I love the whole family dynamic hc builded up with William, and tbh all hc in general. I always thought on Cassidy and Cc bonding and being besties, and with the idea of non verbal bonding their friendship is been one of my favs between the kids!!

Michael's design is also one of my favs in all designs of him I've seen so far. Same with Circus Baby. The bunny teeth and nose of the aftons just got me, its so good.

What's with the weird fixation in drawing all the characters idealized skinny the fandom has. Like literally all characters. N then they get mad when something different happens.

Idk about you but I've grown up in a place where i got made fun of for literally being average size instead of skinny. In a place where my family would comment negatively on how fat people they didnt even know were. It got to a point where I hated the way i looked as a child, even developed an ed when i was 16.

Its so refreshing to finally see something different in media why do we have to continue shaming people for their existence, let people breathe.

AND YES!! The meals were all correct but one <XD google says that sea otters eat crab. So I googled "crab meat meal" and drew one of the things that came up. It might be a salad thing..? Or a crab pasta thingy.?? Not sure <XDD But MAN the potatoes would have been a good idea too-

One detail that I was fond of was the steam coming from everyone's cups. Though Peso and Barnacles have no steam, because they're drinking cold drinks! You get it?? Becuase they are cold creatures?? Don't like warm things??? I'm so smart 🤣

Yan Mahito x GN Reader.

Synopsis: Mahito wants to farm.

Warnings: Yandere themes, kidnapping, Mahito as his own warning, implied minor character death, and implications of violence/forced cannibalism.

Word Count: 800.

“Sounds fun! Looks so too!”

Mahito’s fingers tap and tap on the glass, unsurprisingly never leaving any fingerprints or smudges. He is a curse, after all. It makes sense. Not that you have to be reminded of such, with how little he knows of human culture, the world at large, or with how much he shapeshifts into a disembodied head at night to scare half-awake you. 

You are both sitting on a giant bean bag in the shape of a green slime of all things that Mahito brought in an hour or so earlier. Mahito, as expected, takes up most of it with a malformed arm wrapped around your shoulders and back. 

In your hands is a Nintendo Switch, the sticker case on the joycons, and the screen itself somewhat peeling off, but still the pink bunny and strawberry drawing designs stay intact.

The YouTube app is on, showing a playthrough of Stardew Valley. This part of the sewers had two bars of wifi from the little ramen place above it, something you are grateful for in some aspect. Because of it, you have one more piece of entertainment that is now Mahito bringing you back stale snacks and stuffed animals (that you pray to whatever higher power that they were not alive before Mahito got his hands on them) and nearly smothering you with hugs. 

This is calming. When you just read the dialogue of the characters and listen to the music and pay attention to the satisfying sight of the farmer planting pumpkin seeds and apple tree saplings, it is calming, you are calm, Mahito is, at least partially, calm.

Mahito wanted something to watch today and brought the Nintendo Switch for you to play with as he simply observes. It could be worse, you reminded yourself before you attempted to protest, stopping yourself. It could be much worse. He could turn you into the Nintendo Switch, or much, much worse.

It can be so much worse. He can be so much worse. Your life as a captive can be so much worse. Everything can be so much worse. That is a line you never want to cross because everything can be so, so much worse than it already is.

Mahito raises his free hand, and you pause the video, just as you were taught to. He then points again at the field of two-dimensional, square-like crops all in multiple rows of hoed soil. 

It’s springtime in the game, you think, from how the cherry trees have pink blossoms and petals falling onto nearby ground all around it.

Mahito counts with his fingertip, jumping from one plant to the next and then from one row to the next.

He whistles, and it makes you flinch because that is the same noise he makes whenever you scream, a reaction to when he brings a body part of someone you loved here, throwing it down beside the small dog bed you were given for good behavior, the blood staining the fabric as it falls with a grotesque, sort of plopping sound.

If Mahito wants to grow vegetables and fruit in the few places this sewer has sunlight, he can be your guest.

“Potato, cauliflower, garlic… green beans, kale, parsnips, rhubarb, strawberries…” He says each word like he has never heard of them before. Considering he has never really set foot in a grocery or convenience store for anything other than chips, it is not all that surprising. With another wave of his hand, you rewind it to the moment where the farmer character starts watering the seeds when they are freshly planted. He waits. So do you. “Sounds good! We can make some cheese cauliflower, parsnip soup, pizza, hashbrowns… just imagine it! Yum… I can just picture it now.”

With yet another wave of his hand, you stand up and so does he. Relief goes through you, like a ghost, both horrifying you and making you feel the smallest bit of hope that for once Mahito can act normal.

…

“M-Mahito, vegetables don’t grow that fast.” You say, looking down at the plate of baked fish with what smells like kale and garlic underneath, along with lemon and salt. “H-How-”

“It’s simply the power of love!” Mahito exclaims, inhaling loudly to smell the dish in front of you two. He sighs softly. “A pure demonstration of my love, all I do for you, and all I will do for you in the future.”

You could have sworn that there was the smallest voice from the fish if Mahito’s bragging of how much work went into making you a dish from Stardew Valley was not so loud.

Help me.

“Dig in, cutie!”

You would do anything for Mahito’s grin to not turn into a frown, so you pick up your fork with trembling, scarred hands.

What’s the name of your OCs?

They’re called Cotton (the blonde one) and Puppy (the dark haired one). The original idea for them was to make some silly wolf/bunny OCs (that’s why Cotton is called like that, it was supposed to be a joke about her tail…) but somewhere along the way they took over and became something completely different!

Is there a webcomic for your OCs?

Not currently! I don’t have the time or the skills (for now) but I’d love to give it a try in the future! 

I was wondering if you mind people using your OC art as character art/inspiration for DnD?Just games with friends that are for fun, nothing for commercial.

Just out of curiosity, are any of your OCs bisexual?

Both Cotton and Puppy are lesbians. That’s what I feel comfortable drawing since I’m a lesbian myself. If I ever do draw a bisexual OC I’ll make sure to mention it! <3

I think you said Cotton was a dominatrix in a previous ask, but is Puppy on the opposite side of the spectrum or is she just glad to be there whichever way?

Puppy is very much a sub. They both switch (Puppy as a service top and bottom and Cotton as a top and power bottom), but the dom/sub dynamic never changes. Also I wanted to mention that these dynamics do not transcend outside of the bedroom that much, there’s more to them than their kinks but I do love to draw them deep in their submissive/dominant headspaces. 

Are one of the lesbian fairytale characters trans?

I didn’t design either of them with that in mind, but I’m super OK with people headcanoning them as trans!

Do you allow people to use your art freely?

I don’t allow reposts of my work (not that it matters that much, since almost all my art has been already reposted a million times ))): but I’d really appreciate it if you just shared my posts instead of reposting my art). As for phone backgrounds/wallpapers or stuff like that, yeah!

Do you have an instagram account or other social media, I would love to follow you there.

My main platform is twitter (same @), I post all my drawings there and I’m usually more active over there. Tumblr is kind of like an archive. I really like the community here but I find it easier to reply/interact with people on twitter! As for instagram, I do have an old art account (same @, again) but I haven’t posted in so long. I may start posting there soon if a certain rich guy decides to keep destroying the bird app tho. 

I’ve always thought about this… how do you think it’d look if the aesthetics/styles [of your OCs] were reversed?

I’ll have to explore that in a future drawing, I haven’t thought much about it! 

Do you write fics for your characters or has anyone else written fics about them?

Not yet! A couple of my friends have offered, tho! I usually like to stick to drawing because that’s what I do best, I don’t wanna subject anyone to my writing (it’s not very good,,,,). When I share some of my Ocs stories, I think it will be in comic format. 

What's the story behind your OCs? 

There are several, actually!! I like to put my OCs in different universes. As for now, there’s the Fairytale AU, the modern setting AU (this is the original one), and now the Werewolf/Vampire AU. I also did a drawing of them as spiderwoman and black cat but I don’t think that AU is gonna make a comeback for a while. I’m also planning a scifi AU but I’m not sure I’d be able to pull off that aesthetic with my current art style so I’m still working on it. 

The Fairytale AU is the one I’m working on most of the time. I wanna release a small artbook with their story + illustrations. That was my main goal for 2023 but life got in the way, so maybe,,, 2024??? *crosses fingers* 

Is your shop down? It’s saying that it’s not available.

I open my shop for 1-2 weeks every now and then, that’s why it’s closed most of the time! My plan is to open the store again in september, if i manage to finish all the merch in time! I’ll announce it on my twitter and tumblr account when I do. 

Would you ever share a tutorial on how you make your art?

Yes, of course! I’m not very good at explaining my drawing process but If it helps anyone I’d love to! Just let me know what part of the drawing process you’d like me to focus on, because If i try to make a full illustration tutorial it’s gonna be too long/difficult to follow. 

May I ask what brush do you use for your lineart?

I use a different brush almost every time I start an illustration, I’m not very consistent when it comes to that (I think it’s mainly because I haven’t found the perfect brush yet!). But let me know what illustration you’re curious about and I’ll try to remember which one I used!

Do you come up with poses off the top of your head or do you use some type of reference? I always struggle with them.

It depends on what I’m drawing! Some of my drawings are reinterpretations of paintings (I’m obsessed with pre-raphaelite painters and arthurian legend paintings in general), so in those cases I try to adapt the poses to my art style. Even If I’m trying to recreate an already existing painting I end up changing the poses/proportions a lot along the way to fit my personal taste/art style. 

Other times, I just sketch from imagination (this is more entertaining, I think, since looking at references can make the drawing process a bit tedious). If I find it hard to draw a certain pose/part of the body I will look up references on printerest, no shame in using pictures! If I still can’t find the pose I need I’ll just take a picture of myself (this is like, a last resort for me. I’m too lazy for this). 

My personal advice would be to use references for the pose and then tweaking the pose and trying to make it more personal 

I love the way the armor was designed and rendered! Can you share some tips on designing armor? 

Drawing armor is something I still struggle with most of the time. I think I’ve learned a lot in the past year (please don’t look at my armor drawings from 2022,,,,, sigh) but I still struggle to draw certain poses/angles. My advice is: don’t hesitate to draw non-functional armor!!! There’s always gonna be someone like “actually, that armour makes no sense :)” well !!!! it looks cool as hell so who caresssss !!!!! 

I think it’s more important for you to get comfortable drawing armor before you start beating yourself up for not drawing accurate ones. It takes a lot of practice (I’m still learning!!!), especially if you’re trying to draw historically accurate ones, so start by having fun, and then work your way up from there.

Most of the tips I can think about are really hard to explain without a visual example, so let me know if that’d be a tutorial you would be interested in and I’ll try to make one (I’m cringing a little just saying this bc I swear, my armor skills are so bad compared to some amazing artists out there………..).

I was wondering if you use procreate , clip studio, or similar apps?

A mix of both. I used to draw on procreate only until I got a tablet and now I’m a clip studio user (csp sponsor me please), and now that’s all I use. I’m so used to drawing on PC now that I don’t think I’d be able to go back to procreate, but I still like that app a lot! All my drawings (even the ones I do on csp) always get retouched on procreate because I like some of the effects (*dreamy sigh* chromatic aberration filter,,, love u). 

I wanted to know if the marks Cotton has on her waist are tattoos or like a scar? 

Those are tats! Puppy is a tattoo artist ~~~ (I’m actually not sure if i’ll keep the waist tats on Cotton or if I’ll end up redesigning them,,,)

I was wondering if you take commissions?

Not right now. I also don’t have any plans of opening commissions any time soon! When I do, I’ll post a google forms on twitter and here on tumblr with the prices and type of comms I do. But there’s nothing scheduled.

These three were genuinely so much fun to design—

AU where everything is fine and Gabe and Ashley end up having kids! Unfortunately to get these kids Ashley had to sell the soul of her first born to Demon Daddy but it’s fiiinnneeeeee—

Lilith “Lily” Emmanuel - Able to talk to the demon through her dreams, much like her mother. Strained relationship with her due to the whole selling soul thing. Not nearly as bad as Ashley and her own mother, but there’s some tension. Huge daddy’s girl, still very attached to Gabe.

Issac “Zac” Emmanuel - Middle child syndrome. Both Lilith and Luke think he’s a pussy, and they’re right. Draws like Ashley does, but he actually has some skill. He likes drawing still life’s. Ashley gave him the bunny hoodie when he was 10 and he wears it everyday.

Luke “Lu” Emmanuel - Little shit, always scheming. Surprisingly good in school, his favorite subject being science. Ashley babies him, so he goes to her a lot of the time when he does something bad. Tries to wrestle and playfight with Gabriel, despite his dad not being much of a fighter. Better than Issac though. Inherited his grandma’s eye color.

idk why but while i was watching my little pony episode 5 season 6 i just had this sudden urge to give some information/headcanons about my ava/m au stickfigures' designs,,,

soOOooO here we are!! ><

Let's start with...

⑅ ♥̩̥̩ . ! ! HandMade! Stickfigures ! ! . ♥̩͙ˊ

━ . the design choice for them was inspired by @/cloudystormy98 and @/krusiecanon on X!!

━ . the ones that were handmade have antenna and tail because they were bred specifically to be a sort of 'animator's pet', if you know what I mean? hence the tail as if they were some kind of animal, while the antenna represents the fact that they are different from other stick figures. (you know how humans like to depict other beings (excluding animals) as Aliens who have antennas? So yeah, think of it like that. lol) + the colors were specifically designed to represent their powers! It could also just be a color that I'd thought it could fit. lol

━ . the ties on their antennas serve to represent the bond they have with other stickfigures (can be with other handmade stickfigures too!); It can also represent the connection they have with them. (The colors were picked to represent the said stickfigures.)

━ . not only that, but these ties can also glow, and every time they glow, it just means their connection is getting stronger or/and the handmade stickfigure is thinking about them.

━ . and yes, these ties can disappear if the connection and bond they have with each other breaks completely. even after a heated fight, the only thing that will happen is that the tie may have some glitches (like flashing repeatedly as if it is slowly disappearing), but it will not disappear unless the connection and bond they have with each other completely breaks.

━ . in other words; think of it like a friends to strangers trope. some friendships doesn't last forever, which is why they can go from besties to complete strangers.

━ . their tails and antennas can move according to their emotions! ;3 (idk- i just find it cute. xd) kinda like a dog or a cat- lol

━ . cat, dog and bunny vibes. they can purr like a cat, they can growl like a dog, and they can be as energetic as a bunny. xd <3

━ . website! stickfigures are not the same as handmade! stickfigures! stickfigures! while handmade! stickfigures were programmed to be the animator's pet, website! stickfigures were programmed to entertain humans.

━ . hm! stickfigures were designed to act sorta like a robot, a pet. while ws! stickfigures were programmed to nothing else but to entertain; whether they are destined to forever fight with each other, or anything else. they were programmed exclusively for the sole purpose of being objects of entertainment. they were never meant to gain conscience. they didn't even had a chance. (as in; unlike handmade ones, websites ones had no possible way of gaining conscience.)

━ . not much to say about them, honestly... they are like humans, act like humans, and behave like humans.. except that they are stickfigures, not humans. xD

━ . there are some things that can differenciate them from humans, though...

━ . they can speak, but not the way humans usually do. 'Speaking' for them is gestures; they don't have a voice, so their language is gestures. they communicate through gestures. (okay i mentioned gestures 4 times already- xd)

━ . that language goes to all kind of stickfigures, although some are able to actually talk, it is only through text, and not with actual voices.

I think it's no surprise to ANYONE that knows me that Director D has always been my favorite, since day 1. There was a moment where he was almost replaced by Binary Bard, but he is a close second. Director D is my favorite because he is associated to my nostalgia of a time when I was obsessed with being a spy or ninja when I was a kid. (Spy kids may have played a BIG role in that.) Playing as an agent in that island was so exciting for me, but I do remember having trouble with certain parts like the decoder. (In hindsight I probably would be horrible spy XD.) Now that I'm older, his island is still one of my favs for that reason, but it's not my number one. I wish we could have gotten a bit more backstory for him, but, what can you do. (But create a backstory for him and I have.)

⋆ You Relate To: Black Widow ⋆

Black widow is a character I don't really talk about or draw like....ever, which is crazy because she's probably the character I relate to the most, just like many other artist do too I'm sure. I relate to her in the way of being jealous of other people's art success, and the constantly comparing yourself to others. They say you are your worst critic after all. I don't so much anymore. I'm actually proud of where I am in my art journey, but I used to do that a lot when I was younger, especially when I just started doing digital art.

⋆ Your Favorite Design: Ringmaster Raven ⋆

Look at him, 'nuff said. His design is amazing. I love the color palette, the mask used to cover his true look, the raven theme with the wings and mask, the hat with eyes, everything. His design is the best because it matches with the overall theme of the island, it being a MONSTER CARNIVAL, and he is the Ringmaster. I remember how hipped I was when his island trailer released. One of the best islands for sure.

⋆ Is Underrated: Count Bram⋆

Yeah, remember when I was constantly drawing him for a short period of time? It's for a reason. I love my vampire peepaw who's confused about everything. I'm curious, do people consider him a villain? I kind of don't for the reason that he kidnapped Katya because he thought she was Anabelle, and once he was cured and was bought back to reality, he apologized for it because he didn't know. You want to talk about villain? Christopher is the real villain, you can't change my mind. Anyway, I was looking at the old art I drew of him, and he looked familiar to me. Then it all came together. You know who he reminds of? Exactly? Simon Petrikov, you know, Ice King from Adventure Time? Not only do they have the same hair style and would have the same personality, but they were both humans at some point with a partner, and once they became what they became, all they thought about was their partner, aka Anabelle and Betty.

Poof, mind blown. Vampire peepaw deserves more love.

⋆ You'd get along with IRL: Amelia ⋆

Amelia is another character I don't really talk about or draw, mainly because I associate her with the new era of Poptropica. But, I don't think that's fair. Amelia is actually a very sweet character that I think little me would have appreciated if she came to the game sooner. I would probably get along with her really well, considering how silly, and nice she is. Not to mention, her love for cute stuff. Imagine her unicorn bedroom but replaced with bunnies. That's my room right now. I think that even traveling with her would be really fun. She would have gotten under the "you relate to" category too but I didn't want Amelia on here twice. XD

⋆ And finally...Your Favorite Side Character: Dr. Spyglass ⋆

I... do not know how to explain this one. Dr. Spyglass only gets a few words of dialog, and we know nothing about him in canon, besides him working for HQ, and being an eye doctor. I won't lie, I actually had a crush on this guy years ago, hence why I shipped him with Muddy. (I cringe at that ship now. XD) Probably because...he looks like Director D...with a lab coat. >_> Look at both of them and TELL ME they are not related, I dare you. My version of them are. I love the idea of this silly scientist being hired by his brother after failing the entry agent exam, not because he pitted him, but because he understood how incredibly smart he was and is. Constantly being compared to his brother and what he could have been. So, you can say I like MY version of him... a lot.

JUNS HERE!! I was having a lot of issues with her ref at first and it made me super unmotivated to work on her, to be fair I still think she looks a little wonky, but she looks SO much better and I'm actually pretty proud of how her ref turned out! Jun's hair is pretty much the same, but I did make the gradient more noticeable, and then of course she has different hair styles with each of her outfits! I decided to have Jun lean more towards natural looking makeup rather then fun makeup, though I do think she'd do fun makeup as well, you guys can draw her in any makeup you guys want! Jun's outfit is pretty much the same but I did want to add more patterns to it, I think I may have gone a little extreme with the tiny bunnies on the pink side of her cardigan, I still think she's cute though! I'm really in love with her outfits! They're all stuff I would wear in real life, fun fact Jun's main outfit is inspired off of an outfit I do wear. Another thing that's changed with Jun is her pronouns. Yep, Jun only goes by she/her now, so I'll be heading through my posts at some point and be changing her pronouns. This was decided today! As for your relationship with Jun in the story, it's changed as well. You and Jun are a lot closer, but still Jun used to be shy when she was younger so you weren't as close to her or Kage as you were with Haruto and Aki who are your age and more sociable, however you and Jun have gotten a lot closer seeing as she's become a lot more outgoing! As for her yandere tendencies, she mainly stalks and isolates you, she does not like getting her hands dirty. Also this isn't specifically Jun related, it's for all the love interests, but as you can see you'll now be able to actually go out on dates with them! I was hesitant to add this in given the short time period of the game, but you know all of the characters anyways by the beginning of the game and even then I want there to be plenty of time and content to really get to know the characters! I do also want you to be able to choose their hair style and outfit for the date as well! So for example you're going on a date with Jun, you could have her wear her normal date outfit, but have her wear her hair in pigtails like in her casual 2 outfit.

Every morning, you wake up and go to school with Lindsay and Tyler.

In your packed lunch, you always made sure to spare a small fruit salad for Lindsay and Tyler, a protein bar.

You weren’t the third wheel. You were the dad.

“Mind your step, Tyler.” you pull said sportsman from slipping on a spill on the stairs that could have earned him an injury so early in the day.

“Oh! Thanks!” Tyler smiled in gratitude,“Man, sports first thing is the best breakfast to have to start the day!”

You nod,“I’ll be getting my psychology test results back, so I’m hyped for that.” you turn to Lindsay whose naive eyes weren’t present,“Do you know what lesson you’ll be having first?”

“Huh?” Lindsay blinks and pointed a finger to her chin,“Something about reading...” so, no.

“English?”

“Ohh! I have Art and design! That tech thing with horses!” Strange how reading was the first thing that came to mind then,“Which way do I go for it again?”

“That way, Lindsay,” you point to the left.

“That’s why so many people are going there!” the gorgeous girl stares at the large chunks of students she’s probably never spoken to before walking in unison as though it was new, before her bottom lip quivers,“I don’t wanna go by myself, could one of you maybe come with me?”

“Course, Linds!” Tyler volunteers happily, putting his arm around Lindsay,“We’ll see you at the cafeteria, (Y/N)!”

“Have a good lesson, you guys!” you wave at the couple,“Wrong way!”

There were some classes you shared with Lindsay and Tyler, sometimes with just one of the other(mainly the subjects that didn’t have sets).

Lindsay always loves sitting next to you in the middle of the classroom. You played frequent drawing games with her between writing down the lesson’s content and she asked you a lot of relationship advice.

With the classes you had with Tyler, you wouldn’t be just sitting as a pair, but nearby other male acquaintances and have yourselves deep conversations with them.

You, Lindsay and Tyler had your presumed “closer” friends from different cliques, yet you three preferred spending lunch with each other on the same table, by the window.

You’re normally the first one there.

With the other two, it was hard to know, but easy to calculate- if Lindsay arrived second, that means Tyler got hurt somewhere. But if Tyler arrived second, that meant Lindsay got distracted and completely forgot she was meant to be having lunch.

As available, it was the first fate.

“Tyler... What happened to you?” you asked your friend who was setting his tray down, face messed up.

“Oh Theodore, what did they do to you!” Lindsay squeaked similarly, more as fright than as question.

“Tyler, Lindsay...” he mumbles Lindsay’s mistake, dropping his heavy bag under the table and taking his seat next to you,“Do you have a plaster I could use?”

“I got you.” you zip open your bag for your first aid kit.

“Tyler, don’t schools have a nurse?” Lindsay asked, tilting her head,“I thought every school had a nurse...”

“Those old ladies don’t do anything...” her boyfriend groans at the pressure of your finger applying the plaster,“Thanks, dude. I would be dead if it wasn’t for you.”

“Oh my gosh, me too!“ Lindsay gasps, dropping her fork,“(Y/N) has been the best smoothies I’ve ever gotten! My skin has been softer than a bunny rabbit since I drank it!”

A valid confusion spreads across Tyler’s bandaged face, trying not to move as you went on to clean his cheek,“Linds... What are you talking about?”

“That smoothie you bought for me last Saturday! Or was it Monday?” she suddenly turns to you,“(Y/N)! I didn’t see you there! You have this amazing smoothie named after you, I’m jealous! I wish I was named after something so phenomenal! So um, the (Y/N) that can blink, could you help me with this math homework I got?” she picks up her large pink handbag and begins searching through it,“I know we’re at school, but I don’t wanna do this at home when I have fashion to attend to!”

“I always knew you would rock the runaway!” Tyler grinned a toothy grin, digging into his school tray of pasta after you finished.

“Thanks, Tyler!” she blows him a kiss, with a hand gripping on a booklet,“But I gotta use some of my mascara ink to write as well. Could you help me, (Y/N)?”

You nod,“I’ll talk you through it.” she pushes her chair closer to your side.

She was in the lower class, so her homework should be more easy- to you, anyway.

Well, Lindsay must really have no idea how maths functioned because you were now on the eighth question, skipping the other seven, this one about simultaneous equations,“Which value do you want to make the same?”

“Uhhh...” she taps her temple,“All of them!”

“It doesn’t work like that, Lindsay.”

“Why not?”

“Because you need to have either x or y be the same so you can cancel them out to find the value to substitute in to find the other.” you explained, circling the two different xs,“So if you decide to make x the same, you will need to multiply both the x, the y and the outputs by the the lowest common multiple of the xs which is-“ 

“Ahhh, I give up!” she whines, using her multicolour pen to scribble over the question,“I can’t do this, I’m not made for this! First they make me wear a cardigan, now they make me do maths? Why couldn’t I do makeup instead...? All this is just living proof that school is founded on tearing down teen spirit!”

“Bang on, Lindsay.” you flick through the booklet to see how many pages she had left. Three, which was a quarter of what you’d usually get,“But it’s just a few more years and you won’t have to ever worry about it again.”

“Who says I’m worrying now!” she giggles, taking the homework back,“Thanks, (Y/N)!”

A part of you wanted to do the entire thing for her, but you knew that wouldn’t be ethical for her record,“Let me know if you need help finishing it.” pointless since Lindsay never remembers to finish her homework.

“Ohh, that reminds me!” she declares, shoving the work back into her bag,“Someone called uh, Summers wanted to see me at lunch, but uh... I’m sorta having a rusty time knowing who she is and what she wanted to talk to me about.”

“Biology.”

“Huh?”

“Mrs Summers. Your biology teacher?” you frown,“Did you lose that profile sheet I made for you?”

“Ohhh right! And I didn’t lose it! I just can’t find it.” the blonde claims, standing up from her seat and replacing the space with her handbag,“Don’t let the food bugs bite! I’ll be back!”

So, it was just you and Tyler.

“You’re a genius, (Y/N)!” was the first thing he said in the one on one interaction.

“I really am not.” you laugh lightly, taking a first bite of your sandwich after tending to Lindsay.

“You sure are! Linds and I dread this kind of stuff, and here you are, looking like you do it for fun!” the jock exalts, sipping on the straw of his juice box,“About that smoothie thing, Lindsay forgot her name when ordering so she decided to name it after you, thinking your name as something she could always rely on.” he chuckles,“Know anything about that from psychology?”

Oh, loveable Lindsay,“There’s probably a link!”

“While we’re on the topic... We were thinking of going there after school today. Wanna come with?”

You beam,“Count me in.”

Lunchtime was over and in every four weeks, the hockey jocks got to showcase how they’ve been working against other schools- they’d make their way early to the changing rooms, while everyone else had to make their way into the school ice rink for the bleachers.

Lindsay grabbed onto your arm to not get lost in the crowd. While you weren’t a sports fan, you did enjoy cheering your friends on.

“Go Tyler!” Lindsay proudly takes first place in shouting out the name of her boyfriend.

gonna talk about my design choices for my cc animals because i haven't done it yet

pt 2

karl is a velveteen lop eared rabbit, i have two variations for him because i love to make karl designs based on his hoodie colors but i also wanted a natural color design too. his ears are also based on the webkinz cotton candy bunny because i think it fits his aesthetic a lot :] sometimes i regret making him a lop because the ears are a pain in the ass to draw but i think it fits him better and that's more important to me

george is a eurasian otter. im gonna be honest i just. didn't wanna draw a domestic cat. but i think it's a good animal for him and i like the shapes.

tina is a harvest mouse, which doesn't actually come in piebald but um. they aren't pink either so. small and cute that's basically what i was going for! "why not make her a cat or rabbit?" too obvious for me + im just going based on vibes instead of pre established theme.

dream is an african lion. i don't think i need to explain this one. he originally had a green nose but i didn't like the look of it very much so I switched back to normal colors but in general if i give a cc natural colors i try to make their nose their theme color just for fun.

sapnap is a pitbull/rottweiler mix. originally he was supposed to be just a pitbull but i realized as i was color that the pattern with those colors was. basically rottweiler so. i love both these dog breeds dearly and i think pitbull especially fits sapnap since they get a pretty bad rap despite being major sweethearts most of the time. his nose is blue just because i think it's cute, im aware blue nose pitbulls aren't a real thing

sylvee is a lynx, HEAVILY inspired by the like. black/pastel pink kind of egirl vibe fursonas that were pretty popular back in 2018/19. idk i just like pink sylvee a lot. also did a secondary design based on her 2020(?) look because i think it's super cute :3

hannah is a fennec fox, she's all ears so she can hear when you're talkin shit 🙏 not a whole lot to say about her design i just love drawing fennec foxes. if/when i draw her again her ears will look different, i drew this one on a pretty small canvas size and it didn't give me a lot of space for ears

puffy is a rough collie, i don't have a front headshot for her just because i wanted to try and practice her side profile. her design is probably my favorite out of all of them i really enjoyed working out how to incorporate a rainbow in her fur as a nod to her minecraft skin and i think it turned out really well.

ippiki au lore dump

if the name of the au does not make it very obvious, this au was inspired very heavily by the trained cards for kick it up a notch (i just chose to reference the comm, hitsuji ga ippiki, as the au name because it sounds cooler than calling it like. kickup au. so its ippiki au instead. when i first started working on this i just called it animal fighters au but thats long LOL)

its one of my favorite sets, im a big fan of dystopian and post-apocalyptic themes which the set hits perfectly and there was room to have fun with animal designs (i mean, seriously, they gave kohane sheep horns and named akitos costume "hound kid") and so i started thinking from the moment i laid eyes on the set when it leaked and i ended up with an au based around the idea of animal/human hybrids.

first of all for actual au stuff, character profiles! these were made a lot earlier on into working the au so ive made minor adjustments to their designs since then, but nothing drastic. mainly just little things ive changed when drawing them in more detail, like additional scars and such.

while making kohane a sheep and akito a dog (hes... not a specific kind of dog. hes a mix of a whole bunch of different larger domestic dog breeds combined with some wild canines. ) were obvious from the set, deciding on the animals for an and touya required a bit more thought. i ended up settling on a fox for an partially as a nod to her ny3 card and also because for a long time now ive thought theyre fitting for her anyway, and touya as a black leopard because... he's kitty. but i wanted to make him a big kitty not a domestic kitty. i do also like bunny touyas but for how i was feeling with this au i wanted him to be a cat.

theres the fun little detail that kohane is the only animal that isnt a predator in vbs.

but i should probably explain why theyre animal hybrids in this au.

im going to put the rest of the lore dump and more art below, this gets long.

basically, in the face of a coming apocalypse, there was an effort to attempt to hybridize humans with animals to see if they could create a form of human (or something seen as "human enough") that would be more resilient if the apocalypse threatened the survival of normal humanity. it was never completely successful and the hybrids were less stable/generally shorter lived (if physically stronger) but it ended up being unnecessary and enough of humanity survived to rebuild. but the experiments to create hybrids continued.

in the present day of the au, hybrids are created for... less pleasant tasks. the kinds of things people dont want to take on, and theyre physically stronger than the average human so theyre put to those jobs instead. or theyre created as showpieces/pets for the wealthy (most people outside of those circles find it strange to keep hybrids like that though. hybrids arent always seen as being truly human (although theyre fully capable of everything human and then some) but theyre still seen as human enough for it to be weird).

many of them though, are created as sacrifices for entertainment in battle arenas where theyll have to fight each other to the death. its a seemingly inevitable fate to die there once theyre sent, but escape has happened before. an is living proof of that, as both of her parents are escaped arena fighters who helped establish a small town of hybrids out in the wasteland beyond the city at the core of hybrid creation and sacrifice.

how an ended up as an arena fighter despite being born well outside the city... thats a long story.

touya is a showpiece fighter, created to fight but kept secure and safe outside of his registered fights. he might be healthier physically, much less worn down by fighting, but hes been very socially isolated and doesnt fit in with other hybrids very well.

an and touya fight in the same arena, and touyas fight days are the only times he interacts with other hybrids. hes given free reign around the hybrid compound (where most other hybrids are restricted under collars and chains) and he ends up meeting an there. although tense, they become sort of friends and he frees her and they escape together.

kohane and akito are just normal arena fighters, created solely for that purpose, although kohane was meant as an early sacrifice due to her skittish nature, but she survives. theyre in the same arena as each other, although its a harsher one than the one antouya are in, theyre unable to properly interact with anyone else at all and are just lucky enough to be neighbors to end up bonding.

i just grouped them based on which side of their face they have the barcodes on in the original cards lol in this au the arenas generally brand their fighters with a code for identifying them. touyas is actually not permanent like the others, but temporarily applied whenever he has a fight coming up (like a temporary tattoo lol)

kohane managing to survive despite the intention being that she dies is actually the driving force that starts the fic for this au (which fun fact, despite me never mentioning the title, does have a title! the fic will be called "fight, flight, freedom", unless i think of something that fits even better, but i already like the title as is so i probably wont change it)

its rough but i promise everyone gets a happy ending eventually :)

now for sitting through all that rambling heres some art

heres my very initial attempts at designs for them! no drastic changes even since this initial pass at designs tbh i was pretty content with them pretty quickly

some various doodles of them interacting, some during/around the time of the fic and others post-fic

what if they were... more animal? like furries instead of just the ears/tails? obviously noncanon but it was a fun little thing to draw

wip aged up designs! heavily inspired by the power of unity set because it also fits into the post apocalyptic type theme and i thought would work for them when theyre a little older. assume theyre about 20-21 here, while in the main canon of the au theyre about 16-17.

a silly little sketch i did last week of aged up akikoha in their burn my soul outfits... kohane cant really wear hats, horns are inconvenient for that. everyone elses ears would probably make hats difficult too, but you could probably make holes for their ears. you cant really make holes for the tops of her horns.

some little finished pieces i did for this au. can you tell akito is my favorite to draw for this?

now heres some other random au facts

an and haruka are childhood friends, haruka also being the child of ferals. haruka is a domestic cat hybrid (either a gray or black cat, i havent decided which yet). she is not in their hometown anymore either. where is she now...? ill leave you to wonder about that.

kohane and minori grew up in the same group of created hybrids together, theyre friends but were sent to different places so they dont know whats happened to each other since. minori is a goat btw (inspired by her halloween card)

a lot of ans scars are from injuries that snowballed after an incident in a fight that severely broke her tail and led to part of it being amputated. her balance was thrown off for a while after that so she was a little clumsier in fights than normal

akitos scars on the other hand are caused by the fact that hes a reckless fighter. a good fighter, but not much care for the damage he takes in the process. that and improper padding on his collars and muzzle, leaving those spots unable to fully heal from being rubbed against metal for months and when they finally do heal they scarred.

im still sorting things out for sure but tentatively for vbs npcs i have decided on fox ken and yuka (obviously, same as an), tiger taiga (i mean... how could i not go for the pun. and i think it suits him), maned wolf nagi (update march 2024 ive drawn nagi now so this is what has been made canon), raccoon kotaro, caracal arata, and dog souma (sorry to any tatsuya fans, i have not figured out how to include him in the au at all)

vbs all very clingy with each other once they get comfortable together. platonic polysquad ❤️

other characters outside of vbs exist in this au but theyre just not relevant enough to the story for me to include here 👍

the fic outline is like 2.4k words. the first chapter is a couple scenes away from being finished and its about 5k words. it will not be the longest chapter of the fic. this is going to be a long au.

Bloody Roar redesign concept breakdowns

People asked for these when I did my Darkstlakers project a while ago, so I figured I should do them again, but this time I came slightly more prepared with extra work! Let’s talk about them!

A main thing I wanted to do, whether subtly or bluntly, is to make more reference in their human designs to what they transform into. I also tried to stick with a theme of giving the characters eye colors that the animal they turned into might have for extra flare, inspired by Alice’s original design having red eyes (though they took this away from her later on and changed it to brown).

Alice (Rabbit)

Alice in the first game seemed mostly just designed to be a plucky young girl with purple hair and twin ponytails. Later games she became a nurse in the story, and was given an outfit to match. Then much later down the line she and a lot of the cast were toned down severely, making her a more normal young woman with a basic casual outfit. I wanted to try and use ALL this information to make a new design for her. The coat I gave her was meant to evoke the feeling of an emergency response worker, nothing specific, maybe for an fictional  in-universe organization. The sleeves of her coat have bunny stamps on them, and she wears a rabbit pendant as well.

Yugo (Wolf)

Mainly with Yugo I wanted to go back to his Biker looks of the  past, rather than his later “hip street clothes” look. And I wanted his close to be torn, ripped apart, and sewn back together, in some ways reminiscent of something you’d see in a werewolf move. I left some references to things you’d see on his older clothes via the design on his boots, and “Silver Noise” on the back of his vest. I also made little wolf claw accents on his boots.

Fox the Assassin

Fox, or “Hans” only showed up in the first game so I didn’t have a ton to go off of, but I definitely wanted to tackle the character and see what I could do. Japan and America got versions of the game where Fox was said to be a man, and Europe got a version where the character was said to be a woman along with a different voice actor to match. So, a lot of choices in the original were rolled up in some dated stereotypes and ideas and uncomfortableness. I took some inspiration for shapes and ideas from the original design, but my main goal was to make a streetwise assassin  who dresses themselves in a feminine way. I’m not here to re-write the character from scratch, but as a non-binary person myself, I tried to design the character in a way I found more palatable, while keeping Fox’s history intact. I tried making the flop of hair over Fox’s eye look like a fox tail, and the necklace has a stylized fox head

Shina/Marvel (Leopard)

I honestly didn’t want to stray too far from Shina’s original designs. She’s one of my favorites from t he original games and I think a few of her designs still hold up great today. I tried to simply modernize some of her look, and I liked the idea of giving her mechanic’s overalls tied at the waist to replace her old military pants. The eye on her top and “KMF” are pulled from designs seen on her older outfits.

Busuzima (Chameleon)

I started off just wanting to update the punk werido look busuzima usually has, but then I was reminded he’s also a scientist? So I gave him a messy paint covered lab coat and latex gloves as well. I think this ended up being a fun combination of the different aspects of the character. The main thing I wanted to do with the concept is just make sure I got the face right. It was pretty difficult to get down, and I’m not sure I actually achieved what I hoped for. Hopefully it’s good enough!

Hi op!! Would it be okay if I asked how you design the horn shapes for your fantrolls? It feels like you've nailed how to make them unique and fitting for the signs as well as unobtrusive to the face. If there isn't really a process to describe thats chill too!! Im just bein curious

hey and thanks so much!! coming up with horns that feel satisfying for me can take a bit, but i'm glad they suit my charas well :]

by sign, i look at notable silhouettes or line shapes to translate over:

i try to focus on one defining shape so it doesn't become too cumbersome to look at or draw. it doesn't need to include their full sign and you can adjust orientation to what's more aesthetically pleasing to you. ([1] pyrroh's horns used to be rounder but the angular curves were easier to draw and formed nicer / [2] rorzak's previously pointed straight up but tilted out later to look more catlike).

WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE OTHER OPTION I USE FOR HORNS: lusii. i usually choose a lusus early on either inspired by the character's vibe/sign or to help me consider design and story themes later.

ekophi is a decent example where his sign gave me the idea for his lusus and thus his concept. when in doubt, horns that look like stylized ears or horns themselves are always fun (like rorzak's previously mentioned; valtra's sign above also can resemble either a disguise OR a three mouth. their horns end up looking like lop bunny ears with their lusus being a hare).

in general, my personal rules are keep it fairly simple, play with shapes and silhouettes, and cheat. the best is when you can recognize them even in shorthand just by a few details and their horns.

Character Design Time:

"The Forbidden Parents"

For the majority of the main cast, one or both of the (biological) parents are either dead or simply "not in the picture." So I thought it'd be interesting to try drawing those characters. Just for fun! To start us off:

☆★Princess Peach (Jr's mom)★☆

Being the monarch of her own kingdom, Peach doesn't have much time to come visit her son. Nor does she really want to (Jr is the result of cheating and a one-night stand, so his existence is a bit shameful to her) In fact, the only time she really gets to see Jr is by force: Kidnapping. As much as Jr wishes there was, there really isn't much to say about this princess.

☆★☆Discord (Motley's dad)☆★☆

This perky young man abandoned his wife to-be completely out of the blue one night and currently runs a huge traveling circus. However, his whereabouts at any given moment are usually unknown. The only time he interacts with his family is once a year, on Motley's birthday, when he sends a birthday card and a gift from his circus. Despite him being completely absent in her life, Motley takes great interest in her father and his passion (Circuses). P.S. Nobody knows if "Discord" is this man's actual name or not-

★Venus (The Broodals' mom)★

Older sister of Vanessa (AKA Madame Broode), this young lady was very sweet and loving compared to mothers before her. So caring and full of affection constantly. The ideal parent! So it's unfortunate that only a year after the birth of her youngest child that she and her husband passed away in a tragic house fire, leading to her children eventually finding their way into the mediocre-in-comparison care of Aunt Vanessa. If Venus were still around today, things would be VERY different, to say the least... She was slightly smaller in size and way more cheerful and naïve than her sister, making her frequently confused as being the little sibling.

Here's the only non-canon/concept art character, AKA an OC—There was originally three others, but I didn't like the way they turned out, so this is the only one that's being shown.

For those curious, the dropped OCs are Harley (The Broodals' dad), Alphonse (The Koopalings' dad), and Clawdia (The Koopalings' mom).

★☆★Bonnie (Nabbit's mom)★☆★

Bonnie has always played an important role in Nabbit's life and been there for her just as much as Popple has. She's a criminal with great street smarts and physical abilities. Unfortunately, her abilities failed her one night, and now she is in jail, counting down the days until she can go see her family again. She's been through some messed up stuff, but still, getting separated from her baby is the worst thing that could possibly happen to her. And when she gets free, this bunny will be wreaking some havoc—That's for sure!!!
