i cant believe ive seen no one rotate the 'peter was There' concept fully. enough coworkers to lovers we need to put these bitches in a situationship NOW !!

peter seems to constantly be at odds with himself in how he treats miguel, on one hand he tries very hard to be friendly and caring towards him, but on the other miguel keeps doing things that he believes are wrong. unfortunately, miguel keeps making very good points (for the greater good and all that) and we see him struggle to come up with refutes, like in the scene where miguel cages miles.

theres only a few scraps of it, but it really seems like they used to be Close. stuff like peter being (seemingly) the only person nearby when his world was evaporating, a task that he would want to call in spiders he trusted to help with. or peter knowing nueva york & miguel well enough to go downtown as soon as theyre out of spider society hq, and wait in the uptown infastructure for a chance to nab miles. or miguel asking someone to catch spot and peter immediately assumes its a task hes expected to take on--miguel has to explicitly shoot him down.

my brain thinking about the ramifications and effects the body modifications have on miguel after he gets his spider powers.

like he has to get used to the new huge ass fangs in his mouth, so at first he's constantly biting the insides of his cheeks, lips and tongues. the inside of his mouth looked like a WARZONE after they first grew in. and the venom leaking out of his fangs while he's drinking lazily and it tasting like the worst shit ever and he just tiredly pours the cup out.

or how many sets of sheets, blankets, clothes, shoes and socks he goes through because of his finger and toe talons when he's first learning how to keep his talons down. he had to order so many new replacements cause his talons just ripped everything to shreds. wakes up in the morning to his blankets and sheets in strings and he tiredly says to lyla, "order a new bed set again." and she happily asks, "should we make this a reoccurring thing for everyday day :)?"

getting used to his light sensitive eyes just have been a horrible experience for him. he's always squinting and covering his eyes when he's outside in the sunlight without his sunglasses. when he has his specially designed glasses, he wears them everywhere (this is canon), even inside. but when he loses his glasses he wants to cry because how the shock is he supposed to deal with today?? he keeps the lights off at his house most of the time because, hey, he can just see perfectly in the dark anyways, so what's the problem? he hates fireworks because they're too sudden and bright and oh shock they just blinded him.

the spinnerets in his forearms bruising his arms and making them itch incessantly when they produce too much webbing and he doesn't use enough of it. he'll find an empty alleyway and just go nuts webbing everything up to get them to stop itching and aching because how can he go through his day with them brushing and swelling up? god. i can imagine at points his bedroom is just a huge mess of webs because he was too lazy to leave one day and sprayed his webbing across his wall, floor and ceiling. he hates to clean them up but he never learns.

and don't even get me started on the rest of his enhanced senses. i bet he nearly jumps out of his skin everytime someone drops a pin in an otherwise silent room or wants to cry whenever somebody sprays a perfume that wouldn't normally even be considered a strong smell. he can see colors regular people can't even imagine and hear things that otherwise wouldn't be heard.

I have soooo many thoughts about Noir's spider sense and also his patron (yes I will continue to call the spider god that because they basically are)

If he trains his spider sense more, he'll eventually gain like a built in radar, and can fight without the use of his eyes just by focusing on the world around him his sense builds.

I tend to write him in colour but desaturated, to the point that colours don't actually have names in his world they're just *example* tinted, like red would be blood tinted usually. The symbol that appears in front of his face during the spider sense is the only true colour in that it is bright and vibrant and cannot be recreated in his world.

The lines of the symbol soften and round when it's a "oh yeah you're like me" tingle, but get more jagged lines when it's danger.

His patron sometimes speaks to him, and when it does, the spider sense activates

Those who have spider senses can also see the symbol. Miguel cannot, poor thing can't even get a second hand warning 😔

It can kind of act as a compass. He can look in a certain direction and depending on how much his head hurts he can figure out where's currently safe and where isn't

He doesn't always listen to it unfortunately. He's too stubborn for his own good. He also has a bad habit of getting information from his sense that the others may lack but not tell them and just go about his own thing. That kid lacks communication skills and really needs to learn but sadly no one else in spider society had social skills, at least before he got kicked out for gay crimes (covered the cafeteria in silly string)
