Text
“The Lord hath reigned, he is clothed with beauty: the Lord is clothed with strength, and hath girded himself.
For he hath established the world which shall not be moved.
The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves, with the noise of many waters.
Wonderful are the surges of the sea: wonderful is the Lord on high.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭92:1, 3-4‬ ‭

The LORD is upright; He is my Rock...
How Great Are Your Works It is good to praise the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your faithfulness at night with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre.
For You, O LORD, have made me glad by Your deeds; I sing for joy at the works of Your hands. How great are Your works, O LORD, how deep are Your thoughts! A senseless man does not know, and a fool does not understand, that though the wicked sprout like grass, and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed.
But You, O LORD, are exalted forever!
For surely Your enemies, O LORD, surely Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; with fine oil I have been anointed. My eyes see the downfall of my enemies; my ears hear the wailing of my wicked foes.
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. In old age they will still bear fruit; healthy and green they will remain, to proclaim, “The LORD is upright; He is my Rock, and in Him there is no unrighteousness.” — Psalm 92 | The Reader’s Bible (BRB) The Reader’s Bible © 2020 by Bible Hub and Berean.Bible. It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
and the melody of the harp.
For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
How great are your works, Lord,
how profound your thoughts!

COURAGE for the UNKNOWN SEASON Navigating What’s Next with Confidence and Hope By Jan Silvious Even though Jan Silvious titled her book, Courage for the Unknown Season, we know what that season is-the season of aging and its inevitable, relentless progression toward death. We’ve seen it, some of us are already in it, and it can be a scary place, with many unknowns other than the end. Jan…

Jesus, My Author
What great joy is ours! We have more than a best-selling author to write our story. We have the Creator of the Universe!
There’s something that I’ve noticed as an author. My characters become so real to me. In the Strong Delusion Trilogy, because it was a three book set, we traveled many days together, even years.. They became such a part of my life that when I finished that series, I felt such an emptiness, as though I had lost some very dear friends. That might sound strange to you and yet maybe if there are…

Daily Prayer for the Lord's Day, April 30, 2023
Prayer: Our Father, as we approach another Lord’s Day established and prepared by you for the good of your people, we are painfully aware of the struggle of this miserable, fallen world. We live in it and are journeying through it as we slowly but surely draw closer to our eternal rest. As such, our God, we are thankful for the provision of this one day in seven designed to remind us of your love…

"Give Thanks To The Lord!" -- Roy Knight
The inscription of Psalm 92 declares it to be a song for the Sabbath day. It was sung to direct the worshipper’s mind upward to God with a spirit of thankfulness. Though the author is unknown, many ascribe the psalm to David as one can readily see his life unfold throughout these verses. The theme of the psalm is found in the first two verses. Three avenues of thankfulness are mentioned. First,…
