• Whether it's you hugging him at the end of the shift, sitting next to him during meetings, Richie's hand stroking your hair: he makes sure to be always as close as he can. It's nice to feel your body heat. And to feel that you want to be close to him too.

• Tina is the first to try to mock him. He always rolls his eyes and turns away without arguing. Richie won't act like it's embarrassing him to show you he loves you. He would never make you think that loving you is a humiliating task.

• After all, everyone needs to have a soft spot. And Richie found his.

Someone sent me a post that was talking about how the fandom thinks it’s okay to hate Logan for being a nerd but not anyone else for the tropes they’re based on. They also said that people have been “getting defensive about their right to hate a charater”. The person probably has me blocked and won’t see this but idrc bc they were talking about me (to some extent).

no one is getting defensive about their “right to hate a character”. from what I’ve seen (and posted) it was just people pointing out how silly it is to say “oh you can’t hate this character 😡”. that’s literally it lmao. that’s not being “defensive”, it’s just pointing out how stupid you guys sound. also, it applies to you too? you can hate/like whoever you want.

“i'd be stabbed 27 times and set on fire for saying anything remotely bad about aiden but logan gets away scot free bc he's a ‘nerd’ and ppl simply dislike him bc of his trope? the double standards are just odd, that's what i'm addressing.” Scot-free? No I didn’t “get away scot free”. I got sent death threats, sm1 attempted to dox me, my dms were full of hate, and there was post after post of people saying things about me (some of which came from people you associate yourself with op). It just looks like I “got away scot-free” because I’m not a little bitch and can deal with backlash for my opinions.

you guys created this environment where everyone has to like everything! everyone has to feel the same way about everything! and a lot of you have this mob mentality and just follow the crowd instead of having you’re own opinions. There is no “double standard”. You guys hate on anyone and everyone for their personal opinions.

Do you not hear yourself?? Also people defend me because you guys get nasty quick. most of my posts are JOKES. yes I hate Logan, but I’m not being serious when I write things about him. Not to mention most the people who defend me now were at my thoart when we first started interacting.

Having different opinions on characters and vocalizing it is very important to fandom growth. You guys need to understand this. If you force everyone is like a charater then not only does it make the fandom boring to interact with it but it also creates drama. AKA THE WHOLE “LOWAR”. SHI WOULDVE NEVER HAPPENED IF I WAS ALLOWED TO DISLIKE LOGAN LMAO??? Not to mention, it allows you to see different perspectives and versions of the same charater just through someone else’s eyes. That’s why our fanon versions of charaters are just copy and paste of the canon versions. Because you guys never give anyone space to be creative. As soon as you don’t agree with it, you all jump on the person and make it a problem. It’s annoying.

If you don’t want to be attacked for your opinions on a charater then stop attacking others for their opinions. Obviously this problem won’t be fixed immediately but it’s one person at a time yk? Just know if you hate a character, you should expect at least a bit of backlash and debate. Shi I still argue with people and it’s been like 3 months. Just remember to be open minded, respectful, and have fun!!

“Hating” on a charater doesn’t have to be negative/drama. it’s you guys that make it into that. Relax a bit and have a little more fun. Or don’t, it’s ya life 🤷‍♀️

Just a rant about Travis mischaracterization in sally face (salvis) fanfiction (Please don't take this post too seriously if you are a fanfiction writer I love you and we should just get married <33)

This is mainly about salvis (sal x travis) fanfiction btw and it kinda goes along with a post I made talking about how the fandom treats Travis and I am gonna make a post about the mischaracterization of sal soon as well (I know I am spelling so many words wrong lmao) BEGINNING OF RANT: Why do so many fanfic writers make travis some uwu shy boy?!?!?! I feel like Travis wouldnt be "Shy" when he is trying to be nice I feel like he would just sound agressive when he speaks if that makes sense. Idk why everyone just got the idea that Travis (after the bathroom scene in episode three) would just become shy or quiet. Like he was loud and not shy when he was bullying sal but all of a sudden he become shy and anxious?!?! that makes no sense to me. Also I am not trying to say that you cant write travis like this because in reality he was only in the game for like a few minutes but idk its just something that bugs me for some reason. I dont really care if you see travis like this btw live your truth king (or queen or wtv idrk) I am just saying in most salvis fics I have read travis is always just so....not travis lol. Btw I am not trying to shit on any persons writing because I do see a lot of this mischaracerization (idk if I can even call it that tbh but I cant really think of any other word for it) in peoples writing and I dont wan it to look like I am shitting on their work. Appearance: 164cm. Brown wavy hair, dark Brown eyes. Curvy body I guess? I'm pale with visible beauty marks like on my lips. I wear glasses/sunglasses. I've been described as cute and a tease because I always bite my lips out of habit lol. I often have a tired/annoyed expression or a smile. I wear comfy clothes and even pj outside. Or cliché villain clothes, no in between. I try to wear gloves to stop myself from bitting my nails.

I appear as cold and very sarcastic. But I can be charismatic when I want. I'm always polite unless I dislike you (you'll know it because I become passive agressive). How I act depends on how you act with me, unless I'm in a bad mood. In that case I isolate to not break hearts too much. I act flirty around my friends and is known for sometimes playing with hearts (I'm oblivious to it). But concerning feelings none is more obvious or naive than me lmao. I'm petty and can go very far out of spite or vengeance. I curse a lot and will call you out on your bullshit with no issue no matter who you are.

I'm moody and not a morning person AT ALL. I'm brutally honest and it affected some friendships because people sometimes won't dare to approach me. I'm also socially obvious to a lot of things. I'm very curious and have a short attention spawn.

Getting along with me is easy peasy. As long as you're not whiny or a hypocrite we will get along. Now getting to know me is....nearly impossible. No friend of mine has managed to make me spill my problems even thought they share theirs and I help them out. My trust issues and daddy issues are too important for that lol. I don't open up and bottle my feelings all the time till I shut down or explode. I isolate a lot when I have problems or I'm just thinking (I love daydreaming). I'm rebellious but also a smooth talker. My friends know I have good intentions and would never wrong an innocent person. I'm the smart but reckless friend cuz I'll always hype up bad ideas for fun. I can be a bit naive. Even thought I have morbid curiosity and shared dubious experimental ideas....morals ain't my Forte. I'm more logical than emotional. I'm ambitious and can't stand my own failure. But I'm also lazy and a procrastinator which is a terrible combo. I'm always willing to debate and learn new things because knowledge is very important to me. I'm creative and innovative, I know when to get to business. I'm very competitive and try to hide it. Yeah I have an ego, so what? if you don't have a solid argument with me, I'll destroy you.

Despite that, I joke a lot and never take anything seriously. It happens that I underestimate people (I beat them later sooo). I'm a big tease and love to rile up people and see them get angry. I subtly insult people when they piss me off.

Swerve, Tailgate, and G1 Arcee x Scene GN Human reader

Learning about Halloween

(Seperate)

[A/n: okay i'll admit it. This is completely self-indulgent Lmao!]

Warnings: none

Context for Tailgate and Swerve's parts: The Lost Light stops by Earth for supplies and to get you a life time supply of food, clothes, and other stuffs you'll need.

I LOVE THEM SO MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAA-

🕷Swerve🦴

You both were on a drive in a neighborhood which was near where the Lost Light was, nothing was really happening so you were both enjoying the fall scenery. You both drove towards a nearby mall in comfortable silence until Swerve spotted some Halloween decorations outside the walls.

"Sweetspark? What are those unsettling lawn ornaments for?"

"Oh, those are just Halloween decorations."

"Whats that?"

"Well... Halloween started off as a tradition during harvest season where people would carve pumpkins to scare off demons, but later on it somehow evolved into dressing up and getting free candy during the night cycles.. Its also a way to celebrate fear."

"....THATS SO COOL!! Are you gonna dress up? Can I dress up with you? How scary is it? What are you gonna dress up as? Whats your favorite candy? How scary is it?"

You chuckled as your conjunx rambled on with all of his questions and opinions, happily listening to and answering everything he had to say or ask.

After you both arrived at the mall, He activated his holo-form, and you two went inside. Ypu both visited all of your favorite stores and gathered clothes, snacks, and other things to keep you entertained.

Near the end of it, you both stopped by your favorite place to get food. It was then when Swerve said something that made your heart melt.

"I'm so glad to have you as my conjunx, ya know that? You're so different and learning about you just blows my mind. I love ya, Sweetspark."

"I love you too Swerve.. i think thats the sweetest think anyone has ever said to me, not gonna lie."

After you finished eating, the two of you rode back to the Lost Light. Swerve put you in some pajamas and set you down on the little nest of blankets and pillows on his bar. He sat down, resting his arms on the bar and just stared at you as you did your own thing.

".....Swerve, you alright, bud? You're staring at me."

"I'm alright, I just like watchin ya. I love ya, sweetspark."

"Lova ya too, big boy."

You give him a kiss before you lay down and stare at the skylight and watch the stars with Swerve.

👻Tailgate🎃

You stepped into the passenger side of Tailgate's tiny alt mode with your Invader Zim backpack and started putting on your rubber spike ball earrings. Despite how small he is, Tailgate's alt mode is surprisingly comfortable.

"Where are we going, honey? We got your clothes yesterday."

"Oh its nothing much. I just wanna introduce you to a tradition of ours." You reply as you make a few touch-ups on your eyeliner and hair, making sure its out of your face with a Gir hair clip.

"...What do you mean 'its nothing much', that sounds fun!!"

"Aight lets go then!"

You give him directions to a nearby pumpkin patch and park nearby. You put on the baby sling as Tailgate activated his holo-form. You pick him up and put him in.

"Hey Tail? If you're over 6 million years old, why'd ya chose a baby as your holo-form?"

"I didn't.. i think it was completely randomized."

"...that explains the bad outfits the others have."

You walked around with Tailgate on your chest as you looked at all the booths containing treats, face painters, and other stores. Tailgate's gaze was all over the place, taking in his surroundings as people looked back at him with cute agression. He then spoke up when you sat down in the middle of an entire area of pumpkins.

"So whats the tradition?"

"Well, every harvest season we pick out a pumpkin, hollow it out, carve a scary face into it, then light a candle in it at night."

"Thats kinda weird.. but fun!"

"Yeah! It stared like 200 years ago when people did this to 'scare off demons' and stuff like that. But now we just do it for fun."

"Nice... hey can humans eat... 'pumpkins'?"

"Yep! In fact, theres lots of pumpkin flavored things, some of them are just flat out gross though." You chuckled to yourself.

Tailgate picked out the largest one he could find and you picked out a nice, medium, round one, along with a few mini pumpkins.

After that, you and Tailgate got your faces painted and you ate some lunch as he sat on the picnic table. You two also went on a hayride around the corn maze, it was at this time you decided to tell him more about harvest season activities.

"Pumpkin carving isn't the only thing we get to do this month either."

"Mind elaborating?"

"All of this builds up the the very last night of the month. The holliday we call, Halloween. Ya basically dress up and go for a walk where you get free candy. It can be scary though."

"Are you gonna dress up?"

"Yeah! And i have a halloween costume for you too if ya wanna join."

Tailgate's expression lit up at those words.

"Really?! What is it? Is it a turbofox? A pumpkin?"

"A worm on a string!"

Tailgate's visage went from excited to confused.

"Whats that?"

You show him a picture on your phone and he starts giggling and flapping his arms.

Your time at the pumpkin patch ends when you start yawning and Tailgate insists on going back to the ship so you can rest. You place Tailgate's holo-form back into the car and put the pumpkins in the back. You tell him the rest of the basics about halloween, like the history, why we need to keep black cats inside, other interpretations of it, etcetera.

Tailgate then carries you and the pumpkins into your shared room on the Lost Light. You grab the tools and newspapers, and the two of you start carving while disney halloween classics play on the tv.

🕸Arcee🦇

Its Halloween, and Arcee finally got a Holo-form. You figured inviting her over for the holiday would be a great way to celebrate, not to mention so you can give her the stuffed plushie you made for her. You put on your Gir costume while waiting for her to show up. You put on the costume's hoodie as you hear the doorbell ring. You grab the candy bowl just in case its kids at the door.

You open the door and see a lady with short white curly hair, pillowy red lips, and striking blue eyes. Shes wearing a pink sweater, red grandma glasses, and the cutest pink skirt you've ever seen.

"Hello, wait- Arcee is that you?"

"Hello, dear, how are you?"

Her voice is as sweet and melodic as you remember. You set aside the candy bowl and hug her with excitement as you kiss her on the cheeks.

"Arcee!!! Oh odds i missed you, you look amazing!"

"Aww, you flatter me, sweetspark."

Just then you notice a group of kiddos in costumes, you grab the candy bowl as they all say the well known line almost everyone says on Halloween night. You hand out two pieces of candy for each kiddo as you compliment their costumes, and with a 'thank you', they move on.

Arcee seemed a bit confused at this.

"What was that?"

"Its part of a tradition that's happening tonight, I'll explain when you come inside, its awfully cold out here."

You two sit down on the couch and hand Arcee her gift. She thanks you then scoots closer to you so she can hear better.... and because she wants snuggles.

"So, what just happened is a little tradition called Trick or Treat-ing. Basically kids dress up as monsters or whatever else and walk around at night gathering candy."

"Oh! Thats fun, mind if i ask why though?"

"Its a long story. It started out like 200 years ago when people started carving pumpkins and dressing up to scare demons and other evil creatures off. It soon enough evolved into this. In my opinion though, Halloween isn't just about candy and costumes, i like to think its a way to celebrate our fear."

"....wow.. thats really interesting, and fun! Can we do that?"

"Yep! I actually have a few costumes for you to pick from if you'd like."

"Yes please!"

She jumped off the couch and started peppering your face with kisses before you lead her to your room and bring out the costumes.

You leave her be so she can get changed, you pass the time by getting the rest of your makeup and costume on. You finish just as Arcee trots out of your room wearing an adorable Sandworm costume.

"How do I look, Sweetspark?"

"Amazing..."

You approach her and take her hands in yours, they're soft.

"You're so beautiful, you know that?"

"I can say the same for you as well, my spark."

She kisses you before you grab some glowsticks and other essential things you'll need.

"What's the glowy things for?"

"So we don't get hit by a car, and so we can spot eachother."

You explained as you put a pink glow bracelet on her arm, and a green one on yours. You put the candy bowl on the front porch with a note telling the kiddos to only take two. And with that, you head out with Arcee.

You two trick or treat for a while until you decided you have enough candy (yall got a lot btw). You stop by your house and drop off the candy before wandering off into the night for more things to do.

You go into a haunted house then join in on a Halloween party, since Arcee can't technically eat human food, you packed her some Energon which she enjoyed while the two of you vibed at the party.

Two hours later, you arrive home with an empty candy bowl on the front porch, but more treats you've gained from the party, along with two worms on a string matching you and Arcee. One green one, and one pink.

You lock the front door behind you before Arcee all of a sudden picks you up and carries you to your bedroom. She gently sets you down on the bed and snuggles up beside you.

"Its been a fun night, hasn't it?"

She nods in agreement as you yawn.

"Maybe we should recharge?"

"Definitely."

You wrap your arms around her as she does the same to you.

"Goodnight, Arcee, I love you."

"I love you too, Darling."

The two of you drift into unconsciousness rather quickly due to how eventful tonight was. Even if one or both of you have a nightmare from that haunted house, you have eachother.

The Legend of Anle ep 1-10: Thoughts and feels!

Not my favorite poster, but one that I think it’s pretty nonetheless.

I’m actually really happy with how the story started, despite being different from the novel. I like that Anle and HanYe met within the first ten minutes. While in the novel they have a real conversation until chapter 9! That’s crazy. Despite them making Anle more agressively flirty and HanYe a lot more shy, I like the dynamic they have managed to built. It took them a good five eps imo to find their footing and start the story for real, but I like that they took their time for the setup.

I’m specially happy with how good of a double agent Anle is. She can be so cheerful and obliviously flirty, saying Crown Prince this, Crown Prince that, but then turn around and give off this cold look and transform into the Di Ziyuan who’s back for revenge. And although a bit harder to read at the start, Crown Prince is shaping up to be a hell of a noble and righteous character. But the man is not a saint and I’m sure they’re gonna do him justice on that end hehe

If she knew he was going to catch her, doesn’t that show she has a bit of trust in him?

Of course, I wouldn’t be here without the romance (not even for Gong Jun, sadly... nah who am I kidding, I probably would, but I wouldn’t enjoy it as much) and while I’m a bit subconsciously anxious because of the big secrets and tragedies lurking in the back, I cannot help but to think them cute. It does seem like HanYe doesn’t have any idea there wasn’t any real treason and it looks like Anle isn’t completely sure of that (the way she got him drunk to get him to spill secrets about it told me as much). And because the show has been following the novel pretty closely, I’m just gonna trust it and believe they will do the story justice.

They’re choosing to keep the Emperor more in the background in these eps, just like his mother, but these are bitches and I hiss at my screen everytime I see them. I’m not kidding. I guess Crown Prince and his sister turned out to be actually good because of the tragedy the lived when they were children and well, guilt. So much horror would turn you one way or the other, I think. And I have to consider the Emperor really made sure HanYe received the best education (and actual values) to make him the way he is.

my besties!! there was so much going on at their fight scene, but it just cracks me up that’s how they greeted each other and afterwards became sworn sisters lmao

I absolutely love Anning already and I feel like every minute we have with her is so precious! I just want her and Anle to be friends forever and get wasted together while annoying their boyfriends I mean, her guard and the CP. *winks*

I like them! I’m gonna ship it! (even if they break my heart in the end lol)

I just love that their relationship has been evolving organically. He wouldn’t even look at her with more than a look of desdain or exasperation, but she started to wear him down and like I said, bring down his barriers. Now he smiles sweetly at her and that’s how I know he’s fallen for her. Well, he also pretty much said it while he was drunk and then admitted to think about her often, to her face!

And while they’re both beautiful, they didn’t start to like each other because of looks. For HanYe, he knew from the beginning Anle wasn’t there to be just the Crown Princess, he knew she had ulterior motives for joining the court, but chose to trust her and that, so far, has been proven to be a good choice (until it won’t be, but now is not the time for that). With all the corruption in the palace and outside of it, Anle has been proven to be a powerful ally and one with amazing deductive skills, witty, smart and capable. And that’s why HanYe is captivated.

However, I do love more the fact that Anle has started to fall for the CP simply because he’s good. This girl, who has been waiting for a decade for this very moment, a mastermind hungry for revenge, decided to stage the “perfect” plan of shamelessly chasing after CP’s delicious body so that she wouldn’t raise suspicions about her real identity, but ended up caught up in her own trap. And I know she’s just gonna deny it until the last possible moment and then, it’s probably gonna be too late.

But for now, let’s enjoy the adorbs! (In ten eps I’ll probably be crying so)

I think dadrius fans are sleeping on the comedic potential of post-canon Hunter getting jealous over Darius giving nicknames to other kids.

Not Hunter's close friends of course, he would think that's funny and cool, but for example someone like Jerbo. Hunter gets back from a school break vacation in the Human Realm, and Jerbo had started helping with the sigil removal project and already got a nickname. And Hunter is super mad because Jerbo has anti-authoritarian tendencies + knows abomination magic = is Hunter being replaced by a better white boy? (that happens at the point post canon where Hunter wouldn't actually for real believe it, but he is still very much a passive-agressive teenager about it)

I think we're sleeping on the comedic potential because we're all too used to thinking about angst when it comes to literally any scenario lmao 😭 I'm blaming Hunter for this one, he just makes it too easy.

Honestly it's so funny because the way I picture Darius and Hunter's relationship post-canon is that Darius is such a whipped dad that while there's definitely a lot of teasing, as evidenced by that intense hair ruffle in the epilogue, and playfully snarky comments, he probably is far softer on Hunter than he is with literally anybody else, Eberwolf very much included because Darius is very much like Eda when it comes to expressing his affection. Raine can attest to that.

So he probably was like that during their sewing lessons at the castle as well, it's only once the adoption becomes official that he starts being more openly soft because he can afford to without blowing his rebel cover like before, and he has a very traumatized teenage boy in his hands who certainly could use the sincerity when it comes to him expressing his mushy parental feelings.

That's all well and good. Hunter loves being the exception to Darius' rule about how to show he cares. Being Darius' little prince who's absolutely getting a big, obnoxious cheek kiss with a loud "mwah" at least once a week because Darius likes teasing him in the corniest of ways but also does mean the affection.

It's good. It really is.

But then people like Jerbo come along and Hunter sees Darius teasing him with that playful snark that was so characteristic of him at the beginning of their bond and he's immediately grumpy and suspicious about it.

It's not like he has lost that, it's just that Darius is softer with him and it was never a problem until it is.

"Wow, Darius, how come you don't call me a little shit while smiling at me and payfully patting my back before we go our separate ways? Isn't it so interesting how that happens? 🙃". He's raging, he's seething, he's glaring at Jerbo whenever he sees him over Darius' shoulder because he's being hugged at this exact moment and poor Jerbo doesn't understand if Hunter thinks he did something to Darius or what's wrong with him. It's always problems with the Emerald Entrails, who's next? Gus???

Darius ends up finding out about it, of course, because Hunter is tragically bad at hiding his emotions, especially now that he doesn't have to keep up an act and it's been a while since he has to, and he finds it terribly amusing but of course he has to clarify that he doesn't plan on replacing Hunter. He's not too sure about calling Hunter a little shit though, but increasing the amount of playful teasing is something that can be arranged.

Hunter is probably a little ridiculous about it, he still wants to cuddle with Darius on the couch while shooting snippy remarks back and forth and that's a very valuable form of bonding to him. Darius is equally as ridiculous so it works out fine.

hello everyone!! i'm the person who ran the TUA color polls for each of the seven siblings over the last few weeks. sorry it took so long but i'm here with results! i'm going to have charts first because they are flashy, easy to look at an understand, and also won't make the post too long above the keep reading :DD without further ado, the results of the poll: "Which color do you associate with [Hargreeves]?" !!

[keep in mind that the labels are above the charts, and viktor's may be hard to read because the chart maker i used only had a white background- same if you're on dark mode i apologize]

analysis and words under here if you're interested lol :D it’s basically me just rambling for WAY TOO LONG about analysis lmao

okay so going into this, my hypothesis was that everyone’s colors were more or less determined by their s2 outfits. the fashion was iconic and stood out a lot, so it was very likely to stick in people’s brains.

my personal choices in order of siblings are: blue, orange, yellow, pink, green, red, and blue again. i chose green for five because of like.. chalkboards? i feel like he gives the green vibes y’a know? for the rest it was mostly determined by outfits and vibes etc.

but i’m sure nobody wants to hear me talk about my own opinions for too long [afterall, i didn’t even vote in the polls to keep them unbiased as possible] so here’s my analysis of YOUR choices

blue green and yellow were all the top choices for luther, which makes sense to me. blue ended up winning. they’re all generally cooler colors. when i think of luther i think of less stand-out colors, something solid and steady. blue is the most popular favorite color. it has a lot of range, just like luther. he wears it a lot throughout the seasons. blue is associated (not to bring color theory onto the color theory website or anything) with a feeling of sadness, and also responsibility. i really see him as a very tragic character tbh, à la s1 characterization.

diego was surprising to me, because even though my prediction of orange was correct there was a large amount of black in play. red was third after that. i don’t see it as that surprising considering his outfit from s1 lmao. let’s be honest they’re all emo anyways. red and orange are both associated with fire. diego probably would do arson if he thought he was doing the right thing. red is very agressive of a color, but orange is seen as a little less in your face. it can represent change too. but all in all, i think that it was chosen most often because of his orange and black polka dot shirt from s2. slay ig

allison was surprising to me at first, because i didn’t expect so much purple. i think that the pink might be because she’s a girl though. the red is what confused me the most. i would love to hear anyone else’s thoughts because i’m honestly not sure. @creepy-not-crawly (❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️) was talking with me about the polls, and said this about allison having yellow win:

purple is associated with royalty and we all know she’s a queen. ofc, yellow won. we ALL remember that dress from s2. she’s also fairly optimistic for the first two seasons, and s3 largely revolves around her trying to force herself to be happy. yellow is associated with happy, and she was happy when she was with ray and trying to get it back s3. i have a post about the whole tone fuck up from s2/s3 here X so read that if you want!!

alright klaus. green came out (haha get it) in first and i think this one was essentially due to the association of ghosts and supernatural things in general with green. it’s SPOOOOOKY you know? it’s represents change and growth. the guy is trying. also the military is associated with green uniforms (at least in the US), so it can be easily linked back to the vietnam war incident from s1 and his connection to dave.

five had the most votes and it ended up with the closest results to one color taking half the pie. blue won, and red and black followed. i think for the red, it might be because of the metaphorical and literal blood on his hands. as far as i can tell, his powers- some of the most distinctly colored in the show- were a major factor: (credit to @dead-peppermint and @the-time-travelers-admirer in that order)

and his iconic uniform is mentioned as well. (thank god the old man got a change of clothes in s3, manifesting for s4) blue represents responsibility and we all know he has so much on his shoulders (insert joke about how hunched over he was s3 because aiden gallagher has been aging over these past 5 crazy years but he’s supposed to be playing a 13 y o boy). blue is also associated with calm- the man needs some calm in his life, à la that one part of s3. and last of all, sadness. i think most of us remember “HE’S LOVED THEM FOR LONGER THAN THEY’VE BEEN ALIVE” (link post cus i can’t find it) and he spent so long mourning his family, and is probably still mourning them.

og ben is probably the most underrated character imo, so i was excited for this one. i predicted red because of that one scene (UGHHH SO TRAGIC) when he was a kid and covered in blood like “can i go home now” (🥺). my dear mutual @/deadpeppermint from before left these thoughts:

blue and purple tied for first, with red and black in second. honestly the leather jacket? hoodie? thing? and generally emo vibe really lent itself to that lmao. i think purple and blue are also really good colors for him, because he is a king and also responsible as heck (or at least, he tries in comparison). i’m still crying over how he left in s2 ISTG BRING HIM BACKKKK (srsly tho line i want to make a post about his absence affected s3 ughfhfhfhfhfhh) but that brings us back to blue meaning sadness, and oh my lord does this boy represent grief!!! he’s soooooo <3

and finally omg we are at viktor! this graph is fucking hilarious to look at because it just looks empty. the white violin had an association with color, and you could NEVER GUESS which one (sarcasm). i actually forgot about this next was blue, and i think it’s cute that blue was on top three, even top two for 5 6 7. and the. @/deadpeppermint once again with thoughts:

MMMMM DATA. i would make some kind of conclusion, but i'm damn tired and i think that my whole hypothesis kind of worked out! TYSM TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED!! and the people who left thing in the tags or talked to me about it? A MILLION LOVE FOREVER

i plan on doing more analysis in the future, but this is kind of dipping my toe in with a more fandom centered analysis. also! shameless self promotion! this whole thing started because i made a little animatic? thing? and started wondering about the colors because i ended up assigning them. My motivation to write essays has been waning lately BUT I do have a big post about theories and facts on Chilchuck’s family planned, his wife and daughters plus some Chil’s dad and siblings, the whole package. On top of more marchil crumbs to post oof… Ideally I should also rework the first part of the marchil crumbs to make it more streamlined and dare I say convincing. Also fanart and fics which I hope to get around to finishing up… I def want to make more marchil content, but I honestly have no clue which idea to work on next… (I take requests and prompts btw~). I want to make more fluff but I also want to make more hurt/comfort, ahh dilemma

One idea I have that’s particularly relevant is a fic that I’d call Locks of Hair, about blonde hair and the key to his heart. I’d love touching on his attraction to blondes and how that might affect their relationship in a neat lil introspective oneshot like I like to make. LOCKS of hair? Being the KEY to his heart? I love the english language. There’s sorta this trope where if a character loves money has a liking for blondes it’s because like, the hair is "golden", and I’d find playing with that so funny too.

Another that really has my heart right now is Marcille’s mom visiting them to see her daughter and meet her new partner Chilchuck, and it throws them into a frenzy to prepare for it, Chil being entirely too stressed and dreading. And seeing them her mom’s eyes soften and she tells them they remind her of her and her late husband… The bittersweet pride mixed with anticipation at how her daughter has grown into someone who can accept loss, and is willing to throw all of herself into loving despite them not even having 20 years together ahead of them……. I think about marchil proposals and marriage a lot. Hey hey did you know that in Japan "I want to drink your miso soup every day" is a way to propose, because that’s so Dungeon Meshi. The way proposals are so meaningful with these two because it truly is like "i want to give my lifetime to you, knowing all that it entails, but I believe that it’s worth the trouble. That it’s worth it." I have so much proposal dialogue between them written up oogh they make me so emotional

okokok so I know I meme on the radiance and the pale king a lot, but I'm also kinda going "god damn what a terrible situation to be in" at all parties. Mb its just cause I haven't read the lore in a hot minute, time span? I'm having 4 am thoughts don't mind me. This may not even make sense in the morning lmao. just enjoy the ramblings if ya want yall

anyways, To have an entire group of people completely abandon one god in favor of another in such a short timespan? well usually that happens cause of stuff like genocide or cultural genocide. And maybe I just happened to miss it, but I don't think that happened in hallownest. But maybe it did and maybe thats why radiance got so fuckin mad. Or maybe the moths just slowly drifted away towards PK, which can happen over generations. But it also sort of seems like. self destructive ig. Radi destroying the people of any neighboring kingdom because she's *furious* man. so upset, and angry, and lonely even. Like, imagine being a very powerful individual with a very loyal fan base only for some weird ass fork looking thing to steal that fan base away from you. Well, more like a kingdom but ig fanbase may be the online equivalent. But here comes some fuckoff weird fork lookin man, steals your look, steals your people, and then fucks off. AND. Also stole folk away from some other nearby local gods? the fucks up with that?? fuck you actually PK. I'm gonna idk, wipe out ur cities. that's pretty reasonable for a god's reaction right?

"hold on hades, she also targeted others who weren't aligned with PK. Why would radi target them? weren't they hurt by the PK's actions?" Yes great question invisible audience. But here's the thing, people don't react reasonably all the time. Radi basically lost everything. Her people started drifting away from her until there was one singular old moth left who still seemed to care about her still. And they were alone. Her and her singular moth follower were oh so painfully alone, with nothing but ghosts to keep them company.

So she lashes out. Ignoring the fact that causing a massive plague is generally extreme cause she's a god, we can still recognize that she is very deeply hurt, upset, and angry. And normal people when hurt, upset, and angry, don't usually think clearly. They tend to say things that hurt people, or sound agressive, or even be agressive. Some people may isolate even, though different people do different things. Radi's reaction was to lash out in a way that hurt anyone around them.

"ok, but what does this have to do with places like Greenpath or Deepnest?" GREAT question invisible audience. Sometimes people react to things that are associated with a certain topic with the same reaction as the certain topic. There are certain songs I disliked until I saw a really cool video go along with it, which made me like the song. The brain is weird like that, and likes to categorize things (even if we don't recognize it as categorizing). Add in a "me vs them" mentality and it only gets worse. That is likely what happened here. Radi gets pissed off at PK, and likely also at the white lady. Well, the white lady has control over greenpath now, unlike Unn, so fuck the greenpath too cause that's technically part of PK's domain. WELL he *also* has an alliance with the mantis tribe, and control over the mushroom tribe. So fuck them too.

Maybe Deepnest would have been safe if Herrah and PK didn't have their deal, but they did, and now Deepnest is terrible too for siding with PK. Maybe the hive or outer edges would have been safe, but the colluseum houses itself in a wyrm's body. And maybe at that point, radi was certain that it was her vs the world, so she *had* to protect herself/defend her honor.

"well didn't the PK deserve all that?" I mean, if you look at it from Radi's perspective sure! but what about PK's perspective? He starts up a pretty cool kingdom, has a lovely wife, is well loved by his subjects, and Radi's followers stsrt deciding to follow him. He can't control that, though he could certainly try to discourage it. He tried being friendly, though perhaps it is in his nature to want to consume all he can. To control as much as possible, to become the bigger enemy. Perhaps he and radi just fuckin. Poofed up at each other like chickens do and instead of anyone going "hey man, whats goin on? maybe we can figure this out with our words" they just keep poofing up at each other, mad at the other for different reasons.

So his people start getting sick with this religious disease caused by what's clearly a rival God. So he tries to figure out the source, and to find solutions with the least drastic measures. But it slowly builds to more and more desperate attempts until he discovers the void, something very opposite of what he and the radiance is. So he casts the children of him and WL into the void, and waits. Because *surely* this will work. a container to hold this fucker in. Trains up this container so they're really good at being a container. Well, the container is leaky and he doesn't realize until it's too late. The infection comes back, and he loses everything he once had, just like Radi did.

I think messing with the void might have led to his death, just like it does with Radi, just maybe less aggressively. Both were so desperate to try and maintain something that was never going to last, only to be consumed by what's nearly a literal definition of an end.

Maybe if they would've just talked, they would still be around with thriving communities. Maybe they would have been friends, or akin to siblings maybe. Perhaps PK and WL would have had children, and deepnest may have slowly crumbled apart from not having an heir of royal blood. Maybe Unn would regain their strength and join the other gods. Who knows what the possibilities could have been.

It's a shame, though, knowing such a connection could never happen.

Man we need more high budget looney tunes bc I miss bugs and daffy particular comedic body language.

So much of their charm is based on their movement. Daffy is more wacky and energetic and bugs usually has more subtle ademants, therefore in a less careful animation i get that is way easier to save the looneyness for daffy and the calm and collected pose for bugs, but they add so much to his characterization that when you take those details away he feels kinda watered down.

I feel like ive been over this way too much lol but I still don't feel like I get the point across that Bugs IS actually supposed to be funny AND have fun.

He's a clown.

Daffys charm comes from him being a mess up, he's clumsy, accident prone, slapstick is his forte, guy's a living elastic band.

While bugs also posses this quality is not quite as often that this happens so in the meantime his charm comes from his grace, his movements are graceful but silly, because of his TIMING, thats what makes him a good clown.

While I love how these two characters complement eachother, bugs doesn't exist solely for the purpose of making daffy the joke of every sketch (argh looney tunes show I love you but you have your flaws) they're both individual characters that can shine on their own and not one is zanier than the other if you think about it. Like bugs status didn't became a thing just to shit on daffy.

Actually Im not that sure of the historical accuracy of this but the status of bugs is more of a response of the actual public?

Bugs wasnt created to be loved by everyone in the looney tunes universe, lmao if you watch the classic cartoons you realize that bugs is often hated by everyone, he's annoying, loud, an inconvinience where he goes, tex Avery and the other directors before the Chuck Jones era versions were like that.

Bugs just doesn't give a fuck, in fact he craves for more, like that one cartoon where hes trying increase the recompense on rabbits.

Thats where his charm comes from, he doesn't let people tell him who he is, he's this kind of anti hero, who sometimes does good deeds but is a) out of Pitty or b) to inconvinience the bad guy.

What Chuck Jones did was subvert bugs's priotities, suddenly bugs was mostly this hero godlike figure, he took this heroic version of him and just sometimes shows the antihero part in subtle passive agressive outbursts, and it WORKED.

BUT seems like he got encaged into that characterization. And I feel like is because CJ scalated on how untouchable he could be and then didn't know/care how to de-scalate.

But truth is hes not so funny when you don't have the whole picture and THIS is where I think people who write him off as someone boring/always the voice of reason get him wrong, so let me tell you what I mean

I'm often saying how he needs a transformation from hero to villain bc it gives both characters (him and daffy) what they need but he has already gone through an evolution before which just goes to show that the idea can work

Anyways i'm losing the track here, hope i somehow make sense

What i'm trying to say is either through dialogue, body language or the enviroment, bugs is a cunt, i mean clown.
