Okay bestie, I have QUESTIONS.

For the Self Aware AU, mainly: what is the goal for the Oz's in this AU 👀 (like how in canon they are supposed to unite humanity and all that)

They still keep their original goal of trying to unite humanity. But it’s more what happens afterwards that’s the cronchy part

So basically, after Salem is defeated and whatnot (and this is also an au where the merge doesn’t exist because I’m ✨bitter✨), they begin starting to try and find out why they’re so self aware and why they’re seeing things that other people aren’t seeing (which is another thing happening. For example, they see silhouettes of people watching them but for a while don’t process that these are actual beings and not hallucinations or something)

So it’s basically a slow process of: anyone with magic in the series is self aware, hence why I mentioned Qrow and Ruby, since they both technically have magic too.

I haven’t put too much thought into it but it’s cronchy and we’re moving on-

Your attraction may not be romantic or platonic but a different, undefined 3rd thing.

How and/or when did Oz and Qrow realize they had feeling for one another?

Shhh it’s 3:00 am and I can’t sleep

Generally Oz always was interested in Qrow since they met but the romancey feelies part of it started after Qrow confronted him and was able to convince him to change the rules.

Since Qrow was known to have the most demerits, it meant that Oz was expected to keep an eye on him to make sure he wasn’t causing trouble, yeah sure we’re gonna go with that as if this man didn’t use this opportunity to swoon over Qrow a little lmao

Qrow realizes much later, and when he does he becomes conflicted. He recognizes his feelings after he’s sent into a very bad spiral of memories he was not expecting. All of his previous memories come flooding back all at once and it takes him a few weeks to recover mentally and emotionally from it.

The reason he’s conflicted is because he used to be with Clover, and Clover is there. But those two work out what exactly happened the time they both died and agree that it’s probably better to leave it in the past and to do their own things. They’re still friends, but neither are romantically interested in each other anymore (neither one is mad at the other, it’s just sorta weird for a while).

Once that settles itself is when Qrow goes out of his way to start dropping hints and just generally hanging out with Oz (ironically it’s not Qrow who causes trouble in order to be around Oz, it’s actually the other way around because Oz is a mischief maker in this au looool)
