Random Morales Twins Headcanons
Earth!1610 is referred as Miles
Earth!42 is referred as Milan
**Some grammar mistakes may be present! English is not my first language. I will be back on a later date to revise it.**
Tumblr media
Miles likes salty snacks better than sweet. He likes chips and beef jerky. While Milan is a sweets guy, cakes and flan are his favorites.
Milan gives Miles his leftovers, and Miles gives him his dessert. At school, they trade their snacks with each other. Rio sometimes packs Milan more salty stuff and he gives them to Miles.
They frequently go to a corner shop to buy snacks. The owner even knows what they are getting before they pay. A bottled coke and Oreos for Milan. A blue Gatorade and plantain chips for Miles.
Milan was born a few minutes after Miles. He was also a weak baby, he almost didn’t make it and was put on life support.
He also has asma and carries around his pump. Even Miles has one on him at all times just in case.
Miles was the fat twin! He got bullied in elementary school and Milan always came to his rescue. Punching bullies left and right. He was the only one how could make fun of his brother and no one else!
The principle called their parents more than one time a month thanks to his behavior issues. But like Miles chubbiness they slowly grew out of it.
Milan still stayed the grumpy and slightly violent twin. His other half stayed sweet and ball of sunshine.
Miles is taller and lanky. Milan is on the shorter side but stronger than Miles. He has a pull up bar on his door frame thanks to his uncle telling him that girls like buff guys.
Speaking of girls, Milan is the fuck boy of the two. Miles is very awkward when it comes to love, I see him getting that from Jeff.
Miles seems more like a romantic type of guy. While Milan just doesn’t naturally put so much effort into love. I see that changing when he get older and meets someone that truly listens and appreciates him like a lover.
Milan has definitely tried sneaking girls in, but Rio has that Boricua spider sense and always catches him. She beats him with the holy trinity after: the chancla, the belt, and the broom stick.
They rough house a lot! Like they are in the kitchen with Rio and they just take any reason to tackle each other.
Mami wants help with cooking? They fight for which one of them is going to chop the onions.
Dad wants help with moving the TV? Cue them on the floor and bitting each other.
One time things got out of hand when they were alone. Rio and Jeff were on a date. They were arguing over the last pice of cake they had in the fridge. And they started shoveling each other. As they were pulling each others hair, Milan lifted Miles over the sofa and he felt on top of the coffee table breaking it’s legs.
When Rio and Jeff came back they were greeted with the body gluing it back together.
“Mom, it was an accident I swear!”
“Nah mami he broke it with his fat ass.”
Milan is always throwing his twin under the bus. But only on the little things! He knows how to keep his other secrets between themselves.
Milan is the most fashionable twin. His colors are purple, green, black and gray.
Miles are black, red, blue, and white.
Uncle Aaron has many old 80s and 90s clothes in several boxes inside his closet. Milan always asks Aaron when the twins visit if he has any of his old cloths he can have. Aaron had nice taste back them!
I believe Milan knew that he was the Prowler way before Miles did. One time the twins stayed over watching Aaron’s apartment when he was away for a “job” (aka murder and robberies) and Milan when into his room to steal a jacket. As he looked around the clothing a box fell from the top of the racks. It hit the twin on the head. The contents of it were and the floor and his face. He took the item of his face.
“What the…”
Milan held up a busted up mask that looked exactly like the one the villain had a few years back. He made the connections and quickly put everything back. Forgetting even what he was looking for in the first place. He went back to the living room pale, in shock.
“Are you ok? You look like you saw a ghost.” Miles said from his spot on the sofa, drawing in his notebook.
“Yeah…” Milan said out of character looking at his hands. He pasted out on the carpet.
“Milan!”
Milan likes going to thrift stores and vintage shops to find his clothes. He drags Miles along because he needs to get out of those sports clothes.
Miles is groaning under the insane amount of cloths in his arms as his twin shops for himself.
Milan threw another pair of pants on the pail in Miles hands. He couldn’t even see Miles anymore.
“Milan I don’t even want this stuff!”
“Well you sure do need it. Know shut up and try those things on.”
Miles came out with a full outfit. Oversized zip up hoodie, white sleeve undershirt, printed tee, blue jeans, and another pair of trainers. Thank god! He took off his Jordans for once in his life!
Miles looked himself in the mirror. Milan had a grin on his face.
“I look good!”
“Of course you look good. I put it together after all.”
He’s going to get Miles some hoes!!!
Both of the boy love there parents equally but mama Rio is their favorite. She could be watching novelas on the sofa and if one of the twins sees her she’s going to have a grown has man sitting on her lap.
They put their head on her chest and smell her.
And she likes it too! She’s all like: “¡Mi Bebe hermoso! Estas tan grande. Quiero que te pongas chiquito otra vez.” Rio kisses their cheeks and squishes them.
If Miles is the first one to get on Rios lap and Milan sees it he is throwing a hissy fit. He tries pushing Miles off.
“¡Déjame un ratito! Ma tell him his breaking your legs.”
“Why don’t you go with dad?”
“Because he doesn’t cuddle me right! Ma does it better!”
Jeff heard that and got all sad. Later at night he was crying to Rio asking her if he was a good cuddle buddy. She lied to him haha.
Miles hobby/talent is drawing and I believe that Milan’s is music. Milan with a raspy and romantic singing voice?!? Yes please! I believe he likes to do rap and classic pop.
He writes his own lyrics and his uncle composes tracks for him to practice on. Aaron even installed a soundproof room for Milan. And an art studio for Miles with expensive paints and pencils.
The twins go to each other for constructive criticism. They take their words to heart and help each other out. Even if they have girl trouble they go to each other first and then Uncle Aaron.
They definitely practice the shoulder touch on each other. Faking to barf when they say “Hey…” to each other.
On the weekends if their parents are working they take lunch to them. Milan is the chef of the family making them a Tupperware of rice, pollo asado (which is a type of Puerto Rican chicken), and sweet plantains. Miles only stares at his brother. Only there for taste testing. Miles ate almost half of the plantains before Milan even started plating the food.
Miles looked at the servings and saw almost 10 Tupperwares more that there should be.
“Are you going to bring some for the nurse mami works with?”
“Yep! You know how much those girls love them. They can’t get enough of me. Have you seen other patients get more that one lollipop? No you haven’t!”
“The only reason they give you so much candy is because you ask another one every five minutes we are there.”
“Shut up!”
They first stop was the police station. They made fun of there dad every time they were there. The receptionist also played their game. Milan handed her a plate of hot food. Miles was looking around then his brother can back with two cuffs. And told his brother the plan.
They sat in the section were they typically put the criminals. A room with big glass windows. Putting on the cuffs. They gave the receptionist a thumbs up. The speaker sounded.
“Officer Jefferson Davis, there is two young males waiting for temporary incarceration.”
Their dad came to view, coffee in hand. As soon as he saw HIS sons in the glass chamber he dropped his coffee cup and his jaw slacked. Milan banged the glass with his cuffed hands.
“Your delinquent sons are here!”
Miles rubbed his face on the glass. Milan did the same. The people of the station looked at him in weird ways.
“You damned kids. Get out of there your embarrassing me!”
He gave his sons a good chuck to the head earning laughs from them. Miles gave him the food and Jeff wanted to not feel happy about the hot meal. The kids ran out the satiation.
“This doesn’t make me feel any better, boys!”
Jeff screamed out. He loved those kids a little to much.
They later went to the hospital. They arrived a few minutes before there mom got off for lunch. Milan handed out the rest of the food to the nurses. With a big grin on his face. The lady’s pinched his cheeks in gratitude. Their mom got word her sons were here. And it wasn’t word of mouth it was because the nurses were going crazy for them.
“¡Mira estos nenes tan lindos!”
“Ma!”
“Mom!”
They hugged their mom and handed her the last plate. She looked absolutely delighted. The boys said their goodbyes. They peeled themselves from the nurses. Now they headed towards Uncle Aaron’s place to relax, to draw and rap.

For Asma, 1, 2, and 30 :3
Asking the deep questions HUH kat I see (ily)
1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?
Tumblr media
Asma has conflicted feelings about her father. She remembers as a young child that she was close to her father. In her hazy memory of him, she remembers a warm smile and her small hand in his warm palm, but that’s all she can recall about what he was like as a father. He disappeared sometime after she and Ashura turned five. Ashura insists he abandoned them but Asma clings to the idea that he didn’t - that something must’ve happened to him that caused him to never come back without really knowing why. The absence of her father and the effect his disappearance had on her family influenced her more than anything she can remember about him.
2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?
Asma pities her mom more than she hates her but does also hate her. Once Asma stopped trying to impress or gain her attention (since it never worked), she began to lash out and become more aggressive and irritable toward her. Asma’s mom projected her fears onto everyone, especially Asma, who she saw as just like her when she was younger and in the process of making so many mistakes. The nagging voice Asma always hears in her head picking apart her every decision as Inquisitor is always of her mom’s. Many of her doubts are traced back to the influence Asma’s mother had on her growing up.
30. Are they holding on to something in the past? Can he or she forgive?
Asma holds a massive grudge against Ashura due to the fact that her mother always preferred him over her no matter what. Ashura seemed to do everything right and she did everything wrong - it felt almost like a betrayal since as young children, Asma and Ashura were inseparable and Ashura always relied on Asma to guide him and help him overcome his difficulty speaking around people outside of their family. As soon as he gained attention from their mother due to the early manifestation of his magic, Asma felt abandoned. The truth is that they both love each other very much and Ashura spends a lot of time trying to earn her forgiveness during the events of Dragon Age Inquisition. He still annoys the hell out of her though.

🌸Friday Series🌸
by Asma bint Shameem
🌿Seize the Last Hour today🌿
Today is a beautiful chance to make duaa for our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
That’s because there’s a SPECIAL TIME on Fridays when our Duaas are GUARANTEED to be accepted.
🍃 The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“The day of Friday has twelve hours, in which there is no Muslim slave who asks Allaah for anything but He will grant it to him, so seek it in the last hour after ‘Asr.”
(Abu Dawood, and an-Nasaa’i- saheeh by al-Albaani)
This is known as Sa’at al-Istijaabah (a time when Duaa is answered)
So the Duaa that’s made before Maghrib on Fridays is answered.
That’s why some of our pious predecessors would close their businesses, leave the world behind and confine themselves to the masjid after Asr, just to make Duaa.
🍃When Mufaddal bin Fudhaalah would pray Asr on Fridays, he would seclude himself alone to a corner of the masjid and then continue making duaa until the sun would set.
🍃 Similarly, Sa’eed bin Jubayr would pray Asr, then he would not speak to anyone until the sun would set - meaning that he would busy himself with duaa.
🍃 Ṣalt bin Bastaam once became blind, so his brothers sat after Asr on Friday making duaa for him, and suddenly before the sun set, he sneezed and his sight returned!
So be SURE to make good use of this time.
Free yourself up of all other distractions and make special efforts to set aside this time only for duaa.
Beg Allaah for His Mercy on the people of Palestine and the rest of the Ummah.
Be sincere and make taubah of all your sins.
Cry and beseech His Help and victory in that SPECIAL ‘HOUR’ when Duaa is accepted on Fridays, this evening.
‎🍃 Ibn al-Qayyim said:
‎“The Hour of Response in it (i.e. Friday) is like the Night of Decree in Ramadhaan.” ⁣
‎⁣(Zaad al-Maa’d 1/398)
Surely Allaah’s Help is near.

how WAS darwin and asma's relationship when they were together?? sorry if you've explained this before i havent read the reckoning in a While
see here’s the thing about darwin. he’s so chipper and cheery that if he likes you he really is quite the fun person to be around. so i imagine darwin and asma were quite the fun loving party couple who rode on the town all the time, but then one time asma brings up the subject of mortals around darwin and they are just. disgusted. at how little darwin speaks of them like they’re objects or piles of dirt cos he likes them better if they’re his skeletons. and that wasn’t an INSTANT deal breaker asma figured maybe they can change his mind. they couldn’t.
eventually darwin was the one who broke it off because he got bored and asma was like “thank sol” cos they knew they had to be cordial with him cos his parents are their boss

How Israel's judicial system handles the estimated 7000 Palestinians in its prisons
December 2, 2023 NPR's Asma Khalid speaks to Dror Sadot of B'Tselem The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, about how Israel has detained thousands of Palestinians for years.
SADOT: "So the system is actually not the Israeli court system. It's the military court system, meaning that it operates differently on Israelis than on Palestinians. The Palestinians who are being arrested are being prosecuted in a military court under military rule."
KHALID: And so what do we know about these - would you describe them as military tribunals then?
SADOT: "Yes. It's basically prosecutors and the judges are soldiers operating under military laws. And it's much more a political means of control than a justice system."
SADOT: "So there are trials, but there are more than 2,873 administrative detainees. And administrative detainees is actually a very unlawful way of charging people without any evidence. Basically, it means that Israel detains people because they think that they might do something in the future."

Do you know that?
Or shall I remind you of that honor?
Ukhty, O my dear sister in Islam, you are an honor that was given by Allah to your husband. You are not just a mere wife or one of his wives. You, yourself is a gift, a blessing - an honor.
Let me tell you a story of a woman who showcased such great care of taking care of herself because she knew that she is her husband’s honor.
______
Her name was Asma Bint Abu Bakr Radiyallahu Anha, she is a famous sahabiyah (female companion of the Prophet ﷺ) and she also was blessed with great connection with the family of the Prophet ﷺ. Her sister was the Prophet’s ﷺ wife, Aisha Radiyallahu Anha, and she was the wife of the Prophet’s ﷺ cousin - Zubair Ibn Al Awwam Radiyallahu Anhu.
One day, Asma Bint Abu Bakr Radiyallahu Anha was returning to Madinah from its suburbs while carrying some date stones over her head. The Prophet ﷺ passed by her on a camel.
When the Prophet ﷺ saw this, he ﷺ said to the camel driver, “Stop, stop, let us pick up Asma.” The Prophet ﷺ invited her to sit on the camel. She replied, “I kept in mind the honor of my husband Zubair and excused myself from riding the camel.”
_______
One may ask, why would someone refuse a ride with the Prophet ﷺ, right? Asma’s  Radiyallahu Anha refusal to do so just shows you that she has both respect and obedience to her husband, not only for his honor but also for his feelings - just how a Muslim woman is supposed to have.
Indeed, we are living in a world where temptations amongst opposite genders are rising like boiling water. It’s here and there. No one is safe except those who keep lowering their gazes and those who honor the rights of their spouses and the rights of Allah over them.
My dear sister in Islam, let me ask you a few things:
- Whenever you are on these social media platforms and a brother messages you out of the blue - do you remember your husband’s honor?
Do not reply, rather direct the brother to your husband or better yet, show the message to your husband and let him reply to the brother. It’s not overacting, it’s called being a wife.
- Whenever you are in a doubt on something or you are facing a dilemma regarding “simple” matters of deen and you are advised to ask a scholar wherein you are put in a situation where a male scholar can be “easily” asked - do you remember your husband’s honor?
A lot of the women take advantage of their situations to go forth and approach “famous” scholars/speakers online leading them into getting into idle talks with such. This is not something new - this has happened to many already for there is a trend of celebrity scholars/speakers in our midst. So, if there is a dire need and the issue does not concern you and the husband - why can’t you ask your husband to ask for you - why is there a need for you to be the one to speak and can’t we find female scholars to answer that?
My dear sisters, a lot of the female scholars of Islam have emerged but indeed we don’t readily find them online like the male ones, so you have to make that little effort of asking and looking for them.
Just look at Asma Radiyallahu Anha, it was the Prophet ﷺ himself who offered him and the Prophet ﷺ is someone of high status and no scholar can match him yet this didn’t lure Asma rather it made her remember her husband even more. Also, realize that the Prophet ﷺ isn’t like any man who had lust and desire towards Asma unlike nowadays, almost all men are filled with it.
- Whenever you travel or go to the mall where you are exposed to all these prying eyes of men - do you remember your husband’s honor?
Empowered women are not women who travel alone, when there is fitnah everywhere, empowered women are women who honor their chastity by covering themselves up to the point that even their fingertips shall be unseen out of their fear of Allah that they might tempt others into fitnah as well as covering what is needed to be covered in honor of  what Allah has commanded them and for their husbands.
Indeed, empowered women are such women who know their honor.
Ukhty, my beloved sister, you have to know that you are your husband’s honor.
Truly, in these trying times - it is easy to fall into the traps of Shaytaan - especially traps that are concerning the opposite gender. Protect yourself by remember who you are - you are a Muslim - you are a sister of a brother, a daughter of a father and you are bound (if not yet) a wife to a husband and a mother to a son.
You do not need titles of “Ms. Universe or Ms. World” to tell the world that you are of something because being a Muslim by itself is such a great blessing also and adding up the honor of being a wife to a husband who fears Allah - no worldly title can reach that.
You are his honor, always remember that.
______
May Allah protect the marriages of all the Muslim women and men, rekindle the hearts of those who grew apart to find that spark within them to make a failing marriage work again and may Allah bless every believing men and women the gift of nikkah.
Amin.
Zohayma

27th of September 2023
I attended a guest lecture by the muslim scholar Prof. Dr. amina wadud yesterday. The topic of her lecture was "Women and Non-Binary Matter: New Pathways through Islamic Ethics, Authority and Traditions".
If you are a university student and you attend guest lectures, I don't have to tell you this. But if you find yourself thinking "hmmm.. maybe not today..." this is your sign to go! If there's a scholar from abroad speaking about a topic you're interested in, go hear them! The amount of inspiration I get from a guest lecture every single time is priceless. You WILL learn things that your university won't teach you.
amina wadud is best known as the Lady Imam. I was thrilled to hear that she would speak at my university - inspired by nearly 50 years of research and work she is considered one of the top scholars in progressive Islamic thought, often sparking controversy and discussion. More on her here: https://aminawadud.com/
Some of the key points I take away from her lecture are:
The islamic tradition in general and first and foremost the Quran are not free from ambiguity. An example for this is how it states in the Quran (97: 1-5) the Quran has been revealed in one night, lailat al-qadr, whereas the islamic tradition tells us that the Quran was revealed to the prophet over a span of 20 years.
wadud points out that ambiguities like these call for us to get involved. Only when we take a step towards the tradition, embracing ambiguity, we can reconcile with the texts. Only this way we can make out their meaning to apply them in our practices. "Reconciliation is a matter of choice."
wadud sees ambiguity not only as means to engage into a deeper exegesis of the texts, but also as a door-opener, and this was my favorite part of her lecture. She says "where something is ambiguous, there is space for compassion."
wadud pushes for an interpretation of the islamic sources that does justice to the dignity (karāma) God gave ALL people. This includes men, women and non-binary humans alike.
Many voices in the field see their views challenged. wadud says: "It's not the methods they disagree with, it's the conclusions." waduds conclusions call for a more inclusive islamic praxis, defying patriarchy and the gender binary. Any reading of a sacred text has to benefit the community. That's why it's important to ask: Who does my reading benefit? Who does it harm?
Quran exegesis (tafsīr), for a long time, has been focusing on the male experience. For wadud, it's now time for non-male experiences and voices to be included when interpreting the islamic sources. "Allah is omnipotent but doesn't oppress. Oppression or (zulm) is not only inequality but also arrogant and ungodly."
Prof. Dr. Melissa M. Wilcox, who also attended the lecture, added: "Where people are afraid, ambiguity becomes intolerable."
My thoughts: this might just be the biggest test for the muslim community (umma) today. As it says in the Quran: "Do people think once they say, 'we believe', that they will be left without being put to the test?" (29:2) A compassionate and inclusive reading of sacred texts is called for. And the second step is the most crucial: putting the findings into action to fight oppression and to reduce harm to the community.

[Book Review] 🧕Vol. 2: Muslim Woman’s Participation in Social Life🧕
🧮 Score: 3.8/5.0 . "To sum up, social meeting between men and women entails that they look at each other. This is perfectly alright, as long as they behave decently, not gazing hard at each other or coupling their gaze with desire." - page 50.
Tumblr media
■ This book is a part of the abridged version of Abd al-Halim Abu Shuqqah’s eight-volume series, originally published in Arabic, titled: “ Tahrir al-Mar’ah fi ‘Asr al-Risalah”. The cases he presented and discussed are sourced mainly from Saheeh al-Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim. His work provides a nuanced perspective on Muslim women’s issues. . ■ In this volume, the author presented insightful cases on mixed social life as the pattern in the early Muslim society book that sheds light on the multifaceted roles and contributions of Muslim women during the Prophet’s lifetime, challenging stereotypes and misconceptions. It covers topics on ibadah, works, minglings and more. He stressed on the importance of women’s participation in wider fields in shaping their communities and building nations.
Tumblr media
■ He addressed many common “misogyny” practices or biases that persist in our culture. It is refreshing and comforting seeing the author point out the nonsensical stances that have been made to appear “religious” while having no reflection on the Sunnah, frankly speaking.
I really like and always am reminded of a hadith that tells the incident where Saidina Umar and Lady Asma argued about who has a better claim to Rasulullah regarding their hijrah. The way she stood up for herself is beautiful. :) Cos we know from seerah, people usually “fear” Saidina Umar. . ■ Nonetheless, the author still emphasises Islamic principles regarding modesty and appropriate conduct at all times. In a few cases, he repeated the hadiths, but explain them from different perspectives and touching different issues. Although, there are a few issues discussed that can be controversial and still up for scholarly debate, wallahualam.
Tumblr media
■ I appreciate the author's efforts, may Allah swt has mercy on his soul. I encouraged my fellow sisters to read all the volumes in this series. So far, so good, alhamdulillah. A recommended book for quick references and understanding of Muslim women’s issues. . ---- ● Buy a preloved copy here: https://carousell.app.link/tT6bGIQLpCb . ● Buy new copies here: https://www.imanshoppe.com/products/the-muslim-womans-participation-in-social-life-volume-2-by-abd-al-halim-abu-shuqqah?ref=ICHAMICHA

The Covid pandemic has caused the deaths of nearly 15 million people around the world, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates.
That is 13% more deaths than normally expected over two years.
The WHO believes many countries undercounted the numbers who died from Covid - only 5.4 million were reported.
In India, there were 4.7 million Covid deaths, it says - 10 times the official figures - and almost a third of Covid deaths globally.
The Indian government has questioned the estimate, saying it has "concerns" about the methodology, but other studies have come to similar conclusions about the scale of deaths in the country.

The measure used by the WHO is called excess deaths - how many more people died than would normally be expected based on mortality in the same area before the pandemic hit.
These calculations also take into account deaths which were not directly because of Covid but instead caused by its knock-on effects, like people being unable to access hospitals for the care they needed. It also accounts for poor record-keeping in some regions, and sparse testing at the start of the crisis.
But the WHO said the majority of the extra 9.5 million deaths seen above the 5.4 million Covid deaths reported were thought to be direct deaths caused by the virus, rather than indirect deaths.
Tumblr media
Speaking about the scale of the figures, Dr Samira Asma, from the WHO's data department, said "It's a tragedy.
"It's a staggering number and it's important for us to honour the lives that are lost, and we have to hold policymakers accountable," she said.
"If we don't count the dead, we will miss the opportunity to be better prepared for the next time."
Alongside India, countries with the highest total excess deaths included Russia, Indonesia, USA, Brazil, Mexico and Peru, the WHO figures suggest. The numbers for Russia are three-and-a-half times the country's recorded deaths.
The report also looks at the rates of excess deaths relative to each country's population size. The UK's excess mortality rate - like America, Spain and Germany - was above the global average during 2020 and 2021.
Tumblr media
Countries with low excess mortality rates included China, which is still pursuing a policy of "zero Covid" involving mass testing and quarantines, Australia, which imposed strict travel restrictions to keep the virus out of the country, Japan and Norway.
The academics who helped compile the report admit their estimates are more speculative for countries in sub-Saharan Africa, because there is little data on deaths in the region. There were no reliable statistics for 41 out of 54 countries in Africa.
Statistician Prof Jon Wakefield, from Seattle's University of Washington, helped the WHO and told the BBC: "We urgently need better data collection systems.
"It is a disgrace that people can be born and die - and we have no record of their passing.
"So we really need to invest in countries' registration systems so we can get accurate and timely data."

THE FEMALE COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET (PBUH): Part 21
ASMA BINT YAZID (radhiallahu anha)
The era of the Prophet was an era of knowledge. The Companions who were around the sublime Prophet learned many things from the source of knowledge. They asked the Messenger of Allah about the problems they encountered in daily life and asked him various questions. Not only men but also women went into the presence of the Prophet to ask them about their problems. For, they knew that modesty did not prevent learning one’s religion. There was no need to feel ashamed while learning one’s religion.
One of the women who caused many issues, especially those about women, to be clarified was Asma bint Yazid (r.anha). Hz. Asma was a woman of Ansar.
When the Prophet migrated to Madinah, the women of Ansar paid allegiance to him and promised that they would not
“cry out loud as if they were screaming after a dead person, follow a funeral, associate any partners with Allah, steal, commit adultery and kill their children”.
One of those women was Hz. Asma. She kept her promise throughout her life. Like the other female Companions, Asma loved the Messenger of Allah very much, served her and treated her some food whenever she could. She was not rich but she was generous. She took spiritual pleasure when she shared her food and drink with the Messenger of Allah. Once, she saw that the Messenger of Allah was performing the evening prayer at the mosque. She went home. She prepared some bread and raisins. She waited for him outside the mosque and invited him to her house. The Messenger of Allah did not want to break the heart of this self-sacrificing Companions. He went to her house with some Companions. Hz. Asma put the food she had prepared in front of the Messenger of Allah and said,
“O Messenger of Allah! May my mother and father be sacrificed for you! Help yourselves.”
The Prophet said to his Companions
“Help yourselves! Bismillah!”
They ate the food. After narrating this incident, Hz. Asma said,
“I swear by Allah, in whose hand is my existence, that I saw with my own eyes. The group of 40 people could not finish the bread or raisins. After eating, they drank water and left. When the people in my family got ill, we would drink the water that was left in the water-skin by the Messenger of Allah and the Companions and got well. Our sustenance increased thanks to it.”( Tabaqat, 8: 319-320. )
Hz. Asma sometimes went to the house of the Prophet and listened to the talk of the Prophet with the other women.
When the Prophet married Hz. Aisha, Hz. Asma was there with some other female Companions. After the Prophet drank some milk, she gave the bowl of milk to Hz. Aisha. She did not want to take it because she was feeling very shy. Thereupon, Hz. Asma said,
“O, Aisha! Do not refuse the offer of the Messenger of Allah. Take it and drink it.”
Hz. Aisha took the bowl drank some milk and gave it back. This time, the Prophet gave the bowl to Hz. Asma. She took it and drank from the milk that the Prophet had left.( Musnad, 6: 458. )
Hz. Asma was distinguished among the female Companions due to her straightforwardness and eloquence.
Therefore, she was known as “the Orator of the Women”. When the women of Madinah wanted to ask the Prophet something and learn from him, they would send her as their representative. She would go to the Prophet and tell the Messenger of Allah clearly about the issue.
Once, the women chose her as their representative and sent her to the Prophet to ask about an issue that occupied their minds.  Hz. Asma appeared before the Prophet; when she was given permission to speak, she said,
“O Messenger of Allah! May my mother and father be sacrificed for you!”
After expressing her respect, she spoke as follows:
“I am the representative of some women. There is no doubt that Allah Almighty sent you as His Prophet for all mankind – men, and women. We believe in you and your Lord.  We, women, live within our houses and fulfill the legitimate wishes of our husbands. Men are superior to us in that they perform Friday prayers and attend congregational prayers in the mosques, visit ill people, take part in the janazah prayer and go to hajj many times. The most virtuous of all is taking part in jihad. When men go to hajj, umrah or jihad, we to protect their property, clean and repair their clothes. We look after their children. Are we going to be given the same rewards as men?”
After listening to Asma’s talk, the Prophet appreciated her intelligence and eloquence; he said to the Companions who were there,
“Have you ever heard any women asking a religious question to speak more eloquently than her?”
Then, he gave the following glad tiding to Asma and all believing women:
“Listen and tell the other women whom you are representing! If a woman gets on well with her husband and attains his consent, she receives the same rewards for the deeds that you have listed.”( Usdu'l-Ghaba, 5: 398. )
Hz. Asma left joyfully after the answer of the Prophet. She wanted to give the glad tiding to her friends. She told them what she had heard from the Messenger of Allah. All of the women became very happy when they heard the glad tiding. From then on, they regarded housework as worshipping bringing them rewards not as a burden.
Asma, who sometimes listened to the talks of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and learned from him, narrated 81 hadiths. One of them is as follows:
“The Prophet said to his Companions, ‘Shall I tell you who are the best ones among people?’ They said, ‘Yes! O Messenger of Allah!’ He said, ‘The ones you see mentioning Allah (dhikr).’ Then, he said, ‘Shall I tell you who are the worst ones among people? They are the ones who drive a wedge between people who gossip and act as talebearers.”( Musnad, 6: 459. )
Another hadith is as follows:
“When Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet, died, the Messenger of Allah wept. Hz. Abu Bakr or Umar said to him, ‘You are indeed the best of those who glorify Allah with what is due to him.’ Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: ‘The eye weeps and the heart grieves, but we do not say anything that angers the Lord. O, Ibrahim! If the death was not something that inevitably comes to all, and that the latter did not join the former, we would be sadder than we are now.’“( Ibn Majah, Janaiz: 53. )
Hz. Asma, who was known for her braveness and heroism along with her intelligence, participated in the Battle of Yarmuk in order to take care of the wounded people and to give the mujahids water. Once, she grabbed a tent pole and went to the battlefield.  She killed nine Byzantine soldiers. ( Hayatu’s-Sahaba, 1: 442. )
It is not known where and when this great Islamic woman, who did not hesitate to sacrifice her life in order to spread Islam and to punish those who wanted to eliminate Islam, died.
May Allah be pleased with her!

Who is Allah?
Who is Allah?
“Allah” is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worship one God. The God of Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus - peace be upon them all.
What is the meaning of Ayatul Kursi?
The Throne Verse (Arabic: آيَةُ ٱلْكُرْسِيِّ, Ayat Al-Kursi) is the 255th verse of the 2nd chapter of the Quran, Al-Baqara (Q2:255). The verse speaks about how nothing and nobody is regarded to be comparable to God.
There is no 'true God' except Allah.
Tawheed is to knowing, believing, declaring, obeying the oneness and uniqueness of Allah. The Oneness of Allah i.e. Tawheed consists of three parts. (i) Tawheed ar-Rububiyyah (Maintaining the Oneness of Allah's Lordship). (ii) Tawheed al-Asma-Was-Sifat (Maintaining the Oneness of Allah's Names and Attributes). (iii) Tawheed al-Ibadah (maintaining unity of worship). Allah is the only 'true Lord'. In all matters related to Allah, Allah is One, Sole, Final, Perfect and without partners. He has no peer or equivalent. Allah is to be known by His most beautiful Names and Perfect Attributes. From the first man and the first Prophet Adam (a.s.) to the last Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the basic call of all prophets and messengers was 'La ilaha illAllah' (there is no 'true God' but Allah). Namely: 'La Ilaha IllAllah Adamu Shafiullah'', 'La Ilaha IllAllah Nuhun Naziullah'', 'La Ilaha IllAllah Ibrahim Khalilullah', 'La Ilaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah'.
Tawheed - The first call of the Messengers  Rejecting Taghut is the root of Tawheed.
