Xyx’s hair tickled the base of your neck, his arms slithering around your waist and gripping like a vice. “I think the odds are in my favor today.”

You refused to acknowledge him for the time being. You’d asked the receptionist at the hotel you were staying very politely that you needed two beds, and here you were. In his arms. Which was nice, you loved him and he loved you and he was really warm, but it would be even nicer if he wasn’t being such a smug asshole about all of this. “This is only something that happens in bad fanfiction.”

“Oh, don’t act like that doll. You love me.”

You covered up the fond smile that was growing on your face by rolling your eyes. “Some days. Now I’m wondering why we’re even together.”

"So what I'm hearing is," he grabs your jaw with gentle fingers and places kisses where your jaw and neck meet, more smile than lips. "You admit that you love me? That you're sooo obsessed with me?"

"Oh my god," You feel laughter bubbling up in your throat and the faux scowl that once covered your face has been replaced with something more genuine. "You suck."

You feel Xyx's teeth against your skin. "And you're in love with me. What does that make you?"

"A fool."

He hums, closing his eyes and chuckling. His smirk is nothing but mischievous, you don't dare to trust him. "I was going for mental, or deranged even, but sure."

"I'm gonna punch you." You roll your eyes again and make an attempt to move your hands, but they're pinned to the side of your head before you can even go that far.

Xyx's eyes are now open and cunning. Like a devil, you think. Like a really pretty devil. "With what hands?"

Your guard is let down and you barely notice him leaning towards your face, pressing angel-like kisses all over your face. You sigh. "You suck."

"You've said that before. Are you just so in love with me you can't think right now?"

You kick him in the shin and give him a quick kiss to his lips. "Don't push it too much."

Xyx laughs and you swear to everything that is righteous and holy that it's the most beautiful thing you've ever heard. Your limbs are entangled and you could swear you hated him a minute ago, but when he's this pretty you forget why.

You push a strand of hair away from his eyes and he leans into your touch, kissing your palm softly. His laughter starts up again and his demonic smile returns. "Eww. You're being cringe right now."

You shove him off the bed. You remembered why you hate him.

•Ben always makes EJ dress up as Jason Voorhees to go scare all the other “proxies”

Rewrite Headcannons

Yuu can remember general knowledge from their world. The amnesia starts to kick in when they try to remember anything related to them personally. They can cheat sometimes for more specific knowledge they’ve learned back in their world as long as they don’t think about why they know that information.

Because of their amnesia, they will occasionally refer to themselves as "Jackie Doe", or sometimes just "Doe", as a reference to John and Jane Does.

Grim doesn’t have any positive interactions with humans prior to living in Ramshackle. Nothing super traumatic personally, but he’d heard stories from some of his fellow monsters when they’d give him the time of day.

Yuu traveled to Twisted Wonderland with their cellphone. It has absolutely no service, but they have found a way to charge it, so anything that had been downloaded is available to them.

Yuu is not officially in a club but does frequent the pop music club the most. They try to visit every club at least once a month. They have a schedule.

Yuu excels at school naturally. Their best subject is History of Magic (as it requires no magic whatsoever), but their favorite is Alchemy (in equal parts because the science is fascinating and also because their favorite teacher is Divius Crewel).

Very "Jack-of-all-trades" in nature. They try to accumulate skills and basic knowledge for a lot of different subjects and hobbies. They don't have to be good, just good enough to have a foundation should they decide to pursue that avenue of knowledge.

Yuu's fashion sense and aesthetics change on a whim (some of the things they have in their closet back in their home dimension would make Crewel and Vil cry. a good thing they don't remember those outfits). They try to look put together and coordinated for whatever aesthetic or look they are going for every day though.

On that note, they have aquired a sizable collection of ribbons for Grim.

Fairly opportunistic. Gets annoyed easily when they think someone has wasted an opportunity. Also dislikes hypocrisy. They're one of those few people who hate hypocrites enough to where they actively try to avoid being one themself.

A pet peeve of theirs is people using words that they know the other party knows the definition of, yet the other party still uses it wrong. Like Azul calling himself "benevolent" absolutely pisses Yuu off.

Believix and the earth fairies

Believix was a new form introduced in season 4 which had the goal of helping the people of earth regain their belief in magic.

This form has made quite an impact as it was the first of many new forms to come that would be "Beyond enchantix" and leaving the whole thing of enchantix being the "Final fairy form" obsolete.

However what I, and I'm sure other members of the community could agree is that a way all this transformations could work is that they could all be specialised transformations that work better in a specific environment or situation but not necessarily replace enchantix. For example:

• Sirenix is a water only transformation, underwater it can grant you access to the infinite ocean and can be stronger than enchantix underwater. On land it wouldn't be weak, but enchantix would be definitely better suited.

Now coming back to Believix....

It was introduced on season 4, the season where the winx had to regain the belief of earth in magic. They gained their believix by making Roxy believe in then but even then, why couldn't bloom or stella get enchantix for example in season 1?? After all they got bloom's parents to believe in fairies but nothing happened....

Well here I come with a solution.

Believix is an earth fairy form. But how exactly could this work? And what does that have to do with bloom and stella? Couldn't they still earn it?

No, as a high earth fairy form. A fairy from outside the earth dimension couldn't naturally achieve this form. They would need enchantix, their final fairy form in order to be able to access that level as believix is pretty powerful on it's own and a magic winx/charmix fairy would not have the level required to understand all the spells and things that this transformation brings.

Well, earth is in a whole different dimension compared to magix, so it could be explained that fairies from earth have a different power level. Which is where believix comes into play, as this would be the base form for earth fairies. How?

This form could start with small wings like normal charmix/magic winx but as the fairy progresses and grows with their magic their wings would grow and that would work as a sign of their level and maturity.

What about their source of power?

Well apart from their magic it's pretty clear that the belief of people in them also give them quite a boost.

In this episode of the fourth season

On minute 20:40 while Morgana gives her speech about taking vengeance on humans she mentions this:

"Our fury will not spare the earth people who betrayed us. By no longer believing in magic they weakened us"

As you can see, she mentions that humans not believing in magic made them weaker.

But moving back to the topic, how would this form work on the fairies?

An experienced earth fairy could be able to probably be close to enchantix by training. This of course would depend on the fairy own training and experience and the belief humans have on magic. The stronger the belief in magic, the stronger the fairy, combining this with training and magic prowess.

Only a few could be in the same ground for something that could be able to be stronger than enchantix, so now, let's get the major fairies in here:

As we all know, they have very big wings and quite powerful capabilities. A major fairy could be the final step in the evolution of an earth fairy, their believix.

Once an earth fairy is has proven themselves to be powerful and wise, they would gain the honor to ascend to a Major fairy and be given a powerful power source that would multiply exponentially their magical capabilities.

This would come at a cost, which is the fact that if that power source gets damaged or destroyed, they would get hurt or even die.

As we can see, both Diana and Aurora power sources were shown (Diana the Sacred Bud and Aurora the Blizzard), and even though we don't see Nebula's or Sibylla's sources, they definitely have one too.

What would differentiate a major fairy from a normal earth fairy?

The abysmal power difference and wisdom they have. As being a major fairy not only means being someone strong, it also means that the fairy queen has given you the right to have your own court and therefore you also become a leader of your own group of fairies.

(We can see that with Sibylla and her rustic fairies, Diana and her Amazon fairies and Aurorra and her artic fairies)

(I theorize that nebula's fairies are the most prominent earth fairies due to sharing her wings colour and the fact that they always have weapons could align with Nebula being the major fairy of war)

Major fairies and queen Morgana are probably the only ones that know the trick about their special wings. Zoomix, Speedix and Tracix.

This special wings could have been spells and evolutions that the earth fairies made on their wings in order to be able to do a lot of task more effectively. But due to how useful they are, they're mostly kept only for the major fairies and queen.

Fairy dust....

For fairy dust, I'm pretty sure all earth fairies might have access to it. However their capabilities would depend on the level of power an earth fairy has. A normal earth fairy that is pretty new would probably not really know how to use it very well, an earth fairy with a bith more experience could use it for helping in some minor spells, becoming smaller or dispelling minor hexes. Or to make things fly like in Tinker bell.

The major earth fairies and Morgana woukd definitely have the most powerful fairy dust that could rival the dust from magix.

Gifts of destiny

Being variations of believix themselves, I would say that this work as a way for normal earth fairies to be divided into one of the four groups of the major fairies.

Amazon fairies from diana's court would gain a more plant related look while Aurora's fairies would gain special capabilities to resist cold temperatures as we could see that normal believix fairies like Roxy weren't able to stand the cold of Aurora's tower.

For Nebula and Sibylla I would say that maybe for Nebula's court, fairies would be very powerful and wouldn't need much of a variation of their believix. Sibylla on the other hand has a lot of rustic fairies that resemble satyrs, so maybe fairies on her court look more animalistic? Representing their connection to the forest more or it could vary.

In conclusion...

• Earth fairies have a different power system, their believix being their base and only form that evolves through time. This due to being a whole different dimension and therefore not originating from the dragon flame.

• Major fairies and Morgana are able to access the special wings and use the most powerful fairy dust. They're also linked to a power source that multiplies their power exponentially by the cost of having their lives connected to it.

• For regular earth fairies, their fairy dust doesn't have such capabilities but they can still miniaturize and do minor stuff.

• Roxy's believix doesn't look as "complete" as the winx due to it being Roxy's early believix form, aka her own charmix. If roxy keeps training her believix would become stronger and gain a different appearance.

• The reason as to why the winx believix looks so modern, could be related to them gaining belief of people from this era. While the earth fairies all had their believix during the era of knights and fantasy (probably arthurian legends time)

As new earth fairies emerge, their outfits could be very different compare to the old earth fairies.

Katelyn in MCD and PDH's Personalit

Katelyn in MCD and Katelyn in PDH are such different people but fundamentally they are the same. MCD Katelyn is described as having a level head and being someone in control of her emotions which PDH Katelyn is the polar opposite, she's someone who has trouble keeping her emotions in check.

MCD Katelyn is someone who loves the people around her and she's someone who has trouble opening up emotionally with people for fear of worrying them. She wants to keep people safe, it's a part of who she is as a person and her moral compass is what dictates her life unlike many other characters in MCD.

PDH Katelyn is different from this though, she loves her friends but she doesn't hold back from telling them things that might hurt them because she simply doesn't think those types of things through. She's rash with her actions and she isn't able to think ahead which is very telling when she's compared to her counterpart in MCD, someone who's been made to harm people and obey the commands of someone she hates simply because she doesn't have another choice and for fear that her family who she hasn't communicated with since she became a part of the Jury of Nine, will be harmed. MCD Katelyn is docile, not because that's her natural personality, we know it's not because we've seen PDH Katelyn's personality a lot more than MCD Katelyn's and PDH Katelyn is someone who hasn't yet been hindered by life, duty, and obligations. PDH Katelyn is someone in her most natural state, and by taking away some of her more childish characteristics we can see what MCD Katelyn would have been if she hadn't been a part of the Jury of Nine and someone who had to worry about staying alive in a place full of treacherous people who would kill her if given the command.

MCD and PDH Katelyn are one of the best examples of how circumstance can change you. PDH Katelyn is a child and she acts accordingly, she doesn't keep a level head even later into her life, during Mystreet unlike MCD Katelyn who is probably around Katelyn's age in Mystreet who acts cold and is unable to speak out freely because it's just too much for her to handle. One of my favorite parts about Katelyn in every universe is how she's so drastically different in each of them. She is one of the biggest victims of circumstance in this entire journey of Jess's Minecraft roleplays and I think it's very fitting.

Everything Katelyn does in both universes comes from a place of deep love and understanding. They are both people who worry about those around them even if they go about it in different ways. She's been one of my favorite characters to analyze right next to Travis and Aphmau's dynamic so far because of how complex her situation and lives were both in MCD and PDH.

Sorry for any spelling errors as always, I really want to do more about Katelyn in MCD and PDH but I don't know how to do that and put down my thoughts into words really well. I have so much more to say but I can't think of any ways to say it lol so this is going to have to do.

How Daphne Haunts the Narrative

I love the concept of a character haunting the narrative. Just… ugh I can’t even explain it.

My favorite examples of this are Sejannus and Lucy Gray in the Hunger Games.

I always found the concept of Daphne to be a very interesting one in the OG, this girl who was a Nymph and an amazing fairy sacrificing it all for her sister and winding up a ghost in a lake.

But I felt like that concept was never used to it’s full potential.

So… I tried to do just that.

In my rewrite, Daphne is almost this larger-than-life entity. She wasn’t just Bloom’s sister. 

She was an amazing fairy in her own right, she was a Nymph and the best Guardian of the Dragon Flame that’d been seen in centuries. On top of all of that, she was a dedicated Princess.

That’s part of what makes her tragic, she was the best, and she was still taken down.

Now, Daphne’s situation isn’t what I would call a proper haunting of the narrative, but she’s definetly very present in the way that, in some way or another, almost everything leads back to her.

Bloom is haunted by the idea of having to live up to Daphne, the more she learns about her sister the more she feels like she won’t be able to do just that. 

Bloom’s haunted by the memory everyone has of her sister, everyone who remembers Daphne has an insane level of respect for her and misses her dearly. That’s something that can intimidate Bloom from time to time and even make her jealous.

Then, there’s the fact that, if Domino hadn’t fallen and Daphne hadn’t been cursed, then Bloom wouldn’t even be a fairy in the first place.

Daphne gave up, not just the Flame but also a big part of her own power in order to keep Bloom safe and give her the power she would need to be the Guardian of the Flame.

Due to this, Bloom is haunted by guilt and resentment. Guilt due to the fact that pretty much everything she has could technically be seen as something that was ‘taken’ from Daphne. There comes the guilt, which then meets… resentment. Guilty resentment towards Daphne for giving her the Flame and being the action that drops the dominoes towards arguably every bad thing in Bloom’s life.

So, Bloom’s view and relationship of/with Daphne, is complicated to say the least.

This is something I love, since it allows for Bloom’s complex feelings to turn into something that I feel a lot of little sisters can relate to, just the confusion of loving and adoring your sister but also feeling jealousy and resentment and just, not being sure whether you should be like them and trying to be your own person when you have the same teachers… I think it’s kinda relatable in a way. If you take away all the magical shenanigans of course.

This is how Daphne haunts Bloom specifically, but this is named after the narrative, so how does Daphne haunt the very narrative of Veiled Wings?

That, is a very interesting question that has a bit of a complicated answer.

There are two ways in which Daphne haunts the narrative.

The first is ala Star Wars; the story ‘rhyming’. I don’t know if you’ve watched this very old interview with George Lucas but he said something along the lines of “the story rhymes”, what this means is that the same beats occur in the story, in opposite or contrasting ways. They ‘rhyme’.

This is what happens with Daphne and Bloom, in a sense, their stories rhyme.

Both grow up a bit lonely, both find their heart and soul in Alfea. Both make life-long friends there. Bloom finds her connections with fellow fairies while Daphne preffered witches and warlocks and Palladins.

They meet Tabitha and Stella, both with similar personalities but opposite powers. Avalon and Timmy, with the same habit of diving head first into research about anything they’re passionate about and being just a little (unapologetically) weird.

Then there’s their romances. Both Daphne and Bloom have tragedies as romances. Daphne and Valtor started off great, it was their ending that was oh so tragic. While, for Bloom and Sky, it’s Valtor that turns them into a tragedy in the middle of their relationship.

Politea and Selina, both dear friends lost to inner darkness.

Bloom’s story parallels a lot of Daphne’s. (Even if a lot of it is stuff that I just made up that hasn’t really been mentioned or explained).

The second way in which Daphne haunts the narrative, is that, like I mentioned before, almost everything leads back to Daphne in some way or another.

A lot of the villains or people we encounter have ties to her or are situations that she began/participated in in some kind of way.

Darkar was created in part due to Daphne. Darkar attacks Daphne, in turn, Valtor curses him and he becomes the red skeleton we know and love. Daphne is his origin story.

Before Bloom fought Icy, Daphne fought Icy’s cousin and her coven, who was the first to awaken the Ancestral Witches spirit. That is one parallel that I really like just, adding to the fight even if neither Icy nor Bloom are fully aware of the history of previous family also fighting.

Teachers we know (Griselda, Tabitha and Avalon most of all though Codatorta and Palladium also fall here) were once friends with Daphne.

Valtor’s entire reason for fighting is avenging and trying to bring back Daphne. And of course, the Ancestral Witches are locked away in time back in Domino as Daphne’s final act as a warrior. 

The end of Daphne’s story sets up the world the Winx start off in.

In a sense, all roads lead back to her.

The narrative can’t escape Daphne’s past actions, her choices, her story rhymes with Bloom’s and a lot of what happens in the story happens due to Daphne’s past and things that she once did.

Answering questions about O'Khasian culture in my rewrite from @zenixromeave (ty so much)

1. what kind of clothes do people wear? what is the weather like and how does this affect clothing? are there any patterns or motifs often used to decorate clothing?

O'Khasian clothing trends depend on who is in power at the time, however, I will answer based on what is popular during the MCD time period

The weather in O'Khasis is fairly temperate (think like the UK's kind of weather), which means it rains quite a lot, it hardly ever snows, and when it's hot, it's BOILING. This doesn't affect the populations clothing styles as much as it could, as the working classes are more inclined to wear more layers of clothing anyway, and it really only influences the upper classes when they want to travel

Many working class people in O'Khasis tend to wear blue, if they can afford it. A popular form of clothing style is a hooded capelet worn over the shoulders (similar to a cloak but not the same). Blue is a very popular color in O'Khasis, especially amongst those who can't afford to buy or maintain white fabric. Other clothing trends among the working class include but are not limited to

Both men and women tend to wear trousers, mostly for mobility in work settings.

For formal events like going to church, losely fitted fabrics are popular, as they were popular in Irene's time and people tend to imitate her clothing styles when in prayer

Many working class men specifically tend to obscure their face in public or religious settings (inspired by the High Priest)

Wearing teal and green during festivals, holidays and celebrations

It's a bit different for the upper-classes, as they can afford to maintain white fabrics and more 'fancy' things. As such, O'Khasian nobility dresses in a more 'traditional' way, but there are some notable differences, such as

Married men wear their hair in 'wedding braids' at almost all times, and if they are wealthy, these braids are decorated with fine jewelry and silver

Wealthy women wearing less layers of clothing than working class women, although it often looks the other way around due to some elaborate draping and pinning going on

Many upper class citizens of O'Khasis have the symbols of Irene stitched into their clothing, usually a flower that looks similar to our chrysanthemum, and almost always in gold (on blue fabric), or blue (on white fabric)

Other symbols that are popular in O'Khasis' upper classes clothing include - the moon (Eamonn), a rune of Enki, and occasionally numbers corresponding to a specific verse of their religious text

Only those highly affiliated with the church/the Jury wear symbols associated with Xavier, as it's seen as a sign of a warrior and/or someone who can be incredibly violent for a religious cause

2. is there any distinct architectural style? what materials are commonly used?

My mental vision of O'Khasis pulls from a number of sources, but the best I can describe it would probably be a combination of Ancient Roman and Perpendicular Gothic architecture. Lots of mosaics, fancy stained glass windows, arched tall buildings, beautiful sculptures coming off of houses and churches, that sort of thing.

The most commonly used material in O'Khasian architecture is concrete, brick, and wood. However, to be more specific, more fancy and elaborate churches tend to have marble and handcrafted wood interiors, whereas the churches used by the working classes usually just have regular floor tiles. The wealthiest families and most expensive houses have andesite in them as either flooring or statues, as andesite has to be imported, making it just as expensive as marble in O'Khasis.

Aaand that's all I got for architecture so far, idk why I fixated on flooring but there we go
