Things that help me calm down when I’m feeling down/anxiety is taking over

•Light a candle and listen to some music. Preferably in a dark room, but if you don’t like darkness, open the blinds. Here’s my playlist:

•Make a comfort drink/meal. For me, I personally love the Ponyo drink (with the addition of whipped cream)

•Comfort show! For me, I love watching Avatar the Last Airbender, Bluey, or whatever to help me calm down. But whatever is your feel good comfort show. Just unwind!

•Do one of your favorite hobbies. Whether that be knitting, sewing, baking, reading, etc.

•Most important step. TURN OFF YOUR PHONE. Maybe even put it in a different room. Just get off of it. Especially social media. Social media is a mind numbing DUMPSTER FIRE.

Jakeward fanfic recs on tumblr? I'm not sure, I actually cant even remember the ones I've read on tumblr unfortunately. BUTT I will always recommend FrankieQuinn13 on Ao3 and Fanfiction.net because they are my absolute favourite jakeward author of all time.

I'm pretty sure @edwardsmate4ever has some on tumblr but they also post on Fanfiction.net and Ao3 too. They got some good shit too.

Tell Me What The Night Smells Like

A/N: @asexualmisconduct requested this fic. I know I should be going in order of requests and that I should actually be doing real things instead of writing fluff buttttttt I was bored and wanted to write something short. So here lol. Sue me. 

Pairings: Harry Potter x Draco Malfoy 

Summary: Harry couldn’t fall asleep that night. There was this nagging feeling in his chest as if he was anticipating something and had forgotten what it was. It was a dreadful feeling, this weight inside of him. 

Draco decides that perhaps the chosen one simply needs something to take his mind off of things. 

Or, “could you do a Jedtavius fic or maybe drarry if you have time? 🙃”

Warnings: none 

Harry leaned his weight on the metal railing. It was still wet from the storm earlier that evening. The clouds were still an off white gray; the same color of dirty gym socks and watered down ink spilled on essays.

The same sort of clouds that covered Hogwarts in the days leading up to winter. Harry could remember the sort of chill that followed him on those days. Regardless of how many times he wrapped his scarf around his neck, he couldn't seem to be able to shake the shiver from underneath his skin. 

The atmosphere outside his flat was still wet now. It had stopped raining but there was still mist in the air. Droplets clung to his spectacles but he didn’t care. Harry could see through them. He could see the few lights still on in the buildings across from him. The boy who lived wasn’t the only night owl. 

“Harry,” Draco almost sang from the open doorway, “What are you doing out in the cold?” 

“Sorry,” he said for no reason except from habit. “Couldn’t sleep.” 

“So your bright idea was to freeze to death?” Draco teased, stepping out onto the balcony and closing the door behind him to keep in the warmth. The instant he was fully out of the reach of the fire’s embrace, Draco wrapped his arms around himself. Goose flesh formed on his exposed skin: his pale neck and the parts of his ankles his socks didn’t reach. “Can you brood insight at least, Potter?” 

Harry chuckled but it seemed to come from somewhere besides his heart. “You haven’t called me that in forever.” 

There was a far off look to his eyes. Despite being right in front of him, Harry felt far away. “What’s on your mind,” Draco asked calmly, moving towards the dark haired man. He rested his chin on Harry’s shoulder and slowly wrapped his body around the other. His arms braced Harry in as if his body alone could prevent the brunette from catching a cold. 

“Nothing really…” Harry trailed off, though he leaned back against the taller man. A light went out in the building in front of them. It was getting later and later by the moment. The mist was not letting up. It thickened and Harry could see the evidence of it on his glasses. Soon he would be blinded by it. “I-I just have this feeling. It’s probably nothing. I—I know it’s nothing, but sometimes I feel like I’m forgetting something?” 

“Hmmm,” Draco acknowledged. He pressed his lips onto Harry’s temple beneath his outgrown curls. They would soon need to cut it again. “Can I convince you to come inside at least? Perhaps that will make the feeling not go away per say, but lighten it?” 

Draco squeezed him. The fabric of the blonde’s nightclothes were soft, warm to the touch. He smelt of warm milk and honey and clover. “Could you kiss me again? It makes the feeling go away for a mere moment.” 

“Ugh, so demanding,” Draco smiled into the kiss, his words without an ounce of heat to them. “What are we going to do with you? Wait until the Ministry hears that their famed Harry Potter is asking for kisses.” Draco marked his words with more and more presses of his lips. He took in Harry’s skin, held him close, and didn’t let go. Not even when Harry began giggling uncontrollably. 

Suffice to say Harry slept easy that night.
