i did like 5 different lists cause not all them where complete enough to my tastes and then i found this MASSIVE tier list (with a lot of crack xdd) so i was able to do it, fortunally the nrmy week gave me some time to work on this and EVEN THEN some kinda obvious ones were missing so i had to edit them in from the other tierlists, plus stuff i made up lol

also, for it not be too long and mark very clearly my Heterosexual Bias, the list was divided in two, so let's start: (spoilers for investigations cause shih-na doest appear as shih-na)

The OTP category is very self-explanitory, so the second place is all other ships that i like and ship too just not as hard since i have OTPs for the characters already~~

Ohters I like and Im listening have varying degrees of crack but im still considering as potential ships to like seriously

the canon ships acting as a neutral divider, they are canon, you can't complain about that (or you can im just a tumblr post you can do what you want forever). if they arent higher is cause they are not as interesting or funny as the above ships, i still love them very much

then theres the absolute crack that i find amusing but couldnt take to ship it seriously and then ships that are either boring: too tame, lack spice, feel like avoiding being problematic was the priority instead of they'd be cute togheter; or ships that feel a bit too cruel for comfort and i percieve as no longer fun, but sad

this tier list didnt have ema/nahyuta but did have poly ships that included the three so there we go, the only het ships i dont like (2)

finally, the only gay ships i consider to be neat, silly funny friends-to-lovers not overly popular, very cool and epic

And now, the interesting one:

for real tho, there's friends to lovers OR rarepairs OR lawyer x assistant ships, being my go-to in het ships they'd rank higher here

Evil People In Love! What else can I say? When 2 people are down bad for each other and down for destroying everyone and everything whether for revenge or the lulz cause they're bad and they're doing it togheter it's just beautiful~!

and finally we reach my real (yet still neutral) beef with the ace attorney shipping fandom, being the popular ships that get talked about ad nauseum and if you wanna talk about any other ship you get ignored at best or harrassed at worst. Overrated could be the perfect way to describe this ships as they're so oftenly rated over other ships when they're SO LAME AND BLAND AND BRING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. i am not criticizing originality, you know im unoriginal as well, but other fandoms have this something called ✨VARIETY✨ that EVEN IF the boring bland m/m ship still is number one ship of everyone and their grandmas, it'll still be in a relative equal number of fans and content (or directly opposite where Super Popular Ship has like 100 fans producing stuff and literally anything else has like <5, so you only have to block 1 or maybe 2 Super Popular Ships and then is smooth sailing full of variety~)

tl;dr they're annOyedTPs actually they're not bad, they are meh plus the over exposure can really grind someone's gears, second place being not AS popular thus annoying but still pretty much talked about and liked by many people as they are second places to ships in the normie zone

and finally finally what i actually dislike, shipping canonically het married characters with same-sex characters (and not in the funny way)(specially the gay best friend in love with their straight friend, my absolute belothed) or any flavor of enemies-to-lovers, whether it's a tame rivals-to-lovers or a legit hero x villian (stockholm syndrome can be fine but it depends on how its presented....or if it's... y'know funny) or same-age shipping where the characters maturity levels are SO DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT idk it feels kinda icky :////

Yea!! although sometimes it takes a bit to kick my brain into gear to mass respond. Typically needs the right frame of mind, but then i can chug through replying to quite a few!

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

either Take my heart for it was already yours or Your soul's drowned into silence, No one will rouse you, both genshin with MCD ahaha oops

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Fever, soup, and tiny baby chirps maybe??? i've quite a few with happy endings but this one was pretty cute

Probably! but people have been nice in the comments section and i love all my readers dearly :D

ahaha yes >u> um. uh. in my defense generally its inspired by art (taro's art specifically) or for event weeks so imgoingtoduckoutofthisquestionnowplsandthanks

Yea! The one thats most out of nowhere is Rebirth, Revision, and Revolution, an atla x genshin fic where post apocalypse in genshin verse due to celestia, ning, beidou, yelan and keqing have been reincarnated into the elemental nations! i... really need to finish it lol, there's 3 chapters of *hopefully* 4 up, but the Book of Fire is not cooperating

not exactly? i know there are counterfeit fic sites and at least one of my fics are there, but idk if that counts

not entirely certain! i think im usually decent at balancing humor in the right situations and worldbuilding?

actually getting the brain to settle down to write ok while true, setting that aside, probably not knowing what to cut (i tend to want to put all the details i can think of in the fic, which isn't really conducive for a variety of reasons)

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

depends on if i'm actually familiar with that other language or not, and how easy it is for the reader to get at translations (hover text or subscripts, depending), i myself probably won't be capable of doing so.

I kinda noticed something: most of your ships involve a mortal and an immortal/ones who age slower. Kayn and Zoe, Yasuo and Ahri, Yone(? Dunno about him, he's mortal but also not at the same time) and Lilia. One of them will outlive the other and will see their loved one pass on, how would they react? (Sorry for this existential crisis question, I was tag browsing in Danbooru)

Good catch! I myself realized this not too long ago! But yeah, in League all of my ships are having this wacky side of one side being immortal/spiritual/magical while the other is an ordinary mortal ahaha I think the worst will be with Yone and Lillia, once Yone will kill all Azakanas and fulfill his goal he will come to a rest and Lillia will be left all alone while mouring about her close friend never ever returning to her, but at the same time being glad that he made the choice for his own good.

The second worst I think is Kayn and Zoe. Well, it is simple. because of Rhaast fully possessing him while Zoe did nothing to stop it because of how oblivious she is. I have many ideas about it but who knows maybe in two years im gonna finally show this to the internet lol! (I can talk about it for hours)

It's interesting to see whenever you get into new fixations, it introduces me to lesser animes or BLs or new ships that otherwise I would never think of and more often than not I got hooked to them thanks to you 😁 I'm very shy and awkward so mostly in fandoms I'm in im just a silent enjoyer and follower. I'm so happy when you started posting and reblogging jjk because it's a fandom I've been silently lurking for years and moreover because you like stsg and also chousou because they are one of my favorites too. Also wow I'm amazed you've put up with my everchanging fixations that long lol I know I'm annoying that whenever I'm into new fixation then I wudn't shut up abt it for a while and too lazy to ever make sideblogs. Anw, I don't really remember when I said that ahaha I'd most likely just joked or be sarcastic when I wrote that. I did feel so much pain knowing my otp is a doomed ship but it's nothing I didn't know before I even started jjk. Moreover it ended in a good note for me what with the latest chapters of them so it's all good now. The abundant loveable characters of jjk making it easy to explore other dynamics and ships too. Even dynamics I'd usually nvr entertain so it's been an eye opener experience! I don't regret a thing. Glad to know we share similar tastes :)

but yea I'm really not good with big fandoms overall and am usually content with the tiny corner of my own. My last experience with big fandoms, before I switched completely to obscure fandoms, were too unpleasant that I didn't wish to ever repeat it. But I'm more adept with curating what I wanna see now so I won't get put-off or get bored quickly. Tiny fandoms are nice and comfy but they were oftentimes unsustainable for me due to the lack of interactions. Still, I'm so happy to hear my shitposts could actually introduce you to new fixations!

Abt how I get into jjk. Well, unlike any other animes mangas I'm into, I actually have irl friends and coworkers that are fans of jjk. 3 of them are close to me (one of them is my spouse lol) and had literally pestered me to try it for long so they'd have someone to talk with. So I'd known about it since around 2 years ago when the movie came out. I was curious bcs it was such a hype around me even though they were all adults who usually didn't even watch anime so there must be sth different abt it. Yet I kept putting it off cz I was just not into supernatural fantasy shounen. I decided this year would be a good time to start since with season 2 the hype around me was too high that I just got swept in it, naturally. I cudn't tamp down my curiosity any longer plus I got time now during this break so why not, right? The thing is my irl friends arent into simping let alone shipping (at least not that I know in public, who knows what they might be doing in private) so I keep that side here ofc!

Awwwh thank you so much for letting me know you like my fic! Ch 236 was indeed devastating for a while tho it was still a HE in some aspects (for me). It's an outlet for me to pour my HCs for the characters that stuck with me. I hope you know that even if it's just excited emojis, a comment in the fic worths a lot for authors cz it let them know not just abt whether their fics are being read and liked, but how their works actually affect the readers, it's a potent drive for authors and feedbacks are helping authors so you don't need to be shy 😉

2. What’s your total word count?

321,819, which is somehow both lower and higher than i expected.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

a whole lot; most recently Rise of the TMNT, my fandom on ao3 with the most works is Rise of the Guardians. lots of rises.

4. Top 5 fics by kudos

The Gravity Falls trans dipper one-shot, the FMA Ishvalan!Elrics AU, an into the spiderverse fic, raven cycle pov outsider, and a star wars force awakens one-shot. i give all my fics long song lyric titles so that's all the info yall are getting lmao.

5. Do you respond to comments?

I always start out trying to respond to everything when i post a new fic, but then i get overwhelmed pretty quick. lo siento mucho.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't usually go for angsty endings tbh! I like a lot of angst in the middle, or i go for kind of bittersweet endings.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

probably that star wars one; force awakens had just come out and i was one of many kylo ren woobifiers who wanted him to have accepted han's invite to come home.

The most hate i've gotten is on a Different star wars fic where i made Luke trans and some people were Not happy. luckily, i have a permit (i can do what I want).

yeah lol. i don't post a lot of it though; most of the time i just share it with my discord friends.

nnnnot a finished one. my friends and i do a lot of half fic writing and half rp that usually doesn't turn into a polished product (but it's still fun <3).

ALL TIME FAVORITE FLYNN AND LUCY TIMELESS. i've never written fic for them and the show isn't even GOOD but god the way they look like "she fixed him" bs on the surface but really they're each so perfect to make up for the other's shortcomings. also i always wanted so badly for someone to tell her to get her dog on a leash <3

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

ahaha,,,, the good omens roleswap fic is burning a hole in my document folder. i have an outline i just have no inspiration/motivation :(

16. What are your writing strengths?

characterization; particularly I've gotten the feedback that i'm good at writing characters in different circumstances from canon while keeping their personalities both Intact and Logically Justifiable.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

ending things, both in the sense that i start a lot of stuff and don't finish it, and the sense that i usually have too many ideas and don't know how/where to cut off a plot.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

google translate always does me dirty so now i usually just write the dialogue in english and use a dialogue tag like "she said in *insert language*"

19. First fandom you wrote for?

iiiiii think it was Rise of the Guardians! before that i mostly did over-dramatic RP on the cricket magazine forums where i had characters like a half-dragon bounty hunter.

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

probably the ishvalan elrics fic! fma is already full of a lot of meaty concepts, and it was fun re-conceptualizing the canon plot and character beats while keeping the arching plot intact. stuff like that is like a puzzle to me, it's very satisfying when i finish one and it gets positive feedback!

4. do you respond to comments? why or why not? yes! because i’ve gotten like a total of three so far so like i’m desperate to talk to people who comment, it’s such a rare occurrence for me to get a comment lol

5. what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? i don’t even think i’ve written any fics that ended with angst, i’m currently writing a series named Saudade’s Affair (Red Dead Redemption 2) with angst but it’s not done and it only has some angst in like one chapter lol and i don’t plan to finish it with angst, i don’t really like angst tbh, im too emotionally unstable to do angst ahahaha

14. what’s a wip that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will? low key all of the ones i have rn lmfao that comes to a total of 15, my writers block eased a smidge for one thing of hcs but the thought of writing an proper fic again is exhausting and it sucks cuz i really wanna write them so so bad. i need a new brain with a higher power meter TT one i know for sure has a very slim chance of ever getting written is a joel miller x reader cnc fic i’ve had in my drafts for like half a year now that i haven’t touched in months.

15. what are your writing strengths? i think detailed explanations of small things lol, i like the details when it comes to writing so it’s really what i focus on ^^

16. what are your writing weaknesses? just about everything else lmfao i’m not a good writer and my grammar is for shit, never got good grades in english classes and always got shit marks for creative story writing no matter how much i loved doing it. i was always told my stories lack plot and just general sense, so i never write in depth stories anymore lol probably why i stick to short porn without plot oneshots ;p i’m also extremely hard on myself lol always have been, so i’ve never really seen anything good in my writing unless someone bluntly tells me so, without that selfish need for approval i feel like i’m ass lmfao which is something i really gotta break out of

17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fics? only if i know the language, i’m trilingual but i only know how to write/read 2/3 of them so probably only english and french, mandarine if i had good help but that’s it. i don’t want to look dumb or disrespect the language i would be writing from google translate lmfao it’s never good that way.

18. what was the first fandom you wrote for? i dont quite remember but i think it was supernatural for when i first started in my early teens and clone wars/star wats after my five year hiatus lol

19. what’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet, but want to? oh god i mean i kind of have that list on my character request list lol but umm top ones would probably be some star wars/clone wars/bad batch characters i haven’t written for, i need to write for my man hosea matthews from red dead redemption, sam drake from uncharted cuz he’s like one of my favourite characters ever lol, overwatch tbh, more game of thrones characters, phineas wells and anton crane from outer worlds

20. what’s your favoruite fic you’ve written? probably a tie between Saudade’s Affair (even if it’s not done and i haven’t updated it in forever because of this fucking writers block TT), and Nice Necklace. Saudade’s Affair probably comes on top even if like 5 people read it lol it’s my first ever series that i’ve actually carried through with and planned and didn’t delete after like two chapters cuz i gave up ahahaha that story has a special place in my heart and so does josiah trelawny, thinking of him and that story bring me so much comfort and happiness and i can’t wait to keep writing it when my god damn brain lets me. Nice Necklace was my first ever max fic and i’d been wanting to make my own max fic for like 2.5 years since i’ve played tow and that fic got me back into writing and was also oh so purely self indulgent lol.

I'm happy enough with all of them!! I take the easy way out most of the time with titling fics and don't tend to spend too much time thinking about them because i get impatient

2. How many are…not great?

hmmmm like i said they're all kind of just normal, i don't think theyre spectacular but i don't think any of them are bad per se. i guess my least favorite is Shielded Heart cause its CORNY.

3. How many did you scramble for at the last minute?

Every single one. I don't name a fic until i'm done with it (or in Jareor's case until i'm done with the first chapter). and then i have to just have to stare at a wall and figure out what to title it. until i'm done with them theyre either called 'prompt (blank)', 'ship (blank), or 'untitled document 7'.

4. How many did you know before you started writing/creating, or near the beginning?

None ahaha

5. How many are quotes from songs or poems?

I almost never use song lyrics in my titles simply because my brain doesnt remember song lyrics until the song is playing. i also tend to listen to instrumental music/ soundtracks. i do NOT read poems cause they dont vibe with my adhd.

6. How many are other quotes?

well, half of these fics are mando'a words, so that technically counts. Haryc B'aalyc means 'tired and emotional (ie drunk and sad lol), and Jareor means 'to recklessly risk your life, act suicidally'

7. Which best reflects the plot of the story/content of the fanwork?

Well Haryc B'aalyc quite literally describes exactly what is happening in the fic. Fox is drunk and sad. Easy peasy.

8. Which best reflects the theme of the story?

(brain short circuits when trying to remember what a "theme" is) Probably Desaturated or Jareor. Desaturated has a bit of a double meaning, it's about mourning and loss, but also has context within the story. but i'll leave that off since i havent posted it yet ;)

9. Which best reflects the character voice of the story/pov of the fanwork?

Jareor is the mando'a word that i decided to base my characterization of Fox around. He's suicidally reckless, and will risk his life and put himself in dangerous situations to save his brothers.

10. Which is your favourite title?

Jareor is my favorite. I like mando'a a lot and it has the most meaning to me and really spurred on a lot of the actual ideas in the fic.

In Between - post-ch25, just a small Sugimoto character piece where he gets to have a quiet happy moment ;3; some strong found family themes? yessss!!

Healing Hands following ch100 (adding onto the Deer Scene); some sweet Asirpa & Sugimoto friendship hurt/comfort!

Trust - excellent sugishira fluff! NAP PILES, my weakness!! (set shortly after the Asahikawa Shiraishi rescue, maybe around 102?) anyway i love Shiraishi & i love his slow-burn relationship growth w/ Sugimoto & this is Good.

Sleepless more light sugishira fluff, also ft. some Shiraishi backstory speculation! (probably set somewhere between 63-80 if i had to guess? could be as early as 49 tho; it's pretty ambiguous)

Ice Nabe - this one's Ogata-pov (so i was initially a bit leery) but it's a fascinating character study & very well-written! technically a pre-188 canon-divergence AU (with some big spoils if you're not caught up on the manga) tho the characterisation still fits well w/ canon (like specific circumstances aside, i could see his character going this direction post-188).

i've also got a few more in my ‘read later’ list (all focused on side characters; my primary interest is the main trio so i haven't got around to reading other characters/dynamics yet, but there's a few that sound promising) & i'll update this list as i find more good stuff! buuut yeah i really wish i had more to offer; the tag is a tragic hellscape ruled by the ogata apologists :C how long until i start writing stuff myself? we'll seeeeee but it's bound to happen eventually ahaha
