Spock reacts to Kirk the same way he reacts to literally every other person he feels even a modicum of attraction to in that:

A) He speaks in fewer words or just doesn’t speak at all, generally just lets that person interrupt him more.

B) Tries to get the hell out of there as quickly as possible. But also not really, he’s awkward and bad at leaving.

He’s slow to pick up on Chapel’s flirting and doesn’t try to be all smart around her. Their words after Spock Amok & Serene Squall are stunted and simple. Then he wriggles away from the conversation because fEeliNgS nO

The way Angel manipulated him good god, “Oh my poor dead vulcan fiancé 😭 you remind me of him y’know 😉” the frickin scene after he catches them walking out of a workout and having him help them put on their necklace when they’re alone in the turbolift? Angel manipulated, mansplained, malewifed our poor boy!

Anyway, Spock’s a mess.

Then what’s he do the first time he sees Kirk shirtless, you can HEAR the breaks screeching in his brain. Bare minimum conversational exchange, Jim giving him that appraising “you doin alright?” Look when Spock kinda just… trails off… a bit… Then leaves so quick “I have important work that you probably ordered me to do okay byyyyyyye”

Basically what I’m saying is the best evidence we have that Spock isn’t attracted to T’Pring is that he’s wayyyyyy too smooth with her. Way too scripted, way too “am I getting a good grade in Vulcan bondmate? Which is a normal thing to want and possible to achieve?” fiancé-ly actions be damned, that boy doesn’t love her.

Spock is the worst flirt in the galaxy when he actually has chemistry with someone beyond friendship, it’s just true.

i should start watching soap operas again. unfortunately my house dont have tv. literally thats the reason why im not liveblogging on tumblr about how the mother in law and the gullible husband should fucking die and the female antagonist should get together with the girl protag, even if theyre adopted sisters. my family always talk about buying an antenna and one of those digital to analog signal converters but it never happened!

#my favorite type of soap operas will always be the outrageous ones around mid 2000s to early 2010 #its my childhood and its peak insanity #too bad the hate train for soap operas got too much and now the current style for dramas are... to sanitized. too safe.#oh yes they have better character work and they follow along moral standards and talks up the blandest #take on feminism and mental health but. the constant religious pandering oh my god #i miss the trainwreck style of soap operas. i really do. i miss when the premise was what if there's a guy and he's painted as clueless but #ultimately a well meaning guy who bought a 16 yo girl as his fourth wife because said girls' parents cant pay their debts #and also the main antagonist is a women who dabbles in black magic and ends up horribly disfigured because she falsely swore an oath #by the name of god? its insanely horrible but i like it #yall can tell i'd be one of those toxic attitude era fan if i was cis and usamerican lmao #textposts

Round 1, Side A: Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers (2019) vs Kingdom Hearts 3 (2019)

Campaign for FFXIV:

oh my god where do I start. Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) is an MMORPG that's been going on 2013, or 2010 if you count the trainwreck that the current FFXIV replaced (the 2010 version's music was composed mainly by Uematsu, 2013 onwards is mostly Soken). Thus its OST is FUCKING HUGE and spans a whole lot of genres. If you like any kind of music at all you can probably find at least one track that speaks to you in this game. FFXIV has a category of incredibly difficult fights called Ultimate, comprised of multiple short phases that each have their own music. Because of the nature of how Ultimates are structured, they're the only fights in FFXIV where the music can actually be timed to the mechanics. If you're not afraid of story spoilers, look up any ultimate's BGM and you can see how cool this effect is. (I can't listen to Under the Weight without also hearing the sound of every mechanic and tankbuster.) (My personal favorite ultimate, music-wise, is The Epic of Alexander. Back when I was progging the fight I used to fall asleep listening to the BGM.) To The Edge is so so special to everyone who loves FFXIV. It's the theme of a boss in Shadowbringers; I can't give details without also giving major spoilers, but I will say that the story and this song deal with the themes of death and loss. If you look up the lyrics, which aren't too spoilery without context, you'll get what I mean. What makes this extra emotional is that FFXIV's main composer, Soken, was in the hospital fighting cancer when he composed this song. (To be clear: he kept working because it provided him with a desperately needed sense of normalcy, not because he needed to.) No one on the dev team knew aside from Yoshi P, FFXIV's producer + director as well as Soken's personal friend; the rest of the team found out the same time the fans did, months after the fact when Soken was in full remission, at the 2021 FFXIV Fan Festival (FanFest). To The Edge was already widely beloved prior to this because it's an incredible banger tied to an incredible story moment, but knowing what was going on behind the scenes during its composition, in addition to the story and song's own themes surrounding death, turns it into a piece that no one can listen to without getting wildly emotional about it. With Hearts Aligned is also so so so special to me because it's the song that plays in the 'victory lap' second phase against the final boss that caps off a nine year long story arc. It features a leitmotif from The Maker's Ruin, a song from 2013, that represents the player and is often used when we overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. There are no words that can describe the sheer fucking emotion of fighting the final boss of a nine year long story arc while listening to the leitmotif that represents YOU, a leitmotif that you first heard however many weeks or months or years ago when you first started playing this game. The ultimate triumph, and the ultimate song of hope. Also if you like leitmotifs, FFXIV has /so many leitmotifs/. I would put the entire game's soundtrack if I could but there's a LOT. The album I listed is for the "postgame" of Shadowbringers. Of particular note is the song "To The Edge" which was written while the composer, Masayoshi Soken, was battling with cancer.

yoko shimomura, the GODDESS, the LEGEND, her composing skills never fail to amaze! kh music is so so goodddddd

I’m not good with propagandizing but the OST for this series is so good. For KH3, I love so much of the soundtrack. The Disney worlds have some great tracks, but the endgame and dlc has almost nothing but bangers.

Natasha doesn’t answer, instead, she touches your skin with the weight of a single feather, but with the strength of the hold of a fearful child, as if you are a materialization of a dream that, as a mist, could disappear through her very own fingers if she didn’t hold you close enough.

Your heartbeats follow the goosebumps on your entire body as you step impossibly closer to hers, looking back at her eyes to make sure she wasn’t pranking you.

But when you see the pure devotion bleeding out of the green irises you have always feared so much, you can’t help but trust her entirely- whatever it is that she knows about you it’s not to be taken lightly.

Her breathing can no longer be distinguished from yours as she leaves one less inch to be closed, you can’t help the smile that blooms on your mouth. Once your lips touch Natasha’s, you feel your entire world turning upside down.

Literally.

A tidal surge of memories floods your mind as you feel her smile against yours- unstoppable waves with the taste of loving and being loved, with the sounds of busy kitchens, loud classical music, with the pain of loss and worries that fail to be buried push and pull you away from the shore of what you thought you had known about your life.

You push her away from you, but grab her arms as if your entire existence depended on them- now you understand her grasp on you, mere moments ago.

In fact, you, now, understand everything. A thunder might as well have stricken you with the trainwreck of feelings your mouth manages to express as you whisper, a hundred and sixteen years later, your own very favorite word “Anastasia”

You look at her as if it's the first time all over again, every small detail of hers erupts a tsunami of sensation through your body, through your mind, through your blood. Anastasia, your gorgeous Natty, is standing in front of you and you are truly seeing her, after so long- it’s her beautiful smile that blesses your eyes and her fiery hair that lets you know you’re home, as they always did.

To say that her eyes- oh, how you love having missed her green eyes- gained life is an understatement, they glow as only the moon could ever dare to rival, her crystal tears wash away every ounce of her facade. You don't think there are words to come close to what you feel, merely looking at her, merely being looked at by her, loving her and being so deeply loved in return.

"What did-" Natty tries to talk once, twice and, with a small sob, gives up on the third try.

You can’t do much but nod before you are engulfed by her in a soul-crushing hug, which is the exact one thing that you have always needed, in the whole wide world, since the realms of time, when your souls first met.

“[Y/N], my darling girl, my dove” She whispers against you, but you swear your heart could have heard it from miles away "How I have missed you, detka, how I love you"

And, a hundred and sixteen years later, once again, you find your heart to be happy again- you have finally heard the one thing your soul has always yearned for. You don’t think there is a way to explain how beautiful it feels to be loved by the owner of your heart.

You manage to finally tell her what your throat has never allowed you to, as well, but that has been buried on your heart, begging to be released “I have loved you forever, Natty”

If her sobs are anything to go by, you could infer she has felt the same- after all, being it Natasha or Anastasia, you have never spent one day in your life without loving this woman with every fiber of your being, having you remember her, or not- a soul doesn't forget another.

“God” Natty laughs against your neck, another one of your newfound favorite feelings, before distancing herself to stare at your eyes “Wanda’s going to be insufferable when she finds out her advice actually worked"

“For you, princess, I’d handle a thousand ‘I told you so’s’ from a thousand Wandas” You chuckle as you cup her cheek with the palm of your hand, not getting enough of her- you feel unstoppable, you wonder if it's because you're finally free or if it's merely love.

“You must really love me” Nat jokes and your heart leaps in happiness when you notice how easily her smile appears around you and, even more, when you realize she does, just as easily, believe in that, in your undying, devoted love for her.

“In every single universe, Anastasia, Natasha, Natalia, and whoever else you happen to find yourself in”

aziraphale buys sirius some ridiculous fancy cake from some stupid posh bakery, and remus is horrified because he always bakes sirius a sad wonky cake layered with all his favourite flavours because that’s what he likes!! and he’s trying to explain this to crowley, who is just glaring furiously at everyone because, overlooking the fact that demons don’t have birthdays, aziraphale never bought HIM a fancy cake.

🤣🤣🤣 And if he ever voices that thought to Aziraphale, Aziraphale will be like "but you don't eat??? ever???" and Crowley is like "my treat is watching YOU eat the fancy cake that you bought for me, you idiot."

But oh my god what a trainwreck of a birthday party this would be! This is absolutely what would happen. I also like @polaroidcats 's idea of James being there as well and he's just sitting there like "um what the FUCK."

I try to! It depends on how swamped I am with life stuff, but I like responding to comments because for me, writing is about starting a conversation and building community and connecting.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Depends on how you define angst but probably the fic with the angstiest throughline (like, it starts angsty, stays angsty, ends angsty) is glory glory glory to the night that shows me what i am (Abbott Elementary). But I think the best angst I've written is probably After (also Abbott) because it's a smutty slow-motion trainwreck.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

take these years of mine (Abbott) is probably the happiest thing I've ever written, period. remind me tomorrow has the happiest ending (and is the most lighthearted) of all my Xena fic.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

No, but sometimes I get demands for more or for specific plotlines. I worry that if (and WHEN) I don't follow those requested/expected plotlines, there might be some pushback.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Almost exclusively. Although I've been branching out a little more. But yeah. Mostly F/F, some F/F/M and F/F/F, also a decent amount of gender fuckery in various configurations. I would say my smut leans more vanilla, but I've written some kink, and there are definitely elements of kink in some of the vanilla stuff, too.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I do not write crossovers. Maybe someday. But probably not, unless it's purely for the lols

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

God I hope not! Not that I'm aware of!!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Somebody asked me if they could translate my fic once, but I don't remember what the fic was, and I don't think it ever actually happened. Would love that, though!!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Lots and lots. My first big foray into cowriting was with @angelsarenamederika, with whom I wrote a massive amount of trans!Mulder X-Files fic that we never posted anywhere but was an absolute blast to work on. I'm also working on a 5+1 piece for the Work Wives (Abbott) fandom with @the-frankenman-writes, @this-barbie, @katiehoughton, @wolf-government, and @vanillabeanwrites. OH AND! @deirdresart adapted Eromenas into a comic and it's AMAZING.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I refuse to answer this question. I WILL FINISH ALL MY WIPS SO HELP ME GOD

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue and interpersonal dynamics and internal reflection (or, in unreliable narrators, lack thereof)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Stealing @tunemyart's response word for word here: Action, movement, and description of setting. I'm really trying to get better about grounding the characters in the world around them instead of some nebulous room. Also writing action without getting bogged down in unnecessary details. It's hard!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Maybe if you know the language and it serves the story or the way the story is being told. Never say never, but it's not something I usually do, because I don't ever really have a reason for it.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter lol

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

Right now, it's After. I worked so hard on it and I learned a lot writing it and I found a community (partially) because of it! I think it's just a really satisfying, angsty/bittersweet read, start to finish. Honorable mention to Eromenas (again plugging the comic here) and five times it was quiet and once it was loud.

funny enough? Thancred. i actually really, really like Thancred.

a lot of ffxiv's more interesting characters either got their plots stymied, or got worse with time because of the writing team dragging their presence in the story out to an unwelcome degree. there are lots of great designs! honestly if yshtola was... actually written well kljfhglksfkjg she'd be by far my favorite. i gravitate to that kind of "sexy and clever but secretly a trainwreck" kinda gal, the Faye Valentine type. same for a number of others-- i adored Emet-Selch. not in the "i wanna fuck him" way as many have, but in the "oh what an IMMACULATE freak. what a stunning piece of shit i love him." Yotsuyu and Fordola got hung out to dry by the english localization apparently, which explains why i really wanted to like them only for the story to kinda shaft them imo. i remain enamored with the Crystal Exarch. i cannot stand graha tia but by god i loved the Exarch.

more than anything, its kinda boiled down to who has, i guess, grated on me the least with time??? i dont think im the first person to say that a lot of the cast should've died in Shadowbringers, Endwalker at least. heavensward was a tragedy in how it treated its female characters (im still pissed about ysayle) and Stormblood is one of the most frustrating narratives i've played through in a long time. i'm actually not all that excited for Dawntrail, if for no reason other than that i was very excited to not see the scions again, and there they are! but out of the whole cast, Thancred's been the most consistently enjoyable for me. He also really should've died in ShB. and then he should've also died in Endwalker. its fine. Metal Gear Thancred solo duty was fun its fine.

forgot to put my favorite quote from ellen burstyn asking friedkin not to cast jason miller for the exorcist 1973. And the trainwreck that followed. The website it old and unreadable, so I'll just copy the text:

WF: So [Jason Miller] does it and Ellen Burstyn comes to me after the shoot’s down and I go to her dressing room. She says, “You’re not going to hire this guy are you?” I said, “Well, no.” She said, “Well, why are you wasting my time, because he can’t do this part.” She said, “First of all,” she said, “I need a big guy that I can melt in his arms when I tell him my daughter’s possessed.” Bill Blatty [William Peter Blatty, the author] was there, watched this going on.

I introduced them. Blatty wants to play the part himself.

That night, he lived on the Malibu Beach and my Agent at the time lived down the beach from him, and Blatty went over to my Agent’s house at 9, 10 o’clock and knocked on the door and said, “You know I have total faith in Bill Friedkin, but this is wrong. Tell him don’t even think about hiring this guy. He’s just wrong,” so the next morning we look at the rushes and the guy looks incredible, which I didn’t see live, I didn’t see what the camera does to him. I look at his close-up; I look at him with--his voice, which had a very interesting quality. I look at it and I say to myself, “That’s Father Karras. That’s the guy.” So now, I’ve got to go and be my--by myself for a while and think this out, and the movie god says to me, “That’s the guy,” so I go to Blatty and Warner Bros. and everybody else and I said, “I want to get out of the Stacy Keach deal and hire this guy.” [INT: They must have thought you were nuts.] Oh yeah, Ted Ashley called me himself, he said, “You are crazy. What is wrong with you? We’re not going to do it.” And I tell Burstyn. She says, “You’re nuts.” Then I--this went on for days with everybody saying--[INT: Did you have any ally at all?] No, no, except the movie god. [INT: Yeah, but they don’t always have a parking space at Warner Bros.] [LAUGHS] That’s wonderful. ok but I'm cryign right now. It was already too much seeing the dca in VR but oh my god it's Funtime Freddy. it's HIM. it's my favorite FNAF character. I literally. Omg. I for some reason didn't process that ballora being in VR would mean ft Freddy would be in VR. I'm gonna fucking cry I haven't even seen the minigame yet but I SAW him standing in his little corner and I'm just being flooded qith memories oh my god

SL and FNAF 4 are my favorite games and. oh my god. seeing fucking Jack-o-Moon, when I grew up doodling a bunch of my favorite FNAF characters as Jack-o' versions almost brought me to tears. seeing Sun act so much like my interpretation of FT Freddy just completely rots in my head. and now ffucking. FUNTIME FREDDY MINIGAME. dude this game makes me want to cry I'm so fucking happy. I genuinely didn't think Steel Wool could do good after the trainwreck that was SB (including their lack of fixing glitches and doing the coding equivalent of putting a poster over a hole in a wall. making it harder to perform glitches only added more steps, it didn't fix the issue.) but they've just repeatedly proven themselves and I am beyond happy for that.

it's so nice seeing FNAF get such good games. congratulations Steel Wool, you've won me over.

Nine years younger than Al. He was what some would call a "happy accident."

He was always really outgoing and energetic, ever since he was little. When he took his first steps, he didn't walk, he RAN.

He has ADHD (no, I'm not projecting shhh). Didn't do very well in school, but not because he wasn't smart, he just couldn't remember to get his assignments in on time. Favorite subject was English (he actually really enjoys reading), least favorite was math.

Was the favorite child. He got his fair share of beatings from his father, especially when he would fall behind in school, but Al definitely took the brunt of it as the elder brother.

MOMMA'S BOY. Took her death when he was twelve extremely hard. Things started going downhill after that for him; he acted out more, and she wasn't around to defend him from his father, and Al could only do so much. He started getting "punished" more frequently.

Started shoplifting cigarettes from corner stores when he was fourteen. Weed came a little later, around seventeen.

The Big One (cocaine) started in college. He was there on a track scholarship, but he got caught with it during his senior year and lost the funding. Unfortunately had to drop out as a result.

Heavy drinker, but not enough for it to be an issue. Partial to whiskey (he thinks it's classy) and shitty frat boy beers. VERY insecure about his slight beer gut.

Found Samson on the side of the road in Durango one day, adopted him on the spot. Loves that dog with all his heart.

As y'all know, I hc that Max also has supernatural gifts. He has dreams similar to Gwen, but he just thinks they're your run-of-the-mill night terrors. Uses the coke partially to stay awake so he doesn't experience them.

Really, truly loves his brother. Secretly worries about him a lot, hates the fact that he spends all that time alone in their childhood home with those creepy masks their father collected. Part of him is so scared that Al resents him for getting the better end of the deal in their upbringing, he just wants so badly to be a good brother I'm gonna make myself cry oh my god

Relationship

This man falls in love FAST and HARD. Don't smile at him too kindly, or he'll start imagining your lives together.

Because he gets attached so easily, he unfortunately gets taken advantage of pretty often. 80% of his money troubles is his tendency to attract unsavory women looking for a meal ticket.

He's bi, he just doesn't know it.

If you're in a committed relationship with him, he will not shut up about you. To anyone. Ever. He's pulling pictures of you out of his wallet to show people, he can't help it, he's just so proud of you!!

He will really want you to get along with his brother, so RIP to you I guess (jk, Al would tolerate you for Max's sake, but you better not make one wrong move)

Love language is gifts and physical touch.

Always buying you extravagant gifts he probably can't really afford like jewelry and fancy dinners and such, no matter how much you tell him not to. He wants to spoil you!!

Also, constantly touching you in some form or fashion. Walking down the street? He's either holding your hand, or has an arm around your waist. Sitting down on the couch? He and Samson are BOTH all over you.

Speaking of Samson, will be jealous if you cuddle his dog more than him. Make him jealous, he's adorable when he pouts.

One of his favorite pastimes is snuggling up on the couch and watching a movie with you. What kind? Doesn't matter, he's not picky!!

Musicals? He's practically out of his seat during the songs. Romance? Man's not afraid to cry. Horror? He'll say he's protecting you by wrapping his arms around you, but he's pretty much crawling into your lap before long.

Overall, best trainwreck clingy boyfriend, 10000/10

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

I know i bitch about his treatment in canon a lot but i actually adore the entire point of his character as a foil for Rodimus, as a parallel of Megatron, as a manifestation of everything wrong with Autobot MTOs, as a hero who made himself a villain in pursuit of being The hero, he's literally a perfect trainwreck of a character I adore so so dearly.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Funnily enough I don't think enough of him to the point of having meaningful headcanons lmao. He wears a mask cuz he can't help himself from biting people <- oral fixation

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to ths character? Something you don't like?

Ohhh there's not much (good) Getaway fic I've read, but I did read some good stuff that put a standard for me: I love when people try to look into his thought process and make him doubt, question and hesitate while going for the loops of his deep seated self loathing and superiority complex. I love when he's as charming as he's in canon but you know he's not alright and falling for his charm is dangerous.

What i despise in fic is complete disregard of literally everything stated above and writing him for sake of dunking on him, or ignoring the part where he hates himself to the core and his actions but he's too far gone now. Don't do that man.

24. What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?

Oh hrm. That's kind of tricky.... I know there are, cuz I've talked abt it before, but i can't think of anything rn 😭 Maybe later if i remember

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

What sucks is that a lot of my first impressions are tainted by the way fandom treats these characters and ridicules people for liking them, so I kinda. I mean I did like him, i just didn't think of him much until i. Sighs. Until i saw Lawrence's Getarod art. It was jover for me. I don't have to explain to you what I think of Getaway now 😭

i like the way you draw zeke's gashes and gore, do you like horror/have horror recs (any media)

As much as I like to draw mushy wholesome romance between two characters...I love horror to an almost unhealthy extent. It is my favorite genre of anything honestly (I have spent days binge watching horror films back to back to back on Netflix, even the bad ones)

I've never really done a recommendation list before for anything so I can only list my favorites that I could spend a day rewatching no problem. I also need to add that I am a gore hound and the gorier the film or series is, the higher my chances of enjoyment so please keep this in mind.

My FAVORITE horror films are:

Brain Dead/ Dead Alive: I need to state that this film basically has EVERY trigger in it and did not age well AT ALL in terms of some of the jokes. However, having watched it when I was young, it was a crucial part of me becoming a horror fan and I love this trainwreck dearly...for its special effects. Mainly just the special effects. I do appreciate how the film is kinda split in two. The first being funny zombie comedy stuff and the last half being...well a shit ton of blood and gore. Also it has stop motion in it at some points which I love as someone who also adores stop motion.

The Final Destination Franchise: Not recommended for the paranoid but I love this 2000s ass film franchise. The premise is creative as well as the deaths. I also love that Death is super petty in this series and refuses to just kill someone up front and instead chooses the Rube Goldberg approach to offing people. Plus the original voice actor for Kratos pops up in one of the films which is a bonus if you are a God of War fan like me. If I had to pick a favorite out of the franchise, I'd say it's a tie between the first and the last. HOWEVER, the last film is oh so more rewarding if you watched the entire franchise-I will not spoil why but just trust me.

Candyman: The original film specifically. It's so interesting how the antagonist is a living myth and is so poetic in his words that sometimes I kinda forgot he was the villain. I love his design and the fact this film deeply touches on certain issues and not just being focused on being a typical slasher.

The Haunted Mansion: Yes the...original Disney live action film with Eddie Murphy. I count it as a horror film because it was genuinely scary to me as a kid. There's still some horrific stuff in it now. I mean, you got the opening credit scenes leading up to a dude straight up hanging himself, the zombies looking like straight up corpses, A DUDE GETTING DRAGGED TO HELL. The music still haunts me to this day.

Nope: A recent addition but this is def one of the best horror films I've seen. It is filled to the brim with so many details that you don't catch on the first watch. Plus, the "spaceship" is such a well designed element that I still think about how it works and how smart of a concept it was. I love the protagonists in this film as well and the bit of humor sprinkled in. I actually enjoyed this film so much I read the script for it since it was online (which I've never done for any film before). Cannot recommend this film enough.

Us: This film is just a level or horror that I only feel when reading Junji Ito stories. The idea of a doppelganger never scared me until this film because the entire concept is your other self hunting you down to kill you. There's a murder spree scene in this film that is so well framed and done because you see both everything and nothing at the same time because of the camera angle. The Tethered are underrated as monsters.

The Thing: The old one with the husky dog. The original Among Us and the best "WHO THE FUCK IS THE KILLER" film. The special effects are amazing and the fact that the audience cannot tell who the alien is is so great because we feel just as scared as the crew members. Plus...the alien absorbing people is just straight horrific.

This list is getting long and I have so many horror films I got jingling around in my brain but my last one is Pet Semetary. I was gonna put Poltergeist, which is also a favorite and is the only paranormal film I enjoy (I am not a big fan of ghost movies but that's because I love gore and carnage), but I kinda...don't really see it as a horror film. It certainly is one but there's so many cute and funny moments and it's kinda more whimsical than scary to me.

ANYWAYS BACK TO PET SEMETARY-There's an unsettlingness to it that I can't really explain. It's not just the dead pet aspect, it's just the vibes in it. The happy music becoming twisted as well as the always foreboding mood where you know something bad is gonna happen. There's a couple things that are left up to the audience's imagination but there's enough context that you just KNOW something terrible happened (like that ending). Plus, the little kid actor going on a killing spree is...kinda funny. He's just a little fella with a knife having a good ole time before bedtime.

Okay so. I'm going to write this on my phone and try to add a read more that hopefully works.

Warning: Body horror, nonsexual nudity, and unreality.

So here we go.

Man's hand has too many fingers. Also, I don't think the wrist slims down like that from the arm.

Something about the arm just looks... off. I think it's how skinny the elbow looks in comparison to the rest of the image.

Man has a really deep armpit. I'm also not a hundred percent sure if that's how the pectoral muscle falls against the shoulder.

My favorite part of this whole piece. His hand is clenched, loosely, under his skin. Can you see that? What do you mean, those are his abs? Abs aren't hand-shaped!

Literally look at how low his legs are from where his hips are. Look at how the frontmost leg is his left leg even though his right side is facing us. Look at that twisted anatomy, that massive calf in the back, those knees. Because that's anatomically correct.

Speaking of anatomically correct, what are those people in the bottom-left corner doing? Throwing a party? Please stop. I will get the bouncer

Man's right eye is literally yellow. It's a different color from his left eye.

What is going on with that wing

Middle woman now. The top of her head above the crown is bald. The AI engine didn't register that her hair style should continue past the crown. You can see the attempt, but not enough.

Speaking of her hair, what's that weird bit doing in front of the man? The rest of her hair is flowing but this one is all clumped up.

The crown is resting on her hair instead of on her head. If it were made of metal, it'd fall around her collarbone. There's just nothing to keep it on there.

Why do her nipples look like that

What is that line between her boobs that goes past her ribcage and down to her hip? Is that anatomically accurate? I don't THINK so? What was the AI trying to do there? She also has two belly buttons because there's no way that's a belly button piercing THAT high over the belly button.

I forgot to mention her irises are different sizes.

And her nostrils.

Her right hand is two hands merging into one. That is so sexy.

What's not sexy is how her waist and her hip are just. Too long? Too wide? It just seems off. Compared to the other side, it seems to come out too far.

I'm trying to remember why I circled her legs, though. Maybe they just seemed too long to me at the time. Her right leg does look a bit odd near the bottom, though--it slants weirdly toward where her knee would begin.

Hand take 2: Electric Boogaloo.

What the fuck is that artifacting under that thing she's holding. How could you possibly excuse that.

Person in the back. What the fuck happened to their arm. What happened to their wrist. Why is their ring finger the background

Their eyebrow melts from a shadow on the bridge of their nose into their forehead.

Collarbone anatomy! Honorable mention: The red ear. I didn't circle it because I couldn't tell if it was in the right place or not, but why is it so orange?

I think I circled it to point out the broken anatomy but holy shit flash back to the woman in front. A piece of the top of her arm was cut off. Ouch. Also her hair has that typical 'painterly AI look' to it. Anyway. Back to the person in the back.

Specifically look at where the torso ends and the hip begins. Imagine if your hips started right below your ribcage.

Now imagine if your hips started right below your ribcage but then skipped forward a little bit and suddenly you have another set of hips. Seriously. This is how anatomy works apparently.

So yeah. That's this trainwreck. Let me know if you see anything I missed. This is hilarious and I am obsessed. Specifically by the hand stuck under the guy's skin like oh my god. That in itself is art.
