The first time he noticed how strong you were was when he dropped his phone underneath the couch. He had tried sticking his arm underneath to grab it, but it was too far back for him to reach. Then he tried to lift the couch up, which was a mistake on his end because it felt like he was trying to pick up a giant bar of gold it was so heavy.

Luckily, you had walked into the living room as he was struggling. You're bowl of fruit in hand, you just kinda leaned on the doorway for a second to watch him struggle, a laugh bubbling in your throat.

You decided to be nice, though, and set your bowl on the coffee table to help him.

"What's up? Why are you trying to lift our couch?" You asked.

He groaned in response, "I dropped my phone and it went too far back for me to reach."

You nodded your head in understanding and booted him out of the way so you could try lifting the couch yourself. You picked up the end of the couch with ease, confused at how Seonghwa couldn't lift something so light.

Hwa stared at you in shock, nearly forgetting all about his phone, but quickly grabbed it off the floor before going back to gawking at you setting the couch back down.

"Ya, how could you not lift that, that's not even weight worthy!"

Hwa watched as you grabbed your bowl of fruit and left into the kitchen.

"Man, I need to start working out.." he breathed out, wide eyed at what he had just witnessed.

Hongjoong

Omg he would absolutely love having a strong (Gf/Bf)!! Like, imagine how cute it would be to just randomly pick him up and take him to where he wants to go around the house. You just flip him over like a sack of potatoes over your shoulder and just bring him to the kitchen, setting his ass down on the counter.

Especially if he gets injured. If he can't make his way around the house, you're gonna be his personal uber driver. Also, I can't get this image out of my head; Hongjoong is at his studio, passed out because he's been over working himself again, and you come to pick him up because he hasn't been answering your texts.

You walk in and find him fast asleep at his desk chair, poor thing looks like he hasn't slept in weeks. So you take pity on him, and, very carefully, you pick him up bridal style, and he's passed out so he doesn't feel a thing. You bring him outside and buckle him up in your car, and off you take him, back home.

As you arrive, you notice that he's still knocked out, light snores coming from his slightly open mouth. You unbuckle him and pick him back up as carefully as you can, and somehow you unlock your door with him in your arms. Not even taking your shoes off, you immediately take him to your shared bedroom.

You set him down gently on the bed and cover him with the warm, freshly washed, blankets. Finally taking your shoes off, you crawl under the blankets and drift off to sleep, staring lovingly at your hardworking boyfriend.

(Hongjoong is my bias, so I was smiling so hard while writing this, so adorable!!)

Yunho

Not even gonna lie, he gets chills every time you do something even remotely to do with strength. Yunho is a tall, big dude, but he's also soft like a puppy, so he is actually a little scared of you, because he knows that if he ever does something you don't like, you could snap him easier than Jongho snaps fruit in half.

He knows you never would, because he makes sure to be the best boyfriend as he possibly can, but there is always a possibility he could fuck something up and you could get angry at him, after all, no one is completely perfect. But that would never actually happen cause, even if he did do something wrong, you just can't be mad at him.

WAIT.. I just had a thought. Ya'll are that really intimidating couple, cause Yunho is super tall and you're super strong, so whenever people first meet you guys, they're probably scared shitless, but then ya'll turn out to be huge sweethearts and any previous intimidation is GONE.

There was a day where you picked Yunho up to REALLY show off your strength, because the Ateez members didn't believe Yunho when he told them that you could probably bench press all of them and more (obviously exaggerating, but he wouldn't be surprised if you could.)

Like you straight up lifted him up off his ass to show the boys that Yunho wasn't just talking nonsense. You just picked him up bridal style and started doing squats with him in your arms as if it was nothing.

Yunho is a giant puppy with his strong (Gf/Bf) who will mess anyone up if they even try to hurt him, and that's that.

Yeosang

Not gonna lie, after he finds out about your amazing strength, he talks about it to his members ALL THE TIME. He is constantly bragging and even teasing Jongho about how he was nothing compared to you when it came to strength.

Everytime the Ateez members have had enough of Yeosang bragging about you, they complain to you about it, to which you ask Yeosang about how often he talks about you. This bitch responds by getting offended and saying he doesn't talk about you THAT often.

When the others hear Yeosang's response, you can bet that an argument is going to occur, and the 7 boys will most definitely win, because they have experienced his bragging for weeks now.

Yeosang doesn't let up no matter what though, so, at some point you just got tired of hearing them argue and slung Yeosang over your shoulder as if he was a sack of potatoes.

"Hey! I was winning that fight, I need to finish it once and for all to prove I definitely don't talk about you all the time!" He exclaimed, still heated from the argument.

"Honey, we all know you were gonna lose, just admit it, you love me too much to ever stop thinking about me," you teased.

Yeosang let out a huff before finally giving up his fight, knowing full well that you were right.

San

I feel like he would really love to get picked up by you, not gonna lie. Like, one day San was having a hard time falling asleep, so he was just on he couch watching TV while you were asleep, well.. he thought you were asleep, but you could feel his absence from the bed and it was really bothering you.

You started to get frustrated after an hour of waiting in bed for him to come and sleep, but he didn't. So, you flipped the covers off of you, a bit annoyed at the fact that you couldn't sleep without his presence. You march into the living room to see him watching a show.

You stood in front of him, snatched the remote from his hands and turned the TV off, much to San's displeasure, a groan left his mouth in annoyance. To which you just rolled your eyes, pulled him up from the couch and opened your arms as a sign for him to Koala hug you so you could carry him to bed.

He made no fuss and immediately did as you suggested by that gesture.

With your arms under his butt, holding him to your body while walking back to your shared room, you rolled your eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, ya big baby, I know this is the only way you'll come to bed. How did we even start this routine in the first place?" ypu asked, genuinely curious.

"I have no idea, but I'm not complaining!" San replied.

Mingi

Mingi seems like the type of person who would blush uncontrollably at your show of strength. Like, if you have the muscles and you wear a tank top or something really revealing, he's gonna be lookin' at you like you're a fuckin' diamond.

I think he would really like a strong (Gf/Bf). The day he finds out about your strength is the day he swears he is in heaven, because you lifting something heavy is so hot to him.

Him and you were just chillin' in your living room, cuddling and watching TV, when you heard a knock at your door. You knew you were getting a mattress delivered to your house that day, so it wasn't a surprise when you opened the door to find a big fuckin' box on your doorstep.

"That's a pretty big package, let me help you bring it in," Mingi offered, walking to the other side of the box to help you pick it up.

"Nah, I'm good, I get stuff like this all the time, it's no problem," you answered right before you picked up the giant box with two arms and brought it inside.

Mingi stood in the doorway in shock that you could pick up something as heavy as that without anyone's help.

He snapped out of his thoughts when they started to get a bit dirty; like, damn, what else could you do with that strength of yours?

Wooyoung

Oh God, this absolute Prince is gonna make you carry him round he house all he time. Like, if you don't physically lift him off of the bed in the morning, he will refuse to leave your room, which gives you two choices, pick him he fuck up and bring him into he kitchen with you, or he's getting breakfast in bed.

He isn't afraid to tease you and your strength either. He knows full well that you could beat him up if he ever goes too far, but he also knows your limits, so that won't ever happen. He'll tease you when you're angry and say some shit like,

"Aww, Jagiya, you can throw that person out the window if they're bothering you that much~~"

Like, what the hell, Woo, no you're not gonna throw them out the window, though the idea doesn't sound too bad at the moment.

Not even gonna lie, he actually TRIES to make you mad sometimes because he finds it really hot and he's hoping that you'll take advantage of your strength one day and make use of it on him in the bedroom.

Yeah he get's horny at the most simplest show of strength when it comes to you. He would literally do anything to make you throw him around and be rough in bed.

Jongho

Baby boy is so confused and happy at the same time. Like, what do you mean you're stronger than him and can lift him like he weighs nothing, but also, he now has a fruit breaking buddy!

I can just imagine the amount of fruit the boys buy you to make you and Jongho have a battle of who can break the most fruits in the least amount of time. Jongho would always roll his eyes at them for making you guys compete over something so stupid, but when the competition starts, he gets so fucking competitive for some reason, like, chill out, you ain't winning no fuckin' award, unless you count the broken fruit as an award.

You win every competition, though, and, not even gonna lie, Jongho gets so pouty because of it. All the boys surround you and praise you for beating Jongho in the Ateez Fruit Smash Competition, meanwhile he's over here with the biggest puppy pout on his face because he lost.

You always have to give him reassurance that, even though you are stronger than him, he will always be your strong boyfriend and that ya'll can be strong together.

Also, tons of videos of you guys breaking fruit together on instagram. The best video is one where you were bothing holding the same apple, a hand on each side, and as you both dig your fingers into the core, you break it together.

Basically, you're relationship is a lot of wholesome fruit breaking!

Since I decided the best way to make it through Our Skyy 2 with minimal damage is to drink my way through it, welcome to the fourth round of

This week's drink is Purple Pair for these color-coded boys in love:

Absolut vodka because vodka is my least favorite liquor (just like this show), but Absolut since much like this company, I'm gonna support my fellow queers no matter what

cranberry juice for Puen's pink(ish)

curaçao for Talay's blue

lavender syrup and rock candy on the rim for the wild switcheroo between calm and chaos

Last week's preview got me very excited for this installment to see these two be dads, but because I love spoilers, I already know I'm gonna be pissed, so . . . (-_-)

TALAY WASN'T THERE FOR PUEN'S BIRTHDAY?! We are starting with violence!

They can't go on this trip because of Puen, but it started with me being upset at Talay. I see we are also sticking to deceit.

During finals, I put a sign on my door of Drake's "Hotline Bling" stating: "Visiting without a prior appointment" vs. "Emailing me" because people be bold just popping in. I relate to Talay in his tent.

Puen started off by wearing fading pink, but now they are both wearing Talay's blue. If they both end wearing pink, I'll be happy.

This is disgustingly cute, but I can't even enjoy this because I know what nonsense is going to happen.

I'm obsessed with IKEA and Buc-ee's, so I will not judge Puen making it rain Lay's on his man. I don't need to understand it. I respect it.

We constantly mentioned how Vice Versa was snagging all the product placements, so The Eclipse could exist, but VV got Lay's money and YAMAHA?! This show was making bank! Because I keep seeing the Gran Turismo trailer, cue Nas x P. Diddy's "Hate Me Now" - You wanna hate me then hate me, what can I do but keep gettin' money

I'm upset! This shit is cute! Yet, it's gonna get fucked up BY LIES!

I don't know why it didn't register during the previews, but they really threw this kid out in the middle of a rainy night to kickstart these shenanigans! In the words of the best gay pirates, "The Fuckery"

Puen not wanting Jigsaw to feel alone because he felt alone all his life would be touching if not for the LIES!

I have been done with this drink since part one, and I'm getting more upset with each passing minute.

I can't wrap my head about Neo. Not even thinking about Kan when he appears on the screen even though I just saw him last week in The Eclipse. This man is going to be the best slutty villain in Only Friends. I feel it!

I haven't even mentioned us not getting Fuse x Aou. The only side crumbs that are thriving are MarcPawin and they weren't even in a show! Our Skyy 2 is not serving my side pairs agenda at all.

Jigsaw wearing blue then red while Talay and Puen switch colors makes me upset because THE LIES, THE LIES, THE LIES!

And now Jigsaw is wearing all the colors while Talay and Peun both wear yellow. I'm livid, y'all.

We were robbed by this show the same way it's robbing these companies of their money because they got that tea $$$ too (in their shared yellows)

Puen waking up in blue knowing damn well he done effed up is delightful, but not as great as Tup's (Neo's) walk run! Now, that is the walk of a man who knows he effed up and lost his sister's kid.

Talay can lie! Thank goodness!

Oh shit! He lied since the night before about the discipline?! I didn't think Talay had it in him. Damn. Good for him.

Tane in Our Dining Table and Jigsaw are two of the cutest children who deserve all the stuffed animals and all the hugs.

Such a lovely speech ruined by the undercurrent of lies and singing on the beach.

It didn't end with them in pink. (-_-)

I'm seeing red after this installment because this would have been a solid 9/10 if it weren't for the lie. I'm in my Our Dining Table feels, so seeing two men with a kid would have made this the best Our Skyy 2's episodes so far, yet it fumbled in the final stretch and flipped the tables, which means I have to flip the score.

6/10 CockTails for making me fall in love with a plot that never existed, but still funding the entire Our Skyy 2 series with its product placements.

Now I have to prepare for the singing in a show about singing when for the past four weeks, all I've gotten is singing. Thankfully, Fourth will wear glasses, and Mark will make an appearance.

It's me again lol, I saw in the rules and stuff that u can share nice things that happened and I wanted to share a few cuz I just felt like it

1. One of my new friends is like an actual ray of sunshine ,she's confident and nice and knows her abilities and I think I want to learn that from her ,I rarely make new friends and I'm glad that when I did it turned out good<3

2. That same new friend told me I have a very soft girl feminine aesthetic but in all the good ways cuz I sadly lived through the pink is pick me era.

3. That same friend also said I'm a very good teacher cuz I explained to her some math problems she struggled with, she said I was gentle and understanding and patient (i nearly cried honestly)

4. It was picture day yesterday and alot of people said I looked good while taking it (i rarely get compliments so it was nice)

5. I answered 24 out of 30 questions right on my first time doing an excersice on a pretty hard lesson that's also in a pretty hard subject I'm usually not good at.

6. I finally learned abt my blood type (B+) and I searched abt donations and such but I can only donate when I'm 18 so I guess I'm gonna use that time left to raise my hemoglobin levels cuz it's pretty low (im vv excited i love the idea of helping someone live better)

I Don't know if You Have Gotten Asked This Before.But How Would The Station And Lars Team React If They Found Out The Detective Had A Child or Adopted One And Managed To Keep It Secret From Everyone. #VV #ViceAndVirtue

Hi! Don't worry, I haven't received an ask like this so far. And I'm so sorry this took so long.

Lars Beckford

There's literally no way that Lars wouldn't know about, the Detective having a love child and/or adopting child. Infact he's known for quite some time, so when the news finally comes to light. Lars has no outward reaction, though when he did find out at first. Lars merely raised a brow. Hacking the Detective's hospital files if applicable, the personal files of the Detective's partner.

The child's medical records, and/or adoption papers, even if the child is an orphan. Lars will find what he seeks to know from the child's past. Sending his people soon after to keep watch over the child, as soon as they are born/adopted. Though, Lars expected the Detective to perhaps have a child of their own one day. He's slightly annoyed to know that this possibility has come to fruition, especially if the child is a biological offspring of the Detective.

Elias

Elias doesn't really care lol, he just shrugs at the news. Though, when it hits him that this sudden revelation, means that Lars is officially a grandfather. He'll raise a bow, processing this new piece of information, before quickly sinking back into the familiar feeling of boredom.

Nicholas

It would come as a slight surprise to Nick, though he recovers quickly. He'll express how he's delighted to hear about the Detective having a child of their own, stating that he understands why they kept that piece of information to themselves. And that he's happy the Detective felt comfortable enough to share a part of their personal life with him.

Also, expressing how nice it would be if they could meet the child one day, if the Detective allows it. Though, afterwards he'll go straight to Lars' office, asking how Team 1 moves forward with their assigned task. Now that the one person they are responsible for, has a child that needs to be accounted for.

Tobias

Surprise, surprise, lol Tobias doesn't give a fuck. Though, he is slightly annoyed at the implications, this new piece of information brings.

Tobias scoffs, "Great, more work for us. Now we're babysitting not only a grown adult, but now an actual fucking child. How I do this job sober, I'll never fucking know."

Afterwards, he'll go directly to Lars' office to have a few words with him. And by words, I mean to complain about his new job role, whilst also teasing Lars for being an old grandpa.

Kacey

Kacey is over the moon; she thinks children are little gifts to the world. And she's especially excited to meet the Detective's child, to see what they're like. Also, if the child is biologically the Detective's, she'll be curious to see if they're like a mini version of the Detective or not. Though she'll love them all the same, requesting to see the child as soon as possible. Though, pictures and videos of the child will also suffice, but she's gotta meet the little bundle of joy at least once...please?

Shuri/Shyam

They would be shocked into absolute silence; dropping everything they're doing at the time; you could hear a pin drop for the longest moment. Though, when the surprise finally settles in, the sting of betrayal soon follows.

"Wow, you had a whole fucking kid and never told me, some friend you are. You know that I've always wanted to be an uncle/aunt you ass!" Shuri/Shyam then scoffs, "What? were you worried your kid would love me more or something? As an apology for the for the betrayal, I demand that you let me see my niece/nephew/godchild immediately!"

Shuri/Shyam then quickly moves to retrieve their belongings, "Now tell me what kind of toys and candy they like, so I can go buy it. And don't even think about sabotaging me!"

Leena/Luther

Honestly, they're a little disappointed lol, like really? A whole child? For what?

Leena/Luther raises a brow, "You're clearly not busy enough Detective. Kudos for keeping the news under wraps though, the last thing your enemies need to know, is that you have a weakness that they can exploit."

Luther/Leena then walks out of the room without a second look, though they are slightly curious as to who the child's other parent may be. And if they're good enough for someone of such a high status or, why the Detective felt the need to take someone else's child as their own.

All in all, Leena/Luther takes the news in stride, disappointed to know how 'human' you truly are. Despite what others may think yet, comforted by the fact that the gap between the two of you has changed. You are not the same....

Mason/Marley

Damn near on the verge of a heart attack, Mason/Marley is unable to fully process the situation at first. Though, after some silent reflection, their initial surprise has transformed into something more. Either to jealously, wondering who the child's other parent may be and if you're still involved with them.

Or, to sweet admiration as they think about how wonderful of a person you really are, to take in a child as your own. They'll also secretly hope that you bring the child to the station, so that they can meet them. Wanting to win over the child.....and you.

Chief Richmond

Dennis would know, he has to, I mean he's the child's Godfather after all. Because in the off chance that something were to happen to the Detective, they'd need someone who they trust to look after their child. Someone who will protect their child, love them and most importantly keep them out of Lars' hands. And who better to do that then Dennis, the man who's been like a second father to you since you were a child.

And Lord knows how blessed he is that you trust him enough, for a role that he does not take lightly. You've always been a great joy in his life, and now you've given him another ray of sunshine to add to his dreary days. He's over the moon, extremely proud and so very hopeful that the Detective's child will help to make them whole.

Irene Beuford

She knew, oh she knew all right. Irene knew something was amiss, the way you would leave work abruptly at times, the secret phone calls. The bottle of children's medicine she found in your office once, oh trust and believe she knew.

The rest of the Department:

Absolute Chaos ensues, from the quiet whispers, to the shocked looks on everyone's faces. The gossiping, the bets placed on who the Detective may have had relations with, to who can find out more about the child and the whole situation. All in all, the department is in a constant buzz when the bomb is dropped, this will be a hot topic for quite sometime alright.

oh em gee, hi lia! it’s been so so long! how have you been? i hope you’re doing well :) i ended up falling asleep on the couch as soon as i got home, and now i’m in PAIN (/srs),, but anyway! i have a week off from school now, so i guess it was worth it <3

exams are on the 19th, so i guess i’ll have to be.. stu(dying) for those. i can barely function right now and i’ve been getting a lot, maybe too much sleep, and i still always feel worn out 😭 big yikes, hopefully it’s not bothering anyone (again) that i’m not going to be as active as i’d like.

💘Is there any posted fic you want to rework/re-edit/re-write

Outside of almost all of my JtHM works, there is the singular fic I made for the AHS fandom that I posted, that I know now (as a more seasoned writer) has a lot of issues, and even though I posted it when I was 14 or something, I still wince at my past self a little, I was in a really bad place. I still love AHS, I'm just not tuned in enough to the lore and shit to actually rewrite it without making a mess of myself. Eventually though!

💥Find your least kudos'd fic - say something wonderful about it

I have quite a few under 5 kudos that span some years, but the one with only a single kudos (no accompanying bookmarks or comments) is for the Azure series I dropped after I realized oc/canon content really isn't liked in the JtHM fandom (unless it's Scriabin) so it only got two works, and one person liked both (thank you vampriejunkie).

I really liked the concept that Edgar has a guardian angel, that follows him through each death he has. It was supposed to be this whole thing where the angel, Azure, partners with him and he gets a happy ending and actually lives past 21-25. There are so many ideas I still have for the both of them, and I drew vv rad art of Azure a few times. But I won't be doing anything for JtHM unless specifically requested anymore, so I don't think Azure will be picked up again.

💎Why is writing important to you?

It's gotten me through years of emotional neglect and abuse, and it shows (most of which was posted to Wattpad, yes, I'm serious.) If you take a look at how I used to do things in fic (if you can find it) you can see almost exactly what I read in fandom, what I took from it, and how long I had that mentality for. I used to think a whole host of things were okay as long as it was happening to me (which resulted in many friends distancing and leaving, in turn unintentionally worsening the behaviour) because I was groomed by family and family friends into believing it was okay (I used to be heavily into Supernatural, take a wild guess on what I thought was okay without any consideration that it was my situation at the time that influenced my response to people telling me no, it wasn't.) and that shaped how I wrote.

It was my only outlet because being on US disability benefits ™ in one of the lowest ranking states when it comes to mental health is the worst. After years of therapists and social workers that were only with me for a few months at a time kept leaving, I turned to writing. I'm finally in a spot (while still not ideal) where I can actually engage with art and writing in a more balanced way, because learning how to not digitally self harm was extremely difficult to do by myself, but I did it, even if there are slip ups sometimes (which is normal, just like any negative coping mechanism/addiction recovery) and I still write very angsty things, but at least I know what I'm doing with the themes I want to present now, and I'll learn with the ones I don't.

Friend Carmen has read over a current Monster fic involving Wolfgang, that I'm not done with, but I'm extremely excited to see where it goes! I also have one in the works with Steiner and Dieter, that I'm almost done with, and should be posted eventually. I miss writing for Monster, but the little meow meows of the Revachol Citizens Militia have me by the neck rn, so those will be a while yet. I have so many Monster wips actually, maybe I'll pick one up and dust it off in the meantime to throw seeds at my friends (affectionate).

(Post finale)

Episode 11 answered much of what I wanted to know on the portkey issue, even if I'm less than excited about the answers. I think that leaving the whole portkey thing so vague interferes with the love story. The elements of mystery should be tailored to fit the story being told.

VV introducing and resolving Puen and Talay's biggest barrier within episode 12 while still reserving time to give us some closure about what is going on with all the other characters (did I miss Pang in there somewhere, or did they just not bring her up?) and a Lay's segment makes the episode feel rushed and messy to me. I will take the Ep 11 Curse any day if it means they can properly set up a big, final problem and give it a resolution matching in scale.

As I noted earlier, VV is a love story; and, imo, they deliver on that front. I like Sea and Jimmy in the roles of Talay and Puen. I like how their interactions at the beginning of the series lay the groundwork for their relationship later. I like how Talay is romantic without really trying or realizing it while Puen tries to do the things he's done while acting and fails. I like how knowing and understanding your partner and the unique history the two of you share are the basis for what is endearing and what is not.

Out of all the parts of a story, I tend to put theme(s) at the top of the list. Themes can cover up a multitude of sins. Vice Versa is a wonderful example of this.

NOO hi alice its been awhile since i've sent an ask IM SORRYYYY

i finally went down to the shop to collect the txt jewel case! its actually similar to hot sauce jewel case! i pulled harley quinn tyun and hyuka as well as the other version's soobin! (i have tyun hyuka for the other ver hehe) AND I WAS SO HAPPY :((

im travelling to malaysia to visit my friend's family for 2 weeks and they're bringing me to different parts of the country / islands! so i think i'll have fun~ i actually only decided to travel (i wasn't going to anym) because i had just recovered from covid and so i can save a few hundreds on the PCR pre-depature test! as i only need to take the normal ART and would save me about a hundred dollars per test (theres 3 i think!)

IDK WHETHER ITS ALLOWED ㅠㅠ i haven't signed any contract or anything but i don't blame my employer because he's trying to talk to his MD about hiring us and he apologized :") but its because i thought my slot was secured (they only informed me the night before i was supposed to start) so i cancelled my other job and now im jobless 🧎🏻‍♀️💀

so far im having an okay week! i just went out with one of my close friends ystd and we were going to put beads in our converse shoe laces so we went to shop for beads (but ran out of time before we could put it in our shoes :( so we're meeting again soon!) and we picked loser lover! we also bought a bunch of yellow themed beads to make a beomgyu theme bracelet (bcs the official metal one is expensive and we decided to just make our own versions!) and both of our biases are beomgyu HAHA

i also found out that a couple of our mutual friends (who were her friends before mine) didn't like me at our first meeting but my friend thought i was cute so she defended me from her own friends 😭 shes a real one 🦾 they thought i was annoying / hated them but she explained its just my humour is vv odd and i was just socially awkward and if they were nicer to me i'd get along well and now we're all friends (though not as close as i am w my friend!)

i'm also starting college (?? idk if it's college but im getting my diploma!) and im honestly so excited for it, i have a friend going to the same school and we've known each other since we were born since our parents are friends but we're really awkward now since we barely meet up and talk / talk in general ㅠㅠ but im making it my goal to try and befriend her because on our last overseas trip together it was REALLY awkward between us and i shared a car with her family and only talked to her mom 💀

The sizzle of butter in the skillet provides a lively accompaniment to Wanda’s aggravation about the morning’s latest headline - one claiming that Tony Stark was personally responsible for the matchmaking that brought Vision and his lovely, currently scarlet eyed, wife together. It’s a claim not without some merit, if not for Tony’s involvement in Ultron’s creation and then in Vision’s own birth, he never would have been alive to fall so deeply in love with Wanda; however, as with most claims involving Tony it is also inherently hyperbolic. Had the billionaire actually been involved in Vision’s romantic pursuits, there is a very high probability that Wanda would have run the other direction.

“And you know what else it said?”

Vision scoops the pancake batter carefully into the buttered skillet as he responds, “What?”

“That he’s the reason Billy and Tommy want to be Avengers.” The only reason Wanda’s tea does not spill over the edge as she gesticulates out her anger is because she has wrapped it in a sheen of red. “Him!”

Grandiose sense of self worth is a rather glaring fault in the Stark family, a symptom Vision thankfully bypassed, no doubt due to the humble yet confident influence of Dr. Cho. “It is an unfair and misleading statement,” this diffuses her ire enough for her to take a sip of tea, “all that truly matters,” momentarily he turns from the stove to wrap his fingers around her upper arms and stare intently into her eyes, “is that we continue encouraging our sons to be their best selves, even if our work is never publicly acknowledged.”

Finally her face softens, the disdain etched into the lines of her forehead smoothing out with the roll of her eyes, “Fine.” Vision lays a peck to her forehead before turning back to rescue the almost burnt pancakes, “but wouldn’t it be nice if someone praised us for once?”

“It would.”

“Morning mom, dad.”

“Good morning Bil…” Vision’s mouth stops mid-greeting, brain a bit frenzied at the mixed signals he is receiving. The voice that just greeted him registers as Billy and yet the boy in front of him is sporting Tommy’s signature snowy hair and athletic clothing. “Um…”

“Tommy,” Wanda’s acknowledgement of their son should clarify everything, yet he can sense an odd amusement in the way she says the name, “why don’t you sit down, your father’s almost done with breakfast.”

To further add to the confusion of the moment, Tommy merely flashes them a grin (no snarky comment nor demands for it to cook faster) and then slides into Billy’s seat at the table.

Wanda’s hand comes to rest on Vision’s back, her voice low and a bit giddy, “This is going to be entertaining.”

“What is?”

“Just wait…” No further information is provided other than a wink.

Vision attempts to shove his curiosity and need to ask for more clarity down, instead channeling all of his energy into the pancakes and not burning them. Success at this repression endeavor is fleeting, the moment he turns to put the plate on the table, he cannot help but ask a question. “Where is your brother?” A glance up confirms it is three minutes past their usual breakfast time. Billy, like Vision, believes in punctuality and that being five minutes early is on time and being on time is late. For him to be late by normative standards is concerning. “It is unlike him to be late.”

Tommy chokes on his orange juice, eyes a tad wild as he twists around to look at the clock. “Um, I’ll go-“

“Good morning everyone!” Billy waltzes in with a cheery grin, his overall presence gregarious and brash, neither a word typically associated with him. His unusual mood is highlighted all the more by the uncharacteristically sloppy way his sweater is buttoned. “I’m famished.” A sentiment rarely shared by Billy.

Vision is torn between staring at his sons and seeking out Wanda’s reaction to whatever is happening in their kitchen. “Tommy,” his brother's name is overly enunciated, and the question, “Why are you in my seat?” asked with annoyance.

“Oh, sorry,” Tommy apologizes quickly, a first for sure, and then slides over to his normal chair.

This is, for want of a better word, weird.

Wanda, somehow, is making everyday small talk with their sons but Vision doesn’t process what is said, too focused on studying his children and the bevy of possibilities for why they seem so off. The initial fear is that they are Skrulls or some other shape shifting creature, a possibility they have sadly lived through before, not with the boys but on a mission with the Avengers. A vitals and physiology scan disconfirms this hypothesis (thankfully), the two bodies across the table are his sons. Despite this Tommy is eating at a snail’s pace, knife and fork working with precise movements to portion out perfect sized bites while Billy is going fast and loose with his fork, each bite different from the last. It also seems like Billy’s hair is a slightly different shade than usual, a tinge of cinnamon in his typically chestnut hair. Perhaps they have wandered into the multiverse yet again, though Wanda is his Wanda, he is certain of that and she seems to be more amused than concerned. Which means there must be a logical explanation.

Vision decides perhaps listening to the conversation at the table will better aid him. “Are you ready for the big math test today?” This is directed at Tommy, a pre-algebra exam Vision has spent several nights helping him study for.

Contrary to the numerous breakdowns that informed Vision that his son was going to fail so why bother trying, this morning Tommy seems...optimistic. “Yeah, dad’s prepared me well,” and overtly gracious.

“And Billy,” Wanda nudges Vision’s foot as she talks, always a sign he needs to get out of his head and pay attention, “today’s the mile run in gym, right?”

“Yep,” Billy answers while shoving a pancake into his mouth, continuing to talk while he chews, “gonna beat my record for sure.” This comment, and the smarmy confidence behind it, sets a new hypothesis into motion.

Vision runs a second vitals scan, this time focusing on heart rate and brain waves. The results are surprising yet informative, but just to be sure, he recalibrates his sensors, scans again, and re-analyzes it, not wanting to make an erroneous conclusion if his sensors were off. The results match his last scan and the oddities suddenly make sense. Finally figured it out? He turns towards Wanda, her face set with impish victory typically reserved for when she bests him at training. A dip of his chin affirms her telepathic comment though his own mood is nowhere near as bubbly as hers because despite knowing the truth now, it does not actually alleviate any of his concern, in fact it breeds several other pathways of uncertainty. Follow my lead.

The devious undertone of his wife’s comment transforms into an innocent smile as she addresses their sons. “Well boys,” both of their sons look up, “since it’s such a big day, we should celebrate later.” A shared look occurs between Billy and Tommy, one that Vision can’t quite label appropriately, a mix of excitement, bafflement, and victory.

‘Billy’ prods for more, his fork tapping the plate at roughly 200 clinks per minute. “Like what?”

Wanda is so natural at uncovering their lies that Vision can only sit back in awe at the way she effortlessly teases out the truth, “I need to meet with Strange later today, so Billy you can come along and we can ask if he’s finally willing to start training you to be a sorcerer.”

The current Tommy stares mouth agape at the offer, while the current Billy seems unimpressed, “Oh, um yeah, that’d be cool.”

“And Tommy,” Wanda reaches out to grab Vision’s hand, a gesture that is blissfully common but is right now no doubt meant to really drive home the offer, “Your father was going to do some speed trials this afternoon, maybe he can call the school so you can leave a period early and join him.” Vision was not going to do this but he withholds that knowledge so he doesn’t hinder his wife’s plan.

Tommy and Billy turn towards each other, no verbal words exchanged but Vision can easily recognize one of their telepathic conversations—bodies tense, their faces fluttering through a range of emotions, and eyebrows moving in emphasis of whatever comments they’re making. They break and ‘Tommy’ addresses the offer, “Billy has gym in 8th period.”

“Which is why he and I are going to meet with Stephen after school.” Wanda takes a deliberately long sip of her tea to let the information really settle in.

Their tactics switch to the other offer.“Isn’t uh truancy a pretty big deal, you know, if I,” ‘Billy’ catches himself, “Tommy were to leave early.

Vision decides he should aid in some way, voice matter of fact as he responds, “I do believe Tommy has a free period at that time. Plus,” thankfully this next part is not a lie or else Vision would feel guilty saying it, “I have to attend the PTA meeting tonight so we cannot wait until school is out if we would like to get a full session of training in.”

Another deep, very animated mental conversation occurs across the table, one that leads to an exaggerated roll of his wife’s eyes. “What if…”

Wanda cuts off the next suggestion, clearly done with the game, “Just accept that you’ve been caught.”

The two faces across from them are polar opposite, one shining with defiance and the other defeat. With a sigh, Tommy’s white hair darkens into chestnut, the real Billy slouching deep into his chair. His brother is not amused, “Are you really breaking that easily?”

Vision checks the time, noting their bus will arrive in less than 10 minutes. “Boys,” there are several things he wants to say, from questioning Tommy’s brown hair to why they thought they’d get away with it, but he decides those can wait, “perhaps instead of our planned celebrations tonight, we have a discussion on the harms of deception.”

Tommy, the real one, executes a perfect Maximoff eye roll, never one to appreciate the life lesson evenings that correspond with poor behavior. “It was just a joke.”

“I do not find it humorous.” And Vision does not, a deep despair blossoming in his chest at what his sons have attempted and what it means for how their sons view them, whether they think they are not loved enough nor noticed enough to be recognized by their own parents. “You intended to utilize this...joke for personal gain.”

Wanda cuts in, hand coming to rest on Vision’s thigh with a light, reassuring squeeze. “Why don’t you both change. The bus will be here soon. We’ll talk more tonight.” Muttered yes, mom s are lost in the scraping of their chairs against the wooden floor. “Tommy.”

“Yeah?”

“Did you dye your hair?”

“Yep,” Tommy runs his hand through his darkened locks, “the box called it chili chocolate.”

Wanda smirks, finding this far more endearing than Vision. “Just promise to use it responsibly.”

A not fully convincing salute goes along with Tommy’s, “Roger that,” and then he runs off in a blur.

“Wanda,” Vision waits until she looks at him, a bit unnerved that she does not seem to show any of the same concern for what just happened. “Are you not troubled at their flagrant disregard for honesty?”

Her eyebrows arch up, lips pursed the way they are whenever he has misassessed human nature and she needs to find a way to gently talk him through it. “It’s kind of a twin rite of passage.”

This is not forthcoming nor satisfying. “Did you and Pietro do this as well?”

“Once or twice.” His confusion must be evident, her lips curving up into a reminiscent mischief. “We weren’t good at it, especially once we were older. But you have to try.”

“Do you?”

A nod confirms the apparent necessity of such an experiment, though no further explanation is provided for Vision to comprehend why it is required. “You’ve never seen the Parent Trap, have you?”

“I have not.”

Scarlet energy entangles itself around the dishes at the table, floating them into the sink and away from their responsibility for now. “Come on,” Wanda stands and tugs on Vision’s hand, drawing him up out of his seat and then leading him into the living room. As she lightly pushes him to sit in the couch, a rush of feet, a banging door and a quick bye! marks the start of the school day, leaving them alone until this afternoon. “Want to watch a movie?”

“I suppose,” he wraps his arm around her shoulders after she sits next to him, pulling her closer and relishing the comfort of her head on his chest, ��if it provides adequate research to understanding this cultural necessity of deceit, then yes.”

“And if it doesn’t?”

Vision considers the comment a touch longer than needed, just enough for her to look up at him in anticipation, “if it means a day spent with you,” he kisses her deeply, mirroring the soft curve of her lips as he pulls away,”then it is still a yes.”

“Good.” The tv turns on and his education begins.
