The Super Mario Bros Movie is the same as the Sonic the Hedgehog movie

Based off a major video game franchise.

Titular character is played by a celebrity actor (Chris Pratt and Ben Schwartz).

Main character is stranded in an unfamiliar land where he teams up with the locals (Peach and Toad, Tom and Maddie) to fight his iconic archnemesis (Bowser and Eggman).

Main villain is voiced by another celebrity whose name started with J (Jack Black, Jim Carrey) and is having an utter blast the whole time.

Main villain has an undyingly loyal sidekick of questionable sexuality (Kamek, Agent Stone).

Main villain gets a gloriously over the top musical number that gets interrupted by their sidekick.

Soundtrack is a mix of popular music and remixes of classic songs from the source material.

Flashbacks of the main character as a baby.

Final battle takes place in an American town (Brooklyn, Green Hills) where the power source the main villain wants to use is turned against him (the Power Star, Sonic’s quill).

Film ends with the main character choosing to live in the unfamiliar land, while the main antagonist is incapacitated for the time being as he swears revenge for an inevitable sequel.

Post credits scene confirms another major classic character to appear in a sequel (Yoshi, Tails)

The film received mixed reviews from critics where they say it’s harmless fun for the whole family, but fans of the source material will really get a kick out of it.

what branch of government do we think stone falls under?

i’m leaning heavily towards the secret service due to the fact that it makes sense that a special agent would be assigned to robotnik to 1. protect him as an asset and 2. keep an eye on him, but im not sure if im forgetting some other branch that could possibly host him
