had been sitting in (waiting for more people to arrive at the club).

“Where is everyone?” You asked.

“About that…” He scratched the back of his head as he looked down at the floor a little embarrassed. “You see… I don’t think anyone is coming.”

“Why do you say that?”

“I don’t see anyone here.”

“I’m here.”

Josuke chuckled, “I suppose you are right.” He concluded. “You always are…” He muttered under his breath. He perked up a bit making his way more towards you. “Do you at least have a manga here with you to share?”

You nodded. “Of course, I wouldn’t be here without it. It is a manga club after all. The whole point of this!”

A door slammed shut from behind and you turned around to see who was at the door. Josuke leaned to the side to get a better look. Koichi was standing nervously in front of the door that had just slammed behind him.

He gave a small wave. “H-Hey guys.”

“Glad you could join us, Koichi!” Josuke announced with a smile, now walking towards the shorter boy and giving him a pat on the head. “We now have one more member for today!”

“About that…” Koichi mumbled.

“What is it?”

“Well… I overheard a few of the girls from outside as I was coming in here to meet. They were all talking about how you were running the club and how exciting it would be if they could join.”

“That’s great!” Josuke mused, turning to look at you. You had a confused look on your face.

“Not entirely…” Koichi said at last, “You see, they all were betting that you would like a certain manga and whoevers manga you did like meant that you would marry them in the future… A fortune telling of sorts.

Josuke was dumbfounded.

“How does that make any sense?” You questioned.

Koichi shrugged.

Before anything else could be said, a mass amount of shoes walking… no, running down the hallway could be heard from outside the door.

“They are coming!” Koichi called out.

Josuke moved fast towards the windows of the classroom, he began pushing a chair up next to the wall and climbing on top of it.

“What are you doing, Josuke?” You asked suddenly, trying to avoid eye-contact with the door.

“We have to get to the rooftops.” He said finally, pushing open one of the windows. “Come on!” He held out his hand for you to grab. You instinctively took it and he pulled you up from off the floor and up on top of the desk. “After you,”

You dipped your head and climbed out through the window.

The last thing you saw was a nervous Koichi holding back a door with a bunch of girls banging on it to be let in.

You sighed as you sat on the rooftop of the school. Josuke crouched down next to you and stared out on the field.

“Sorry for this bizarre disaster.” Josuke held up his hand and clenched it. “I totally messed up this whole club. It was all supposed to be for you and–” Josuke paused. He had spoken too much.

“What do you mean it was all going to be for me?” You turned to him.

“Well… Y/N, there’s something I have been meaning to tell you for a while now. I like you. I like you more than a friend.”

You felt your heart begin to beat faster at his words. “Josuke–”

“It’s okay if you don’t like me back!” He said suddenly, throwing his hands up into the air innocently. “It was so sudden I know… We have been friends for so long I–”

“Shut up.” You hand moved to his chin and you pulled him closer to you. Both your lips collided. Josuke’s hands fell to his sides and he fell deep into the kiss. When the two of you pulled away, you noticed Josuke was as red as ever.

“Woah…” Was all he could mutter from the kiss.

You smacked him on the shoulder.

“Hey what was that for!?” He grabbed his shoulder instantly, leaning away from you.

“You're such a dork.” You laughed.

The two of you sat on the rooftops for the rest of your time together, sitting close to one another and taking in the school-like surroundings.

“Jooossukkkeee!” Koichi called from inside the building. “A little help pleeaaaseee!!”

What do you think of the name of CDDH? I think it would fit lot better if it was "Emperor's Demonic Heartbreak" or "Hol Horse's Demonic Heartbreak".

I'm inclined to call it HoHo's Bizarre Adventures actually

The Emperor's Demonic Heartbreak could have been a great and accurate title! :0

When I first saw the 1st volume cover of CDDH about 6 months ago, ngl, I was attracted to read it because of Josuke. Josuke is my favourite JoJo after all. And it was in the title too, Crazy Diamond...? Obviously, I am expecting a Josuke-centric spin-off.

BUT NO.

Instead, it dragged me away from Josuke and had me loving Hol Horse instead. That's why I kept thanking CDDH for getting me to actually abandon a character from another fandom that I had been drawing non-stop for 10 YEARS to hyperfixate on that handsome cowboy.

Now as a fan of both characters, I get it if JoJo fans were into CDDH initially for Josuke. Then in the first few pages, you get mentions of Kakyoin. Now comparing Josuke and Kakyoin with Hol Horse, obviously the favouritism among JoJo fans globally would not favour Hol Horse.

It's a good marketing strategy to put a famous JoJo character as the centre piece, I suppose.

So far I rarely see anyone complained about CDDH being Hol Horse-centric. But even CDDH fans don't often talk much about him.

That said, the title Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak still doesn't make too much sense, seeing how the story's direction went. In Japanese, Demonic Heartbreak (悪霊的失恋 - aku-reiteki-shitsuren) can also be roughly translated to Evil Spirit Heartbreak or Villainous Spiritual Heartbreak. I suppose it can mean two things - one, it's about Josuke finding out what Stands are and learning to control the "evil spirit" i.e. Crazy Diamond without him using rage as a catalyst. Or two, it's about Dio and the effects of his charm and cruelty on his minions.

I'm leaning towards the second, seeing how CDDH is really just about Hol Horse overcoming his past with Dio.

Which now comes full circle to your lovely statement...it should have been "The Emperor's/Hol Horse's Demonic Heartbreak" instead.
