Beauty queen of only eighteen she had some trouble with herself he was always there to help her she always belonged to someone else

You just wanted away from everything around you from your ex boyfriend not leaving you alone, your family constantly putting you down every day,and to getting fired from your job and losing hours for your other job you just didn't care anymore about what happened to you until you met two of the most unlikely people who would become all the family you needed.

I drove for miles and miles and wound up at your door I've had you so many times but somehow I want more

You met Robert and Celine when you were being followed and harassed by your ex boyfriend and his friends walking home from work telling them to leave you alone and even pushing your ex Ricky away from you making him mad, grabbing and choking you until robert came crashing into and punching him while celine threatened the others who tried to grab you with a gun helping you up and the three of you running away until you were at an abandoned apartment complex officially meeting each other and thanking them not knowing where this would lead for your future.

I don't mind spending every day out on your corner in the pouring rain look for the girl with the broken smile ask her if she wants to stay awhile and she will be loved

After seeing them for a week they asked if you wanted to come with them aimlessly traveling around from state to state running from their lives falling apart and starting over smiling as you think and agree packing all your important belongings and leaving everything else behind and going with them leaving your hometown of Spanish Fork, Utah and heading around the US with them immediately loving your new life with the duo than you ever loved your old life.

After 3 months of state hopping the three of you get ransom money and end up finding an apartment in Chesterfield Missouri soon realizing the last little bit of your trip that you were in love with robert not knowing what to do thinking that he was in love with celine deciding not to tell either of them but that changed one night after a series of events in the apartment you three shared.

The three of you shared a blunt and celine got a cup of rum drinking it as you laughed at robert finishing off the blunt feeling calm and relaxed but also warmth,comfort, and pure bliss in his company not knowing whether it was because of the weed or because how sweet he was being from handing you a drink when you started coughing from the blunt and putting a blanket over you when he noticed your feet tapping which happened when you were anxious to sitting by you on the couch watching tv and the two of you sharing takeout that celine brought back 15 minutes earlier both of you laughing when you watched celine walk off almost falling from how drunk she was going to her room to sleep.

The two of you eat and talk while watching a random episode of Dharma and Greg which you had loved and introduced him to on your trip while staying in Iowa before going to California for the last bit of ransom money to truly start over together promising that no matter what happened the three of you wouldn't leave each other behind or alone "What's making you smile over there?" you look over at him after zoning back shaking your head "Just thinking of when we made our promise that it's us three from this point on" he smiles remembering the day in Wyoming after leaving Utah and staying a few days in Colorado as the two helped you get used to being on the road you slowly moved closer as he zones back confused making you laugh "I'm not leaving just moving closer you're a natural heater after all" shaking his head remembering how you always would steal his spot in a bed if he was up always taking the other side letting you sleep knowing how cold you'd get even when it was warm at night.

You both leaned forward in a tender and hesitant but tentative kiss your hands tangling in his hair while his left hand was under your chin and his right one was on the side of your face leading to the two of you getting together and a month later getting a house together not too far from the apartment complex still seeing and hanging out with celine and her new boyfriend Tommy still keeping the promise the three of you made always being there for the other being a family and you didn't regret leaving your old life behind at all.

RIP Brian Tufano (1939-2023) - Veteran cinematographer best known for his collaboration with Danny Boyle in films such as Shallow Grave (1994), Trainspotting (1996) and A Life Less Ordinary (1997) has passed away on the 14th - news just in. Another celebrated works of his are Franc Roddam's Quadrophenia (1979) and Stephen Daldry's acclaimed Billy Elliot (2000), for which he was nominated for a Bafta. He was also part of cinematographer Jordan Cronenweth's crew in Blade Runner (1982), providing additional photography.
