I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them

People who are used to aloof Vulcans who avoid Humans at all cost running into one comforting a Human

#star trek #Vulcans #Humans #not based on a specific thing #but I used to know this annoying couple that were ‘family friends’#who would show up to potluck dinners and the like and would either bring nothing or bring something really just. out of left field?#like a bag of frozen chicken to a bbq #and then proceed to make sure they are first even if it was stated to let kids go first #would take HUGE amounts before anyone else got a chance to get a plate #and then make off with the leftovers again even if they were already claimed for #and it wasn’t a food insecurity thing trust me I would never speak bad about a person getting food if that was even a remote chance #the adults who raised us knew them really well and we’d been to their house a ton of times #they were just dicks #and yeah. they’d occasionally insult the food. while eating the MAJORITY of it.#it was so weird at their home they would go out of their way to get the healthiest options possible #you know the really bland tasteless expensive stuff that apparently was healthier #but then if they were visiting our house they would. eat all our unhealthy snacks.#that always pissed me off so much as a kid because we actually had a food insecurity thing going on #and also a variety of other reasons that are a bit too depressing to bring up on this post #but anyways we’d hardly ever get to have nice snacks #and this couple would just take them all??? even after we’d tell them repeatedly that it was ours and those snacks weren’t gonna be #replaced #hated that couple #if you’re wondering why they were ‘family friends’ it’s because the couple who raised us #(it feels weird to type it out like that but apparently legal guardians doesn’t fit since they never finished petitioning 💀)#liked having them around because it made them look like ‘such great Christian’s’ being nice to the people #that no one else wanted to be friends with #I always thought that was a really weird and fucked up reason to be friends with someone #this got long sorry 😭

Was making food to bring over to my grandfather so i made him a little chicken pot pie (I know it looks like shit you need to be nice to me) and i cut out some letters in the pastry to spell out “Papa” for him, because that is what he is called, and i thought it would be Nice, but it backfired somehow and now i have to hand him a fucking fap pie. fuck my baka life

Ok thank god i just got to the end of the dash, i love y'alls posts but meds gotta be tooken and its breakfast eaten.

And for today's meds breakfast I am having the other half of the Malaysian Laksa soup pouch I opened yesterday morning. I could samefood this one possibly forever it feels like. Amazing served with buttered English muffins 👩‍🍳🤌 Good for an easy meal when you just can't find the spoons to do much more, and having to make yourself eat with the daily meds feels like the eternal chore. Also it's got little tofus in it, cuute tasty fun.

I've tried all the pouch soups the local supermarkets have to offer by now, and I really do think it's my fave. If you are interested in trying for yourself the brand of this particular one is Naked Lunch. The Saag one by them comes in as pretty much second best I think, for me. Not sure if you can only get it in New Zealand or not. Maybe I'll try add a picture up of it soon

Danny is going to Gotham for his scholarship.

Good news! There's another halfa in the city, and he seems to be a good guy. Bad news: the nearest path to his university is through that halfta's haunt. He could take the long way around, but the costs would be more than his budget can handle, and he'd like to avoid dealing with a pissed-off Red Hood.

Hopefully the offerings will be enough to sate his annoyance (and help maybe, god that man has the most malnourished core he's ever seen).

I went to a hippie art school in California. You would lose your mind studying the people there. Vegans? Weak. I knew honest to god freegans. Both kinds.

My Aunt Lynn once gave herself and her family intestinal parasites by dumpster diving for meat a supermarket threw out.

Nothing against freegans actually, I'm all for reducing food waste, but for the love of fuck don't do it with expired beef and pork that've been in a dumpster in 85F heat for hours

#My aunt was a nice lady but the worst cook in the entire world #No concept of food safety whatsoever #Distinct memories of mom taking us to hardees before going over there so we wouldn't be tempted to take a nibble of any of the pork chops
