This one is on my sister (@oldmanwithashield) again!!! It’s not quite as full as padme’s, but she has a ridiculous amount of hair! Anyway, let me know what you think, but please be respectful with your comments. Let me know what other movie hairstyles you would like to see!

The fact that Padme’s most recognized looks are when she had her hair up instead of when her beautiful curls are cascading is a crime actually

I've been really enjoying the @kosmichippie Ultimate Decades Legacy video series over on YouTube. While the traditional decades challenge begins in the 1890s, the ultimate version has you travelling all the way back to 1300 to start. This has inspired me to create a series of CC collections and lookbooks, starting with century by century, then whittling down to era/decade as fashion cycles start turning over more quickly.
First up is the 1300s. I didn't think I'd be able to find many female hairstyles for this century, but I was pleasantly proven wrong. During this period unmarried women wore their hair freely, where as wives and widows were expected to wear their hair either up or cut and covered at all times. Part two will include veils and other headwear, so enjoy these more liberated styles for now. CC links under the cut.

Alicent based on this post about Modest!Alicent by @dirtytransmasc
Details under the cut
-I was obsessed with the veiled pieces that OP mentioned and I loved the image of her in gold veils that looked like she was dripping in gold.
- The veils are based on Catholic veils (specifically and 4), medieval head coverings like ones worn in Ophelia 2018 and wimples (2 and 6), Star Wars (5), and the Tudor period (7). Most of them are sheer because one, I couldn’t figure out how to wrap them around her head without her looking like a blob of color and when it did look okay she looked like she was wearing a hijab and it felt too appropriative to draw on Alicent. This is also why her hair is visible in most of them but in practice she would cover them with thicker fabric.
- Alicent wears long billowing sleeves with heavy skirts. OP said that Alicent would wear dresses that conceal her figure which I tried to maintain but some have a shapelier silhouette as it looked better with my art style. I hope one day I will be able to draw modest clothing without making someone look like a blob but I’m not there yet.
- Dress 1 is inspired by the series Isabel 2011, which from what I’ve seen has some nice costumes. It also gave me a good base for something historical and modest but still luxurious.
- The second is based on Lady Macbeth and Ophelia in the Ophelia movie. I debated on adding braids but I think Alicent would’ve worn them. They’re neat, mature, and somewhat conservative hairstyle while also giving her an opportunity to wear more accessories which is expected of her as a queen. I know OP said modest but irl royalty had to wear extravagant clothes to prove their status and with the pressure of civil war and being the second wife, Alicent would certainly wear luxurious jewelry while staying simple compared to the rest of the Targaryens. The beads are Targ inspired as she would also need to embrace Valeryian styles to stay in Viserys’s favor.
- This side view of Alicent has the deepest neckline because that is what worked best for a side view. I also noticed Catholic veils tended to have patterns so I added simple gold flowers. The dress is medieval based.
- What sparked my artistic interest was OP’s descriptions of the veils so I had to do a dedicated work with a veil in the spotlight. In the original post, it was mentioned that Alicent would wear shawls with tapestry like designs. I couldn’t think of anything that would look good with fabric folds and creases but on a lace veil? I could definitely do that. Tbh it’s not my favorite design (Helaena’s was my favorite) but I think it represents Alicent’s loyalties pretty well. I’m personally pleased with how the dragons and tower came out.
- I don’t care about Star Wars but some of Padme’s outfits have screamed Alicent to me since the beginning. The golden lace veil with pearls is the centerpiece so her dress is much more toned down.
- This is again based on Ophelia’s costuming and on OP saying Alicent appears to be dripping in gold wearing golden veils. I added jewelry shaped like the Hightower sigil with green gems decorating it.
- OP mentioned shawls with tassels and patterns so I had to add them onto the last dress. Well, I had fur instead of tassels but the statement still stands. I also tried to make the veil based on Spanish mantillas but it never turned out correct so I kept it simple. The dress is a mix of Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 and the Tudors era.

God help us – for art is long and life is short! (Faust: First Part, written by Johann Wolfgang Goethe and published in 1808)
hiiii heres the first part of what will (hopefully!!!) be a series of western women's fashion from 1800 to today. obviously, not all women looked like this or dressed like this. in fact, most didn't - these are largely going to be looks worn by women of a higher socioeconomic class, at least until maybe the 1880s. this is for a few reasons, mostly being, uh... availability of cc. i'd love to MAKE some historical cc but my laptop won't run blender. another reason is that the fashion of the upper classes is typically better recorded than that of lower classes, especially before the advent and popularization of photography. i'm just rambling now.
anyway! the first part: 1800-1809. we see the opulence of the georgians cling onto fashion in bows, feathers, and jewels. we also see the rise of waistlines to the iconic empire waist, and the influences of neoclassical aesthetics in fashion. hairstyles in particular were emulating those of the ancient greeks, also pulling a bit from the stuarts. this decade also allows me to share one of my favorite tidbits of fashion history: the coiffure à la titus! for a short time in the 1790s through the 1810s, some women (french women especially) took to cutting their hair short and choppy. the reasons range from inspiration taken from a popular play at the time, to symbolizing solidarity with women executed via guillotine. some men at the time thought that having short hair was actually hazardous to women's health, so while the titus cut wasn't the norm, it was widespread enough to cause quite a storm!
you'll notice that 1806 is missing. that's because the dress i used, uh... completely messed up the arms and i did not notice until i was making the gif. if you wanna see it, it'll be under the cut.

About Mods for BG3
preface:
Baldur's gate 3 is still getting updated, we never know how mods previously installed will behave when the next update roll out, so keep in mind that modding your saves is a risk, you might loose your save, corrupt something, or as it happened to a lot of people, get locked out of new update things ( like the new kissing animations which are broken for some people ) so be aware of this when installing mods
Installing mods for BG3:
first thing first, use the bg3 mod manager NOT vortex, Vortex is known to cause issues with some bg3 mods.
here is a tutorial on how to setup and use the BG3MM
here is to download the latest release of BG3MM
your first installed mod is going to be the Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer , it is mandatory for the grand majority of mods, if you ever modded your game only to be greeted by a weird party of naked men instead of the character creation screen, that's because you didn't have the mod fixer, so love yourself, install it.
now your game is set to be modded, go to Nexus and go nuts!
(note that reading the mod description before you install a mod is the still the best way to know how to avoid a conflict and install a mod properly ! )
Making mods for BG3
first the tools :
Islib toolkit
BG3 multitool
notepad ++
blender ( i use the 3.6.4 version personally )
Norbyte's BG3 GR2 importer/exporter
padme's blender addons
and here are some tutorials i've found that are very good to learn the basics
first:
Padme4000 's BG3 Install GR2 plugin then Import and Export example
hair mods:
Padme4000 's BG3 Creating Hairs Post Patch 9
Bububull's how to set up a hairstyle mod using my blank template ( only shows the code part )
armor/outfits : ( some of the code parts are outdated, but all the rest is very useful )
Druundev's How to make custom armour for BG3 - Part 1 MESHES
Druundev's How to make custom armour for BG3 - Part 2 TEXTURES
Druundev's How to make custom armour for BG3 - Part 3 FINAL
Adding Cloth Physics to any Armor
other/misc:
bg3 wiki 's modding ressources is a well of knowledge ! and FULL of very useful informations
If you can ☕Support me on Ko-Fi ☕ it helps a lot!
